#ok its jinjin

jinjin's playlist gets an 8.5/10 for me. i think his music choices are all very solid! im happy to say that i think jinjin has pretty good taste. there weren't a lot of korean artists, which im assuming is because this is made with an international audience in mind which sucks, i'd love more diversity. i mostly listened to this on shuffle, but actually, when i started listening to it in order i started liking it a lot more? funny how that works. its actually tempting me to up that grading but... no. hes not QUITE up there. really good taste though, i will absolutely listen to more of this.

here's some observations:

I WAS SO HAPPY TO SEE OVERTIME IN THIS, ITS LEGIT ONE OF MY FAVORITE SONGS. actually i noticed a few cash cash songs in this. guys.... i think jinjin might like cash cash. just a theory.

he added an entire madeon album which was so fucking funny to me. i dated a girl who was super into madeon. haven't talked to her in like a year but i felt so tempted to go "hey. my kpop boy likes madeon. just thought i'd let you know" VNFJNVJV. either way i like the little ive heard from madeon so i approve.

there were a couple of songs here that i already knew but they were all songs that i liked a lot! so that made me very happy!

a lot of this is just kinda very generic pop BUT to jinjin's luck, i also really like generic pop! maybe he should marry me idk. listen, generic pop is like anything, it can be good or bad, and i think jinjin and i both like GOOD generic pop ok. it does go back to me saying i wish there was more diversity here though! jinjin, honey hear me out.... lets listen to shinedown together, i promise you, you're gonna like it JINJIN PLEASE LISTEN, I PROMISE-

he def has a thing for.... dance music?? is that what its called?? yknow the kind of song you can dance to. stuff thats very upbeat and fun.

there is a LOT of smaller artists here! i think its cool of him to introduce those to his audience. mad respect.

HMMM i dont have anything else to say about it. he listens to good music! i would pass him the aux, i trust him with it.

Oh, that makes sense. I think astro's style generally tends towards upbeat songs that u can dance to, so it makes sense that a lot of those types of songs also show up in jinjin's playlist. If jinjin likes generic pop, do u think he'd like without you by nct

“I’ll stay with you forever.”

Sanha hated promises of forever.  When he was young and naive and impetuous, the concept of forever was thrown around without the requisite considerations.  He thought his feelings would only grow deeper, or at least, they would remain static and unyielding.  Love now was as good as love forevermore.

From the first time he heard it, forever lasted two months. By the end of his brief eternity, he was a mess.  He staked almost everything on the fleeting love of a liar who didn’t even look back as he walked away.  

Worse, even his own promises of forever fell flat.  The love soured in his veins, and rosy memories rotted through the bitter lens of heartbreak.  How blind he had been.

Forever meant nothing.

Promising forever was a platitude that the insecure offered to quiet their own fears.  It placated the worried.  The end inevitably came and stripped forever of its meaning.  

Better not to say it all.

He should have expected that Jinwoo might eagerly make an impossible promise of forever.   Afterall, when they first met, Jinwoo fed him some awful and cheesy line about his lips looking lonely.  His brain-to-mouth filter tended to malfunction-- especially when lubricated with some wine. But Sanha was the one who still found him charming despite himself.

Jinwoo probably thought he would say something, caress his flushed cheek and reply with a lilting affirmation of devotion.  Sanha’s silence didn’t seem to make Jinwoo waver.  For Jinwoo, it just slipped out; he intended to stay forever and he made his intentions clear.  Sanha didn’t have the heart to tell Jinwoo quite yet that saying ‘forever’ spelled doom for their relationship.

He held his breath.

At least, he would be prepared for the sting of heartbreak when Jinwoo realized he did not want to be around Sanha forever. 

He pressed a kiss against Jinwoo’s forehead, and JInwoo sighed.

(The sting never came.)
