I don't think enough people talk about YOU TWO. People are always attributing various things to gaster, but there were two other people in the room with him when it happened. They could be the ones doing these things. I always felt like a lot of the things attributed to him seem to contradict each other personality-wise. Maybe one of them is going around giving random short guys new, never-before-seen complexes while the other is handing out eggs, or making fountains.
On deltarune.com/chair there's dialogue that appears in the tab name: "But what if it could get... ...darker than dark?" This seems like it was said surrounding one of Gaster's dark experiments, but notably, it is not in all capital letters, like Gaster always speaks in. This was someone else talking. They use capitalization the normal way, just like the voice that discards the vessel, so they could be the same person. I know just about everyone uses capitalization the normal way, the connecting thread here is both being in relation to Gaster, the capitalization just means that them being the same person is allowed.

"zk is an awful ship they'd be so horrible and toxic together" zutara is literally baby's first EtL ship who go from enemies to close friends in canon they're one of the most wholesome interations of the trope imaginable but also i want everyone to know i'd still ship it even if it was horrible and toxic <3 because they're 2d moving pixels and not fucking real <3

having a tav that's a Lloth-sworn life domain cleric of a noble background who before getting yeeted into the nautiloid was a sacrificial priestess (gn) during one of the cycles of Drow society and had their own altar and temple under their care, means Solune would have the most insane however many minutes they spent interacting with Minthara and I am obsessed about it.
As far as I'm conceptualising it, I'm thinking of Lloth as extremely Ungoliant-like. Goddess of hunger, goddess of wanting and consumption, goddess of excess and exuberance, goddess who unmasked the hypocritical gods of starvation, guilt and purity into a society that cherishes a certain kind of clarity about the double standard they impose. For Drow are evil for their wars and their wanting and their taking, but those other people with their other gods kill, warmonger and enslave with no regard and no self-awareness, calling the indignation about receiving scraps from a bunch of silent, unrepentant gods, "guilt and shame". There is violence in denial and her Children will not suffer it.
In the season of Life, they do not sacrifice the unwilling. It is taboo. The only sacrifice that matters is the desire to be devoured and destroyed by the things you love the most.
And Solune sees Minthara and is like fucking finally, someone rational enough to get what I'm going through, that they're losing their mind that their life was taken from them and if they become this other thing, if they transform, if they do not remain Luxe Solune Mizzmyrra, Life Knife of Lloth, they're never going to be able to be reintegrated into that life. They will die away from home, from their temple, from their (first) spouse, from their mother and their siblings and there won't be the day when they too succumb to the knife, when it is time, when the day they no longer feel hunger comes.
And then the parasite gives them an in into Minthara thinking she was raised from the darkness into a FALSE GOD? One thing you do not do is steal from Lady Lloth, and oh my god, there could've been a time, a chance that existed only in ignorance, of Solune lending a hand to Minthara but this to them is unforgivable because Solune is genuinely a good friend to their friends, but if you keep peeking into whatever mindset nobility and religious authority has given them it's like realising your friend is a cesspool of "what the actual and everliving fuck", and when the knife of the morningstar priestess comes down on Minthara it won't be with love but with absolute rage, grief and disgust and I will be thinking about this for evermore. Thanks, I'm not well

Like, no one argues with the fact that pre memory loss Durge is evil.
We are simply interested WHY they're evil.
And how much work seemed to go into making them that way.

I have finished The M/entalist, a tv show that ended 10 years ago, a show that I'm sure no one else cares about, but that I am about to make my whole personality for at least 2 weeks as I have hyperfixated on it so hard I can barely breathe
so uhhhhhhhh anyways if anyone knows this show take this as an open invitation, or if not then consider this a formal warning that i may be reblogging things and screaming "P/ATRICK J/ANE" in the tags <3

saw ppl in a reddit thread talking about the emperor baldursgate being inherently evil and manipulative and i'm like....... manipulative ok i'll give you that it is generally self-serving and logical to a fault and does manipulate everyone around it in order to get what it wants and thinks is right.
but, evil? no, buddy, that is entirely informed by how you respond to it over the course of the game. (whether you think its manipulation (and the everything surrounding orpheus) makes it evil is up to you, but there is, in fact, a Bad Ending for it where it is Much Much Worse)
if you continually disparage it, throw aside its trust and attempts to help you, and in the paramount Scene with it, if you're mean, that changes the direction of the character and the way it interracted/interacts with the world. it literally retcons things. if you're normal or nice, it is, as i said, manipulative and selfish and just kind of a dick, but seeing how everyone in the game is kind of like that in varying degrees, i would not label the emperor as "inherently evil" and i don't know if it's just people misunderstanding the breadth of control players have over the ""canon"" of the individual playthrough world (which would explain some other Generally Bad Takes people seem to have) or if people are truly drinking the koolaid of the game insisting that illithids are inherently all evil soulless monsters, which is funny given one of the endings of the game, and the existence of umaleoum

For today’s Sherliam Week prompt I was desperately trying to think of another ship to write them as, and most just don’t feel right, but it has occurred to me that I could have a lot of fun with a KuroFai/SherLiam mashup. It would take me a lot longer than the hour per day I’ve allotted myself for this though, so we’re gonna do generic AU today and maybe revisit that idea later.

The beds are no loss anyway. There’s no hiding the nightmares from each other.
There was no avoiding it after the first time. Cleo woke wild and hungry and, yes, frightened, once. In that state, they had gone to Scott. There was, and is, no one else who would rip the heart right out of their chest for Cleo. No. There was, and is, no one else Cleo would ask for such a thing.
Less than a minute, the two of them were able to bear it. Scott wrapped his arms around Cleo, pulled them close and squeezed on the sweeter side of too much. Cleo held him in return, the two of them slumped together like paper dolls.
Then Scott twitched and said shakily, “I’m sorry—” and Cleo winced away and said at the same time, “I can’t—” and when they pulled apart their separate griefs sat between them like freshly tilled soil.
These days, they sit back to back to avoid confusion, and as Scott picks through their scrolls again, that’s how Cleo gets to sleep.

ok i know that elder scrolls lore is kinda really not great at times but the Redguards (aka The Only People Of Colour) literally being the only human race in the elder scrolls to not share any common ancestors with the other human races (aka, All Of The White People) feels really fucking racist.

what r your thoughts on mbti?
if it floats ur boat go for it! lol my controversial take is I put astrology, tarot, mbti, and religion under the same kind of theological umbrella. they all mainly serve the purpose of validating ourselves and our experience to ourselves, so by all means if that helps in understanding yourself and helps guide you through introspection and self reflection then go for it. that's never not a good thing.
but for me at least, i don't think mbti offers nearly the same degree of detail and nuance that astro gives. it kinda presents itself as the more "credible" psuedo-science and tbh, I don't think it is actually comparable. really i just think mbti is more suited for those who want to know more about themselves and how they fit in the world, but don't think astrology is legit enough lol i realize those are probs some fighting words but it kinda gives me that vibe. i think humans are silly, just like what you like if it's not harming anyone.

i think ive always been really into the fantasy of immortality & time loops & ghost-type afterlives because . well. i dont know i always feel like there is more to learn, something im missing, something i havent done yet that im missing out on. so to get to the end of a game that's all about learning the missing pieces and be able to finally just, finish and let it go is such a therapeutic experience. its about accepting death and moving on and it taps in so well to that fantasy of wanting to have enough time to truly come to terms with everything. idk. its a peace.
