First and foremost: As I've stated before, it's very difficult to get this man's attention

He's got an obsession with defeating Yugi that's almost as big as his inflated ego

When he's not after regaining the title he lost, he's usually busy with his company

Which creates the problem: How would a CEO like him who rarely, if ever, gets sick or injured (let alone enough to go to the hospital) meet a nurse?

One of two ways:

Either one, the nurse is a duelist with enough skill to garter his attention

Or, and I'm not liking this option, he or Mokuba gets hurt enough to earn a visit to the hospital you work

Whether it's your tenderness while treating him or his brother, or the spark in your eyes when you duel, Seto notices you

After a while of getting to know each other (and I do mean quite a while because we all know that boy is a hard nut to crack), you start notice little white roses being left at the nurse's station for you

This gartered some teasing from the other nurses toward you about the tall, strapping young man that would ask for you, only to leave a white rose for you.

Now, if you're reading this, the meaning of the white rose is this: loyalty, purity and innocence. (He totally didn't just pick the white roses because it matched his motif skskskssk)

Mokuba practically had to drag him to see you at a tournament so the older Kaiba Brother could finally ask you out.

Once your relationship is set solid (give a few months, he's not used to this kind of love), you are literally the only person he will trust to take care of him if anything happens.... Unless the doctor comes at your recommendation

Makes sure you're safe at all times, he doesn't care if he has to be with you all the time himself, he's going to protect the ones he loves.

Lemme tell you, he does not say it often, but you are his entire world. He proves it with his actions, from the white rose he still leaves at the nurse's station with a note telling you to have a good day to the soft smile he has everytime you're around him.

One thing's for sure, darlin', he's over the moon for you

you come home after a long day and the only thing on your mind is akaashi. when you finally close the door behind you and slip off your shoes, feeling the immediate relief on the bottom of your feet, akaashi is already padding over to greet you. the soft smile on his face falters when he sees how drained you look and he readily accepts you into his arms as you approach him. your deep, exhausted sighs and the way you’re clinging onto him is enough to leave cracks in his heart, and he lets you stay there for several minutes, your face buried into the soft material of his shirt and his hand rubbing soothing patterns on your back. eventually he slowly leads you to the sofa and situates the both of you on it, him sitting down and you comfortably on his lap. he doesn’t let go of you for one second, instead holds you impossibly closer against him. “you can cry if you want to, or you can vent about it, or we can just stay like this,” he murmurs, gently kissing you on the crown of your head, “i’ll be here for you.”

meanwhile, kita comes home after a long day and finds it odd when you don’t greet him at the door as you usually would. he wanders around the house in search of his beloved, before finding you sitting alone at the dining table, seemingly deep in thought. he feels a little guilty when you jump slightly at his touch that alerts you of his presence, but he’s more concerned when you quickly compose yourself and offer him a smile that doesn’t fully reach your eyes, adding in a hey, shinsuke with the tiniest waver in your voice — but he knows. he knows you’re not feeling your best and you’re trying to hide it from him, and as much as he wants to find out what’s bothering you right away, he holds immense trust in you, that you’ll communicate it to him when you’re ready. so, instead, he leans down to give you a tender kiss on your forehead and a soft hello, love, before he makes his way to the cupboard to grab both your favourite mugs, your favourite blend of tea leaves and puts the kettle on. while waiting for the water to boil, he joins you at the table, at the seat next to you, and takes your hands in his, giving each knuckle a gentle kiss. “if there’s anything you ever need, even if it’s the smallest things,” kita says, sharp brown eyes filled with his fondness for you boring into your own, “i’ll be here for you.”
