grew up on crockett his whole life. he was born there and knew he was going to die there and he was content with that

his dad was stationed overseas after serving in WWII for most of his life. he wrote often about everything he saw in the world and pruitt wished he could see it

his mom was a bit of a nervous wreck, especially with her husband never being home & ESPECIALLY after pruitt’s sister passed from polio. she viewed God as a way that she could keep in contact with her family

pruitt looks almost identical to him mom :) same dark hair and dark eyes.

mildred moved to crockett when she was 11-ish and the two of them quickly became best friends. everyone was aware of how close they were

it was an ongoing joke in seminary that pruitt was the most likely to break his vows for love. always a romantic, always someone who wanted love and a family but knew that he couldn’t have everything

he wanted to travel, especially while attending seminary, but knew it’d wreck his mother :( he didn’t want her to worry too much

memory issues & dementia run in the family. he witnessed his mother pass from it. he constantly needs to remind himself of things; stress can cause gaps in his memory and to him it’s scarier than Hell ever could be

bisexual (in theory) but was never given the opportunity to explore it.

a bitch has a cane now (its me im the bitch), hopefully it helps. tested it out a little and even on the shortest setting it seems a liiiiitle tall (not dangerously so, just slightly uncomfortable) so depending on how well my shoes fix that i might have to figure out if i can modify it. ANYWAYS does anyone have any tips for like. how to not be embarrassed and self conscious about using a cane as a healthy-seeming 20-something? especially around friends and family who might not understand/might be embarrassed or pitying, but i cant just brush off like i could a stranger? i know some cane users are just like. super confident and dgaf if they come off as "rude" to invasive questions and weird looks but i just. have too nervous a personality to be that confident ajfksjfsj

okay, after speaking back and forth with @whoreadsnowadays, i finally can explain the story of 2012!Grayson Gomez <3 Me and Romeo spoke about the 2012 Cameron and Gray, Rise! Cameron and Gray, and BAD FUTURE! Cameron and Gray. In this infodumping post I will be focused on 2012 Gray. I'll later infodump on how Gray dies in the bad future 💀

Under the cut is like a LOT, so be ready for that.

TW: Family arguments, Blood, Glass (shards), alcohol, small mention of homophobia, mentions of divorce, and mori being a sucker for angst.

For gray's story, it begins in a manor located in the woods of the Philippines. Isolated from the public, Gray was raised in a prodigiously. Being the unlucky child to be born within a blood which valued fame and money, he was taught at an early age that his appearance was the most important thing in this simple human life. That it was the only thing his father would pay attention to. Gray was the middle child and was neglected a lot due to it. He too young to be hang out with his older siblings, but he was too old to socialize with his younger family members.

He was left alone for most of his years growing up, not being able to develope the skills to learn what was "normal" and what was not. Gray grew to be observant of people, noticing how his father praised his older siblings for behaving. How his older brother was given smiles and love for wishing to stay in their home country. Seemingly all of his siblings were said to stay home to grow their fame. He tried acting collected; calm. Speaking when spoken to, the "perfect" son for his father's attention.

Yet he was ignored when acting like them. What was he doing wrong? He was acting in line, was it something he was doing? Maybe it just wasn't his calling. Perhaps his father was expecting something different from him. He noticed how his father paid attention, scolding his younger siblings for acting out of line. Gray was desperate to be noticed, for any attention.

So, he acted similarly to his younger siblings. Childish, Destructive, reckless. Gray was too young to know the difference between bad and good attention. He was finally being noticed and that's what mattered. Even when he was being heavily scolded, he found delight in being addressed.

When school started for him, he didn't have any aspects which could let people compare him to his siblings. He was mistaken for his younger and older siblings multiple times. It gotten to the point where he couldn't handle hearing their names anymore. He was Gray, not his sisters and brothers... It drove him into a state in which he had no clue who he was. This continued until he became 13.

One day, he was pushed into a storage room by a group of bullies. Left alone for an estimate of 2 hours. He was alone. Terrified as he was, he found a camera and immediately found comfort with it.

When he was let out, Gray began to learn how to use the device. This seemed to be the only thing that Gray knew how to do. He taught himself how to socialize, how to act, and decide for himself through photos. He built his identity just through photos of people and celebrities, he finally had a voice. He made sure to make himself stand out of his family with his confidence and loud persona. He finally seemed to finally do everything his father asked of him. He made the decision to continue his life in the photography industry.

Gray explained to his father how skilled he became, how he should consider all of the photos he's taken. However he was immediately pushed aside. His father with a bottle of alcohol in his hand, muttered for him to go away. How he could do so much better than a camera. This irritated Gray. He wasn't going to be ignored, he was going to be heard.

Yelling filled the halls as Gray yelled at his father, how his siblings were favored than him. How he never paid attention to him. The argument slowly became personal. As his father yelled at how much of a disappointment Gray was for his sexuality, how he was acting like a child. The final argument Gray had was how he was the reason their mother left, how his father was biased and was self-centered. His life being filled with alcohol to distract himself from the truth.

As Gray mentioned his lost mother, his father hit him in the face with a bottle of glass. Glass shattering everywhere with blood being in places it should not. But mainly on his face. His face was shattered; ruined. Gray was forced to stay in the hospital for several days. Before he was then kicked out of the manor to New York. Away from his "family."

He spent the next 2 years in New York hiding his whole identity from his friends. Unable to accept the past and the scarring on his face.

Me and Romeo spoke about Gray having Cameron and Casey come along to meet his family after some time. In the trip, Cam and Casey would learn how Gray has lied and hid the truth of his family's existence. On the final day of trip, as Gray is about to show his family how popular he's become to impress them all, he has this moment of silence. Where he finds photos of himself, Cameron n Casey, and the turtles. Confronting with his past to accept, he doesn't need to impress these people. His family was Cam, Casey, and the brothers. They knew him better than anybody else. Finally having peace with himself, he finds some safe ground in who he is. Yes, he's the calm collected friend who makes sure Cam and Casey don't get arrested. But he was also the childish loud friend who loved his found family and causing mischief. He's happy with who he is as a person to this point.
