Halloween Event 2023 — The Kamome Monster Nursery Monstagram Account

Hello all! In this post, we've compiled the event hosted on AidaIro's Twitter account in 2023 to celebrate Halloween: a return to the Kamome Monster Nursery!

This time, we take a look at the nursery's new social media account...

🎃Announcement🎃 To all nearby residents: First, allow us to express our gratitude to everyone for always being such good neighbors to our monsters and researchers. Tonight, we have taken it upon ourselves to review a common concern we receive: that our facility seems dangerous and gives people the creeps.

In light of this, we have decided to set up a social media account to allow all of you to see our monsters and researchers in action. By viewing the feats and day-to-day lives of our nursery, we hope it may help you better understand our noble mission. 🎃🎃🎃

What spine-chilling lives could these monsters possibly be leading? With shaky hands, I decided to take a peek at this "Kamome Monster Nursery" account on "Monstagram"...

Looks like they didn't post any updates on Monstagram today. The monsters and researchers must be too busy to post anything.

Judging by the posts I saw, those monsters were probably doing all that work in preparation for today. I wonder if the three of them are enjoying Halloween with the researchers right now...? If they come to town, I'll hand out treats to them... ...

(Monster High AU Profile) Squish

Howlison L. “Squish” Squishowski

Parents: Child of a werewolf (mom) and a human (dad)

Killer Style: Usually, animal print and a couple pairs of torn jeans do it for me, but my ballcap is usually the f-f-f-finishing touch! I might add some bling, too, but no silver. I think we both know why. (He’s also been known to wear a friendship bracelet I made for him! -Peggy)

Freaky Flaw: Being half human has its downsides, mostly in a school that was LITERALLY BUILT TO KEEP MONSTERS SAFE FROM HUMANS! Oh, and I get detention so often that I set a new school record daily.

Favorite Food: Twinkies! Also, being half human means chocolate can’t make me sick, so that’s an absolute plus for a total chocoholic!

Favorite color: Mossy green, like my hair… fur… hairfur?

Biggest Pet Peeve: The fur does come in handy, don’t get me wrong, but it grows back so fast that I have to get it clipped every so often… spotlights tend to make me go nuts, too. (If by nuts, you mean “Uncontrollably energetic,” then that’s true. -Pod)

Favorite Activity: Depends, I’m into GermBook and Monstagram, but I definitely try and re-enact some of the best stunts I see. It’d be easier if I didn’t get distracted whenever someone threw a stick.

Pet: Omega is the closest thing that I can get, but a digital pet is better than nothing. Hopefully, I can work my way up to a hedgehog!

Friends: Pod Lugosi (BFF), Peggy Stein (GFF), Opal Bekko, Vinosuke Kyubi

Favorite Subject: Probably Music Theory and Music in general. When I hear the groove, I just gotta move!

Least Favorite Subject: Phys Dead… a heightened sense of smell has drawbacks.

Powers: • Enhanced Smelling: He has a strong sense of smell just like most canines, and he can easily detect scents from far away and recognize exactly who it’s from. • Enhanced Hearing: Like other werewolves, Squish happens to have a superb sense of hearing. • Lunar Empowerment: He can easily get his full monster powers from the full moon, however, his human form is usually hidden based on his emotions. • Enhanced Strength: While normally pretty soft, especially around the face (that’s how he got the nickname Squish in the AU), his strength seems to be exceptionally enhanced by the full moon. • Enhanced Speed: Should he be focused on a certain goal, his speed will greatly increase, whether it’s running, skateboarding, or even just dancing in some form • Rapid Hair Growth: Like all werewolves, Squish has the ability to grow his hair super rapidly as long as it grows back quickly, which it always does. This does get uncomfortable during the warmer weather, however, so he does have to get it clipped every so often. • Polymorphism: While unable to become full wolf, he does have a human form that can come out of hiding should his emotions take a turn for the worse. • Athleticism: It may not be obvious, but he has some enhanced speed and strength, increased by lunar empowerment, and when enhanced by the full moon, can run super fast.

Fun Facts: • His first name being Howlison was adapted from Allison, which is my headcanon name for him, seeing as I HC him as non-binary with he/him or they/them pronouns • His mom being a werewolf references that in the book series, his mom is there but not seen, and the TV show doesn’t mention her, so I figured that she would be a monster that had a child with a human so that Squish is more like Clawdeen. • His birthday is May 10th, as a reference to when his first book came out, making him a Taurus

Sansgust 2022 chapter 17: Gift, Kustard (Sans/UF!Sans), SFW

Ever since opening his Monstagram account to share pictures of the night sky, Sans has seen his fair share of scams. As a frequent undernet user, it's hard to be unaware of the fact that they're basically everywhere, hidden in every little nook and crany all over the web. Trolls, mlm offers, Nigerian princes stranded in far away countries with a suitcase full of diamonds, he's seen it all.

Last chapter I wrote for Sansgust 2022, already! What a blast, I hope the event takes place again next year! And even though I loved being a mod, I hope I’ll get to participate this time! Though maybe the pressure will be too hard and I won’t be able to write anything oops! XDD

Feelings when they first met - SHS (Spooky High Strippers)

~ don’t take that name so seriously— it’s their band name! to be fair, it came from a random generator and we just agreed on it.

so, how did the couples (not yet at first) feel when they first met?

Cherry Couple

oh boy. they did not get along at all at first.

mostly because lili was taller than damien. by a lot.

see, when someone is better at something than damien, even the tiniest achievement.. he doesn’t take so kindly.

“oh great. what did miss skyscraper over here do to get into this school? you ain’t half bad, for a overgrown noob.”

lili, having been the sole reason the entirety of SHS was expelled from their last school, was obviously not so keen on his attitude.

“alright, cherry boy, don’t get too rowdy now. i’ll have you know i’m a succubus, not a demon. did mommy or daddy not give you enough attention this morning?”

and oh dear god, did damien burst into absolute fury.

poor oz, nyx and polly stood and watched the maroon headed demon and the strawberry blonde succubus bicker, until a nearby teacher broke them up— which resulted in damien beating the piss out of them.. which also landed him in a detention (which he also bailed. what are they gonna do, give him another detention? spoiler alert, they did.)

needless to say, the two were not at all friendly for a while.

Calculated Matter

nyx loves everything to do with space, plants, dark matter (maybe because she too was made of it), etc.

so when they found calculester, a robot who had a love for organic life— especially succulents, she felt a sense of what you could consider tranquility.

“hello friend! i believe i haven’t learnt your name yet.. but by the way i had entered the room and you appeared to be taking such gentle care of this succulent, i had to come talk to you!”

this has obviously warmed nyx’s heart. what a sweet robot.

“oh well— yes.. this is my plant oyaka, i’ve had it for a while now.. yet i’ve been neglecting her lately, i haven’t had enough time to take care of it.

“perhaps i can be of help, friend?”

nyx had quite literally melted, almost into a puddle. they had only melted so much she had began to droop.

“ERROR: friend is dripping mysterious substance! do you need medical attention?!”

oh no, she was perfectly okay calculester— you were just too kind.

Apricott

as a small centaur, aput would love to run + race on the tracks, it was tradition for him.

so, when he found out spooky high had an entire field including a track, he was delighted.

aput met scott when he was running track once, it was an accident to be fair— it was a simple bump, yet scott was flat out on the floor, and aput had stressed until the werewolf woke up.

“thank god! i thought i killed you there!”

scott had laughed: “of course not! everything went black for a second so i’m fine!”

aput didn’t really see the logic or connection.

in fact, there wasn’t even one.

it all ended well at least, because aput and scott had raced a few times on the track until it was almost the last class of the day.

the score was 5 - 2, of aput to scott (aput let him win twice, he felt bad for winning so much).

Vampire Bites

well, liam and sanrio got on fine, but thaf wasn’t the most approving.

they had met in the library, sanrio was reading with thaf by his hand..

…and liam was posting on monstagram about how “mainstream” spooky high was.

at first, liam had initiated conversation because of a book sanrio was reading.. well, it wasn’t the most pg.. and it was about dragons.. so liam had to comment.

“well, i haven’t read it myself, but based on the reviews and the fact that it’s basically sold everywhere.. it’s good enough in my books. seeing you read it so easily makes it seem more.. appealing, i suppose.”

until a certain puppet’s voice chimed in.

“ohhh, so the vamp’s a perv, i get it!”

ultimately, liam became disgusted with thaf’s attitude.

sanrio apologised on his behalf.

“your puppet is… vulgar. i don’t know how that thing speaks for you.. i say get a new one.”

“don’t you dare replace me sanrio!”

sanrio shoved him into their bag and carried on with their day with liam.

Human Disguise

Like every Creep, Richard is able to take on a more humanoid form as a disguise. Though he usually doesn't really use this power unless it's to blend in with humans.

Photography

Richard has experience with photos from the many, many selfies he takes. So he knows what goes into a "perfect" photo (composition, filter, etc)

Personality

Richard can be summed up as this: Obnoxious, vain, obsessed with his phone, but not mean. Richard is pretty much addicted to his phone, using it whenever he can, even in class. He is also cares a lot about himself, usually paying no attention to those around him or the situation at hand. He will also do things that make him look foolish or stupid if it means he'll get attention.

Other than that however, he is pretty laid back and mellow, he isn't one to hold grudges against people or seek revenge, and he rarely gets angry. And despite his narcissistic tendencies, he does have a heart, and is willing to help others should the situation call for it.

Trivia/Additional Information

Richard's first name comes from the protagonist of the book "Calling All Creeps", who's name is Ricky. His last name comes from the Blackview phone brand.

Richard's birthday is February 15th, which comes from the day the Goosebumps TV series episode "Calling All Creeps" was aired on Fox Kids. This makes him an Aquarius.

His headcanon voice is Danny Kaufman, specifically his voice as Danny's human half's surfer dude voice from the Danny Phantom episode "Identity Crisis".
