Have you seen the other BBC Dracula from like 2006 with Rafe Spall and Stephanie Leonidas as Jonathan and Mina (and they’re so young and happy and in love), and Marc Warren is perfectly creepy as Dracula, and David Suchet is Van Helsing and everything is going so well until they reveal that the main plot of the film is that Arthur has summoned Dracula to England to cure him of syphilis 😂

YES. Dear God. I feel like you've just unlocked a repressed memory. I love that utterly bizarre adaptation. I think I watched it hot off the heels of Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, so the Marc Warren Dracula casting is...a choice, but not a choice I hate.

Sometimes his mask slips a little and he looks goofy as hell, you have to do your best to not laugh into his face because you know he won’t let that slide.
