Famous Pumpkin Pie

Yields 2 pies, 10 servings each

1 can Pumpkin Purée

3 cups evaporated milk

1.5 cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 tsp salt

2 tsp ground cinnamon

1 tsp ground ginger

.5 tsp ground cloves

2 unbaked 9in deep dish pie shells

I've never tasted pumpkin in a sweet recipe so far. I've long told myself that I would one day bake something accordingly but for some reason never got to it—I tend to assume it was mostly because I fear disliking it and having to peddle some bizarre confection to the next unsuspecting Frenchman (and potentially sully my excellent rapports with half of the neighbourhood indefinitely). The struggle is real.

life hard sometime but my mum and i had a walk in the forest yesterday and the weather was beautiful the sun was shining the sky was clear and we filled our pockets with chestnuts and foraged bay boletes and then my mum made a meal out of them with the pumpkin she bought in the shop where they sell vegetables from the city garden and i experienced autumn to the fullest i think

got V8 to Consume Veggies but after first bottle of strawberry-banana remembered i’m allergic to bananas, powered through with minimal gastrointestinal distress, got peach-mango this time, it’s meh but alright especially once i throw some apple juice in, but either way it’s the literal exact color of pumpkins so i keep subconsciously expecting pumpkin flavor when i go to drink it and im not sure if i’m disappointed or not.
