Once when Tony and Tali were in Paris without Ziva, she went there without saying anything to follow a lead.

She took the opportunity to see Tony and Tali,from afar without them knowing. She was hidden with her camera in a bush, Tony and Tali were walking into the streets. Suddenly Tony stopped,stared at the bush and called Tali pointing at it. Ziva thought he spotted her but then she understood he was pointing at a little duck near the bush. At this she felt relief cause it would have been dangerous if he knew she was there but a little sad cause she missed them. All this until the duck ran away,Tali turned away to eat her ice cream,bored and Tony still stood there, waving at her

You thought you were having a good day, so when Rosa had asked you to go out with her to run a couple of errands you had agreed, wanting nothing more than to spend time with her. However, that all seemed to crash and burn about an hour and a half into the errands, you were in the middle of trying to find the correct change for the lady standing waiting impatiently behind the register and you heard her mutter under her breath “God why do people have to be so damn stupid?” that was it for you, you're suddenly gasping for air as you slam down the correct change and grabbing your purchases before you push your way through the crowd behind you.  Gasping for air once you exit the store you fall in a heap on the ground as sobs wreck their way through your body. You feel a hand on your back and you know whose it is, but still it’s not enough to stop the sobbing

“Oh my sweet Y/N” Rosa whispers before she turns and glowers at the crowd muttering around you

“If you all don’t move away from here I will literally kill each and every one of you. Have you no compassion?” she threatens and you sniffle

“Rosa?” you ask

“Yes babe?” she responds her attention fully on you again

“Take me home please” you whisper, voice cracking on the last word and she nods, doing exactly as you request.

Day 14 fall picnic

A/N: tiva-ish, season 7, apparently I forgot to mention the vital aspect of 'fall', so just, I dunno, imagine trees in full fall attire

"Why are we having lunch at the National Mall?" Ziva asked Tony as she sat down on the bench where he had placed a picnic basket.

"Because I had planned on us having a picnic here to celebrate your citizenship, but you know, things happened, appendages were lost, thankfully none of mine..."

"Is a picnic without a blanket a picnic?" she asked with a smile, tearing a small piece off of the croissant she had grabbed from the basket.

"It is if you pulled a back muscle and wouldn’t be able to get up again."

"I would help you back up, old man."

The mischievous smile on her lips was hard to ignore, even more so when she popped the piece of croissant in her mouth and chewed slowly.

He dragged his gaze upwards and was met with eyes full of mirth. "Call me old man one more time and I'll never speak to you again." He opened a bottle of champagne, and filled the plastic champagne flutes.

"Promise?"

The teasing tone of her voice awoke the dormant butterflies in his stomach. It hadn't felt like this between them in a long time.

He handed her a glass, looked her straight in the eyes, and confidently said, "You would miss my voice."

The brightness in her eyes seemed to dim momentarily, before a soft smile appeared on her lips. "I did.

Oooh, your WIP list is fascinating. Normally mine looks a lot more like that too, but the inspiration has been running low lately. I'd most like to know about to be wanted (by you) and Separation Anxiety, please and thankyou!

I'm very low on inspiration, too. I need the tiva spin-off. Right. Now.

I got the idea for to be wanted (by you) from a post here. It's a tag to the episode where Tony thinks he's going to be on the NCIS recruitment poster or whatever, and at the end they choose Gibbs instead. Ziva tries to console him by pointing out that his shoulder made it onto the poster. In the fic, Tony is still moping later that day and Ziva endeavors to...help him through it. There is also some Ziva introspection about her instinct to absorb the emotions of others because I can't resist. Here's a snippet:

Now she caught herself. Did she sense when Gibbs was displeased with his agents’ meager findings on a case? Yes. Could she perceive Abby’s disappointment over McGee missing their friendiversary? Of course. But that was where it stopped, the awareness. She no longer felt the need to mitigate the emotions of others. Except, perhaps, when it came to Tony DiNozzo. Granted, it took concerted effort to ignore her partner’s antics on a good day. Years of practice afforded Ziva the ability to block out his incessant chatter and non-stop pop culture references, most of which she didn’t understand anyway. She could convince herself his over-the-top whines were wind chimes and his boisterous laughter the twittering of happy birds. The days passed smoothly if she achieved such delusion.  What she could not do so easily was dismiss Tony when he was hurt, even if the wound was to his ego rather than his flesh.

Separation Anxiety is Tivali in Paris, post 17x11, focusing on Ziva acclimating to family life. It's one of those pieces that I wrote a draft for, but I've never been able to continue it in a way that makes me happy. Maybe someday.

This was the pattern since she returned. To be with Tali. That’s how it started. To claw back time, the nearly four years they lost. Daylight hours were not enough. Ziva would climb in after Tony read exactly two picture books (or two chapters of a chapter book). Lullabies sung. A few whispers. Then sleep.  At the farmhouse, the reverse had been true. Tali knew only Ziva’s bed the first year, an arrangement of convenience for 3 a.m. nursings. The routine continued as Tali grew and Ziva grew accustomed to her little girl snuggled to her body, as if trying to return in-womb. Tali’s “big girl bed” in her “big girl room” was merely a prop after sunset.  Secretly, Ziva loved it. It was in that bedroom Tali was conceived; it was there that Tony gave her hope again, a reason to fight and live. How her daughter ever learned to walk was a wonder! The hours she was not holding her child close, on a hip or fully against her chest, were so few. Even in sleep, it was hard to let go.  Now, she clung to school-going Tali not in awe, but fear.

Shades of Love: A Shondrey Collection

Family is what you make it and with whom you make it.

I resisted this for a long time but eventually was enabled to join these color prompts by the wonderful @mikaharuka and @udaberriwrites .

The name Shondrey (Shawn, Jon, and Audrey) comes from @mrsmungus who gave this little family their name. She was also the one to coin Jondrey (Jon and Audrey's ship name). This is quite an honor for me as she writes another favorite family of mine Tiva (Tony DiNozzo/Ziva David) and Tivali (Tony, Ziva, Tali).

NCIS 21×05 “The Plan” is an episode about Jessica Knight, but it’s also an episode about Knight in Shining Palmer and the relationship they have now and the one they could have in the future. It’s also an episode about the things you think you want, the life you plan for, and the life you end up with.

Jessica’s side brings out a different side of Agent Knight, one that has to do with the expectations of others and one that feels very familiar to children of immigrants. And yet, this hour isn’t just about those expectations, it’s about Jessica’s decisions and how those decisions involve the relationship she’s now in.

So let us talk about that plan Jessica has taken a detour from, where this episode leaves Knight in Shinning Palmer and that little bit of angst as we discuss NCIS 21×05 “The Plan”:

THE BEST-LAID PLANS

In NCIS 21×05 “The Plan” we see Jessica’s life come into direct contradiction not just with what her father wants — and expects — from her, but what Jessica herself had planned for her life. And yet, the thing is, plans change. Life isn’t something you can control, not really. And it isn’t something you should try to control. Because Jessica Knight right now has managed something she couldn’t have expected, she’s happy. And isn’t that more important than the plan?

Her father might not think so at first. It’s so hard when you’ve lived a life that is so tied to your accomplishments, to see happiness as the ultimate goal. But by the end, he’s maybe starting to come around. He’s not there yet, but he’s trying. Because he sees that Jessica is happy. And Jimmy is part of that. But she’s happy because she’s making her own decisions. And he, as her father, should respect that.

Plans are all fine and good. We should make them. But we shouldn’t become slaves to them. Sometimes things go the way we plan them. Sometimes they don’t. Sometimes people come into our lives that we didn’t plan for. And if those people make us happy, well …happpines should be the end goal for life, shouldn’t it?

THE LOVE YOU NEED

There’s a lot of good sentiments in NCIS 21×05 “The Plan,” and there’s a little bit of angst — enough that it might be easier to hold onto that, to come out of this hour feeling a tad anxious about where Knight in Shining Palmer goes next. For me, however, this episode exemplifies what makes Jessica and Jimmy work as a couple, even if it also showcases how much we need a Season 22 and beyond for them to grow together.

At first glance, they might not be the most obvious couple, but sometimes that’s exactly what you need. Someone who pushes you out of your comfort zone. Someone who makes you see the world differently. And someone who is there for you when you just need a hand to hold, a shoulder to rest your head on.

They are friends first and found family before anything. That’s the strongest foundation there is for a love that can carry you through the hardest times and a love that can support you through anything. Procedurals are the land of great couples. There’s Mulder and Scully. There’s Bones and Booth. There’s Castle and Beckett. The NCIS franchise has given us Tiva and Densi. And now, well …not we have Palmer and Knight. Who would have thought?

RIGHT NOW

There’s a little bit of angst in NCIS 21×05 “The Plan,” and it comes from Jessica stumbling upon her words as she tries to explain to Jimmy what he means to her. “Right now” to her doesn’t mean she isn’t committed, it means she doesn’t see life the way Jimmy does, not yet.

“You may not be part of my dad’s plan, but you are part of mine,” she tells him later, as close to a declaration of commitment as Jessica Knight gets. But the “right now” lingers in Jimmy’s mind, one can tell. He’d fall on the sword for her if she asked. He’s ready to fall on the sword without her asking, as soon as she brings up her dad’s position, which she never intended on taking.

This is partly insecurity and partly a bad combo of who they are as people and how their personalities potentiate each other’s fears. Jimmy doesn’t know how to ask for more. Jessica doesn’t always know how to say what she feels. In the end, they both need to take a little step out of their comfort zone for the relationship to work. That’s what you do when you love someone.

Things I think I think:

Come on, McGee. All these years later and you think you can just walk into the office talking about something so sus and not dish? This is what family is all about!

Torres and Knight being so quick to look at his screen is what this team is all about, I’m telling you.

Half-sister. Yiikes.

Jessica’s dad is coming oh yay (not? I’m unclear here).

Okay, so Jessica’s dad doesn’t know about Jimmy. But why?

Look Dad, this is a really compromising situation, okay? Start explaining.

Family is also going from “Please leave” to “Love you,” okay? Okay.

The Jimmy scene with Jessica’s dad might have been the most awkward scene I’ve ever seen in my entire life. I wanted the ground to swallow me whole.

Kudos to Brian Dietzen, he acted the hell out of that.

MUCH MORE.

Dad saw right through you.

And still made him suffer.

I mean, I respect that, not gonna lie.

“You looked him up already?”/”Why else would I let you drive?”

We’re dealing with “I’ll take cyanide instead of speaking level perps”? Whaaaat?

Everyone not so subtly looking at Jess like “are you gonna go talk to him or?”

But don’t you love how Jimmy just sees right through her?

“Right now.”

OUCH.

“You may not be part of my dad’s plan, but you are a part of mine.”

Always so eloquent, Nick.

WHEN HE SAID I’M JUST TRYING NOT TO STAND IN YOUR WAY.

I’m gonna go stand in traffic, Jimmy.

look I hasn’t been in the fandom for a while but a fic make me go check it, woo there’s hawaii and la is canceling? damn, didn’t see either of that coming but the only thing that’s recurring in is mw’s cryptic vid messages and have the clickbaity articles covering them and that he will be back and that never happens or the possibility of tiva reunion and I think that screams clout-chasing behavior and makes me hate him even more…

This is very random but what fic drew you back into the fandom? I’m curious lol.

1. A friend of mine said they want another new NCIS spin-off and CBS seems to have decided that 3 at a time is the max so i guess that’s why? They’ve been very successful and one of the only shows to have both main leads stay the entire time so maybe they wanna just leave it as it is? Everyone seems to be at peace with the decision so c’est la vie I guess.

2. I’m honestly not surprised that NCIS: Hawai’i came to be. CBS seems to have a deal with Hawai’i because first it was Hawaii: five-0 and magnium pi but if my memory is correct Magnium PI was canceled and then NCIS: Hawaii came to be
