Under Control - jphm4900 (Colombia) [2022] GLITCH.ART.BR_2022 Glitch Art International Online Exhibition

La fotografía original fue tomada con una cámara compacta analógica Canon Prima AF-9S, empleando el rollo Kodak Ultramax 400. La escena capta el momento en el que la banda estadounidense The Strokes, se presenta en el Festival Estéreo Picnic en Colombia, el día 27 de marzo de 2022, mientras tocan en vivo la canción Under Control. Se usó el programa Processing, mediante el proceso generativo de la modulación de frecuencia, con la configuración de un espacio de color en RGB, creando las particulares características de la distorsión en la imagen, posteriormente, con un dispositivo iPhone 6s Plus se editaron los colores y se agregó el fondo de la imagen con la técnica de slit-scan.Para esta obra artística, la idea principal era captar un momento único como lo es un concierto y aún más, después de la suspensión y aplazamientos de eventos masivos debido a la pandemia covid-19, a nivel mundial. Adicionalmente, el aspecto de emplear herramientas análogas y digitales para generar esta composición, resalta la importancia de la búsqueda de transmitir un conjunto de estéticas visuales poco convencionales.

In 1816 Georg Friedrich Schinkel designed the stage setting for a production of Mozarts "Die Zauberflöte". The published print of the design for the hall of stars of the Queen of the Night's palace graced the cover of a recording of the opera by Herbert von Karajan. My father gifted me this recording when I was a kid. I could dive into this image for hours, mesmerized by the music and the powerful image on the cover. Here are some images of alternative "Zauberflöte" stage designs. The last image is Schinkel's rendering of the Hall of Stars.... Am Mittwoch 16.11.2022 halte ich einen Digitalen Vortrag an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste Wien zum Thema “Der Zweifel als Potential für Lehrpersonen im Zeitalter der Postdigitalität”. Im Rahmen der Vortragsreihe #Didaktik, kuratiert von Elke Krasny und Maren Polte gemeinsam mit Sophie Lingg und Helena Schmidt. Veranstaltet vom Fachbereich Kunst und Bildung an der Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien und dem Studiengang Art Education an der Hochschule der Künste Bern. Mein Vortrag handelt von den Folgen der Post-Digitalität für uns als Vermittler_innen und Pädagog_innen, die sich neuen Herausforderungen und Möglichkeiten gegenüber sehen, während systemisch meist noch an bestehendem festgehalten wird. Auf welche Unwägbarkeiten stoßen wir und welche Potentiale liegen in ihnen?
