You don’t understand I need Sanemi being scared shitless of Genya’s boyfriends because they saw him yell at Genya exactly one (1) time and got whooped Nezuko vs Daki style
Sanemi: God you’re so useless, you might as well just disappear!
Genya: *starts tearing up*
Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu appearing behind Sanemi: …
Sanemi: *sweating* I’ve made a grave error

(And now I fight I've promised one of my friends for a while.)
KAITO YAMAMOTO VS HERO KILLER STAIN
HERO OR VILLAIN HUMAN OR DEMON WE'LL SLAY THE FILTH!
Chizome Akaguro aka Hero Killer Stain info:
Height: 6 foot
Weight: 159lbs
Weapons: Worn Katana, Daggers, Throwing Knives, glider, Blood Curdle Quirk
Strengths: Easily one of the most feared characters in the My Hero Academia franchise (Possibly more so than even All for One), Superhuman strength (Easily overpowered Deku, Todoroki and Iida at the same time, One shotted a flying Nomu with a Dagger to the brain and forced it out of the sky with ease, Cut through a thick wall of Ice created by Todoroki with his Katana, Cut a man who’s Quirk allowed him to turn to stone in half, Blocked a punch from Deku with his Sword with no visible recoil), Superhuman durability (Tanked a punch to the face from 5% Deku, Tanked full power hits from 5% Deku and Iida at the same time, Could fight completely comfortably with broken ribs), Massively hypersonic speeds (Easily dodged Iida’s Recipro Burst, Can move faster than the eye can see), Has killed multiple Pro Heroes and Villains in his quest to cleanse society of ‘fake Heroes’ and villainy (Making him more of a delusional anti-Hero than Villain), His murderous Aura is so overpowering it froze several Pro Heroes in their place (Including Endeavour who was the world’s number 2 Hero at the time). His kill count according to him is 19 with 27 crippled.
Weaknesses: Whilst capable of fighting multiple opponents at once Stain struggles to focus fully when up against superior numbers, Must taste his opponents blood for his Quirk to work, His Quirk can only last 8 minutes at the maximum (It also depends on blood type, B type lasts the longest and O lasts the shortest). Dead in Canon thanks to All for One and his Quirk can be evaded if you have the ability to change your blood. (Stain used his Quirk afo changed his blood completely with a Quirk stole his Quirk then killed him)
Kaito Yamamoto info:
Height: 6' 3"
Weight: 275lbs
Weapons: Nicerhin Straightsword, Dual-Katanas connected by a chain(Think how tengens swords work), chain sickle, collapsible Polearm, at least 4 Smith and weston revolvers, an 'Anti-bear' hunting rifle with a bayonet, smoke bombs, a full set of Claw gloves, his Demon Blood Art.
Strengths:as one of the Einherjars fighting in the tournament of Ragnarok he's seen as one of the strongest or best fighters in the history of his world. Superhuman strength(was strong enough to cut through both Douma and Kokushibo's attacks. Was supposedly on par with his father who threw train cars at Muzan. Overpowered and threw back the Kamiboku group all at once. [Kanao,Zenitsu, inosuke, tanjiro, nezuko, genya and according to him murichio].) Superhuman durability (got shot in the face by Genya and walked it off. Had trees fall on him and a Boulder roll over him. Took punches from muzan and a muzan possessed Tanjiro both of whom sent him through walls. Regularly spars with Gyomei and Sanemei should be on par with fellow Einherjar Derail [Dearil while fighting with Hades got nearly diembowled lost and arm and got face cut open but still won the match.] Kaito was continually cut by his godly Foe Posiden and powered through.) Supernatural speed(can dodge lighting kept up with Naruko who was capable of cutting a lightning bolt in two. Could fought on par with Posiden who can create after images and move so fast that it looks like he's attacking from multiple angles.) Thanks to his curse and overall stoic self he's capable of intimidation(his presence sacred weak demons. He terrified 3 lower moons into running despite being 'beneath' her Daki didn't want to go near him he accidentally activated some PTSD memories that Muzan has while fighting Kaigaku) (murichio the mist hashira who often assigns people to animals as some form of aura reading or vision described katio once as something that sounded like a mix of a Ōmukade and a Jorōgumo [a large Centipede with spider legs wearing a Kubuki mask]) Kaito is a natural prodigy in weapon fighting who trains like mad(his file in heaven/Valhalla said he never stopped his training after his death with multiple weapons and he seems to have mastered almost all breathing styles as evident by how he switches styles on the fly.) His Blood art lets him turn parts of his body into any weapon he can think of as long as he understands the basics behind it. He also has limited telacanisis with them [can move them tiny bits.] When holding his weapons he can merge them into a bigger stronger weapon that he can channel his powers into. As a demon he's immune to Disease and has unlimited stamina. He's also one of the few demons who can survive decapitation. See-through world gives him X-ray vision and boosts his reaction time. Suprising stealth[despite the windchimes on his hat and the bells on his cloak Noone other then Tengen can hear him coming.]
Weaknesses:Prefers smaller weapons or close ranged ones as he quote 'has more control over what he does and dosent hit.' Someone in heaven cursed him so that anything that can fly with wings will either attack him or run away from him. Despite being a strong demon he's still weak to sunlight and red hot blades. Didn't master every battle style. Examples include @ask-kiyanah Universe breathing Sun breathing and @ask-milo-suzuki breathing and @cursetopia darkness breathing (mostly due to him being to shy to ask and not thinking he deserves use them.) Prone to fits of anger if you do anything he calls unforgivable.

Things that flew through my mind while watching this episode:
--YAAASSS,k,,, ujkasdlahsd AAAAHHHHH HYYYYAAAAASSSSSSSSSS SO COOL, TANJIRO'S SOOOO COOOOOOOLLLL, LOOK AT 'IM GO WITH THAT HINOKAMI KAGURAAAAAAA
--AAHHHH DAAAAAAKKIIIIII makin' us feel the TEN-SIOOOOOOON, narrating the shock in Muzan's cells SO WE FEEL IT TOOOOOOOOOO, LOOK AT HER HAIR GO FYWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEE when her obi goes FWAAAAHHHHHH
--NEEEEEEEEEEEEE
--ZUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
--KOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
--Phew, okay, so yeah, this episode gets overshadowed by the animation in the battles once Gyutaro comes in, but this is just SO GOOD, SO WELL PRODUCED, SO EXCITING, SO MUCH REWATCH VALUE
--UFOTABBBBBBBBBLLLLLLEEEEEEE!!!!!! YOU MONSTERS, THIS IS AMAAAAAAAZZZIIIIIIIIINNNNGGGGGGG AAAAAAAAHHHH
--Just… just, all of you, do yourselves a favor and rewatch the solo Tanjiro .vs. Daki battle, which admittedly also gets overshadowed by the full-on violence fest that is Nezuko .vs. Daki right after it. But this fight is so good, right from their first encounter!! Every twist and turn in battle shows us Daki little by little finding herself challenged by Tanjiro and going through a range of thoughts and feelings on that, it is so fun to ride along with her on all her mood swings, but she's still generally in control even if Tanjiro's making her surprised, annoyed, and frustrated sometimes, especially since he's worth so little to her that at earlier points in the fight, she was willing to let him run along and live like a mouse she tired of toying with. Muzan, who doesn't even hold high expectations of her, probably wouldn't even scold her for it (though it would frustrate him that he didn't tell her to kill the kid with the earrings instead of just setting her attention on an annoying demon who got away. Muzan doesn't have high expectations of Nezuko either, at this point). However, Tanjiro is continually pushing himself harder and harder, pulling from harder and harder to access portions of his repertoire, until the horror of Daki's blatant disregard for human life sends him over and edge he couldn't even see. And man, how he plunges!! It almost tempts one to theorize that the mysterious samurai arising in the memories of Muzan's cells is a ghost possessing Tanjiro for this portion of the fight, but my meta angle on it is that Hinokami Kagura already enables humans to tap into this latent power, and Tanjiro has attained enough of a level of mastery--likely both through conscious practice and years of unconscious practice through dance with his father--that allows him to enter a state of flow.
--aaaaAAANNNDD HE LOOKS SO COOL WHILE DOING IT
--I love how she emphasizes how much more Hinokami Kagura hurts and that it's hard to recover from (and I love how that aspect of Hinokami Kagura is similar to Nezuko's fire, what do you know, it's like she's from the same family of fire-working charcoal farmers). Also love how surprised and confused Daki is by the reaction from Muzan's cells. This isn't Muzan telepathically telling her anything like, "that's him, that's the guy, kill him!", no, it's Muzan's cells being unable to control their ingrained terror. Perhaps no other demon after Yoriichi's time has ever experienced what Daki is going through, as she is the first to encounter a swordsman resonating with that side of Sun Breath, and happening to say similar lines in similar depth about the value of life. Muzan would never reveal his fears to anyone (excepts, perhaps, Kokushibo, who maybe hears the brunt of how much his brother sucks), so what Daki is experiencing is downright weird. (Don't worry, Daki, your cells will experience terror of their own when Nezuko soon sets you on fire).
--Two things that interupt the exceedingly satisfying ebb and flow of the Tanjiro .vs. Daki fight: the Sound-Pillar-leaping-out-of-a-hole-with-his-arms-full-of-boys filler, and Shinjuro's letter. Well, three things, I guess. Tanjiro's lack of stamina had quite rude timing.
--Shinjuro's letter, from a lore perspective, is very satisfying, and ties in well with the timing of Daki's encountering Muzan's memories and fear lodged deep inside them. We also get the first mentions of the mark here, which Shinjuro brings up very casually, as though everyone knows about it. Shinjuro is a lore nerd. I already related to him due to feeling similarly depressed about things I started practicing, like, ten years ago but like I'll never progress further than this (and go figure, I haven't been to naginata practice in… five months…… ouch) , but---but now I must also feel a kindred spirit in Shinjuro for how he is a lore nerd. Sure, yes, Kyojuro might had been reading those sword manuals and diaries for his own swordsmanship development, but Shinjuro's obsessed gotten too obsessed with the history and lore! That makes this letter very refreshing. If Shinjuro can come around from dark places and approach things with humility and gratitude and kindness, then I can strive for that too, even in the moments when my efforts feel most worthless.
--OK BUT LIKE THE WAY TANJIRO JUST GRABS HER LEGS AND CUTS IT OFF AND THEN DROPS IT OFF THE ROOF WITH THAT CLUNK OF THE SHOE IT'S MOMENTS LIKE THESE I LIVE FOR IN THIS SERIES
--TRAPPING ALL THE OBI LIKE THAT, EVEN ONCE SHE'S STARTED USING HER BLOOD TECHNIQUE ON YOU INSTEAD OF JUST WHIPPING SHARP BODY PARTS AROUND, TANJIRO, YOU ABSOLUTE BADASS
--AND AND AND THE RED IN HIS EYES AND THE WAY HIS HAIR CHANGES SHAPE LIKE WHEN HE LATER GETS THE MARRRRRRKKK
--I have to wonder at what point Nezuko decided it was time to leave the box. Was she snoozing and ghost-Hanako stopped by to wake her up first? Or did she hear the crash and was like, "hm-mm" ("yes, now")? And then leave the box to see all the wreckage? Was she shocked and immediately worried for Tanjiro and had to go hunting him down? Or did she look at piles of rubble and go "hm. hm. hm." like observing Rengoku-san choking some human on a train?
--AND THE WAY NEZUKO'S HAIR GOES WHOOSH, WHOOSH IN THE WIND UP THERE, and and and the way she was already getting those cracks around her eyes the moment she was in Daki's presence? We could totally watch the anime only and have no idea it's because Daki has more of Muzan's cells than any other demon Nezuko's encountered, but she's still rightfully angry not only about Tanjiro being injured, but the fact that a bunch of humans--you know, Nezuko's family--are dead. In that way, she and Tanjiro have BOTH tapped into another source due to the same emotion. Takeo is very right to start his monologue by saying that she and Tanjiro are similar. Also, I love that monologue. It gives us so much depth to Takeo. He acts cool for the parts we ve usually seen him so far, but at his core, he's still a scared little kid with a keen skill for reading people.
--Neeee…zuuu…. KOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

I was wondering, who is your favorite Upper Moon? Mine are Gyutaro and Nakime in case you were wondering.
Thanks for asking!
For me, KNY is a hard series for favorites, just because I like all of the characters so much, I could pick one at random, and explain why they're one of my favorites. For instance, I love how Gyutaro and Daki so strongly parallel Tanjiro and Nezuko, and it's a really interesting exploration of the idea of sibling bonds, which are everywhere in the story. But, if I were forced to pick a single favorite, I think it has to be Akaza, for a few reasons.
The first of which is that all the backstage machinations of the UMs we see is done so through Akaza's point of view. He is the lens through which the audience views the Upper Moons. He's the first Upper Moon we encounter, a hallmark of their strength, and why we should be afraid of them. Akaza is the vessel through which the audience is exposed to Muzan's obsession with finding the Blue Spider Lily. When we meet the other Upper Moons in the meeting, we get to know their personalities through his interactions with them. Akaza is, quite literally, an evil Shonen Protagonist. His primary goal is to become the strongest, and he does a lot of training and respects his opponents' strengths, even offering to many of them to change sides and 'redeem' themselves. He's out here trying to Talk no Jutsu Kyojuro into 'changing his ways' and becoming his ally, but Kyojuro just isn't having it.
The second reason I love Akaza is the fact that he's one of the few great examples of promises and payoffs in the story. When Akaza retreats from the dying Rengoku, Tanjiro calls him out on it, even managing to get a hit in on him. Then, when we see Akaza next after being berated by Muzan, he swears that the next time he sees Tanjiro, he'll kill him. This acts as a cue to the audience that we are definitely going to see Tanjiro and Akaza face off again. It's a promise from croc-sensei to the readers that Tanjiro is going to get his chance to avenge Rengoku's death. The way Infinity Castle is structured is unique, because for each fight there's sort of a different protagonist. Kanao is the protagonist in the Doma fight, Zenitsu in the Kaigaku, etc. So I think it's super telling, and a super great piece of payoff that our Main Protagonist's big fight in the penultimate arc is against the villain that we were promised he would fight again. Muzan might have been the one to kill Tanjiro's family, but Akaza is perhaps an even more personal villain for Tanjiro, and it's why Tanjiro and Giyuu vs. Akaza is one of my all time favorite fights in the series.
The third and final reason is also probably the most obvious. Akaza is complicated as a character. I think the way his backstory was handled was compelling and deeply emotionally moving. I think my initial thought process upon reading it was, "This man killed Rengoku, so I hate him. But, also, he's probably the single most tragic figure in the series, so I can't help but feel a deep sense of sympathy for him." And I just think characters like that are really interesting. I never 'forgave' Akaza, but delving into his own psyche broadened my perspective on him and helped me appreciate him beyond his role as a character for Tanjiro to seek vengeance against.
So yeah, long story short, it's probably Akaza most days (although aesthetically it's Doma because rainbow eyes are PEAK).

So I read your last post and I noticed you mentioning an AU where Nezuko regains her human personality and memories early and recently I had a similiar idea, but with Nezuko only having vague recolections instead of her full memory. If I ever decided to write it (extremely unlikely as it is), it would be mostly cannon complaint, with few exceptions, like Nezuko getting a mask from Urodaki to replace her muzzle (so she can still talk), Nezuko staying with Tamayo and reuniting with Tanjiro before/during the forest arc, Nezuko teaching Genya how to demon in the Swordsmith Village (he would also have a big moment when he uses Aizetsu BDA) and during pillair training. At least until the last arc, because as I mentioned on ao3, I really want to see Nezuko vs Kokushibo. There would also be some other self indulgent stuff in the last arc, such as different characters surviving and few different match ups in the infinity fortress arc (most notably Obonai & Mitsuri participating in the Akaza fight).
Sorry for throwing all of this at you, I originaly wanted to just ask you how does your Nezuko regains her self early AU, differs from cannon (beyond the obviuos), but I kinda ended up ranting about mine.
Ooh! Your version sounds pretty fun! And trust me, I do not mind fun story rambling, I would be a hypocrite if I did. I a hundred percent support you writing that, if you decide to do so!
Now buckle in, we got a long one!
My version is basically Nezuko wakes up after her coma, and is pretty much her human self. There is still some stuff missing, but she managed to get most of herself back. And she also decides the muzzle is BS and yanks it off at the exact moment Urokodaki comes in the check on her.
After that, Tanjirou comes back and he and Nezuko figure out what's missing and how to go about things. If Nezuko managed to conquer the sun shortly after her sleep, she would get a mask to hide her demonic features while she's hanging around humans. If not, she would still get the mask, but stay in her box during the day. This leads to fun Nezuko Box Commentary opportunities.
Aside from conversation abilities, Nezuko would also regularly fuss over Tanjirou, especially if he got hurt. He may be the eldest, but she's still got an obligation to worry about him as his sister. It also extends to his friends once she gets close to them too.
She would be quick to establish boundaries, especially around Zenitsu. No claiming her as his wife.
Also, Nezuko gets to rip some Hashira a new one during the trial. She would definitely tear into them for 1. not letting Tanjirou explain himself, 2. stabbing her repeatedly (Shinazugawa got the death stare, and suddenly remembered angry small people were, in fact, terrifying even without fangs), and 3. making a mess in the nice house and waving blood in her face. She also would NOT appreciate Himejima implying she possessed Tanjirou. Great offense would be taken at that, how dare he. She stays close to Tanjirou and any Hashira that didn't want her dead after then. Maybe she conquers the sun then, if she hasn't already, trying to protect Tanjirou. I read a fanfic with that premise, and it was really good.
Things go pretty similar for the Mugen Train Arc, but maybe Nezuko steps in against Akaza. Even if he doesn't fight women, all she has to do is get some of her blood on him and he's getting roasted. That might save Rengoku, then he can vouch for her personally!
RLD Arc still sees Nezuko go berserk, but maybe she manages to reign herself in a little until Tanjirou calms her down fully. When they get a moment, they absolutely talk about it and why Nezuko went as far as she did compared to fighting other demons. (My head canon is that Nezuko went so far then because she was, even if only subconsciously, terrified of losing the only family she had left.) Lots of crying, lots of hugs. Some apologies get tossed around. They probably also talk about seeing themselves in Gyutaro and Daki, because THAT would have gotten brought up and discussed if Nezuko wasn't brain fried!
Swordsmith Village, pretty much the same. If Nezuko already conquered the sun, I can imagine this epic scene of her just standing there while Hantengu burns, glaring at him as he begs for mercy or help. Kinda like Luz does to Belos in the Owl House finale, except Hantengu gets decapitated instead of stomped. And maybe hit with the blood arson.
I can see Nezuko participating in Hashira Training and insisting she take up the sword. Even if she didn't go to Final Selection. This would be for any number of reasons. She wants to help Tanjirou, she wants to be able to protect herself from demons that may try to capture her, she doesn't want everyone fighting and maybe dying to keep her safe, etc.
If she participated in the final battle, Yushiro would make sure she had one of his little eyes for invisibility. If she's gonna be sticking around and fighting, might as well limit her chances of getting spotted and captured. And I can definitely see her going after either Douma or Kokushibo. Probably Kokushibo because Douma is, well, Douma. Maybe she even goes after Nakime, burning the Biwa Demon so Yushiro can do his thing while Mitsuri and Obanai take the chance to provide backup to other Slayers(I like the idea of throwing them at Akaza). Once that's done, Nezuko goes to fight Kokushibo, possibly even saving Genya as she intervenes. Then Kokushibo would be confused because something just attacked him, but where tf is it? Honestly a BDA+Breath Style versus BDA+Breath Style fight sounds epic. And Nezuko would have an edge in that her BDA burns demons and slows their regen A LOT. You bet your bottom dollar she's using that!
Then we go to Muzan. He would definitely try to get her to come to him by threatening everyone else there, but ESPECIALLY Tanjirou. Muzan would be like "I killed everyone else in your family, you think I won't kill him? You think I won't draw it out and make it painful just to make you hurt?" Tanjirou still gets that hit to his eye and everyone gets the infection from canon. But not only does Chachamaru come in with some medicine, Nezuko can just burn the poison out! Which is good for Tanjirou, it'll mean he's no longer actively dying while fighting Muzan. From there, it would be awesome to see Nezuko and Tanjirou fighting Muzan together, and Nezuko burning Muzan while the sun does the same. He tries to devour her, but the remaining Hashira intervene. Tanjirou might still deliver the final blow, and then it's over.
If I were to do DKT in this AU, Nezuko would be the major fighter against her brother. Everyone is either too wounded or is emotionally unable to do it. And Nezuko, though she loves her brother and doesn't want to see him hurt or killed, understands that he isn't like she was. He can't control himself, and he could easily get someone killed if someone doesn't stop him. He promised to kill her and himself if she ate a human, she might as well return the favour and make sure his hands spill no human blood by any means necessary. So she throws herself at him, remembering Tamayo saying something about Nezuko's blood helping another demon regain themselves. She lets him bite her, using her BDA to try and burn out Muzan's influence while also trying to get through to Tanjirou verbally. He starts to slow down, and Kanao administers the booster shot of the antidote.
Once Tanjirou comes back, and they know it's over, Nezuko takes her own dose of the antidote. Even with the fever and pain it causes her, she refuses to leave her brother's side. Luckily, she's only transforming back for one night. The first thing Tanjirou sees when he wakes up is his little sister as a human again. Cue the tearful hugs. And from there, it goes as it did in canon. With a few more survivors, of course. Genya and Sanemi go travelling together, Mitsuri and Obanai get married, all that good stuff.
BONUS! Little Sibling Club! Nezuko, Muichiro, Senjurou, Genya, the entire Butterfly Team, Giyuu. They get together at least monthly, if not weekly. There's tea, and snacks, and chit-chat. This includes unintentional therapy sessions, all of them are horribly traumatized in some way or another. Some of them might have decided to gang up on Sanemi and dogpile him on sight.

Now that the Swordsmith Village Arc has ended, what are your top 10 moments in Demon Slayer so far?
I'll leave this to the anime only moments since I've also read the manga, in which case my top 10 moments would probably be...
10. Zohakuten's introduction - Up to that point, Hantengu's emotion related clones had been powerful, but they still felt beatable, especially after Tanjiro used the burning sword on them. But then Zohakuten came along with that Ancient Pharoah style attire of his, and let fans see the true reason why Hantengu has the rank of Upper Four. His very presence froze Tanjiro and Genya stiff, and that's what I wanted to see. The Upper Moons need to be presented as near insurmountable obstacles, and technically that's what Zohakuten was, as Mitsuri would have been killed by him it wasn't for Tanjiro's timely beheading of the main body.
Tumblr media
9. Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke working together to behead Daki - In my opinion, the worst thing about the Swordsmith Village Arc was the complete lack of Zenitsu and Inosuke. I love seeing the main male trio working together, and when they did so to behead Daki with their coordinated attacks, that was really cool.
Tumblr media
8. Muzan wiping out the rest of the Lower Moons - That scene served to show the God-like presence that Muzan has among the demons, and how they are literally nothing to him. You could really see the fear that Muzan was able to instill in them, which was very effective in depicting just how far above everyone Muzan was in terms of sheer power alone.
Tumblr media
7. Gyutaro and Daki's backstory - I'm glad that not every demon has to have a sympathetic backstory, because it makes those that do, like Gyutaro and Daki, seem even more impactful. You could truly see the struggle they had to endure during their childhood. When Gyutaro said in his despairing voice "What happened to 'fortune and misfortune are intertwined'? Both fortune and misfortune should come by turns!", that hit hard.
Tumblr media
6. Rengoku's death - I don't think many people expected Rengoku to die during the Mugen Train arc, but it proved to be highly significant and has been referenced multiple times since. The one thing I didn't like about it was how Tanjiro was calling Akaza a coward and saying how he didn't lose, because that was just pure cope on his part. Akaza wasn't a coward for seeking shelter from the sun, and while Rengoku may have protected everyone, he got dominated in the fight itself, that's the bottom line. That aside, this was a very touching and pivotal moment.
Tumblr media
5. Revealing the rest of the Upper Moons - Because when you remember the immense struggle and how it took absolutely everything that Tengen, Tanjiro, Inosuke, Zenitsu and Nezuko had to just barely defeat the Upper Six, the weakest of the Upper Moons, then watching the rest of them get revealed one by one had much significance. The fights against Akaza, Doma and Kokushibo are gonna be epic because those guys are problems.
Tumblr media
4. Tanjiro beheading Rui (or so it seemed) - The most epic part of Season 1, bar none. The animation, the music, Nezuko's assist with her Blood Demon Art, and the way Tanjiro sliced off Rui's head was just so smooth, it's hard to explain. It was one of the cleanest, and most satisfying decapitations I'd ever seen.
Tumblr media
3. The Rengoku vs Akaza fight - At that point, it was definitely the best fight in the series thus far, and it was the first time we had seen the immense power of the Upper Ranks. The Hashira had been presented really powerfully, so Akaza coming in and demonstrating the very large power difference between himself and Rengoku was a much needed wakeup call.
Tumblr media
2. Nezuko's sacrifice and subsequent survival - The way Tanjiro was panicking and hyperventilating as he struggled to decide whether to help the villagers and finish Hantengu, or save Nezuko was extremely well done, you could really hear his panic. The soundtrack as the scene was going on was beautiful, Nezuko making up Tanjiro's mind for him, the flashbacks of their time together, Tanjiro's rage as he finishes off Hantengu, and Nezuko's "Ohayo" as we see her smiling in the sun for the first time since the very beginning, were all very well done.
Tumblr media
1. The final fight leading up to Gyutaro and Daki's defeat - The cinematography and fight choreography for these scenes were absolutely out of this world. Tengen returning, Zenitsu unleashing his Godlike Speed technique, Tengen and Gyutaro going HAM on each other, Inosuke returning, Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke working together to simultaneously take out Gyutaro and Daki, the Upper Six... Prior to this, I couldn't remember the last time I had been blown away purely due to the god tier animation of a fight scene, but this was something special.
Tumblr media
As a manga reader though, I know that the best is still to come. The Infinity Castle arc is gonna be peak Demon Slayer, and I can't wait.

Hey! I love your blog :)
Can you go into detail about why Nezuko is your favorite character?
oohhh. ive been, enabled.
Ty anon
Tumblr media
Just to begin, nezukos design already checks a lot of boxes for me:
- multi colored hair
- purple/pink/orange/red color scheme (she looks like a sunset :])
- The long socks/legs wraps (idk the correct term sry)
- Fangs and claws and cat eyes >:3c
- Star-like pattern on her kimono
I also really like her voice. (Tho I Adore all the voice acting in kny. It never misses) I think Akari Kito does a really good job at differentiating her human and demon mannerisms, even if most of the time it’s just conveyed through muffled hums and grunts. She does an amazing job where it really counts ESPECIALLY especially especially in ep 7 season 2. Not to fangirl but Oh my god I don’t think I’ve ever anticipated anything more in my life. You have No idea how excited I was for the ep to drop. Every week I was just counting down the eps, trying to predict what weekend it release. And it was so worth the wait. It was. SO GOOD. The animation was amazing, the score never missed a beat (i already have a whole ramble talking abt the ost in that one scene), and the voice acting was perfect on all ends. I will always love how Akari Kito lowered her voice to better fit the berserker nezuko persona. I love how ufotable added these nice little details that helped each scene transition so nicely. The sound design was so good. Words cant describe how much adrenaline was running through my body while watching all that! And I know that sounds weird, being that excited abt a single ep, but I had been waiting for that for years dude. And, the idea that it would drop almost didn’t seem real. Nezuko vs Daki is probably one of my favorite fights in the series! From the initial reveal to when nezuko falls asleep, I adore the way it develops nezuko and tackles the issues around being a demon that I was hoping would be addressed! How despite her initial intentions, strong emotions can block out reason and thought, and cause yourself to become blindsided from logic. And in this case, it let’s her demonic tendencies take control. It’s. SO INTERESTING AHH.
Tumblr media
and while i love all that potential for her character set up that ep, i don’t like how berserker Nezuko was handled later. As in how after the RLD arc, berserker nezuko is not really addressed again despite what almost happened. And when she does come back she’s perfectly fine and in complete control and tanjiro doesn’t seem worried at all despite the fact that the last time he saw his sister like that he had to restrain her from trying to eat someone. But never mind that, I don't want to be bitter. My point is that I really really like that ep and what it sets up for nezukos character (even if what was set up was not acted upon as much as I hoped it would be later) and it will always have a special place in my heart.
And on the topic of fights, I also think her fighting style is super cool and fun to watch (and this is aided by the beautiful animation). It helps her stand out from the rest of the cast in which a majority fight with swords. And, I also think her not talking is an important character trait.  Because with a main cast of 4, 3 of which are all varying levels of loud, having nezuko not talk helps her stand out in a group that is constantly yelling. And all of this holds up for me despite having an au entirely focused on if she could talk. that is purely for my self indulgence <:D.
Ok so. Want to address something that is always kinda a constant “Elephant in the Room” for me because, as a character in the story of kny, if I’m being honest with myself, most of my interest in nezuko doesn’t come from the actual story we’re given. Hell, my favorite dynamic is the nezuko and makomo friendship we see in the side series and it’s not even canon nor ever could be :,) (read kimetsu academy). Dont get me wrong tho, i get so happy any time i see nezuko. i cant think of a moment in the series where i wasn't happy to see her on screen. But, compared to other characters, especially as secondary main character, her development is harder to follow. That doesn’t mean there isn’t any tho, she’s just kinda, sidelined. And since she doesn’t speak, it means development she does get isn’t spoken, which I think is both consistent with her character while also being sort of a detriment.
Ok so, initially this next section was a 5+ paragraph ramble that I decided was too negative to keep in and could honestly be it’s own post. and on top of all that was. kinda hard to follow. I don’t want this to be a critique of the series, I want it to be abt why I like it :D. So to put this short a sweet, a lot of questions i had weren’t given a lot of attention. Or, weren’t always handled amazingly <:). i.e Berserker Nezuko.  because the thing is, Nezukos story has a really really intriguing beginning. You're left there asking so many questions. Is nezuko going to be able to stay in control of herself? How is she going to ensure that? Can she talk without the muzzle? How is Tanjiro going to handle not being able to interact with his sister? How is she going to react to other people? How are they going to turn her human? Does she need to eat? Does she remember what happened to her family?
So asking all this, a lot of my thoughts are more inspired by what could have been, or trying to interpret or expand on moments we are given. And, fun fact, on the side Ive actually been taking the time to write out and reason why nezuko is the way she is because I’m. Just like that I guess! Not everything needs an answer, but I like to try and connect dots where I can and come up with an answer myself. Cuz something I always address when talking abt nezuko was how underutilized she was. And while just spatting a doc full of head-cannon info is one thing, (which will probably never see the light of day because. My god that thing is a transcription directly from my under stimulated school brain and is therefore incomprehensible) it’s more fun to think abt this info being conveyed through the story. And on that note, here are a few plot points that the series sets up that I think could have been neat and given Nezuko more meaningful screen time!
- more talk with Tamayo and demon biology. I think it’s super interesting and could lead to some interesting conversation and an explanation for beserker Nezuko. (Because if I’m genuinely bitter abt anything it’s the beserker nezuko plot line). I also like Tamayo and sad we didn’t get see her that much. Tanjiro is the Concerned Older Brother I and I feel he would have questions to ask, especially after the RDL arc.
Tumblr media
- More downtime focus between her and tanjiro. (This is a Big one for me I think abt it A Lot). We get hints of it like after Mugen Train and I think could have been really interesting to see how the two communicate despite their circumstances. we also get a bit between them in the side stories with that flower short and i literally cried when i read that. :’) i want more content of them so badly
- A nezuko arc that covers the time when tanjiro and the rest of the gang are recovering from the events of the entertainment district. I wanna know what was she up to! (I do have wip a comic written and sketched abt this exact question but. Motivation is a bitch </3)
Tumblr media
- Nezuko and zenitsu. I’m so sad the anime cut what little bit we had in the manga I wanna see them hanging out in a flower field being friends. It would make their end game seem more, natural, seeing we don’t get a lot of content about them vibing sunrise countdown.  - More interaction with the pillars. Maybe not with nezuko specifically but I just want more pillar content outside of battle, maybe with some focus on the enigma that is Nezuko. how having a demon in the corps affects their moral codes a whatnot.
- I wanna see Inosuke and Nezuko fight together. I feel their fighting styles would complement each other well
- NEZUKO AND GENYA. The two foils should have been allowed to interact together after the swordsmith village. It could give Nezuko an opportunity to talk more now that she can. I feel nezuko and Genya are really similar not just in abilities (and yknow. Being foils and all) but personality. It could be an opportunity for her to finally share how she feels about being a demon with someone who also knows how it feels. There’s. SO much potential ough.
Tumblr media
(i would expand on these ideas myself in this post but my brain does not organize like that so </3. i love to think abt nezuko as a character A Lot, but putting those thoughts down in a coherent manner takes a lot of effort for me, so if i ever do they would be their own posts.)
but either way, I go crazy when people make Nezuko content especially around concepts like these. they are so much fun to interact with. But. Yeah, Nezuko gets side lined a lot in kny, and despite that she’s still my fav because she had so much potential. But kny is a shorter series with not a lot of in-between fluff, especially in the later chapters, so ofc not everything would have time to be addressed. I just think it’s fun to, instead of being upset at this, just make what I wanted to see, and look for content by others to see how they interpret the character. Because people have such good ideas. there are a lot of cool people in this fandom and I’m happy to be apart of it :D

You know my name, not my story (Demon slayer)
Tumblr media
So, this was that drawing I sneak peaked last night & I almost forgot to post this ^^"
How dare I when it's Okimi? I should know better
Anyways, the bottom half is actually her in the swordsmith village arc, since that was her outfit. Just a simple juban shirt & hakama pants. That's actually her sword she used when she was in the corps, BTW, hilt & all
She didn't just fight Gyokko, cuz once he finally died, she helped the others with Zohakuten, too. & she showed them what for. She went from barely holding her own with weak demons to going up against uppermoons, I'm so proud of her. She even pulled a Nezuko vs Daki when she jumped up & slammed her foot down onto Urami (Little Speedy Gonzales resentment clone) when he tried making a run for it (Before Tanj, Nezuko, & Genya chased him down, BTW). She did this because she was still a little (& by a little, I mean extremely) pissed at the two for disrupting her home & hurting her husband. Never anger the sweet & gentle ones
Also, new sketchbook test! This thing is a fucking monster 🔥🔥🔥
Thicker paper that won't cause my markers to bleed through, bigger pages, this sketchbook is a beast! Highly recommended!
All & all, being in the corps helped her more than she thought, cuz she would never have this kinda thick skin. I love her so much

maybe Kevin Kaslana with his S/O who is a Neko but is like Nezuko at the same time and when the final herrscher comes to destroy humanity his S/O goes in her full form(which is like nezuko full form) and maybe the battle ends like the Nezuko vs Daki fight.
Also I love your work!😇😁
It is quite a complicated request knowing that the fight happened on the moon and the Nezuko vs. Daki fight ended up quite a complicated way ( without spoiling people ) Who could request an S/O who has a power like Nezuko of change form and other
I'm sorry TwT I'm happy that you like my work

Awakened demon form Nezuko is a great example of "Aren't you tired of being nice? Go apeshit!" As soon as she saw Tanjiro pass his limit she immediately chose violence. Daki literally had no chance, she was getting curbstomped and disrespected through the whole district. Honestly, awakened Nezuko and the trio/Tengen vs Daki and Gyutaro were the best parts of S2.

Does anyone else think about demon slayer Nezuko vs Daki and think about how that was probably the first time Nezuko realized her family is dead? Like she was hypnotized to see humans as family, so she sees these dead humans, thinks they're her dead family and just loses it. She crushes the demon fighting her brother because she assumes that's who killed her family. Then when tanjiri sings to her and she remembers her mom, she bawls because her mom and her siblings are dead.

It honestly makes me really excited for the next season and her character going forward.
