How do you interact with FF7 fandom and not lose all interest in that game? It feels like it gets worse as Rebirth gets closer and it’s ruining my interest in the game.

I'm going to try to alternate between kink and fluff prompts, but no guarantees lol. Just my last event I went in the order the asks were received and it was like five nsfw prompts in a row followed by five sfw prompts and so on. It was kind of funny and I think I'm probably the only one who noticed, but yeah. This time I have a specific number of prompts for each list for each week, so I'm gonna do my best to alternate!

The light from the gentle dawn beckoned you to wake up, your eyes squinting against the shades of yellow and orange that filled the room. The hues were like a flower in bloom, emphasizing that each day was a new beginning. You took a deep breath as you shed the sleep from your mind and let the morning joy wash over you. 

For a moment, you were at peace. 

But peace cannot be kept by force.

A shiver rolled down your spine when Ari’s lips brushed your shoulder, his body eclipsing yours and reminding you that you weren't alone as his beard tickled your skin. Waking up beside him was like moving from one dream to another since he made sure to occupy your mind. As your brain fog gave way to clarity, it was impossible to ignore the way he pressed himself against your ass. 

Hard, throbbing, and ready for you. 

“Morning,” he said in a relaxed tone, his hand on your waist dipping low.

If a touch could burn, he would've scorched you from head to toe and allowed you to heal before he did it all over again. 

“Morning,” you whispered, placing your hand over his to stop him before he reached between your legs. “I just woke up.”

His chest was no longer against your back as he pulled his hand away and you didn't want to admit that you missed the warmth of him. As if he sensed your thoughts, which he likely did, he brought his hand to your backside instead. “Ari,” you whispered, your eyes snapping open when a thick finger slid possessively between your cheeks.

He chuckled in your mind, a low and throaty noise as you shut your eyes. “You know, there are many benefits to starting off the day with sex,” he spoke, waves crashing in your mind like a stormy sea as his voice intimately brushed the deepest parts of you. “It can boost your immune system. Combat stress before you start your day.”

No.

“It can bring us closer together, which is what we both need,” he continued as if you didn't speak his name. As if you didn't have a say in the matter. “And, truthfully, I've been dying to feel this hole around my cock.”

You didn't dare look over your shoulder, your heart hammering in your chest as you tried to think of something else. Anything else. “I haven't…” you trailed off with a defeated sigh because you didn't have to finish your statement. 

He already knew that no one else had ever been in your ass. It surprised you that he took that long to act on it. At least he wouldn't hurt you when he took you. 

He was a kind soulmate in that regard. 

“I know, sweetheart,” he whispered as he pressed another kiss to your shoulder. It did nothing to relieve the tension in your muscles. “I’m gonna be your first and last.”

And with that, your peace became Ari’s victory.

How long have you been drawing?

I've always drawn, but I started getting really serious at 14, around the same time I first made my main blog. I was self taught up until I got into animation school.

Javier hated the bird that sat outside his window. Every single day like clockwork, it would start to sing just as the sun began to peek over the horizon.

He struggles with sleep enough, always falling asleep late after being paralyzed by the dark recollections of his mind. He could deal with once or twice a week, a few days in a row even, but every day since he’s come back from Colombia this bird has driven him crazy with soft, sweet notes that anyone else would enjoy.

That you enjoy.

Yes— he hated the bird until he met you, until he saw how you saw the beauty in it and its song.

His heart changed one of the first times you decided to stay over. As always, the bird began to sing, perched on the branch that comes nearest to Javi’s window. You blinked awake, glancing over at Javi who hadn’t come to just yet. Slinking out of his bed, you’d made your way to the window, watched the bird sing with curious eyes.

It was a combination of that noisy bird and the loss of your warmth that finally woke him.

“What are you doing up?” He asked sleepily, running a hand through his bedhead.

“This little guy says it’s time to started the day.”

“You listen to birds do you?”

“To nature,” You quip, rolling your eyes playfully. “C’mere. Watch the way the sun paints the sky, you’ll see.”

He did see that day when he joined you at the window— each melody the bird sang somehow explained each color that stained the sky.

Since then, it’s sort of become your tradition. Each time you stay over your eyes open before the bird can begin to sing— it’s just enough time to perch on Javi’s window sill for the perfect view of the sunrise.

“You know that bird probably hates me,” He murmurs into your ear one morning. He presses a soft kiss to your skin, unable to help himself.

“The feeling is mutual, is it not?” You ask teasingly, noting how he’s always slower to get out of bed, a little quieter than you during these moments.

Javi sighs. “It used to be. I threw rocks at him once.”

“Javi,” You say in scolding, brows raised at him.

“Excuse me for wanting to sleep past 5 a.m.”

You laugh softly, turning back to look at the sky that’s filled with orange and yellow. “What changed?”

“You.”

You’re at a loss for words, your head turning so that you can catch his gaze. And as you try to formulate a response, you realize that there’s nothing you could say to explain the way his words have made you feel. Your head feels a little dizzy in the best way, your heart warm. Instead of trying to speak you lean forward, kissing him gently. By the way he kisses you back, you know that Javi understands.

He always understands.

febuwhump 2023 survey results

to finish off with this year’s round of febuwhump, let’s talk about the stats! there will be a bit of discrepancy between the numbers of people who took part and those who filled in the survey, but to start us off:

the prompts post had a little under 4000 notes, the survey had 93 responders and the ao3 collection 1340 works. there were 51 people in the hall of fame, and the blog hit 1946 total followers.

86% of survey takers took part in febuwhump via fanfic. super interesting to me is that singular entry of “memes”. i know exactly who you are.

as for the fandoms and subject matters of the subject. there were 135 specified topics (some went into groups such as band RPF (3), minecraft misc (3), various NCISs (2)), with original fiction being the most frequent (12) and marvel misc second (11). the ao3 collection itself spans 340 fandoms. yes, i did write them all out so i could do the tallies. it took up 3 pages of my journal.

only 31.2% had taken part in a previous febuwhump, meaning that this was the first time around for the majority of people.

but-

over half completed the month!

if you didn’t complete the month:

the majority of creators answered for only 1 prompt (16.7%), then 3 prompts (14.3%) and 14 and 17 prompts equally (9.5%)

majority of prompts were shared on ao3 and tumblr

regarding the discord server:

unsurprisingly, a majority of people were not on the server (it had a ~100 member cap limit), but a further 61.1% of people who didn’t join had no idea there even was a server. i also got a lot of great feedback about ways the server can be improved for next year

most importantly:

there were a lot of suggestions for next year’s colour themes, chief among them blue, purple or red (apparently no one remembers febuwhump 2 being blue)

some ungodly soul recommended neon green and another simply the word “lurid”
