it doesn't really make sense in the logic (lol) of the show but part of me loves the idea that edd is being raised by his grandparents.... kids who are raised by grandparents tend to be overly mature and a little uhhhhh off-beat. i feel like it could explain a lot.
For the Johnny and Kenshi shippers out there, whatever you do don’t imagine Kenshi absolutely refusing any sort of affection from Johnny out of fear his love isn’t real. Kenshi doesn’t wanna fall for something that’s clearly fake. Why would Johnny Cage of all people actually care for him? Kenshi isn’t stupid. He knows what this is. It’s pity love. Kenshi saved his life and lost his eyes, and although Johnny gave him Sento back, he still feels he should do more, hence loving him while he adjusts to his new life. Kenshi knows how to sniff out a lie and Johnny can’t fool him. He won’t let Johnny fool him. So he pushes Johnny away at every chance. It’s better this way. At least when Johnny is over feeling sorry for him and wants to leave, it’ll be easier to let go.
Damian being really excited to tell his family something about something he learned during his deep dives in school (he just wants to infodump) and all of this family just doesn’t care. Like mixed replies from
“I’m busy, tell me later”
“Are you trying to teach me something?”
“If I cared I would’ve taken the class myself”
And then other responses that just humor him and listen or at least pretend that they listen, but I mean Damian wasn’t looking for anyone to listen he just wanted to talk about it. He got the gist that no one cares so he’ll text Jon or write about it in his notes app.
I feel like Alfred would listen and actively listen while he’s doing house chores. Damian will help him while talking and Alfred will ask him questions and Damian will answer and it’s a whole conversation rather than a one-sided talk
Until Alfred is gone (idk if he’s gone as in dead or on vacation) and Damian has no one to talk to
thinking about what if you manage to save geto from kenjaku and bring him back to life — a binding vow that costs you part of your life and your jujutsu, but then you have to deal with the aftermath of helping geto put himself back together and what that really meant after everything he had done and everything kenjaku had done
Oh the absolute horror of waking up 44 years after your death, only to hear the computerised voice of your best friend do a mock accent devoid of his usual humor, best friend you last saw struggling to breathe and bleeding out on the floor. While being blind. And not feeling your legs
No wonder Warren got so freaked out he pullet out his catheter
mizumono from hannibal’s perspective except he compares the tragedy to agamemnon sacrificing iphigenia and will’s anguish to that of clytemnestra, the vindictive wife who’ll never understand why he had to do it but guts him for it anyway, rejoicing as she watches the blood spill from the side of the tub and splatter onto the tiles.
versus mizumono from will’s perspective except he compares the tragedy to medea brutally killing her children to hurt jason for his betrayal. just because she wanted to punish him. even if it breaks her heart and betrays her weakness. so long as he’s not laughing at her, they can both share the pain while she wrings his heart and bleeds it dry.
A spoiler for my upcoming Bucky Whump for Buck Angst idea
So I've been rewatching episode 1 of MOTA again, and all I can think about is what if Bucky wasn't there when the boys landed in England? What if he crashed on one of the missions he was a tag along? What if Buck landed in England and didn't see Bucky there waiting for him?
actually though. something kinda compelling about jack frost who was killed so suddenly and so young getting to experience being a teenager/young adult vicariously by goofing off with his teenage/young adult friends. and there is also something so compelling about him being at once the most immature and the most experienced of all of them because he is a 300 year old teenager who has seen nations rise and fall and thousands of winters but will also start snowball fights because it's fun
I wish we got more moments of the Walkers being Family like. The opening of “Brave New World” where Hesh says he let Logan sleep a bit longer because he figured he could use the rest set the bar too high for the rest of the campaign. You don’t really get anything like that line again - there’s the “Sin City” and “The Ghost Killer” cutscenes as well but those are both high tension, ‘holy shit don’t hurt my brother/I am dying son but I’m proud of you’ lines. And honestly Hesh’s “All or Nothing” Rorke File where he talks about his misplaced guilt after losing Elias…it’s almost a bit weird that he doesn’t reference how Logan is handling it at all (especially considering he was the one manhandled into shooting their father).
I guess the first unlockable Rorke File where Elias talks about taking the boys to the beach counts, and Hesh’s “Logan’s got my back, and I got his. He’s my brother.” but it just feels a bit stilted compared to the natural tenderness of the “Brave New World” opening.
Imagine Sonic started feeling betrayed by his own friends when they did not rescued him in those six months of torture in forces and he never quite got rid of the feeling, so when the Metal Virus happens and everyone blames him for it, is actually his breaking point and he after it finishes and everyone is happy; Sonic is so fucking hurt and starts his villain arc :]
