I did run this fun hand-set job this week, labels for a luthier to glue inside her violins. Why not a refresh? Even similar to how things are kept "alive" in ram? Or how you refresh a website at least. Apps can be similar. Combine storage as ram for frequent apps, with ram and it "loads" instantly because it's always in memory but asleep. Just stop 99% of activity until needed and then turn on the floodgates. Have the OS designate certain apps and the user, others, as instant and combined memory. And it saves on the lifespan of the storage. There's only so many read/writes. And it can fail. #redneckingenuity - Our front porch up on the hill is a sheet of ice, so my hubby asked me to improvise a sign and temporary mailbox for street level. I took a wire mesh organizer we had and made a flippy lid out of report covers so the mail would be protected from the weather. I hung the whole thing with daisy-chained shower curtain rings from big binder clips attached to the window trim.
