"there you are!" allison ran up behind luther in the hallway. "i've been looking everywhere for you"
"what are you still doing here? i thought you were gone" he turned to look at her in surprise.
"no, i was gonna go and then pogo showed me this-" she tried to explain what she had found but luther cut her off with a shake of his head.
"well, listen.. i was wrong about dad's death"
"what?"
"yeah, i was wrong about y/n, you know, to accuse my own sister of that- it's just-"
"no, no, i get it-"
"seeing all of you and being back here. i-i should be the one who's trying to bring us all back together not tear us apart-"
"would you shut up?"
"what?"
"you were right. about dad. come on, i gotta show you something"
————————————————–
"i can't" eight didn't like crying, especially not in front of her father. he was always cruel, no matter how much the children pleaded and sobbed. she crumpled to the floor, exhausted. she hated training alone, she wanted to train with her siblings outside in the snow, it looked like more fun than this was.
"you are weak, number eight! we will continue until you can get it right" reginald glared down at her. "again!"
she pushed herself up, wobbling. she weakly pushed herself again, trying to make something, anything happen. she squeezed her eyes shut, hands forming fists as she thought hard about what her father wanted. she didn't even know what she was expected to do. to no surprise, nothing happened. reginald sighed heavily, disappointed. he pulled a watch from his pocket before staring down at her as she fell to her knees again.
"you are dismissed, dinner will be in 20 minutes" and she was left alone. reginald disappeared into his office once again. she lay on the floor for a moment, heaving for breath. they had been training for hours, pushing her past her limits. grace and pogo lead her siblings, minus vanya, in through the doors. not wanting them to see her like that she gripped the table behind her, pulling herself up and leaning against it.
"y/n?" ben frowned, stepping over. the others look at her in shock. she shook him off, grumbling about how she was 'fine'. he watched her stumble up the stairs, cringing in pain. her siblings all shared a saddened look.
when they did rush down for dinner, y/n slumped into her chair, dark bags under her eyes. she barely touched her food, pushing it around her plate.
"number eight!" the next thing she knew five was holding her head up and her father was yelling at her. he degraded her, insulted her but she didn't hear a thing. five slowly let go of her, watching her carefully before turning away, back to his meal.
she sat up straighter and actually started to eat the food on her plate, after all, she must train on a full stomach.
————————————————–
y/n and five walked up the stairs of the mansion, feet dragging heavily. as they stepped up they were met with luther and allison.
"five? y/n? what the hell happened to you?" both stayed silent. y/n stared at her feet in a sort of daze. everything was still kind of confusing.
"are you okay?" luther reached out to five, "can we help?" the said boy took him by surprise, hand snapping up and grabbing his fist.
"there's nothing you can do" he spat before his expression saddened, "there's nothing any of you can do.."
y/n looked up, watching as he went. she frowned.
"you alright?" she stared at luther for a moment, grimacing as she remembered what they had last talked about. she kept her mouth shut, brushing past him to her room.
"y/n, wait-"
"just fuck off, luther" she snapped before he could say anything. he should have stayed on that moon.
————————————————–
"number eight" the remaining five siblings with powers stood in a line. it had been a couple weeks since ben's death now. reginald stood in front of them. they had all been told today's training would be different. "step forwards" she did as she was told, standing in front of the others. "you will be using your powers on your siblings today"
her head snapped up at that as did the others. she had never used her powers on them before and they knew what she could do to others. he sent the others all around the house. she was told to find them, sensing where they were with a blindfold on, almost like hide and seek without any of the fun. it was when she had found them all for the seventh time that she sensed something else.
"there are five people in line" she stated, "vanya?"
"wrong" she heard her father scold. "there are only four"
"there's a fifth, i can sense it" she frowned, pulling her blindfold off to see only her four siblings. they all looked confused. "klaus.. is there a ghost? it.. it feels like ben"
"no" he answered far too quickly. ben turned on him from beside him,
"what? klaus! i am here! tell her i'm here!"
"no, he's not"
"klaus! what the hell?! you're so selfish! i am here!" but of course, she never knew that..
————————————————–
"come on, luther, i have to show you" allison tried to pull him away but he continued to stare at where y/n had told him to 'fuck off'. he felt.. guilty.
"but.. what about y/n?" he looked at her. he hated that he upset her, he hated that he had accused her without any actual evidence. she was only a child, just like diego said.
"she's angry, let her cool off. you should apologise but not right now, give her some time" allison offered a soft smile, "that's all she needs, some time. now, come on, this is important"
"i just.. i feel guilty" luther frowned as they walked towards their father's room filled with cameras. "i shouldn't have assumed-"
"she'll understand" allison reassured with a smile.
————————————————–
y/n sat in her corner of the library, reading alone. she was calm, it was her safe place, nobody could bother her here. no training, no arguments, just peace.
"eight.." she looked up from her book at her brother's voice. five.
"what's wrong?" she shuffled over, eyebrows furrowing at the look on his face. he was worried, something five wasn't usually.. or at least he never showed it.
"i.. i want to time travel" he begun softly, taking a seat beside her. she frowned, why was he telling her? "i want to try but dad refused to teach me"
she froze, "you're going to try anyway" she realised. he nodded, now looking up at her.
"i know you think i hate you but i don't" he slowly begun, thinking of the words he was trying to say. "i'm telling you because i think you're the most trustworthy.. and i.." he paused, unsure of how to say what he wanted to. "i think you're the strongest, eight, no matter what our siblings may say"
"five.." she grimaced, "i know we don't talk much but i'll support you if anything happens"
"i do want to talk to you more" he sighed, ashamed for having obeyed his father's stupid rules. "but-"
"no, no. it's not your fault" y/n shook her head. "it's hard to go against him, i understand"
"you're too kind.. you shouldn't forgive people so easily, they'll take advantage of you" five frowned and she laughed.
"i thought i was the strongest, huh?" she nudged his shoulder with her own, finally getting a small smile.
————————————————–
"let me do that" y/n pulled a chair beside five, gently pulling the needle and thread out of his hand. he frowned but let her anyways. "you're antsy" she pointed out, eyeing his bouncing knee. "going somewhere in a rush?"
"i need to go back" he stared out the door, ready to rush out. "i need to find whoever this eye belongs to so that i can stop the apocalypse"
"i know" y/n nodded, eyebrows furrowing in concentration as she finished stitching him up. she gently used a cloth to wipe the blood off his arm before placing a bandaid over it. five stood, pulling his shirt on and buttoning it up.
"can i come?" she watched him stuff dolores into the duffle bag and swing it onto his back.
"no" he barely spared her a glance as he moved towards the window. he climbed out.
"what? why not? come on, five" she leaned out the window, watching him begin to climb down the fire escape.
"i need to do this, y/n, it's important" he looked up at her now. "just wait for me here, i'll come back, okay?"
albeit hurt she nodded, she needed to be understanding. she frowned, moving away from the window, hoping to find something else to do. instead as she walked out of the room she noticed luther.
she quickly moved towards her room, hoping he wouldn't see her. she couldn't deal with anymore fighting right now. to her misfortune he did notice her, following her to her room. she swiftly locked the door as she ducked inside.
"hey.. y/n?" luther stood outside her locked door, hand giving a single knock.
"what do you want?" she hissed back, refusing to open it for him. she didn't need anymore of his accusations.
"i'm.. i'm sorry for accusing you" luther sighed. he had to get this over with, she deserved an apology. "it was wrong and i shouldn't have jumped to conclusions like that"
he heard her cautious footsteps as she made her way to the door. there was pause before she slowly peeked out.
"you mean it..?" she frowned, eyeing his carefully. he nodded.
"i'm sorry. i know you've probably been lonely here, i know what it's like-"
"just shut up" she breathed out a laugh, pulling the door open fully, looking relieved. "no more fighting, please? i just want my family back.." the last part was quiet, vulnerable. luther nodded, smiling back.
"no more fighting" there was a comfortable silence that fell over the two of them before luther spoke again.
"by the way, do you know where five is?"
"yeah, why?" she tilted her head at him, confused.
"we're having a family meeting.. it's about mom. i'm going to get him"
"okay, but i can't guarantee he'll find this as important as you do"

You Lied to Me?
The Wayne Enterprises building was the most beautiful building Marinette had ever seen. The tour guide was a very sweet man and he loved telling jokes to try to get the class to laugh.
Unfortunately, Lila was on a roll today, lying about knowing the Waynes and growing up with the youngest son, and finding out that they were true mates.
Even if she was claiming that her true mate was Prince Ali a week before the trip was announced, god forbid Marinette points that out and makes Lila shed her crocodile tears.
Even Adrien, her own mate, took Lilas's side and yelled at her for pointing out her lies when she should just stay quiet.
It ended up leading into a huge argument between them that Marinette had to apologize for to get him to talk to her after 3 long weeks of him ignoring her existence.
“Bruce Wayne funds multiple charities around the world in honor of his late parents, he has several adoptive children and a single blood son. Bruce typically keeps his children out of the spotlight and most Gothamites are very good about keeping pictures with them off of the internet.”
As the tour guide talks, Marinette reaches out her hand for Adrien's just for him to brush her off and step away from her.
Wrapping her arms around herself she leaves his side to stand next to the tour guide. At least he tells jokes and tries to make this interesting.
Damian's POV:
“Master Damian, you should start heading to the office if you want to catch Master Dick before his lunch break is over.”
Running his hands over his face he thanks Alfred before grabbing his jacket and starting his car up.
He needed Dick to sign off on his trip to Paris, France since he was his temporary guardian until Father got back from his honeymoon with Selina.
Pulling up to the building he stops. Not because of the bright yellow bus sitting in the parking lot, no, it's because of the intoxicating scent of baked goods, plants, and rain wafting through the air.
Following the smell leads him to the tour group Grayson is leading into the cafeteria.
Walking to Grayson's side he passes him the permission slip, trying to understand why he wants to be near the Blue haired angel getting a lunch tray.
“Grayson, how can you tell if you’ve found your true mate?”
Grayson startles looking up from signing the papers.
“Well, their scent is one way, they will smell like absolute heaven to you and you can’t help but follow it. Another way is that when you see them you want to touch them so you can get your scent on them as well, and when you do touch them, it's electrifying. Literally and figuratively. Do you think you found them?”
Damian nods, his eyes following his mate as she looks for a table to sit at.
“She’s right there. The one with the blue hair.”
Grayson smiles, clapping Damian on the shoulder.
“She’s pretty.”
Damian snorts responding without even thinking.
“She’s beautiful, Grayson. ‘Pretty’ doesn’t even scratch the surface.”
Grayson coos at Damian, being thoroughly ignored.
Damian starts walking towards her, intent on introducing himself when he catches another scent just beneath hers.
Another male’s scent.
He freezes in place making Grayson stop his cooing to instead question him.
“What's wrong? Is it not her?”
Damian watches as she walks to a seat at an empty table away from the rest of her group.
“She-”
Damian cuts off as he watches someone stick out their foot and trip her. Her lunch spills everywhere as she falls to the floor.
Not thinking twice he rushes over to her, holding out his hand and helping her up.
Just like Grayson said little shocks travel up and down his arm and he finds himself never wanting to let go.
She has the most beautiful blue eyes he's ever seen and the most angelic voice he's eve- Oh wait she's talking.
“I’m so sorry! I wasn’t looking where I was going and tripped, I’m so sorry!”
Damian just shakes his head, motioning for one of the janitors to come over and clean up the mess.
When he arrives she automatically drops down beside him to help pick up the mess muttering apologize the entire time.
Damian shifts his hand to her shoulder, subconsciously marking her with his scent and trying to overpower the other males.
“It’s fine honey, this stuff happens all the time. Why don’t you go hop back in line and get another tray? We wouldn’t want you to go hungry now.”
With the janitor's gentle prodding she finally stands up and gets another tray.
On her way back, Damian makes sure to keep an eye out for anyone else who wants to trip her.
The rest of lunch goes smoothly as she takes a seat at the table she was heading to and Damian watches her from his spot next to his brother.
Everything goes fine until they are about to finish the tour. A guy with blonde hair roughly grabs the girl with blue hair pulling her off to the side.
“Ow! Adrien, what’s wrong?”
Damian watches from Grayson's side, wanting to go help but certain she can handle herself.
“You know exactly what you did, Marinette. Don’t play stupid.”
A low growl leaves his chest as his mate is insulted.
“Adrien, you’re not making any sense. What did I do?”
He grabs both her wrists, shaking her violently.
“You belong to me! You are mine Marinette! Trying to get me jealous by flirting with that other guy? Really?! How low can you sink?! It's pathetic!”
She pushes away from him, rubbing at her wrists with the start of a bruise forming.
Damian starts to make his way over, a low, vicious rumbling in the back of his throat.
Grayson, seeing how mad Damian follows him.
“What the hell are you talking about?! I wasn’t flirting with anyone! I fell because Lila stuck her foot out and tripped me! It wasn’t my fault!”
Their argument starts to attract the attention of the other workers, a few running to find security.
Damian starts running as he watches the guy's hand clench before raising it.
He strikes her. Hard.
‘Marinette’ being caught off guard, loses her balance and falls to the ground, turning to look at him before he roughly grabs her by one of her pigtails and pulls her up to his face, and screams at her.
“Don’t talk back to me! I own you and you will do as I say! Do you understand?!”
She pushes him away.
“Whoever decided that you were my true mate was wrong. Dead wrong!”
He snarls, pulling his fist back to strike her.
Damian gets there first.
The next thing everyone knows is Damian Wayne is standing protectively in front of the girl and the guy is several feet away clutching his cheek and groaning.
Grayson kneels next to Marinette, helping her to her feet and taking Damian’s coat from his outstretched hand to wrap around her shoulders.
“Are you okay?”
She nods as he pulls her closer to him away from the fight that is likely to break out before a loud screeching voice cuts through the air.
“True mates? With him? Please Marinette, I knew you were ignorant but I didn’t think you were stupid. I am Adriens true mate. Not you.”
Damian stands up making his way to Marinette, taking her in his arms as she starts to shake.
“What are you talking about Lila? Adrien was there on my birthday, he said we were mates!”
‘Lila’ cackles as other people gasp, some with their phones out recording the entire thing.
“Oh please, did you just take his word for it? Why didn’t you just check his scent? That’s always been the easiest way to tell. Go ahead, I won’t even mess with you.”
She stays frozen looking straight at the boy claiming to be her mate.
“I can’t. I lost my sense of smell when I was a kid. I couldn’t check even if I wanted to.”
Lila looks surprised now, before looking on sadly.
“You really had no idea he was lying, did you?”
She starts shaking, taking a hesitant step towards Adrien.
“Adrien? W-what's she talking about? It’s not true. Is it?”
Her voice ends in a broken whisper, eyes tearing up as he slowly stands up and walks to her.
“You are mine, Marinette. You were mine the moment you put on those earrings. I mean seriously if I don’t take you who will?”
She flinches as he steps closer, his voice getting louder with hysteria.
“Nobody likes you, Mari! I am all you have left now! You want to leave me? HA! I’d like to see you try it.”
At the end of his ‘speech’ he roughly grabs her arm pulling a whimper from her and a very, VERY dangerous sounding snarl from Damian.
Ripping Adrien's hand from her arm while being as gentle as possible to not hurt her he pulls her behind him handing her off to his brothers entrusting them to take care of her.
“Who do you think you are grabbing her like that?”
The words are accentuated with the deep growl rumbling from his chest.
“I don’t see how it's any of your business, what I do with MY personal belongings.”
Damian picks Adrien up by his neck slamming him against the nearest wall.
“Don’t talk about her like she's an object.”
Adrien, being the Buffon with no sense of self-preservation he is, laughs.
“Oh yeah? What's it to you how I treat her? Not like you would want her for anything other than her body anyway.”
Adrien sneers down at Damian, even as he slowly starts to turn purple in the face from his grip on his neck.
Slowly tightening his grip even more he watches as the blonde idiot starts to flail from the lack of breathing. Fighting to get a single breath of air.
“Do not act as if I would ever treat my mate in such a way.”
His voice is deadly, sending shivers down even the security guards spines.
Everyone watches on, some with their phones recording, certain that they are about to see Damian Wayne, their bosses son, about to commit a murder in the lobby.
And no one is even going to try and stop him.
That is until a small pale hand lands on his arm, shooting sparks all the way to his heart.
“Is it true? Are you really my true mate?”
Damian nods ever so slowly, never taking his eyes off the blonde who is slowly losing consciousness.
Two thin, lethal arms wrap around his waist from behind.
“Please stop. I just want to leave right now. Will you take me?”
Without another word Damian drops the barely conscious man, taking his coat off and wrapping it around Marinette's shoulders, tucking her into his side as he swiftly walks her out of the building.
Adrien slowly gets up, trying to chase after them only to be cut short by the three eldest Wayne brothers.
All armed with glares that could kill.
Behind them stands all of the Wayne enterprises employees, making a human barrier between the newly found mates and Adrien.
The brother with the white piece of hair steps forward pushing Adrien back down to the ground.
“I think we need to have a little talk.”

I have a head cannon that bakugou would not be sweet to who he liked or dated and instead deny it and hate on them even more.
The reason being because he doesn’t really understand feelings so, when he’s talking badly about you he just assumes it’s normal and a bit funny at the lies he’s spitting that his just continuously friends are eating up.
he’s been talking bad about people for years so , who cares if your his s/o your no acceptation all people are equal in his mind. Now lemme explain please fall in line and hold a buddys hand kids we’re going on a trip inside my brain
It wasn’t easy getting the spiky haired male to ask you out honestly if someone asked you , which they’d never dare since they’d never know per bakugous request him saying it’s not their business , how you two got together you would shrug your shoulders and walk off.
It wasn’t that it was a boring day or a simple question that you supplied the answer for. It was that it was unusual.
You’d been at quirk practice after school in the gym like you’d usually do only this time bakugou made his way over to you.
You’d been seeing him more often when you were in the gym and you weren’t sure why until he explained that he was interested in your workout routine saying you two could have a contest to see who’s was more grueling
It seemed like fun so like any competitive person you agreed. Only for him to tap out on day two your laughs swirling around the gym as he fought so hard to say he only lost because he just didn’t like how the air would hit his ass crack anytime he did your little girly squats you’d wrote down for him.
You couldn’t say you weren’t both confused and happy when he let the air calm down before he spoke “ i’m kind of conflicted “ his eyes coming up to look at yours from the floor “ could you maybe help me“
“ of course what’s up “
“ i’m at a standstill “
“ more like a sit still “ you joked eyes peering down at his straight face “ yeah ok let’s imagine that didn’t happen —continue “
“ uh yeah anyways — i’m at a standstill because honestly I like your shit workout “ he shook his head to the floor “ but I also like you so I find myself thinking if I couldn’t get through your workout even though I enjoyed it so much could I “
his voice rasped shakily “ could I get through a relationship with you even though I like you even more “
truthfully you’d wish you’d said no because right now you wanted nothing more than to just be friends with the male sitting across the room from you.
It’s not that you didn’t like him of course you did he was hot , smart, and felt strongly about his goals but, he was an asshole.
Not in the aspect of hes just mean and rude but he was an all around prick as he laughed with his friends from across the room.
Their voices only getting louder as you sat alone a few seats away from them trying to complete some work on your desk you’d just been given “ dude gotta admit class 1-A’s got some hot chicks “
“ yeah honestly minas top three if we’re being truthful “
“mina dude come on have you seen jirou “
“ don’t even get me started “ denkis voice came out in a soft groan “ god I would— “
“ yeah yeah all that jazz but “ seros voice came out soft. His hand coming up to point at the seat as you sat in with your head down eyes furrowed in anger at the math on your paper that wasn’t syncing up with your brain right now
“ y/n “ his fist tightened as he groaned “ y/n could get it on all accounts — the car “
“ you don’t have a car “ denkis voice came out as sero continued
“ the school bathroom “
“ but which one ? because one of you would have to go in the wrong sex’s unless its a handicap or family stal-“
“the fucking dorms “
“ y/n ? “ kirishima asked quickly “ y/n l/n ? “
“ fuck yeah “
“ hmm “ kirishima studied you before shaking his head “ honestly kinda hot never really paid attention to that stuff before though “
“ what the fuck how can’t you “
“ uh i’m more so a personality guy “
“ so by personality would you fuck em ‘ “
“ not to be vulgar but of course “ his answer taking no time “ y’know how fun they’d be in a relationship though not just with sex ? imagine cuddles—fuck —what about cuddle monster y/n maybe ? god that’d be so hot “
denki getting restless as he held his thoughts in from the other males. His mind spazzing before finally getting to speak “ i’d fuck her too “ he yelled everyone’s eyes going sharp on the boy before he coughed “ id rock it too — we’re talking about getting mullets “
“ oh boys that’d be kinda hot “ you said laughing sarcastically sero turning to you smiling softly “ oh yeah on who in particular “
“ mm totally blondie over there “
“ the fuck ? “ his eyes shot away from denkis and moved to yours anger pouring through his gaze making you jerk back a little in surprise “ the hell you mean i’d look hot “
your eyebrows creased “ well because I — you do you would “
“ don’t go talking out of your ass you hear me—shit people like you don’t deserve to talk to anyone about looks “ your mouth went dry at his lazer stare.
His lips curling up into a smirk before he shook his head “ these assholes are talking about fucking you yknow “ he whispered to you “ you gonna let em ? you gonna let em right? because that’s the only attention you’d ever get right “
“ bakubro hold up chill out “
“ yeah bakubro chill out “ you said your gaze wavering from the hard one you’d had when you felt the heat radiating off of him no comfort coming from him to you only confusing you more. Had you two been in a secret argument that you knew nothing about
“ whatever “ he leaned back in his chair as the class went back to what they were doing your hands gripping the pencil when the class got even louder but you only searching for your boyfriends voice easily drowning out the others
“ i’d never fuck “ your heart broke at the deep voice youd identified
“ dude seriously come on with the lies —fucking beautiful “
“ correctomundo my friend their absolutely stunning “
his laugh ripping through their claims hand jerking back to point at you “ you think their beautiful much less hot ? “
“ yeah you don’t ? “ denki spat all of them looking at the boy like he was crazy for enjoying this obviously racy topic right now much less taking the wrong side of the debate
“ I literally just sat here and said I wouldn’t fuck em’ pokémon —so you can guess what that correlates to “
“ hey dude why’re you being sucha a dick —the personality’s top tier even if your stupid enough to think their not at least hot“ kirishima putting the ending words in quotation marks honestly a bit upset with his friend
“ hey watch it your over here defending an extra like your gonna make moves on em “ he laughed “ I advise otherwise “
you let out a sigh thinking he’d finally stopped acting the way he was. Your mind preparing to only give him the silent treatment for today and then tomorrow peppering him with kisses until he laughed and apologized for his words
Heart only being snatched away from your body when you heard his deep vibrating voice cut through the room “ probably gonna give you a rash from all the shit that’s on their mouth all the time “
it’s just lipgloss.
Lipgloss bakugou bought you packs of earlier this week after he swore he loved the taste and scent.
moving to wipe at it gently with the sleeve of your outfit him still going causing tears to start building up in your eyes “ bet the bitch doesn’t even shower —had em’ over for a project last night had to wash my sheets and blanket —took hours last night “
“ oh “ denki let out “ I was a bit confused when I saw you at the laundry room at 3 in the morning.
Tears blurring your vision as you thought about his earlier words when he’d given you your favorite sweater of his after saying he’d washed it for you because he knew you wouldn’t do it yourself because in his words ‘ you would never wash it without his help because you were a creep and didn’t want to erase his smell or some shit ‘
“ yeah —smelled so bad im telling you stay away you don’t wanna ask em’ out “
you moved to grab your phone as he kept talking you typing out a message as best as you could before hitting send. His hand moving off the desk and going in his pants pocket to pull his phone out keeping it hidden under the table eyes trailing over the screen
Firefighter >3
baby are we arguing
if your mad at me please just tell me don’t just talk shit about me in front of your friends
him locking his phone and placing it on his desk before you typed out one more message him letting out a sigh as he grabbed for it again
firefighter >3
if you keep going we’re over
“ but imagine whoever bags them apart from bakugou at least since we all know he’s all anti hot y/n “
“ they’d be so lucky “
“ yeah right “ he spoke lowly almost trying to hide his voice from you eyes glued to his phone “ wouldn’t dare “
“ wouldnt dare what bakugou “
“ oh wouldnt dare be —-be lucky “ he locked his phone again “ feel bad for the person dating them all the shit they gotta go through put up with , claims they make through message and not with real words, being too much of a pussy to speak up for themselves“
he shook his head softly eyes twitching “ you wouldn’t put up with that —you couldn’t put up with that your not built for it you gotta have tough skin y’know like me “
he licked his lips moving to sit up straighter when hearing his phone vibrate “ don’t uh “
firefighter >3
one more bakugou
one more bakugou katsuki and were over
his eyes darting over to yours before his eyebrows furrowed and body shook in anxiousness he couldn’t figure out what to do.
He was an asshole you knew this so why the fuck were you being such a crybaby now? did he pick the wrong person to date he thought you were strong
He genuinely just wanted to keep these creeps away from what’s his by scaring them off he wasn’t doing anything wrong? well at least in his eyes
He moved to talk again trying his best to string together a nice sentence “ just don’t uh ask —ask em’ out —-their utter dog shit when it comes to relationships leave it to someone who can handle that y’know “
he relaxed into his chair at his victory when he watched you throw your phone to the table and fix your skirt and standup. Him sighing out when you picked up your stuff to leave “ thank all might “ he whispered head shooting to lean back against his desk chair and look up at the sky blood running cold when his phone vibrated against the table
firefighter >3
all your shits gonna be outside my dorm door. So you might want to come collect it before I have half and half lighting campfires tonight
y’know since i’m such a shit person —gotta hope your bestie deku can give me some after school lessons on personalities. He’s so sweet I bet he’ll fix me right up
screw you katsuki see you in hell
“ the —the fuck what did —the hell did I do wrong “ he screamed when he saw you slam the classroom door after flicking him off
his friends eyes moving from the door to bakugous phone that he’d thrown on the table.
Todorokis eyes going wide when he read his stupid nickname given to him by the steamy male “ I —I uh“ he coughed “ I think i’m gonna go help y/n since their now single—don’t want em’ getting hurt with amateur fire starters again when i’m right here “
his stone face peered down at the red faced boy “ I mean that is ok with you bakugou seeing as though you two were most likely in a relationship by the messages before today “
“ you asshole did you go through me and my s/o’s messages “
“ judging by the series of recent text I don’t believe that’s the case for you two anymore “ he reached to grab his backpack saying a formal goodbye before he spoke “ I feel like i’m needed by a very —very perfectly intelligent unshitty person right now “
seros voice coming out softly as he let bakugous phone fall to the table disappointment in his eyes “ look uh —dude you didn’t have to mess your relationship up just to go against us ? “ he winced at the claim“ honestly you could’ve stayed quiet the whole time —it’s not like we agreed with you anyways “
bakugou leaned back in his chair anger swirling in his stomach as he felt his body sweat at the new heat spreading throughout his whole body.
How the hell did he mess up where the hell did he mess up he explained to you he wasn’t gonna treat you any differently than any other extra here and that went for basic conversations too
Maybe he went a bit far with the dont date em ‘ that was probably it you didn’t like how he said don’t date you because he was the only one who could handle you right ?
He shook his head a bit confused you just wanted him to say that you could handle yourself and didn’t need him right ?
So , why the hell did he feel like he’d done something wrong he wasn’t stupid but he just wasn’t well versed in feelings. He already didn’t know how to handle his own so how was he expected to handle another persons.
To him his words were normal he talked about all people like this hell, he bullied deku for 3 years going as far as to make a special nickname for him
that wasn’t even the worse he could’ve done and you knew that so why was he in trouble and worrying about Icy hot taking his place
He was honestly confused?
Could words really be that hurtful?
could his words really be that hurtful ?

Having Kendo Rappa as a roommate is an interesting feat in itself. He is big, and loud , very very loud. He wasn't a bad roommate he just..was like a cute large and fluffy puppy that didn't know his size...or power. Their interactions started as the two met during a halloween party one of the frat houses down the street thew. [ ] went as Midna, her best friend Rumi was dressed as Impa while the last two of her friend group , Amaya and Asa, a pair of sisters, were dressed as fairies. “[ ]! Rumi! you two are so cute! Zelda costumes?” Asa asked as her sister ran up to admire their outfits. “Yeah! [ ] wanted to do some characters that matched us y'know?” She said as she nudged her quiet friend , the girl jumped and laughed , scratching her neck as she gave the excited sisters a small smile “If i was coming out tonight I was gonna wear what i wanted to really wear” [ ] said as the group of them laughed and mingled with their other friends and classmates. While heading to get juice , she heard loud screaming , as the sport boys were starting to show up. First was the football team, then the basketball. Baseball and wrestling came next, then the smaller clubs finished them out. Sighing [ ] was content away from everyone as she watched mayhem ensure, chugging of barrels , more music, girls swarming around the players they crushed on as they did minor things, like talk to their teammates or eating from one of the big food trays laying around. Feeling a tap on her shoulder broke her from her people watching, Rumi giving her a bright smile as she took a cup and joined her. “How's my favorite antisocial babe doing now that all of the party has arrived?” She asked as [ ] gave her a pained smile, going to get more if something to drink “Well I don't feel the need to smack anyone is that a good sign?” she chuckled as she got a hug from the more energetic girl “That's my girl! Don't worry, i wanna get out asap but we’re gonna need our favourite pair of sisters before that can happen and it seems like they're fawning over some of the baseball boys as we speak” Rumi said as they watched a familiar tutu of blue go by, followed by a pink one going a similar way. “I don't get it… but at least their taste in men isn't too bad” [ ] joked as Rumi agreed , laughing “Yeah miss tsundere, you can't stand saps, or most of the jocks either” giving the white haired girl a look she rolled her eyes and gave her own laugh back “Yeah I guess i'm either picky or just got high standards” “Ain't nothing wrong with that we all do!” She said as she elbowed the girl beside her.
As the two of them sat there and talked Rumi glanced past her and her eyes widened, causing [ ] to stop talking “What is it-” before she could question her, the white haired girl jumped up, waving at someone “Rap! Over here!” Constantly yelling to someone [ ] started to ask again when a booming voice came from above her “HEY RUMI” a very loud voice called as stomping could be heard before it stopped “I see you took our idea huh?” With that comment [ ] turned around only to be face to face with a dark cover chest, only to then look up to some of the most warm and amber colored eyes looking down at her “Hello there little lady, I like your costume! Erm..Midna aint it?” The giant ganon dressed man questioned as all she could do was shake her head in agreement, causing the giant male to laugh “Awe don't be shy of me kitten i ain't gonna bite!” He chuckled some more as her friend jumped in “I told you she was shy! Be nice Rappa!” Rumi yelled at the flaming red head as he gave her a toothy grin “Oh I was just teasin’ , I bet I ain't hurt her feelin’s did I sweetheart?” Rappa questioned as [ ] face felt hot, hiding her face in her hands as the teasing duo laughed causing the girl to huff “I'm tired of you two already” She said as a giant warm hand touched her shoulders “Awe dont be like that hun, in time ya’l love me” Rappa teased as he gave her a smile, making her stomach flutter “Yeah! This is who wanted you to meet anyway [ ]! This is Kendo Rappa, our top wrestling boy, Rappa this is my adorable best friend [ ]!” Rumi said as the two gave each other a shy smile , a sly one creeping up on Rumis as she thought to herself “Yeah, this'll definitely happen”
Since then the two had become more acquainted , having many classes together and sharing some similar friends [ ] was used to the bruting and sometimes dense man making a random ( and loud) appearance. As [ ] sat in her mostly empty room thanks to her last roommate moving out after constantly breaking sound rules and getting into it with the girl downstairs for being in her bed with her boyfriend (Yikes) she felt a sense of calm. Closing her chemistry book and letting out a relieved sigh [ ] thought about the fact she was going to get a new roommate, the thought was nerve wracking but also it was exciting as well. It was almost too quiet , having the last room by the stairs meant she didn't have to deal with many people besides her friend group. They weren't loud , unless one of her friends decided to get laid and made way too many sounds, or if their neighbors under them threw parties or also had...extra partners coming around. She definitely could feel she was sorta excited she was going to have a roommate again. The sisters had a room to the left of her while Rumi had the one to the right, sharing it with a girl they knew from math. The rooms were not gender defined, some girls having rooms with guys and vise versa so it made it easy to get a room.
These dorms were also quite spacious, the walls not paper thin and a large enough area space that could house two or maybe even three people. So when she heard a knock on her door she expected it to be her new roommate she was advised would come today. Happily opening the door she was shocked and almost terrified to see just a box, well actually a few boxed stacked hiding whoever it was behind them. But if the faed rustic orange hair and wide shoulders meant anything she knew her new roommate already “K-kendo?” [ ] said as the boxes walked by her , landing with a soft thud as bangs covered the male “[ ]? Is that you?” moving his hair out of the way their eyes had the same expression, shocked. “Uh h-hey there sweetheart why isn't this cute, we’re roomies hun?” he laughed as she couldn't help but give him a smile back. “I never expected to see you as my roommate” [ ] teased as Rappa gave her a hardy laugh “Well it looks like me and you are gonna be close friends here darlin’!” With a wide smile he picked her up and gave her a tight hug, taking her breath away ‘ Oh boy i wonder how this will turn out’ she thought as she was eye leve with her giant puppy like friend, his eyes filled of joy
Which leads into now, [ ] trying her hardest to read up on what her next project could be. As she sat there thinking she heard the tale tell sound of her roommate entering with some of his teammates, the boys loud and rambunctious as they entered. Feeling a heavy hand on her shoulder she looked up to the towering boy that was her roommate, his eyes just as bright as usual. “Hey darlin, we're just gonna talk up sum strats a for the upcoming match and play some games in the back , is that alright?” He asked with pleading eyes as one of his more cocky and jock like friends spoke up “Well youre the man here, dont let some women say if we cant or can be here” Rolling her eyes and proceeding to stand up and push past the wide eyed boy who knew what was going to happen. [ ] took in a breath before opening her eyes to look up to the boy “Well it is my room, i pay shit here and the man over there didnt get this place, so i do choose who can and cant come through my place” She said as she pointed a finger to the boys chest. Trying to push his luck he pushed back against her finger “ I bet you just haven’t gotten a good enough dicking for you to just stay out of the way” He laughed. Before [ ] could hit him hard enough her rust haired friend moved in , clearly towering the boy “Yer better watch yer mouth, she has her right around here, im invatin her space so watch it before there's no place for any of us to relax without rules” He said as the boy sucked up any laughing and nodded his head in understanding. Surprised by her usually aloof roommate [ ] stood back and went back to her work, the other boys scrambling behind kendo as the boy who tried to challenge her jumped to follow, never making a move to mock or do anything again.
The boys picked back up and were having fun in the back room of kendo’s , sighs and groans when they lost and victorious laughs and screams if someone won. Once they all left and everything settle to a quiet rumble as the last few funneled out [ ] could here herself think, reading up on chemistry as she felt a presence behind her. “ ‘M sorry, i didn't know my question wouldve cause a roar outta ya..” Kendo started as she smiled gently, turning to face the wounded boy “Its okay….guess it just lit something in me i always did y'know?” She said with a small laugh as she went to type again, but was stopped by the hulking boy. “I gotta make it up to ya alright? I know i aint say anythin that he did but…. It feels like my fault y'know?” He admitted as his large hand covered hers. “You wont live this down will you?” She questioned as his eyes flickered up to hers, sparking. “Nope, not at all. Lemme treat ya right okay?” For such innocent words [ ] couldnt help the shiver that ran down her back at his words. Maybe it was because he was so close, or that the smell of his cologne was too much, either way her head was spinning as she let him still hold her hand as he tugged her away from her computer , his smile widening as she reluctantly shut the bright screen “Great! Now let's get something to eat im starvin” He rasped out as [ ] gave him a giggle that made the boy stop in his tracks. He always thought she had a cute giggle but this one,for some reason , made his heart and chest feel warm and tight. Ignoring the feeling he took the girl with him, the two headed out to get something to eat as they headed down , the sound of her giggling still running though kendos mind.
Getting a random frantic text from Kendo wasn't unusual, in fact it was quite common for him to do such, which now didn't faze [ ] at all but this one was...particularly odd giving what he was asking ‘Hair? And messy? What in the world is he up to’ [. ] thought to herself as she headed to her shared room with the boy, nervous of what scene she could be entering.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sighing after his last text she hurried her way to their dorm room and in fact he did leave the door open, making her more nervous as she entered the living room. “Kendo?” [ ] called out as she heard a gruff sound come from her bathroom. Entering was a sight of its own; towels, a bowl of some..substance , bags and bottles of body wash and a one flustered and shirtless Kendo. “[ ]! ‘M so glad yer home here take this” The large man said as he handed her an old toothbrush that was frayed and covered with the same odd substance in the bowl. The lingering smell from the room eventually gave it away ; shampoos. “Uh why do i need this? And why is there shampoo on a toothbrush” She questioned as he groaned, taking the towel off his head as she blinked owlishly at his very faded red orange hair, the color now more of a neon pumpkin. Shaking off extra water caused even more of his hair to fall, landing between his shoulder blades as he gave [ ] a desperate look. “It wont come out, and the more i scub the more...orange i become. I look like a orange peel” He whined as [ ] figured out what he was trying to do
“ You wanna remove the color right? A bowl of shampoo and body wash isnt strong enough” Going into their kitchen she grabbed some baking soda and lemon juice , coming back to the hopeless boy “Let me mix something up ive used before okay? Then we can proceed with your hair” Two and a half hours later the boys hair was now a light peachy orange, just light enough to take up with bleach “Well, if were gonna go for blonde ill go get some bleach and some masks, deep conditioners too, your hair is definitely gonna need it and I don’t want it breaking off because you're impatient to take care of it” she sighed as he was amazed at his hair, running a large hand through the still damp mess atop his head “Wow yer good” He said as she smiled at him, taking her keys “And you have a lot of hair. I'll be back” She said as she hopped up “Wait! Lemme go with you?” He asked but also seemed to demand, pleading eyes looking down at hers as wet hair dropped onto his still bare chest.
Trying not to be hypnotized by where they landed and proceeded to slide down she looked up at her amber eyed friend, who was staring intently as he waited for her answer, soft “Please?” coming from his lips. Sighing dramatically on purpose [ ] laughed at him, giving him a grin “of course you can you big puppy” she said as he picked her up in a hug, a gesture that shows his excitement she's come to learn. Putting her down he went to go to the door before his friend called him out “uhm Kendo? You don’t have on a shirt” she said plainly as he looked at her, raising a brow as he gave his rebuttal “Its hot” He responded. Giving him a side eyed look she turned from him and towards their bedrooms, [ ] sliding into his. Soon she came out with a sleeveless one, throwing it at the hulk of a guy infront of her “You can't come in the store without one” She said as he gave a growl of his own, sliding the shirt over his head as they left their apartment “Well at least ya got me one without sleeves” He huffed as they started back to the door, heading out to finally go to the store to start another process on Kendos hair, the male just excited to finally get rid of his pumpkin hair.
As Kendo sat in the shared living room with [ ] , deep conditioning his hair at her yelling request (‘If you dont re nourish it before you want me to bleach it , I won't do it!’ ) he watched his roommate and now his best friend wanderer around and do housley things for their apartment, the girl content as she cleaned and sorted out things in the kitchen, her body turned away from him as he started to think over how beautiful he thought she was. He want the type to brag or gloat about having so many girls comment on his size , height wised and well sometimes other ways , trying to tempt him to them. All while his friends wanted him to explain how he got the attention from the other gender , Kendo hated to admit it but ,he only wanted his roommates' affection. He knew how put together she was, smart and kind. He saw what her previous boyfriend did, a cheater that didnt take care of the beautiful soul he lived with. He couldnt stand seeing her come home and cry herself to sleep broke his heart, and when he fought the cheater, in the act he didnt feel bad once. Of course it ended their relationship, and [ ] yelled at him for fighting , explaining how he couldve ended in jail for fighting her ex, but he argued it would be worth it.
Sitting and mulling over everything he realized Rumi was right, hed do anything for [ ] but not the same for the other females that passed through his life. She actually, was the first person he did that for and that thought made his head dizzy. Moving from his place on the couch he went to stand in the kitchen, waiting for [ ] to come back from her room. Hearing the iconic sound of her feet pittering across the wooden floor he gave her a lopsided smile as she jumped, smacking into the chest of Kendo. Before [ ] could fall from impacting with his chest he caught her, holding her arm to his chest. “K-kendo! You shouldve told me you were in here! Why are you in here anyway?”[ ] scolded as he laughed, moving out of the shorter girl's way as he started his staring again, this time [ ] noticed him “......What?” She asked as he looked down at her, an unreadable look on his face. “Kendo” she called as he hummed, moving closer “Yer gorgeous” Kendo blurted out as [ ] started to stutter, eyes going wide. Taking teo steps forward he essentially trapped his friend between the corner of their kitchen canopy. “Remember when I fought that bastard of an ex you had?” Kendo asked as he saw [ ]’s eyes go soft , shaking her head “What about him...i'm still mad you almost lost everything just to fight him yknow” she huffed as he poked her cheek “Id do it again if it meant you'd be happy again yaknow” Kendo said as he leaned down to push his head against hers, amber and [ ] eyes mingling. Lifting his large hands he traced each side of her cheek, analyzing over her face as he nuzzled against her nose “Stop playin hard to get would ya? Bad enough you got my heart all in your little hands” he whispered as [ ] just started at the giant , her arms gently coming over to cover his that were place on her cheeks “K-ken..i need to start you hair..” She hopelessly try to argue as he groaned, burying his face into her neck. Squealing at his damp hair touching her shoulder [ ] jumped ,pushing the large boy back “Your hair's wet!” She whined as he chuckleed, mo\ving back as it turned into a booming laugh “Oh my ‘m sorry babe , you look surprised” He said as she smacked hsi chest “Go to the sink, i need to rinse the conditioner” She yelled as he hwld his hands up in a mocked surrender, pulling his shirt up and off in one fluid movement. Caught up by him stripping his shirt off [ ] gave him a glance over, the heaviness of him admitting feelings for her in his own unique way still lingering in her mind as the toned and strong back of her friend made her head hazy. Turning around from the lack of notice of his smaller friend Kendo caught the eys of [ ] staring, her eyes quickly flickering to his curious ones as he grinned “See somethin you like darlin?” He teased as she grunted, reaching up to push his head in the sink “Shut up and let me do your hair”
And like clockwork, Kendo rappa was an icy blonde after two days, a break given to his long ,thick and wavy hair, the giant boy looking over his new look as he sighed happily, loving to have his hair finally look normal. “Well damn [ ]! Ya made it even better than what i was thinking. Look! My hair’s all wavy at the ends and it's soft! Whatever you made me do made it feel better!” He raved as the girl looked over her work. And in fact it was highly even, his hair consistent and lavishy soft. Giving him a shy look she giggle “That's what a deep conditioner will do to damage hair and the way i'm always untangling your hair for you, i knew it would need it before you wanted to go white” She said as he just kept running his hands in his hair, turning back to her “I could just kiss you right now!” He blurted out as they both froze at his words, eyes wide from both parties “I-I aint mean it [ ]” He croaked out as she giggled, stepping back from him “O-of course you didnt, why would you i mean aha..”She said as she moved away more , his own words started to hit him as he realized the reverse effect it was having “NO! No, I'd want to kiss you, I really really want to. I just...want it to be on your terms okay?” he said as he grabbed her arm, holding her in front of him as if she'd float away if he didnt.
“Kendo...I..” [ ] started as she came back to his hip, laying between his legs onto his thankfully covered chest “I just dont want to lose you if you decide you wouldnt want me around” She whispered as he pulled her even closer, kissing her forehead as he stared at her “Dont you ever say that again ya hear me? Youll be my princess and ill be your humble er..knight” He hesitated as he tried to think of a sweet way to explain his feelings. [ ] looked up to him as she felt here eyes feel heavy with tears. Before one even fell Kendo pushed his lips as soft as the strong boy could, wrapping a large and beefy arm around her waist as he slipped his tongue in her mouth, letting his hand slide down to pull her up to sit on the tops of his thighs while he leaned against his dresser. Softly [ ] pushed her hand on his chest and pulled away, now eye to eye with Kendo “Sorry , d-did i overstep my place” He asked as she let out a snot, before laughing. Confused, Kendo went to talk before she stopped him “No no, youre good, just that if we keep kissing on this dressed there's gonna be a hole in the wall” She said as she pointed to where the mirror kept tapping a spot, scrapes already aroring it “R-right!” He laughed too, picking her up to set her on his bed “Now then...lemme serve you princess” He said before kissing her again, not letting her rebuttal his own comment. As the two kissed he made sure to be as gentle as he could be , at times clumsily nipping her lip or his hand pulling hard at her clothes.
All in the name of wanting to show how much she meant to him. Soon he pulled away, a small string of saliva strung between them from the hearty kissing. “[ ]...i think i love you” He said as she gave him a soft look , trying to catch her breath from the dramatic kiss they came from “Good, because i love your loud ass too Kendo” She teased as he smirked, leaning down to bite her neck, causing her to moan loudly “We’ll see whos loud after im done wit ya” he gave his own tease back as he moved between her plump thighs, kissing the flesh there as he pulled her shorts to the side, exposing her flushed lower lips. Gasping she reached for his hand that held her legs apart causing the fresh blonde to look up at her, eyes wandering over her face for signs of him to stop “I-Im not used to being this bare sorry..” She whimpered out as it dawned on the other side of her words “Have you ever ate out baby?” he asked as she hid her face from him, shaking ehr head as he groaned, pulling her shorts down as he saw her lacy panties , a smirk placed on his lips as he peeled them off too, a string of arousal keeping them plastered to her lips “fuck, that bastared really didnt take care of you” he growled as she sat up to see his darkening eyes kiss up to her lips whispering out a “but i will” as he sucked one of her lips into his mouth, causing a lound moan from the woman he was inbetween. Slowly he licked up her lips, searching for that small pearl as she whined, a hand coming down to tug his hair. Grunting he soon found it, sucking onto her clit as she gasped, her thighs shutting over his head as he looked up to her, watching as her back arched off of the bed once her pressed his tongue hard against her clit. Softly he let a hand run under her thigh, a single thick finger tracing over her twitching hole as he pushed it in gently, making [ ] squeal. “K-Ken!” She called out as he looked up again, catching her eyes and flushed face on his actions. Making a show of what he was doing he let a second one join the first as he sucked hard on her bud at the same time making [ ]’s eyes roll back as her hand fell from his head, nervous od pulling too hard. Kendo however had other plans. Feeling her walls tighten around his fingers he made sure to find that spongy spot and hitting it, finally pulling his lips from her clit as he smiled “Uuh Uh doll, look at me” He growled as she hesitantly glances at him, regretting that she did. He looked way too good, hair a mess as he was panting, catching his breath from being down on her. With evry pump of his fingers his muscle in his arm twitched, making her own walls spasm as she watched it “Ya like it sweetheart?” He asked as she shook her head, watching him move back to her pussy “Good, cause i aint done” He said as he gave her clit kitten licks beofe slurping on it, throwing a wink at her as he picked up his pace, making [ ]’s voice rise as she felt herself getting close before quickly snapping at a particular hard thrust of his finger to her spot on her walls.
Letting out a light scream she came over his fingers and tongue, the male laughing gleefully as he sucked up her juices. LEtting her come down some he watched her face as bliss spread through her body and a sense of confidence whent though his. Slowly he picked up the pace of his fingers again, going from a shallow push to more stroking as he heard [ ] whine, grabbing at his hand “Uh uh sweetheart, you taste too good fro me to only let you cum on my tongue once” he said as he pushed her down by her stomach, letting her take his spare hand as he went back to suckling on her lower lips. He knew he had a lot in stored for her, and watching the newly admitted love of his life cum from his pleasing was enough for him to realized he needed to do more. Popping off her clit as puling his fingers gently out he looked at her ravished body, using his non wet hand to pull at his sweats. “Youre beautiful like this [ ]” kendo said as she took in heavy breaths, feeling her throat close as he stroked his massive size, rubbing the swollen head as he looked at her , giving her a soft smile “Ya dont have to take me just yet , hes just throbbin too much” He groaned as he twisted his hand hard over his leaking tip, feeling himself throb as he laid back on his bed. “Ride my face?” he asked with one of the most sinful looks [ ] had ever seen ; lustful eyes watching her as his large hand stroked his larger dick, the soft and fleshy muscle jumping at watching her crawl to him, throwing a leg over his neck
“I-i dont wanna suffocate you..” She said as he smirked before saying “Ya cant suffocate me i want it” Soon he grabbed her hip, pushing her onto his awaiting mouth as he picked up his pace, sliding his tongue into her twitching hole as she rocked her hips, keeping a steady pace as she held herself on his shoulder and headboard, ,depreate moand and cries tumbling out as he rocked her too, going from her clit to her dripping entrance, stoking his dick harder and harde as her moans spurred him on. Soon he felt the bud in his mouth twitch and throb harder, the sounds [ ] made increasing as his own hand sped up with his throbbing head, the telltales of them both getting close. A moan erruptred from the girl on his lips as she came again , her essence running down his face as he groaned, ropes of cum shooting onto his hand and stomach as he came himself, still stroking out what he could as the pressure he felt subside. Sliding off softly [ ] saw the mess behind her, taking it upon herself to lick up some of it as she was met with his same aber eyes, watching her move to his still hard member “Let me take care of you too?” she asked shyly. Fuck he was done for as he felt himslef hardend worse at her words, a large hand coming up to smack her ass as he psuhed her up and over his head, letting his tip and her swollen lips run over eachother. Slowly he pushed his tip past her budding lips, entranced by the way it swallowed her whole “Fuck...i love you [ ] and by the time im done with ya...youll know it” he whispered in her ear as she felet him push, more and moreof his large size spreading her lips father than shed ever had. Her eyes rolled up as she felt him bottom out, both moaning as he picked up his pace, making a soothing rhythm as little moans and whines came from [ ], deep grunts coming from Kendo as he kissed her shoulders and back, marking where he could as he felt himself get closer with how she was throbbing over his member.
Digging his fingers as deep as he could in her plush hips he let our a mantra of ‘Cummin’ i and ‘ I love yous’ in her ear as she pushed back against him, feeling herself teetering as he pushed as deep as he could go ,letting himself cum as she came too, the overwhelming feeling of him throbbing against her spongy walls and previous orgasms enough to push her over a third time. “[ ]” Kendo rasped as [ ] hummed , feeling her legs still shake with him in her “Im serious, i'm never leaving you...you're mine and i love you…” kendo said as he kissed the back of her neck, nibbling her ear as he stayed in her “Mhm….i love you too Rappa..”

Cool your back.
I have a very cute LawLu prompt
Where Law is still a pirate some how becomes (little doses he know)the Fiance of the Goda kingdom's Cat God of freedom named Luffy(much to the world nobles dismay) and all of the high jinx that come along with it. And Luffy keeps popping up whenever Law doesn't/needs him. Good thing he's cute.
Thank youuu! Glad to be back :D though still super slow I’m sorry
I might have taken some liberties there with Luffy but I hope you like it! :)
----------
A Divine ball of fluff
[Read on AO3 | Request info | Ko-fi]
Law startled awake at the sound of gunfire and cannons somewhere above his head. Stepping over the lamp on the floor, he only briefly wondered just how it had managed to fall from his nightstand before he forced himself to focus. He only grabbed Kikoku, then ran out of his room to join his crew on deck, ready to murder whoever had come to disturb his sorely needed nap.
“Hand over Luffy and I might just let you go alive, Trafalgar Law!”
With the angry shout being the first thing Law had heard upon opening the door leading to the Tang’s deck, Law could only groan. Not again. “I keep telling you, old man—” Law slammed the door shut behind himself maybe more aggressively than strictly necessary before quickly striding over to the side of the ship to glare at Vice Admiral Garp—  “none of this was my choice! And your stupid grandson isn’t even here!”
“Uhm, about that, Captain…” Bepo trailed off, quiet and apologetic.
Law took in a sharp breath, closing his eyes momentarily and praying for patience. “Don’t say it. I don’t want to hear it.”
“Sorry,” Bepo mumbled, dropping his head as if it was somehow his fault their regular ‘guest’ had invited himself over without any warning again.
Shaking his head, Law slowly looked at Garp again. The old man was fuming and not for the first time, Law marveled at the stubbornness of this entire family. No matter how many times he said ‘no’ to either one of them, they just kept coming back like a bad rash. Sometimes, Law couldn’t believe neither of the three brothers or their grandfather were related by blood. Hell, one of them wasn’t even human. But well… when it came down to it, Law couldn’t say he cared.
“Fine, take him,” he said finally, smirking at the loud crash from behind him that immediately followed.
“Torao~” someone whined before arms wrapped around Law’s waist
On reflex, one of Law’s legs shot forward as he braced for the impact of the entire body crashing into him a split second later. Why, just why did this man insist on lunging at people constantly? Law would never understand. He was lucky Law had managed to train his reactions well enough by now to not face plant into the railing anymore. “What?” he asked, smirk still shamelessly in place as he turned to look at the person who was hanging off of him.
The person—or rather, the god—in question was staring back at him with an unhappy frown and a pout on his lips. Law hated to admit he looked outright adorable then, and not just because of the cat ears sitting proudly on top of his head, alert and facing forward in agitation. Ears which were also covered in black, incredibly soft fur that Law would never get tired of petting.
Giving Law something that was probably supposed to be a glare, Luffy finally huffed before continuing, voice sounding incredibly sulky, “How could you just sell me out to gramps like this?”
“Because he could absolute keep you on his ship even if he did take you.      Sure,” Law replied in a tone dripping in sacrasm while he rolled his eyes at the dramatic complaints of the literal embodiement of freedom, the person who could and absolutely did materialize out of nowhere on the Polar Tang whenever he fucking felt like it, without any warning, for the sole purpose of driving Law absolutely crazy with his ideas, only to then disappear into thin air again once he got bored. While on the open sea, with the nearest land two days of sailing away.
“That’s not the point!” Luffy cried, his grip on Law’s waist tightening.
Before Law could say anything back, a canon ball landed a bit too close to the ship, causing a wave of seawater to wash over the both of them. Law cursed loudly at the unexpected and fully unwelcome shower, just as Luffy also hissed loudly; if he was in his full monster cat form, Law could just imagine his fur raising until he looked like a huge, black ball of pure fluff.
…Now Law wanted to see it. He made a mental note to find an opportunity to scare the shit out of him at some point later, when he was in his true form.
“What was that for?!” Luffy demanded when he recovered from the shock.
“A warning shot!” Garp retorted, sounding just as angry as Luffy did. “You get off that pirate ship before I drag you off myself!”
“I’m not going back to Goa! It’s stuffy and tiny and they keep burning down my shrines, I hate it there!”
Garp growled as he grabbed another cannon ball. “As if I care about the idiot king’s orders, I’m not going to give you to those scumbags and I don’t care where you go—” he paused to aim his cannon ball at them threateningly before he continued— “but you’re not becoming a pirate on my watch, you brat!”
Law heard Luffy taking a deep breath behind him, no doubt in preparation to go off on his adoptive grandfather, and he sighed. Before either of these idiots could say anything, Law snapped, “If you’re just going to keep screaming at each other, can I go?”
“No,” Luffy said immediately, digging his claws into Law’s stomach painfully.
At the same time, Garp said, “You stay right where you are, I’m not done with you either!”
Law sighed. Every goddamn time.
“Prepare to submerge,” Law said to Bepo tiredly before raising his hand. “Room. Shambles.”
Appearing back in his room a split second later, Law took a deep breath, giving himself a moment to appreciate the blessed silence—or the alternative of, which meant only muffled rage instead of people screaming right in his ear. Not ideal but he would take it anyway. Honestly, why couldn’t these two ever do anything quietly? This whole thing could be so easily resolved if they had just sat down and talked but no, they just had to go yelling at each other while throwing cannon balls and scratching the other’s face off. And Law never had a say in getting caught in the middle of it every damn time either.
Sometimes, he cursed the day the Tang landed on Dawn Island, the place where all his problems started. But really, he couldn’t with clear conscience say that if he were to relive that day, that he wouldn’t do exactly the same thing; that he wouldn’t stop at the tiny, ancient looking shrine to talk to the young man sitting in front of it. That he wouldn’t answer every question Luffy had about the world beyond his small domain, that he wouldn’t look into those large, excited eyes and invite him to leave with him.
But, as stupid as it was regardless, if he could do it over, at the very least, would now actually know he was accidentally proposing to a literal god; one that was incredibly stuborn, selfish, and bright enough to be the actual sun. A god who also came in a package with a crazy grandfather, two over protective brothers, and the softest, warmest fur Law had ever had the pleasure of touching.
“Thanks for getting me away,” Luffy said after he made himself comfortable on Law’s bed, the anger and raw power that had been radiating off of him only moments ago replaced by his usual happy and carefree attitude.
Law clicked his tongue. “I was getting myself away. Not my fault you were clinging to me like a child.”
“Same thing.” Luffy waved him off.
Law didn’t have the energy to argue. Simply shaking his head at him, he instead bent down to put the lamp he had ignored earlier back on his nightstand.
“Weird how this was on the floor. I distinctly remember it was screwed on tight just yesterday,” Law noted, giving Luffy a pointed stare. Now that he knew this giant, ridiculously strong cat was on the ship, Law had no doubt just how the lamp got knocked off. Briefly, Law wondered whether there was even a point putting it back until Luffy left; he was probably going to knock it off again while staring at it with morbid fascination as it crashed to the floor again and again.
Law watched as Luffy’s eyes veered off to the side, his lips pursing as he mumbled, “Yeah, that’s super weird.”
Huffing out a small laugh, Law crossed the short distance between them, reaching out to ruffle Luffy’s hair. It was almost as soft as his fur was. “I know. A complete mystery,” he said with a smirk before he leaned down, pressing his lips to Luffy’s briefly.
The kiss was easily returned, a wide grin spreading on Luffy’s lips as soon as they separated, and despite himself, Law felt himself smile back. That damn smile would be the death of him. No matter how maddening this man could be, how loud and selfish, the moment he smiled like that, it was like all Law’s problems and frustrations were melting away. Luffy was simply beautiful; adorable and bright, yet absolutely terrifying and Law loved every little bit of it.
It was funny, actually. If someone had told him he would ever say ‘Luffy’ and ‘love’ in the same sentence just half a year ago, Law would have laughed in their face. Back then, Luffy was only some incredibly annoying giant cat who just wouldn’t leave him alone, someone who popped up on the Tang or wherever Law currently was just to ruin any and all of his painstakingly created plans. But now…
Now Law couldn’t remember what life was before him. He had learned to build his plans around Luffy recklessly charging forward, didn’t even bother trying to explain anything to him. He had long since stopped fighting the pull, the warm aura of power and charisma that drew people in and didn’t let go. It took a while but Law had finally accepted that he was not any different from all the other people Luffy had managed to charm without even realizing he was doing it ever since Law had gotten him out of the Goa Kingdom.
There was just something in the stupid divine cat that made people want to join and support him. Maybe it was the sense of absolute freedom that followed him everywhere; be it his own freedom, or the one of whoever Luffy thought deserved it.
“What’s wrong?” Luffy asked after a long while of them just looking at each other.
Law smiled, shaking his head at the cute, worried frown on his face. “Just hoping your grandfather won’t hit us before we sink far enough.”
“He’d never actually hit the ship, he’s a big softie,” Luffy announced, that grin back on his face.
“Good to know.” Law chuckled, finally sitting down on the bed with Luffy. “You know, I was sleeping before you two started fighting,” Law said offhandedly, glancing at Luffy and nearly snorting at the way his ears perked up in excitement.
“Wanna?” the other asked immediately, nearly vibrating in place.
Raising an eyebrow, Law gave Luffy a look. “I was going to say yes but seeing how excited you are, I’m not sure it’s such a good idea.”
“Nah, it’s all good,” Luffy decided, nodding to himself as he hopped off the bed, walking two steps towards the door to Law’s cabin before shifting into his monster cat form, then lied down slowly, watchful as to not break anything while he tried to fit his huge body into the tiny room.
Once Luffy looked back at him expectantly and Law was sure he was fully settled, Law went to join his boyfriend on the floor, careful not to step on any of his limbs or either of his two tails on the way. As he leaned back against the giant cat’s chest, he let his eyes slide shut, already feeling the exhaustion from earlier in the day settling back in. It was just so warm and soft and fluffy and Law would sooner die than admit out loud how much he loved it. It wasn’t like everyone didn’t already know by then anyway. What could he say, Luffy’s fur was impossible to resist. It was worse than Bepo’s in this aspect.
“No licking,” Law reminded, cracking one eye open to shoot Luffy a half-hearted glare when he felt his face come close to his body.
“You’re no fun,” Luffy whined.
Law could only sigh. “I’d just like to keep my skin where it is, thanks.”
“Fine.” Luffy huffed, thankfully keeping his sand-paper tongue where it should be, before he simply nudged Law with his forehead.
A smile pulled on Law’s lips, his hand raising to rest against the side of his little monster’s head. To anyone else, this position would seem incredibly dangerous, yet to Law, it was so very comforting. He had never felt safer than when he lay snuggled into into this god’s side, with the jaw which could fit his entire head inside twice over and then some positioned just inches away from his face.
Right here, Law knew he was home.
And while he gently stroked Luffy’s fur, Law’s eyelids slowly slid shut again.
 ~ Meanwhile ~
“What do we do?!” Shachi cried in panic, staring with wide eyes at the neptunian who looked like it was about to eat the Tang for an afternoon snack.
“We have to call the captain and Luffy, we can’t do this,” Ikkaku shouted back, trying to shoo away another two of these giant sea kings away together with Jean Bart.
A frustrated groan came from Clione in response, “I tried but they won’t answer and the door won’t open!”
“Why do they always have to sleep with Luffy’s giant furry ass blocking the stupid door! How are we supposed to get them out here?!” Shachi whined, mind slowly slipping into despair. Honestly, these lovesick idiots. What use was having a literal god around when he was never there to actually help when they actually needed him to?
This was why Shachi preferred dogs over cats.

The Domestics
Alistair runs into an older elven woman on the battlements, watching the children play in the Skyhold courtyard below. They get to talking: isn't it nice that the mages get to keep their children now? Then, in the course of the conversation, Alistair figures it out. Alistair says, “I always wondered. What my life would’ve been like, if she could’ve kept me. I always kinda knew she didn’t have a choice. King’s bastards are the king’s, not whoever carried them. If she were a servant and if I’d end up in the kitchens or, better yet, the dairy. I really like cheese. But if she were a mage, I guess we never had any of that. Unless she ran away.” Read on Archive of Our Own here.
It’s snowing at Skyhold, which delays Alistair’s plans by a day. Anora cuts him loose, locking herself in the ambassador’s heated room with her furs, and he wishes he could change into less fine clothes and join the children in their snowball fight, or wander into the kitchens and see if he can sweet-talk the cook into giving him something hot and sweet to drink. He’s king, so he could ask for all the chocolate in Seheron, and doubtless the Inquisition would try to give it to him.
He walks the battlements so less people will see him and watches the battle in the courtyard below. The Inquisitor’s children seem to have made common cause with the servants’ kids against the visiting nobility; honestly it’s just a relief to see that it isn’t human against elf. Alistair, a tad self-conscious, touches his right ear. An older elf is watching them, smiling. Alistair wonders if she’s the mother of one of them below.
“Which one’s yours?” Alistair asks.
The woman says, “I’m only watching them for the Inquisitor. I’m their guard.” She’s got short black hair, threaded with silver, but her eyes are lively enough. She’s wearing green robes with a bit of Dalish-looking embroidery at the ends of her sleeves. She’s got an Orlesian accent, too. He didn’t know the Inquisition was working with elves from Orlais, didn’t Anora tell him to keep an eye out for Ambassador Briala’s livery?
“Oh.” He shouldn’t feel awkward, but he blushes anyway. He stares at the woman’s feet, toes poking out of those foot wraps, and wonders how on earth she’s not freezing. Alistair’s got a coat of heavy wool, trimmed in fur.
The woman notices he’s staring and says, matter-of-fact, “My circulatory system is different than yours. We conserve heat more efficiently than your people. Besides, I’m a mage. It’s easy to keep warm.”
That has him a bit miffed. Of course he knows elves are biologically different than humans; they can still breed, though. He’s evidence of that. He doesn’t feel the cold as intensely as the others at court, and he knows why. The servants at the palace can tell, even if he passes, for the most part. Eamon and Tegan talk all the time about how much he looks like his father, how much he looks like Cailan, but he’s seen enough portraits of them both to know how he differs.
Alistair says, again, “Oh. Cool. I’m half, you know.” It’s not that he’s discouraged from talking about it, but it’s never been something to advertise. Those with eyes to see it don’t need to be told, but right Alistair feels like he needs to justify himself, with the way she’s looking at him. Skyhold has had him wrong-footed; Leliana has been distant and he is finding it harder and harder to slip away from the King. Anora tells him that’s part of adulthood. He’s not so sure.
The woman says, “I know.”
Alistair folds his arms. “Really? Because I didn’t. What’s your name, by the way?”
The elf smiles sadly. “Fiona. I used to travel with the Grey Wardens, when I was young.”
Alistair says, “Really? The Grey Wardens don’t really let people leave. Unless, you know, you point out that yet another civil war is going to break out if they don’t let you put your ass back on the throne. What was your excuse?”
Fiona says, “I had a baby. It’s hard to keep a nursery going in the Deep Roads. The darkspawn get jealous.”
“Oh. Can’t be having that, they’re crabby enough as it is. Though I heard of a Warden who brought his cat into the Deep Roads too, scratched out the eyes of a hurlock apparently. You’re lucky, most of us can’t have kids. I can’t. Probably.” He thinks about his own natural daughter with Tabris and blushes at the lie, rubbing at the back of his head. It’s for her own good and the good of the realm he hasn’t brought her to court. It’s not an excuse, it’s a reason, and Morrigan has the spare heir anyway, if Anora can’t figure something out.
Fiona says, “I suppose it’s luck. The Circle took him away from me, and gave him back to his father.” She sounds wistful. “But under the Inquisition, the mages keep their children. It’s a different world now. There’s no going back.”
He thinks to himself, I’m not so sure—the disastrous plans for the Hinterlands, the riots in Denerim, the failure of the embassy in the Brecilian forest. He thought after the Blight, with this new alliance between elves, dwarves, and men, there would be no going back. Anora tells him it’s a struggle for the future and that reform doesn’t come in a day, perhaps not even their lifetime: sometimes they need to settle for establishing the groundwork for the next person to rule, like Maric did for them. But of course, Anora’s never had her cousin kidnapped and brutalized, or her father sold into slavery. That sort of perspective changes things.
Alistair says, “Really?” He scratches his head. “I look at things in Ferelden and wonder how things can stay so stagnant, and then you look at Orlais and how they’re eating themselves alive. And Orzammar, of course, which is basically a living fossil. People don’t like change. They’d prefer for things to stay the same, or even go back to how they were a generation ago.” He is surprised at the bitterness in his voice.
Fiona cocks her head and looks at him curiously. She says, “You’re too young to be talking like that. You must understand it comes in seasons—we flourish in spring and reap our harvest in summer, and then prepare for and suffer through the conservative reaction in winter. Sometimes it’s a harsh winter, and many do not survive. But then there is always the spring. You lived in Ferelden, you should know—from the Night Elves who freed your people from the Orlesian occupation to Clan Alerion securing the boundaries of the Hinterlands now, things have changed. You just need to…riot every so often, to make sure no one gets complacent.” She grins.
It’s nice to talk politics with someone who doesn’t know who he is, who thinks he’s just another wealthy Ferelden currying favor with the Inquisition, not a king staring down the religious cult that just carved itself a city-state at the border of his realm. Below the children are yelling. A couple of them are using magic to freeze the snowballs, and they’re having a fierce debate, interspersed with throwing said ice balls, on whether that’s fair.
Alistair says, “Then I hope you’re right. I hope the mages and the Inquisition’s made enough of a, er, spring, to shake things up. It’s good for these kids to stay with their families, I hated what the Circle did. I didn’t know my mother, growing up. Would’ve avoided a lot of angst if I’d gotten to meet her.” He thinks about Morrigan and her awful mom, and then Goldanna flashes through his mind. Ashamed, he pushes the thought away. “Or maybe it would’ve made it worse! Hard to say, I certainly don’t know!” He smiles at the woman brightly.
Fiona says, “It might have made it worse, since she was an elf. Your life would’ve looked very different, even in Ferelden.”
His heart stops. Surely she doesn’t know who he is. That could be awkward, considering what he’s been saying. Anora will be furious that he’s gone off and talked politics with another random person again. He can’t help it, he gets bored easily, and the courtiers and advisors only tell him what they think he should want to hear.
“How do you know I’m Ferelden?” Alistair asks suspiciously.
“You’re wearing the badge on your fur coat. And, of course, your accent. Unless I am mistaken?”
“No, no,” Alistair says. “But yeah. Sorry. I don’t know much about her. Don’t know if she’s still alive. Just that she was an elf. Always assumed she was a serving woman or something, if my father was anything like C-Caleb.”
Fiona says, “Sometimes it’s better not to think about it, how we came into the world. I never met my parents either.” She leans against the balustrade and shakes her head at the kids fighting in the courtyard below. They’ve devolved into outright brawling, but that weird Warden the Inquisitor keeps around her has waded into the fray, bellowing orders. “It’s good to see them playing again. They never had enough time to play.”
“When were you a Warden?” Alistair asks. “You know, my dad travelled with the Wardens too. But they didn’t make him join up—guess that’s why I’m here, ha-ha.” He wants to ask her if she ever met him, because they might have overlapped. It’s hard to tell with elves sometimes though, they age more slowly, but she looks like she’s in her late forties, a bit careworn. Then he decides he really doesn’t want the conversation to get weird, because he is a king and his father was a king, and it’s rare that someone speaks to him normally now—treats him like the lovable idiot he knows he is, not the history-breaking king.
Fiona says, “Oh, give or take thirty years or so. I try not to count the years, at my age. My people live a long time if left unmolested, but I have a knack for running into trouble.”
Alistair laughs. “Oh, me too! I don’t even mean to do it, I’ve just never learned to keep my mouth shut.” To Teagan and Anora’s chagrin, he thinks ruefully. “I was given to the Templars as a boy, before I managed to get the Wardens to take me, and Maker! The Mother despaired of me. Called me most the accidental heretic she’d ever known. Really the Wardens taking me saved my life, Maker knows what they would’ve done to me if I kept poking at them like I was.”
Fiona pauses, trying to suppress a laugh, and then says, “At least you’ve never started a war.”
Alistair laughs heartily at that. Then he realizes what she’s said. “Wait, what? You started a war?”
Fiona says, “You…you didn’t know?”
Alistair says, “Is there something I should know?”
Fiona steps away, smoothing her expression away. “Many things.” Anxiously she peers down into the courtyard, smoothing her sleeves over her hands. The two factions of Skyhold children have joined forces and are attacking Blackwall with snow, but another one of the Inquisitor’s companions has joined the fray—a cackling elvhen girl, and then Alistair sees that from the balcony of the inn there’s a mustachioed mage swatting snowballs away from his friend.
Alistair says, “You never asked me my name.”
Fiona glances at him and then turns away. “I didn’t need to. You look very much like your father. Though I suppose you must know that.”
Alistair opens his mouth and then closes it. He says, voice hoarse, “Did you ever—“ He stumbles over his words, and clears his throat. “Did you ever find out what happened to your baby? When the Circle took him away.”
Fiona hesitates. The silence between them is filled with the children laughing below, the mage grandiosely chanting what are clearly made-up words, and the old Warden dramatically pretending to be overwhelmed by the volley of snow. The elven girl is swearing revenge, right now. It looks the children are trying to steal the “body” and make a pyre out of snow.
Unless she ran away.”
Fiona covers her face with her hands.
Alistair continues, “Then, yeah, being apostates suck. Believe me. I met a girl who lived in a swamp. But I think we could’ve made it work. Like since I pass, and I’m not magic—at least I don’t think so, but I think I’d know by now? I’m like, thirty-five. Or something. I could’ve gone to the villages and traded for food. And I would’ve known more about who I am. Than just Maric’s bastard. Who’s just a story, anyway. That’s how kings like that end up. Just stories.”
His mother is weeping now.
He says, “I have no idea how you started that war you said you did. But I think I know what I’m supposed to know.” He takes a step closer, and she doesn’t move. He says, helplessly now, “I think I have your eyes.”
Fiona leans against the balustrade, back to the courtyard below. She’s not crying now, but she’s not making any sound. Alistair is afraid to go closer. Her hands press into her face like a mask, restraining a scream. He thinks if he touches her, all that tension will explode. He gets overwhelmed like that too. Can you inherit that sort of thing? He has to wonder, does the way one expresses pain get passed down in the blood?
He waits for her to speak. A door behind them creaks open, footsteps scuffle to a stop, then retreat. The door shuts. The mage has come down into the courtyard now and is chanting what appears to be Nevarran over the pile of snow that is Blackwall’s pyre. The elven girl is leading the children in mourning—but then the mage flourishes, and the snow glows purple, then scarlet, then green as he sparks. Blackwall throws the snow off and roars. The children cheer.
Fiona breathes heavily, drawing herself out of wherever she retreated. She swipes at her face with her sleeves. She says, “Forgive me. It was better that you didn’t know. You couldn’t have become—you deserved—Maric needed—what are you going to do, I told the Divine to go fuck herself, you can’t have a mother who told the Divine—“
Alistair says, impressed, “You told the Divine to go fuck herself? I am your son, I knew it had to come from somewhere! This is your fault!” He gestures at himself, and Fiona manages a laugh.
“An exaggeration,” she says. “I merely said the Divine should fuck herself, right before we voted to dissolve the Circles and separate from the Chantry. I’d hoped to tell her that at the Conclave, which is why they sent Orsino rather than myself.” Her mouth twists into a rueful smile. “Perhaps the only time running off my mouth and losing my temper has saved my life.”
Alistair says, “Well, the Divine was kind of an ass. Somebody had to say it.” He laughs. “Oh, this is wonderful. My mother, the rebel mage.” He’s genuinely delighted, this is much cooler than anything he came up with as a boy. “This is so cool. Anora’s going to be so annoyed when I tell her. Not like she can complain, her dad betrayed the realm and got all the Wardens killed, so really on the scale of shitty in-laws, I win.” He pauses: he isn’t sure he conveyed what he wanted to by that. Fiona is just staring at him. “But seriously, I don’t know who you are. Besides, obviously, my mother.”
Fiona says, disbelief in her voice, “I’m the Grand Enchanter."
Alistair says, “Oh Maker, I should’ve recognized the belt, shouldn’t I?”

Hi, could you do one where the boys are still enemies but someone attacked harry when hes an auror and harry shows up at Dracos house and then draco helps him out and then something about the next day. I know its cliche but yeah
hey, remember love you requested this.. if you don't then now you do. My greatest apologies to fill this out this late, hope you understand @emzlolz
Cinnamon rolls was a date
Fluff | ENEMIES to LOVER trope |
" i don't understand your problem " harry snapped as he slammed his door behind him
" my problem ? you seriously think i have a problem, try working with someone as egoistic as you then maybe come to me and i'll tell you what my problem is " draco snapped back aggressively collecting his files from harry's table.
" oh, i'm egoistic, pardon me. Have you ever even looked at your own self, you're the egoistic one who needs all the credit to himself, what would you even know about throwing your life out, you just sit there in your own little cubicle brewing potions. You don't even understand what actual danger is" harry sneered shoving draco's files towards him.
"Oh of course only the great harry potter seems to be one in danger, the hell you know about being in my little cubicle breathing in the toxic fumes that can maybe cut my life span into half but what does the world care about it right because you're doing the almighty work by being on the scene and saving lives and we're just bloody here stuck in the little cubicles where our things won't even fucking fit. You know what potter, you are just like those politicians who think that people like you who are actually at the scene does the actual work and think of us like peasants, who does nothing but brew fucking potions all day " draco yelled at harry and then stormed out before harry could've even understood draco. Although harry couldn't bring himself to care much about it because he knew draco just said it out of spite like he always had not because he genuinely hated harry, or at least that's what harry always thought of them, the stupid traditional rivalry.
They of course didn't meet each all day or the next day or even the day after that and much of their anger cooled down and harry had anonymously put a memo for raise for potioneers, he never knew why he did it but he did, perhaps he cared if even a little whether he liked to admit or not.
Draco had been at home, having a conversation with one of his fellow potioneers about the anonymous tip about their raise and appreciating and disgracing the anonymous person when draco's doorbell rang and he frowned at the absurdity of someone to ring him after 9 pm. He was more than ready to yell at whoever the person was until he had opened the door to reveal harry leaning over the door, clutching his torso as if he was in pain.
" sorry, i don't do trick and treats " draco rolled his eyes
" its not halloween you idiot, i'm- fuck-"
" are yo- wait you're bleeding " draco immediately helped him inside to the living room and over to the couch.
" why aren't you at St. Mungo's ?" draco asked as he helped harry off his coat and put them away
" i didn't want to go there " harry grimaced in pain, flinching when draco's hand accidentally hit over his chest.
" i don't get it, why not ?" draco asked taking off his auror boots and throwing them away. He proceeded to help harry off with the rest of his heavy clothings until he was left in blood stained shirt and just pants.
" i have very strong recollection of school days " draco mumbled. Harry leaned his head almost smiling but winced in pain as his muscles clenched.
" what did you get hit with- harry- hey stay awake " draco lightly slapped his cheeks to keep harry conscious
" pocket knife i guess " harry shut off his eyes this time but draco shook him a little so he remained awake.
" come on, let me get you to the washroom and we'll take a look at this " draco helped harry up over his shoulder and helped him into his washroom, settling him over the sink and fetching his potions and first aids.
" I'll take off your shirt, alright ?" Draco asked cautiously as he clutched the button on Harry's shirt.
" you'd like that, huh ?" Harry smirked with a pained look
" do you always have to the intolerant sodding idiot that you are " draco rolled his eyes as he unbuttoned Harry's shirt and dropped it over the ground.
Harry Only Chuckled a little, supporting his head against the mirror and his arms resting by his side, too tired to move.
Draco analysed Harry's torso carefully for a mark of being hit by a spell bruising his skin "something hit you ?" He asked
Harry looked down his chest to where draco's fingers were resting and he nodded "thrown on a wall "
Draco winced immediately at the words but picked up his wand and cast an episky and cleared it with a wet towel he had just fetched.
" why do you Always like to throw your life onto line ?" Draco asked genuinely as he started wiping off Harry's wounds that leaked with more blood as he cleansed.
" what else am I supposed to do, sit there with a popcorn and watch " harry rolled his eyes, wriggling a little backwards to sit more comfortably, closing his eyes in fatigue.
" well at Least not try to get hit this badly "draco rolled his eyes again, now applying antiseptic over the wound and padding it with cotton. Draco looked up momentarily to see harry watching him as he bandaged his wound with tapes and bandages and cutting the remaining bandage with scissors.
" stop staring at me, makes me nervous " draco blushed cutting the last of spare bandage just above his waist.
Harry immediately looked away blushing to himself, interesting himself with the ceiling with false wooden look.
Draco ran his hand through harry's chest again to see if he could feel anymore of broken ribs or any broken vertebrae along his back and when he looked up to Harry's face he found a deep cut by his cheek.
"I don't like being your Personal healer " draco mumbled as he carefully through Harry's chin made him look at draco.
" i- I know, I'm sorry " harry mumbled as he watched draco dip the clean towel in hot water and cleansing Harry's cut.
" that pocket knife really hurt you " draco muttered as he softly took some antiseptic ointment in his finger and applied it over the cut, harry flinching immediately.
" hurts ?" Draco asked
Harry nodded.
Draco nodded and this time tried more carefully and finally allowed the ointment to sink in deep.
" why did you come here? you could’ve gone to anyone, why me ?" Draco finally asked staring at harry sitting in front of him with his legs spaced so draco was fit in between them.
Harry only Stared for draco for a few moments before he shrugged off his shoulders " I didn't wanna go to st. Mungo's "
Draco seemed like he didn't believe Harry, why must he anyways but he decided not to ask anymore from harry and only helped him off the counter.
They walked through the hallways back into the living room and Draco fetched him a blanket.
" I should get going actually-"
" you really think you can disapparate right now..you really are that dumb then" draco mocked harry.
Harry rolled his eyes getting up " I disapparated here on my own "
Draco exhaled sharply, clutching his eyes shut for moment as if it'd release some frustration " you don't always have to be the tough guy alright. If you disapparate now all your bandages will loosen and you'd be splinched- just- stay here for the night or until you're good enough to go "
" I am good enough to go " harry bit back.
Draco leaned up closer to harry and pushed him gently over his couch " tuck your Little ego in your pocket for a while and just do as I say "
" what if I don't ?" Harry challenged.
Draco rolled his eyes heavily before he stood up and pointed at the door " then be my guest potter and leave. I Frankly don't care whatever you do but I'm just telling you the right thing to do so you don't say that I was an asshole about the whole thing when clearly you're the one who's being a baby "
“ i’m not being a baby “ harry huffed.
“ then stay. You can probably get your ego back out and go in about an hour until your broken rib is healed a little bit “ draco commanded, going into the kitchen and getting harry a glass of water.
“ wow, you can be caring “ harry rolled his eyes taking the glass of water from him.
“ well you’d know if you weren’t so blinded with your immature hatred “ draco replied crossing his arms in front of him.
“ whatever “ harry found himself replying in a losing argument. They stayed there for a few minutes in silence as harry gulped down the water slowly and then gave the glass back to draco.
Draco left harry alone for a few minutes after that, finding more comfortable clothes for him and pillows so he could rest easy.
“I better hope you’re not executing my murder plan “ harry grumbled from the living room. Draco had almost laughed but he didn’t just for the sake of not giving harry the satisfaction of actually being funny.
Draco walked into the living room with all that he assumed harry might need and kept in front of him.
“ those pants look incredibly tight and dirty, so just change into these, if they fit of course “ draco told
Harry looked at draco quizzically for a few seconds, looking in suspicion as to why he was actually being nice but when met with none he picked up the sweatshirt he had bought and tried putting it on, only failing to do so.
“ need help ?” draco sarcastically asked. Harry rolled his eyes replying with an exaggerated no until he winced in pain.
“ merlin you can’t let go of your ego for one bloody second, can you” draco taunted as he knelt down before and cautiously helped harry putting on the sweatshirt.
“ i think your arm is bruised too ” draco mumbled when he had been putting on his sweatshirt.
“ You know you think i’m egoistic, but i’m the least egoistic as i’ve been told” harry mumbled
“ well of course why would the people tell the great harry potter that he’s egoistic, come on i wouldn’t tell a guy he’s egoistic if i swooned over him “ draco replied shrugging casually, pulling down his sweatshirt over harry’s waist.
“ that’s not true “ harry narrowed his eyes at draco however couldn’t help but wonder if he was actually right.
“ whatever you believe " Draco titled his head to the side in a small Bob before he got up " you can change into those pants. I'll leave you some privacy "
It was an unusual turn to the night when draco had offered him dinner and movie to watch with him while harry remained sprawled on the couch with a hot water bag tucked behind him, draco helping him adjust it every once in a while. If someone had seen them together that way they would laugh if told that they were enemies because of the way they had suddenly grew closer in an eventful nights. They learnt things about other that they could've only imagined off like draco learnt that harry liked to compartmentalise his food on the plate and that he liked to keep his work dull boring socks in an alternate pattern with colourful socks he had but the rest of his wardrobe remained mess, and the first thing he does when he gets out of shower is actually wear socks because he doesn't like walking barefoot and it wasn't just draco who learnt all of it, harry too learnt that draco had an entire bar collection of glasses he never let anyone use because he's afraid that someone would break it and lose one part of his collection, and that he have colour organised dresser, and that he prefer wearing steel toed boots because Someone always steps over his toes, and that he likes to sleep on the right side of the bed without an apparent reason. It was crazy how much more they learnt about each other and didn't fight over a single thing.
Draco had almost stopped the movie to discuss one part with harry when he noticed that harry had fallen asleep. Draco shut off the TV, helped harry more comfortably on the couch and covered him with more blankets; whispering a soft goodbye and left to sleep in his room. That night he had for the first time slept with a small smile because of harry, even if it seemed very unbelievable.
The next morning draco had left for work before harry had woken up, leaving him a message to not go before he returns but draco was probably sure harry wouldn't wake up anyways because of the heavy painkillers he was on.
The whole day draco had been in a strangely nice mood that he had even complimented his assistant who took it by surprise because draco rarely every complimented and not just that but even offered a smile to the lady at the reception instead of just a sneer. It was all too strange to someone who knew draco but then again, who infact really knew him. When the time came to return home, he had left early and had walked into a cinnamon smelling apartment.
" I hope you didn't use all of my cinnamon" draco called as he walked into the kitchen watching harry taking out cinnamon rolls from the oven.
" I did " harry shrugged.
Draco rolled his eyes but didn't do it out of frustration this time, but a sweet stupidity.
" people were asking about you around office" draco said as he sat down on one of the stools and poured himself a glass of water.
" I- I figured. I just don't wanna go to the office yet. I'll send them a letter. Also I'll leave tonight, I feel pretty good " harry nodded
Draco nodded stiffly, a part of him not wanting to let go of harry, just yet " or you can stay here. I mean there's no one to look after you anyway and I- Don't mind "
" well, if we clearly remember, you mind it a lot last night " harry teased.
" well I- I just- know what, do whatever you want. I don't mind " draco shrugged raising his hands defensively.
Harry shook his head smiling at draco, passing on the cinnamon rolls he made to him.
Draco strongly realised that the harry he worked with and the harry he came home to were two entirely different people and somewhere he also realised that he may have never hated harry but just despised him for everything he got, a tiny bit of jealousy involved but seeing this guy who made cinnamon rolls for him, made his heart melt a little more than he thought it would.
" can you just say it out loud- it's annoying me " harry rolled his eyes.
Draco chuckled, sucking in this finger tips then finally saying " these are really, really good "
" thank you " harry bowed with a grin then sat down next to draco.
" you know you're not a bad guy Outside work " harry said after a while, staring at draco.
" ditto " draco mumbled.
" no I mean, this is easy. Like just talking with you when there's no small cubicle nor my dingy office or without my stupid auror robes or your white coat. It's-"
" comfortable? " draco asked with a smile. Harry nodded at him with an equivalent smile.
They stared at each other for a moment too long, their hearts beating traitorously too fast in their chest and their fingers brushing past each other and just staying there in a mere presence of touch with other. It was like storm had washed over them and rinsed them off their past and made them see each other in a way that they had never looked at, so different that they realised they could probably look at each other for a very very long time.
" I never hated you " draco muttered.
" then why did you pretend you do ?" Harry asked leaning a bit.
Draco swallowed, peering his eyes at Harry's lips " it's easier to hate you "
" why ?" Harry asked, his eyes falling on the way draco's lips were moving.
" because then I don't have to think about how you make my heart race " Draco muttered in soft Whispers so only harry could hear.
" it's easier to pretend " harry agreed.
They stared at the distance between each other for far too long until they had only been a few inches apart and then draco put a hand on Harry's chest.
" I- maybe we should go on a date first "
Harry swallowed nodding " we should "
Draco nodded, repeating after harry but they kissed nonetheless and neither of them pulled back, maybe they had a small date with cinnamon rolls after all.
This took me far too long to write. Busy person tingz. I highly suspect, this won't get notes, I didn't like this one either.

Divine Blessing
Yato couldn’t help but think it was weird, standing in one of the bedrooms of Bishamon’s manor and for once he wasn’t covered in bandages and aching all over. Not to mention that everyone was acting weird in general; the crazy skank and Kazuma especially.
“Why are they so dead set on me meeting this new god, anyway?” He huffed to himself, stuffing his hands in his pockets, “Just because I like Ebisu doesn’t mean I want to babysit every brat running around Takamagahara…”
He bit his lip.
Not to mention, he was bitter. Everyone was already talking about whoever this was, and it had taken him how long to get even the tiniest bit of notoriety?
He moved to the window and leaned against the frame of it, looking out, but his mind somewhere else.
He wasn’t sure if he was ready for any of this. He appreciated his friends' concern and they probably just wanted him to actually do something instead of walk around in a daze all day, but he was still healing. Yukine was helping him keep it together, but a giant part of him was missing.
‘Hiyori.’
He shut his eyes and grimaced. She had saved him so many times and when it really mattered, he couldn’t do the same for her.
Knock, knock, knock.
He practically jumped out of his skin as he was pulled back into reality by the noise. ‘Probably for the better that I get distracted from where my thoughts were going anyway…’
He exhaled to himself before answering, “Uh, come in.”
The door creaked open slowly and he was surprised to see an adult sized woman in light colored traditional clothing slip in quickly before shutting the door, her back still turned to him.
‘Maybe she’s not an entirely new god? Maybe just new to all of this, like I am.’ He wondered to himself, now a bit curious.
Finally, she turned around and looked up with a sheepish smile, her magenta eyes barely peeking out from underneath her bangs, “…It’s so good to see you, Yato.”
“Hiyo—” The air was instantly knocked out of him and his knees buckled underneath him.
“Yato!” She immediately kneeled down in front of him, though kept a small distance between them as he continued to look over her in shock.
Looking over her once again, he stated numbly, “I’m dreaming.”
Hiyori slid closer to him and reached out to touch his cheek, “You’re not, I promise.”
A tear escaped from one of his eyes, “How?”
Giving a bit of a laugh, she answered, “I guess you haven’t been to my family’s hospital lately, then…”
Yato shook his head, reaching up to take her hand from his cheek and into his own, “No… I haven’t left Takamagahara since I lost you. Yukine goes to work at Kofuku and Daikoku’s shop sometimes, but otherwise, we’ve been here.”
“I’m sorry.” She frowned before looking down to hide her face.
“Don’t apologize.” He answered automatically, “It’s my fault. I didn’t protect you.”
“You did!” Hiyori immediately fired back, almost in a yell. More quietly, she repeated, “You did… Look, no one’s invincible, right? And anyway, I’m here now.”
He nodded tearfully. “So… How is that exactly? You mentioned the hospital…”
She flushed and smiled sheepishly, “Well, it was Yama-chan and Ami-chan’s idea… After everything happened, they brought up to my parents how I spent a lot of times at shrines and always made offerings and such. I think they may have seen your shrine in my room at one point too. So, they asked my parents about making a shrine for me at the hospital both in honor of me but also as a way for patients and their families to pray for someone to watch over them. So… Here I am.”
Taking in all of the information, Yato took a moment before he cracked a joke, “I had to wait how long for a shrine and you got one right away?”
“It’s not like I asked for it.” She gave a pout in response, though she looked a bit guilty.
He laughed and gave a wide smile, “It’s okay. You of all people deserve it.”
“Thank you.” She answered, still looking a bit sheepish, “And it’s not like I’m a major god or anything—I’m just in charge of the Iki hospital.”
“I’m sure you’ve still probably got more followers than me already.” He still smiled.
“Well—” She turned her head away, unsure of how to answer.
“I’m messing with you, Hiyori.” He gripped her hand tighter, “None of that stuff matters.”
Hiyori took a breath and looked back at him, “Right.”
Yato reached up to cup the side of her face, pulling her inward. Hiyori’s eyes fluttered shut as he kissed her softly, mumbling, “I really missed you.”
“I missed you too.” She answered, though it was in such a quick breath between kisses it almost sounded like one word.
Just as Yato had wrapped his arms around her and pulled her even tighter against him, there was a small knock on the door. Breathlessly, he mumbled, “Shit.”
Hiyori scooted backward, her face quickly reddening.
“Uh, Yato? Are you still in there?” Yukine’s voice called out in confusion from outside the door.
His face lit up and he flashed a grin to Hiyori before answering, “Yeah! Come in, Yukine.”
“I figured that other god was still here but it was so quiet I wasn’t—” The blonde explained loudly as he opened the door and pushed it shut behind him. Scanning the room and finding Yato on the floor, he squinted, “What are you…” He took a few steps closer and noticed the other figure who was originally blocked by the bed.
“Hi, Yukine-kun.” She gave a small wave.
“Hi—Hiyori!” He forgot himself and quickly fell against her in a tight hug. Just as she reciprocated, he pulled away and sheepishly apologized, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry! I’m just… How?”
“You’re looking at the new god of Iki hospital.” Yato announced from his side.
Yukine’s mouth made an ‘o’ shape in understanding, “That makes sense. And it suits you!”
Hiyori giggled, “Thank you.”
Looking back at Yato, he asked breathlessly, “Did you know?”
“Not a clue until today.” Yato shook his head, looking to Hiyori to ask, “Did you set this whole thing up?”
She shrugged, “Kind of… But it was mostly Kazuma-san and Bishamon-san. I just wanted to do it in a way that didn’t overwhelm you so that I didn’t just… come strolling into the manor one day, you know?”
“If you did, I probably would have guessed that skank named you as a shinki and made you part of her army.”
Hiyori rolled her eyes, “You know Bishamon-san wouldn’t do something like that.”
“Yeah, yeah.” Yato waved his hand, “We may be buds now, but I still can’t trust her as far as I can throw her.”
“If you say so.” She hummed in response.
“It’s not like she’s been the one giving us food. And a place to stay, even though you won’t take it.” Yukine stood up straight, looking down at Yato with crossed arms.
Hiyori blinked in confusion, thinking aloud, “But if you haven’t been staying here or at Kofuku-san’s, then where…?”
“A tent on that tiny piece of land.” Yukine answered despite Yato motioning for him not to, “But he’s been mooching food from here and using the baths, sneaking around even though Bishamon-san totally knows he’s doing it.”
Yato flushed brightly and turned himself away from them, “It’d be a waste not to use my property! You could use some old-fashioned camping anyway, Yukine. You’re probably spoiled after staying here for so long.”
“And who’s fault is that?” The blonde boy answered automatically and the god groaned in response.
“Jeez.” Hiyori sighed heavily before she stood up as well, walking over to Yato and putting a hand on his shoulder. As he looked up at her, she commented, “So it’s about time to go home, then.”
Smiling, he nodded, “Yeah.” As he stood up as well, he questioned, “Though are you sure it’s a good idea to hang out with the god of poverty?”
“I’m not going to just avoid Kofuku-san because I’m a god now.” She rolled her eyes before taking her hand in his, “Besides, I spend far more time with my god of fortune, so I think it works out.”
“Right.” He answered sheepishly, grinning.

warnings: alcohol, talking about depression and suicide (but nobody's actually depressed), notes of sex
google translate :’D
Tumblr media
"So, Miss Y / L / N", Mister Langdon finally said as he stepped around the table to stand in front of you.
"After telling me about your homosexuality, I would like to know if you are currently in love?"
You narrowed your eyes at the man in front of you.
"What kind of stupid question is that? Is this the part where we braid each other's hair and talk about our high school crushes?"
"Answer. My. Question.", the Man growled.
"Okay okay," you muttered quickly. "Uhm, well let me think about it for a minute."
--------------------
It all started when Miss Venable heard you scream one night.
You had been at Outpost 3 for a few months at this point and in all that time you hadn't spoken a lot and spent the entire time in your room except for meals.
The others didn't know much about you. They knew, you were one of the youngest residents of the Outpost and that you had left your family behind. And of course they knew your name. But that was all.
You spent a lot of time thinking about your family. Your relationship with your parents wasn't ideal, but you still missed them. And if you had known a year ago where you were today, you would have done a few things differently. Celebrating Christmas with them one last time, vacationing with them, simply spending the time peacefully with them instead of arguing.
Usually you cried quietly to yourself, with your head buried under your pillow, hoping, that everyone would forget you existed,  but crying wasn't enough tonight and after dinner you snuck into the kitchen to steal a bottle of the red wine, that you smuggled into your room afterwards.
It was now 1 a.m., the bottle was almost empty, and hours ago you had started tossing the items you had in your room. Your clothes were scattered on the floor, while you had tossed the boring books from the library against the wall. Your bed was a complete disaster and in all your anger you had torn the sheets. There were red wine stains on your pillows, which had almost slipped into the blazing fire of the fireplace after you tossed them off the bed.
And now all you could do was scream.
"Fuck you!" You shouted as you staggered in the room with the alcohol in one hand.
"Fuck you all! Fuck this apocalypse, fuck this outpost, fuck-"
"Miss Y / L / N" interrupted you a loud voice behind you and made you turn around.
Miss Venable was standing in the doorway in front of the locked door, staring at you in confusion.
"Ever heard of knocking?" You grumbled and hid the bottle behind your back.
"I knocked," Miss Venable hissed, her gaze wandering angrily over your chaos.
"And if you hadn't screamed so loud, you would probably have heard it. What the fuck do you think of making such a noise here at night? Stealing alcohol as well?"
"I uh- caught," you muttered as you put the bottle on the round table in front of you.
"Do you know what's really funny? We don't have anything to eat, but there is no end of alcohol. Whoever came up with that must be pretty stupid."
"It was my idea. I am in charge here, in case you forgot."
"Oh right," you sighed and slapped your forehead with the palm of your hand.
"Shit, well, i'm sorry, but what was your name again?"
"You forgot my name?" Asked Miss Venable sharply with raised eyebrows.
"Yeah," you muttered before collapsing onto your messy bed.
"But I know it was something weird."
Miss Venable glared at you, which of course you couldn't see because you were buried with your face in your blanket.
"Hopefully you realize this will be punished," she growled.
"Oh suck my dick", you grumbled. "You enjoy punishing others, don't you? You are a little psychopath"
You laughed softly into your blanket and noticed how you became more and more sleepy. You almost fell asleep if Miss Venable hadn't tapped her stick loudly on the floor.
"You will start cleaning up here immediately, otherwise it will be the last night you spend in this outpost."
"Oh shut up. You are totally mean to me," you moaned and pouted at the angry woman.
"Why are everyone always so mean to me? I haven't done anything wrong."
You got up on shaky legs to walk past her to the door, but you tripped and fell against Miss Venable.
"Wow," you mumbled as you stared into her brown eyes with your glassy ones and grabbed hold of her hips.
"I may not know your name, but I know,  that you are really pretty"
"What the fuck is wrong withyou ?! "
Wilhemina pushed you away from her so that you stumbled backwards and landed on the floor.
You stared out at her with hurt eyes as tears welled up in your eyes.
"I didn't do anything," you yelled at Miss Venable, who was still leaning on her stick in front of you.
"It's not my fault, that you're beautiful. Be happy, others are ugly."
"That's enough," growled Miss Venable as she took a step towards you and grabbed your arm to pull you up.
"You're going to bed now."
"I'll do nothing," you mumbled and tried to pull yourself out of her grip, but you were way too drunk to use enough strength and she could push you like a doll on the bed.
You laughed again.
"Guess what, my bed is big enough for both of us, isn't that funny?"
You looked up at her playfully, or at least you tried.
"You beautiful woman. We-"
"Your behavior is disgusting," she interrupted as she leaned over to grab your chin. Immediately you fell silent.
"And my name is Miss Venable."
She looked down at you dangerously and you saw fire in her eyes when you started laughing out loud.
"Haha Miss Venable, I told you it was something weird," you shouted before you started screaming out loud.
"Miss Venable is beautiful whohoo. Can you all hear me? Miss Venable is beautiful. She-"
"What the hell", Miss Venable cut you off again and took her hand from your jaw to put it on your mouth.
"Are you going to be quiet at last?"
"M'sorry," you hummed against her hand and Miss Venable could see from the wrinkles around your eyes, that you were grinning under her hand.
"I want you to go to sleep now and clean up the chaos here tomorrow, do you understand me?" She asked in a sharp voice. But you just glared at her and wanted to bite her hand when she repeated her question.
"Do you understand me?" She barked louder and this time you nodded quickly.
"Good," she said happily as she took her hand from your mouth and straightened up again.
"Fuck you," you mumbled quietly and watched unhappily as the woman went to the sofa across from the fireplace and sat on it.
"Can't you just go?" You moaned as she leaned her cane against the edge of the sofa.
"Oh I'll go," she replied while staring into the fire.
"When you fell asleep."
You groan in annoyance.
"Is that supposed to be a joke?"
"Do I look like I'm joking?"
"Oh come on," you sighed and pulled your blanket over your head so she couldn't see you.
It was actually your plan to wait for her to go away, but at some point (who knows how much time had passed) you actually fell asleep.
Living my life in a bubble
Sometimes reality's too much for me
(I trip and fall into a dream)
Your love it gets me into trouble
Sometimes your gravity's too much for me
(It gets me weak in the knees)
------------
A week had passed and not much had happened. The next morning you woke up alone and with a big hangover and barely remembering what had happened the previous evening. Miss Venable had forced you to clean up the mess in your room after she had punished you for stealing the alcohol and as attractive as this woman was, she seemed genuinely angry about what had happened, even though it was actually nothing special. At least that's what you thought, but you couldn't remember either.
The world had ended and her problem was, that you had stolen a bottle of wine and ravaged your room. You wondered how fucked up her life must have been before the apocalypse, if that bothered her. And she wasn't the only one you wondered about.
The other residents of the outpost were all disgusting.
"Why do we have to eat this shit?"
"When are we getting out of here?"
"Why is life so unfair and let me be here with you idiots?"
You hate those ungrateful assholes. Everyone was dead and their only problem was, that they were still alive.
Other people deserved it so much more and the fact that mankind's only hope was in these conceited, stupid assholes seemed like a joke.
When you lay in bed that day and stared lost at the ceiling, you had lost all reference to reality. You didn't know what day it was or what month you were in. You also didn't know whether the last meal you ate was lunch or dinner, although a glance at the clock would have been enough. But you got tired of staring at the clock and watching the second hand, hoping something would happen.
Nothing changed anyway. And all you felt was that big feeling of loneliness that completely filled you. You were a very emotional person and all you wanted was someone who was normal. But everybody in this outpost was a huge disappointment. Conceited assholes, intimidated Grays and Miss Venable, who enjoyed punishing people.
Probably you would have started talking to yourself, but thank god you weren't there yet.
Sometimes you thought, it might be easier, if you opened up to others. But your body had become like a prison and you kept every thought trapped deep inside you because it did not match those of the others. Stupid assholes.
And while you continued to sink into your self-pity, you would probably have fallen asleep, if you hadn't been bothered by the sudden knock on your door.
"Fuck off," you moaned while staring angrily at the door, but the person standing in front of it only knocked one more time.
Asshole, you thought before reluctantly climbing out of bed to open your door.
"I said you should f- Oh Miss Venable," you stared at the woman in front of you.
"Are you here to punish me again for something pointless? If so, I can assure you it won't be necessary .. The wounds from last time still hurt, if you care."
Miss Venable screwed up her eyes.
"Well, Miss Y / L / N, actually I don't care, but if it still hurts, you seem to have learned your lesson," she replied coldly and you just snorted in annoyance.
"What do you want from me?"
"You are obviously depressed-" she started and you interrupted her immediately.
"What is that shit supposed to mean? I'm not depressed, I'm just sad. And since when have you been interested in how I'm doing?"
You glared at her with narrowed eyes, but her face still had the same deadly serious expression.
"You've been sad for a long time, don't you think?"
"I- uh".
You looked at her confused.
"All my friends are dead, it's only logical that I feel that way .. I find it rather questionable, that I'm the only one here, who feels that way."
"So?" Miss Venable raised an eyebrow, which made you even more insecure.
"I don't really care how you feel either. I just don't feel like wiping your blood off should you decide to kill yourself."
"Suicide isn't always bloody," you muttered.
"And because we don't have any doctors here-"
"By the way, that's the stupidest thing of all. You know, we have a hairstylist, but no doctors, you also notice that it doesn't make any sense, right?" You interrupted her and crossed your arms in front of your chest.
And again Miss Venable ignored your words and finished her sentence, which you had interrupted.
"..I thought that would help too."
Your eyes widened when you saw what she was pulling out from behind her back and immediately you started laughing.
"Are you serious? First you punish me brutally for stealing a bottle of red wine and now you come to give me one?" You laughed and stared down at the bottle she was holding out to you.
"What's worse is, that you think alcohol is replacing therapeutic treatment. That's pretty sad to be honest, Miss Venable."
Wilhemina narrowed her eyes.
"It's not sad, I just prefer red wine stains instead of stains from your blood," she growled.
"You can't possibly be serious," you mumbled and suddenly had to grin.
"You enjoyed punishing me, right? And now you're coming, because you need a reason to do it again."
"Oh come on," Miss Venable rolled her eyes.
"Take the bottle or don't take it, it's just an offer."
You were still staring at her in amazement. What was wrong with her that she thought this action would solve your problems? Another proof of how fucked up everything was and that the only person you could count on was yourself.
"Uhm, well thank you, Miss Venable," you stuttered and reached for the bottle.
"If you come over every evening and bring me a bottle, your diagnosis may work and I will have very different problems, than my sadness."
"Not funny," muttered Miss Venable, her lips pressed together.
"Well, good evening, Miss Y / N."
She turned around and started to leave and you could only stare after her in confusion. Evening?
Then you actually had dinner earlier, even though you could have sworn it was only lunch.
"Maybe you want to join me-?" You asked suddenly and were just as surprised by this question as Miss Venable, who turned to you.
"What?"
"I don't think getting drunk on my own would be fun," you added, stepping nervously from one foot to the other.
"You did it a week ago," replied Miss Venable and in the torchlight you could see the lines of confusion on her face.
"But I never said it was fun," you smiled crookedly as your grip tightened on the neck of the bottle.
"And I think it would be nicer to do that, in the presence of another person. Especially since you've already seen me drunk."
You looked at Miss Venable expectantly, although you did not know exactly what you were doing. It was probably just your desperate attempt to get someone's attention, simply because everyone, who has ever cared about you was dead. And you knew Miss Venable might not be the best choice. But while the others complained aloud about their suffering and argued about who was worse off, Miss Venable didn't show such feelings and kept her thoughts to herself. A circumstance with which you could somehow identify.
"Okay," Miss Venable finally muttered, surprising you one more time that day.
"Well, great," you said before stepping out the door frame to go back to your room. You sat on the other end of the sofa, across from where she sat a week ago. In your hand there was still the bottle of red wine and for whatever reason you were ashamed of this situation. Miss Venable brought you alcohol because she thought, you could use it to manage your sadness, or depression (as she called it). And if she had actually meant well, which was actually questionable with her, then you had to make a pretty pathetic impression on others.
"You cleaned up the mess," you heard Miss Venable's voice behind you, but it was more of a determination than an acknowledgment.
"And I just noticed that we have no glasses at all".
Your shoulders sagged at her words and for a moment you were afraid she would leave. But you heard her close the door behind her before she went to the sofa and sat down on the exact same place, that she had been sitting on a week ago.
You watched the woman confused, leaning her cane against the sofa.
Her gaze lifted to you and she stared at you as expectantly as you looked at her confused.
"What are you waiting for? Go into the kitchen and get glasses," Miss Venable uttered.
You blinked in surprise.
"I- I didn't know that was a request," you muttered before jumping up from the sofa to run from your room into the kitchen.
When you ran back to your room 5 minutes later with two wine glasses, Miss Venable was still sitting on the ugly fabric sofa just as she had done a few minutes earlier. And somehow there was something aesthetic about it.
Personally, you thought it was ridiculous, that everyone had to adapt to the Victorian style, just because she wanted to. But it was perfect for Miss Venable. As if it was made for it. Her red hair, which she always pinned up so strictly, then her almost black eyes and the lipstick. Also her pale skin and her cane. Even her strict personality perfectly matched the style of clothing.
"Do you want to stay in the door frame and stare at me, or are you finally coming now," Wilhemina hissed suddenly without moving even an inch and immediately a slight blush rose in your face.
"M'sorry," you muttered and quickly closed the door before going back to the sofa. After you sat down, you put the glasses in front of you on the table, where the wine bottle was now.
"I was just wondering," you explained as you poured the wine into your glasses.
"Why the Victorian style of all things?"
"Why not? It looks good," replied Miss Venable, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
"Well," you began before turning to give her her glass.
"The world is ending and you make us wear 10kg dresses, because you think it looks good?"
"Any better idea?" Miss Venable asked back, putting the glass to her lips.
"Uhm I, i don't know," you stuttered and watched Miss Venable as she drank her wine.
"Don't we have to be prepared somehow or something like that?"
You heard Miss Venable laugh quietly into her glass.
"Prepared?" She repeated with a small grin and put her glass back on the table.
"On what? For the aliens to come and get us out of here?"
You shrugged your shoulders.
"I don't know," you mumbled before you put your glass to your lips to take a sip of the bitter liquid and while you were drinking you could feel her gaze digging into your skin.
"By the way, I also find it very questionable what kind of people live in this outpost," you added, setting your Glas next to hers on the table.
Wilhemina let out a laugh. It was one of those laughs that you couldn't tell whether it was meant honestly or sarcastically.
"I'm not surprised you say that," she muttered.
"Is my dislike of the others that obvious?" you asked confused.
"I don't know if obviously this is the right word .. But what I do know, is that you always look disgusted when you see them, so I'm assuming you don't like them and to be honest, I like them neither.
Your confusion turned to laughter.
"Well," you said.
"With you it is obvious that you don't like any of them."
"These people are just as competent as they were poor. They are only here because of their money," she said disapprovingly.
You sighed thoughtfully.
"It's kind of sad, that money was the way in here. Scientists would have been so much more valuable. I'm only here because my grandfather had the money."
"What did you do before the apocalypse?" She asked you and you were surprised by this honest question.
"I went to college to study history," you replied when your gaze wandered into the fire.
"So I can  judge that the Victorian style wasn't the most practical choice."
You heard Miss Venable snort in annoyance and you couldn't help but grin.
"And what did you do before the apocalypse?" You asked, turning your gaze back to her. Miss Venable seemed as surprised by your question as you were by hers.
"It's a little tricky," she began. "Basically, I built human robots."
"Robots?"
"Robots."
For a moment you stared at her in amazement. Miss Venable had averted her gaze from you and directed it to the wine glass in front of her.
"M'sorry, but if you've built human robots, why are you letting real people, the Grays, work for us? Wouldn't robots have been revolutionary in an apocalypse?"
Unlike you, Miss Venable seemed totally unaffected by this.
You watched as the redhead reached for her wine glass and took another sip of the blood red liquid.
"You are asking too many questions for my taste, Miss Y / L / N," said Miss Venable softly, putting her glass back on the table. And even though she kept her voice low, you could hear her indirect threat.
"To be honest, I'm amazed, that I'm the only one asking questions," you replied, trying to make eye contact with the woman next to you again, but Miss Venable's gaze was tied to the blazing fire in the fireplace and you could see a dark glint in their eyes.
"You shouldn't get involved in things that are none of your business," she said suddenly in a monotonous voice. "All over the world there are survivors and it is not your job to question my system, nobody has the right to do so. You are just one stupid survivor of many, nothing more"
You and I, we just glide
Through the night
We just drive, we get by
We just glide
----------------------
"Oh c'mon," you moaned and ran your tousled hair.
"God must hate me".
You stood on shaky legs from the library floor, that you fell on after stumbling into the room. You brushed the dirt off your skirt and realized with gritted teeth, that it was ruined.
"Seems like someone is having a bad day," you suddenly heard a voice say and immediately your mood worsened.
You straighten up again to meet Miss Venable's eyes. The woman sat on the right of the two leather sofas and with one hand clutched her cane, which was propped on the floor.
"Fuck you", you hissed before you let yourself fall on the sofa across from her.
"Oh, someone is having a very bad day," added Miss Venable, and you didn't have to look at her to see, that she was amused by your behavior,
"Yes, my day sucks and guess what, it's all your fault," you growled and glared angrily at her stick.
"When I got up this morning and wanted to leave my room, I got stuck in the door with my blouse and the whole sleeve was torn. Did you also notice, how much you sweat in these clothes? It's really hard to go at the toilet with these clothes .. I'm sorry, but what the hell was your idea, when you decided to give us a Victorian dress code? Did you have to make our life after the apocalypse even harder ? "
You pressed angrily your lips together and screwed up your eyes.
"You are the only person who complains about it," said Miss Venable and sounded not quite as amused as a minute before. You let out a dry laugh.
"The others are too scared of you, to tell you that," you said bitterly.
"Besides, what the hell are you doing here?"
You tore your gaze away from her stick to look directly into her dark eyes.
"Why shouldn't I be here?"
"Because you're never here and you didn't look like someone who'd like to hang out with Mr. Gallant or Coco."
"Well, neither Mr. Gallant nor Miss St. Pierre Vanderbilt are here right now, right? And besides, I could ask you the same thing", Miss Venable replied indifferently and somehow she was right. It was also a rarity to see you in the library as you actually spent most of the time in your room.
"I suppose my great sadness is over now .. or as you called it 'depression'. I'm more in the mood right now, that I don't care and I am angry at everything and now you are my victim. Your lipstick is smeared by the way", you sighed, although that was actually a lie, her lipstick was perfect as always. But in fact her eyes widened slightly and you couldn't help but enjoy this view.
"You're lying," hissed Miss Venable and you had to grin.
"Maybe".
You shrugged your shoulders.
"Maybe you'd better go and see, or you risk the others seeing you ruined makeup."
It was obvious that Miss Venable was a perfectionist woman and she wasn't going to let her position of power be challenged over a smeared lipstick. On the other hand, you were an extremely bad liar and Miss Venable wasn't stupid.
"You're lying," she repeated, only with her lips pressed together, giving you the sense of achievement you wanted.
"Mhh Miss Venable," you hummed as your eyes found her stick again.
"This cane .. when I saw you for the first time, I wondered if it was just a symbol of power or if you really needed it-"
"..And then you saw me walk with it," added Miss Venable with a bitter tone in her voice.
"Oh no," you quickly shook your head.
"It wasn't your walk that gave me the confirmation that you really need the stick. It could never be your walk, you walk so majestically with that stupid thing, that even people, who don't really need a cane and only use it as an accessory would look handicapped next to you."
It was probably a rather desperate attempt to put the whole thing in a compliment and Miss Venable did not answer your words either, but you could see in the glow of the fire how her pale skin turned a light red shade and that was enough for you.
"It was your grip to be honest," you continued.
Miss Venable frowned.
"My grip?"
"Yes," you nodded and started playing with the fabric of your skirt.
"Your fingers are always clenched so tightly around the handle, as if you wanted it to break through. As if you were trying to strangle it or something like that, i dont know."
The furrow on Wilhemina's forehead only got a little wider with your words.
"You seem to spend a lot of time watching what my hands are doing," she mumbled and this time it was you, who blushed.
"It was just an observation, that I made on the side," you stammered quickly when you realized, that from one moment to the next the conversation had taken a completely wrong direction. Miss Venable did not answer again and you did not have the courage to look her face again and so the next few seconds were filled with an embarrassing silence, although you could imagine that Miss Venable was enjoying your discomfort.
"May I take a look at your cane-?" You finally asked to break the silence.
"You want to take a look at my cane?" Repeated Miss Venable, surprised with raised eyebrows.
"Only if it's okay," you said quickly.
"You are the first person, who asks me that".
Miss Venable looked thoughtfully down at her cane, which was still in her hand.
"As I said, the others are too scared of you-"
"The others don't care," Miss Venable interrupted, and you didn't know if she was sad about it or if she didn't care. But we're talking about Wilhemina Venable, she probably didn't care.
The red-haired woman sighed before holding out her stick to you.
You grinned and tried to grab the staff, but before your fingers could touch the wood, Miss Venable pulled it back again.
"How can I be sure, that you won't break it up and use it to make firewood?", She asked you and you looked at her in horror.
"I would probably be the last person to do that," you said indignantly.
"On the contrary, I think you would be the only person in this outpost who would dare to."
Miss Venable held out her stick to you again and this time she let you reach for it.
You immediately noticed how light the wood was in your hand as you carefully ran your fingers over the stick.
"What kind of wood is that?" You asked quietly without looking up from her walker.
"I guess it was blackthorn".
Your fingers moved on to the handle of the stick, which was probably the most interesting thing. A metal handle in the shape of a raven skull served as a support for the hand.
"Doesn't that hurt?".
You lifted your gaze back to Miss Venable, who obviously didn't understand what to do with your question.
"Well, if I had to support myself with all my weight on this skull, it would hurt," you added and Wilhemina just shrugged her shoulders.
"Uhm, it's a beautiful cane," you muttered, handing it back to her.
"May I ask why you need it?"
"I don't know what this should have gotten to do with you," replied Miss Venable, not sounding as nice as before. If you could call it "nice".
"Okay okay, taboo subject, I got it," you said quickly, desperately searching your head for anything to keep the conversation going.
"Do you actually enjoy it? To have control over everyone here? And know that, that almost everyone is afraid of you?", You finally asked and leaned back against the sofa.
"You asked me that a few weeks ago, when you were drunk," remarked Miss Venable, looking down at her gloved fingers, which were wrapped around her cane again.
"Really?" You asked confused.
"More or less. It was more of an accusation."
"An accusation?"
Miss Venable hummed in agreement.
"I told you, that you would be punished for your behavior and you said I would enjoy it."
"I understand," you mumbled, still staring hard at her face.
"What else happened that evening?"
A smug smile danced on Wilhemina's lips and she took a moment to consider your question.
"Well, you made fun of my name," she finally began as she drummed her fingers on the skull-like handle of her stick.
"And then you said, that I was pretty and that I should be happy about it, because other people are ugly."
Your eyes froze as her words entered your brain.
Wrong turn. Wrong turn.
"Uhm .. You know, when I'm drunk I tend to perceive things a lot more intensely than they actually are and then I exaggerate occasionally," you tried desperately to get yourself out of this situation, but Miss Venable just let out a loud laugh and you realized, that you had failed miserably. You cleared your throat briefly and sat up straight again.
"You haven't answered my question yet," you said, trying to change the subject again.
"I wanted to know, if you enjoy all of this."
"Do I enjoy it if you don't obey my rules? No, I don't enjoy that, why should I?" Miss Venable said and again had that indifferent sound in her voice. Of course you knew that she had bypassed your question and that was enough to prove, that she enjoyed her monarchy in Outpost 3.
"You said earlier, that you had got over your grief. That's good to hear," said Miss Venable, and this time she was the one who changed the subject.
"I thought you didn't care what I felt".
You smiled contentedly and cocked your head. Somehow you liked this game of mutual debunking.
"I don't care either, I just wanted to be polite."
Your smile widened when you saw her fingers clench a little tighter around her stick.
"Miss Venable and polite, I don't think this is a well-working combination," you teased her and in the glow of the fire you could see her roll her eyes.
"You were a lot less tiring, when you were crying in your room all day," she muttered disapprovingly.
Why should it be such a struggle
When it means so much to you and me?
(I trip and fall into a dream)
Built like a ship in a bottle
Gotta handle you so delicately
------------------
I don't know what we got
But I know what I want
The silence is killing me softly
What. The. Fuck.
When you arrived at the Outpost a few months ago, you couldn't even have imagined in your deepest dreams, that you would ever end up in this situation.
You lay on your back, still staring at the ceiling with wide eyes as you tried to stabilize your breathing. Only now did you notice, that you had your arms wrapped around your chest and that your fingernails were digging painfully into the flesh of your shoulder. Your body lay rigid in her bed and you couldn't move an inch. You desperately tried to put the things that had happened in the right order.
Was it a stupid idea to go in Miss Venable's Bedroom? Yes, definitely. In retrospect, you didn't even know what exactly you wanted there. And actually you should have disappeared, after you saw that Wilhemina hadn't even been there. But no, of course your curious ass had to inspect her entire room.
And by the time Miss Venable came out of her bathroom in her pajamas, you had already started counting in your head how many punches Miss Mead was going to give you as punishment. You had definitely crossed the line.
But it turned out very differently than expected. Miss Venable had been angry anyway, very angry, but her anger was not expressed in words. The woman had pressed you against the wall and before you could do anything about it, her hand had slipped under your skirt, between your legs and Miss Venable had broken her own rule.
Of course you could have pushed her away, but it felt so right. You wanted so badly for someone to pay you attention and Miss Venable had kind of given you just that, when she pressed you against the wall and fucked you senselessly.
The whole thing was just so emotionless. You hadn't been able to look at her. You were ashamed of every sound you made, and if Miss Venable hadn't put her hand over your mouth, everyone in the Outpost would probably have heard you scream.
Which wouldn't have been so practical, because this man had come here a few days ago and you knew he was interviewing all the residents for the sanctuary and it wouldn't have been very beneficial for you if he'd caught you, breaking you down Venables rules. Regardless of the fact, that she had broken her rule herself.
Miss Venable hadn't said a single word about what had happened a few minutes ago, as if she had absolutely no need to justify herself.
She hadn't even looked at you when she took her hands off you and wiped them with a kleenex.
"You can sleep here tonight," she had muttered.
"It would be noticeable if you left my room now."
And now you lay next to her in bed and tried to understand all of this. Your dress was messy on the floor and all you had on was your underwear. After your fingers relaxed, you had pulled the blanket, that she wordlessly gave you over you and clung desperately to the fabric.
You had calmed down and could now hear her breathing next to you. The fact, that she was just lying next to you and probably sleeping was disturbing. At least, she could have apologized, right? Although, that didn't make sense either, because you obviously enjoyed what had happened.
You carefully turned your head towards her and saw, that her back was turned to you. And you wondered if she was really sleeping or just pretending. Miss Venable had become your most private contact in the outpost and you didn't really know what that actually meant.
You wanted so badly to touch her, but you didn't know if you had the right to do so. Only now did you notice the scars on her back, that shone through the light nightgown. Add to that the snake-like curve of her spine and suddenly you understood why she needed her stick.
"You have scoliosis," you said your thoughts out loud and you heard her hold her breath.
"Congratulations," she hummed miserably.
"You figured it die out."
You nervously began to chew your lower lip.
"Did I make anything wrong?" You asked quietly.
"Ask yourself how you got into this situation, then you will know."
"I- do you want me to go?", Your voice sounded sadder than you actually wanted.
When Miss Venable didn't answer, you felt tears welling up in your eyes as the feeling of fear grew inside you. You screwed it up. Probably the next evening you would end up like Stu as stew.
"No," Miss Venable suddenly whispered before turning to you. The red-haired woman had a blank expression on her face while she watched you cry.
She raised her hand as if to wipe the tears from your face, but she lowered it again and you had to do it yourself.
"M'sorry," you muttered.
"You're stupid if you apologize," Miss Venable replied bluntly.
"That was more than just unprofessional of me, I should have let you go and tomorrow you would have been punished."
You looked at her sadly.
"That's the only solution, isn't it? Punishment."
"I don't know exactly what you're getting at? It's actually quite simple. Those are my rules and whoever doesn't stick to them will be punished for it", Miss Venable looked at you unimpressed and you returned her gaze thoughtfully.
"What about Michael Langdon? Does he have to obey your rules too?" You finally asked.
"What does this mean?"
"Uhm well, I guess I've known you for 18 months now and the first time you seem scared."
Miss Venable raised her eyebrows.
"You don't know anything about me. I'm not even remotely an emotional chaos as you are."
Emotional chaos. Okay she had a point. You blinked a few times to force the tears, that were still glistening in your eyes back down.
"I don't know if emotional chaos is the right word," you muttered.
"You should think less about your stupid feelings," Miss Venable sighed, turning away from you again.
"They've only got you in trouble so far if you ask me."
You pressed your lips together and had to suppress an angry comment, that would only confirm her accusation. Your eyes stared at her back again. The red curls of her long hair had slipped behind her shoulders and were now curling on her back. You would have loved to stretch out your hand to touch it. You would have loved to curl up in her arms to feel safe for the first time in over a year. You wanted to kiss her. Or at least hold her hand. Anything. Just a little bit of their affection would have been enough and you would have been happy. It probably all sounds kind of selfish, because she fucked you a few minutes ago. The whole thing just wasn't particularly loving. You felt like a disgusting animal and now you wanted her to show you, you weren't. Miss Venable was only a few inches away from you and all you had to do was hold out your hand and you would feel her warmth. But while it was actually only a few centimeters, you realized, that there were worlds between you and this woman and that she was probably never further away from you than at this moment.
You and I, we just glide
Through the night
We just drive, we get by
We just glide
Maybe we're just fooling in foolish imagination
Got no destination in sight
You and I, we get by
We just glide
-------------------------
Wilhemina Venable had a great talent at pretending everything was fine.
As if nothing happened. Nothing had changed in the days after that night.
Since Michael Langdon was at the Outpost, she avoided private contact with you and the fact, that you had shared a bed didn't change that. In addition, she was just as disgusting to you in front of the others as always and that was nothing new either. And while Wilhemina no longer seemed to care about what had happened between you two, at the same time it almost killed you.
You actually expected, that she would want to talk to you about it again, but nothing had happened and that made you angry. Miss Venable would always deny it, but she was the only one who cared about you. And you appreciated her weird way of paying attention to you so much.
The only problem was, you couldn't even begin to imagine, what was going on in her head. While you were acting like a lovesick teenager, the only thing you saw of her was her deadly serious face.
Oh and Miss Venable was right, you were a fucking emotional mess. Since you woke up the next morning in her empty bed, you have cried a lot again and spent a lot of time in your room, but this time Miss Venable would probably not come to offer you alcohol as medication.
It was the afternoon of any day and you were sitting on the floor, leaning against your bed. In one hand you held a pair of scissors, while in the other you held the skirt of your dress. You were still not used to wearing long skirts after so many months and you still kept poking around at yourself, when walking through the outpost, so you decided to cut your skirts short. Of course you knew, that Wilhemina would probably kill you, if she saw you, breaking her sacred dress code, but fuck Wilhemina. At least you could finally walk properly again.
The triple knock on your door made you look up from your work and you got up to go to the door. You probably should have known it was Miss Venable who knocked. Who else has been interested in you, in the past few months?
"We need to talk," said the red-haired woman firmly, without looking at you.
You just nodded and stepped out of the door frame to make room for her.
For a brief moment you were afraid, that Miss Venable would get angry about the dress, that was lying shortened on the floor next to the scissors, but she just ignored it and stood across from you.
"Well, Miss Y / L / N, I'm just here to ugh- "
Miss Venable was interrupted by you when you, you stupid idiot, reached for her face to angrily press your lips against hers. The kiss only lasted a second in total, because Miss Venable immediately pushed you away from her and the next thing you felt was her hand lashing angrily against your right cheek. A horrified gasp escaped your lips and you looked at Wilhemina in horror as you rubbed your cheek.
"If you do that again, I'll kill you," the redhead growled, glaring at you angrily.
You looked at her hurt and felt tears start to sting in your eyes.
"M'sorry," you muttered.
"Oh of course you are," hissed Miss Venable.
"What the hell were you thinking of?"
"I just- I don't know," you stuttered desperately.
"I think I love you".
Miss Venable's eyes narrowed and she looked like she was going to punch you again.
"This is not love, this is despair, you stupid thing."
"Despair?" You breathed in horror.
"How else would you describe your behavior?" She spat and angrily started knocking her stick on the floor.
"I mean, look at you. You are a total mess. Either you cry in your room all day or you are angry at everything and everyone. You are the only person, who ruins her clothes. You are the one which most often breaks my rules, just because you are too unable to deal with your feelings. You know, everyone can handle what happened, except you, because you are so damn selfish. But you have to wake up.. Do you think, that was what I wanted, when you cried into my bed a few days ago? Oh no. And I know that, was my fault too. You know, everything what I want, is that you obey my rules, but that seems to be too much for your incompetent ass ", Wilhemina scolded and angrily knocked her stick on the floor.
"And now you come and say you love me."
She shook her head.
"As I said, this is not love, this is despair. And I don't know what kind of answer you were hoping for, from me, but let me be clear: In my opinion, of all the residents of the Outpost, you are the most pathetic and I hate you, I really do and you're sick if you even thought it would be different. "
You stared at her in shock. The feeling, that rose in you at that moment was indescribable. A mixture of disgust, shame and anger. But also the feeling of betrayal. And you couldn't say who these feelings were for, for you or for Wilhemina.
"Y-you hate me?" You stuttered, wiping the back of your hand over your cheek to remove your tears.
"I hate everyone in this outpost, that includes you too," hissed Miss Venable.
You shook your head in disbelief.
"I don't believe you," you whispered.
"I still believe, that you are scared and that is why you act like that."
"Mister Langdon will interview you tomorrow," said Miss Venable without responding to your comment.
"If you tell him anything about what happened a few days ago, I promise you will wish you were never born. With your condition, you probably won't be in the sanctuary anyway, but I will don't let me spoil this opportunity from you. Do you understand me? "
You shook your head.
"I don't understand what your problem is suddenly ... I asked you that evening if I should go and you said no."
"The whole thing was a mistake, nothing more", Miss Venable growled quietly and stepped past you to go to your door.
"I hate you and you hate me, that's all that's between us, you understand?"
You wanted to say something, but you decided not to, it didn't make any sense anyway.
"I understand," you said softly.
"Good," replied Miss Venable before turning and walking out of your room.
You stared after her sadly. Of course you didn't understand why she was suddenly so mad at you, but how could you? Miss Venable had wanted to end whatever was between you, so that she would not feel guilty if you were to be murdered by her in a few days. She had never meant to offend you, but she had to make it clear to herself, that she didn't love you. She just couldn't love you.
Show me freedom
'Cause love don't cost a thing
Give me freedom
Yeah don't just let me leave
--------------------
"Miss Y / L / N", Mister Langdon barked and slapped the table with the palm of his hand. You winced and looked disturbed into the blond man's eyes.
"I asked you something".
He leaned down to you and his face was only a few inches from yours.
"Are you in love?"
You swallowed and blinked a few times, before you whispered softly:
"I am not."
The man leaned back and looked at you thoughtfully for a few seconds.
"Well, Miss Y / L / N," he finally sighed.
"You can go."
Without looking at the man again, you got up to run out of the room. You tripped and if you hadn't held onto the wall next to the door, you would have fallen. For a moment you leaned against the wall with your eyes closed and took a deep breath.
This man was disgusting and a little too intimate for your taste, no wonder, that no one liked him.
You opened your eyes again and realized, that Miss Venable was staring down at you as she leaned against the railing.
Your eyes were lost in hers, her almost black eyes in which the light of the torches is always reflected. You wanted to say something, but you were afraid, that she would leave and you didn't want that. Miss Venable had put on her indifferent expression as always and, as always, you did not know what was going on inside the woman.
Your lips formed a mute "fuck you" when you saw her turn away from you to move. And the faint tapping of her cane proved to you, that she was indeed leaving and you knew that she would not come back.
Maybe we're just fooling in foolish imagination
Got no destination in sight
You and I, we get by
We just glide

summary: Nathan has a crush on you and he’s grumpy about it. He’s got sexual frustration pent up and he need to do something about it.
a/n: this smug beardy asshole lives in my mind RENT FREE i had to write about him some more
Tumblr media
Frustration
You get under Nathan’s skin and he hates it. He can’t quite put his finger on what it is about you that makes him crazy – and that’s what makes him crazy. Ever since you moved out here to help after his ‘incident’ he prefers to have real people around, even if they are more complicated than AI. But you, fuck, you make his head spin and he wish he knew why.
Maybe it’s because you’re exactly his type. Maybe you’re the most beautiful woman ever created. He doesn’t know if he believes in God, but he knows whoever made you was an artist. Everything you do makes his chest tighten. And he doesn’t have a damn clue what to do about any of it.
He knows you deserve better than an asshole like him anyways. So, he pushes whatever the hell he’s feeling down. Down deep. He used to drink to quiet his mind, now he drinks to get the thoughts of you out of his head.
But it doesn’t fuckin’ work.
He aches, he aches for you in a way he doesn’t understand.
He tries to break it down for himself in a scientific manner.
Ok. So, you’re a beautiful woman, and it’s chemicals in his body that make him want to be with you right? Just chemicals.
But it’s so loud, it’s so loud in his head. The thing is though you simultaneously quiet his mind with your presence. Your voice, your laugh. He’d burn the whole world down if anyone hurt you. He lives for that look in your eyes when you get flustered.
He has a damn crush on you and he’s mad about it.
He wakes one morning after having a very intimate dream about you, and he must go outside to box. He’s got to get this energy out. It’s a particularly cold morning, the chill washes over his arms. He sloppily wraps his hands, ready to punch away the images of you naked from his mind.
He’s never actually seen you naked, but fuck if he doesn’t want to know. He respects you enough that he turned off the cameras in your room. He might have peeked a few times, but you were always asleep or clothed. He feels slightly guilty about looking, but not even that he doesn’t peek occasionally.
He hits the bag hard. Trying to chase the dream away. He had you groaning and crying from pleasure, and he can’t get rid of how you sounded.
The chill of the air starts to feel good when he starts to sweat. The sweat on his brow not just from his exertion, but from the need building up inside of him. Adrenaline pumps through his veins. He’s hitting the bag hard; his knuckles will be bruised and tender later.
When it starts to rain and the temperature drops, he unwillingly heads inside.
He’s greeted with the sight of you in the kitchen, making some hot tea on this cold morning. You’re wearing an oversized sweatshirt; it hits your mid-thigh. You have long warm socks that go up to your knee. There’s a precious bit of bare skin on your legs that has him swallow harshly. Your hair is adorably messy, and you’re humming. You don’t know he’s there, or maybe you do.
“Hey,” he says, letting you know he’s there. And fuck was that his voice? It sounded like he was in pain.
Maybe because he is. He’s hard in his gym shorts and there’s no way you won’t notice when you turn around.
“Good morning!” your voice is cheery and sleep still clings to it. Fuck him you’re cute. “Are you alright?” you ask when you turn, your brow is furrowed.
“Worked out a little too hard,” he laughs. Wrong choice of words Bateman. He knows you see the look on his face, but you give him a gentle smile anyways. If you saw him hard through his pants he doesn’t know.
You’re accustomed to his quirks, so it’s not unusual when he darts out of the room.
He has a problem that he needs to take care of now. He thinks about a cold shower, but no. He needs the release.
Once he’s in his room he strips himself of his sweaty clothes and flops naked on his bed. His hand grabbing himself with need, and his groan is a little too loud. He thinks about you. Your smile. Your legs. How much he wants to suck on your tits. How badly he wants to smack your ass, have you whimper for him. Fuck he wants to kiss you. To hold you.
His hand speeds up, he’s groaning loudly, and he doesn’t care if you hear. Maybe this would solve his problem. He pushes the thought from his mind that you might not want him. He’s seen the shy smiles.
Those are his favorite, the little shy glances you give him when he’s being snarky. He loves when you sass him back too but shit those little shy grins. To die for.
He’s so close, the thoughts of you have him tipping over the edge and spilling all over his hand and stomach.
His physical need is satisfied, but he still has a need. He showers now and it doesn’t help. He still wants you, but at least his aching sexual need for the moment has quieted down.
He’d been afraid he wouldn’t be able to look at you after this, but he now wants to. Wants to see you. But it’s you now that can’t look at him.
When you’d finished making your tea, you took it back to your room. Maybe it was a glitch, he’s still ironing those out after the incident, but your TV turns on and there’s a video feed of a very naked Nathan jerking himself off. You almost turn it off, but when you hear your name fall from his lips you can’t turn your eyes away.
Nathan is sharp, he knows something is up when you can barely look him for the next couple days. You’re acting shyer than normal.
“So, what’s up?” he sits down in front of you in the living room one night. You were reading, but Nathan pulls the book from your hands, making you look at him. “Why won’t you look at me?”
“I-“ your eyes are big, pupils dilated.
Suddenly it clicks.
You start to stand up. You know he won’t be satisfied until he has his answer. And he knows you know that.
He grabs your wrist. He doesn’t even look at you when he speaks.
“I know you saw.”
His finger on your pulse point tells him all he needs to know.
“You liked it. Didn’t you?”
Your heart is beating faster.
“You heard me say your name.” He let’s go of your wrist, and he stands now in front of you. He watches your face; your eyes are dark with arousal. You’re trembling.
He mentally yells at himself; he doesn’t want to scare you away. His next move is a gentler one, he lightly cups your face in his hands. And he watches you melt into his touch. That’s it. A smile grows that look of arousal still in your eyes.
He doesn’t know who closes the gap between you, but he shudders to kiss you finally. You haven’t stopped trembling in his arms, and he’s endeared by it.
When you break apart for air, he looks at you. His dark brown eyes full of a softness you don’t see much.
“I know I’m an asshole, and you deserve better than me. But would you give me a chance?”
“Yes,” you giggle and lean up to kiss his cheek. Fuck he felt that in his dick. “And next time I’m so desirable that you have to leave to go jerk off will you let me know? I can help with that.”
Fuck.
“Yeah,” he laughs, “Yeah I will kitten. You wanna, help me out now?” He pushes his hips forward into you, his arousal against your thigh is unmistakable.
When you lean into him, he sighs in relief. His dreams of you is about to become a reality.

Changes. (Part 1)
-----------------------------------
Summary: You follow Stiles and your brother Scott out into the woods to find a body. Problem is; Scott’s not the only one to get bit..
Fandom: Teen Wolf.
Warnings: Mentions of a dead body, a swear word, etc.
Word Count: 2,919
Pairings: Scott McCall X Sister!Reader, Stiles Stilinski X Reader (Platonic).
Note: I just felt like writing this, and if there’s anything wrong with this, let me know, please and thank you. I didn’t expect this to be this long, so I broke it down to a few parts.
------------------------------------
Listening to music on you iPod, you were studying for your English class tomorrow, wanting to be prepared on your first day back to school.
You jumped when you felt a hand on your shoulder.
Turning around, you realized it’s only Scott, taking out your earphones, you asked, “yeah?”
Scott sighed, “I take it you didn’t hear that noise outside?” He asked you.
You shook your head, “nope. I’m studying for tomorrow.” You answered him, gesturing to your workbook and notes. “Also listening to music.” You added.
“It’s only the first day of school tomorrow. Why are you studying now?” Scott questioned you, you shrugged your shoulders.
“I like to be prepared.” You answered simply, you turned to your window. You definitely heard that, you looked to Scott, raising a brow.
You stood up, grabbing your sweater and following behind Scott.
~
You stood by the front door, watching Scott hold the bat defensively, looking for the source of the noise.
You guessed that it was only Stiles, who refused to use the door like a normal person, you shook your head, sighing.
Your guess was correct, watching Scott and Stiles scream at each other.
After their screaming match, you walked over to Scott, laughing quietly. “Stiles, what the hell are you doing?!” Scott exclaimed, almost out of breath.
“He obviously knew the door would be locked, and did what he normally does.” You explained to Scott, winking at Stiles. You saw him blush slightly.
You smiled, “exactly! And you guys weren’t answering your guys’ phones.” Stiles said, looking at the bat in Scott’s hands, “why do you have a bat?” He questioned Scott.
“Because I thought you were a predator!” Scott exclaimed, “a pred- look, I know it’s late, but you guys gotta hear this. I saw my dad leave twenty minutes ago. Dispatch called.
They’re bringing in every officer from the Beacon Department, and even state police,” Stiles explains. Scott, finally lowering the bat, “for what?” He asked.
“Two joggers found a body in the woods.” Stiles says simply, jumping down from the roof.
“A dead body?” You and Scott questioned at the same time, leaning over the railing. Stiles looked at you and Scott, “it’s creepy how you guys still do that.” He commented to himself.
“No, a body of water. Yes, dumb-ass, a dead body.” Stiles answered your and Scott’s question sarcastically, jumping over the porch rail.
You rolled your eyes, “you mean like, murdered?” Scott asked, “nobody knows yet. Just that it was a girl, probably in her 20′s.” Stiles answered, hands on his hips.
“Hold on, if they found a body, then what are they looking for?” Scott asked again, you looked to Stiles, “yeah?” You added, raising an eyebrow.
Stiles looked between you and Scott, oddly excited.
“That’s the best part.” Stiles says, pausing for dramatic effect. “They only found half. We’re going.” He added, grabbing your and Scott’s arms, dragging you both towards his jeep.
You were complaining about wanting to finish your studying, Stiles turned to you.
“Studying? It’s the first day back to school tomorrow and you’re already studying?” He asked you in disbelief.
You sighed, “I like to be prepared.” You say yet again, but this time to Stiles. “Huh, it’s a wonder that you guys are twins.
Are you sure you’re twins? ‘Cause you guys are such opposites.” Stiles says to you and Scott.
Scott and you shared a look, before getting into the jeep.
You and Scott always hear that question, and you’ve both grown to not answer that question anymore.
~
On the way, you were humming a song that got stuck in your head, listening to Scott and Stiles talk to each other.
Stiles parked the jeep, getting out. You and Scott followed after him, “are we seriously doing this?” Scott asked hesitantly, looking between you and Stiles.
You smiled when they weren’t looking at you, “do we have a choice? Stiles practically kidnapped us.” You say jokingly, flailing your arms at your side.
You laughed when Stiles turned to look at you.
Stiles laughed with you, winking. “Hey. I did not kidnap you both. I simply guided you both to my car, and you guys got in, on your own free will.” He says, playing along, pointing and waving a finger at you.
You looked at him, smiling.
Scott just shook his head at the both of you, a small smile on his face. He loved the both of you, but you both drive him crazy sometimes.
“Besides, you’re the one that’s always bitching that nothing ever happens in this town.” Stiles says to Scott, walking into the woods.
“He’s got a point.” You added, following behind Stiles. Scott watched you and Stiles walk off, in disbelief.
Ignoring both you and Stiles, “I was trying to get a good night’s sleep for practice tomorrow.” Scott says, walking towards you and Stiles.
Stiles huffed, “right, ‘cause sitting on the bench is such a grueling effort.”
Scott sighed, “no, because I’m playing this year. In fact, I’m making first line.” He says confidently.
You smiled, knowing he can do it. He just need a lot of practice though.
“Hey that’s the spirit.” Stiles says, you looked at him dumbfounded. “Everyone should have a dream, even a pathetically unrealistic one.” He added.
‘Ah. There it is,’ you thought. “Well, Stiles, I believe he can do it, if he puts enough effort into it.” You say, trying to reassure Scott, smiling at him.
Scott scoffed, “just out of curiosity, which half of the body are we looking for?” He asked, changing the subject.
You stopped walking, waiting for Stiles’ answer. “Huh!” He says, continuing to walk. “I didn’t even think about that.” He added.
You shook your head, starting to walk again, going by Scott. “And uh, what if whoever killed the body is still out here?” Scott asked again, hands in his pockets, a smile of disbelief on his face.
You wondered how you survived with the both of them around, what with them dragging you around every where.
Shaking your head from your thoughts, you walked up by Stiles. “Also something I didn’t think about.” Stiles says, climbing up the hill.
“Wow, great plan Stiles.” You commented sarcastically, following behind Stiles.
“It’s comforting to know you’ve planned this out with your usual attention to detail.” Scott added breathlessly, leaning against a tree on the side of the hill.
“I know.” Stiles says, continuing to climb up. You stopped, waiting for Scott.
He took out his inhaler, you offered him a hand to help him up, he took it. “Thanks.” He said, you nodded your head, smiling.
“Maybe the severe asthmatic should be the one holding the flashlight, huh?” Scott asks, ducking down by Stiles, you followed their lead.
You saw police men with flashlights and dogs, you regretted coming along with Stiles.
Stiles turned off the flashlight he had in his hands, “wait, come on!” He says, getting up and running in the opposite direction of the cops.
You got up, following behind Stiles. “Stiles, wait up! Stiles! Y/n!” Scott yelled after the both of you.
You were about five feet behind Stiles, Scott not that far behind you. “Stiles!” Scott called out again, you stopped walking, waiting for Scott.
Stiles looked behind himself, but turned around again. You almost continued walking, until you felt arms wrapping around your waist.
Scott covered your mouth to stop you from screaming, pulling you close to him behind a tree. Scott moved his hand away from your mouth.
He held a finger to his mouth, telling you to be quiet, you nodded your head in understanding, hearing dogs barking and people yelling.
“Hang on, hang on. This little delinquent belongs to me.” You hear Sheriff Stilinski say, “dad, how are you doing?” You hear Stiles ask his dad.
“So, do you listen in to all of my phone calls?” Sheriff asked, ignoring Stiles’ question.
“No.” Stiles answered unconvincingly, “not the boring ones.” He admitted.
“Now, where’s your usual partners in crime?” Stiles’ dad asked him, “who? Scott and Y/n? They’re home. Scott said he wanted to get a good night’s sleep for
first day back at school tomorrow. And you know Y/n, she’s probably studying.” Stiles says, slightly lying to his dad.
You shook you head, “it’s just me. In the woods. Alone” Stiles added.
Unconvinced, Stiles’ dad held out his flashlight, moving it around the woods behind Stiles. “Scott, Y/n, you guys out there?” He called out to you and Scott.
Scott and you ducked behind the tree again, tense. “Scott? Y/n?” He yelled out again. “I hate this, lying to Stiles’ dad.” You whispered to Scott.
Scott looked at you, “I know, me too.” He whispered back, “well, young man, I’m gonna walk you back to your car. And you and I, are gonna have a conversation
about something called; invasion of privacy.“ Stiles’ dad stated, you watched him drag Stiles away.
You looked at Scott, who mouthed, ‘oh come on!’ You huffed, crossing your arms, “so, our ride is gone.” You stated, moving away from him and the tree.
You hear Scott sigh, “come on, let’s find the road and go home.” He says, walking in a different direction from the way you guys came from.
You said nothing, following behind Scott. You looked around, almost sure you guys were lost. ‘Great,’ you thought.
Scott looked up, still walking, you did the same. Hearing all the different animals, sent a shiver down your spine.
Scott stopped walking, looking at the scenery in front of you guys with a curious yet confused look on his face, you stopped by him.
“Why are you stopping?” You asked him, seeing him take out his inhaler.
“Listen.” He says, you looked at him confused, but listened anyways. “It’s quiet.” He added, “yeah.” You added quietly, it was odd.
A moment later deer came running towards you and Scott. You both screamed and fell to the ground. You covered your head with your arms, trying to see where Scott was.
After they were gone, you got up, helping Scott up as well. Trying to calm your racing heart, “my inhaler.” Scott says, looking around for it.
Your eyes widened when he said that, “what? You dropped it?” You asked him, helping him look around for it. They were not cheap to come by.
Scott didn’t look at you, not noticing that you were looking as well, “yes, I dropped it. Help me look!” He says desperately, you rolled your eyes, but kept looking.
You saw Scott turn his phone on for lighting, you sighed, wishing you brought your phone with you, but you left it at home, on your desk.
After a while of looking in the dark, you walked over to Scott who still had his phone out, looking for his inhaler. “Anything?” You asked him, he shook his head, sighing.
He ran his phone over the ground still looking, dismissing the top part of a human body, but did a double-take, running his phone back to the face of the body.
You both screamed, although Scott walked backwards and fell, “Scott!” You yelled, eyes widening in shock, carefully going down the hill to make sure he was okay.
You helped him up, “god, I sometimes wonder whose the clumsiest out of the both of us.” You say jokingly, rubbing mud off of your hands and onto your jeans.
Scott looked at you, smiling. “Oh, come on. We both know it’s you.” He joked, you looked at him, laughing.
“I’d argue back, but just yesterday I completely missed the couch sitting down.” You say, shaking your head.
Scott looked at you, both eyebrows raised, “how do you miss the couch sitting down?” He asked incredulously, laughing in amusement.
You flailed your arms, “I was reading a book! Things happen.” You say, laughing with him.
“But seriously, are you alright?” You asked him, worried. “Yeah, I’m fine.” He says, jumping over a fallen tree.
You followed his lead, but you both stopped when you heard growling. You both turned around, eyes widening. There was a wolf, bigger than you can imagine.
Before you guys can do anything, it ran towards you and Scott, knocking you both down. Scott and you tried to crawl away from it, but it dragged Scott backwards, biting him.
You heard Scott scream, you got a bit further than Scott, but it dragged you backwards as well. You screamed when it bit into your side, it hovered over you for a few seconds before it ran away.
You lied there, feeling your heart beat against your chest, you see Scott’s hand in front of you.
You grabbed it, he pulled you up to your feet, both of you running in any direction, looking for the road.
You both found it, although you ran onto the road, not noticing the car that was heading straight for you.
Scott pulled you into him and away from the car, you heard it honking. Barely missing the both of you, you and Scott watched it drive away.
You rested your head against Scott, sighing. You pulled away from him, looking at the moon, you finally noticed that it was raining.
You looked over to Scott, who was looking at his bite from the wolf on his side, you notice the blood running down from the wound.
He looked at you, lowering his sweater and shirt, “did it bite you too?” He asked you, nodding your head, you lifted your shirt and sweater, showing where it bit you.
Scott looked at it, sighing, you lowered your shirt and sweater. It was on the same spot as Scott’s, just on your left side.
As you and Scott started to walk, there was a howl. It made a shiver go down your spine.
“I can clean and bandage our bites at the animal clinic.” Scott says, walking besides you, “okay.” You say quietly.
You knew you both should go to the hospital, but you said nothing. Following besides Scott.
~
You both walked inside the animal clinic, Scott lead you to the examining room.
You sat on one of the chairs that was in there, watching Scott gather the things he needs to clean and bandage both of your bites.
Scott walked over to you once he had everything he needed, making you stand up, lifting up your shirt and sweater.
“This might sting.” He warned you, you nodded your head.
He poured it over your wound, he was right, it stung like a bitch. You grabbed onto the arm of the chair, hissing slightly.
Scott looked at you apologetically, “sorry.” He said, putting the bandage on you, once he was done, you sat back down. Watching him do the same thing to himself.
You sat there in your thoughts, watching Scott clean up a little, “I wonder why that wolf was in the woods.” You say after a while, Scott looked at you confused.
“What do you mean?” He asked you, leaning forward against the table in front of him.
You sat up straight, looking at him in surprise. “You don’t know?” You questioned him, he shook his head, “no.” He answers.
“Well, there was no wolves in California, for at least 60 years.” You explained to him, “like I said, I wonder what that wolf was doing in the woods.” You added in thought.
Scott looked at you, not believing you, “really?” He asked you, “yup. Stiles is going to say the same thing when you tell him.” You say to him, standing up.
Both of you going to the front of the clinic, “I’ll bet you five bucks if he does.” You added, smiling mischievously.
Scott glanced at you, smiling as well, “you’re on.” He said, locking the door to the animal clinic.
You grinned, both of you starting to walk home.
~
You unlocked the front door, walking inside, Scott following behind you, closing the door.
Both of you walked up the stairs in silence, you made it to your room first, turning towards Scott.
“Night,” you say, walking into your room, you hear him reply, before closing your door.
Sighing, changing out of your clothes and into pajamas. You looked around your room, seeing your clothes scattered on your floor.
Deciding to clean up, you started with the clothes on the floor. After you were done, you sat at your desk, looking at your notes.
Once you went over them, you put them in your bag. You went downstairs for a glass of water.
Walking back towards the stairs, you hear the front door open. Peaking your curiosity, you looked towards the door, seeing your mom. “Hi, mom,” you greeted her.
She looked at you surprised, “hi, sweetie.” She says, closing the door.
“What are you still doing up?” She asked you, you shrugged your shoulders, “was just getting a cup of water.” You answered, showing her the cup of water in your hands.
She nodded her head, chuckling, “okay, is your brother still up?” She asked again, “I don’t think so.” You replied, both of you walking up the stairs.
“Alright, go to bed. There’s school tomorrow.” She scolded playfully, nudging you with her shoulder.
You giggled, “okay, okay. Good night, mom.” You say to her walking into your room.
“Night, sweetie.” You hear her reply, walking into her room. You set your cup of water on your nightstand, going onto your bed.
You turned off your light, going to sleep.

The Chief's Secret
(Kyalin)
A small get together is being thrown at air temple island, its been a while since everyone's seen each other so they decided to have a group supper to catch up.
It wasn't until Lin removed her armor, out of pure habit that she realized her mistake.
"Uh, Beifong, what is that?" Korra asked, looking at a point next to her shoulder. Lin looked down at her chest, blushing.
"Its nothing, collateral damage is all." Korra leaned in closer, her hands on her hips, a smirk appearing on her face.
"Oh my Raava. I know what that is! Asami! Beifong's got a hickey!" Lin face palmed, urging Korra to keep her voice down. Asami ran over, her eyes widening at the sight.
"Korra you werent kidding." Asami said, her too looking closer.
"Stop it," Lin grunted, bending her armour back on, concealing it again.
"Well well well..." Korra smiled deviously, "looks like you owe us an explanation."
"I owe you nothing!" Lin spat, crossing her arms.
"Fine. I'll just ask your sister." Lins eyes widened in terror as Korra hollered for Su, who looked at them from across the way. Korra waved for her to come over and Lin almost sent her flying with a Boulder the size of the island.
"Whats up you guys? Lin," Su smiled with a dip of her head.
"Su, I have something to ask you..." Korra grinned evily and Lin looked away in embarrassment.
"Anything Korra."
"Where might Lin get a hickey?" Su turned to Lin, her eyes wide and filled with an unreasonable amount of excitement.
"Lin!" She gasped, "what is she talking about?"
"Its nothing," Lin replied in her best attempt at a casual voice.
"Its not nothing, spill the tea!" Asami chipped in. Before Lin could reply, Su bent her armor off her, revealing the bruise on its prominent place on her collarbone.
"Oh my God," Su said with a grin. "Lin!" She added in a high pitched tone, giving her sister a friendly swat.
"Its not a big deal. Just a one night thing." She lied. She knew it was much more than a one night thing. But it was her thing, she didn't need them tainting it.
"Is there more?" Su asked, looking Lin up and down.
"No! Stop with the ridiculous questions!"
"Oh there's definitely more," Korra said with confidence.  Lin sighed in frustration, just when she didn't think things could get worse, Kya walked up beside Su.
"Whats going on here?" Kya said, her smirk telling Lin she already knew.
"Beifong's got a hickey," Korra replied.
"She won't say anything," Su added, narrowing her eyes.
"A hickey? Well Lin I had no idea that was your thing," Kya said with a wink. Lin gave her an angry glare, and Kya just stuck her tongue out in response.
"Its no one's business," she said again, knowing it wouldn't be enough to satisfy them.
"Look, Lin just tell us some details, maybe how he looked, his height, where he works, his name..." Asamis's attempt at... whatever that was failed miserably when Lin scoffed.
"Whoever it was, it looks like you two had a good time." Kya said, running her tongue over her lips.
"Oh we did," Lin said, deciding to change her course of action, "it was like nothing I've ever done before. It was so raw, neither of us expected it, and before you ask, Korra, I was indeed on top." Everyone's jaw dropped, but Lin only looked at Kya whos look of surprise changed to anger at Lin's lie. Kya loved to be topped, and thats usually how things went, but not last night. The waterbender was good at what she did, and she knew it, but Lin would never give her the satisfaction of saying so.
"Wow, I thought that only happened in my dreams," the Avatar replied, getting a nudge from Asami.
"Suppers ready!" Pemas voice called over the crowd.
"Good timing." Lin smirked as she left the crowd. She was well aware of Kya following her, the waterbender's footsteps heavy with anger. Lin took a seat, feeling Kya's hair rub against her arm.
"You are a cruel, cruel woman."
"Thanks, I try."
"If you want a repeat of last night I suggest you fix this."
"I told you not to leave one."
"I can't help it. Have you seen yourself naked?" With that Kya pulled her mouth from Lin's ear, flopping aggressively down next to her.
Dinner started in a sweet silence  Lin managed to avoid and further questions about the bruise, coming up with a bullet wound just in case. But she was well aware of her sisters eyes staring at her from across the table, her pupils filled with questions. She was also well aware of Kya's hand stroking her thigh underneath the table. The waterbender rubbed it on the outside at first, then she went up, and on the inside. Currently, she gripped it, squeezing lightly as Lin tried to manage a conversation with Zhu-Li.
"So anyway I think if we were..." she trailed off, Kya's touch distracting her.
"Sorry can you give me a minute? I just need to run to the powder room." Zhu Li nodded and Lin stood up, more abruptly and pronounced than she had wanted, but she dipped her head quietly at the table before dismissing herself.
As expected, Kya followed her to the bathroom a couple minutes later, using their secret knock to let Lin know it was her.
"You are intolerable." Lin said when the door was closed.
"That was not what you said last night," Kya smirked, crossing her arms. Lin glared at her, promoting Kya to place her hands on Lin's shoulders, rubbing a thumb over the hickey.
"You can't possibly think its easy for me to see them standing out there, ogling you, wondering about your serial escapades, assuming its with, dare I say it, men." Kya elaborated, her smirk turning into a frown.
"I never said it was a guy."
"But people expect that, Lin thats just the way things are." Lin frowned.
"I'm sorry, but, I did get you riled up."
"And I got you back, so I'd say we're even."
"Not quite," Lin said, pulling Kya into a kiss. Kya giggled,  wrapping her arms around Lin's neck.
"What compelled you to take your armor off? You wear it all the time and tonight you decided would be a good time to go without?" Kya chuckled.
"Its this island, it makes me want to remove layers."
"Its the island? Or someone on it?" Kya suggested, pulling herself to kiss behind Lin's ear.
"The island. You're not the only one I've undressed here for." Kya pulled away, swatting Lin on the chest.
"Really?"
"Sorry, sorry. You are the only one who currently makes me want to undress on this island."
"Better, but you need to work on your flirting."
"You thought my flirting was just fine on Saturday."
"Perfect. Now we better get back to that dinner, or Su is going to suspect something."
"Ugh. Fine." Lin opened the door, and Korra fell into the bathroom, Su and Asami standing behind her with wide eyes. Korra looked up to Lin from her spot on the floor.
"Oh hey Lin I didn't know anyone was in here." The avatar said weakly. Lin sighed , offering her hand to Korra who took it.
"Well?" Lin asked them.
"Ummm, just to clarify," Korra started, "I didn't get a whole lot of that conversation, what I did get was hot by the way, but you guys are... um.... banging it out right?" Kya looked to Lin, doing her best to hide her smile.
"Yes, Korra." Lin admitted.
"Ob let's go!" The avatar cheered, high fiving Asami.
"Lin," Su said, "why didn't you say anything?"
"Because of that," Lin replied, pointing to Korra who danced around a laughing Asami in her moment of glee.
"We were keeping it on the down low," Kya elaborated, "we planned on telling you guys soon, but its sensitive. Lin has a very reknown role in the city, and some people won't see her the same way if this type of thing were too.... come out." Su frowned, looking at Kya and then Lin.
"I understand," she said after a moment. "So I take it this is more than you two 'banging it out?'" Lin felt herself blush, and she turned to Kya who had a similar color to her cheeks.
"Yeah, its a little more than that." Kya replied, a smile spreading across her lips. She was looking directly at Lin, who smiled in return.
"Well, I'm happy for you, and Lin, please don't be a stranger. I know we've had our troubles, but you can tell me anything."
"Thank you Su," Lin replied, "do you mind keeping it on the down-low? At least until we tell Tenzin?"
"Of course, anything. But, those two might be harder to convince." Theh looked to Korra, who was still chanting around an exhausted Asami, Lin was glad that at least she had processed the news.
"Beifong's gotta girlfriend!"
"Ladies and gentlemen, our avatar," she said sarcastically. The three of them laughed, and Lin felt the hairs on her arms raise when Kya gripped her arm, running her hand down it briefly. They returned to the table, after swearing Korra to secrecy, enjoying the rest of the meal in a newfound peace. That didn't stop Kya from leaving soft touches every now and then on Lin's leg.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Kya froze her hands to the headboard, she took the liberty of pulling off her top,  leaving her breasts displayed in her white bra, and exposing her underside with only a simple lace thong to cover up. She heard a knock on the door, her excitement bubbling up.
"Come in," she said in the most sultry voice she could muster.  The door opened, and instead of Lin's usual heart stopping beauty, a bald head, covered only with a blue arrow stepped in.
"Kya have you- Oh my Raava!" Tenzin said, covering his eyes.
"Tenzin!" Kya yelled, breaking her icy restraints and covering herself with a blanket. "Knock next time!"
"I did knock! Why did you tell me to come in?!"
"I thought you were someone else?"
"Who?" As if summoned by Vaatu herself, Lin came in through Kya's window.
"Sorry I'm late I got caught up- Tenzin?" Lin looked to Kya eitha panick and the waterbender shrugged, her face scrunched up in a cringe.
"Lin?" He asked in confusion. He looked to Lin, then to Kya, then back to Lin, a horrified look of realization on his face.
"Oh-oh my..." he said, his voice barely audible.
"You and Lin... you? Kya?" He stammered. Kya bit her lips together, shaking her head up and down. Tenzin placed a hand against the doorframe to stabilize himself and Lin's face went red with embarrassment.
"What are you doing?" Kya whispered while Tenzin was rebooting in the corner.
"I came in through the window because there were acolytes outside the dorms."
"Its cleaning day," Tenzin said from his spot by the door, "they stay up later to clean the dormitories."
"Tenzin," Kya spoke gently, "this has been great, but can Lin and I have some privacy?." Tenzin nodded, backing out of her room as if he hand seen the ghost of Kyoshi.
"What happened?" Lin asked.
"I thought he was you!"
"Weren't you listening for the knock?"
"I was distracted!" Kya protested, nodding toward the headboard which still had ice stuck to it. Lin put her palm to her face with a sigh.
"Well its out now." She groaned. Kya walked up to her, placing a hand under her jaw.
"Hey, maybe this is a good thing," Kya said. "Maybe this means we can take this thing a little further."
"Further than this?" Lin said sarcastically, looking at Kya's outfit, or lack thereof.
"Haha. I did this for you, remember."
"I'm sure under different circumstances I would appreciate it."
"Yes, well what I meant is, maybe its time we make this more than a couple dates, more than the sporadic sex, which I love, but why don't we  I don't know.... be together? For real this time." Lin looked at her, and for a moment Kya thought she ruined it.
"Okay." Lin replied after a moment.
"Okay?"
"Yeah, I like you Kya. And I want more too. Starting with severing all ties to this island."
"Normally I'd disagree, but I'm so happy I'll do whatever you want right now." Lin raised an eyebrow, and Kya took the opportunity to wink.
"After we get to your place."

Get a Clue
In which Bakugou only smiles around the people he wants to be around, and his girl (y/n) isn't one of them, especially the man who's hitting on her.
pairing: asshole!bakugou x fem reader

genre: angst, lovers to enemies

Tumblr media
The car had a tense atmosphere. After one hour into their two hour drive up to their mutual friend Todoroki's wedding, Bakugou and (y/n) hadn’t spoken to each other once, his attention being kept on the road, whilst hers was on the phone in her hands.
“Useless fucking GPS.” Irritation pricked at him as he took a U-turn when they reached a dead end.
“It said to take a left, then a right.” She stated, rolling her eyes in the process.
“And look where it got us.” Rage churned inside of him.
“You took two lefts.” She indicated, glancing over at him just in time to chuckle at him taking notice of his mistake since he swallowed down his frustration.
“Thanks.” He deadpanned, not sounding even an ounce grateful.
//
They had only been in the reception of the wedding for half an hour when (y/n) noticed Bakugou start to fidget beside her and unnecessarily tap his fingers on the table as if he was counting down the minutes until he could get home.
“Listen to the best man's speech, will you?” She whispered.
“Is it possible for you to go at least two minutes without being annoying?” Bakugou rolled his eyes.
“Is it possible for you to go at least two minutes without that snarl on your face?” (y/n) retorted, “You have a pretty smile, you should show off those teeth more often.”
“I smile around people I want to be around.”
“Oh c'mon, your best friend is getting wedded!” She giggled, moving her chair closer to whisper. “That lady seated across us may look frightening but she's got a big personality and that guy who accidentally stepped on your foot is probably really sweet too-“
“I was talking about you.” His frustration kicked in.
“M-me?” She stuttered, not expecting that from him at all despite his provocative attitude ever since she stopped by his house earlier morning to drive them here.
“Yes, you.” He spoke slowly, as if he was talking to a kid. “You give me an actual headache when you talk. I thought I made that clear. Wake up, get a clue!“
He held up a finger to indicate he wasn't quite done yet. “And I’m not smiling if I want to, it's not as if I’m making the guests tremble with fear. They always seem to choose me over you and, to be straightforward, I don’t blame them because you're so tiring to be with.”
Ouch. That stung. She took a second to sort through her rapidly moving thoughts. "I thought things were going g-great."
Bakugou let out the fakest laugh ever. "Real low, (y/n)."
"Why the fuck are we even together anymore?!" Y/N eventually whisper-yelled, throwing her hands up in exasperation.
"Fuck knows why," he practically spat. "I wouldn't even give a shit if you left."
She was at loss for words, opening and closing her mouth and blinking back the tears she could feel stinging her eyes. She quickly and quietly picking her things up because she no longer had to be here.
"Where – " Bakugou sighed, shutting his eyes and throwing his head back slightly as he groaned. "Where are you going, (y/n)?" He asked tiredly, looking back at the woman in question.
"Why do you care?" (y/n) scoffed, still seated. "You don't want to be around me anyway, right? You want me to take a hint, right?" She mocked. "So...I’m leaving. Leaving, as in— leaving. I’m done. I’m finished, I can’t—” she shook her head. “I’m done. We’re over.”
Bakugou turns to look at her, an almost unimpressed look on his face. “... Okay. And?” He had a sinister smile on his face. “We were never going to last. You’re just— not good enough for me.”
The Bakugou she fell in love with is now nothing but a stranger to her.
//
(y/n) was in a little black dress that flaunted off her legs with just the right amount of cleavage. Hair's let down, styled carefully, make-up done up as best as she could. (y/n)'s already normally usually feeling like she wasn't good enough for anyone, so having someone she loved with all heart point it out made her feel miserable because tonight was supposed to be different since she actually felt confident and comfortable in her own skin for the first time in ages.
It's been an hour since she broke it off with Bakugou. Sobbing silently, (y/n) headed to the wedding's open bar instead, ordering a beer. It was a cheap brand so it tasted like shit but she drank it anyway, knowing that she'd have to borrow money from Bakugou in order to get herself something more expensive. She mentally scolded herself for thinking of him, causing her to curse loudly at herself.
A soft chuckle from beside her made her jump, and she's met with the sight of a very attractive dark-haired man, maybe a year or two older than herself.
"Can I buy you something else? Doesn't sit right on the tongue, doesn't it?" He nodded over to the glass bottle she's got her fingers wrapped around.
Y/N smiled, shaking her head lightly, "Doesn't really matter, as long as it eases the pain" she shrugged a shoulder.
The man pulled a face, "It's still pretty terrible."
"... Yeah, kinda is," she answered and she's laughing lightly – the man also laughing along. "I'm, uh, (y/n), by the way," she grinned from ear to ear, offering him a hand to shake.
"I'm – " he started, but was cut off by someone clearing their throat and then there was the feel of someone wrapping their arm around Y/N's waist.
"Don't know, don't care," Bakugou's familiar voice drifted into her ears and it's obviously him that's got his arm wrapped around her waist because no one else could immediately make her feel so warm and safe by just a simple act of love. Until an hour ago, that is. So she physically restrained herself from leaning into his touch and slid away from his hold.
The stranger cleared his throat awkwardly, eyeing Bakugou for a brief moment before backing down and stepping away because Bakugou's glaring at him so hard that even someone innocent would feel guilty for no reason whatsoever.
Y/N slid her gaze over to him and Bakugou's still glaring at the direction in which the man's just walked away, so she huffed in frustration and crossed her arms across her chest as she stared him down.
"What the fuck was that?" Y/N practically hisses. Who is he to chase off the guy that she'd just been talking with when he was off breaking her heart just an hour before? He's no one, that's who.
"I want to marry you." Bakugou's voice is low as he speaks, eyes narrowing down on Y/N as she stares up at him defiantly. "I mean it...really."
"I want to burn the image of when I first see you in a dress, the way I cry and how I couldn’t stop crying afterward, and how I feel both embarrassed and glad for my crying, embarrassed because I’m a man and crying in public is still hard, and glad because it means something when you cry on your wedding day. And the way I lift our clasped hands after we're announced, and how I feel accomplished in life, something in between 'We did it,' and, 'Holy Shit this is actually happening.' and-" he cut himself off, not because he was done with his rant.
But because he was crying. He was actually full-fledged crying, tears streaming down either sides of his cheeks and his nose was reddening from sniffling too much. She took a step forward, and Bakugou didn't see her move, because he was so preoccupied with wiping at his eyes – as though to get rid of any evidence that he'd been crying.
"Fuck off," She nearly laughed out. “That’s not what you were saying an hour ago.”
“I know that but I didn’t mean it, you know I didn’t.”
“Do I?” She looked up to find he was avoiding her intimidating gaze. “Because whoever that was who pushed me out and tried to imply I was a nuisance is certainly not the man I plan to get along with, let alone marry.”
“No. No, I-I’m just. You know I love you. You know I want to— I want this. You know that you mean the fucking world to me, you always have, you always will. I just— I was mad at myself because— I saw, fucking firsthand, how many people want you, and how you could have anyone, but then— you— you’re with me. The quick-tempered asshole, and—” He stopped, figuring his words are all but making sense to her, chest heaving up and down rapidly like he had just been running kilometers at a time. His eyes are still wide, maybe even a little crazed.
She stayed completely silent.
All she did was stare at him, breathing almost as heavily as he was. But her ears rang with his words and God, she wanted to walk away so badly—but she doesn’t think she's physically capable of doing so from the boy that she was sure she's going to never stop loving because she's whipped for the guy. Feeling's mutual though, since (y/n) had his heart in the palm of her hands and she wasn't even aware of it because all he did was make her feel like he's leagues above her and it's such a shitty feeling.
Bakugou was the first to break the silence. “I’m begging you, (y/n)” Bakugou nearly whispered out, eyes a shade of stained glass. "If you want to walk out right now, not even be near me, I’ll understand. But— fuck. Please don’t leave me for good. Please let me make up for my shortcomings as your boyfriend, and hopefully— hopefully — as your husband and...the dad of our future children."

It’s All in the Past - Zuko x Reader
Part 26
Summary: University is starting in less than two weeks and Y/n is in need of a new place closer to campus. Thankfully, she learns an old friend is looking for a roommate. However, this old friend and her might have a lot more in common than she anticipated, which brings up quite a few complications...
Warnings: swearing, violence, mentions of rape
Word Count: 4k ish?
A/N: hey lovelies!! Another part of IAITP is finally here! I’m so sorry for the wait but I had a bit of writers block and this part was a doozy. I know this is technically a smau but this chapter is written out because I didn’t feel the smau format would do it justice. Anywho, I hope y’all enjoy and lmk what u think because u kno I’m a simp for your love and support🥺🥺💕💕
Zuko left the apartment at exactly 8:50pm. It was in his best interest not to take his car, and luckily for him it wouldn’t take long to walk to the location anyway. Merchant Street was about a 7 minute walk away and he knew exactly where to find the broken building; it was an old bank, abandoned about 30 years ago, although, he’s not sure why no one’s bought the land since then. He assumed the rendezvous point was the parking lot behind the building since it was secluded: perfect for an ambush.
Zuko knew this wasn’t a perfect plan... he knew that. But, he only had so many options, and right now this was the best one. Whoever had contacted him had information on him and that meant it was his problem to handle alone. He could understand why y/n was upset with him, and he knew she was only trying to help him, but he wouldn’t put her in a situation like this if he didn’t have to. If they were looking to hurt someone then it would only be him, and he was willing to go through with that if it meant keeping her out of it. Zuko knew what kinds of information they could have found, most of them he assumed were linked to his dad and the company; another reason why Azula would be the perfect person to contact if something went awry. He trusted his friends to keep an eye out for him; they were intelligent and resourceful and he knew they could handle themselves in this situation. He just hoped they would keep their promise and follow his instructions in a worst case scenario.
He came across Merchant Street and the building was in view. Here we go, he thought.
He wasn’t aware of the person trailing him.
***
The girls knew she was going after Zuko, but y/n didn’t tell Sokka or Aang. She couldn’t exactly trust them to keep their mouths shut if they knew she was leaving, or not to follow along as well, for that matter. Zuko was stubborn, of course, but she was too, and she wasn’t going to let him steal the title of being the strong, brave one of the group. That was her job! Toph could fight her on that title, sure, but she wouldn’t let Zuko have it, no sir! It was hers and that meant she had to follow him. Not because she cared about him obviously, it was about the glory! Okay, no it was because she cared about him. She’d admitted that to the girls and to him earlier anyway so she couldn’t lie to herself. She was worried for him.
Y/n crept out her window about a minute or two after Zuko had left, just to be sure he wouldn’t notice her. After that it was a trek to Merchant Street and to the broken building a few paces after. The night air was chilly so she was glad she’d grabbed her hoodie before climbing outside. It was October now, and even in the dying light she could see the trees start to change colours. It would have been beautiful under different circumstances. Maybe she’d ask Zuko to see it with her when this was all over.
The scenery reminded her a little of autumn with Zuko when they were kids. They’d spend the day with each other at school and then they’d go home and play games in y/n’s backyard. It was always at y/n’s house because Ursa never allowed them to play near her own. Y/n can understand why now, although she didn’t at the time; it’s probably better that she’d stayed away from Ozai as long as she did.
Zuko was a troublemaker when they were younger. But, there was one day in particular that she remembers where Zuko got himself into pretty deep shit, and he almost brought y/n down with him. The school bully had been messing around with the other kids more than usual that day. Usually, he didn’t bother with Zuko or her since Zuko was known for his fiery spirit and could easily take down anyone who tried to mess with him, and because y/n spent so much time with him no one dared to come for her out of fear of what Zuko might do. But, that day the bully was feeling particularly bold...
***
Zuko reached the back of the building. Across the lot he could make out four figures. As soon as they saw him approach they made their way over to meet him halfway. Once their faces became clearer, Zuko couldn’t believe what he was seeing; or rather who.
“Jet,” Zuko sneered.
“Hey pal. Long time no see.”
“What do you want?” Zuko eyed the other three cautiously. He wasn’t stupid, he knew Jet wouldn’t have brought backup if he wasn’t planning something. Though, Zuko was confident he could take them in a fight if need be.
“Touchy touchy, so eager to get to the point. That’s fine, I figured you would be,” Jet smirked. “Where’re your friends?”
“Not here.”
“Too bad. I was hoping I’d have an audience when I beat the shit out of you,” Zuko stiffened. “Well, not me exactly. My friends here were happy to take up the offer instead.”
“Why’s that? Scared I’ll break your nose a second time?”
At that, Jet growled. He looked like he was about ready to rush in a take a swing at Zuko, but stopped himself.
“Don’t you wanna know what I found?”
“I figured this meet up was more than just a friendly hello, so yeah,” Zuko never let his guard down as they spoke.
“It’s pretty well known that your dad went to prison, I’m not surprised about that. He was a bastard after all, seems to run in the family,” even though he hated his dad, the comment still made Zuko’s blood boil. There were plenty of people in his family who he loved and respected, and he wouldn’t tolerate insults toward them from anybody, let alone this asshole. “But, it looks like there was some pretty illegal shit that went down in the company before he left. The same company you recently took over, am I right?”
“Get to the point, Jet.”
“I don’t think the public would much appreciate it if they knew the kinds of things your company did while your dad was in charge.”
“Like you said, it was when my dad was in charge. Things are different now.”
“It doesn’t make any difference. People don’t care who was in charge when scandals happen, they just care that they happened, and they’ll blame you for it. It’ll ruin you, Zuko.”
“You’re insane.”
Jet laughed, “That’s true.”
“I’ll ask again, then: what do you want?”
“I want my pride back. That night you took y/n away from me hurt, pal. It’s your turn.”
***
Y/n reached the front of the broken building. She was so caught up in her thoughts she didn’t realize she was already there. The place already felt foreboding, and she was hoping whatever she saw behind the building wouldn’t scare her. Not that she was scared; in fact, she was gearing up to tackle anyone who would dare to hurt her man. Yes, her man. Y/n crept around the side of the building, making sure to keep her body pressed against the brick walls. She could hear the commotion before she saw it, and she poked her head around the corner to watch what was happening.
Zuko, in all his glory, was taking on three guys in a fight while a fourth stood back and watched. Most people didn’t know this about Zuko, but he’d been taking different forms of combat classes since he was little, they both had. The difference was that y/n was much more open about it. So, y/n wasn’t surprised to see Zuko handling the three men with ease, though she was still worried. One thing she had learned was that it didn’t matter how well trained you were... one slip up could be fatal. In this case, she was more angry with him than anything else. She knew it would be dangerous and she had told him that, but he didn’t listen. She just wished she had gotten here earlier so she could understand what their motive was. That’s when she began to analyze who exactly these people were to Zuko, but she immediately regretted that decision when she really looked at the face of the fourth person.
Her heart stopped and her blood ran cold when she recognized him. It was Jet. That slimy bastard was the one behind this whole thing. Of course he was! Zuko must have humiliated Jet more than he let on that night, and while that put a bit of a smile on her face, she wasn’t any more relieved about the situation. Then, her heart stopped a second time, but for a different reason.
Zuko had made a mistake.
A small stone had caught underneath Zuko’s shoe in the darkening space making him stumble just slightly, but it was enough for the other three men to take the advantage. Jet laughed loudly as his ‘friends’ began to pummel Zuko. There was a sickening gleam in his eyes and y/n almost panicked remembering it as the same look he gave her the night of his party. Zuko fell harshly to the ground as the largest of the three men struck him on the side of the head.
No, she thought, fuck fuck fuck.
“Hey!” Y/n yelled running out of her place behind the wall of the building and into the open parking lot. “Stop it!” The men stopped their assault momentarily.
“I thought you’d said none of your friends were coming, Zuko,” Jet sneered. “I’m not mad about this particular friend showing up, though. Makes things more exciting, if you know what I mean.”
Zuko didn’t move much from his position on the ground, but he flicked his eyes up to y/n’s own when he’d heard her voice. At first, there was anger in his expression, and honestly y/n wasn’t surprised to see that, but slowly it turned to worry and regret.
“Y/n what are you doing?!” Zuko’s voice gave a hint of something almost desperate, like he wanted her to leave, but she wouldn’t give him that satisfaction. Even now, she was looking for ways to frustrate the shit out of him; this seemed like the perfect opportunity!
“Well, listen, I know you said not to come with, but honestly it was a little boring without you at home so... here I am!” She gave him a half smirk, Zuko just glared back. “Besides, if I’d known it was Jet who called you here I definitely wouldn’t have let you go by yourself.”
“Trust me, if I’d known it was Jet I wouldn’t have come myself at all.”
“Awe sugar,” Jet interrupted then, directing his words toward y/n, “I love that you’re still thinking about me. Although, I’m a little hurt you chose Zuko here over me, especially considering his history.”
“I told you! I wasn’t even in charge at the ti- argh!” Zuko’s sentence was cut off by a boot to his chest. He began coughing harshly. Y/n looked menacingly at the man responsible, striding forward a few steps.
“I told you to stop,” she growled.
“Or what? What are you gonna do, huh?” the man spoke to her with a chuckle. He was quite large, broad in the shoulders, and his voice was deep. Y/n wasn’t very intimidated, if she was being honest. She was more focused on Jet than the other three; he was unpredictable.
“I don’t think you wanna find out what I’m gonna do, so I’ll tell you one last time to lay off!”
The man drew his head back in a loud laugh, his friends snickering behind him.
“Jet, do you believe this bitch?” facing Jet, who didn’t speak, but stared blankly at y/n. The man then turned back to face her himself. “Your boyfriend didn’t stand a chance against us, what makes you think you could do anything?”
Y/n didn’t say anything further to the man. She stared him down, but with a relaxed form. This somehow made him incredibly angry. With one last shove to Zuko’s side, he stalked over to y/n with his chest puffed out. Still, y/n didn’t flinch or move from her position. When he was within arms distance he reached out to grab her, only for y/n to move out of the way just slightly, taking his outstretched arm and tossing him over her shoulder. Although he was much larger than she was, it wasn’t hard to shift herself into a position where he would be at her mercy. As his body flung forward and crashed onto the ground, he stared up at her in shock. He only registered his pain when she took his arm and yanked it to the side. At this point, the other two men had taken their focus off of Zuko to help their struggling comrade. Y/n took care of them just as easily.
Although Zuko had seen y/n fight before, he didn’t realize how much she’d improved since then. It was like watching a dance; a beautifully coordinated and mesmerizing dance. Her movements flowing and graceful, despite the fact that she was taking on three men twice her size. But, Zuko still felt the need to protect her with everything he had, even if she could take these men with her eyes closed. So, he tried to stand. The first thing he noticed was the pain in his chest like a sharp knife was gnawing at his insides; he must have broken a rib or two. Not the first time it’s happened, so Zuko shook off his discomfort and deemed it unimportant for the time being. His priority was y/n.
The second thing he noticed was the pounding in his head once he got himself upright. This made it difficult for him to focus properly, which is why when a figure came up from behind him he wasn’t quick enough to react. Jet pushed Zuko back down to the ground, Zuko landing flat on his stomach, his face pressed into the cement. Jet’s foot landed squarely on Zuko’s back, eliciting a painful groan from the pressure put on his ribs. His foot stayed there, pinning Zuko to the ground and ever so slightly increasing the pressure to his chest. At some point the pressure became too much and Zuko cried out unintentionally.
Y/n whipped her head around at the sound of Zuko’s cry. The fight was basically over and it didn’t seem like these men had much else to offer her, so she knew she could take her eyes off of them for now to focus on the real problem: Jet. As it so happened, he was the cause of Zuko’s shout, his foot pressed into the center of his back keeping him pinned to the rock-hard ground.
“Jet, get off him. Now.”
“Or what, sugar-tits? You gonna punish me?”
Zuko squirmed underneath Jet’s hold, fury emitting from him at the way Jet was speaking to y/n. He would not hesitate to beat the man again if he got the chance. Y/n just rolled her eyes, she knew what Jet was trying to do.
“You sure you wanna try that? Did you even see what I just did to your friends?”
As if in response, the three men groaned from the ground behind her.
“You know,” Jet spoke, “you’re a lot more capable of handling yourself than I thought you’d be. Guess it was a good thing I’d made sure you had a little extra to drink that night. Or maybe not. Could’a been more exciting if I didn’t.”
“Shut up!” Y/n screamed, her fists clenched at her sides. She didn’t want to react, she knew Jet was trying to rile her up so she couldn’t think as clearly. But, he’d hit a nerve bringing up the night he’d almost raped her. It was a topic she was trying to avoid at this moment.
“Awe. Sorry, we’re a little touchy on that subject, huh?”
“I said SHUT UP!”
Y/n went to move toward Jet, ready for a fight, but he had other plans. His foot pressed harder into Zuko’s back, making him cry out a second time, his fingernails scraping into the ground from the pain. Y/n stopped abruptly, her eyes widening at Zuko’s slight whimper.
“Okay, okay, stop. Please. Just-“ she hesitated for a second. “What do you want?”
Jet smiled. “It’s funny since I didn’t really expect you to show up. But since you’re here now, I guess it means something. This prick isn’t worth your time, y/n. He’s weak and he doesn’t deserve you. Why don’t you come back to me? I can take care of you, we can start over. And, I’d never hurt you, not like he has.”
Y/n stopped short at his last comment. How did he know about their past? How did he know Zuko had hurt her before? Jet must have noticed her expression because he continued...
“I know a lot about Zuko here, especially about the things he’s done to people he supposedly ‘loves’. There’s a lot he hasn’t told you. His sister isn’t the only one capable of doing a little research.” At that, he glared down at Zuko, increasing the pressure to his back ever so slightly.
Zuko gasped. So, he knew. He knew about everything; about how he’d asked Azula to look into his history, about his shared past with y/n... everything.
“I’m sorry about what I did to you earlier. But, I’m willing to make it up to you if you come back to me,” Jet spoke calmly to y/n. It was almost too much. Y/n looked down at her feet, unsure of how to go on. Zuko was only watching her with pleading eyes, hoping to god she wouldn’t believe what Jet was telling her.
After a brief moment, y/n looked up determined. She’d made up her mind. She walked calmly toward the two, stopping only inches away and looked straight into Jet’s eyes. Then, she offered her hand to him.
“You’re right Jet. I’ll give you another chance.”
Zuko’s heart sunk. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing. Just like that she’d left him to suffer at her feet. He was heartbroken, yes, but he supposed he deserved it. It wasn’t like he expected this to last - nothing ever did. He had hurt her too much to ever deserve her love, and y/n knew that. She could never be with him after everything he had done to her. She deserved better. She deserved someone who wasn’t weak like him, someone who could protect her. Zuko was a failure, and he should have known y/n could never love someone like him. His own father didn’t.
Jet smiled broadly, taking his foot off of Zuko’s back and grasping y/n outstretched hand. He walked a couple steps toward her, wrapping his arms around her waist, one hand travelling towards her ass.
“I knew you’d make the right choice, baby. You’re mine.”
Y/n looked him in the eyes, a small smile gracing her lips. Just as Jet was about to lean down for a kiss, y/n took that moment to strike, ramming her knee into Jet’s groin. He doubled over, wheezing, giving y/n the chance to strike his head, making him drop to the ground, his nose spurting blood down to his chin. Zuko was shocked, but immensely relieved. He felt like he could breathe again as y/n rushed over to his side.
“Are you alright? Where does it hurt?” She began asking him once she’d knelt by his side. Zuko just lay there captivated by her.
“You didn’t go with him,” he said finally.
“What? No, of course not! Zuko, I would never choose him over you... did you think I would?” She asked sadly.
“Well... yeah. I mean, kinda? I don’t know, I-“
“Zuko,” she interrupted him, “Look at me. I will always choose you. You’re important to me.”
Zuko watched her as she helped him to get on his feet, a small smile creeping onto his face. He was important to her.
The moment was interrupted by a glint in the corner of his eye just behind y/n. Without thinking, Zuko rushed to pull her behind him, shielding her from the impact of the knife which had just imbedded itself into his shoulder. Zuko yelled in pain, gripping onto y/n’s shirt while blood flowed freely down his back. Y/n was screaming. Jet backed away slowly, after having recovered from y/n’s attack and retaliating with the pocketknife he kept hidden in his shoe. He hadn’t meant for it to hit Zuko, and frankly he was surprised when it did, not fully registering the weight of his actions. He immediately turned and ran in the opposite direction leaving his comrades, as well as y/n and Zuko, on their own.
“Zuko,” y/n cried, “hey, look at me. Zuko, please-“
“Y/n, I’m fine,” Zuko forced out. “Just give me a second.”
“You’re not fine! You-“
“There they are! Guys over here!” A voice shouted suddenly. It was Sokka.
Behind Sokka was the whole group: Aang, Katara, Suki, and Toph. They all rushed to the couple, at which point Zuko began leaning heavily on y/n for support. Y/n immediately lowered the both of them to the ground, looking to her friends in desperation and placing her palm firmly over the wound. Zuko hissed. She maneuvered him into a position where his uninjured shoulder was leaning against her while they both sat on the pavement.
“What happened?” Katara questioned once they were close enough to see the damage.
Y/n looked to Zuko’s injury with regret, “Jet happened.”
“What?!” Toph yelled from behind the group.
“Guys?” Zuko spoke roughly, “What the hell? I thought I told you all not to come!”
“Zuko, I swear to god, now is not the time for this,” y/n looked to him deeply unimpressed. He glared back at her.
“So,” Suki jumped in, “is someone gonna call an ambulance or...? You know, for Zuko’s shoulder?”
“Wait, what’s wrong with his shoulder?” Toph asked, confused.
“It’s got a fucking hole in it,” Sokka put it frankly.
“What the fuck, Zuko?!”
“It’s not that bad! Seriously, it’s just my shoulder, I’ll live,” he glared at them, not wanting to make a big deal of the situation.
“You need stitches,” Katara glared back. “It won’t heal properly if you leave it.”
“Katara’s in nursing, you gotta trust her, Zuko,” Aang spoke for the first time since getting there.
Zuko looked to the ground, as if it would give him an answer to his problems. He never liked the hospital. It brought back too many memories from when he was younger. Then again, his friends were right. He needed proper care, and they weren’t even aware of the possible fractures to his rib cage.
“Fine,” Zuko relented. “But, you’re not calling an ambulance. We can just drive there.”
“Zuko-“
“Y/n, I’m serious. I just need something to bandage it and I’ll be fine until we get there.”
She said nothing, but nodded reluctantly. She looked to the rest of the group and they all seemed to be in agreement: they would drive. Y/n moved to stand, careful not to move Zuko’s shoulder the wrong way, and helped him to his feet as well. Once standing, Zuko seemed to sway a bit so y/n put her arm around his waist to steady him. She looked to him concerned, his eyes seemed unfocused and all his concentration went to making sure he didn’t fall over. Obviously, he was in a worse state than he was letting on, but he’d never tell them that. Instead, he leaned slightly onto y/n as they took a few steps forward. About a five steps in, however, his knees buckled and y/n had to jump in to catch him before he hit the ground.
“Zuko!” Y/n screeched. Sokka jumped in to help as y/n held Zuko in her arms. His eyes were shut tight, fists trembling. “Damnit, I knew it!”
“I’m fin-“
“Don’t.”
Y/n was at the end of her rope. She turned determinedly to the rest of the group, but before she could get a word out she realized she didn’t have to say much for them to get the message. Sokka and Suki were already running to grab Sokka’s car that was parked just down the road while Katara, Aang, and Toph helped in making a makeshift bandage for Zuko’s shoulder. Y/n turned back to him. His eyes were drifting and he felt limp in her hold. So much for being fine, she thought. In reality she was freaking out. She didn’t know what else to do, she wasn’t a doctor!
“Zuko...” she spoke softly but stern, cradling his cheek in her palm. He drifted his focus to her eyes, searching them, but it seemed like he was struggling. “You gotta keep your eyes open for me, ‘kay?”
“Y/n,” his words were almost like a whisper, “sorry...”
“Hey, no, don’t do that. This isn’t your fault.”
He stared into her eyes, contemplating on something. Then he spoke.
“You’re important to me too...”
“I’m- what do you mean?”
“Earlier you said I was important to you... you’re important to me too.”
He lightly grasped the hand cupping his face in his own, squeezing gently in hopes of conveying what he meant. Y/n got the message loud and clear.
“Zuko-“
“Y/n I need you to lift him up a bit for me while I wrap his shoulder,” Katara chimed in, unintentionally breaking their moment. Y/n did as she was told, lifting Zuko as much as she could while Katara fit the makeshift bandage around his shoulder and torso. Zuko groaned lightly in pain, his features twisted to try and hide how much it really hurt. Y/n did everything she could to help, even if it wasn’t much. Soon, Sokka pulled the car up next to them, Suki in the passenger seat.
“We won’t be able to fit everyone, so you guys are gonna have to decide who’s going first and I’ll pick the others up later,” Sokka stated.
“Y/n,” Aang turned to her, “you should be the one to go with him. I can stay behind.”
“I’ll stay too,” Toph said. “Katara should be in the car with you guys since she’s got the most experience medical-wise.”
Everyone nodded, Aang helping to lift Zuko into the back seat while y/n climbed in after, holding his body as close to hers as she possibly could. Katara got in on the other side of the car and they were off. Y/n never let go of Zuko the whole car ride, thinking of what he’d said to her just before. Of course he was important to her, she loved him and she would do anything for him.
Wait.
She loved him.
Oh god.
They pulled up to the emergency room, rushing to get Zuko help, and the whole way, from the car, to finding help, and finally to the whole gang sitting in the guest area waiting for some sort of update on Zuko’s condition, all she could think about was that... she loved him.

The Marriage Project (4)
Hi everyone! Sorry this came late! I was soooo busy this week that I had to push this chapter back but I’m hoping to drop chapter 5 on Friday next week like normal. As listed in the warnings, this chapter has some heavier topics than the other 3 but the scene is relatively mild and not too descriptive.
Story Masterlist
Word Count: 2808
Warnings: Mentions of verbal s*exual harassment, mentions of fighting/injury, strong language, angst
% approximately the last weekend in September %
You sat at the back of the team bus on the way to the hotel, since the tournament was all day Saturday. You shared a row with Julia and was working on some calculus homework and listening to music while she talked to someone across the aisle.
When you finished, you took out your headphones and looked over at her. She was now playing on her phone.
“Hey, do you wanna bunk together tonight? I don’t feel like sharing a bed with Emily this week.” you whispered, making sure the freshman sitting a few rows up couldn’t hear you.
“Yeah sure. I was actually gonna ask you the same anyways.”
You were one of only two seniors on the team, so you and the other senior, Anna, were asked to split up and chaperone the girls whose parents weren’t coming to the tournament. Both of your rooms had three other people.
Once the team got checked into the hotel, you all went to dinner at a nearby chain restaurant where you, Julia, Anna, and a few other girls sat at a table together joking around.
After dinner, the team headed back to the hotel and were allowed to either hang in the lobby or your rooms, so long as you weren’t disruptive and stayed in pairs. You stayed in the lobby for a while but decided to go prepare for bed around 10.
Julia tagged along as your buddy, not saying much as you rode the elevator up.
After changing and brushing your teeth, you sat at one corner of the bed looking into a wall-mounted mirror as you combed your hair to pull it into a braid. Julia had been watching the TV when she piped up.
“Hey, y/n?”
“Yeah?” you didn’t look back at her.
“What’s going on between you and Tom?”
You paused mid-braid, then continued.
“What do you mean?” your brows furrowed as you finished off the braid, wrapping the end with a hair tie.
“It’s just… you guys have seemed super close lately, and Sam said you’re at their house pretty much every weekend now. I thought you guys hated each other or something.”
You turned your body to look at her.
“Uhhhh we definitely still hate each other. We’re just partnered up for this semester-long marriage project in home ec. It’s whatever.”
“Oh. Okay then. It just seemed like something else I guess.”
Something else?
“Wait, what are you trying to say? Do you think we’re, like, dating or something?”
“Well you guys go to almost every one of each other’s games. And Sam said their mom loves you so it just seemed like… I don’t know.”
“Whoever thinks we more than hate each other is wrong. Just the idea of him and I together grosses me out so much. Once this semester is over, he and I probably won’t speak to each other again until the day I’m chosen valedictorian over him.”
“Okay, well, I’ll let Sam kn-”
She was cut off by the sound of the door opening as the two freshman girls who were taking the other bed came in giggling.
Glad to finally be out of that conversation.
After a few more random conversations, you all decided to go to bed and rest up for the tournament early the next morning.
It’s when you rolled over onto your side to face the wall that thoughts of your conversation with Julia began racing. Did people really think something other than a fake marriage was going on with Tom?
Exhaustion got the best of you before you could dwell on it further.
%
You sat in calculus Monday morning listening to the announcements. Your name and a couple others were listed off from the winning sports. The team had won, and you’d gotten tournament MVP.
The class congratulated you, so you jokingly did a royal wave around the room, stopping to look at Tom.
“That’s how it’s done. You guys may have won too, but I think I beat you out this time.”
“Yeah, good job.”
What. Why was he congratulating you?
“Uhhh. You don’t have anything else to say? No insult, no witty clapback? Who are you and what have you done to the Tom Holland I know and hate?”
He shrugged.
“I just don’t have anything negative to say. I mean, you got MVP and the team won. That’s pretty impressive.”
Now you knew something was up. In all your years of knowing Tom, he’d never been this nice. Sure, he’d sometimes say “nice shot!” when you scored more than one goal in soccer but he usually was able to find a way to pick on you at the same time.
You were working on a new sewing project in home ec later, sharing what happened with Alexis.
“Maybe he’s just not feeling well or something? He probably just couldn’t think up something fast enough,” she suggested.
“You don’t get it, Lex. It was so not like him. After Thursday, and what Julia said Friday night, something weird is going on, and I’m going to get to the bottom of it.”
Wondering if anything was out of the ordinary with him now, you looked over to where he was, only to find him looking back at you.
Weird.
In senior art that afternoon, you worked on an acrylic beach landscape you’d been doing with a palette knife.
You were listening to music and intently focused when you felt a presence loom over you and noticed a hand resting on either side of you.
You ripped out an earbud and turned to see Tom leaning over your seated position, looking at your artwork.
“What the- Tom! What in the hell are you doing?” you pushed him off you and he stepped next to your chair, arms folded over his chest.
“Just looking to see how you were doing, princess. I think it needs a sailboat.”
“Okay first of all I’m not even done but like… why were you leaning over me like that? I was kinda in my zone there.”
He uncrossed his arms and pointed one had around the canvas.
“Well I was mostly coming over to say you had a little something right,” he poked a finger from his other hand onto your nose, leaving a dot of paint, “there.”
“Thomas Holland. If you don’t get the hell away from me and my artwork right this second I will literally beat you up in front of this entire class. You know it’s true too.” you threatened through grinding teeth.
“Are we having a problem over here?” your art teacher interjected, causing you to both look at her. You pointed at your nose.
“Mr. Holland here doesn’t know how to keep his hands to himself.”
“Tom. You know how I feel about messing around with art supplies. Now go sit down, you still have a lot to go on your own painting.”
He sighed and headed back to his seat.
“Y/n, why don’t you go wash that off real quick. I’ll keep an eye on your canvas for you.”
You got up, brushing past Tom. First, he’d been super nice this morning, and now he was putting paint on your nose like a little kid?
It was infuriating to think about.
Wednesday, it was like he was even worse.
He flipped between being the nicest guy ever to trying to humiliate you every chance he got.
The final straw was during your free period when you’d typically have volleyball practice (it was a game day). You’d walked by some of the football team who were practicing on the field and some players tried to catcall you, yelling disgusting sexist comments and whistling. Instead of sticking up for you, Tom just looked at you sheepishly as they laughed.
You just stuck up a middle finger and kept walking, as you were running errands for your volleyball coach and didn’t want to be too long.
After school, you stormed out of the school building and caught sight of him leaning against his car talking to a few of the guys from before as his brothers stood around nearby.
When you were about 20 feet away when you yelled out at him.
“Hey Tom! What the hell?”
His conversation paused and he turned to you. The other guys laughed and waved him bye as you approached.
“I’m sorry, but what?” he asked when you reached his car. You tossed your volleyball bag onto the asphalt.
“What is wrong with you? First you’re super nice to me, then I catch you staring at me in class and then the whole paint thing, and that was just Monday. Then today you flip from nice to asshole, and just sit idly by when your friends fucking harass me!?”
“I was just messing around like we always do! And come on, it was just a whistle and a couple jokes, y/n.”
“That’s the thing! It’s not just a whistle or a joke! Call it that when you read the countless stories of women who are attacked for simply ignoring a guy or trying to stand up for herself! I SHOULDN’T HAVE TO BEG YOU AND EVERY OTHER MAN FOR SOME SIMPLE RESPECT!” you were yelling and breathing hard. “I guess I thought that after the past few weeks we had come to some kind of an understanding, but apparently I was wrong. You’re still the biggest asshole I know.”
“Y/n, please. You know I would never do anything to actually harm you, right? I’ll talk to the guys and figure it out. I mean, what else do you want me to do?”
“Maybe we should get a ‘divorce’ on this stupid project. It’s obviously not working out,” you spat.
“I- okay.”
You were taken aback. Did he really just agree?
“Okay? That’s all you have to say? You really want to go through with it?”
“Well, if it’s what you feel is best, I’m not going to stop you from talking to Mrs. Flynn.”
“Okay, then. I’ll see what she wants us to do.” you said, much more calmly.
With that, you picked up your bag and walked off, wanting to cool down before your game.
“Damn, Tom. That’s rough,” Harry said once you were out of earshot.
“Yeah, dude. You should’ve stood up for her. That’s not cool,” Sam added.
Tom hung his head for a minute, not sure what to think, then straightened up, shaking it angrily.
“You’re right. She’s right. I need to find those guys.”
%
Things had cooled down for you by the time you’d eaten a snack and hung out with some of the team for a little bit. You didn’t tell anyone what had happened, but by the way Julia kept looking at you, you figured Sam had told her.
An hour before game time, you went to go put on your kneepads and volleyball shoes. As you passed through the gym, Julia hopped up from her seat next to her boyfriend and rushed up to you.
“Whatever Sam said, I’m over it now. I’m just going to channel it into the game” you told her before she could get a word out.
“I just wanted to make sure you’re okay. Sam said you seemed pretty shaken up.”
“Look, jules, I know you’re trying to help, but now isn’t the time. I just need to focus on one thing at a time, okay? Let’s just win this and then maybe later we can talk.”
You sped up past her to where the group was in a circle, already doing stretches. You felt bad for blowing her off, but you had other things to worry about.
%
Your team lost the first set for the first time all season. You just couldn’t get your head in the game. You had fumbled a few sets and sent your hand into the net while hitting not once, but twice. You’d even sent a serve straight back to the wall on the other side of the gym.
You were now sitting on the bench listening to your coach yell at you, taking it all in. You were looking at her directly when a figure coming through the door caught your eye. It was Tom.
You tried to pay attention to coach, but the second she turned her attention to someone else, you glanced at him sitting by his brother.
His lip was split and he caressed one hand in the other. His hair was also all over the place and one cheek swelled slightly.
Did he get into a fight?
Even though you were still mad, something inside you appreciated his presence. You also felt concerned, but obviously couldn’t do anything about it from the bench.
You instead decided to do what you knew best, which was win. The team came back in the end and did just that. A few people were congratulating you when you saw Tom and Sam leave the gym.
“Uh, sorry guys but I need to go do something. See y’all tomorrow though!”
You jogged into the hall, frantically looking both ways before seeing them.
“Wait! Tom!” you called, running to catch up with them. They stopped, Tom not making eye contact with you when he turned as Sam watched cautiously.
He looked worse up close.
Where his cheek had only seemed swollen before, now there was a blue and purple bruise beginning to form, surrounded by pink inflamed tissue. His bottom lip also was red and puffy around the split, and when you glanced at his hands you noticed the darker bruises on each knuckle.
“Tom…” you said softly, scanning him. “Are you okay?”
“What does it matter to you? We hate each other don’t we?”
Sam took that as his cue to go back to the gym, you assumed to find Julia.
You let out a sigh and looked away.
“I don’t ‘hate you’ hate you. Yeah I hate when you’re better than me at something or you’re acting like a douchebag, but I don’t, like, want you dead or anything. I mean, you know that, right?”
You searched his face for a sign that he was getting you. After a few seconds of him staring at the ground nervously tapping his foot, he replied.
“Well I don’t hate you either! Yeah, you can have an ego and it gets on my nerves, but I’ve always thought we had just a playful hate-love thing. Like… I don’t know... Doofensmirtz and Perry the Platypus.”
You let out a chuckle at that one.
“That… actually. Yeah. That pretty much sums it up. I never actually wanted to hurt you, and I’m sorry that I did but what you did today was so not cool, man. I thought we at least tried to look out for each other a little bit. That stuff hurts. A lot. Because being a woman means I don’t know when it might cost me more than just being the butt of a joke.”
“I realize that now, and I’m so sorry for trying to trivialize you. I didn’t really think about it in the moment because it’s never affected me. I might be in trouble tomorrow because of it, though.”
“What do you mean?”
“After you left, I was so mad at myself. I marched straight over to the guys, who were then trying to laugh about you coming to talk to me, and I just… swung right on Harrison. He’s the first guy that whistled.”
“Tom…”
“And then I may have gone after the other two while I was at it. They tried to fight back, which is why my face looks like this, and I just went nuts. They gave up after realizing I wasn’t gonna back down.”
You tried to hold back tears. You always knew in the back of your mind that Tom cared a little bit, but not like this. One slipped out onto your cheek.
“You didn’t have to do that,” you whispered, trying to keep a steady voice. He reached out and brushed his thumb over your tear.
“Yes I did. Who else was going to teach those dickheads, huh? Obviously no one else in their lives have cared to.”
“Well thank you. It means a lot… and I didn’t go talk to Mrs. Flynn after our little spat outside. I wouldn’t mind staying as your ‘bride,’ if you’ll have me.”
He looked at you skeptically for a few seconds then smiled.
“Yeah, alright,” he pulled his necklace from his shirt. “Who else would rub icy hot on my back and make pie with my mom?”
“Ugh, don’t remind me of the first one,” you laughed.
After a few seconds, you held out your arms.
“We good?”
He grinned, taking your offer for a hug and wrapping his own arms around you.
“Yeah, we’re good.”

A/N: Thanks for reading! Like I’ve mentioned in the past, this will not be the last of heavy topics and some future scenes will actually be more descriptive, but I will make it explicitly clear where those scene are so you can have discretion. Love you all so much!
