Cubone was originally supposed to be the the child of Kangaskhan.

The evidence is that the skull of Cubone looks like the head of a Kangaskhan. 

Cubone's signature move is called "bonemerang", a mix between bone and boomerang. Boomerangs are a stereotypical Australian thing, and Khangaskans could be based on kangaroos, stereotypical Australian animals. 

The final piece of evidence is that there is a glitched pokemon in red and blue (kind of like missingno), if you manage to level this pokemon up there's a chance it can evolve into a Kangaskhan. This could imply that Kangaskhan was supposed to have a pre-evolution

Losing friends always hurts, especially when it's a kid you've known all your life, whose seen you at every aspect of yourself that people in your professional and older life will never see, it hurts even more because of something you did, in ending friendships and finding yourself missing them a little and then a lot on some days, it was a closeness they've had since being toddlers, that's a certain kind of special in a small town where you won't know other kids for years thinking that kid will be the only kid you'll ever know because there are no other friends, so you might as well interact with him and then he's gone, maybe he's moved on with his life, and where are you? Who knows you? Who do you *really* KNOW, to the point there's no need for words? How could you ever find that in someone else? Anyways, I love Pokemon and I'll always love my original Kanto kids.

Hi there anon! I think you really captured the essence of gen 1's story (that admittedly was not the best articulated). It's a coming of age story that deals with loss in friendships as the split in friendship between Red and Blue happened not too long before they started their journeys. Like take this scan that @soulsilvers has shown (also go follow her if you haven't already)

Like the fact that this seems to be from Red's perspective and that he wants to repair his friendship with Blue? The feels. And then when you fast forward to gen 2 (HGSS in particular) and you can see how much Blue misses Red and regrets how he treated him (because now he doesn't know if he'll ever see him again). Once again, the feels

That's what makes seeing Red and Blue together as adults in Alola on their honeymoon so touching. To know they did repair their friendship against all odds, not just the whole rift but just against the natural passage of time. It's really sweet/

Chosen’s first powers

(wow i do not like desktop; also im p much just taking these from my discord)

Read @/ a-tale-of-legends post about Red and now I'm thinking about how some of the chosens dealt with their new powers. 

 Like Red just wakes up one morning and is floating 3 inches above his bed. Blue touches a machine in the Lab and the buildings whole power dies (can work for both Melmetal & Zapdos lol) Green gets charged at by a Tarous and throws her hand up and it either goes flying cause telekinesis or it just stops right infront of her and passes out.

Green and Blue would have to tie Red toa rock so he doesn’t fly off lmao.  Green and Blue on ground floor freaking out like "wtf is happening" and Red in the sky belly up just -_-

Ethan can just. Breathe under water and once he finds this out he brings Sliver to some pool of water (beach/a litteraly pool) and then promptly scared the shit out of him when Ethen doesn't come up for several minutes

Kris she touches mud and it turns to pure water. Or she touches water and it turns to ice. Lyra (and possibly Lucas?) accidentally go 10-15 minutes forward or backwards in time. Silver not sure what to do with other than its always like. humid? when he’s around?? not sure.

Barry starts running one place and ends up on the other side of the region (Palkia) you bet he hits a wall like. 6 time out of 10.

if running with the timeline that DPPT happens when they trio is 12, PLA happens 3 years after. so could possibly Dawn’s awakening.

Uh- May already touched lava on her first battle with Groudon so afterwards she just straight up goes swimming in a low lava pool. She comes out perfectly fine just a lil slimy (like she got a second skin on?? Idk how to properly describe it)

And Brenden could probably hear the ocean from anywhere magic conch shell mf

Wally is probably the first to clearly communicate with Rayquaza (prolly also with help from Zienna. I know that's not how to spell her name-)

Also with these three being the first chosens of the modern era they are simultaneously freaking out, but also "this is so cool / this might as well happen" cause this is the 90's. And either Brendan or Wally starts documenting everything they go through.

When news pops up in Johto about Team rockets return, maybe that's when they go visit and see if there are any others like them (As you can tell, none of this is concrete yet)

I've seen stuff about Game/Manga!Oak being mean to Blue -though my knowledge on G1 is limited- so I now have the image of dimensional shenanigan's resulting in Anime!Oak taking Game/Manga!Blue and going "These are my grandsons now"

Hi there anon! I would love for Anime!Oak to take both Game!Blue and Manga!Blue. Anime!Oak is really the only valid Oak in my mind because he actually cares about his grandson and the other Pallet Town Kids (the way he teared up for Ash after he won against Cynthia recently just pulled at my heartstrings in a good way) and doesn't pull blatant favoritism (Game!Oak was particularly bad at this so much so Blue literally calls him out over it in the postgame of FRLG) and just randomly treats everyone like crap (some of Manga!Oak's actions particularly towards Red, Blue, Green and Yellow) But yeah Game!Blue and Manga!Blue both need better grandpas and Anime!Oak is the only one for the job
