Propaganda for Campal:

They're two people who have spent their whole lives together and are hopelessly devoted and loyal to each other. While some people do read their relationship as strictly romantic or platonic, it has way more going for it through a QP lense! They've been lifelong friends, and in their culture are essentially non-romantic life partners as a necromantic wizard and his bodyguard/champion. It's actually strictly taboo for them to engage in a romantic relationship because of this. But nonetheless they remain close to and devoted to each other, going so far as to use necromancy to keep each other close after one of them dies, and then going on to share a body until it becomes physically impossible to do so any longer. So they burn both of their souls to merge together into one new entity, creating a walking metaphor for queerplatonic partnership. They endlessly support and encourage each other, they're a perfect team when it comes to both peaceful study and combat. They know each other inside and out, long before they had to share a body, they were inseperable. They're two halves of one whole, literally, and nothing about that intense closeness and partnership is written to be romantic! Especially because other, similar characters in the series ARE written to read as romantic, and there's a distinct tonal difference to those relationships! Basically, they're two peas in a pod, two halves of a whole, clearly not quite platonic with it, but certainly not romantic either.

The author of The Locked Tomb has a long term queerplatonic partner! She even dedicates the books to him and signs those dedications with a <> (which is a Homestuck reference, denoting a non-romantic partnership that a number of fans associate with QPPs!). You can feel the influence of her own experience with queerplatonic attraction in a lot of the series, but it really comes through especially in Cam and Pal!!

The evil version of goldami. They perfectly enable the worst in each other. In Cami, Gold has someone he can follow mindlessly, the one and only thing he has done throughout his life. At the same time, she's his saviour, the one who pulled him out of the shadow world with her magic and let him taste the real world, at least for just some time. He's completely devoted to her. In Gold, Cami has someone "just like her" (an unfeeling peon, what she pretends to be) who she knows for sure will never abandon her or leave her alone (literally, he's always standing next to her) she doesn't need to work on herself, show herself, heal, or any of the sort. She also has someone who will let her play out her deepest controlling tendencies and will do everything she wants exactly how she wants it. They're fucked up.

they're one of those couples were everyone knows they're a couple except for them. they're OBLIVIOUSSSS to their own feelings and the fact they look like a couple (they don't know what couples do). gold is always following cami like a lap dog. he loves the human world so he's always showing her stuff excitedly and sharing his food. cami only trusts gold to rely villain work on, she thinks he's the only capable one and the only one who sees her vision of how stuff should be done. they GET each other like no one else, they don't even have to talk. they do NOT get social cues though, they're both extremely confused together. also the amadeus camp is their special place 💚🤍 artistic rendition of a normal day with these two (Submitted by chocottang).

Btw once the semifinals of my QPR tournament start, I will be opening submissions for the Transgender Swag in Books tournament. We're about to enter the quarterfinals, so this isn't too far off. don't know if I"m doing better per se. but it's a new day. I have dance tonight and I've never wanted to go less, etc. etc. etc. time to uhhhh hmm draw yeah that's all I can do

#just thinking thoughts... #it's so interesting looking back on the illustrations I've posted about the ballroom blorbos #because every time there's been huge changes to their characters #visually and like. in terms of personality #the themes are coming together which is insane #I didn't used to be this kind of person. I used to put plot before thematic material. #unfortunately birdmen completely rewired my entire concept of storytelling. you know how it is #and I mean. the plot follows naturally from the themes... #if I know that I'm using the tournament setting for ballroom dancing as a parallel to the manga industry #where you can win and lose at making art #the critiques and therefore the plot comes really easily #that you have to be a certain way in order to even qualify for the rat race you know #and so what if you have artistic goals or a sense of identity that you're not willing to compromise. what then. #(this is about gender roles and dancing as a trans man who will never be able to gain access to surgeries and hormones.) #((this is also about being unwilling to pander to the anime dudebros nor the fujoshis by refusing to objectify any of the characters)) #and if I am using the partnered dance as a way to discuss qprs #where they are in a committed relationship that is not friendship or lovers and is not inherently better or worse than those types #the plot from that perspective also follows naturally #mumbling to myself. sorry for the spoilers everyone.

My friend wrote a fanfiction detailing their platonic relationship from childhood friends to spouses. It is over 1 million words long. Pls he needs this

my good friend sunny wrote over 1million words of fanfiction about them that was so good it permanently altered my brain chemistry. also i think the feat of over 1mil words is worth the win (:

Ranboo and Tubbo are canonically married, semi-canonically platonically so. Tubbo and Tommy have known each other for years, and have an understanding of each other that no one else does. Tommy and Ranboo went through a very awkward and begrudging beginning of their friendship, but Ranboo would go on to make Tommy's grave when he died.

I want to start off by stressing that these 3 are characters and are not at all connected to the real world creators that portrayed them aside from having the same name.

c!Ranboo and c!Tubbo were canonically married, with the nature of their marriage being largely ambiguous and up for interpretation! They live together in a mansion with their adopted child, Michael, a tiny baby piglin! c!Tommy was never an official part of their marriage, but the three spent so much time together(before the series' writing took a very unfortunate turn due to behind the scenes stuff) that they might as well have been a qpr polycule! It is confirmed that c!Ranboo(an 8'5 foot tall enderman hybrid) can only look 2 people directly in the eyes with it being STRONGLY implied those 2 people were c!Tommy and c!Tubbo! Their relationship didn't get as much time as it needed due to the series's unfortunate downturn near the end, but while it was there, it was a very comforting, very tender relationship between 3 traumatized young queer teens who were their for one another through their journeys in healing from their various traumas. Also one time c!Tommy and c!Ranboo got high together in a tiny smoke box they made(they also met when Ranboo hit him on the head with a giant flower. An allium, to be specific!).

OK SO. theodore is an angel from heaven disguising himself as a human on earth. cecily knows this, elijah does not. theodore met cecily shortly after coming down to earth and fell head over heels in love with her like its insane how much this man loves his wife. shes literally the only reason he stays on earth. they are both best friends with elijah, whos a priest and is REEEAAAALLLYY fucking repressed and so deep in the closet its ridiculous. hes convinced himself that its actually really normal heterosexual friendship stuff to be completely infatuated with your boy best friend. he thinks hes being really covert but cecily and theodore both are aware of it. cecily thinks its really funny and theodore just finds it really endearing :) if youve ever seen singin in the rain they basically have lie the same dynamic as don kathy and cosmo its great i love them

FABLE NON CANON SHIP TOURNAMENT

What is this blog?

this is a blog that will run polls with competing non-canon ships to see which one is the most preferred by people. Its a standard poll/tournament blog.

I am one person and cannot think of every non canon ship possible, so if you want to see a ship in this tournament you'll have to submit it yourself. The people submitting ships will be kept anonymous- even from me.

You can submit your ships using this form

DO NOT SEND ME SHIP SUBMISSIONS IN MY ASK BOX

Rules

You can submit ships that are queerplatonic, polyamourous, romantic

You can submit both the romantic and queerplatonic ships of the same pairing (Ex: romantic Raetross and qpr Raetross)

Do not submit ships that the CC's are uncomfortable with- the only one i can think of , besides the obvious incest ones, are Ulysses and Aax

If i do accidentally add a ship that CC's are uncomfortable with, let me know. I am only aware of so much

Other Information

I am only one person running this blog, if i make mistakes, which are bound to happen since this is my first time running a blog like this, alert me, through dms, or send an ask. I may not respond right away- my life does not revolve around tumblr.

I'll only tag the main posts i make with Fable SMP tag, so that i dont clutter the tags. if you want to actually see the polls/keep updated, i suggest you follow this blog. If you have any questions send me an ask. Again, this is my first time, there are things im going to miss.

Ill stop accepting submissions around march 11th- that gives you three weeks to submit ships. then ill post the bracket overview- which will show which ships will be against which ships. The actual polls will start around may 16th, one a day and the polls last a week.
