15 Day BL Challenge 2K24
This is the last day of my challenge! I think I'm going to do a more inclusive one. I sort of excluded other QL's, GL's and women all together, which is TRASH of me to do. It wasn't really my intention, but I think I was just trying to release a more generic one to see how it was received by the community. So I will make a new, better one. Or should I just make one for GLs? IDK I'll work on a new one soon. It's here if you want to do it, but I get it if you wanna wait for the new one to come out.
Day 15: Top 5 Bestest Besties
The Boy Clique from History 3: Make Our Days Count. If you...disregard them bullying Xi Gu in the beginning...they're a great group of friends. They supported each other through everything. They apologized to Xi Gu and adopted him into their friend group when Hao Ting started dating him. They went and found yaoi novels to read so they could talk to Sun Bo Xiang properly when he started showing his interest in Lu Zhi Gang. And overall they just hyped each other up about every, single thing. I loved them.
Tumblr media
The Special Investigation Unit from The Sign the Series. Yai and Tharn of course, but the entire friend group. KhemThongthai and Yai had noooo problems going along with PhayaTharn's shenanigans and hijinks throughout the series. They did every thing they could to get the two together and they searched high and low with Phaya to find Tharn. They were there crying over Phaya with Tharn. They helped each other excel through training camp together. The 5 of them had a true brotherhood.
Tumblr media
The Squad from Together With Me. I will always love this solid group of friends. They had a family. They always banded together to protect whoever needed it. They took care of Pharm when it came to his icky relationship with the school doctor. Yiwa was KornKnock's biggest supporter. Korn wouldn't sleep until he found Yiwa after Knock's girlfriend tried to hire thugs to hurt her. And Yiwa and Fai worked hard to take down Knock's evil girlfriend. They even helped P'Phu defend his relationship with his...professor...
Tumblr media
Pearl and her Babes from The Gameboys Franchise. Gawd she was like their lil Fairy Bi-Mother. She worked hard to get CaiReel together and protect them from outside forces. She offered them so much sound advice and she was quick to apologize when she was wrong. She was always there for CaiReel, never judged them, and played an integral part in them meeting in real life. And they offered their advice, love, and support when she was looking for a girlfriend. And they were ALWAYS down to support whatever cause she was working to promote. Gav even did food delivery for Pearl's father.
Tumblr media
Saebit Boys HS Student Council from Light On Me. I still don't like ole girl on the end so this is really about Daon, Taekyung, Shinwoo, and Namgoong. Namgoong is an excellent friend through and through. He was all knowing and all seeing and he kept his friends in check and offered sound advice. I love that Daon and Shinwoo didn't let their crushes on Taekyung ruin their friendship. They both agreed to pursue Taekyung and didn't stand in each other's way. They let Taekyung decide and didn't try to persuade him by speaking badly about each other. They even traded advice. Just a healthy lil friendship group. AND I AM SO PROUD OF TAEKYUNG AND DAON FOR HOLDING OLE GIRL ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE CRAP SHE PULLED.

I just finished watching 'Light on me' (I know I'm a bit late to the party 😅) and oH MY GOD I have NEVER felt so much emotion while watching a show
I literally squealed at the final two episodes, especially when Taekyung held Shinwoo's hand and their kiss at the end... Perhaps I screamed.
I literally loved all of the characters and I'm really glad that they gave Lee Sohee a redemption arc, because in the beginning I would literally groan whenever she came on screen... and I'm sorry but I need a friend like Namgoong in my life!! He's so funny but also so genuine and only wants what's best for his friends 🥺
Shinwoo was ultimately my favourite character, I rooted for him from the start. I can relate to him a lot, and when I watched him, I could see myself. Though, I liked Daon too! So, ultimately, I wouldn't have minded who Taekyung ended up with... But like I said, I'm glad it was Shinwoo!!
Anyway, I think I've rambled on enough about how much I loved the show and the characters so I'll end the post here before it ends up being a novel 😅
If anyone reads this and has watched the show and needs friends please message me because I am in desperate need of friends who have watched this show and who watch bl drama's and can relate to what I'm saying!

💬 Xports [13082020]: Press Interview Highlights for #ItsOkaytoNotBeOkay, Parts 1 & 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Actress Park Gyuyoung expressed gratitude for working with her co-stars in "It's Okay to Not Be Okay."
On the 12th, Park Gyuyoung had an interview in a café in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, discussing the conclusion of the tvN drama "It's Okay to Not Be Okay."
In the drama, she played the role of Nam Juri, a mental health nurse. She portrayed a character who is an old friend of Go Moonyoung (played by Seo Yeji) and has an unrequited love for Moon Gangtae (played by Kim Soohyun). Notably, her character switches dramatically when drunk, seamlessly transitioning between innocence and comedy.
Park Gyuyoung remarked, "The 16 episodes seemed long, but ended so quickly. I feel both regret and pride, as the show received a lot of love." She added, "Not just my friends, but their friends watched it too. Even parents' friends were watching.
When asked about the most memorable feedback, Park Gyuyoung recalled, "I played characters in previous works, and people didn't realize they were all played by the same person. That reaction was memorable."
She also expressed her gratitude to co-stars Kim Soohyun, Seo Yeji, Kim Mikyung, and others. "I felt lucky to work with such seniors. The set was wonderful. Initially, I was hesitant about how to approach them, but they came forward and engaged in conversation, helping me act comfortably."
Especially about working with Kim Mikyung, she said, "There was a scene where I honestly expressed my feelings to my mother. Acting with seniors can be daunting, but she made it so comfortable. She created an atmosphere where I could act however I wanted."
The most memorable scene for her was being rejected by Moon Gangtae. She felt it best represented Nam Juri's emotions.
"Juri had a long unrequited love, and there's a scene where she gets harshly rejected, even to the ends of the earth. She confesses again on a rooftop and gets turned down. Despite this, she says, 'I just hope I don't become a burden and make you run away.' It was a hard line to say, but I think it well expressed Juri's feelings."
She particularly excelled in scenes where her character dramatically changed after drinking, effortlessly moving between innocence and comedy. Park Gyuyoung, who convincingly played a drunk character, admitted that she actually doesn't drink well in real life. She shared, "I thought of Juri's scenes as the only moments where she could truly express herself, so I really let go in my acting. I thought if Juri was usually reserved and restrained, then I needed to release pent-up energy in these scenes."
She added, "When I was acting, the staff would often laugh. I drew strength from that and tried hard to make it enjoyable."
Asked about the most memorable direction from director Park Shinwoo, Park Gyuyoung said, "The director completely trusted me and told me to do as I wished. There wasn't any specific direction to do this or that."
She continued, "In the scene where I had to touch fingers with Sangin (played by Kim Joohun), showing that our characters connected, the director gave very detailed directions, even to the nano level. That made me realize how meticulous he is."
Discussing the real-time drama talk and viewer reactions, Park Gyuyoung recalled, "What stayed with me was when people said, 'I didn't realize this person was the same person.' Seeing that people felt the emotions I intended in the scenes I was nervous and burdened about gave me confidence."
With the drama's popularity, her fan base has understandably grown. Park Gyuyoung laughed, saying, "A long-time fan said, 'It's fun to have someone to talk to now, instead of just talking to a wall.'

In Loathe With You
What happens if Taekyung confronts Shinwoo about why Shinwoo has been avoiding him since the incident in the library?
Aka the one where Shinwoo definitely doesn’t ‘hate’ Shinwoo. In fact, it’s kind of the opposite.
The way that Taekyung looked at Shinwoo terrified him.
Taekyung made Shinwoo feel seen. Like all the bullshit and layers of self-doubt and defensiveness were stripped away by Taekyung’s gaze alone.
Taekung looked at people with such intention, it was as if Taekyung was studying you like his life depended on it but Shinwoo soon realized it was more of a survival tactic that Taekyung must have developed to navigate social situations. The more he could gather in mere seconds, the more likely that Taekyung would be able to handle the interaction without too many consequences.
Shinwoo had felt something between them shift after Taekyung stepped into the way of the fight. The cut beneath Taekyung’s eye was a reminder that he put himself in harm’s way for someone that repeatedly declared that he ‘hated’ him and called him ‘annoying’.
Who did that?
It took Shinwoo some time to muster up the courage to call Taekyung and, in his own awkward way, thank him for the gesture. He couldn’t help but stutter anytime he was around Taekyung. He was so hard to read and decipher that it was both unsettling and fascinating to Shinwoo. It made him want to reach out into Taekyung’s mind every time they shared space and find out exactly what was going on for his peer.
So Shinwoo had bought a package of bandages.
…. With the intention of offering them to Taekyung as a sort of peace offering.
But then he encountered Daon and Taekyung in the library and Shinwoo’s confidence shattered into a million pieces. Shinwoo had seen the fondness that Taekyung looked at Daon with a million times before, whether it was students who wanted to date him or friends who looked up to him as if he were some sort of God on Earth.
Shinwoo knew he could never compete with Daon. Daon was warmth, sunshine and refreshing sweet tea while Shinwoo was ice, a cup of bitter coffee and a day inside escaping the rain. Daon was laughing and beaming smiles while Shinwoo was a comfortable shared silence and contemplation.
And it seemed like Taekyung had already decided what he wanted, despite the connection that Shinwoo had felt brewing between them. There was a part of Shinwoo that was shocked that someone like Taekyung would fall for Daon’s warmth but Shinwoo knew how hard it was to escape the power of Daon’s influence. Even Shinwoo had once felt trapped by his feelings for Daon but quickly realized they worked much better as friends.
So, Shinwoo took a step back despite what his instincts told him.
He kept his feelings to himself and started to rebuild the wall between him and Taekyung again so that he wouldn’t get hurt. It was better to feel nothing than to feel hurt. It was better to pretend to loathe someone than love them. The pain was more obtuse.
But Taekyung didn’t seem to appreciate the regression. A few days after the incident in the library, Taekyung cornered Shinwoo in the student council room during a study period that they both shared. Shinwoo regretted ever going to the student council room that day, knowing that Taekyung paid close attention to details such as people’s routines.
“Why are you ignoring me again?” Taekyung demanded bluntly, slamming his hands down onto the council table where Shinwoo was sitting.
This was another quality of Taekyung’s that Shinwoo admired. His need for transparency and honesty meant there was nothing left unclarified, as much as Shinwoo liked to keep things hidden. Taekyung tolerated no BS and Shinwoo found it quite refreshing.
“I-I’m not.” Shinwoo muttered in response and tried to avoid Taekyung’s piercing glare by pretending to study the form he was filling out.
“You’re not good at lying.” Taekyung accused and it somehow didn’t come across as an insult when he said it.
“Look, I’m trying to get this clubs form done so if you want something to entertain you, why don’t you clean the council room again?” Shinwoo deflected, hoping it would be enough to get Taekyung off his case. He really wasn’t in the mood for a confrontation right now.
Instead of taking Shinwoo’s suggestion, Taekyung rounded the table to the side where Shinwoo was sitting and sat in the chair directly next to Shinwoo’s. The sudden invasion of space made Shinwoo’s breath hitch in surprise and when he looked up to meet Taekyung’s gaze, he was shocked to see a look of resolve rather than frustration.
“I don’t know what I did to upset you, but whatever it was, I’m sorry.” Taekyung shared, his voice softer than before.
Shinwoo swallowed slowly, taken aback by the abrupt shift in Taekyung’s tone. “You didn’t do anything. Nothing’s wrong. I don’t know what you mean…”
“You started to open up to me.” Taekyung interrupted Shinwoo in earnest. “You called me! You apologized to me and you even started to greet me… but then, these past few days… it feels like it went back to how it was before. I don’t want to feel invisible to you anymore.”
The hurt was obvious in Taekyung’s words and the guilt quickly flooded through Shinwoo. The last thing he wanted to do was cause Taekyung pain. He had removed himself from the equation so that Shinwoo and Daon could pursue whatever was going on between them. He didn’t want to mess with what was obviously brewing between them. Plus, in taking a step back, Shinwoo was protecting himself too. But how could Shinwoo possibly explain this to Taekyung without revealing his feelings for him?
Because that was the crux of it all.
Shinwoo liked Taekyung.
And that was exactly why they had to go back to how they were before…. So no one got hurt.
“Is it because I heard the stuff your middle school friends said?” Taekyung surged on anxiously. “I’m not going to tell anyone. It’s none of my business, unless you want to tell me about it. I’m never going to push you to tell me things you don’t want to. I just… I want us to get along. I want us to be friends.”
The word ‘friends’ stung more than it should have but that was a pain that Shinwoo would have to learn to tolerate. He could see that the way he was treating Taekyung was doing more damage than it was worth. If Taekyung wanted to be friends, he could keep his feelings hidden as he had with Daon. They would soon dissolve into feelings of platonic affection..
But would they?
There was something innately different about how Shinwoo felt about Taekyung. His feelings were more visceral, like they lived deep within rather than just on the surface. They hadn’t known each other for long but Shinwoo’s feelings for Taekyung felt like they had always dwelled within, ready to rise to the surface when he first laid his eyes on Taekyung.
“Okay.”
That was all that Shinwoo could offer.
The weight of everything sat upon his shoulders and the image of encountering Daon and Taekyung in the library flashed in his memory, sending a pang of hurt through him once again. It spread through his body like a slight shiver as he kept his eyes on Taekyung.
“Okay.” Taekyung responded slowly, almost as if he didn’t believe what Shinwoo had set.
Shinwoo watched as Taekyung momentarily gathered his thoughts, hoping that the interrogation was over and he could at least pretend to return to his work and be left alone with his thoughts. But Taekyung didn’t seem satisfied with the conversation.
“You don’t have to answer but… what changed?” Taekyung asked and Shinwoo wished he had simply continued on with the ‘I hate you’ charade. It would have been easier than having conversations like this one.
“It seemed like, for a second there, that you actually might want to be friends with me.” Taekyung expressed and Shinwoo could hear the vulnerability in Shinwoo’s words. “But then it quickly went back to how it was before… what did I do wrong?”
Shinwoo sighed, letting his gaze fall to the table rather than having to face Taekyung. “Like I said, you didn’t do anything wrong… I just… I think it’s best if we keep a distance between us.”
“Why?” Taekyung shook his head in confusion. “I don’t understand.”
Shinwoo could feel the truth on the tip of his tongue but he knew honesty would destroy any semblance of a friendship that they had between him and Taekyung, especially given how Taekyung felt for Daon.
“I saw you and Daon in the library.” That was the only explanation that Shinwoo could offer but it only seemed to confuse Taekyung even more.
Taekyung turned his chair to face Shinwoo more directly. “Okay… but what does that have to do with anything?”
For someone so observant, it seemed like Taekyung had a blind spot to how people felt about him. It made the whole interaction both unbearable and embarrassing for Shinwoo but Shinwoo also knew Taekyung wasn’t going to let him escape until the matter was resolved.
“I saw how you looked at him.” Shinwoo explained slowly, the words feeling like poison as they passed through his lips.
“Huh?” Taekyung’s brow knit together for a moment before his eyes grew wide with realization. “You think I like Daon?”
The truth hurt already but hearing it directly from Taekyung felt like a slap across the face. Shinwoo didn’t know how to respond besides nodding and remaining silent as Taekyung regarded him intently.
But then Taekyung did something unexpected - he reached out and gently trailed his fingers across one of Shinwoo’s ears. The touch made Shinwoo become starkly still and all remaining thoughts disappeared from his mind.
“Your ears are red again.” Taekyung remarked softly, leaning in toward Shinwoo.
Shinwoo couldn’t help but let himself be caught up in the moment for a few seconds before his eyes fell on the bandaid that Daon had placed on Taekyung’s face. At that, he pulled away from Taekyung’s touch and turned his eyes away as well, feeling the shame flood through him.
Out of the corner of his eye, Shinwoo saw Taekyung’s hand hover slightly before retracting it and touching the bandaid on his face. “Daon doesn’t like me. He takes care of everyone. You should know that by now, Shinwoo.”
Taekyung looked back to Shinwoo and blurted out, “But you like him.”
Shinwoo shrugged, “He’s nice to me. I think maybe I thought I did for a second but then I realized it was a different feeling…. It was friendship, not a romantic feeling or physical attraction. I’m just not used to people having any investment in me… he made me feel seen. But I understand the difference now.”
“How?” Shinwoo wondered, not even processing the relief that he was experiencing at hearing that Taekyung didn’t want to be anything more than Daon’s friend.
“Because of how I feel about you.” Taekyung admitted, the nerves clear in his voice.  “Don’t you wonder why I was so insistent about finding out why you hated me? It was borderline obsessive!”
Shinwoo’s mind turned to static. He understood the possibility of what Taekyung was saying but it was too unbelievable to conceive that Taekyung felt the same as him, especially considering how Shinwoo had treated him.
“You want to be my friend.” Shinwoo expressed numbly.
“No, you don’t get it.” Taekyung was shaking his head in disbelief again before becoming still and solemn. “I like you, Shinwoo.”
For a second, Shinwoo thought he had heard Taekyung wrong or was imagining things. But then Taekyung kept talking, “Maybe that will make you hate me. Maybe I shouldn’t have said anything but I just felt like something had changed between us and maybe...Maybe I don’t know how to have friends but what I do know is that I don’t want to just be friends with you, Shinwoo. I don’t expect anything in return, I just… need to be honest with you.”
“Honest.” Shinwoo repeated the word numbly as he was still in shock by Taekyung’s confession.
“Before I ever said anything.” Taekyung bit out.
Shinwoo  realized too late that he must have come across in a mocking tone as a look of hurt crossed Taekyung’s face before he shoved his chair back to make an escape. An all too familiar shame was clear in Taekyung’s eyes as he moved toward the door of the student council room.
And even though Shinwoo was still in autopilot, his body leapt into action on his behalf, knowing that if he didn’t act now, he might lose Taekyung forever. The damage would be done if he didn’t make his intentions clear.
Shinwoo slipped in front of Taekyung and put his back to the door to block Taekyung from exiting. Taekyung took a surprised step back and tore his gaze from Shinwoo’s, letting out a huff of frustration. “I don’t need your pity, Shinwoo. I get it now. You hate me and that’s never going to change.”
“I don’t hate you.” Shinwoo practically whispered. “I never did.”
Taekyung looked urgently back to Shinwoo. “What?”
Shinwoo took a deep breath and stepped closer to Taekyung, raising his hand to gently run his thumb over the bandaid on Taekyung’s cheek. “I don’t hate you, Taekyung. I was… terrified of how you made me feel.”
“I don’t understand.” Taekyung murmured under Shinwoo’s touch.
“The weight of what I feel for you, it was too much.” Shinwoo explained slowly, articulating every word. “That’s why I acted like I hated you. I was awful to you because… well, you were overwhelming. I didn’t want you around because… well, I like you too, and I was scared of what that meant.”
Taekyung relaxed slightly, his expression becoming more open and curious than defensive. “But what does Daon have anything to do with this?”
“I was planning to bring you a bandaid as an apology for how I treated you after the fight.” Shinwoo answered, embarrassed about how he had handled the situation. “But then I saw you and Daon in the library and I guess.. I just didn’t want to get in the way of you too.”
“Like I said, there’s nothing to get in the way of.” Taekyung raised his hand to put around Shinwoo’s wrist and leaned his head into Shinwoo’s palm that was still cradling his face.
“I know that now.” Shinwoo shared with a relieved sigh.
And then something beautiful happened. Taekyung smiled at Shinwoo and something in Shinwoo melted. The walls of ice that he had worked so hard for so long to build up began to dissipate because of Taekyung’s mere presence.
“So… what does this make us?” Taekyung asked boldly, beaming at Shinwoo.
“It definitely makes us more than friends.” Shinwoo responded, a smile tugging at his own lips.
Taekyung leaned forward so their foreheads touched momentarily before he pulled back again. He had a satisfied look in his eyes and he teased, “Your ears are red again. I guess you really do like me.”
Shinwoo rolled his eyes. He could get used to this banter but he might never get used to the reality that Taekyung felt the same way he did and had been brave enough to share those feelings with him.
And, just like that, Shinwoo wasn’t so afraid of how Taekyung made him feel anymore.

How can you talk bad things about Daon and Shinwoo? They're both in complicated situations.
Daon is the sweetest guy, he's really nice and polite and he cares a lot, but he obviously has his own problems; we already know he's dealing with something at home (apparently related to his parents) which is probably the reason why he acts the way he acts around people. Those things about him not being able to say 'no' or trying to please everyone in order to keep them happy (but somehow hurting them in the end). He's amazing but i think he's also very sad, you can't hate him because he's too nice or because you think he's fake. There's actual people who are like him.
I don't know what's going to happen in the next episodes but in my opinion and from what i can tell so far, Daon isn't faking his kindness or anything. He's genuinely kind but some people just take too much from him and he feels obligated to do the things he's asked to do, because he doesn't want to hurt anyone and something happened to him that made him that way.
I somehow get why people would think 'he's too nice it's suspicious' but it's clear he sometimes does things he doesn't want to do; his emotions show in his face even if it's only for a second. It's not like the show is trying to hide there's something going on with him.
As viewers who genuinely enjoy the show, we need to understand the characters and think why would they be the way they are or do this or that.
On the other hand there's Shinwoo. He's also really sweet and a nice guy, but it's harder for him to do and talk about things.
His personality might be like that, but there's that scene with the middle school classmates where they mention shinwoo's 'secret' which is probably about him being gay given that the guy also questioned him about taekyung being his bf as a way to mock him. It was there for a reason.
There's no way you can talk bad about him or say that he's toxic; it's not fair to say he lacks personality because his only trait is him liking taekyung or that he's just the bad guy the main character always ends up with because they lack good taste. Shinwoo is actually pretty much different from those. He might come off as rude sometimes but it's not because he wants to; he's an introvert, it's difficult for him to say the things he wants to say or do the things he wants to do without overthinking. He might feel frustrated because he's not able to do so, and sometimes that leads him to do stuff he doesn't intend to do but he can't really clear up those misunderstandings because it's hard for him to talk about it and it's possible he thinks it's better if he just leaves it like that and doesn't make everything worse. And on top of that, whatever happened to him in middle school for sure affected him, and no, it's not fair to say that's cliché or stupid or repetitive. Noh Shinwoo is built like an actual person who can go through those situations, which could most likely affect a big part of your life, behaviour and personality. It's clear Shinwoo wants to be in a better place and that's why he's making an effort.
If some of you can't see his personality it's only because you don't want to. There's no way you can look at him and think he's only a love interest.
My point is, Shin Daon and Noh Shinwoo are both characters with personalities and lives that a lot of people in the real world have. I feel like that's what makes Light On Me different from most dramas with the same theme; it could've gone wrong with them but it didn't because they didn't write them as characters that are simply heroes or villains or whatever you want to call them. Their actions are not unjustified, they're not like that just because they want to. Just like real life, there are things that change you and build you as a person.
They're both good people with opposite personalities that are going through different situations and people can easily put themselves in their shoes. I'm sure the whole purpose is for us to see their journey towards a better path. Regardless of any romantic relationship, i think they're going to show how all of them have a big impact on each other; all the main characters are very different from each other but i honestly think that's the best part about it. They have the power to influence one another in a really good way and become happier and more free.

I'm so afraid that they're either going to make Daon be a dick to Taekyung because he's afraid or that they're going to try to pull a "Daon was a huge dick all along and he never liked Taekyung even as a friend" reveal ..... the stress is k*lling me *multitude of crying face emojis*
the first possibility has Always been my biggest fear and i can’t even fathom them going for the last one because it’s far too cruel.
i mean. as someone who’s read far too many shoujo mangas in life, i’ve always felt like this drama had a very similar structure to shoujo when it comes to the love triangle (maybe that’s just how kdramas usually work? i wouldn’t know tho i don’t watch that many).
which means that since the second episode i’ve known that they were going with “daon is taekyung’s first love but it won’t work out between them so either taekyung will end up with shinwoo or building up something towards that”. and 8 episodes later, i can still tell that that’s their intention and i’m fine with it. shinwoo isn’t really my type of character but for some reason i genuinely love him and i want him to be happy.
but the problem is: shoujo mangas Love throwing second male leads under the bus, so i’ve been Terrified that they would do that to daon. like. the chances were already high because he’s a people pleaser and now they’re adding this homophobia arc for him which, Of Course, would be too much for him.
daon needs a long vacation and therapy, not more stuff on his plate! but this is a drama after all, and it will get even more dramatic from now on.
why couldn’t taekyung just develop feelings for two guys all along? i really don’t want them to put all the blame of them not working out on daon, especially not because he’s afraid of coming out. that’s such a complex and individual experience, just because taekyung and shinwoo might be braver and/or okay with being out, that doesn’t make daon less valid?
daon isn’t a coward for being afraid of a homophobic society! and i will fight Anyone who says otherwise! if you don’t feel safe, you have NO obligations to come out! and implying that daon is a bad person because of that is just vile.
i’m not even going to consider the possibility of daon being a jerk all along because i don’t believe that and i don’t believe they would go that far just to ruin his character.
like, it’s okay to favor shinwoo if that’s what they want but PLEASE don’t sacrifice daon in order to do that. they’re both such good characters and they are friends, it’s just not fair you know?
*hug* stay strong, friend! ❤️💙

—are you shy? i’m shy when i can, if that makes any sense

Battle Royale is back! This time: who here does best at protecting or/and Defending their bois? Protecting their lovers from bad guys and also negative feelings? And contestants are:
Sun (GB) vs Tann
Jack vs. Phupha
Shao Fei vs. Tae Joo (Eyes Linger)
Kurosawa vs. Thun
Bbomb vs. Kongpob
Nubsib vs. Ram
DaOn vs. ShinWoo
Team vs. Kaeng
Fighter vs. Ae
Champ vs. Dew
Tangmo vs. Sarawat
Duean vs. Mork
HaoTing vs. Shi De
Tonhon vs. Na
Mark vs. Forth (2moons2)
Welcome back! It's been so long! Hoo boy, what a battle royale this will be. Also, all of these choices are cruel. Have you been studying my FMK anons for this?!?!
Sun (GB) vs Tann
This one is so mean. SO MEAN. But I'm going with Sun because he's literally going to get shot to protect Sky and he's not going to be able to make any plans about it. Plus, he's going to be protecting him from his anxiety about the sound of guns at the same time and next week is going to hurt SO BADLY.
Jack vs. Phupha
Another near-impossible one. But I'm giving this to Phupha. Because he does so much to protect Tian it's almost wild and Jack might protect Zhao Zi but he doesn't get the same chance to do so in the show.
Shao Fei vs. Tae Joo (Eyes Linger)
jgkldsfgk Whyyy. This is so hard. My life it is so challenging. But I think I'm gonna go with Tae Joo. It's hard because Shao Fei does get shot... but he gets shot by the person he's protecting?!? Unsure how well that counts. Tae Joo fights off an entire team of bodyguards just to get back to his boy's side for one night.
Kurosawa vs. Thun
Hmmm. Interesting. I'm gonna go with Thun. I dunno, honestly, these two didn't do a ton of protecting? Kurosawa's biggest protection of Adachi was just sad because it was not putting pressure on him and that made me sad. So Thun wins.
Bbomb vs. Kongpob
Bbomb. Look at that boy! Look at him! Watch him choke on water and repeatedly rescue/collect his drunk baby to bring him home. He's such a darling. I love him dearly. Kongbop does his best but, honestly, he pushes Arthit and sometimes Arthit needs protecting from him.
Nubsib vs. Ram
I just love Ram so much. And after Nubsib's big surprise was to put Gene in such an uncomfortable position and his unwillingness to hide their relationship.. I dunno how much he really protected Gene, tbh.
DaOn vs. ShinWoo
... Look, I love Daon deeply. I truly do. But he can't protect Taekyung. He doesn't protect him.
Team vs. Kaeng
I think it's Team. Kaeng needs protecting more than he does protect. I think Team would definitely protect Mon, though.
Fighter vs. Ae
I love Fighter. But Ae and his little bag win every time. The way he punches Trump? Absolutely amazing and iconic. He has to win. No one is more protected than Pete.
Champ vs. Dew
Okay. Honest statement? I barely remember either of these boys. I can't make this choice. I don't remember them.
Tangmo vs. Sarawat
No. Sorry, I haven't seen Great Men Academy and I don't actually think Sarawat did much protecting? I dunno, I barely remember 2gether tbh.
Duean vs. Mork
Mork is never allowed to win. Also, Mork has never protected Pi. Never. Not even once. He is the greatest danger to Pi in the entire show. At least Duean learns a lesson and does his best to actually helps Meen.
HaoTing vs. Shi De
MODC is not allowed to win against a show with a happy ending. Also, barely watched it. Shi De wins because he's Shi De and I love him deeply.
Tonhon vs. Na
Oooo. This is a very interesting one. Hmmm. How do I lean? I love my big dumb idiot and he's good at protect Chon, he really is. He's very good at it when he puts his teeny brains towards it.
Mark vs. Forth (2moons2)
I had to go with Forth. He's so protective of his baby. Seriously. He's such a protective boy. And Kit barely needs any protection, honestly, so Mark doesn't get a huge chance to protect him. They're too equal!

Chapter 54- Once again, Marie's clothes are atrocious.
Chapter 55 - 'The wounds are healing like a normal person's would'. Uh no?? For a normal person you'd need to treat and stitch up that shit, not leave them wide open as you poke at them.
Chapter 58 - Honestly you don't get to say that others take away lives so easily when you and everyone under you is also murder happy Rai. Like yeah there's nuance but it's still not as clear cut as you'd think.
Chapter 65 - It's hilarious how both Rai and Frankenstein suck at all sorts of games. Maybe that's the real reason they're bffs.
- Yuna,,, cutie,,,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
- You did your best M-24. It wasn't very good because you should have been distracting the infected not Jake, but you did your best.
- Never understood the whole being in pain thing from being flicked in the forehead like, how hard are they doing it?? I've been foing it to my sister my whole life and vice versa and neither of us have ever been in any pain.
Chapter 66 - They're posing while blocking the way of the kids sjksksks. Also you can obviously see that M-21 is turned away because he doesn't want to do this on a deeper note. Not that it matters because they're posing.
Tumblr media
- Marie is so smart I love her.
Chapter 76 - The kids are honestly so sweet.
- I do not like that Jake is taller than Rai. He himself is already too tall, and Jake's supposed to be taller??
Chapter 77 - They really had to get Marie's boobs into her death silhouette huh... ew.
Chapter 78 - Wow even Cloud wasn't strong enough to handle the experimentation. The Union is real hardcore.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chapter 79 - Tbh calling Marie and Jake the best of the best still makes sense even with all the stronger opponents considering that said stronger opponents are all in higher positions than them. Exception would be Cerberus who I'd say are more at an equal position and that's easily excused by saying they have more experience. Plus it was said by M-21 who knows jack shit and only got info from loudmouth Jake so obviously none of it is going to be accurate anyway.
Chapter 81 - Cutie 🥺
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chapter 82 - Huh, so vampires are category B in the Union for experimentation records. I'd say nobles but that's doubtful since they've only been able to replicate mind control and mutation through drinking blood. The latter only occurs in vampires since their blood bonds are corrupted.
Chapter 85 - This just reads like a creepypasta or scp lmao.
Chapter 87 - Rip Simon, I always liked him.
Chapter 88 - If Rai heard how much I mocked him he'd be shocked. Ofc he wouldn't hurt me since I haven't committed crimes but I bet he'd be hurt inside.
Chapter 89 - Even Crombel appears to think vampires and nobles are one and the same which is interesting. Maybe that means vampires, even though severely mutated through weakened blood bonds, have the same basic dna make up as nobles? Or I suppose they could have managed to get nobles to experiment on. Wouldn't be too hard to snatch a dead one from the Loyard massacre.
Chapter 90 - It wouldn't be strange if Raizel was under the impression that M-21 was actually a werewolf who was experimented on and this had his power trapped within him initially. After all, he has a werewolf heart and likely an aura somewhat similar to one in Raizel's eyes. Thus he could have easily thought that since he would never have met an actual werewolf who had been prevented from using their power and wouldn't know what their aura would be like. So human aura with faint werewolf traces? Must be a werewolf. It would be disproven quickly enough for the audience not to notice either too since Frankenstein does a checkup on him.
Chapter 91 - Raizel and Frankenstein going 'tf are you talking about' @ M-21,,, that's me at noblesse characters always.
- Idk where Frankenstein gets so much trust in Raizel's choices. The last group of people he hung out with was the traitors and as the name suggests, that didn't go well. But then again... the whole thing happened precisely because he didn't trust them enough to be their friends so I guess he's kinda right? In that if he doesn't trust ppl they'll definitely betray him compared to if he does trust them where even if he gets betrayed he'll know it's not his fault. Anyway that's irrelevant and the point is that Frankenstein has no reason to be so confident when Raizel's previous stray pets were the traitor nobles.
Chapter 92 - I guess Shinwoo doesn't like bananas if he keeps pawning his off to Rai.
- 5 hours to get to a place he's been before and should know the way to... Yeah no wonder mvp lord was always so fucking worried about him.
- Queen I know you think he's hot but you're gonna get brain damage. Also looking at the girl on the right there are definitely other foreigners in Ye Ran.
Tumblr media
- By my hcs this would be said by Urokai because think most human experimentation in the Union is stupid. Like experimentation to cure idk, cancer? Good. This shit? He hates it.
Tumblr media
Sidenotes - Tbh I've never really had the same complaints about the kids not being the main characters along with Rai and Frankenstein the way other people do. Like sure it would have been cool and I would have loved Shinwoo to be Union or werewolf related somehow but I always just found it hilarious how all expectations were subverted and it turned out they really just some normal kids TM. And it make sense! Sure they're special, for completely normal teenagers. Just let them chill and be teens instead of getting the trauma the rest of the household carries around like designer handbags. I say that but Shinwoo being Urokai's son is my canon lmao
- Good thing that the abandoned building didn't have automatic or rotating doors or else the kids would be super dead.

Background/Biography:
Park ‘Sin’ Shinwoo had never known who his birth parents were. He’d grown up in an orphanage and was adopted when he was in middle school. He was never given any background on who his parents were. Despite that, he’d always been a happy child. from a young age, he’d always been very honest. If he did something wrong, he owned up to it no matter the consequences. As he got older, he’d grown obsessed with wanting to be a police officer. He saw the officers as just and right. He wanted to help people and he’d seen a lot of crime around the city.
He spent his high school years in Chicago, learning the English language and learning about other cultures. After graduating, he went to Seoul National University and studied engineering. It was his senior year, when he met the woman who would change his life forever. A year into the relationship, they found themselves expecting a baby girl. Once Hyerim was born. Sin joined the police academy and while there, he became very good friends with a man by the name of Briar. They were partners when he first joined the force. He loved everything about being a cop. He was able to help others as well as keep the streets of Agdoeg clean of crime.
For years,he lived happily with his family. But one night changed it all. His fiancée had found herself in a tight jam and Sin didn’t want to see her put away so he made the whole situation disappear. He knew that it was wrong but he didn’t want to lose her. But one situation became two and then three and before he knew it, he’d become the type of cop that he despised. When he realized that she wasn’t going to choose him over her lifestyle, he left her. He still continues to take care of his daughter and from time to time, he finds himself falling into bed with his ex. He wants to cut things off but at the same time, he’s afraid to lose her completely.
INTERVIEW QUESTION (para sample): “Just run us through what happened that night”. - Officer
Sin sighed and shook his head. Are you actually questioning me, right now? Have I ever given you any reason not to trust my judgement?“ He asked, knowing that he had a clean record and very high praises during his career. “There was nothing to hold her with. Had we kept her detained, she could sue us. You and I both know that we don’t need that. So, I used my better judgement and I let her go. If there was anything against her, you know that she’d be in a cell, right now.” The other officer nodded and shooed him away. “Thanks, see you tomorrow.” He said as he excited the office, knowing he’d lied through his teeth.

Every Kdrama I’ve watched under the cut, to keep track and for recommendations.
Warning: Spoilers, few unpopular opinions ahead, please bear in mind: to each their own.
2009
·       You’re Beautiful – 16 amusing episodes (Finished)
o   Is the plot interesting? This was the era of female leads pretending to be male (Hana Kimi, Ouran etc), but I still loved it. We follow the story of the female lead (who was a Nun at the beginning) who pretended to be her twin brother and become a part of the country’s current hottest band because her twin had a cosmetic surgery mishap (lol). It’s mostly trying to fit in and try not to get exposed but of course our male lead discovered her true identity thus begin her suffering and second also knows but did not admit it thus begin his unrequited love and comic relief and best character in the series was left in the dark thus begin questioning his sexuality 7/10 o   Am I emotionally invested on the Main Leads? YES. Park Shin Hye is love and Jang Geun Seuk’s smile is freaking adorable. 9/10 o   Did I grew attached to the secondary characters? JEREMY AND SHINWOO AND JOLIE YES. 10/10 o   Are the OSTs compelling? MOST DEF. I fell in love with PSH’s “Lovely Day” and “ Without Words”, ANJELL’s “Still” and “Promise” though I prefer Lee Hong Ki’s version 8/10 o   Would you rewatch? I’ll definitely rewatch, I would love to compare my opinion back in my tween years and opinion now   o   Favorite Episode/Scenes: Episode 6 – Shin Woo and Mi Nam’s pseudo date (totally heartbreaking for tween me) Episode 11 – supermarket scene was the best, Episode 13 – Cooking scenes was hilarious, every scene with Jeremy, TAE KYUNG AND THE PIG o   Words Association: GO MI NAM, Pig-Rabbit, JOLIE!, Fly me to the moon, “hyung, vinegar?” o   Yes it has overused plots, common conflicts and family drama but the characters and their dynamics are truly worth watching this and if you need a good laugh (this drama has a looooot of funny scenes), this one is for you. 8/10
2011
·       Heartstrings – 15 forgotten episodes (Finished)
o   Is the plot interesting? It’s a college drama involving modern and traditional Korean music. I honest to God forgot the whole drama, I think there was rivalry between the main leads? 6/10 o   Am I emotionally invested on the Main Leads? Not sure, but if it’s Park Shin Hye, I guess so, sorry I’m shit at remembering this drama o   Did I grew attached to the secondary characters? I forgot so I guess not? o   Are the OSTs compelling? I am pretty sure it got an amazing Osts with having Park Shin Hye and CN Blue’s Yong Hwa but the only thing I remember was the song “Byeul” or Star and it was sung by the secondary character but it was really catchy o   Would you rewatch? Looks like I need to rewatch since I mostly forgot this drama o   Will rate once I have rewatched but if you shipped Yong Hwa and Park Shin Hye’s characters in You’re Beautiful, this one is for you.
Then after years of Jdramas, Anime, Mangas, YA books I returned to Kdramaland in…
2018
·       Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo – 16 charming episodes (Finished)
o   Is the plot interesting? College athletes’ coming of age drama, added a dash of love and friendship and dreams. Strong female lead and affectionate male lead, sign me the fuck up. 9/10 o   Am I emotionally invested on the Main Leads? I AM EMOTIONALLY INVESTED WITH THE LEADS PERSONAL AND LOVE LIVES. YES. 10/10 o   Did I grew attached to the secondary characters? YES EVEN THE CAMEOS (Hello Lee Jong Suk who I haven’t watched any of his drama yet at the time and Ji Soo) 10/10 o   Are the OSTs compelling? I downloaded 2 of their OSTs (You&I and Dreaming), it was the first Korean songs in my playlist 9/10 o   Would you rewatch? Absolutely o   Favorite Episode/Scenes: “BOK JOO, WATCH OUT!”, “YOU DIE, I WILL KILL YOU”, Snow kisses, the gang in the amusement park, THAT SCENE WITH JISOO AND JOO HYUK o   Word Association: SWAG, Messi, Chicken, Samgyupsal, WHAT, Chubs o   I totally recommend to everyone, it has a unique plot, still not over the main lead’s chemistry, you’ll fall in love with the whole story. 10/10
 ·       The Heirs – 20 clichéd episodes (Finished)
o   Is the plot interesting? It’s your typical rich man poor woman plot, high school setting oozing with alpha males and lots of trope scenes, if only female lead was also an heir or they develop more on her character it will be memorable, I can’t really differentiate with other dramas with the same plot – well except the male lead’s mother is not your typical mother who absolutely hates the female lead 3/10 o   Am I emotionally invested on the Main Leads? No, not really more on the secondary characters, both male and female leads are meh 2/10 o   Did I grew attached to the secondary characters? With the mute mother and FL’s bestfriend and his girlfriend yes, everyone else is forgettable 3/10 o   Are the OSTs compelling? I only remember “Love is a moment” because it was used by fanmade crack videos on youtube ahahaha 2/10 o   Would you rewatch? Probably no. o   I guess if you are a big fan of Boys Over Flowers and looking for the same genre this one’s for you, this did not really age well for me, probably would have loved this if I watched back when I was in highschool – reminds me of wattpad days. 3/10
 ·       W: Two Worlds – 16 enthralling episodes (Started 2018 Finished 2020)
o   Is the plot interesting? The plot is what compelled me to watch this drama, male lead is a webtoon character created by the female lead but made famous by her father. Male lead does not have your best childhood experiences but became really successful as an adult but there are mysterious instances that put his life on danger, the female lead (doctor) was drawn in on the comic and saved his life, unknowingly her actions changed the course of the story and it reflected on the comic in the real world – this was truly a good concept 9/10 because I actually forgot I started this drama last 2018 then rewatched and finished this 2020, I am still confused. o   Am I emotionally invested on the Main Leads? THE CHEMISTRY WAS ON THE ROOF ON THIS ONE. I DIDN’T EVEN CARE ABOUT THE OTHER CHARACTERS 10/10 o   Did I grew attached to the secondary characters? I was actually more focused on the main leads, did not exactly give much attention to other characters 3/10 o   Are the OSTs compelling? I only liked “Where are you” but it was sung by that guy who was jailed among other things so I don’t know how I feel now. Still the opening was lit o   Would you rewatch? Yes, I will try to fully understand what the mechanics or rules of being a webtoon character and being alive in the real world o   Favorite Episode/Scenes: KISS IN THE JAIL was the first thing that came to my mind, also real life scenes to comic scenes and vice versa- kudos to the artists, slap and kiss scene, the flashing scene, 4 romantic concepts scene, the adorable scenes recreating the illustration book, the transition when yeon Joo dropped her ring, the hospital bed scene o   Words Association: #4, handcuffs, all the winks, sudden “saranghaeyo”, ring, bus stop, “to be continued” o   This drama was amazing for the first 10 episodes then became complicated after, I loved the chemistry between the 2 main leads but unfortunately overpowered the whole story – don’t get me wrong I love love stories, but my reaction was the same as those who read the comics – too much cutesy stuff they forgot the storyline, I wanted them to explore the W show, but they focused on filling the plothole for the murderer which created more conflicts and confusing scenes. The line between the comic and real word created plot devices and more questions. This drama has flaws but cool premise though, I hate amnesia plot on any drama but it was well incorporated on this one. 8/10
·       Goblin – 16 amazing Episodes (Finished, rewatched 2020)
o   Is the plot interesting? A general in Goryeo dynasty got punished by the Gods to be immortal and his sword still in his chest only the Goblin bride can take it off so he can be at peace and die. Immortal lead with a side of grim reaper as best friend, charming female lead with a confident female boss – a story with reincarnation and ghosts, scenes that will tug your heart – yes, one of Kdrama Masterpiece 10/10 o   Am I emotionally invested on the Main Leads? At first no no with the age gap but yes, I say while crying o   Did I grew attached to the secondary characters? HELL TO THE YES, DEOK HWA, GRAMPS, SECRETARY KIM, HELLO CUTIE TAE HEE, SUNNY AND GRIM REAPER 10/10 o   Are the OSTs compelling? HAUNTINGLY BEAUTIFUL OSTS, particularly “Round and Round”, “I Miss You”, “Stay with Me” and even without lyrics I still worship “When the time stops” aka the music that speaks to your soul 10/10 o   Would you rewatch? YES ALREADY DID BRUH WILL DO AGAIN o   Favorite Episode/Scenes: Every bromance scene, I got hooked by the scene in the first ep where Eun Tak celebrated her birthday with her ghost mother, epic goblin and grim reaper modelling in the highway, everytime sunny flips her hair, grim reaper and his guests in the tea shop o   Word Association: Canada, sad love, candles, rain, chicken, tea, car crash *sorry not sorry* o   Totally recommended, well-deserved on its popularity. Will make you laugh and cry, at the same time. Acting skillz man. 10/10
 ·       Strong Woman Do Bong Soon – 16 whacky episodes (Finished)
o   Is the plot interesting? Female lead has super strength which was actually passed down to every woman born in her family, she wants to be a game developer but instead got hired as bodyguard of our male lead who is a ceo of a gaming company 8/10 o   Am I emotionally invested on the Main Leads? I remember that I did, I was? I need to rewatch haha o   Did I grew attached to the secondary characters? I remembered I did not like Ji soo’s character and don’t really remember other characters… o   Are the OSTs compelling? Can’t quite remember so I need to - o   Would you rewatch? Yeahp, will do o   I’ll do a rewatch before rating
I had a watch list back in 2018, but then I became busy with work and life until…
2020 (Details will be more longer since every Kdrama is still fresh on my mind)
·       My ID is Gangnam Beauty – 16 pretty episodes (Finished)
o   Is the plot interesting? Basically, female lead deems herself ugly and undergone a plastic surgery to fully change her face before attending the university – but a popular guy back in highschool (junior high?) was also attending the same uni and recognized her – it’s a mellow sort of drama tackling Korean beauty and it’s extent, still cute story tho 7/10 o   Am I emotionally invested on the Main Leads? We must protect Mi-rae at all cost, Cha Eun Woo’s character is a little bit emotionally constipated but Eun Woo is *swoon* 8/10 o   Did I grew attached to the secondary characters? I am all for Mi-rae’s family and childhood friend, Kyung Seok’s sister, Yoo eun was very notable as well, I love how her character is completely fair and understanding 7/10 o   Are the OSTs compelling? “D-day” and “True” is a bop to listen to, everytime I hear “Something” all I remember is Cha Eun Woo’s slow mo glance, other OST is a bop but not enough for me to put on my playlist 6/10 o   Would you rewatch? Probably but not right now o   Favorite Episode/Scenes: New face dance, bathroom scene with Kyung Seok beating the shit out of their senior, whenever Kyung Seok is annoyed with Soo-A but total heart eyes mode with Mi Rae, Cinema pseudo date – eating popcorn using straws, when he changed the color of his hair, Kyung Seok’s ID when he was a waiter, their high school date, and that last sweet scene in the final episode o   Word Association: gangnam, perfume, plastic, umbrella, soju o   I wasn’t planning on watching kdramas again after a long time but this quarantine just makes you do things and no regrets at all, MIIGB probably isn’t the best of the best but it definitely made me want to watch more kdramas and lo and behold more kdramas watched in a span of 2 months than in a year back in 2018. I love how it tackles on true beauty and female oppression and how idiotic alpha male trope is 7/10
 ·       While You Were Sleeping – 16 not enough episodes (Finished)
o   Is the plot interesting? A prosecutor, a reporter and a cop can see the future when they sleep, which helps them in solving cases and do their best to change it. Every case is fascinating makes you say “ohhhhh” when they present their defense and I am like *chef kiss* I love the premise and the supernatural part of the story. 10/10 o   Am I emotionally invested on the Main Leads? YES. JAE CHAN AND HONG JOO ARE ADORKABLE AND HAS INSANE VISUALS  10/10 o   Did I grew attached to the secondary characters? HAVE YOU MET JUNG HAE IN, THE PROSECUTOR TEAM WAS THE BEST. YES. EVEN THE SIDE CHARACTERS ON CASES AND THE VILLAINS 10/10 o   Are the OSTs compelling? I usually don’t hear the OSTs while focusing on a scene but boy oh boy, OSTs stole everything, I am obsessed with the whole album. The melody and tune is very captivating everytime you hear it you just want to embed it on your brain. If you are still having second thoughts watching this drama, listen to it’s OSTs the feels they give is the same feels when you watch 1000/10 o   Would you rewatch? I’ve watched it again after finishing it so yes, 100% yes, need more episodes still having withdrawal syndrome, still watching fanmade videos on youtube o   Favorite Episode/Scenes: Every episode lol, the opening sequence, the outro scenes in episode 2 and 3 (with that background music), everytime “It’s you”, “You belong to my world”, “When night falls” and “I love you boy” is the bg music, every Jae Chan and Hong Joo parallel (Episode 2 and 16 particularly), OT3 scenes, the shadow picture, KISS IN THE RAIN, IN THE SAKURA TREE AND THE ALMOST KISS IN THE CAR if I list down all of my fave, I will be writing the whole summary of each episode. Hmmm. o   Words Association: Snow hug, sakura kiss, batman and robin, scarf, JUST ICE, choir, seatbelt, samgyupsal, femme fatale, lip balm o   I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. ULTIMATE FAVE. I AM BIASED SHUTTUP. JUST WATCH. NONE CAN COMPARE. NUFF SAID. 100000/10 SOMEONE FANGIRL WITH ME
 ·       Pinocchio – 20 important episodes (Finished)
o   Is the plot interesting? This whole drama is about mass media and its major influence on anyone’s life and it is so powerful. We have a male lead whose family has experienced the impact of misguided news and it is painful to watch because this really happens irl at worse, this is due to a reporter which is our female lead’s mother. Now our female lead has Pinocchio Syndrome hence the drama title, she can’t help but hiccup when she lies, it’s very interesting to know why both leads wanted to be a reporter given their situation 10/10 o   Am I emotionally invested on the Main Leads? YES, I JUST WANNA HUG THEM. Imagine having a condition that forces you to tell the truth, you can’t keep your feelings, privacy or secrets at all and to add an indifferent mother who did not care for your dreams but more on publicity. Imagine having a dream and working hard to reach it but after college you fail every job interview and it’s so realistic I just ashfdsjfha (Except the Pinocchio syndrome part but come on) Imagine experiencing a childhood where you don’t know what happened to your firefighter father, is the news about him running away true because it was his fault all those other firefighters are dead? Imagine your brother doing his best to hold your family together because your mother is on the verge of nervous breakdown to the point of pushing her to choose death, pulling you to a hug and just jump? Imagine this male lead fighting every chance to not love this girl who is the daughter of the reason why his family is gone now and could not leave her because she is also the reason why he decided to fight for the injustice done to his family and to others victims of fake news and they are so supportive of each other. It freaking hurts and I’m sorry I just have a lot of emotions for these two 1000000/10 o   Did I grew attached to the secondary characters? YEEEEES, GRANDPA AND FATHER, I LOVE THEIR FAMILY DYNAMICS SO MUCH WHEN GRANDPA CRIED I CRIED! EVEN JA MYUNG HYUNG who has not enough episode in THEY DESERVE TO BE TOGETHER NOT JUST FOR ONE EPISODE. EVEN BEOM JU, YOO RAE, NITPICKER JANG, CAPTAIN, BOTH CAPTAINS ACTUALLY, CHAN SOO AND HIS FAMILY EVEN I LOVE TO HATE THE VILLAINS 100/10 o   Are the OSTs compelling? I was too focused on the intensity of the story but I do love the bg music –“First Love”, “The Only Person”, “Pinocchio” are few notable OSTs 8/10 o   Would you rewatch? YES FREAKING YES, I REWATCHED AFTER WATCHING IT o   Favorite Episode/Scenes: Episode 16 as a whole, because main lead conflict with each other was resolved and that dinner scene is one I always rewatch, of course episode 1 introduction for Dal Po is freaking hilarious, Episode 2’s “Because I like you” damn feels, snow kiss, all the grandpa scenes and brother scenes, that scene when In ha remembered being drunk, that scene where Dal Po meets his brother again and I just ahjasgdjhsdgf, the intense debate and paralleling it in the seminar, the Christmas episode pyung pyung pyung my heart huhu o   Word Association: Six Degrees Separation, rumor, button, MSC/YGN News, traffic cones, hiccups, piggy banks, text messages, family o   EVERYONE SHOULD WATCH THIS. I LOVE EVERY PART. IT WAS ON MY WATCHLIST LAST 2018 WHY DID I NOT WATCHED IT THEN. THE ACTING THOUGH YOU JUST FEEL THEIR INTENSE EMOTIONS THROUGH THE SCREEN. FEELS EVERYWHERE. 100000/10
 ·       Romance Is A Bonus Book – 16 heartwarming episodes (Finished)
o   Is the plot interesting? It’s about romance and books! Lee Jong Suk is on it what more can you ask for? Kidding aside it tells a story of a 30 something mother who to go back to work after 12 years which left a huge gap on her resume, she also got recently divorced and experiencing the repercussion of that, all of the job she applied for has focused on her work gap instead of her skills (which by the way as an HR a very hard truth). She applied as a support role on a publishing company and got hired but by omitting a lot of things on her resume. Oh and her childhood friend, our male lead is actually a co-owner and editor of the company. And he is also in love with her since high school. 9/10 but the fluffiness of the whole series is worth 10/10 o   Am I emotionally invested on the Main Leads? YES, Dan-I is totally relatable and Eun Ho is lovable. I love their relationship so much they are each other’s home. 10/10 o   Did I grew attached to the secondary characters? With Hae-rin (COME OOON UNREQUITED LOVE AGAIN WITH LJS CHARACTER?), Seo Joon, President Kim, Manager Seo, and our very own Gangnam Leopard YES. Others not so much. 8/10 o   Are the OSTs compelling? The OSTs are feel good, the kind of playlist you want to hear when you read or travelling, point to “Rainbow”, “Walking on Sunshine”, “Happy End”also the heart churning feels when “You’re Beautiful” and “ A Story I couldn’t see” begins playing in the bg 10/10 o   Would you rewatch? YES over and over and over again o   Favorite Episode/Scenes: The first episode with the wedding visuals, so aesthetic with the running in the highway, the power dance was so out of place but it was adorable, the scene where Dan-I reminisce her married life and it just breaks your heart, the essay part of her application is just motivating and sad, WHEN EUN HO WAS DRUNK AND WENT TO DAN-I’s PLACE BECAUSE HE ALWAYS GO THERE WHEN HE MISSES HER AND I JUST AHGSHJAGDKJGHJ, “If that’s love, I love her then”, GANGNAM LEOPARD CLUB SCENE, the subtle Snow confession (what’s with LJS and Snow???) the long brown overcoats comes out I’m there, when Eun Ho rejected Hae Rin so nicely I cry, movie date, the day Dan-I and Eun Ho spent together at their house, all the book pages at the end of each episode o   Words Association: THE MOON IS BEAUTIFUL, noona, power pose, love letters, books, seasons change, cucumber allergy, April 23 o   This drama is literally a warm blanket on a rainy day. Recommended if you want a pure love story with almost no conflict and mellow storyline – just the thought of finding love and home in the same person is truly heartwarming. For aspiring writers and book lovers! Love the quotable quotes in it and the warm feels it gives 10/10
 ·       Extraordinary You – 16 extraordinary episodes (Finished)
o   Is the plot interesting? We follow the story of the extras in a comic book. Get it? EXTRAordinary you, haha okaaaay, anyway, its fictional characters becoming aware that they are fictional characters and trying to change their fates, having a life of their own outside the “stage” and all around creating chaos – breaking the 4th wall if you will. We have your cliché high school filled with rich kids and an elite group called A3 (which was funny bc it was almost mocking F4), then we have the female lead who thought she was the main character of the story but was only the love bridge extra for the main characters. And our beautiful male lead who does not even have a name. Very attention-grabbing 10/10 also just found out the drama was based on a webtoon, so it’s a webtoon inside a webtoon nice. o   Am I emotionally invested on the Main Leads? Dan-Oh is a fun character to watch, her range of emotions and the way she acts in and out of the stage deserves a standing ovation, I don’t mind Ro Woon’s visual too haha 9/10 o   Did I grew attached to the secondary characters? Yes to Lee Do Hwa (Because violin playing cutiepie), Joo Da (girl became aware and finally got claws at the end) and Dried Squid Fairy and Su Hyang (because their history is interesting) , not really into Bae Kyung or Nam Joo (who was 2dimensional character until the end) 8/10 o   Are the OSTs compelling? I loved all the instrumental background music especially “Highschool Runway”, Also “My Beauty” which was very kdrama-esque ending song 7/10 o   Would you rewatch? BIG YES o   Favorite Episode/Scenes: Every Dan-Oh and Do Hwa’s internal monologue and their bromance, every time Dan Oh breaks character but the page flips, every time she curse and criticize the writer, checking the male population’s back, when Dan-oh opened the umbrella and we got to see Haru’s face *dokidoki*, every reaction when they transition from stage to shadow, I mean kudos to Kim Hye Yoon’s acting from crying to laughing then from head over heels over Bae Kyung then cringing at herself , “It’s Bae Kyung Time”, the scene where Haru and Dan-oh was holding hands and here comes third wheel Do Hwa the way they reacted with Dan Oh’s “Annyeong Lee Do Hwa” made me rofl o   Word Association: AYUUU JINJJA, HARUYAAAAA, stage, shadow, page flips, October 10, secret, flower o   I love the concept and how it felt like writing fanfiction, you put your favorite characters in alternative universes or different setting and watch them fall in love all over again – in this case destiny also plays a huge part since the writer continuously separate them but they still fall in love with each other outside the stage. It’s fun to see the other side or the fillers whenever characters are not on acting on stage, they have more character depth and development. I definitely love the Sageuk and College AU part. 9/10
 ·       Graceful Family – 16 wild episodes (Finished)
o   Is the plot interesting? It’s a drama full of Makjang so we are riding on a rollercoaster ride, I am here for all of it gimme gimme that outrageous plot with a dash of crazy family on the side and a group of people who cleans up their messes 9/10 o   Am I emotionally invested on the Main Leads? SEOK HEE IS THE BEST FEMALE LEAD YET FREAKING BADASS BITCH QUEEN. Yoon Do is okay but really overpowered by Seok Hee’s strong personality 10/10 for Seok Hee o   Did I grew attached to the secondary characters? I am very interested in Ms. Han and the Top Team’s deal unfortunately it was not addressed further in the series, wouldn/t mind a mini sequel with them as the main characters, Choi Na Ri and Seo Jin is loooove, and I love Wan Soo with all my heart even after everything that happened 9/10 o   Are the OSTs compelling? “Liar” is on my playlist solely for me to feel as badass as Seok Hee and “Black Diamond” because it plays with your emotions 8/10 o   Would you rewatch? Solely for all the WTF moments o   Favorite Episode/Scenes: ALL THE DINING TABLE SCENES, opening scene in the first episode got me hooked, all Seok Hee scenes made me stay, Wan Soo’s hilarious scenes, that whole hanbok shop scene, whole jail fiasco, when Seok Hee fights head to head with TOP management, PICASSO’S FUNERAL SCENE, Episode 9 when Choi Na Ri moved in, episode 15’s biggest plot twist, Episode 16 and it’s whole 1 hour and 45 minutes of drama o   Word Association: Home sweet home, Cannes, Picasso, power vacuum, kingmaker, Auntie o   It has a lot of flaws, plotholes and characters you wished was fleshed out but man what an exhilarating ride it was. I love all the dirty secrets in the closets and plot twists (won’t spoil just watch it!) but Seok Hee is definitely the show stealer for me. Soo Hyang’s character here is starkly different with her character in My ID is Gangnam Beauty and it’s really amazing. 9/10
 ·       Hi, Bye Mama – 16 heartbreaking episodes (Finished)
o   Is the plot interesting? This is all about mother’s love and the life she left behind. Our female lead died in an accident and has been a ghost for five years watching over her family especially her daughter, she watched how her family moved on – her husband remarried and her daughter grew up with a different mother. The Gods has given her a chance to live again if she gets back her place within 49 days – this means she get the chance to become human again and finally meet her daughter. 9/10 o   Am I emotionally invested on the Main Leads? I AM EMOTIONALLY INVESTED IN ALL OF THEM. 10/10 o   Did I grew attached to the secondary characters? SEO WOO YAAAAAA, Min Jung, her whole family and best friends even the other ghosts and their painful stories YES. 10/10 o   Are the OSTs compelling? I was busy crying and could not really hear the bg music because all I hear is my heart breaking a million times. But “Happy” made me happy and sad at the same time and the haunting “Same Town, New Story” instrumental is love o   Would you rewatch? I am not sure if I’m ready to cry again o   Favorite Episode/Scenes: whole episode 8 is where I broke down crying – I know this whole series is about mother’s and their unconditional love but episode 8 showed fathers and their incomparable love to their daughters and I just asjhdajksd the epilogue in this episode just made me cry nonstop – I am actually crying just remembering that scene, every epilogue will make you ugly cry, every time Seo Woo smiles, Episode 11 and that epic showdown in Kid’s café, when Yu Ri became human again and how happy she was she can hold Seo Woo, every scene with her and Seo Woo bonding, Gang Hwa and the egg,  the list of things she wants to do, when Seo Woo finally called her MAMA o   Words Association: mother, stepmom, ghosts,  “I am happy”, shaman, egg, 49 days o   I am emotionally exhausted watching this show, I cried on every episode, this definitely hurt me in every way possible. Highly recommended if you want a good long nonstop cry 10/10
Dramas I did not completely watched sans a few episodes, finished by skipping scenes or reading drama reviews. Warning: total unpopular opinions
2009
·       Boys Over Flowers – we all know Hana Yori Dango is superior, I just got bored of recycled scenes and I really don’t like LMH here, sorry
2018
·       Scarlet Heart Ryeo - Plot is very interesting but Sageuk dramas are not my cup of tea, reminds me of Fushigi Yuugi which I hated when I was a kid dunno why haha, will look for my motivation to watch the whole drama ·       Oh My Ghostess – got spoiled, skipped and just read episode summary
2020
·       Hello Monster – did not even finish 1st episode, skipped through episode 2 -3, too many plot holes, just read last episode spoilers ·       Hotel De Luna – finished 7 episodes got distracted by work and life. Plotline is interesting and characters look promising, will rewatch but I already know the spoilers and ending ·       School 2013 – just read the dramabeans episode reviews, may watch but reminds me of Gokusen concept (which I do love but very repetitive) so may not ·       Suspicious Partner – I liked the plot but unfortunately did not care too much on the main mystery of the whole show which was who the actual murderer is, did not like the shared childhood trauma, but acting still was good, its just the storyline ·       Doctor Stranger – I seriously would have loved to finish this because LJS’s acting skills on point (how can he be that seriously angry in North Korea then be clumsy adorkable in South? Howww) but alas, the female lead storyline is cringy I stopped at episode 6, read reviews and it would have been 20 wasted episodes for me ·       What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim – full of stereotypical tropes I could not finish, too romcom for me and could not invest too much about their history
Watchlist (2020)
·       Hospital Playlist ·       Crash Landing On You ·       Kill Me, Heal Me ·       I Am Not A Robot ·       Sky Castle ·      Love Alarm
Hit me up with your recommendations, better yet your favorite kdrama and reasons why it’s your fave!

WM better promote shinwoo, sandeul and gongchan well, they will need so much cheer up and support, i really wanted to find words for what is going on but i really can’t... it’s hurting so much, i feel bad for being so egoist wanting them to keep together as ot5, baro and jinyoung decieded to follow other path and i should be happy for them but now is so hard to do that, anyways i wish them the best and all the happiness, i wished they continue as 5 but... this is what I get for trying to be positive for once. I don’t think the time will help me.. it will be just more painful. Don’t confuse my words.. I will still love them each of them, I don’t even blame them ok I'm aware about how the guys are feeling rn too... is only me being egoist, i’m so sorry...  I’m gonna love them forever, they will always be my inspiration and motivation in life and nothing can change that. I will always love b1a4 as shinwoo, jinyoung, sandeul, baro and gongchan. Big hugs and lots of love sent to you bana, you are the most lovely and beautiful fandom i’m in. Let's stay togehter for our boys.

ok~ since I don't really have anything to add to your contract post (as always, I agree 100% with what you said) and I don't really like talking about serious stuff (i'm always emo, but for some reason when i say it out loud my sarcastic ass always make it sound like idk about anything even though i'm LEGIT crying when I'm alone in my room or in the bathroom at work god) I was just thinking I could name a couple of random things I just thought about, just to share the love and lift the mood(1/5)
since the break up I couldn’t really listen to their songs without feeling sad so I just didn’t (that was like, what?, 6 months without hearing b1a4), but yesterday I finally had the courage and I’m so happy that I did. before I knew it “because of you” came on and man do I love that song like shinwoo rapping and voice is so on point and everyone sounds so lovely and urghh I was singing along and smiling, and since we are talking about great songs can we talk about the best EP to ever exist(2/5)I’m talking about what’s happening of course, I was going to mention starlight song, but who am I kidding I could talk hours about good love too???? it’s such a good song??? gongchan singing the first lines is pure art. Also I was reading your cnu megapost and you said that you didn’t fall for him right away, and it’s funny cause that’s the mv that did it for me lmao the absurdity of that video, how freaking CUTE they looked, gongchan little curls so adorable, baro and deul being extremely (3/5)funny, jinyoung being awkward ofc and, probably what started my love/want to punch you story with him, that freaking scene with him smiling in prison, like dude seriously? I’M WEAK his perfect little face drives me mad. and lastly, but not least, the long hair styled like that (I really liked those braids i’m sorry lol), the glasses, those playful winks and lip bites.. his beautiful smile idk more than anything else I just found his face really attractive? and while I’ll forever treasure (4/5)and miss those times, I’m ready for new and better things. I guess at the end of the day, I just want shinchandeul to be happy, to remember the past with love like we do but also know that sometimes things don’t go how we plan them and that’s life, we can get mad and cry, but we need to get up again. they will always have our support, i believe in them (that’s it, play road, suddenly i’m an emotional mess again) god this ended up being extra long im so sorry i just got so excited (5/5)
me reading your asks:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the biggest YES ever to all of this, bless you for spreading some much needed positivity and good vibes~
And I literally agree with everything you say here like I’m not even kidding ‘Because of You’ for the longest time was one of my favorite b-sides (I mean it still is one of my faves) and CNU’s rap is so cute and charming in it. Totally underrated everyone should experience how sweet that song is.
And ‘What’s Happening?’ EP?? Literally the best, most cohesive EP they have. It’s always been in my top three albums, sometimes trading places with ‘Good Timing’ album for 2nd place. AND DON’T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON ‘GOOD LOVE’ OH SHIT THOSE TRUMPETS AND SYNTHS GET ME EVERY TIME. Admittedly, I’m partial to ‘How Many Times’ though myself, I think that’s my fave b-side on the EP. I mean ‘Starlight’s Song’ speaks for itself though, literally one of their prettiest tracks. That shit’s just fukin gorgeous and luckily (and unlike ‘Good Love’ and ‘How Many Times’) I feel like ‘Starlight’s Song’ is at least more known and appreciated. Damn that mini was just… gold. I mean ‘What’s Happening’ is and will always be my favorite era so I cannot say a single bad thing about it. There was just so much… good energy and good vibes. So much growth. Ah I gotta stop or I’m going to get emotional now ;;;;
Yeah like while ‘Beautiful Target’ made me fall for them as a group (largely cause of the reasons you listed and lmaoo totally agree about Jinyoung even then with that swarmy smile that was both so handsome yet infuriatingggg) CNU def didn’t grab my attention initially with that MV…. it’s so strange cause you’d think I’d remember the exact moment where it finally clicked and I was like ok I love him he’s my bias but I don’t really… all I know is that it didn’t take too much longer lol by the time 2012 rolled around I was already pretty smitten… *sighs*
Same as far as A3 too… in a perfect world, I just want them to be able to look back fondly on their days as five, as rookies and trainees up until their 7th year anniversary as wonderful times of growth and development, along with friendships that they formed that will never be replaced or forgotten– but in the same vain, I want them to be able to cleanly move forward with no regrets as three, and follow the new paths that they want, knowing that us fans will always be there supporting them~
Thanks so much for reading my contract megapost, and for sharing your thoughts here! I’m glad you’re back (and able to listen to Bipo again~), I missed talking to you!! ♡ ♡

Noblesse Pokémon AU: Battling For Dear Life (part 2)
Previous Fic
Finally. Those kids had left. Frankenstein sighed, and got to the task of cleaning up, Gardevoir offering some psychic assistance for crumbs and Giratina using its dark tentacles to pick up some of the larger pieces of trash. He smiled at them, grateful. The kids always made such a mess, but Master enjoyed their company, so he supposed he could tolerate it. Especially when he had such helpful Pokémon to make sure he didn’t have to do all the work.
After the three had finished cleaning, and he’d sat down for late night tea with Master, his phone began to ring. At this hour? Looking at it revealed the caller as Shinwoo. He hadn’t been gone for more than twenty minutes. He didn’t see anything they could have left when he was tidying up. He’d have set it aside if he did. So why? The only way to find up was to answer, so… “Professor Lee speaking.”
“Rai~! We haven’t seen you for a while. The three of us are here together, and we all miss you so much.” What? “You have to come. We will be waiting.” Wait. What was Shinwoo doing? “Yea, come over. We’re here at…” That location. The one where he’d fought that man? Before the woman interfered? That was…off.
“Master, we need to go now.” He’d brief him on the way there. There might not be enough time, otherwise. Master didn’t waste any time, elegantly standing and walking to the door, completely trusting in his servant’s judgement.
The two were soaring through the air, jumping rooftop to rooftop when he found the words to explain. “The call from Shinwoo didn’t sound right.” To elaborate his point, he replayed the conversation through the bond.
“They were with us a while ago, he shouldn’t have talked like that.” Unless they got just got lonely that quickly, but in less than twenty minutes? That was extravagantly fast by anyone’s standards, “And talking to me on the phone as if he’s talking to you, master….” That was the real clencher there. Shinwoo knew damn well whose phone he’d have to call to get in contact with Master, and you didn’t just talk to the chairman of your high school like that, regardless of how close your relationship was.
“I think they are in danger.” Master’s expression, normally placid, took a hard edge at the idea. He sped up, making it hard for Frankenstein to catch up. “Ah! Master! You don’t know the direction we need to go!”
They were approaching the location, two figures fighting on a rooftop blurrily visible when a voice rang out. “…Not just subjects you guys can use and get rid of!” M-21’s impassioned cry filled the ears of the fast approaching Frankenstein and his master.
The blue haired woman across from M-21 stared down at the floor. She calmly stated, “No. You are our consumables. You are failures that we can use and throw away any time we want.” Her voice was…off. Like a child repeating a phrase they’d been taught as truth. M-21 was shocked into silence. He’d known how the Union viewed him, but to hear it spoken aloud so matter of fact….
“What?” She was joking, right? “I don’t…” he landed with a flourish, before finishing his sentence, “like how that sounds….” That tired Union party line. It was the same excuse they’d given for abandoning Dark Spear. They were just as upset at hearing it again as he was.
A Liepard came from the shadows to circle around the woman’s legs, rubbing against them. “What is that man doing here? Does it have something to do with the kids here?” Well, she’d never know that. If it became common knowledge that he owned a school…he shuddered to think of the consequences. Normal humans had a much greater chance of survival against a power user if they had a Pokémon, but most of his students just had starters, hardly any more threatening than the children themselves. From his previous encounter with her, he wasn’t entirely sure he could take her himself. Not without breaking the seal on his powers, at any rate. Then she’d be gone, no challenge at all. But where was the fun in that?
“Listen. The organization’s facility is at the basement here. The kids are in danger.” Oh? Well that was useful information. He’d almost missed the grey-haired man talking to them. What was with the determined look on his face when he was so beat up? “I’ll stop her. You two get down there.”
Honestly. “You can’t fight her on your own.” At all. The amount of time he’d buy them blocking her here wasn’t even worth mentioning.
“That’s funny, M-21. You didn’t come to your senses?” She smiled coldly, the kind of cruel amusement from watching an insect struggle written across every pore. “You think a failed subject like you can stop me? Not even for a minute.” Well, she wasn’t wrong, but the haughty superiority she exuded with each word made Frankenstein want to tear her apart even more than he already did. He really hated attitudes like that.
“This situation tells me that you know these two. Now I understand why you interfered whenever we tried to kill the kids.” M-21 didn’t answer her, so she continued on anyway. “You’re pathetic to trust them and plan this. If you thought they could fight me, you’re a fool.” Heh, please. Master would kill her before she could blink if he chose. Hopefully he’d leave it to him though. He didn’t want his master using his power for someone as insignificant as this.
M-21 growled in frustration. “There’s no time for this. I don’t know if the kids are alive. I think my colleague is blocking Jake, but…” M-21 swallowed the lump in his throat before continuing. “Help my colleague. Please.”
A moment of silence passed before Master spoke. “Frankenstein.”
“Yes.” He was listening. Master’s orders were absolute, and he was ever eager to fulfill them.
“I’m going in.” Not ‘let’s go’. So, he was going in alone.
“Yes, sir.” He wasn’t particularly happy with the idea that Master might have to fight, but it was his decision. This was the more efficient route anyway. He’d just wrap things up as quickly as he could here and join him after.
Master turned to M-21. “Lead the way.” The grey-haired man froze in place, probably in shock. Come on, we don’t have time for this nonsense. “You said we don’t have time.”
Still, the man turned to ask Frankenstein, “You really okay?” He nodded in response. Honestly. What was it going to take for this guy to just go? “This way” Master followed M-21 without another word.
“You can’t get away like that.” The woman moved to block them. In a split second, Frankenstein was in her way.
“I guess I’m your match.” With a glare, the woman drew back just enough to unleash a spin attack using her nails as weapons. Frankenstein dodged with ease. “You’re not as good as you said you were.” A smug expression graces his features in the face of her incredulous one.
She pulled back a bit, and the Liepard rushed him, leaping and landing a sucker punch to his abdomen before he could start in on his counterattack. Frankenstein staggered back a bit. An unexpected blow to the right spot could still wind anyone, even a noble, and in some cases, werewolves. He’d seen it happen before, been the one to deal such blows. He enjoyed doing so. Being on the receiving end…it was unpleasant.
After a cough and a deep breath, he grinned. “So that’s how you want to play.” Oh. This would be fun. He didn’t get to have real Pokémon battles often. What was once just another tool and aspect of war was now simple sport, like so many other things. Which ones did he have on him though? Most of them were back at home, enjoying some free time outside of their balls.
He reached for his belt, running his fingertips across the embossed seals he’d used to decorate their Pokéballs. He’d brought two with him then, good. Hmm…Shuckle? No, this was a rescue mission, not a siege. The other one? Oh. His smirk turned absolutely devilish.
He drew the ball from its resting place on his belt and threw it with a flourish. It stopped in midair, releasing its contents, along with a shower of holographic confetti and fireworks, before returning to his hand like he’d thrown a boomerang. Those seals were a worthwhile investment. Anything worth doing was worth doing with style. Judging by miss blue hair’s disgusted look though, she disagreed. Ah, well.
“Really? You’re going to fight me with a steak?” That tended to be most people’s response to this situation. There weren’t many who used this Pokémon in battle. Save that one Osakan Gym Leader.
“No. I’m fighting you with the whole damn cow.” Frankenstein quirked an eyebrow. Oh, he could not wait to curb-stomp this bitch. “Miltank? Double team.” The bovine before him began moving at a pace far too fast for ordinary humans to see, leaving after images as doppelgangers to confuse opponents. “You know what to do after that.”
The Liepard went in for a Night Slash on the Miltank at the same moment the woman moved to attack Frankenstein, both missing again and again, before Frankenstein released an attack of his own, dark whip-like energy encircling the woman’s right arm and slicing it from wrist to shoulder, drawing a grunt of pain from her.
“You’re good, I’ll give you that.” Oh, he was more than good. She wouldn’t realize that until it was too late though. Pity, that. “You’re not like anyone I’ve dealt with.”
Her flesh began to bubble a bit, arms growing spikes of bone before the spikes and her arms turned carbon black, veins of phosphorescent blue tracing from her newly formed claws all the way up to where her flesh returned to normal at her shoulders. That’s…he’d made notes about that once. A way to copy werewolf abilities. So, that human supremacy organization had managed to make something of that data. He could have sworn it was part of what he’d taken with him to keep them from abusing it though. Part of the same journal he’d recorded his theories about soul weapons in. Her arm appeared healed however, so maybe not?
“It’s been a while since I’ve met someone that made me transform.” A haughty, superior smile crossed her face. “It’ll be different from now.” So he couldn’t keep an eye on Miltank and Liepard’s fight anymore. That was fine. Miltank could handle herself.
With a glare, she ran at him, dealing a blow that cracked the concrete even as Frankenstein dodged. Without missing a beat she reached his landing spot and attacked again. The blond man only barely dodged with a tilt of his head. “What’s wrong? Where’s all the confidence you had?” The woman’s lilted voice oozed amusement. “You’re not smiling anymore.”
Her speed and power were greatly enhanced after she’d transformed. It wasn’t easy to modify someone like that. Humans had come this far? Not just mimicking some of the werewolves’ physical attributes, but boosting abilities to this degree? This could be troublesome.
 Frankenstein.
Master?
I allow you to break the seal keeping your power repressed. Oh? He’d not let him lift the seal once since it was first applied. Master must be highly displeased by whatever was going on down below.
I, your master, Cadis Etrama di Raizel order you to destroy the enemy that stands in front of you.
“Yes, Master.” His aura began to swirl like a breeze around him. “Break…the seal.” With each word, a dark power leaked, invading his aura in ever growing spikes. The woman before him cringed, looking to her arm, the wounds reacting to his power and aching in response. “What’s wrong? Your arm didn’t heal?” Oh? So it was based on his research.
“I doubted you at first, but now I can tell from your response. Want to know why?” He couldn’t wait to see her expression. “Everything about you guys. It all started from me.” They had to still be using his research as the base. He’d made sure to warp it so everything made from it would be weak to his attacks. Dark Spear tended to cling inside of wounds anyway, feeding on the bits of soul carried in blood, but it was so much worse for those enhanced by copying his techniques, slowing their healing factors until they were the same as an ordinary human’s.
“What?” The woman was dumbfounded. Poor thing, it can’t be easy knowing you’re face to face with the father of human enhancement, the original and best enhanced human in existence. “What…do you mean?”
“I was allowed to break the seal on my power by Master, so I became a little emotional.” He couldn’t help it, really. No one had truly known of his brilliance in centuries. But saying anything more risked that damnable organization hunting him again. “That’s it.” Still. This wouldn’t last much longer. The first fight he’d had in a long while, and it was ending in the blink of an eye. How boring. “This is annoying.”
He raised a hand in the air, focusing the energy into spears before directing them at the woman faster than she could blink. They fatally impaled her where she stood. Or…they should have. It seems the spear he sent towards her heart missed, just a bit. Even so, she was unconscious, and should be dead soon without aid. But…it was best to finish her off. Just in case.
Within a few steps towards her, the Liepard blocked his movement to protect her, hissing and growling at him. The large cat was covered in blood, jaw dislocated, several bones broken and hoof prints from his Miltank scattered across the creature’s back like its spots. How had it even gotten here from the fight with his Miltank, damaged as it was?
Where was his Miltank? Oh. She was walking over, presumably to finish off the cat like he was the woman. A tyrant his Blissey may be, but she had nothing on his Miltank’s casual sadism. Miltank enjoyed toying with her ‘prey’. A strange mindset for an herbivorous Pokémon, but that was the very reason he kept her. Better she be with him than a danger to others.
He recalled her to her ball. The Liepard was damaged enough, and Miltank would only drag its death out more than she already had. He went to approach again, but the Liepard lashed out with a swipe of its paw, its growling growing louder in response. This was…protective behavior? Last he’d heard, the organization harshly abused the Pokémon it captured, subjecting them to forced evolution, behavioral adjustment experiments, even attempted hybridization. But these…these were not actions of an abused Pokémon. There was no cowering, no aggression, beyond what it was doing to him, a perceived threat to it and its trainer.
Was this woman actually a good trainer? For a Pokémon to show such loyalty to someone like her. And this wasn’t just any household pet. Dark types were notoriously picky when it came to their trainers. They had to be, when they had such a bad reputation. Bad omens, born evil they were called. It didn’t help that they were known to kill their trainers. It only happened when they were mistreated, but most people just looked at the typing and figured it was part of their nature. Rather than the truth, that Pokémon, regardless of type, were just as varied in personality and motivation as people. And just like people, most were only trying to live their lives, and had no particular desire to cause harm.
How to handle this though? Master had ordered him to destroy her, but this was an interesting development he wanted to observe more. He could take them both back home. Heal them. Destroying her current self would be fulfilling Master’s order, right? He crouched where he was, speaking softly, placatingly, to the Liepard.
“I can save her.” The Liepard sat, glaring unbelievingly, but listening all the same. “Neither of you ever have to go back to the place you came from, either. I’ll make sure of it. But if you don’t let me treat her wounds, she’ll die.” And likely so would the Liepard, but it was far easier to treat Pokémon wounds that it was humans.
The Liepard nodded, slowly moving out of the way, allowing him passage. Frankenstein grabbed the white Pokéball off her belt, recalling the Leipard into it before placing it into an empty slot on his own belt. It’d be in stasis within the ball, so time would no longer be a factor for treating its injuries. Now for her injuries. Hmm.
They were serious, but if he bound the wounds, it would increase the amount of time he had to treat her exponentially, so he could just use the lab at his home to do so. He’d be able to just carry her with him while he aided Master without too much trouble. But he hadn’t carried any medical tools with him…an oversight on his part when he expected to be treating severely injured children. Ripping strips of fabric off his suit jacket, he sighed.
“This is the second jacket this group has ruined.” They really had no respect for the effort he went through to look nice for a fight.
I’ve gained quite the liking for Mari lately, so she’s living in this AU.
