Friday Night Flicks: Panera Pop-up
There are two flicks this Friday. The first is an advertisement filmed using a pop-up book as the “set”, the second is a video about the making of the pop-up book used in the ad.       If you would like to watch another “making of” video from Julieta La Valle this weekend, you might try the following. It isn’t a pop-up but does use paper — and a lot of other materials!

𝙼𝙴𝚃𝙰: 𝙽𝙰𝙽𝙲𝚈'𝚂 𝙲𝚄𝚁𝚁𝙴𝙽𝚃 𝙰𝙿𝙰𝚁𝚃𝙼𝙴𝙽𝚃.      as of right now,    nancy is living in a brooklyn apartment owned by her aunt eloise.       it’s a live - work unit,    meaning that the lower unit is used for office space,    while the upper unit is a living area   ––   a one bedroom,   one bathroom space with an open kitchen and dining area that leads into a living space.     there’s a half bathroom with a glass shower and his - and - her sinks,    and the bedroom is very spacious as well,    with windows that show the back of the apartment.    there is also a double door office,    a unique addition to the home.
one.   when one first walks into the apartment they enter the kitchen.      it’s a big space as it is joined by the dining room,     and the cabinets are a deep blue color.     it’s the only pop of color in the space,    as the rest of the appliances are stainless steel and the dining room set is a light brown and white set with matching chairs and bench.      there’s not many decorations in here,    other than the odd paraphernalia from work.    otherwise,    nancy keeps the kitchen and dining area very clean,    for no reason in particular other than she’s very rarely using it.
two.    next comes the living area,    where there is a small flatscreen television snug between two bookshelves that are filled to their brims with novels.    opposite of the television is a couch that she bought for cheap,   as well as a small coffee table made of glass.   nancy has some houseplants that she cares for,    but not many.   the walls are bare in this room,    and things are also kept equally as tidy in here.    her bookshelves are filled with primarily nonfiction and literary criticism,   as well as some books on crime scenes and crime types.    she has one copy of valley of the dolls.
three.     nancy’s bedroom is separated from the rest of the apartment by a door.    inside is a large queen sized bed that stands atop a jagged - patterned rug,    and across from the bed are some sitting chairs.    this is where nancy keeps her main desk,    right across from the windows on the opposite side of the room,    closer to the bed.     this room is her most used room,    as the privacy of her bedroom is something she treasures.     no one has yet to see what her bedroom looks like,   as far as she’s concerned.      besides her bed is a side table on the right side,    where she keeps her revolver.      there’s not much personalization in this room besides what was already here when she moved in,    so one would not really think anyone lived there.    there is also a small closet in the bedroom,   right besides nancy’s desk.
four.    the bathroom is nancy’s messiest room,    with the sink being splattered with bottled products.    in one corner is nancy’s makeup,    splayed around uncaringly.   in another corner is a stack of folded hand towels she forgot to put away.    while she makes sure not to leave any water marks anywhere,    she has a lot of clutter in the area.    the shower is a glass box with a moveable head.   there are no windows in this room.
five.     the final room in the house is a double door office,    with two conjoined office spaces.    nancy suspects this was a random choice of room for eloise,   possibly with her in mind.    here,   nancy has one desktop set up on the righthand side of the office and the other one is just bare.

Maddy’s gifts
Bastien - For her husband, Maddy would give a notebook that she had already filled out, inspired by the Christmas gift that he had given her the year before, the print off of his note the day they met. He forgets some things sometimes, her Bastien, he admitted enough when he asked her to be his girlfriend, so she wanted to make sure that he never forgets the best memories. She wrote them all out from her perspective, all of the year, from New Years in Paris, to him being with her destroying Declan’s cabin and freeing herself, to the happiness she felt over the perinwinkle lights, to when they started trying for Frankie, having Thomas and Valerie to dinner, playing with Diablo, Valentine’s Day bondage, finding out they were pregnant,  the fair, their cute easter, going to the site and having an Italian dinner by Chef Bastien, chaos at prom, finding out about Frankie’s invisible power, how proud she was that he was always protecting his family, like when they took care of Abe and those people that tried to keep them apart, New Zealand, how he was her inspiration and strength when she told off Livvy at Willem’s party, how she loved having him close when they recorded the song together, their anniversaries and then everything in between. The last pages were all about Frankie, how she loved seeing him with their girl, how they were going to be the best of friends, and how she honestly wanted to give him another soon just to keep that smile on his face. As well as a new pair of classic black and white converse with ‘Wandering Man’ stitched onto the outer sides. Frankie - A charm for the bracelet she’s putting together to give Frankie when she’s older, her first Christmas, and plenty of cute Christmas themed onesies. Delta&Frank - While they were renovating the basement for the baby, they came across a lot of disturbing things. Maddy found a human skull. A little digging in New Orleans blackmarket things found her someone who would make it into an exploded skull. Valerie - Pearl bracelet with white gold clasp, and a sexy little number for when she inevitably gets her body back. Thomas - A Bag End diorama, showing Bilbo in his study, since Thomas loves it so much. Scout - Industrial style lamp with moveable arms Chip - 1960s Pilots Helmet  and a tactical changing mat. Ray - Crocodile Ring for the same reason as the wives The Wives - Matching necklaces to remind them that the swamps will always remember them, no matter where they are. All six Laveau kids - Bear playmats, bear rattle, collection of soft books Ellie - Vintage 90s Disney Mini-Dress Willem - Spanish Coins from a Museum, fated to the 1600s, believed to be washed up from a shipwreck. Figaro - IT mouthpiece Dale - A sweatshirt. Clopin & Kuzco - Bags upon bags of their favorite food being sent by airdrop to their house. She would have gone through the Funkytown portal but with the curses, it was hard to get anything through. On hold because they’re popping out so often. Piper - Every Queen needs a crown - the moon and binding will all be gold. Victor - Vintage Autopsy saw, curved bonesaw, wire-saw. Zero - A musical theater scratch poster and an ‘Easily Distracted by Dogs’ t-shirt. Koda - A new coffee table for his place, just waiting in NOLA for when the curse is over.

Halifax paper engineers pops-up iconic landmarks with greeting cards
Giving everyday sights a pop of imagination is at the centre of Brad Hartman’s work.
“I just enjoy making the regular things that we see every day a little bit more magical,” said Hartman.
Hartman is an expert at pop-up, or 3-D, art -- a skill he learned from watching Youtube tutorials online.
“You kind of just get a bunch of paper, get some scissors, get some glue and just start folding. You find out what works and what doesn’t work.”
A self-described “paper engineer,” Hartman renders sheets of paper into a visual, three-dimensional feast of moveable parts and objects, which he says is mostly trial and error.

“You have a very basic pop-up structure on the first draft. You’re gluing and adding bits on top of it and seeing if that will work inside the confines of the closed page.”
Operating under the moniker “bardbardbard,” his sought-after work is even featured in its own 3-D book called “Pop-Up Halifax,” which highlights some of the city’s most iconic locations.
“The Public Gardens page took me over a month to put together,” he said. “I never thought I’d actually ever have my own published pop-up book, so it feels pretty cool.”
His latest project, which features the legendary Open Mic House on Agricola Street, has a lot of people talking.

“There’s about 40 or 50 people illustrated in there and they are all people who I’ve met at the house."
"Some of them told me it brought back good feelings. And that’s all you can really ask for when you put some art out into the world.”
Hartman says the holiday season is one of his busiest times of the year -- when he’ll be launching new products he’s been working on since June.
“I’ve made a Lake Banook winter skating scene, but all the figures skating on the pond are geese in toques and scarves which is pretty cute.”

SOME FAMOUS AND INTERESTING POP UP BOOKS
Yoojin Kim is quite well know in the pop up art community for her work. She has done several childrens books and this is one of my favourites. I really loved how detailed the pop ups in this book are. I also loved the color scheme used. I particularly loved how interactive the book was, especially the information under leaves and the moveable frogs and spiders that were hiding under vegetations.

Windows Media Player Error C00d1199
The Zune HD was released lately and finally, some customers have bought them. In this article we are going to take a closer look at what customers have to say about this new portable media player. Some say that it will rival the highly sought after iPod touch. In which go as far as saying that it'll replace the iPod to become the most popular portable media player. Apple iPods are still the dominant media player on the actual marketplace. While offerings from Creative and Microsoft and competing, the ipod model lineup is still the leader, with great quality and warranty service. Undertake it ! go to any Apple Store to get help utilizing your iPod Nano or other iPod Tablet. It's also easy to buy a long warranty, AppleCare. Proceed on the playlist in order to have made and tagged crackerinfo . Be sure that all of the box right beside the song titles are checked so as not to miss out something. At the bottom among the page, carbohydrates find the Burn Disc button. Click it once and then wait for the menu to pop away. Select MP3 CD and click on the Burn tab. After burning the CD, open the files on the Windows Explorer and the copy them right into the hard drive of your pc. First of all, in the event that you have the right codec installed in this type of file. There are a lot types of media types of files. Each of them needs a certain codec set up in your PC in order for these phones play successfully. data rescue pro crack can find them easily over the net. The Zune HD rrs incredibly similar towards the iPod Touch in regards to function. End up being predominantly a moveable MP3 and Video player. It can also play HD radio stations, a feature that today is quite rare among media players. The iPod is Wi-Fi enabled permits the users to wirelessly browse internet and download songs. System has 128 MB of RAM by using a storage capacity of 8 GB. High definition tv a non-removable Lithium Ion battery (5 hrs. video, 22 hours music playback). blufftitler crack weighs 120 gm and measures 110 mm x 62 mm x 8 millimeters. The device has solid glass surface and also resistant to scratches. The second step is get the correct version of all corrupted dynamic link libraries. So now that the dependencies are up known and the windows media player core files are up at this point and working is it successfully on the surface? Yes, it is. But you'll need one last step. You will need to clean all of wmp's temporary files, recent file history and cache. Method you are fully aware of for confident you remove any file that caused the crime. So a person buy the Zune? It is a bit bulkier, along with the Marketplace is lacking in that less costly . no videos for that big Zune screen about 2mil tracks compared to Apple's 5.5 mil. But relating to the plus side, it's hardier and fits nicely in the hand, offers great sound and video quality, its media up/download and Marketplace software is user-friendly, that larger screen is just beautiful. spotify crack 'd say it's about a 8 out of 10 inside book, and worth considering for anyone who isn't a mp3 player fanatic.

There’s a cricket on my growing nose, says Pinocchio, or in this case says Пиноккио as this pop-up book in our special collections was published in Moscow, Russia, in 2004. Even if your Russian language comprehension isn’t that strong, you’ll love the many pop-ups and illustrations of this classic tale of lies and their consequences….

Sana had taken her seat at the front of the class beside her best friends, Hyuna and May. Her friends handed her a snack they had been raving about all week from the vending machine.
Popping one of the cookie balls in her mouth she looks at the schedule on the board. It seemed as per usual, except there was a long work period in the part of the day.
“They are good,” Sana says, pleasing her friends with her answer.
“Well I guess this could be a new weekly treat for us!” May says stealing the snack bag from Sana, taking half the contents of the bag in her hand. Sana rolls her eyes and turns to her friend Hyuna who was doodling in her own world.
“Hey Earth To Hyuna!” Sana says, tapping her pen down near her page. She successfully gets her friends' attention.
“What project are we working on today?” Sana asks, worried she forgot one.
“Probably a new one, and looks like it is in pairs.” She says pointing to the numbers going down the chalkboard, 13, the exact split of the class.
“Damn it, I’m the one left out this time aren’t I?” Sana asks exasperated.
“Yes you are, sucks to suck doesn’t it Sana” May happily calls from her other side.
“Hey don’t use my sayings against me!” She cries back with a pouty face. May brings her hand up and pats her chin.
“I’m sorry my baby.” She says bringing a pout to her own face. Rolling her eyes she then slouches in her chair, upset over having to find a new partner.
It normally meant she would have to work with one of the dumb kids, or the super shy kids, which never made a good duo for her since she already was shy.
The only other people she would be willing to work with are Huening Kai and Taehyun. Although Taehyun is pushing it, due to her big fat crush on him. Huening Kai would definitely be the better of the two. But that wasn’t going to happen, the two were always a pair. The two are seen together all the time, probably due to them both being in a boy group.
The first half of the day goes by without any hitches. But now it is the the fourth quarter of the day Sana is getting nervous about her partner. She never normally liked working with other people, but she knew that it wasn’t an option in this class since the teacher was very strict about it.
Her friends trade places so Sana is on the far right, and May is in the middle. This allows the two to be first to pick. The teacher had always done the same picking process, starting from the first desk she moves like a snake asking for your partner. This is probably why most of the shy people sat in the very back left corner. If it weren’t for her friends Sana would be sitting with them too.
“Well students, I will explain the new project and then you will get all paired up.” The teacher says gaining the attention of the class. “You are to make a presentation about a pop culture icon, and explain the effects they had on their industry, their culture, and any ideas or causes they believe in. A full description and outline will be found online. This will be due next week on Friday.” She ends her speech and moves to the chalkboard, calling out the first student's name.
The project seems easy enough, there are plenty of options, and plenty that you knew a lot about. You had no idea who would be your partner so you planned on passing once it got to you.
“Hyuna and I are a pair,” May calls out after her name is called. The teacher writes their names and moves on to Huening Kai who sits directly behind you all along with Taehyun.
“Huening Kai?” The teacher yells out.
“Han and I are a pair,” he calls out to the teacher. Sana’s head spins around in confusion to Huening Kai, not taking the chance to look at Taehyun.
From beside Sana the two girls giggle trying not to look at her. “What’s so funny?” Sana asks, laying her down on her desk looking at her friends' faces.
“Nothing, just thank us later, and thank Huening as well.” Hyuna says winking at Sana.
“What are you talking about?” She asks, confused.
“Taehyun?” The teacher calls out. His face is red as he gets ready to reply.
“Ah I’m pairing up with Sana” he says, Sana head turns around this time going to Taehyun. His face was tomato red, which is the colour Sana’s would soon be.
“Your welcome” Hyuna and May say as Sana turns back and sets her head on the desk.
“I hate both of you” she says annoyed, yet almost thankful, not that she’d let her friends know that.
“You won’t be saying that when you start snogging next week” Hyuna replies quietly.
“Two things, I won’t be snogging him, and you need to stop reading Harry Potter, who says snogging!” Sana whisper yells over to her.
“Oh shove off” Hyuna says successfully making them all laugh.
Not even ten minutes later Sana is standing beside Taehyun in the hallway off to the library. Both silent as they walk together. As they enter the library Taehyun makes for the computers, but stops as he feels an arm grab his upper arm.
He softly turns to loon at her, her hand is pointing to a part of the library he’d never ventured. “It quiet back there and I have a laptop we can use instead” she says pulling his arm lightly towards the direction where she wants to go.
Normally that spot was occupied by the trio, but the other two had gone to another part of the library letting Sana know that it’s all for her and Tae. As they pass through shelves of books, he noticed they are in the historical fiction section. The one section that hardly ever gets used, except for history projects, but only when you have to have a book reference.
No one is in the aisles, Sana finds the back corner and let’s go of Taehyun. She sets her bag down, she grabs the shelf that is on wheels and moves it up. She moves her arm in a way that tells him to go inside. Behind the last tall book shelf there is a rather larger gap. There were cushions and some supplies obviously left by the trio from other projects.
“We found this spot two years ago, be glad you’re the fourth person in here.” She says sitting down on the cushion, pulling out her laptop.
“It’s nice back here” he says following along and sitting on a cushion.
“We’ve slowly been bringing things back here to make it better, we’re just trying not to get caught and have it cleared out.” Sana says looking at him.
“They should make this an actual book nook, it’s comforting” he says sliding the cushion over to beside her.
“Yeah that can happen after we graduate, for now this is our spot” she says to him, he smiles at her and holds her gaze. The two hold eye contact for a moment before they both realize what they are doing.
“Ah who would you like to the project on?” He asks her leaning back against the wall.
“Maybe Bangtan, most people will do Western Artists so maybe we can have a project no one else is doing” she says fiddling with her keyboard. “If that is alright with you” she asks meeting his gaze once again.
“Yeah, I could always see if I could ask them a few questions” he says.
“Oh yeah I forgot your from the same company” she says smiling. “How is your group doing right now any way?”
“We’re doing good, We are writing for our bee comeback for next year.” He says with a smile on his face. “I’ll give you a hint on one song, you know new rules?” She nods her head eagerly, “ well I suppose I wrote a sequel to it.” He smiles when he sees her clap her hands in excitement.
“So it’s either, old rules, more rules, broken rules or maybe no rules!” She says happily, “you know new rules is by far my favourite song of yours right?” He nods, though he doesn’t tell her he wanted to make the song for her, since he had always heard her singing it around the school.
By the start of the week they were both done the project, they were just waiting on Bts to send them a blurb for their presentation. Now that they were done they spent the work periods in the nook alone. Often times talking about his group and your dreams.
He couldn’t help his feelings for Sana as she told him about why she wanted to be a teacher. She looked so happy talking about it, which made the smile grow on his face. Their moods seems to be based solely on the others mood.
As Sana finished her story she noticed his genuine smile on his face looking at her. This made her blush and turn away looking at the bookshelf in front of them.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” She asks him without looking at him.
It is now his turn to blush, “i think its sweet how passionate you are about it, it makes me smile” he says putting his hand on her knee.
This makes her turn back to him, her eyes meet his. They both slowly start leaning in without thinking. As they close in her eyes flutter closed as she waits for impact. He takes this as a chance to move his body to get a better angle, his right arm is holding him against the wall, his left hand going to the back of her head.
Their lips hardly touch, for a couple seconds they hover over each others lips. Gaining confidence Taehyun moves his face forward enough for your lips to be fully planted against each other.
Slowly their lips move together into a kiss, an awkward one since both of them have a big smile on their face. Once their smiles tame down they continue softly kissing in the back of the library.
Breaking apart they look each other in the eyes, Sana breaks into a fit giggles seeing his silly smile on his face.
“I know I should take you out dates before I ask you this, but would you like to be my girlfriend?” He asks moving his hand from the back of her head and down to her cheek.
She nods and moves in to peck his lips, holding it for a moment before moving back. “Yes, I’d like to be your girlfriend Tae” she says putting her head onto his shoulder. His head moves and rests on hers.
“Oh my god they were snogging May!” Hyuna’s voice comes from the other side of the bookshelf. Huening Kai, Hyuna, and May, all pop up from the ground and move to the moveable shelf, peering over to see the two. The couple blushes, she hides her face in his chest as he puts his face into her hair.
“They’re so cute!” They all say high fiving each other.

Izo and Ace
Ace quickly noticed how diverse the Whitebeard Pirates were, from Fishman to Devil’s Fruit user, to people with a big ego, but also a big heart. Among all the different people were one that stood out the most to him. The commander of the 16th division, Izo. Never had Ace seen a male look so feminie and gracious, while also completely comfortable in whothey were. Sure, Izo could be scary, the man was sadistic, but Ace was still fascniated by him.
Not that he showed it at first. No, his goal was to take the head of Whitebeard and he was stubborn. It took a few months before he slowly realized that taking Whitebeard’s head would do him no good. So after his talk with Marco, Ace had finally accepted that he belonged on the Moby Dick.
It tok a while, but soon he was comfortable in the role of one of the youngest crew member. He also became one of the pranksters and was often compared with Haruta and Thatch, the two master pranksters. To Ace, pranking was all about hearing the laughter of his family, it was addictive to him. Happiness was something that was his guilty pleasure.
Even so, he kept finding himself wondering about Izo. The man was not an open book, but it wasn’t like he didn’t want to talk. Ace often saw him talking with Thatch, Haruta and Marco, which led him to conclude that the three of them were good friends of Izo. Those three also happened tobeAce’s best friends here, so it would be natural if Ace became friends with Izo.
Having decided, Ace walked to the room of the 16th division commander. He would at least give it a try and so far he had have no problem in talking with Izo. They were on good terms and all, but there was still a barrier between them, which kept Ace from calling Izo a friend.
“Come in.” The deep voice of Izo sounded through the door, as Ace had knocked. The teen entered the room and was taken aback on how big it seemed and small at the same time. Besides the fact that Ace had never seen a room like this, with a dressing table, filled with make-up and perfume, a bed with fluffy pillows and a soft blanket. There were also a huge closet, a mirror on it and next to it, shelves with shoes. Next to the dressing table, was a moveable wall. In the middle of the room was a small table, surrounded by pillows,on one Izo was seated.
“Hello Ace. What can I do for you today?” Izo asked, while gesturing Ace to come and sit with him. Closing the door behind him, Ace went to Izo, took off his boots and sat across the commander. He smiled his bright signature smile, making Izo give him a soft one back.
“I was hoping to get to know you a little better.” Ace scratched the back of his head, not knowing how else to tell the other why he sought him out. Izo eyed him, while sipping on some tea.
A soft chuckled let him, as Izo placed the cup down. “Is that so? Well, why don’t we just chat and telleach other a few things about ourself?” Izo suggested. “Do you want a cupof tea?”
Ace had been prepared that Izo also woud like to know something about him, so he nodded at the suggestion. “Yes please.” Ace answered to the last question and Izo poured some for him. Normally Ace didn’t drink much tea, but sometimes he did. Mostly out of politeness, but also because it was far better tasting than coffee was.
“Thank you.” Ace smiled, as Izo handed him the cup. Izo raised a brow. Sure, he’d noticed Ace was polite, but to actually experiencee it like this was different. Izo had not expected such politeness from a pirate at all and he was curious to know who had taught Ace to be polite and why. They knew by now that Ace had been raised - more or less - by mountain bandits, so his politeness didn’t make sense.
“You’re welcome. Say Ace, where and why did you learn manners? I haven’t come across many pirates with manners and not even to your level.” Izo was way too curious about it.
Ace grinned slight embarrassed. “Well, a woman named Makino taught me, after I asked her. She is the kindest person on earth and her patience with me was also what helped on my temper. She owns a bar in a villae on the island I grew up on.” He smiled fondly at the memory of Makino and all she had done for them. “You see, there was a certain person I needed to thank and I wanted to do it right and respectfully. Somehow the politeness stuck.”
Izo smiled. It was a cute story and he liked that Ace had actually asked for these lessons himself. that showed character. “And did you manage to thank that person?”
“I did.” Ace didn’t want to tell right now that he was on good terms with Shanks, a rival to Whitebeard. “I’ve heard that manners are important to you. How come?” It was now Ace’s time to get answers that popped into his mind.
Izo took anoher sip ofhis tea, before answering. “I grew up with being taught manners and proper behavior, so it’s partly a trauma from my childhood. However, I also belive that you get more with being polite than rude. Even towards animals. It’s why I think it’simportant to have manners. It’s also a way to be humble and some people really need to learn how to be humble.”
Ace nodded. He’d noticed that he got far more when being polite, than being rude. It hadn’t occured to him that others had learned it while growing upand it was a natural thing for them to do. “Wait trauma?” Ace blinked, as the words had fully settled.
“You think you’re the only one on this ship with childhood trauma?” Izo teased him. “Manners were beaten into me. That’s why it’s a trauma.” He explained, without going deeper into it. Ace hummed at that. They talked more about things, like the life on the Moby Dick, how Izo joined and why. Ace told about how he recruited his crew and their adventures.
Ace really enjoyed himself, having gotten two cups of tea and only once fallen asleep. He liked Izo. It didn’t matter that Ace had a feeling that some things shared here, could be used against him later. However, he hadn’t touched the question that burned in his mind.
“There’s something about you that makes me wonder...” Ace started. Izo hummed as to tell Ace to continune and so he did. “It’s about your appearance. You aren’t dressing like a pirate or man, you even use make-up and while you look handsome and graceful, I can’t understand how you can do it, without feeling like it’s wrong. I’m not saying it’s wrong, but it’s not how men usual dresses, so ...” He wanted to make sure that Izo knew there was nothing wrong with the way he dressed, but also make Izo understand that Ace felt like it should cause insecurity.
Izo chuckled lightly. “It wasn’t always easy, Ace. However, this is me, this is how I feel the most comfortable and when I started to show and believe it, everyone around me just accpeted it. Sure, I’ve been teased about it, but I’ve talked with Oyaji and Marco about how I felt about it and they encouraged me to go on and also made sure to give me positive feedback. When others heard and saw that Oyaji and Marco accepted me as I was, so did they.”
Ace listened with interest. So both Whitebeard and Marco had helped Izo through the rough start of showing people who he was? That was a nice thought and it eased some of the fears Ace still harbored.
The rest of the evening both talked about everythign and nothing. Ace felt more relaxed around Izo and knew that he would consider Izo as a friend too. It was an odd feeling to him, but a good one. Befriending Izo was probably a good thing. Ace also knew that despite Izo having a reputation of using knowledge and secrets as blackmail, Ace could also trust Izo to never use things that made Ace uncomfortable on a deep personal level against him. Izo had indeed morals and honor.
