Iran - Again!

According to the Kurdish rights group "Hengaw" a teenage girl in Iran is in a coma after being assaulted by the morality police in Tehran's subway. It says Armita Garawand was attacked for violating the Islamic republic's hijab rules. Iranian authorities deny the claims.

Another Girl Becomes Alleged Victim Of Iran's Morality Police's Brutality Iran's 16-year-old Armita Geravand was allegedly assaulted by the morality police at a Tehran metro station on Sunday. Reports suggest that the girl was stopped and pushed by the morality police for not wearing a headscarf. She was admitted to a hospital after falling unconscious and continues to be in a coma. Geravand's alleged assault is renewing criticism of the regime more than one year after the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, which sparked nationwide protests.
