The "on this day" 8 years ago. 8 years since I met my idol and fitness inspiration @monicabrant at her @monicafemcamp in Pensacola. I also met some other ladies that I've come to admire as well as meeting Kim Oddo and @lyndathor. I learned so much that weekend. 2008 was the year I started getting into the fitness industry. It was when I started learning about the ins and outs, the good, bad and ugly of the fitness industry. It was the year of my first show. It was the start of my journey to where I am now. My 9 most popular post of 2017, reflecting back of have to say that I had a pretty good year. Even though I have spent most of the year in a mental funk it seems I definitely learned a lot. And definitely did alot more than I thought. Had some firsts, went to @monicabrant Retreat in San Antonio and that was an amazing experience. Then I went to my first @1stphorm #SummerSmash, learned a lot and met some amazing people in both places. I did a photo shoot and I celebrated some victories with my clients. This was also my first year as a promoter, putting up @fireandiceclassic for the first time. That was an amazing experience, some mistakes were made but overall it went pretty well and I couldn't have done it without some great people to help me out. Watch for next year, it'll be even bigger. My kids started new schools and are doing amazingly and my roof and siding on my house got renovated so even though I still have a long list of things I plan on accomplishing I'm content with what I've done. 2018 already has a long list of things I plan on doing and improving. #GlacierBodies #ImFitPC #Bye2017 #Hello2018 (at Bay County, Florida)

In a world where everyone is trying to be like someone else, just be you. This goes for everything in life but for now I'll talk about how everyone is always trying to look like someone they admire. Some celebrity or fitness personality. I want to look like Jennifer Aniston, I want to be like Jessica Biel, or @danalinnbailey or @nicolemwilkins, @monicabrant @erinstern5 or @jessiegraffpwr (last 5 all women I have at one point or another wished I looked or could be like) and I could name at least couple more. And while I still admire these women and look up to for motivation and some, education, I have come to realize that I will never be like them. Not because I won't be successful or able to do what I set my mind to. But because I'm not them, I have my own body, I have my own genetic make up, I have my own history which makes me who I am and how I look like. I can only make myself better, smarter, stronger, leaner or whatever the current goal is. I can't make myself look or be like someone else nor would I want to. I no longer strive to have "her" legs abs or ass, I strive to make my legs, abs, ass look the best they have ever before, I strive to learn more everyday. I strive to do better as ME every day. Stop trying to look like someone else or be like someone else, work on being the best YOU there is. I promise you have plenty to work on but you'll also be happier cause you can see you improving and you'll want to continue to do better, be better, motivated by your results. Half way through this week post #BodySoulRetreat and carrying with me the energy from it. The whole experience was just amazing and meeting ladies from different walks of life always opens your eyes to life outside of your own and helps you put your own life into perspective.
