Oooh, any headcanons for ciel with an older sister figure? Like she’s chaotic but she cares and loves him deeply. She is of no use to him, but she somehow offers him some sense of comfort.

Dear Anon,

This is a really interesting ask 🤔 Especially considering what's holding Ciel back the most is that he's lost everything and everyone he's ever loved. The best way I can describe it is similarly to if Soma was a big brother figure to Ciel which honestly is so bittersweet it hurts my heart.

Ciel's relationship with an older sister figure:

(assuming you mean during current events with him being in a contract with Sebastian) She would probably hate Sebastian and I think Ciel would be perfectly okay with that.

He would probably find the arguments she has with Sebastian amusing.

Ciel keeps his distance from her, much like he does everyone else.

Especially if he does find some sort of comfort in her, he'll probably proactively try to make sure he doesn't fall too vulnerable in order to stay on course with his contract.

There are rare moments Ciel will find himself laying in her lap as she pets his little head.

Because Ciel is heavily influenced by Sebastian and his view of how human women should properly behave, Ciel would want his sister figure to be every bit the proper and posh lady (even if she hates wearing a corset)

They probably fight alot lol Over dumb things. Like what type of cake is the best and how Ciel really wears heel raisers to appear taller.

Chess games get really intense. Ciel's already very melodramatic when it comes to chess, but if she's any good at the game at all, he'll be on his A-game for sure!

If he loses a game, he'll never hear the end of it--if not from her, then definitely Sebastian. This is why it is imperative that he wins every game.

They place bets all the time with each other and every time the stakes get incrementally higher.

Until one day, out love for her sibling, she says, "If I win, you let me take your place when the contract is over."

Which only makes Ciel frustrated because 1) that's impossible 2) that's a stupid thing to wager and 3) it only cements the fact that she really cares for him and would trade her life for his. All of which makes him put even more space between them!

He refuses those terms of course. But in any reality where it's possible, I think it would be bittersweet and in Sebastian's best interest to get a two for one deal by the end of it all.

Can you tell I really like ride-or-die dynamics?

Do you have any headcanons on Sebastian’s and Vanity’s relationship? Their dynamic and stuff like that?

The answer to your question is YES.

FAR TOO MANY HEADCANONS. I’ve probably spent way more time than someone typically would trying to decipher what a canon character’s relationship with their mother would be like...

You have no idea the amount of joy this ask brings me, despite this response being really late.

Goodness, where do I start?

Vanity herself reminds me of Mother Gothel from Tangled and Eleanor Young from Crazy Rich Asians. So she’s quite the handful.

Vanity's relationship with Sebastian is rocky... And here’s why-

Vanity is all about image. She wants a perfect family and to be the perfect mother, however, her methods of raising her children to be perfect are... less than ideal

*cough*Yes*cough*ThisMeansSebHasASibling

Strict schedules, harsh punishments, and anything less than perfect means disposability

His mother’s lack of unconditional love and support for him as a child is a source of Sebastian’s innate desire for praise and validation

Given Sebastian is her first born, Vanity holds him to spectacularly high expectations! When she says to jump, her’s forced to ask how high until it’s ingrained in him.

This is particularly prominent in Seb’s early childhood, but as he gets older, he’s quick to start making his own choices

Vanity is a strict rulefollower, whereas Sebastian likes to bend them to see what he can get away with...

No matter how old he is, Vanity is constantly nit picking Sebastian’s appearance and grammar. 

It’s ‘whom’, dear, not ‘who’...

Sebastian absolutely loathes when his mother talks over him. Which she does often.

Both of them are always trying to look for ways to show off--what starts out as a friendly competition quickly uproots arguments from ages ago.

When it gets to that point... They are both INTENSELY passive aggressive... The SASS.... Seriously, just imagine that petty food fight between Seb and Cluade but on STEROIDS

While Sebastian is genuinely emotionally stunted, Vanity cooses to bury her emotions for what she thinks is best for herself (considering the type of man she’s married to... It’s in her best interests tbh)

This makes for a LOT of miscommunications, especially when Vanity tries to guilt trip with the “But I’m your mother!” card.

This leads to Sebastian being confused and generally discomforted...

“Stop that.”

Sebastian prefers to interact with his mother more than his father, but they are equally displeasing to be around in his opinion, despite the vast difference in demeanor.

They make for a very dramatic, VERY dysfunctional family :)

Awhile ago- I wrote a fic with Vanity in it on AO3 about her freaking out over Sebastian's wedding engagement (that she knew nothing about) and she was... Well... Let's just say furious is an understatement.

How do you think all that time being tortured and kidnapped would have affected O!Ciel?

Alrighty kids gather round--

Let's dig into this traumatized blueberry, Our!Ciel.

Time to put my film and media studies degree to the test!

Trauma, as a whole, is something that can't be ignored. Sadly, it doesn't just go away--trauma doesn't just follow you day to day, but in essence becomes a part of your entire being and shapes some part of your person. Survivors come out of trauma a different person (even minusculey). And given the severity of O!Ciel's degree of trauma, it's no surprise that the boy has PTSD.

People deal with their trauma in different ways to cope, in O!Ciel's case, he digs his heels into his trauma, uses it as a method of justifying any action he takes (even if it means burning down a whole building of children), and has an interesting way of priding himself on it. All in order to feel like he can have a sense of control... which after feeling helpless in many facets of his life, I can't really say I blame him?

He hates humans. I state this with conviction. As a child, he naturally has hope for life, innately he wants happiness, but that's just fucking shot. He's been overlooked, tortured, and raped--by humans. Ironically enough, the only being that shows him common decency is not even a human! And even then, he's a smart boy and knows that Sebastian doesn't actually care about him and it's all a ruse anyways.

The boy thrives in resentment. I honestly think deep down O!Ciel hates his brother. Jealousy perhaps? I don't think this is something on the forefront of his mind, but he's lived in his brother's shadow for a long time, and he made a deal with the devil in his brother's name. Understandably, he claims it was because Ciel was next in line, but if the R!Ciel is publicly proclaimed dead, then the duties would still fall onto him but with his real name. So I think he's using his name as an outlet for all his frustrations subconsciously-- "I'm not doing it, my brother is". In the process, he's also seperating himself from the situation to ease his own guilt.

The hardest challenge for survivors is to not believe that it was their fault-- and the way O!Ciel coped with not feeling tremendously guilty about his brother's death (survivors guilt) was by claiming himself as dead. His brother didn't die. He died.

That being said, O!Ciel is still a child. As much as he may make mature decisions, he is still a child. He can only go so far when it comes to emotional maturity. Deep down he is a frightened little kid who feels lost. He uses despair as a shield to protect himself. He shuns away any prospect of happiness because he's terrified to feel or be loved. Because after the torture he went through, being loved in any sense of the word equates to being vulnerable and it feels absolutely disgusting. He never wants to feel that vulnerable again so he shuts down and becomes "mature".

The baby has irreparable trust issues.

James quickly cut in, snapping back at the spider’s retort. “What do you think you’re doing?!” he snarled in a hush tone. The wolf snatched the spider by the wrist, unhinged. He wanted nothing more than to bruise it. “Of course we need her. Who else are we going to turn to? Certainly not her brother-”

Claude’s lids lowered. “You really have no idea who you’re dealing with…” he frowned. “But if you really want to get caught in her web, then by all means…” Without hesitancy, the demon ripped his wrist from James’s death grip. “But I am not making a deal with her if she were the last demon on this earth.”

This is an inside joke from 5 YEARS AGO about Sebs having a fish dick.

I was reading a very old crack roleplay where Sebastian turned into a merman and I cannot express enough how CRINGEY this writing was. Granted, I was in middle school, but I literally cried of laughter when I read:

Sebastian growled and flinged a huge amount of water towards Claude. Smirking at the dripping wet demon, he grinned poshly "Did you jizz your pants?"

THIS DIDNT EVEN HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH WHAT WAS HAPPENING IN THAT MOMENT???

Sebaciel headcanons? Give me everything you’ve got

*cracks knuckles* Aight here we go buddy first post after our MAJOR hiatus from college kicking our butts! 

You’ll have to excuse the brevity of the post as we’re trying to get back into the swing of things and amp up the flow of our creative juices!

Sebaciel Headcanons

Sebastian has always appreciated humans as a form of entertainment due to their flip flop of predictability and unpredictability, and Ciel seems to be one of the best at surprises when he least expects it. 

Sebastian is a first class foodie, so you can bet your ass he wants nothing less than the best. That said, because Ciel is... a challenge, let’s say (*cough*hesafuckingbrat*cough*)- Sebastian has considered on MULTIPLE occasions just cutting his losses and eating what he can. Usually though, just when he thinks he’s about to give in, Ciel trashes his life yet again and lifts Sebs spirits. Their relationship is like an emotional yo-yo for Sebastian.

As far as their day to day relationship, it’s pretty clear Sebastian likes to fuck with Ciel psychologically. The man made himself look eerily similar to the kid’s dead father, I mean come on. I wouldn’t put it past the demon to do petty shit constantly. 

For example, hinting that Ciel’s desert would be nothing short of cake and scrumptious goodies enough to stir any twelve-year-old’s aching appetite. Only for him to realize what Sebastian had meant when he said “a deliciously brown iced desert” was a fruit platter with a very very light drizzle of chocolate. 

Mostly he puts the earl in awkward situations where he has to improvise his way out. For example, putting him in a dress. Sebastian will tell Lady Elizabeth Ciel is fully available for a dance when literally the LAST thing Ciel wants is to step foot out on the dance floor. 

Inconveniencing is Sebastian’s specialty. The devil is in the details after all~

Despite everything though, years with the boy has formed some semblance of a relationship to him. While he loves messing with Ciel to no end and he is a vengeful beast, he does enjoy those times where they can cooperate. When they aren’t battling each other, they make quite a team in screwing other people over. At times, he’s even a touch proud of the devious little imp Ciel has become under his influence. 

From Ciel’s perspective, he wouldn’t admit such, but he definitely looks up to Sebastian as a father figure. 

Besides his natural fear of a being that could literally rip him apart which he keeps deep deep down to prevent himself from getting hurt, Ciel is especially smug at the hold he has over such a beast. Kinda like a “my dog’s bigger than yours, so just you try it, punk” mentality.

Ciel does admire Sebastian’s cunning and devious nature, but he’ll be damned before he ever verbalizes it. He’ll take his feelings to the grave... though that’s not to say Sebastian can taste it by the time it’s all over.

How about a roommate AU where they have to share a bed? 10/10 would recommend

Or say they have seperate beds, but one of them always sneaks into the other's bed in the middle of night--particularly after having a stressful day, nightmare, or just want to be close

The absolute confusion and internal screaming that ensues when one of them wakes up to their roommate in bed with them, snuggled closely 😩👌

9. Fake dating or arranged marriage?

This one was HARD. Been contemplating it for like ten minutes straight... Settled for fake dating because it leaves room so much conflict plot-wise. Why are they doing this? Was one of them paid?? How can we make them suffer more??

It's good when they're like mutually in it to gain something and then eventually grow feelings for each other

But my god

WHEN ONE IS ABSOLUTELY INFATUATED WITH THE OTHER and the other is just so friggin oblivious to it ('what are feelings?')

10. Mutual pining or enemies to friends to lovers?

ThIS!!

This is the type of trope that starts with hate fucking and turns into eventual making love which is what I'm living for

Love your blog! It's nice to see new kuro stuff popping up every now and then. Do you have any random headcanons for Arshad (pre-Soma Agni)?

ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY!

I love this man. He was obviously too good for this world, we didn't deserve him and Yana made that fact clear.

One night me and Stella went HAM on imagines for Agni, pre-Soma, like... a couple of years ago and it led to some depressing headcanons for muses--But the good kind of angst!! Like the type that rips your heart out but you love it anyways because CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT IS EVERYTHING (at least to me).

So bare with me as I try to articulate the man that was Arshad Satyendra Iyer.

Pre-Soma Agni Headcanons (a drabble?):

He was a godless fiend.

And we mean that in all seriousness, but he wasn't always that way

The facts are these:

Arshad was a Brahmin. Meaning he was a teacher/holyseeker/temple priest

He dedicated his life to holy work

He absolutely loved helping people. It was his livelihood.

He would go above and beyond what was expected of him and his colleagues

Everyone that came to him was considered a friend in need of saving

He would take his personal time and funds to help people, even at times when there wasn't much for him to give. He would give what he could to make sure they felt at least someone was there for them.

His colleagues would even feel their practices weren't on par with his which created a sort of divide between him and other temple priests. Some felt they were not good enough company to be associated with him while others resented him for being such a pushover.

And like all good people, Arshad's kindness was taken advantage of, but it wasn't anything he wasn't prepared for.

He would never wish ill treatment on a person

Until he did.

He grew tired of the injustice in his country.

Constantly telling people who wanted to change and who wanted to get better from their poor living situations that it was possible... when really, he was just sparing people a small piece of relief in an unfair caste system.

People were dying and their faith along with them.

Arshad grew furious and unbelievably frustrated with this way of living.

He always had a bit of a temper growing up, but that was kept at ease by the fact he was in a serene environment. Take that away and hes anything but calm.

Everyone he turned to seemed to think he was advocating for a lost cause and in some instances. He was attacked for it.

He was denounced and cast out from every temple except for one that he took refuge to until they eventually refused him too.

Arshad eventually came to believe that violence was the only way to get across to people

He killed lots of people with the intention that he was sparing people from this horrible way of life

He killed in hopes they would enter their next life cycle and hopefully reincarnate into a higher position in the caste system

He fully believes that life beyond this one is much better

However, he would murder people in horrible ways-- physically tearing them limb from limb, bashing their heads in, and drowning them

Of course, people thought he was crazy and after quite a few psychological breakdowns, he accepted it

He was an outlaw, a mad man, and on every fucking wanted poster across Bengal

Then one day a shining prince flipped his world upside down~

This turned into more of a drabble than a list of headcanons, but either way I hope you enjoyed it!!

Hi! Do you have any Lizzy headcanons?

Absolutely!! Sorry for the wait, had an inspiration drought. For funsies, I've decided to share a few of Lizzy's love headcanons~!

- Lizzy is hopeless romantic! She is a sucker for all things lovey dovey--bouquets of flowers, chocolates, hand written love letters, and giant stuffed teddy bears are the way to her heart!

- Her ideal date is literally anywhere with her S/O. As long as she's with them, she could care less where they are. Though a nice candlelit dinner or stroll through the garden is always nice. Simple girls have simple pleasures.

- Lizzy fully believes every girl deserves a knight in shining armor and that only time will tell when they finally get to meet! However, Lizzy is very impatient.

- When it comes to being asked out, Lizzy prefers not to be the one asking. And when she really wants someone to ask her out, she'll make it out to be as if the person had asked her out, but in fact they didnt.

"Have you picked out an outfit for the dance?" they asked, out of genuine curiousity.

Lizzy's ears perked at the sound of their voice, immediately knowing who it was. Her eyes lit up at the sight of their face. "Yes! And we're going to look just dashing! See you at 8?"

"Uhm... excuse me?"

- When Lizzy starts to like someone, she gets SUPER protective over them. Across all verses, she is both a princess and knight in shining armor all wrapped in one cute little package! RIP anyone that gets to feel her fury when she finds out someone's been talking smack about her S/O.

- Lizzy strives to make her S/O feel as comfortable and safe as possible.

-She has an amazing attention for detail so she hangs onto every little detail about her crush. The way their mood changes even the slightest when something's off, their pattern of speech, and of course, their wardrobe.

- That being said, she takes everything her crush says to heart and maybe even a little too personally sometimes. When that happens, she can be pretty dramatic but it always comes from a good place at heart.

- When Lizzy falls for someone. She. Falls. Her mind will be clouded with thoughts of them for days non-stop! Makes for trouble when she's suppose to be focusing on her fencing techniques.

- She often worries about whether they're being taken care of properly or if they're in danger. Lovesick anxiety ensues and only intensifies when her S/O is away for a long time.

- Lizzy gets super self-conscious about her appearance when she's around her crush. Especially when she knows she will see them later, she will have tried on fifteen different dresses before leaving the manor.

- One of Lizzy's favorite things is to match her S/O in clothing, purposely or accidentally. It makes her feel like they are match meant to be!

I should like to know if you ever wrote your 'WIP' about Sebastian's cinematic record. Did you write it? If so where is it and under what name please? If not, could you perhaps do so? I should very much like to read such a fanfic

Oh wow that was awhile ago, wasn't it? I'm sorry, but I didn't get around to writing it aside from that wip!

I might try again soon, but I'm actually working on a book right now so that's where a lot of my energy has been put towards recently.

Though as I'm thinking about it I might use it as a method of warming up for writing about one of the characters in it. You could say he's... Heavily inspired by the demon.

So keep an eye out? If I do post the fanfic, it'll either be on here or my black butler amino.

Hello there. I am trying to create a BB themed wall hanging panel for my studio inspired by Tumblr moodboards concept. The idea is to combine pictures from original Yana artworks with non Kuro-related pictures that gather the overall dark/decadent atmosphere. About the latter, do have any suggestion for me on some nice subjects/colours palette/patterns I could use for? Thank you🙏🏼

For visual explanation (and my own entertainment), I made mood boards and color palettes!

Some major themes I suggest are:

Ciel's three 'c's (candy, crime, and chess)

Some specific topics/images to look for that come to mind:

Tea cups / corsets / ribbons / quills / gloves / roses

Color palettes:

This can vary depending on personal taste. The one thing I love about kuroshitsuji aesthetics is it can be very polarizing. You can either go dark and emphasize shadows in the pictures which is a take on the dark, gothic themes of the story; or go for simple, clean, and bright--butlery--emphasizing the elegance of the victorian era.

I think this is very embodying of the nature of our main characters. Ciel & Sebastian are known to put on great elegant facades which hides their true dark natures.

I personally like using muted tones because it's a nice medium of them both. Storywise, their in a limbo state, afterall.

Colors to consider:

Black, shades of grey

Blues, navy

Royal purple

Dark red

Muted shades of any color, but be consistent

Black butler inspired patterns:

rose vines with thorns

black and white checkerboard

patterns on moth wings/butterfly wings

black tendrils/smoke

I really do hope you guys come to accept her because she means a whole lot to me...

She helped me through a very stressful (and albeit traumatic) period of my life. And tbh, she's still helping me cope and I love her for it which is precisely why I think ocs need more credit.
