John McLaughlin's quite curious. His career can attest to the fact as we are going to observe in our discussions on the latter. I mean, one only has to check Mahavisnu Orchestra, one of his major projects, to hear what I mean. The group found him traversing through the different facets of jazz fusion. Then again, the sound of the band remodelled immensely thanks to the fact the entire set of members sans McLaughlin got replaced. That is why there are always debates about the best lineup. One shouldn't be that petty, because all of them have their moments of greatness, though one can tell the number two of them got severely overlooked most of the time in the assessments of the collective's opus. To be honest, the volatility of that one might be to blame here.

Todd Rundgren Has Laryngitis; Celebrating David Bowie Tour Adjusts
- Nov. 4 show postponed; Nov. 5 to go on without Rundgren and with Narada Michael Walden
Todd Rundgren has laryngitis and the Celebrating David Bowie tour is making adjustments.
The Nov. 4 show in Ohio is postponed, while Nov. 5 in New York will go ahead without Rundgren and with Narada Michael Walden in his place.
Rundgren, who sings “Young Americans,” “Space Oddity,” “Changes,” “Life on Mars?” and other songs on the gigs, “is navigating a case of laryngitis impacting his ability to sing,” per a statement.
The announcement about Cincinnati came hours before showtime and indicates another leg of the tour - read Sound Bites’ review of Akron here - is planned for “spring 2023,” when the makeup date is to occur.
Meanwhile, Walden will sub for Rundgren Nov. 5 in New York, the venue said in a statement.
No word on plans for the Nov. 7 show in Tennessee.
Scrote, Adrian Belew, Royston Langdon and Jeffrey Gaines are the other featured artists.

REVIEW: Journey - Freedom (2022, Japanese bonus track)
REVIEW: Journey – Freedom (2022, Japanese bonus track)
JOURNEY – Freedom (2022 Japan, Ward Records) Last month we gave Journey’s new album Freedom a glowing review.  We also did an excellent episode of Tim’s Vinyl Confessions to discuss the new album.  Though many were sceptical, Tim and I agreed more or less on the entire album.  We were both pleasantly surprised at its quality.  What was missing was the Japanese bonus 16th track.  Neither of us got…

“No juzgues nada, serás feliz. Perdona todo, serás más feliz. Ama todo, serás más feliz”
Sri Chinmoy
Tumblr media

Release: October 19, 1991
Lyrics:
Sitting in my class, just drifting away
Staring into the windows of the world, yeah
I can't hear the teacher, his books don't call me at all
I don't see the bad boys tryin' to catch some play
'Cause I love your smile
I love your smile
The clock at work says three
And I wanna be free
Free to scream, free to bathe, free to paint
My toes all day
My boss is lame you know, and so is the pay
I'm gonna put that new black mini on my charge anyway
'Cause I love your smile
(Hey) Said I love your smile
Time came and showed me your direction
Now I know I'll never ever go back
Taught me that
I can be a better girl
With love you give, you rock my world
You dig
Blow, Branford, blow
I'm showin' the life that I'm livin'
This is the life that I have
And it's given to you
Yeah, and it's true
Ladida, twinkly-dee
Do you, believe in a girl like me?
Shanice is the one for you to be with
But when I'm caught all alone
I start fessin'
It's from state of depression
And then the thunder clouds of doubt move in
I begin to wonder, "Do you still love me?"
But after that
My whole world is beautiful
Smile, sike
Time came and showed me your direction
Now I know I'll never ever go back
Taught me that
I can be a better girl
With love you give, you rock my world
Ooh, I love your smile (smile for me)
And yes I do, boy
I love your smile
I love your smile, baby
Songwriter:
I love your smile
I really do
