I'm in a bad place and just have been main-lining Skam for over a week straight.

There literally will be nothing better than the OG Isak and Evan.

We peaked with them.

Don't get my wrong, YR and HS are freaking exceptional. I adore them to the very depths of my soul. They have changed me. If I'd had those shows as a teen or even as a 20 something my life would be so different.

But S3 of Skam. Tarjei and Henrik. The music. The storyline. The clothes. The script/lack of script. It truly can't be better.

O Helga Natt deserves a place amongst the most important, influential, and perfect scenes in 2010's television.

I just rewatched SKAM yesterday. The first time I watched this show I was around 17/18 I think? I didn’t even know that I was queer. Just that it felt so nice to see a same sex relationship on screen.

Now I’m 23 and have been in a few queer relationships. Rewatching the show made me so nostalgic. Back then I had to wait til like 3am or something when everyone was asleep to watch it. I was so scared of getting caught watching a gay couple on screen. Now I’m just watching it in broad daylight.

Anyways I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’m grateful that the internet introduced me to the show. Though I didn’t know it at the time, it was kind of a stepping stone to me accepting myself. I get that there a lot of queer shows now, but SKAM came at a time where it wasn’t the societal norm. And I’m so grateful for it.

Okay so I had a little procedure done yesterday (I’m fine!) and I was a bit nervous about it, but when I first walked in for my appointment, “Head Over Heels” by Tears for Fears was playing overhead, and I immediately thought of the Evak bike scene and felt better 😂

okay so i'm not trying to make this a ~thing~ or a hot take or whatever, but can we talk about how all the hyped up queer shows still predominantly feature mlm couples? i'm not saying there aren't wlw shows/movies or the mlm-focused shows don't also feature wlw characters/couples, just... they either get nowhere near the same amount of hype, have some other main plot, end with at least one of them dying or experiencing something traumatic, get cancelled after one season in the middle of their arc, or they're not the main couple. And that's not to discount the representation you can get from secondary characters of course but just... ugh I want a heartstopper or rwrb or young royals or skam or love, simon or i don't even know... with girls. And I know I'm not the first person to bring this up and I know it's not that simple, but seeing all the hype for heartstopper and rwrb this week makes my heart ache a little bit so i needed to say this somewhere.
