⚠ Warning ⚠ Long Post.

WESPER

• Since their anniversary as an official couple is coming up soon, Wylan decides to propose.

• But he realizes planning isn't exactly his best forte and seeks help from none other than Ketterdam's best schemer Dirtyhands himself.

• Kaz is flattered but even he is weak when it comes to the matter of hearts. He still agrees though, provided Wylan invests a bit in his newly brought club around the Lid. Wylan agrees.

• So Kaz simply asks Wylan to bring Jesper with him to the Fifth Harbour on the day of the event. Wylan is suspicious but he agrees in the end.

• Wylan manages to keep Jesper busy by portraying as a model for Marya's next painting, just so he can go out and pick a ring.

• When the day arrives, Wylan asks Jesper to meet him at the Fifth Harbour by 6 bells.

• Jesper being bad at dates doesn't remember if its because of some special occasion. So he decides to keep it safe and buys a bottle of expensive alcohol.

• When Wylan and Jesper arrive on time, they're both too shocked to speak, their mouths wide open.

• Kaz being Kaz has got the whole harbour decorated in traditional Kerch and Zemeni colors for the duo. There's fairy lights hanging all over, varying cuisines that Jesper has never seen in his life before and a band hired to play throughout the night.

• As they walk in, they spot Nina speaking with Colm Fahey who got invited earlier on by Kaz and Inej gave the man a lift on her Wraith as she herself didn't want to miss two of her favorite people's proposal.

• Jesper is slightly worried because of his father's presence, even more worried because he believes today's supposed to be some big event that only he can't seem to remember.

• Matthias is standing with a Priest and he comes over to congratulate Wylan & Jesper.

• The pair is very confused and so Matthias quirks his brows and tells them: "Brekker said you're getting married."

• The bottle of alcohol in Jesper's hand drops and Wylan is stuttering, unable to form coherent words. He finally yells: "This isn't what I asked Kaz!"

• Kaz finally shows up, Inej at his side. Everyone's staring at him and he shrugs. "What? Too much."

• After a few minutes of yelling and chaos between their squad, the situation is finally calmed down.

• Wylan rummages out the ring from his pocket— a golden band with their initials 'W+J' engraved in it along with intricate patterns. He looks at Jesper. "So amongst all this extravaganza, if I tell you that I want you to adore my stupid face for the rest of our lives, will you?"

• Jesper is wide eyed and has that kinda dubious expression because Wylan has managed to surprise him yet again. So he just tries to collect himself and goes, "Ofc! I already told you I like your stupid face."

• They hug and kiss and everyone cheers. Nina proposes an after-party with waffles.

• Kaz suggests they could still get married cause we know he's secretly the biggest Wesper shipper xD

Thankfully Inej drags him away.

• The actual wedding takes place a month later and yes, Kaz is the wedding planner. Kuwei is that uninvited guest..:)

HELNIK

• Nina keeps joking about wanting Matthias to propose. But she doesn't realise all her meaningless teasing has actually spurred him into action.

• He's secretly making plans and has only told Inej and Wylan about this because he knows Jesper will end up babbling. And Kaz is the last person he wants to take help from.

• He needs a place and proper timing. Inej takes up that task on herself and somehow convinces Kaz to let them use The Crow Club for just one evening.

• Wylan helps Matthias in purchasing a custom ring with a heart-shaped ruby. With his newly acquired mercher title, Wylan’s got connections with the best jewelers in Ketterdam. Marya also tags along cause she believes they'll need a woman's opinion on this.

• So on the day of the event, when Nina is coaxed into wearing the best replica of a Ravkan Kefta and brought into the Crow Club by Inej, she's excited but also wondering whats up.

• Wylan is playing some romantic melody on his flute.

• The whole club is lit by candles and as the members of Dregs part slowly, at the end is Matthias in replica of traditional Fjerdan garbs (another courtesy of Kaz).

• Nina's eyes keep growing wider and she's at a loss of words when Matthias bends on one knee. "Nina Zenik, will you be the beguiling Drusje to this mighty Fjerdan till the end of time?"

• There's tears in her eyes and she looks around everyone. Wylan is smiling, Inej gives a nod, Jesper gives a thumbs up and winks, even Kaz's eyes flash somewhat in approval.

• She looks back to the brave blond soldier she fell for. He must've planned for them to be unified in their own lands' traditional clothes. She smiles, already tearing up. "Saints Matthias, I'm supposed to be the one full of surprises." She messily wipes her eyes and mumbles, "I..will."

• The whole Dregs break into a roar of cheers as Matthias glides the ring on her finger. Marya is clapping her hands in joy.

• Rotty yells from somewhere in the crowd, "KISS HER YOU PODGE!!!" And Matthias tilts his face down. The newly engaged couple share a passionate kiss.

• Their wedding takes place in a Ravkan forest. King Nikolai himself decides to give his blessings (in disguise ofc). Zoya and Genya are there too.

KANEJ

• It will be super vague. Like Kaz and Inej's relationship is built more on silent gazes and fleeting touches. So they've got this unspoken thing going on. They both know they're each-other's but never actually address it.

• Inej has returned from another of her sea adventures and taking a short break in Ketterdam. She's casually sitting by Kaz's window, feeding the crows while he works on his papers.

• He glances at her, mesmerized by the sight of her glowing skin in the evening sun. Her long hair (free for once) sways due to the wind as she peacefully smiles and looks out at the city.

• He just speaks out of nowhere, "Inej?"

She turns her head and looks at him, the smile never leaving her face. "Yes Kaz?"

"Do you want to tie the knot?" he asks.

The smile immediately leaves her face and she frowns, unsure about his words. "I'm afraid I don't understand."

• He puts his pen down, passes a hand through his hair and huffs out a breath.

"I'm saying my dear Wraith," he starts, methodically taking off his gloves and then joins her at the window. He offers his palm and she gladly places her own in it, her eyes somewhat expectant. Kaz quirks his lips slightly and continues, "would you like us to exchange vows and make it official?" He squeezes her palm and gestures between them.

• She's stunned for a moment because between the two of them, its always her initiating any sort of new action— a hug, a kiss,..making love. And it has taken them a good amount of years to reach this level of intimacy without triggering the other’s traumas so its even more shocking that Kaz asks her first. A small part of her had even wanted to propose him some time in the future but now he's clearly beaten her to that.

• "Inej?" Kaz rubs the back of her hand, "if you don't want to—"

"NO! I do!" she says hurriedly before he can take it back and he breaks into that crooked grin of his, fishing out a simple silver band with a single black feather atop it, its end pointy like a knife.

He smoothly slides it onto her finger and they exchange a gleeful smile.

• After a few minutes he goes, "So like..do you want to do this my way or yours?"

And she's confused so he explains. "If its your way, we can have a traditional Suli wedding, whatever your people do and take your parents' blessings."

He adds a dramatic pause later, "If its my way, I'll just ask Specht to put our names on a marriage document and be done with it."

She rolls her eyes.

• In the end, Inej tells the other Crows. Jesper wiggles his brows, teases Kaz but also gives him a big hug. Wylan is surprised but also happy. Matthias is slightly displeased at the holy bronze girl for letting herself be charmed by this notorious demjin. But he does believe that the two belong with no one else and congratulates them.

• Nina takes it upon herself to plan the wedding and decides it should be a Suli one. She wants to see Inej draped in red. But also wants to see Kaz out of his fitting suits for once and in traditional Suli clothes for men.

• Mr. and Mrs. Ghafa find their son-in-law quite odd but give their blessings happily because there's no one else who'll be more suitable for their lovely daughter.

okay so before i jump into this, as a disclaimer i just finished finals week for a 17 credit semester so my brain is just like. tv static and evermore on loop. so if ur looking for an actually well-written, cohesive bio n stats n other fun stuff u can find that in my app which i did in fact write Prior to finals week ! okay on with the show !

okay so tito is the second child born to luis n angela rosario n the younger sibling of sebastián n tbh i know im biased but i love the rosarios sm 🥺 luis was an aspiring musician n angela worked 3 jobs to support them n they had a rly happy life together for a little while :/

tito first got into music when they were in first grade n their music teacher señora coco stayed after school to teach him how to play the piano n they loved it !! luis was Thrilled bc he swore from the day tito was born tht they were destined to be a musician with him n thus began the dream of the two of them would be a successful father-son duo one day <3

spoiler alert: it did not happen 💔

(death tw) luis was killed in a drive by shooting when tito was 15 😔 n it was rly hard on them 😔 they stopped playing music altogether n definitely went through this moment where they likely pushed away Everyone bc so much of their grief manifested as anger 😔 (end tw)

it didn’t last forever ! but ! the minute that he started to kind of regain his footing, angel was like hey we’re leaving the city !! let’s go !! n tito was like no 💖 bc they wanted to stay in la and salvage what they could of their dad’s dream... so they did

they also went to community college !! which was when he started to rly start to feel like himself again 🥺 but once they graduated they started working at this radio station to get their foot in the door n it backfired bc they’ve been stuck there for 3 years now... so sorry to them

the day that tito found the killer conclusions cd was actually their 3 yr anniversary exactly which was exactly as depressing as u think it is :/ so to cheer himself up they went to the thrift store for a blind date with a cd which was this tradition that his dad created for them when tito was little (ngl it makes me emotional i wrote a longer thing abt it in my app) n basically told tito that if you picked the most nondescript cd you can find then you’re not being biased n youre just letting the music find you

and ofc ! as we all know tito’s fate is to get haunted by our fave ghost band ! and here we are !

so that’s the sparknotes version of his bio sdfkdjs here are the hcs i wrote in my app bc i think they say a lot abt him <3

so tito grew up listening to a lot of his father’s favorite latine artists, n luis’s favorite is .. ofc… ricky martin bc he’s from puerto rico and livin la vida loca is a bop ! but tito’s own personal favorite artist is selena. the first Real Song that they ever learned (as in not hot cross buns or twinkle, twinkle little star) to play on the piano was dreaming of you, which is one of his two favorite selena songs to this day. it’s tied with amor prohibido <3

tito loves to dance n they are absolutely shameless about it. they grew up watching their parents samba in the kitchen n he was immediately like Okay Me Too. are they a particularly great dancer? no ❤️ but that does not deter them n what they lack in technical skill they make up for in enthusiasm

very, very, very much a Disaster Gay with the emphasis on disaster. like he Does Not know how to talk to boys at all n gets very flustered n nervous when he does . especially bc i think this is a pretty recent development for them. as in like .. within the last 5 years n it probably took him a long ass time to work their way through bc like. they were a little busy trying to figure out their relationship with gender

which! speaking of! they always knew that they didn’t 100% connect with being a Boy, like… the same way that he could say that he liked green beans sometimes, or they only wanted pepperoni on their pizza sometimes, he only felt like a boy sometimes. it wasn’t that they felt like a girl the rest of the time, though. they just didn’t have the words to describe what they felt like the rest of the time — not until they took their first gender studies class at community college. finding out that there was a community of people who were like him was a huge weight off of their shoulder n also kind of marked the point where they could start figuring out their sexuality

i think tito has a very Cozy home but like .. they just embody a lot of coziness to me in general. he definitely has a lot of plants, n 100% of their furniture n decor are thrifted but he’s a cancer so we know tht means their home n making sure they’re comfy there is very important

tito is very very Very fiercely protective of his people n you have to definitely prove yourself in order for them to let you anywhere near his people. like when the ghosts first showed up they absolutely had to earn their trust before they would let anyone go near like.. allegro mainly. perhaps nocturne also had to win his trust before tito was like Okay with them being around the ghosts bc ksdjfds he’s a cancer at heart n has an unbearable amount of love to give

king of emojis tbh djfksdj i genuinely don’t think he knows how to send a text without an emoji unless they’re like.. actually rly upset.. but Usually big on emojis. every time that he gets the chance to say “no ❤️'' their soul leaves their body a little bit in excitement

tito’s favorite season is winter and every single year when it rolls around they’re devastated that it’s too warm in california for it to snow 😔 he’s never seen snow in his life but he loves it n is very determined to see it one day

he’s a Can’t Drive gay 😔 but they grew up in the city so what do we rly expect from him? if we’re being honest with ourselves? nothing! instead they skateboard wherever they can n take the subway wherever they can’t <3 n is very jealous that ghosts don’t need subway cards

when they do happen to go on drives However they are the world’s greatest passenger seat dj .. n Yes it is a very elaborate radio show setup complete with regularly pausing for radio host talk show segments, calling in requests, and made-up giveaway games

they play the piano n the guitar n that’s all right now but i think he would Love to learn a new instrument they just never had the resources or the time

speaking of music… it is definitely kind of on hold right now as far as actually performing But i think they definitely try to do little open mic night things when they can… perhaps he tried to push for the bar he works at to have an open mic night? idk <3 but even when playing music in public isn’t an option they’re always writing songs (or trying to) at home, usually in the late hours of the night after an evening shift at the bar

i think tht he definitely still Does speak spanish but like. not as much with other people anymore after their dad passed away. partially bc luis was the primary person who spoke spanish w tito.. angela only spoke english.. so like once he was gone they didn’t really have a reason to speak it.. but Also even when he Does have a chance to i think it feels a little too much like it’s reopening the wound in a way tht tito just tries to Avoid

@broodsys tagged me for “My Seven Comfort Movies" so I’ll give it a shot (fair warning: most of these’ll be on the older end)

Dogma

Couldn’t really tell you why this movie is a comfort? Just something about it struck a sort of chord and it stuck. I was in 8th or 9th grade when it came out, I think. It’s been a while, but essentially two fallen angels are trying to return to heaven, but in doing so will undo all of creation. Natch, it’s up to a motley crew (isn’t it always?) assembled by one Very Done with You Mortals Metatron to stop them. Remains one of the snarkiest and funniest movies I’ve ever seen, and one of my favorite of the late and beloved Alan Rickman’s roles.

Hook

This is probably a comfort simply because I grew up with it. This story imagines a world where Peter decided to leave Never-land and do the unthinkable--grow up. At least, until Hook decides to make off with his kids. For an AU, this adaption stays surprisingly true to its origins (right up to the awkward af romantic tension between an adult!Peter and Tink). It managed to walk the line of 90′s cynicism and childlike optimism. It messes with the concept of what it means to be grown-up, and whether we really need to give anything up to be so, without ever getting overly bogged down by it.

The Mummy

English librarian/archaeologist Evie Carnahan accidentally awakens long-dead (and ofc very, very cursed) high-priest Imhotep, who in turn unleashes a countdown to egyptian zombie doomsday, which Evie must thwart by teaming up with her awkward but brave elder brother Jonathan, local Tall Dark and Handsome by name of Ardeth, and her punchy american sidekick/love-interest of questionable morals Rick O’Connell. Wild CGI adventure and historical inaccuracies abound. Need I say more?

A Goofy Movie

I would be lying if I said this wasn’t pure nostalgia fuel. This follows your typical late 90′s american teenage dog boy Max Goof, eager about summer vacation and sparing no humiliation in his attempts to impress his high school crush. Unfortunately, Dad Goof is putting the damper on his plans by dragging him on a father-son fishing trip for some bonding time. For the level of emotional gravity the story lends to the drama between this father and son duo, traditional toon hi-jinks (and physics) remain the norm. Including Big Foot.

Coco

Miguel dreams of being a musician. Unfortunately, he comes from a family of music-shunning shoemakers who expect him to carry on the family tradition. When he discovers he’s actually the great-great-grandson of a famous musician, he ��borrows’ great-great-granddad’s guitar to compete in a contest. Unfortunately, as this falls on the Day of the Dead, Miguel is magically transported to the afterlife because he took something from the dead. From there the story really picks up, and Frida Kahlo even makes a cameo. This movie came out about four months before my own grandmother passed away, so I suppose I latched onto it when I was trying to cope. This is probably my favorite Pixar presentation, with Brave being a close second.

Big Hero 6 (and no 6 on our list)

I should probably feel bad for having two Disney films on this list, but I don’t. This movie is something special. Orphaned kid genius Hiro Hamada spends his days betting on rigged bot fights. His older brother Tadashi is understandably concerned with little bro’s lack of direction in his life. Tadashi tours his campus with Hiro in an effort to entice him to enroll in the robotics program. Hiro takes the bait and decides to apply. Following his successful presentation, a massive fire breaks out. Despite Hiro’s protests, Tadashi rushes back into the flaming building to rescue the professor. He sadly doesn’t make it out again. The rest of the film revolves around Hiro teaming up with his brother’s classmates to find out who started the fire that killed his brother, only to uncover even more secrets. At the heart of this film and throughout is how Hiro processes his grief, which is done with ample sensitivity and realism imho.

Cats

No, I haven’t seen the 2019 version. This adaption came out circa ‘98. What it was about grown dancers dressed in yak hair and unitards that drew me I couldn’t say. I can say it has been the butt of theater jokes since long before its CGI debut. It is every bit as horny and ridiculous as you’ve been lead to believe.

How I feel about this character: BABY BOY!! MY SON HES SO VALID

All the people I ship romantically with this character: none tbh, hes babby and doesn’t really care about romance. he just likes dirt, cool bikes, and friendship.

My non-romantic OTP for this character: him n susie ofc, like, just try to name a more iconic duo

My unpopular opinion about this character: idk if i have any unpopular opinions about him? i like most of the stuff ive seen so far. if anything, i like the idea of nb lancer. like, he probably doesnt care for this whole “gender” thing or how he’s expected to present himself, he’ll just roll around in the dirt wearing a skirt, a bunch of jingly bracelets, and a tiara or something

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: i really want to see more of him and rouxls??? i just want lancer to have a good father figure who supports him,, but maybe when the story’s continued we’ll get to see them interact! ghhfgh i hope so!

My OTP: like i said, i dont really see him being interested in romance at this point in his life. he probably still believes in cooties.

My OT3: in a nonromantic sense, i just like the dynamic of him, susie, ralsei, and kris altogether. thats 4, not 3, but who cares about numbers right? theyre good pals

Monsta X surprising you: Military Service Edition

Shownu;

ever since he left for his military service of two years, the two of you made a pact and promised each other to wait for each other - and throughout the two years, the two of you were still able to communicate with each other through sending letters to each other from time to time.

time passed by quickly, and shownu has finally been released from his military service, all he could ever think was to surprise you.

Shownu isn’t the type of person to really go big but when he ponders upon the thought on how to surprise you, his mother would probably help him out since he doesn’t want his son to look so glum and hopeless, especially when she wants him to be happy

“Why don’t you just surprise her in her office? Bring her some coffee and flowers. What matters the most to her is just seeing you. That young lady has been missing you, just as much as we missed you, honey.”

heeding his mother’s advice, Hyunwoo doesn’t think twice but to dress up for you the next day and before he heads out to your office, he prepares you some delicious lunch box (which was made by him ft. moma son) and he’d stop by a cafe and flower shop

and once he arrives at your office, he walks towards the secretary and asks if you’re there and when he receives the ‘yes’ signal, he’d ask the secretary a favor, asking her if she could tell you that ‘there’s someone who wants to talk to you. it’s urgent. they’re waiting in the cafeteria.’ and describe what he was wearing an all

to which the secretary delightedly accepted since you know how papi our papa shownu is

and being the naive you, you weren’t that fast on catching up with whatever was happening so you went to the cafeteria on your own will and searched for the man whom the secretary described.

with your eyes scanning the whole cafeteria, you couldn’t help but gasp when you saw Shownu smiling at you lovingly. he would then stand up to welcome you, handing you the bouquet of your favorite flowers.

of course, his surprise would kinda be old-fashioned in a way????

anyways, his surprise would be a success when he sees you bursting out into tears of joy - having your arms thrown around his neck as you pull him closer to your body.

“you caught me off guard, baby!”

“well, i hope i surprised you. *sees you chuckling at how cute your boyfriend was*”

“oh, you sure did! now, let’s grab some lunch?”

“alright, come on i made you some lunch box.”

Wonho;

being the cheesy person that he is, wonho always thinks of going big. you deserved all of his affection after waiting for him for two years and having to deal with all those lonely nights without him. and even months before wonho’s released from his military service, he’s got everything planned from what to wear, what to get you, where the venue will be, and who to contact.

so, he’s got all the boys in contact - having them agree on joining his surprise for you and for his momma bear. and boy, his surprise would kind be cliche but still a memorable one

once he’s finally released from his military service, he’d head back to their dorm and see the cute bunny mascot that was prepared by changkyun for him

“i got this from one of the best rent stores and i also got a pretty nice discount since the lady from the store was a huge fan of yours so she gave me the cutest bunny mascot…. but the question is… does it fit you??’

trying on the mascot, it seemed to be too small or his shoulder but no worries - everything will still go through despite his back being seen from the huge opening from the mascot costume being not zipped up.

so, the next day, the boys are already on the go of fetching you and wonho’s momma bear from their house. wonho, on the other hand, is on his way to buy you and his momma bear both of your favorite flowers

and also, he’s got placards readied for his surprise

so as hours passed, the boys have finally brought you and his momma bear to the park where wonho would usually bring you to when you’re just spending alone time with each other

and as you, momma bear, and the rest of the boys were walking - you spotted a bunny that was waving at you despite having children gathering around it. but, you didn’t really give it much thought and pointed a finger at it for the rest to see. “look, Mrs. Shin, that bunny is waving at us.”

walking up to it, you’re baffled when it pulled out a placard with your name on it.

‘my beautiful mama shin and girlfriend, [y/n],’ ‘i missed you two so much that i give you these bouquets of flowers,’ ‘to commemorate this day of being finally reunited with you beautiful ladies.’ ‘i love you guys, so so much that i decided to surprise the two of you.’

and throughout the whole showing of the placards, you couldn’t help but burst out into fits of tears - knowing that it was wonho behind that mascot, it was wonho who went all through this surprise to just have you and his momma bear remember this very day.

once he finished the placard show, he carefully took the bouquets from the small little boy who helped him hold it for him and walked up to the two of you, giving each and one of you the bouquet until he removed the mascot head with the biggest goofy grin that he can ever give the two of you.

he first gives his mother a hug and a kiss. and once it was finally your turn, he whispered this words before pulling you in for the sweetest yet passionate kiss that he can ever give you after all these years.

“thank you for waiting and never giving up on me, [y/n]. you made me realize that you’re the person whom i want to spend the rest of my life with. i love you so much, and i missed everything about you.”

Minhyuk;

he knew that the two of you have been missing each other so so much to the extent that he really thought of surprising you

coming home after two years of serving the military, he would go straight home to his parents and spend the night there, thinking of ways on how to surprise you after a long week of the stressful workload from your new job

during dinner time, he brings the topic up to his parents and asked him if his surprise was alright but throughout this talk - he had a ton of pretty good ideas. however, there was one surprise idea that got his parents nodding in approval

“here’s the ninth and tenth idea, mom, dad. i was planning to act like her mailman and surprise her although i was also planning on placing myself inside this box and place an ‘open me’ tag on it as if it was the nth box that i sent to her this year and maybe–”

“the last idea is quite a surprise, and i think she’ll be happy with that.”

and with that, minhyuk got everything set up in just half of a day - brought a big but cute box, some of your favorite snacks to relieve all the stress that’s building up in you, and most importantly, himself wearing the cutest sweater that you gave him during Christmas.

setting up the whole box in the middle of your apartment (he has ur spare keys ofc), he glances up at the clock and giggles to himself as he gets in the box, closing it afterward

the whole-waiting-for-you-to-come-home shenanigans, minhyuk couldn’t help but feel antsy and nervous at the thought of finally seeing you sent the butterflies in his tummy going wild

and yet, at some point, all these unwanted feelings washed off when he got a message from wonho saying that you’d be late for a while since you ‘accidentally’ bumped into the duo - Changkyun and Jooheon - and started chatting up with some weird stuff that the three of you share.

minhyuk isn’t the type to do nothing so instead of just waiting in the box feeling antsy or whatever, he actually decides to nibble on the first chocolate bar that’s gotten his interests peak up

he ate and watched some videos on his phone until the sound of your voice echoed throughout the walls of your apartment - making him shut his phone and fix himself before popping out of the box once you open it

“what the- how in the world did this box get in here?”

holding back his laughter would be hard for him but when he heard you coming closer and closer, he sat still and readied himself.

you untie the ribbon, but you placed your stuff on the floor first before proceeding in removing the cover of the box - only to be surprised by Minhyuk’s high pitched ‘surprise!!!!’

his sudden appearance would have you crying buckets as he hands you a bag of your favorite snacks before pulling you into a tight hug - sweet nothings whispered in your ears: ‘i missed you, my love. thank you for waiting for me for two years. i love you so much and i’m going to make up for all the days that i’ve made you feel lonely, sad or hopeless.’

Kihyun;

two years of serving the military finally ended, and this had Kihyun smiling from ear to ear after he gave his senior officers the last salute he’s ever going to give them. with his parents, by his side, as they walk side by side, Kihyun couldn’t help but smile to himself, causing his mother to nudge him on the rib.

“you’re really to have [y/n] as your girlfriend, my dear. she continued to stay faithful to you and to be honest when you were gone, she took care of your father and I even though she had a lot of work up her sleeves.when are you going to see her? or should i say, how are you going to meet her?”

with just a simple question from her mother, Kihyun couldn’t help but pull his parents closer to him. he had a goofy smile on his face as he already knew what to do for you.

“don’t worry, mom, i know what to do.”

and with that remark that left his mouth, Kihyun immediately took action the next day. he went shopping for the ingredients of the dish that you always asked him to make, and even bought you a necklace that had your birthday and his birthdate engraved on the back. well, he actually bought one for himself to have the two of you match.

‘hey, changkyun, is [y/n] with you right now?” he’d call up Changkyun since he knew that the two of you would be going to watch a new movie.

‘she is but she went to the toilet for a minute. wait, what time do you want her to be home?”

‘bring her home by 7pm, alright? i have to cook now and clean up the whole apartment.’

and with that, Changkyun gave him the go signal and he’s left staring at the state of your apartment - it was better than before but it still needed Kihyun’s touch. he first stocks all of the bought ingredients in the fridge, then he proceeds into cleaning the whole apartment.

it took him three hours for cleaning, and once he finished, it was already five in the afternoon. he’d take a quick bath before cooking your favorite dish - and of course, he’d also wear a white button down long sleeve paired with a pair of black ripped jeans since he knows how much you loved seeing him in those *wink wonk coz i do love seeing him with deym button down long sleeve*

meanwhile, you were actually busy calming Changkyun down at some point since he’d be pulling you towards random shops that sold pretty unique things and ever since you got back from the toilet, he’s been acting strangely like something was up

but you somewhat decided to shrug it off since you know Changkyun tends to pull your leg. eventually, the two of you decided to end the day and Changkyun drives you back to your apartment - waving at you once you got off and shouting an ‘i hope you’ll enjoy your surprise!!! (totally giving it away but u still not believing him’)’

going up to your apartment, you just nonchalantly unlock your door, remove your shoes, and walk towards the kitchen without much thought. seeing Kihyun at first, you just casually greeted him with an ‘i’m home, babe.’ until you realized that Kihyun wasn’t there the past days - making you stop on your tracks before throwing yourself to him.

‘i missed you so so so much, babe! when did you got released?! oh my, is it really you?? *cups his face, taking in all his beauty; sees him smile*’

‘it’s me. oh baby, did you miss me that much? *hugs you tighter* you’re still beautiful as ever. i missed you too and how was your day? i cooked you your favorite dis– aigoo, don’t cry *kisses those tears away with his free hand pushing away the strands of hair covering your face* hey, i’m here alright? i won’t leave you anymore.”

Hyungwon;

to be honest Chae Hyungwon would only realize that he’s got to meet you when his mother woke him up from his sleep the next day after he got realized from the military.

‘honey, [y/n]’s going to come here in just a few hours, aren’t you going to do something to surprise her?! *spanking him on the butt; hyungwon groans but gets up in panic*’

‘she is?!’ ‘yes she is!!!’

this probably is the first time for Mrs. Chae to see her son move to get up so fast from his bed but only end up worrying when Hyungwon falls face flat on the floor - causing her to scramble on her feet and help her son up.

‘what should i do for her mom?!’

Hyungwon couldn’t help but ask his mom, but only end up answering his own question before his mother could ever respond. ‘ah! i’m going to need your help on this one, mom. i’ll be....’ and with that, Hyungwon discusses his plan to his mom and dad before he could go out of the house and buy the things he needed for his surprise for you.

it was a big advantage to be living near a stationery shop and a department store. of course, he needed a box, a ribbon, a card, a bouquet of your favorite flowers and a stuffed toy for his plan. well, what were these things for and what’s his plan, really? well, his plan is actually recording his voice in those stuffed toy’s that has a recorder inside and place it in the box as if it’s a package from him.

in the midst of choosing the right box after choosing the right ribbon and card that’d fit your taste, Hyungwon receives a text from his mom saying that you’ll be at their apartment by twelve noon sharp, and glancing at the time it was already ten-forty five in the morning. quickly choosing the box that caught his attention, Hyungwon doesn’t waste any time.

by the minute he finally got the stuffed toy that reminded him of you and a bouquet of your favorite flowers, it was already eleven thirty. he has thirty minutes to get ready and prepare his surprise for you.

if you were there in their apartment, you’d be laughing at how cute Hyungwon went fro and to their whole apartment- recording his voice on the stuffed toy in just two to three times, quickly taking a quick shower and telling his mom and dad what to do for the last time.

‘alright, hyungwonnie, don’t worry. your mom and I got this. *pats Hyungwon on the head and gestures him to hide in his room since you’ll be at their apartment any minute soon*’

and just in time when Hyungwon finally got into his room with the bouquet of flowers in his hands, the doorbell rang through the whole apartment - making his heart race nervously. soon, the sound of your laughter can be heard outside his room.

‘[y/n], honey, Hyungwon sent this package to you *hands you the box*’ ‘oh? what’s inside? *looks at the box and sees Hyungwon’s dad gesturing you to open it* hmm, i wonder what’s inside *opens the box and sees the stuffed toy with a small card resting on top of it* wait, press me? *presses the stuffed toy on the tummy*’

‘[y/n], babe, i want to give you this stuffed toy that reminded me of you. and i want to thank you for staying with me throughout these years, not giving up on me and even waiting for me regardless of having to wait for me for two years. i really am lucky to have someone like you and sometimes, i would somehow realize that i don’t deserve someone so amazing like you. you’re someone who i wouldn’t want to lose... i guess i love you so much that i don’t want to think of not having you by my side.. i missed you so much, [y/n].’

and once the recording stops, Hyungwon then comes out of the room - surprising you in the process. ‘surprise!’

Jooheon;

it was finally the day when Jooheon finally got released from the military and he could never get any happier. he could finally see you and his family and his friends!!

of course, Jooheon’s parents would already be waiting for him once he came out and they’d immediately go out to get some lunch with Monsta X. the whole lunch was enough to make his mood 10 times better than before, however, throughout all the fun Jooheon couldn’t help but think of you.

he was so excited to see you, to pull you into a tight hug, kiss you, talk with you, and do all the things that you guys used to do all time when he wasn’t serving the military yet.

‘hey guys, what should i do or even get for [y/n]? *looks up to meet the gazes of everyone*’

since changkyun and kihyun’s pretty close to you, they didn’t think twice but tell you what you’ve been liking and wanting for the past months. but to be honest, Jooheon’s mom’s advice was enough to have him smiling ear to ear.

‘you know, you could surprise her at the hospital, especially when she’s pretty stressed out throughout these months due to the increase of accidents. you can buy her some chicken and even buy her things.’

knowing how you’d barely make it at home because of your job, the moment Joohen finished hanging out and catching up with his parents, Jooheon didn’t think twice but to head out and make his way to the hospital.

why the hospital you say? well, let’s just say you’re a nurse and you work from noon ‘til midnight. glancing down at his watch, it was still early to buy you dinner, so to kill time, Jooheon decides to write you a letter and buy you the sweater that you’ve been wanting to buy *coughcoughchangkyuncoughwascoughacoughsnitch*

to be honest, Jooheon wouldn’t really hold back on what to buy for you since he knows how you’ve done so well and that his girl needs to be spoiled for not being there for her for two years.

‘hmm, is this for your girlfriend sir?’

‘yes, ehehehe, wanted to spoil her a bit for not giving up o me when i was serving the military.’

now, it was already almost six and if he could clearly remember, six thirty was your break time. quickly taking out a box of fried chicken for you, he makes his way to the hospital and greets the staff casually with a smile. he asks them where you are and knowing how he frequently visited years before, he easily got to you.

and when you saw him, you couldn’t help but tear up when he smiled warmly at you, his dimples coming out to say hi to you. ‘i’m back,’ and just with that, it was enough for you to throw your arms around his neck and pull him closer while letting out an ‘i missed you so much!’ throughout your sobs.

‘ssh, don’t cry. i’ll be by your side from now and forever [y/n]. i’ll never leave you again. thank you... for being with me up until now.’ pulling away from the hug, Jooheon with cup your face with his free hand and pull you in a sweet yet quick kiss, causing your cheeks to heat up and change into a darker shade of red.

‘i love you, [y/n].’

changkyun being changkyun, he couldn’t help but heave out a sigh as he munches on his toast as he waits for his mother to finish cutting up the fruits. it has been hours since he’s been released from the military and by now, his release would probably be all over the internet... and now he has to think whether he’s going to surprise you or not.

but wait, it’s actually already four in the afternoon

since you might have or not have seen these articles yet since it’s either you’re at school or studying at the library. and to be honest, momma Lim couldn’t help but shoot his son a look.

‘you know, you’re not going to go anywhere if you keep on sighing, changkyun. and besides, what’s wrong dear?’

changkyun couldn’t help but pout at his mom and whine at how you might already know that he’s been released or how he might not be able to do any surprise since you might probably know by now or maybe someone has already told you--

“so? what is she already knows? don’t let that stop you from surprising her, honey. she’d be even delighted if you surprised you, especially when she hasn’t seen you for two straight years. why don’t you go to her university and wait for her at the front gate once her classes are finished and take her out for dinner?’

to be honest, if you could see Changkyun’s expression when he hears his mother’s suggestion, you wouldn’t be able to stop laughing at how gold his reaction was. staring at his mother with awe, Changkyun couldn’t help but stand up and pull his mom into a big hug before repeatedly saying ‘you’re a genius, mom! thank you, thank you, thank you!!’

and let’s just say that Changkyun’s dad decides to ruin the moment by saying, ‘you also do know that her class is going to end in thirty minutes, right? you better get going son.’

without wasting any second, Changkyun doesn’t think twice and gives his parents a hug before dashing out of the house with his bag with him. thankfully, he finally got his license before he went to the military so he can go to your university with ease.

but to be honest, throughout the trip to your university, Changkyun remembers that you always loved it when he brought you a box of chocolate whenever he picked you up from school.

of course, even though there is only ten minutes to spare, Changkyun will take the risk and quickly stop by this chocolate shop and buy you a box of your favorite types of chocolate.

with just five minutes left to spare, he would quickly go back to the front gate of your university and wait for you (letsjustsaytheshopwasnearyouruni).

all of those who recognized him couldn’t help but squeal, and Changkyun couldn’t really think straight nor notice them since the thought of seeing you had his heartbeat nervously.

finally, he sees you from afar and he couldn’t help but break into a sweet smile when you finally recognized him. the way how your eyes and lips light up into a smile, the way how you looked so happy, and the way how you quickly made your way to him had him remember how lucky he was to have you in his life. greeting you with a big hug, Changkyun takes in your scent and lets out a sigh of relief that he’s finally got to have you in his arms again.

‘baby, i missed you so much. *pulls away from the hug and stares at you lovingly* how’s my baby been doing? *pushes away the stands of hair away from your face before he continues to lovingly stare at you*’ ‘i’ve been good so far, Changkyun. oh glob, i missed you so much *buries your face on his chest*’ ‘*laughs wholeheartedly* aigoo, baby, i missed you more. now, how about we go on a date after being apart for such a long time now?’
