Rediscovered and decided to quickly clean up an old sketch of my first Hero of Kvatch, Mu'jirra! She is 6'1 and the toughest boxer in the Imperial Arena. Sporting an inferiority complex and a rigid sense of honor, finding the Emperor's heir leads to problems larger than she had ever imaged, and this time she can't punch her way out.

all i want is to relive the first time i played skyrim—when i knew nothing, the world was infinite, possibilities were endless, and the graphics and mechanics were so new and impressive.
now i want nothing more than to perfect skyrim, to make it what i thought it was when my older brother handed me his controller for the first time.
longing for something i cannot have because i cannot do it myself

Taliesin:"Why are you so happy?"
Kaidan:"She found another stray."
Lucien:"Ooh! Did we get a dog!?!" :D
Inigo:"I don't like dogs..."
LDB:*Introduces Gore to the group*
Taliesin:"How many followers do you need?!?"
LDB:*shamelessly adding Caryalind to the group*"Yes."
Bonus:
Auri:"Hello, I'm Auri, it's nice to meet you." ^_^

So I get it's prolly the first tile you'd get and you don't get the Champion of Cyrodiil title until the very end of the main quest, but I think it's hilarious that everyone collectively decided to name the hero of Oblivion the "Hero of Kvatch" given you can easily not...get that title by just leaving with Martin the moment you reach the chapel.
Cause like I definitely think the title is earned because you go out of your way to evict all the Daedra from the count's castle and all of Kvatch to get it but your main goal is to get Martin to safety and clearly him being the bastard son of the Emperor is known to the Mythic Dawn at that point. So you'd think getting him to the Blades would be your main priority instead of putzing around a dead city longer than you need to lol

Continuing my forever-battles against eso's mmorpg lack of rpg, i just did the betnikh main quest as an orc. To the surprise of no one, no one on this goddamn orc island knows you're an orc.
Your orc is constantly getting orcsplained at by other orcs about how orcs behave, ranted at by humans complaining about orcs (not you, because the game doesn't see you as an orc), and when it comes time for your orc to prevent a future of continued human-perpetuated anti-orc crimes, your human pirate captain and her human girlsquad throw out their single remaining braincell to declare that you, an orc, have betrayed them and their human allies. They are surprised your orc said no to orc death-slavery.
Expecting any rpg in this mmorpg is folly, but somehow eso continues to disappoint.

Idk who I’m making this post for, feel like i just wanna get my thoughts down. If anyone wants to comment they’re welcome to
Just played Oblivion for the first time ever, put almost 5 straight hours in….
Would it be weird to say it managed to make me feel homesick for Skyrim?
Idk man it’s not bad and maybe once I get a better grip on the mechanics it’ll be better but not only am I immensely lost with how the personality/speech skills work as well as generally confused by almost everything, but Oblivion’s map layout just feels so….lonely. Barren and lonely. It made me sad lmfao I saw Skyrim on the map and was like omg home :,(
I don’t hate it though! I just think I have to get used to it, though I can’t stand having to figure out the 4 or 5 inventory/journal tabs, I’m so so so confused by them
I do appreciate the automatic dual wield with weapons and magic, wish they kept they in Skyrim. Felt the same way about that particular mechanic when I saw original Bioshock used it after already playing Bio Infinite first
I am however having a BLAST with the battle music cut-out and the way characters absolutely either rag doll or launch when you kill them and the infamous zoom-in on faces <3
I think, everything else aside, my main frustration is how lackluster quests are compared to skyrim. It just doesn’t have the same urgency, and the way they’re organized in the tab feels like they’re hidden away sort of? Idk something about Oblivion just isn’t encouraging me to go and explore or talk to people or do quests the way Skyrim does
I am aware that these are practically two completely different games despite sharing developers and lore/storylines but when it’s a game from a specific series usually you expect that they’ll have at least a similar vibe. Oblivion struck me the same way Morrowind did, which is that it’s lacking in the same excitement I feel playing Skyrim
But again, I understand why! There were YEARS between these games and a lot has changed and they’ve gotten better at art style, mechanics, etc which therefore will produce different games. I really really really wanna enjoy Oblivion (I’d also like to enjoy Morrowind but god that felt almost tedious) so if anyone sees this and has advice for how best to enjoy Oblivion (minus mods! Wanna finish it normally first) I would greatly appreciate it

This is Mag.
Although born into a stronghold, her father isn't the chief. Her mother, one of the chief's many wives, had an affair with a man of vampire royalty. As such, her vampiric half blocks her from inheriting the gifts Malacath blessed her stronghold with (superhuman warrior skills). However, her vampiric royal blood allows her to harness the advanced magical abilities she inherited from her father.
When Mag was born, and her nature laid bare for all to see even as a newborn baby, she and her mother were exiled from the stronghold. Mag's mother raised her as a nomad, too scared to seek shelter from her vampire lover.
Mag wants nothing more than to make her mother proud. She's aware of her half blood status and is ambivalent about it. While she wishes to be a powerful and skilled warrior so she can protect her mother with honor, she finds comfort in the magic that comes so easily to her. She practices and trains herself in its use the best way she can on her own.
Her mother loves her completely and is not repulsed by her vampiric nature, even when Mag needs to feed (she prefers to feed on the animals she hunts but it's like forcing a cat to be vegan; she doesn't get everything she needs from animal blood). Her mother helps her find suitable people to feed from (altmer blood is the most powerful and nutritious blood for her)(spoiler, it's because her father is an altmer).
What Mag's mother is unaware of is that the vampire she had an affair with had genuine feelings for her and has no idea why she fled. He searches for her but is unable to find her.
Eventually, when Mag is a young adult (early 20s) she journeys to find her abandoned father. Her mother had nothing but kind things to say about him and how he treated her when she was growing up and she finally convinced her to tell her where she met him.
It's a very heart wrenching journey and meeting and maybe I'll spare some time to write it in the coming months 🤍
bonus child and teen Mag, a volatile gremlin:

I'm sure someone has posted something along the lines of this before, but if you stand inside of someone's body or try to distract them while they're opening a chest, or you see someone near an unlocked chest with their merchant out and you take their stuff, you are trash.
Don't be that guy. 👈👈😎
