So I discovered Slay the Princess recently and it had a death grip on my soul for a bit. Also realised that it would be great inspiration for a verrrry toxic love song so, here's a WIP! I'll be working on it and making a nice produced version for youtube, but thought I'd post what I have so far and see what people think!

Also yes the title is a reference to the achievement, and I added as many references to the game as I could manage.

"It was stupid of me to lose my shit like that, especially now that I know that Chase is in the car, home from spring break" (Carl's voice is a placeholder for now) critics very much appreciated and encouraged! mild spoilers for Echo VN below as well as my thoughts

To be honest, I'm not too confident I properly brought out the 'vibes' of the short story Trip with this one, even if it is only just the beginning of the song.

I might have made this piece eerie, but the story is more of Carl getting deeply fucked mentally with the drug he took, and his senses being completely disoriented. Not to mention his encounter with tulpa chunter (chulpa?) and socket face, as well as the dread, panic, and fear he feels throughout the experience.

I wanted to make the instrumental more 'psychedelic' than what I usually make to reflect that.

To do that, I tried to use a tremolo effect to make the music go from one ear to the other in a set rhythm to get that disoriented feel, but I'm not sure if that's enough... Well, that's all I have to say for now, hope this was at the very least enjoyable to listen to!

Music WIP Whenever

Saw @euryalex do this and thought it would be fun! I'm still in the planning stages for my fics but music has always been a key component to my wips! Now under the cut because I have quite a few WIP I'm focusing on (don't ask me how)!

The rules: Post a song that is relevant to your WIP or inspires it. I'm currently working on a couple wips so I'll post for those.

Endless Summer: Lost Ones in Time

So this song is more inspiration for writing this story. The story itself is about adding one more book to the series after Rourke interrupted Faye trying to sacrifice herself to save the world (not quite the bad ending but close) and the imagery of this song really inspires me with this story.

Fix It Ending (Endless Summer)

While I love a good bittersweet ending where the MC sacrifices themselves to save their friends and loved ones, I still want them to have a happy ending! This song specifically makes me think of what Faye and Jake's life would be like if she returned and so inspires me to write a scene where Faye does return to him.

Paige's Canon Story (Haven)

I always imagine this as the song that plays for Paige and Dukes wedding so I'm always thinking of their story with this song. It makes me think of their happy ending and how great and tragic their story will be to reach that point.

Small Town AU (Endless Summer)

I don't know why, but this song really brings me into this story how even though its going to grow into a similar scifi esque story like the original story, its still a love story to me and I always love the small moments even as the world goes crazy

I’ve been working on an arrangement of The Champion Revali for a while - I don’t have much experience writing for orchestra, so it’s been trial and error. But today I worked hard on the intro and I just HAVE to share it!

I’m still adding, subtracting and overall changing stuff, and the project is far from finished… but, like… wheeee! Percussion!!
