My religion is kevin offering to watch neil so he can drink on thanksgiving. In french. And then nicky going "omg neil is making the face kevin can be nice?????!?!??!" Which is hilarious because it implies that Neil really isn't as stone cold as he thinks, and he basically canonically reacts like a deer in headlights whenever someone does ANYTHING remotely nice for him.
matt: oh neil i bought this soda i know you like when i went to the store earlier

I think the thing that makes all the cripplepunk discourse so distressing is that it's not an excuse to be awful to people. I don't want to argue with other disabled people; I don't need to be part of your group.
But cursing people out, wishing violence and death on them, telling people you hope they suffer through everything that you've endured and more? That's not a good thing. It's not cool, it's not reclaiming your power, and it's definitely not punk.
It's not that there's different opinions on the term/community itself, it's watching people defend and SUPPORT blatant cruelty in the name of activism. No amount of trauma gives you the right to hurt other people.
Being entitled to your emotions is not the same as being entitled to harming other people. You can be angry and sad and bitter, but you are still responsible for how you act on those feelings, and more importantly, being accountable for your actions.
And the fact that people can't see that? The fact that just "treat people with respect" is a controversial opinion? That's why it's so difficult to make progress that benefits ANYONE.
Anyway, all of which is to say, thanks for running this blog. Your kindness makes this world a better place for all of us.
We agree. Cruelty has no purpose in the fight to improve disability rights and accommodations.
We’re glad you like the blog. Thank you.

I always see things about jealous possessive AA, and verry verry nice, but what about a jealous possessive consort? He sticks out like a shining star, with so many people drawn to him and vying for his attention his consort must have to put people in their placs sometimes.
Just AA getting a complaint from someone elf at some party about an argument between them and his son.
AA:…I see…
AA, turning to his consort, laying on his lap: darling..did you steal the ear of this man’s son?
Consort: well, if his son could keep his eyes off things that don’t belong to him, he wouldn’t have to loose things that do.
AA, turning back to the elder elf with a smile : there’s your answer.
His smugness is off the charts, words cannot describe how much he loves his consort getting jealous.

In line with that other post I made a month or two ago about feeling weird in book shops and stuff
I always feel like front-end staff in medical facilities don't care for me much ;;;;><>
Do I understand on some level that they are under no requirement to be wildly cheerful, they Are being nice but I have trained my brain to read neutrality as a negative reaction? Yes absolutely.
Does my little monster brain still feel a wash of shame and rejection every time? Oh, of course yeah, there's no other way to feel!

I think it's interesting how some Protestant groups place very little stock in Baptism, which actually does change your life by marking your soul with an indelible character, but some of those same groups will also say things like what that one group said on the pamphlet they gave your family, making that one prayer (that I'm certain was made up by one of their leaders or something) into almost a magic spell that will certainly change your life forever. Like. My brothers and sisters. We already have something that does in fact change your life and your soul forever, why do you refuse it??? (Granted some Protestant groups practice baptism and idk where this group in particular falls but yeah. I thought Paul said there weren't supposed to be divisions. So why did they divide from the One True Church??? For clarity's sake, all these are rhetorical questions, I know the answers, you know the answers, etc. but yeah interesting questions).
Oh my gosh right?? Online it said they are a nondenominational church so who knows what they decide to believe or not. I never saw anything about baptism on there, but I also didn't look through their entire website, so who knows. I have a couple ideas about who the person giving us this stuff is, but I've no idea how to narrow down who or how to confront them about it, if that'd even be worth it. They're really not doing any harm, it's just bothersome that they're opening our mailbox. Although I don't trust any of the people I think it could be to not go through our mail.

how to find literally any post on a blog in seconds (on desktop)
there are so many posts about ~tumblr is so broken, you can’t find any post on your own blog, it’s impossible, bluhrblub~
I am here to tell you otherwise! it is in fact INCREDIBLY easy to find a post on a blog if you’re on desktop/browser and you know what you’re doing:
url.tumblr.com/tagged/croissant will bring up EVERY post on the blog tagged with the specific and exact phrase #croissant. every single post, every single time. in chronological order starting with the most recent post. note: it will not find #croissants or that time you made the typo #croidnssants. for a tag with multiple words, it’s just /tagged/my-croissant and it will show you everything with the exact phrase #my croissant
url.tumblr.com/tagged/croissant/chrono will bring up EVERY post on the blog tagged with the exact phrase #croissant, but it will show them in reverse order with the oldest first
url.tumblr.com/search/croissant isn’t as perfect at finding everything, but it’s generally loads better than the search on mobile. it will find a good array of posts that have the word croissant in them somewhere. could be in the body of the post (op captioned it “look at my croissant”) or in the tags (#man I want a croissant). it won’t necessarily find EVERYTHING like /tagged/ does, but I find it’s still more reliable than search on mobile. you can sometimes even find posts by a specific user by searching their url. also, unlike whatever random assortment tumblr mobile pulls up, it will still show them in a more logically chronological order
url.tumblr.com/day/2020/11/05 will show you every post on the blog from november 5th, 2020, in case you’re taking a break from croissants to look for destiel election memes
url.tumblr.com/archive/ is search paradise. easily go to a particular month and see all posts as thumbnails! search by post type! search by tags but as thumbnails now
url.tumblr.com/archive/filter-by/audio will show you every audio post on your blog (you can also filter by other post types). sometimes a little imperfect if you’re looking for a video when the op embedded the video in a text post instead of posting as a video post, etc
url.tumblr.com/archive/tagged/croissant will show you EVERY post on the blog tagged with the specific and exact phrase #croissant, but it will show you them in the archive thumbnail view divided by months. very useful if you’re looking for a specific picture of a croissant that was reblogged 6 months ago and want to be able to scan for it quickly
url.tumblr.com/archive/filter-by/audio/tagged/croissant will show you every audio post tagged with the specific phrase #croissant (you can also filter by photo or text instead, because I don’t know why you have audio posts tagged croissant)
the tag system on desktop tumblr is GENUINELY amazing for searching within a specific blog!
caveat: this assumes a person HAS a desktop theme (or “custom theme”) enabled. a “custom theme” is url.tumblr.com, as opposed to tumblr.com/url. I’ve heard you have to opt-into the former now, when it used to be the default, so not everyone HAS a custom theme where you can use all those neat url tricks.
if the person doesn’t have a “custom theme” enabled, you’re beholden to the search bar. still, I’ve found the search bar on tumblr.com/url is WAY more reliable than search on mobile. for starters, it tends to bring posts up in a sensible order, instead of dredging up random posts from 2013 before anything else
if you’re on mobile, I’m sorry. godspeed and good luck finding anything. (my one tip is that if you’re able to click ON a tag rather than go through the search bar, you’ll have better luck. if your mutual has recently reblogged a post tagged #croissant, you can click #croissant and it’ll bring up everything tagged #croissant just like /tagged/croissant. but if there’s no readily available tag to click on, you have to rely on the mobile search bar and its weird bizarre whims)
