The yearly phenomenon where u get the first rays of sunshine and ppl (me included) act like it’s summer even tho it’s still just +1 degrees out; all I can think abt is making an icey coffee treat and I saw a person casually walking outside in shorts
re:hbomberguy, on the topic of citing sources, i want to say:
it is insane how many people on here don't even click the sources op links on their own post to learn more and just hit reblog saying "oh my i didn't know about this thank you for teaching me!". like guys CLICK THE LINK!! CHECK THE NOTES!!! CHECK THE SOURCE!.... i swear half the time the link is dead or takes you to a nonsense page (i see this a lot with art specifically???? and excerpts from magazines??) and some times the linked source disproves a claim the very post that linked it made and people just. don't bother to check, no one bothers to even reblog saying "hey that link is dead! here's a new, working link!" or "hey that link doesn't work, can you link the source again?" and when it comes to misinformation people just share without checking or looking at the notes where numerous people will (in the best case scenario) already be pointing out the misinformation
"OH BUT I CAN'T CHECK EVERYTHING I SEE ON THE INTERNET" there is a surefire way to prevent spreading this kind of stuff even if you don't have the time to fact check immediately. just accept it's fine to save a post for later if you can't look deeper into it right now!!!!! literally just reblog it in private or save the post as a draft so you can come back to it later and check. it won't kill you and in fact it will actually make your life a lot better lol
When Vivi (my oc for poly minsung. I’ll elaborate later on her) finally gives birth to the twins, they’re a boy and a girl respectively. The boy is Jisung’s (because I totally see him as a boy dad) and the girl is Minho’s.
Jisung and his son are partners in crime. They’re not just father and son, they’re besties. They enjoy playing together, they’re one and the same. They’re an unstoppabl force. They’re chaos emboded in human bodies.
Minho and his daughter, on the other hand, are like angry cats. They have beef with each other and majority of time she’s bullying her dad or engaging in sarcasm battles against him. Minho often complains about how he as given a devil for a daughter and threatens her to put her into adoption, at which she replies she’ll convince Mama to kick him out of the bed.
(Jisung and the MC struggle to not laugh, because the girl has Minho’s personality, but this is the first time he’s on the receiving end, so he’s mad)
a lot of these ancient greek authors love mentioning how training naked or barely clad weathered and tanned skin (not being tanned all over was seen as feminine and to be avoided). Anyway makes me wonder what the rates of skincancer were like in ancient greece. High among men in particular i imagine.
while i do understand a creators right to have a set vision, it really annoys me when a otome or VN creator decides that a single LO route is the 'golden route and is canon. implies that certain love interests aren't valid
looking up irl docm77 trips me out bc he looks eerile like what my brain thinks my dad looks like until i also look up my dad and realise i'm just gaslighting myself
okay so tumblr wouldn't let me add this to my post with the pictures but here is the little 1 second video my phone made with the 4 minute exposure it did for the star pictures
please this is making me go INSANE you can literally see the stars moving in the sky as the earth rotates. that's how far we moved in FOUR minutes!!!! you can literally see it happen!!!
I think one of the big issues I have with totk is that because they wanted to commit to non-linearity so hard everything feels entirely disconnected. you finish wind temple and get some dialogue lines from the ritos about it, and other quests open up in that area. no one really mentions it outside of rito village besides a couple dialogue lines or newspaper headlines, and some of the major npcs might mention it (like purah etc).
the shrines are all about one thing. even the dungeon puzzles are one-and-done individually, the one that stuck out to me is the room of light and flame in the lightning dungeon (the one with the room you cant get into) because you have to solve a different puzzle in the same dungeon to access that room. that was fufilling! that was interesting!
like theres just no commitment to building off of things? Ive run into a tutorial shrine 30 hours into my playthrough.
tbh they didnt limit the player enough (imo) because half the time there isnt even a "this puzzle has a fairly obvious solution but can be solved another creative way!" its just "use a rocket or climb high enough to paraglide onto the objective and skip the entire puzzle". and the building system is clunky enough that Im not inclined to use it if the easier solution is to just not do the puzzle.
