The batshit thing about the R/K shippers hating on Jamie is that Keeley and Roy both love Jamie. The haters have completely ignored every character beat and growth and instead focused on "het couple is always end game" and got pissed when that didn't happen because it turns out their characters are more nuanced than that.

they mischaracterize all three of them to an insane degree because they for some reason feel the constant need to prove that R/K are the healthiest most well adjusted couple in the history of television and Jamie possesses absolutely zero threat to their relationship whatsoever because they both are merely 'putting up with him' at best or secretly hate him at worst (all of which are laughable claims to anyone who has watched the show with their eyes open, and possesses even the most meager analysis skills in their brains).

I also think the way they talk about R/K is often so reductive if not genuinely gross (in addition to just being like, generally of a heteronormative flavor)...and that's the ship they're meant to LIKE. like there were people yesterday screaming about how "Roy would NEVER share Keeley!!!1!!!" and it's like...well Keeley isn't a toy they're passing around or hogging, so jot that down. She's a person with her own agency, who isn't with... get this... EITHER ONE OF THEM at the end of the series!!! Yeah, that includes ROY!!! So Roy at the moment really has zero say in whether she wants to fuck Jamie again or not, lmao. she's every bit as capable of getting back together with him as she is Roy post canon. and if they were together, opening their relationship to someone else would be...a mutual decision...because Keeley is a whole character of her own and not just a prop for your male fav...

And then there's the whole "well we ship something that's actually CANON and therefore BETTER, whereas R/J & RJK shippers are just weaving mystical delusions because they're ~desperate for representation~ or whatever. Which is apparently why the Apple TV account and even the actors should never, ever so much as allude to RJK again, because it diminishes their "real and correct" couple. Again, NEITHER PAIRING IS EVEN ENDGAME CANON.

And finally, all the little ways they constantly try to mask the fact that they just hate Jamie because he's in the way of their ship with "real analysis" that boils down to such riveting takes as: "Jamie = Irredeemable and Bad because he hurt Keeley three seasons ago" "Roy = baby boy who has never hurt Keeley ever in his life and is perfect for her in every which way. oh? here's a canonical scene where Roy is canonically hurting Keeley? WELL, that's just bad writing. OOC, that is. the writers just suck. my favorites cannot be flawed"

anyway...I love roykeeley in the very specific way they exist in my head but i really need the r/k diehards to like... step back and accept the fact that they canonically BROKE UP and are not inherently perfect and better than any other ship between flawed characters. go read fanfiction and imagine the ending of your choosing to your heart's content, like the rest of us, and stop targeting social media managers jumping on the latest silly internet meme. sorry for the rant it's just....so fucking irritating

*RUBS MY CLAWS TOGETHER* IT IS SEASON 3 TIME BITCHES AND H O L Y S H I T I LOVE THIS SEASON SO MUCH

i even rewatched it for this!

this time i’ll try to have SOME order, and go by episode. this will however still include unintelligible screaming

1. DAMN THESE FUCKERS BE PINING MORE THAN A PINE TREE FOREST!

first off, affectionate eye rolling, nose boop, and head bonk is the best thing.

second, IF SOMEONE SAYS THAT DURING WHEN CALLUM WAS HELPING RAYLA PUT ON HIS SCARF AND THEY J STARED AT EACHOTHER FOR A BIT BEFORE RAYLA TURNED AWAY THAT HE WAS N O T LOST IN HER EYES? they’re wrong. this is fact now.

third, their teamwork and decision making is excellent. they agree to try and sneak past sol regem, and when that fails try talking to him and then decide to simply trick his senses with the scarf. and instead of rayla shooting down callum’s “smelltriloquism” idea, she simply adds onto it! LOVE HEALTHY FRIENDSHIPS

2. STILL PINING. GOD DAMN.

first, CALLUM BEING SO EXCITED BY ALL THE MAGIC IN XADIA IS S O CUTE! MY SON. this might turn into an overrall review of s3. o well

second. FLUSTERED RAYLA AND FLUSTERED CALLUM. Y E S

third, THE ADORABURR FIELD! their smiles were so fond and soft and A. they make me cry of joy.

an overall look on it, i like how this episode really shows their feelings clearly. no “will they won’t they”, at least for rayla. it’s clear she has feelings.

3. AH FUCK. ANGST.

first i love how when rayla mentions that she’s excited and happy but also terrified, callum tries to comfort her. good boi. best boi.

second, elf callum. i love that scene so much even if the second-hand embarrassment kills me, and rayla is j like “why the fuck do i love you. im gonna kill him.”

third, DANCE! callum not being rude and saying her home is “modest” before rayla explains it’s an illusion, his BLUSH WHEN SHE HELPS HIM, and the softness in general. rayla’s excitement that she’s home and talks abt that she can show callum where she went to school, the best moonberry surprise place, until...

fourth, AH FUCK. A N G S T T I M E. rayla being crest-fallen before callum says that it must’ve been a mistake, and she realizes that ethari would probably understand!

and then CONFIRMED GAYS. YES.

rayla realizing ethari ghosted her too and then callum GOING O F F. he angy and when rayla runs out callum IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWS (like in a later episode) and comforts her again.

when ethari comes down and breaks the spell and says to callum “trees to meet you too” and rayla’s like “don’t encourage him”

also callum trying to get on the shadowpaw and ethari being Concerned is AMAZING. concerned dad content

i’ll talk more about ezran/ruthari/the dark magic trio in a later ted talk

4. H E R E W E G O

first, rayla clearly being sad and callum picking up on that quickly (he even seems to be almost falling on purpose, perhaps to make her smile?) and asking if she’s ok before being shot down by rayla insisting she is fine. GOD DAMN. THAT HURTS.

second, their interaction with nyx is so amazing. rayla being protective of zym and callum being a DORK is awesome, but also their decision making.

after rayla reluctantly decides that they can go see how nyx could get them across the desert so quickly, they see the ambler and then their reasoning is amazing.

“what do you think?”

“the dragon queen is dying.” and then i forget the rest of the exact quote but they give a subtle nod to eachother. they make their decisions TOGETHER. AS A TEAM. AND THAT’S ON HEALTHY FRIENDSHIPS X2!

third, callum continuing to gently press for rayla to express her emotions. he doesn’t pressure her, but seems to simply let her know that if she needs to talk (when she insists she’s fine), he is there.

four, MORE FLUSTERED RAYLLUM. YES. TY NYX but also fuck u for taking zym but also ur hot- A N Y W A Y

five. OOOOOOH. MY FAVORITE SCENE.

rayla’s crying and callum tries to reassure her. nyx is plotting, while rayla runs away and callum follows. Y E S.

rayla talks about how there’s nobody left that cares about her and she lost everything.. and then the SPEECH. i have this speech memorized i’ve watched this scene so many times

"JUST SHUT UP, YOU'RE TALKING CRAZY. JUST, LISTEN TO ME. YOU'RE TOO GOOD TO FEEL THIS BAD ABOUT YOURSELF. I KNOW THAT, AND YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT. YOU HAVE TRUE COURAGE, AND A BIG HEART! 5. MY FAVORITE EPISODE!

first, rayla saving callum from the soulfang serpents and callum helping her get up is AMAZING, LOVE THAT.

second, callum tryna get a good position and rayla j saying to hold onto her and callum GETTING FLUSTERED. BOY IS PINING also he didn’t have to hold her that close.

“I DON’T THINK OF HER THAT WAY” “YOU AND I DON’T HAVE THAT YET” LIAR.

three, THEM JUMPING OFF THE AMBLER AND. THAT WHOLE MOMENT? THE ROMANTIC TENSION IS KILLING ME

four. DAMN CALLUM RLLY DO BE HAVING HEART EYES @ RAYLA WHILE SHE KILLS LIKE 80 SOULFANGS HE IS PINING PART 2

five. THE SPEECH. THE SOFTNESS. THE KISSES. GOD DAMN. FAVORITE SCENE OUT OF THE ENTIRETY OF TDP. LOVE THEM.

first, rayla and callum reaching the stone thunder and callum asking “is it... a statue?” and rayla sadly saying “no. it’s not a statue” A. I CRI.

second, THIS MOMENT IS UNDERRATED EVEN THO IT’S ONE OF MY FAVS why has nobody mentioned the lil tender moment where ezran is by phoe-phoe and rayla puts her hand on callum’s shoulder AND CALLUM PUTS HIS HAND ON HERS. SO SWEET.

third, OK I’LL STOP MOST OF MY UNINTELLIGIBLE SHRIEKS AND ACTUALLY ANALYZE THIS.

callum is upset because of thunder and rayla sympathizes immediately. this is similar to how callum lets rayla let out her own emotions, and rayla is doing the same. he explains how he feels angry, upset, confused, sad, and rayla quickly empathizes. he keeps on venting, not knowing whether to feel regretful, or glad, and how he’s confused because that’s sarai’s spear. he feels sorry that all this happened, but rayla reassures him that zym and ezran are going to break the cycle! that’s hope! and then they hold hands and i screech

AND THAT’S SO FUCKING HEALTHY AND I LOVE IT. THEY RLLY BREAK ALL BAD HET RELATIONSHIP STEREOTYPES (coughbutistillheadcanonthembothasbiandcallumistransilldieonthishillcough)

7. angst but not rayllum angst so its ok

first, they begin to go up the storm spire and i really love their banter. “and i’m guessing the dragon queen didn’t make her den at a nice, halfway kinda place?” “nope. tiptop!”

second, ASSDHFNF THE FACT THEY M O C K THE IDEA OF A FORBIDDEN RELATIONSHIP. THEY’RE IN LOVE AND THE WORLD CAN DEAL WITH IT. LOVE THAT FOR THEM

third, RAYLA CATCHING CALLUM. IT’S. NOT RLLY BIG I JUST LIKE IT AND THINK IT’S CUTE HOW EVEN THOUGH SHE WAS ALSO OUT OF BREATH SHE RAN UP TO CATCH HIM.

one, ibis is j a good boi. back to rayla and callum

two, rayla going in to see the dragon queen and when she runs out callum QUICKLY FOLLOWS to see if she’s ok. asks her if she’s ok, and she OPENS UP!! CHARACTER GROWTH BABY!!! and then they hold hands and i once again shriek

three, AH. HELLO ANGST.

before we go to the actual angst, can i say that THE LAUGH AFTER RAYLA SAID “STORM SNEEZE” IS SO CUTE. CALLUMS IN LOVE. MY SON.

oh no.

*bonks rayla on the head* nO SELF SACRIFICING!!

although their fight is super angsty and i hate it, it does provide some conflict and more plot because it gives callum a reason to want to find out the truth about rayla’s parents. and then he does! people argue that this fight was unnecessary or that callum was a jerk, but this was needed i think. he did let his worry become a bit of anger, and that was not a nice move, but he knows he fucked up and fixes it!

and then we get soft rayllum this is fine

9. AND YOU THOUGHT LAST EPISODE WAS BAD N O *CRYING*

there’s not much rayllum featured in this ep, but the amount we do get is 80 PERCENT ANGST AND I WASN’T OK WITH IT

first, the fluff! callum trying to do the wing spell and rayla teasing “did you pull a muscle in the middle of a jumping jack?” is so cute. i LOVE THEM. also they hold hands and i SH RIEK again.

also soren how dare you interrupt callum he was abt to confess

second, callum when he’s explaining the battle plan and his ZAP HAND. rayla is j watching him like “yep. that is my dork.”

and CALLUM SEEMS SO FOND WHEN JANAI CALLS RAYLA THE LAST DRAGONGUARD. PERHAPS I SOB

skipping forward in time a bit for the angst oh no

third, callum going up to the storm spire after ez encouraging him to go to rayla. love that soft brotherly relationship. and we think “oh, soft rayllum, right?”

NO. VIREN’S UP THERE.

fourth, THEY DIDN’T NEED ME TO BE ROLLING ON THE FLOOR WTF. the fact that rayla’s blade went right in front of callum and he looks up and sees zym in danger, viren is there, and RAYLA is there, p a n i k.

and then rayla jumps and the entire rayllum fandom SC REAMS after callum’s “no!” before she jumps and “no, no, no, RAYLA!”

fifth, CALLUM NO WHY ARE YOU JUMPING TOO- oh wait its ok he did the wings and im still crying fuck

Favorite old Israeli songs? On another topic - your icon is so cute i love this angry owl. Stay safe and stay awesome!

I actually don’t listen a lot to Israeli music, let alone old songs (in general, I mostly listen to modern music, if a song was released before the 80′s, most chances are I won’t be interested, and tbh most music I listen to is from 1989 and onward, not before that lol), oops.

Even when I do listen to old Israeli songs, I listen mostly to modern covers/renditions of them. For example, I ADORE ברי סחרוף’s cover of ‘עוד חוזר הניגון’, it’s one of my most favourite songs ever, but I never listen to the original song lol. Same applies for the masterpiece that is אביתר בנאי’s & יהונתן רזאל’s rendition of ‘עטור מצחך’, I can listen to that in loops, but I never listen to the original song lol. Ditto about Useless ID’s cover of ‘לו הייתי פיראט’, I LOVE the cover version but I never listen to the original song lol.

I do like both the original rendition of ‘השדות האדומים’ by אהוד בנאי from the musical ‘מאמי’ and עברי לידר’s cover of it though, although I prefer the latter.

That being said, I go completely nuts for Yom HaZikaron songs, all of them, old classics included, make me teary and I love them a lot, so מה אברך, בלדה לחובש, בשמלה אדומה ושתי צמות, גבעת התחמושת, אנחנו שנינו מאותו הכפר etc. are all songs I love and listen to.

I like some old שלמה ארצי songs, such as the masterpiece that is חום יולי אוגוסט (one of the rare cases when I prefer the older original to the new rock cover lol), his song ‘המיסטיקנים הסינים’ with נורית גלרון is an instant classic as well. Oh and obvs תחת שמי הים התיכון, I mean, how could I not?

Obviously I also admire משינה’s ‘למה לי פוליטיקה עכשיו?’ and it is honestly frustrating and heartbreaking how RELEVANT that song is and how NOTHING has changed over three decades.

But then again, all of these ‘older’ songs (except for the Yom HaZikaron ones), are still from the 80′s & 90′s so not really old ones😂😂😂 I’m sorry, I’m bad at this.

Oh wait, I DO love many נעמי שמר songs, because how could I not? That woman was a genius lyricist and composer. I particularly love her אסוני הצעיר (and Revital Saltzman’s heartfelt rendition of it in the musical ‘סימני דרך’ is my fav performance of it), אור, עוד לא אהבתי דיי, אני גיטרה, אהבה בת עשרים (the female-friendship/love musical rendition of it, ofc, not the het versions of it lol)

So yeah, basically Yom HaZikaron songs and Naomi Shemer songs are the old-old Israeli songs I like lol.

Ayy can i have a matchup? (I would like a villain but anyone u see fit is game and im not picky w parts either) Im a 5'3 het girl with light brown eyes/hair and am pale as a ghost. I am VERY introverted and untrustful of people and hate when shit messes up my plans/schedule. I am very blunt to the point where i can be insensitive and cannot put myself in others' shoes. I would literally kill for the few people i do care about however and my actions always speak louder since im very bad w words. Music is my life and my fav genres are old rock/metal/punk and i always dress in all black with chains and many rings. Ironically i hate standing out (and ppl that stand out obnoxiously) even tho i often wear lots of makeup since i l o v e it. (2/3 finally decided dhshsh)

My hobbies include singing (i take vocal lessons), writing, drawing and gaming sometimes. I dont really have a "type" but i would like someone that could offer me peace and quiet and that would understand me. Or do we just pretend that Fred does not exist because that is a mood if I ever heard of one lol, but I might try the block everyone method if I am feeling brave, for now your blog satiates my needs for this fandom and I avoid the rest. If you however recommend some blogs who don't have shit takes and are not riddled with het ships, I'm all ears (why do I always make these so long? Sorry haha)

Yeah just Nick, and Ni//ck x J/un//e. I don’t really need to block Fred cos nobody really talks about him cos he’s so... I dunno. He’s literally the worst but I don’t see blatant hate or love posts for him. Everybody seems rather indifferent. It’s much more trendy and cool to hate on Serena and call her a cunt who needs to choke and die. Super progressive and unique takes for sure. Or love on Nick and says he’s so precious and was just a “poor boy following orders”. (Yeah, nothing questionable about using the Nuremberg defense for your fav...)

I also have “anti serena” blacklisted just in case someone ever uses any sense at some point.

Generally if I see a blog with good takes, I’ll reblog them. (I mean I have my fav mutuals blogs that I follow ofc, but I don’t follow a lot of people tbh. Still not a lot of people write detailed meta essays. Yet.) I think there are like two popular Nick stan blogs that I don’t have blocked cos they seem all right. Some bad takes to me, but also not spiteful hateful antis. They seem reasonable enough so there’s no need to block them when they pop up in the tags. They are, by and large, the exception to the rule. So, I guess it’s hopeful that there are a few people out there. (Then again, since I have Nick blacklisted I actually don’t read their takes on him which could be terrible I dunno lol. It’s their other content that is interesting.)

We generally have the plays split up along lines of “what we know”— we have a list at the very beginning of the blog. Sometimes we’ll draw the others’ characters (mostly me drawing some of Star’s…) but even then the final say on characterization is up to the “main” mod for that play — mod aster

I think my favorite play overall is Macbeth, just because I like the vibes (and the fact that I too could kill Macbeth), the fact that you don’t say it’s name in theatres, and the fact that it’s a play I did a full read through and analysis of in class. This is phrased like an ACT question and i might not answer it right so sorry in advance but: mod aster and i only selected a few plays for each of us to do given we dont know all of shakespeare’s works, but we tend to put more emphasis on the the more well known. But it also comes down to 1. How much we have plotted out for each play and 2. What the followers ask about most. Our two most popular are hamlet and macbeth bc people are familiar w those but around march caesar always becomes relevant again. I didnt even have designs for some of the characters until someone asked about them. -- mod star

I would say the same as star— it generally comes down to what people ask about. I will say that the overall plot is sort of separated into “has happened” and “is happening”. Like, the human potion of Midsummer, Julius Caesar, and Macbeth are all in the “aftermath” portion, while Twelfth Night, Hamlet, and Romeo and Juliet, among others, are happening. We’re trying to incorporate as much as we can, and I don’t think any of them were really put in without some thought.— mod aster

I go to a theater school rn and so ive dealt w shakespeare (although not all of them) it also helps that i was in loves labours lost last year as moth and that i read hamlet and r n j. Theres also a theater in my state that always does One Big Shakespeare per season and they always do them super well!!! To be honest, I got back into Shakespeare Because of the blog. I’ve been friends with some people that got really Pretentious about Shakespeare, and it kinda put me off of it. I did have a book of abridged plays (the plays’ plots written out in prose, basically) that I read as a kid, which is what got me into not only the plots of a lot of the plays, but also the idea of having them illustrated. And, same as star, the theater in state does the One Big Shakespeare— and they tend to do some really cool things with the costumes, setting them in diff time periods. Oh man. I started drawing when I was about 10, but it was Bad. I don’t think I got much into drawing again until I was about 14? Sometime around the end of middle school/beginning of high school. I would say I started getting into drawing as more than doodling/coloring edits sometime around 2015-16? Met mod aster when i was like 4 and even tho we didnt live close we became like, best friends although the Best part didnt start until we were like 13-ish and eventually we talked like non stop (about anime and homestuck. Yknow. 13 year old kid things) and we didnt see each other a lot bc of Distance and now its even worse bc aster is in colleg.,e but we consider each other siblings regardless of family bc we’re adopted into our own respective families so that bled over into our friendship and it would feel weird calling him anything other than my brother now. It can depend on the piece? I was working on some (unrelated) oc prints that were song-focused, and for those I just listened to said song on loop. Sometimes I have playlists. Sometimes I’ll just be in a Mood and throw a song on loop. But a lot of time for the blog, I’ll listen to The Adventure Zone for the billionth time, because I have Too Much Attention. I tend to obsess over the same like 3 songs every few weeks so those get listened to on repeat but it also depends on the tone of what im drawing or who im drawing i might genre switch bc of that. If im drawing ophelia i stick to lana del rey and if im drawing hamlet its the neighborhood, horatio is sufjan stevens etc. i have categorized,. Most of the characters i draw into different songs/genres/energies of music but not like i ever follow that. Sometimes i just pull up a really long nonsense video and forget to draw. How did you end up deciding the rough timeline of events in canon? (@pedanticlecturer)

It’s mostly determined by like. How we choose per story? If that makes sense. Like, we just take story by story, and decide “is it happening, has it happened, and when?” And then we fit them together in relation to each other just by dint of. All existing at once. Like, I knew I wanted Macbeth to be in aftermath, because like, even though there’s no murder, the way I’ve translated it to the AU is still kinda heavy, and it’s something that I don’t know that I could do properly if it were happening right now. Also, it’s more interesting IMO to have them at different times. Tl;dr we wing it per story and slot them together— mod aster (mod star agrees I just can word better, in theory)

If you could tell the story of shakespeare high in a different format than an ask blog, would you? Obviously y'all are making very good use of the format, but would you want to write this as a animated series or like? a comic book? or is the form inseparable from the story? (@pedanticlecturer)

Pretty much what Star said— there are certain elements where it’d be neat to do as a comic or as an animatic. Like, the fantasy dream is like, an anthology webcomic of each story, where you can like, see other characters in the background and stuff. But to be honest, we develop a lot by what we’re asked— there was a post about developing worldbuilding by being asked questions and then pretending you’ve thought about the answer, and it’s not far off. Personally, it’s hard to just lay out a story, because I have a whole WORLD and what’s relevant? What are people interested in? It’s by getting questions that I can then focus in on an area to develop. And yeah, we Super didn’t think we’d get this far lmao — mod aster

My thoughts: I love them heaps!!! Like Ymir says they’re both very similar with y'know the whole living a lie thing they’ve been through. They’ve both been through horrible things no little girl should have gone through. Yet (as much as Ymir likes to deny it) they both still have some compassion inside and a caring nature. I just feel like they really understand each other and they need someone like that. I also just think they compliment each other really nicely like two sides of the same coin. I love their lil fights/arguments too I think they’re adorable bc they’re healthy and normal and are usually made to try and help the other person. Summary: they’re super cute I love them

What makes me happy about them: That they’re canon (especially as lgbts) !!! Like I can still remember the day it was announced my friend and I were like crying and clinging to each other the whole day haha. And they’re just really cute and a perfect match in my opinion

What makes me sad about them:If you’re caught up on the manga I think you could take a guess. Also how they seem to be almost destined to never be properly together with Ymir’s deal with Reiner and Historia with her queen duties. Also both of their backstories are tragic and always make me sad

Things done in fanfic that annoys me:I guess just mischaracterisation like Historia being portrayed as super sweet and innocent. Other than that nothing really!

Things I look for in fanfic:I’m always looking out for canonverse yumihisus but I haven’t came across many. I’m not sure, I haven’t really read a yumihisu fic that’s really blown me away. How I feel about this character: She’s a blessing. She’s very sweet and strong. I wish she wasn’t just reduced to potato jokes bc she’s so much more than that! She’s such a good person and character! I love how goofy and sometimes rebellious yet polite and kind she is. I love that she’s shown with the little insecurity of her accent and her way of speaking but her friends always try and bring her out of that as they love her the way she is. I love that she expresses fear as you realistically would. She’s a very real, believable and relatable character.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Mikasa, Connie, Ymir (is this a thing?? please be a thing), Historia ahhhh Sasha and all the girls please, Mina bc of that one official art and actually holy heck they would have been cute, Annie? How I feel about this character: Historia is really important to me personally as I relate to her a lot (both of us being super gay for Ymir lmao)

But like the whole taking on a different personality for most of your life. Like I was very much like Krista during most of my school life. I was overly kind, sweet and caring to everyone even people who really did not deserve it. It’s quite interesting actually that as I read Historia starting to ‘live for herself’ and as herself I was too. So I kind of grew out of that with her which is why she’s very important to me.

And it’s always nice to find a character you relate to and the fact that she likes girls too is just 🙏🙏

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Ymir!!!! And Eren

My non-romantic OTP for this character:Maybe Reiner and Historia? Like I can see them being each other’s beards and maybe in an au tricking the parents that they’re straight as they’re both pretty much the poster children of the bf/gf you’d want to show off to your mum. My unpopular opinion about this character: I don’t think people think it anymore but I remember when the chapters were coming out as her as Historia most people thought she was this super cold bitch (me included at first) but hah that’s not the case. I mean she’s not ridiculously nice goddess Krista but she definitely still cares about herself, Ymir, her friends and children. You just have to remember she had a rough life and childhood of course she’s gonna come across as cold and distant sometimes.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:I want her and Ymir to get married and to take in the orphaned children and raise them as their own (with the help of her loyal servants and possibly in their free time Levi Squad as Historia is a very busy queen). Ymir would love her lots and Historia would raise and treat the children how she wished she could have been. She’d dedicate as much time as she could with them. I want her to be happy and content with her life

Anyways I hate Loophole Media

Summary: Using loopholes in media to do shitty things minorities or defend shitty things is pretty shitty of you. (Aka: If you don't want to write rep correctly don't do it at all. No is better than shit rep. )

So anyways take this long ramble that sounded way better and smart in my head my two followers.

I really can't trust anything made by popular that was made by a or group of whites (race or color) or cis/hets because of this.

Take these medias for example that I used to see alot across my dash:

-Mp100

-Steven Universe

-Dragon Prince

-(oh you flippin' know who goes here)

-H×H

I can't go more than two seasons or a couple of eps without having to greet my lovely friends:

-Dead/Problematic Lgbt+ Rep

And

-Racist/Stereotypical Remarks/Characters

And it's not that these medias are a disgrace to Earth and all of mankind, I enjoy these things too, but it's the fact you can't call these things out for two hot seconds without deadbrain supporters saying shit like:

- "They died heroically."

- "The art style is always exaggerated" (deadass someone said this)

- "You're overacting / [Context] [Context]"

And the main problem with these is just people sweeping the major issue at hand in the gutter for lazy, offensive, or half-assed context and defense.

This is what I call Loophole media.

Cause it's like wow, it's almost as if fans/creators use loopholes to do historical shitty things to minorities/minors with as little criticism as possible. Whether intentional or not. With people who have 0 critical thinking (or just white) frothing at the mouth because someone called out your "fav" for making anti-black character #20456.

This is why I for one hate the "they died heroically excuse" for the death of minorities. Because for a good chunk most of the media it happens in a) uses it as their only rep, b) that group has little/bad rep, or c) already filled with problematic things. And that excuse falls flat on it ass when you add these things to the situation. I really shouldn't have to explain why making some of ur only rep die or be long gone is healthy or can even be consider rep.

The excuse of "it's the art style" unfavorably cross my eyes while someone was calling out Mp100 for making anti-black charcater number #20456. It's disgusting really how someone can think that's a vaild response to red, monkey lips on blacks. And to be clear these excuses fall under the same category of people defending whitewashing or transphobic artist with the whole "art style" excuse. And it's wild.......

Finally, saying that someone is "over-reactting" or trying to add """"""""context"""""""""" to the situation is some of the wildest shit ever. And has been used to excuse shit like pedophiles, incest, transphobes, abuse, and racism for as long as I can remember. Minorities have to put up with this stuff constantly. And most of time why few little speak out or "don't care" is because it's some widespread thing that people just can't even dare to think that it could be harmful and wrong. And those who do are shitted on for dare being tired of having media treat them as funny stress relievers.

So sorry that someone would dare crash upon your escapism because they're tired of the only thing of them being presented on screen is something disgusting and stereotypically been ingrained into our culture from -phobes. I am so sorry someone would even think of speaking against trashy deeprooted hate or ideas being presented as their only connection between and a character like them. I am so sorry all media isn't your happy [insert white nation] family in the 1800's.

Like just today of the making of this post I had to read on somebody on a person post who was saying not to drool an abuser, rapist, etc. defend it saying "they're all like this" [false] as if that somehow excuses people drooling over an abuser, rapist, etc. And perhaps if that is the kind of mess it is, then it shouldn't be getting the traction it's getting?

I hate using example like these, but it is just what this is. It's like people excusing a racist because they're [insert age], or popular, or because """""context"""""". People like this post mentions are on the same par, their really no counter-back for this besides you don't like being called on being a piece of trash.

No rep is better than shit rep, and fans/creators using loophole media to leave with a scratch are weak.

If this somehow becomes popular between the masses don't anyone dare clown my post with their bullshit. Because you're exactly the type of person I am talking about. Feel ashamed asshat
