Your fics are probably one of the few things keeping me in the fandom now and I honestly have a lot of questions so I hope you don't mind. Since the Halloween event where Minhyeok turns into a devil by Satan kissing him to transfer a bit of his power into him when we pull for white hair Minhyeok, he is said to be in Satan's camp. And after my ask and you said something about dying and going back to being alive again, do you think a pact/contract/seal from a specific king is needed for Minhyeok to turn into a devil and become that king's servant? Because I just think it can't be all that Minhyeok can turn into a devil only by just dying like there has to be something else like with Companion.

If he becomes a devil he already has to serve a king he makes a contract and be in Hell without coming to Earth to his family anymore (I think he will live with Ppyong cause the red lump did make that offer). Also after becoming a devil will Minhyeok still gonna be a simp for Raon? Will their relationship turn more toxic (that sounds very likely)? Or will he just put himself in the same hole as Raon like other devils before getting out like them? What would the Companion's opinions on the whole thing? Will they just gonna cut ties with Minhyeok and Raon at some point? Without Companion being in their right mind anymore after their angel's transformation, Minhyeok and Raon are for sure gonna become even more of a mess.

Sorry for asking too much but I think fiction that makes you question a lot is great, it keeps you there and contemplates, your fics do it for me so they're really amazing.

Hehehehe it's a habit of mine to read things that are lacking or very disappointing and just, turn them into reader inserts and also tweak them in a way that would be enjoy for me. You have no idea how many other obscure webcomics, manga and other things I've did that with. It's fun for me, and it's fun to just, drag people into the pit I'm in when there's little Fandom. It's fun! I'm serious when I say I write for real obscure things.

Hmm let's see, I have an floating around in my head. If Minhyeok has the intention of becoming a demon, and he makes a contract for that to happen, I feel the other devil kings will make it a bitch for him to become one. Minhyeok is about the only string that's keeping Ra-on from fully converting into Hell, and with his presence here, he serves as a constant reminder to Ra-on about how much he wants to come home.

Now, onto the contract making with the devil kings and how that would go.

Sure, the easy solution would just be give Minhyeok what he wants and fully turn him into a demon, but, again, the thought of just giving him what he wants without at least some entertainment on their end just isn't in their nature. So, if Minhyeok wants to become a demon, he'll probably have to injure himself for it. You know, as proof of Minhyeok's conviction. What they weren't expecting was Minhyeok's capacity of self-harm for the sake of taking care of others that are in very clear distress. He coddles Ra-on and it's infuriating, and what makes it even more irritating is how Minhyeok is willing to run himself to the ground to take care of everyone. Certainly, Ra-on takes priority, but given the chance, he would not say no to the Companion also shutting themselves up in his house.

So anyway, Minhyeok's decision to become a devil is meant to be the peak of his self destructive tendencies. He's willing to throw away all of his humanity and be forever bound to Hell if it meant he can take care of his childhood friends in that moment.

I feel that originally, Minhyeok only approached Satan with this idea since he shared power with him once, so his chances of getting something out of this were a little higher than anyone else. But then the other devils hear about it, and then they're all hit with the fact that, depending on who Minhyeok ends up serving, that's the devil Ra-on is going to be spending time with the most.

So... yeah, most of them are probably going to fight over who gets to be the one to turn Minhyeok into a devil. Which is funny to me.

And then I'll probably do a twist of irony where Lucifer ends up winning somehow, probably talking some sense to him like "Do you think, in the state they're in now, that they would recognize you if you were to become a devil?" So the deal changes from Minhyeok turning into a devil, and more someone that ends up healing real fast. But then he dies, because the Companion is ruthless in their berserk state. And so Minhyeok is revived. But he dies again. Then is revived. It happens, over and over again, and it makes one question how many times can a human be revived by a devil without said human being unaltered. Either way, the idea here is that each revival changes Minhyeok a little bit until it can't be reversed.

In the end, Minhyeok gets what he wants, at the expense of his ability to go home, to go back to everything that he knows.

So anyway, yeah he's still coddling Ra-on on hand and foot. And, of course, without the Companion to be the voice of reason and hand of of discipline, the dynamic that Ra-on and Minhyeok have would devolve into something a whole lot worse. It goes from "let's go back home when everything's over," to "Just tell me what to do, and I'll do it, no matter where you are." Completely and utterly sucked into the world they're building for themselves, indulgent in all their worst vices.

Alrighty alrighty, what would the Companion think of it all, after everything they've been through. The funny part about it is that the Companion was ready to cut ties way back at the start. They gave themselves a deadline and if things don't start to change at least a little bit by that time, then they're packing their bags and leaving. But, of course, Hell comes and swallows them after the angels come in, so that put a damper on things.

The Companion is stubborn and wants things to go their way. They want for all of them to go home first, and then continue with the plan with cutting ties, because at least then they're not at risk of losing their lives to an angel attack. So if Minhyeok shows signs of missing the human world, of missing his family and wanting to go home, then they can breathe for a moment, regardless if he's a devil or not. The chances of Minhyeok going home are minuscule, but they're just as small as the Companion going home.

So, really, the only way for the Companion to truly cut ties with Minhyeok and Ra-on is when they imply they're happier here than the human world, when they do things that show how much they're slowly starting to devalue the human world they're born in. When all they're focusing on is the flaws of the human world, and how nice this world of Hell is, that's when the Companion just cut ties. No warning, no prompt on their part. They're just done. They want nothing to do with them anymore. There's no point.

But yeah, that be the idea. Seems like something fun and angsty.

Also, I'm kind of sleepy, so if there's any information here that's contradictory, whoooops.

Cale learns enough magic to summon and control flames on a small scale but nothing much, in terms of power he is basically just a fancy lighter. Though he knows how to use that fire very efficiently if he needs to. One of the older workers actually helped him with that after deciding that the color of fire would go nicely with his complexion. He hadn't had much of an interest in it to begin with until she showed him some neat little tricks. Though while he can use some magic now he tends not too as it is usually too much for him with the shows and stuff.

I've just decided that in the case that he adopts Raon (and why wouldn't he?? It would be too sad if he didn't) he turns him and the other two into little pyromaniacs. With On and Hong they mostly had to test out which poisons were save but gave a nice special effect, and weren't flammable as well. Which of course opened a whole new world of possibilities for the little cats who hadn't even really considered that fact. (Spreading poisonous fog and then setting it aflame for massive ground covering damage).

With On and Hong seeing Cale as a big brother rather than a father it's kind of complicated at first when Raon enters the mix, because he views Cale as a kind of father figure (not that he would say that or that Cale is aware enough to notice) and On (Hong not that much) is torn at first between "I'm his older sister, I',m still a kid as well" and "I'm his aunt, I should be more responsible" before she looks at how the others behave and decides that it doesn't matter, family is family after all.

It takes a while before the Henituse family notices that Cale left the city, the people who were supposed to keep a "subtle" eye on Cale had been neglecting their jobs for a while. Of course they are very panicked and worried about it and are trying to find Cale, but it's like he just vanished. No one knows what happened. While they search his home they find a letter that explains that Cale found a job that pays good so he wouldn't bother them anymore with leeching off (of course it wasn't written with these words but a devastated Deruth read it that way). Meanwhile Cale was kinda heartbroken because he noticed that nothing changed, he had suspected that maybe his family didn't care but it hurt to see it happening, by the time he could have noticed the change he was however to far away and distracted by other problems to notice anything.

I'm not sure yet when it should be set timeline-wise besides around the age of 18 and the family Vassals managed to get him kicked out, right now after all I'm entertaining the idea that he managed to rescue Raon by being the distraction (aka dancing) or at least asking his fellow dancers to distract the guards because there was something fishy going on here and then investigating himself and rescuing Raon, of course that would mean that he would need to build up enough trust with these people (more like learn that he can depend on others) for that to work hmmm wait this isn't a hc

Cale probably has some faint burn scars that didn't heal right or that he thought weren't bad enough to get healed, it's not easy to notice but they shimmer a bit in the light, and while it adds a bit of a mystical allure to him when he dances with fire and his skin seems to shimmer he and the kids are a bit frowny about it, also everyone who recognizes them realizes that Cale actually had to work really hard on the control he has now and that it didn't come to him easy in any way

Everyone present was gaping at Hans. When Hans noticed that they heard what he whispered to Ron, he began squirming in his place.

"Hans," it was Beacrox, gripping his knife tightly. "What do you mean you found the young master visiting the red light district?"

"He... Well... He entered one of the... Well... Uh..."

He turned to Ron to ask for help, but the old man was not smiling. Well, nobody was smiling actually. Most are horrified.

"He wouldn't be... Paying for their services... Right?" Rosalyn asked.

Everyone had thought that the young master's trashy acts had been just that, acts. So, maybe this is another one of his schemes to get a formiddable ally on their side.

But when the young master returned home with the scent of a lady (and another scent filled with pleasure), no one knew what to say. What to think. What to do.

"What?" was his oblivious question.

So, when Ron walked up to the young master with a very obvious frown on his face that made even Beacrox shiver in fear, you know that this old man's disappointment is immeasurable.

"Young master-nim."

The said young master flinched, pale face turning even paler at the sight of Ron.

He wasn't even able to reply, because the old butler placed a heavy hand on Cale's shoulder.

"I believe we need to have a chat, hm?"

'Rest in peace, young master,' Hans heard Beacrox whisper. 'This might actually be the only moment you pissed off, father.'

While Cale was getting an earful, you dear Reader were bathing happily in your tub, giggling happily to yourself how cute Rok Soo had become with a smaller, and twinkier body.

Basically, Reader is a sex worker. Cale has no qualms against it because work is work, and he respects you for it! Both of you catch up, both on how you two ended up here and on whether you both still hold feelings for each other since the last time you saw each other. You do. You both do. But things right now are really hectic, but the both of you still end up being passionate in bed.

And then, you as a sex worker also end up getting clients from high-end families, thus also being able to gather some pretty valuable information that Cale needs. The both of you hold off feelings until things become peaceful.

However, Cale's family will never forget your perfume. Your perfume is unique, and no one had ever concocted such a sweet and relaxing smell.

So, when you meet Cale again as one of the plus ones of the guests in the Imperial Palace's ceremonies, Choi Han could immediately tell who you were. And was not surprised if that same night Cale asked Raon to stay with Choi Han while he deals with some "business" that does not involve looting.

Choi Han tattles to Ron. This is the only time these two old men ever agree to be civil with each other.

And the thing is, they would have left Cale alone if they would know that 1) You two really have genuine feelings for each other, and 2) if Cale could put it in his forgetful (ironic isn't it?) mind to introduce you to them so that they'd stop thinking that he's either a lustful man only craving the soft bossom of a certain woman, or a hopeless romantic after some vixen that definitely bewitched their poor and innocent young master's heart.

Thankfully, you don't get death threats, but you do get weird visits asking what your intention is with the young master.

Clopeh was the most amusing to answer to.

"I plan to constantly dominate Cale Henituse."

The poor man couldn't wrap his head around it, not until he became a first hand witness (and isn't that something? None of Cale's allies were able to catch them and yet this crazy bastard has?) to exactly how you make Cale submit to you, and he leaves before things get too passionate with a peaceful smile on his face.

(If you find a legend of the Young Master Silver Light being in a secret love affair with a goodess of love and lust, you snort. You also tell Clopeh that the child that will be born from you and Cale's love will be a child of peace and dreams *ehem* slacker life *ehem* And so, that was also added to the prophecy within the legend)

i love the idea of SW!Reader and them using their job to lowkey be a spy! This story could have a lot of drama considering Cale's reputation and Reader's occupation for being a sex worker and I think if someone wrote it, it could be a really heavy topic but a good story!

oh geez please ignore this, but im imagining Ron and Beacrox getting to know the Reader !!

The Molan household is a household that focuses more on information gathering, so I would like to think that at a certain point, they work together to achieve something.

Maybe Ron could even think of Reader as his disciple idkkk it feels like an idea because I thought the father-son duo would also not judge how the reader gets their information.

I was also thinking that once things settled down, Reader quits on their job to officially start things with Cale and although there's nothing wrong with being a sex worker, the stigma is still there and the backlash is nasty, so what did Cale do?

He convinces Ron to take Reader into the Molan household :))

Imagining the father-son duo getting murderous when someone wants to insult Reader or speak lowly of them!! GIVE ME MORE CONTENT WITH THE MOLAN DUO!!!

*On, Hong and Raon, sneaking around their Guardian's body and going directly to the smart speaker on top of a nook*

*Hong and Raon, checking to see if there are no any other adults around except for Cale's sleeping figure on the sofa*

*Hong & Raon, nodding at On once they saw that the coast is clear*

*On, fondly rolling her eyes, gestures Raon to the speaker*

*Raon's eyes glistens and he comes close to the gadget*

Raon, opens his mouth: Alexa?

Raon: Do Reindeers Fly???

Echo: Tudut!

Cale, jostles up on his nap: huh?

krs wakes to two wings, four legs, scales, and a tail. he isn't sure where to proceed from here, only that if he wishes to survive as he's always promised himself to, he'll have to adjust. and quickly.

- krs waking up as a dragon in a cave, he’s amber colored and large, filling up the space but with some left over so he isn’t cramped

- krs finding a human sized bed under his leg >> “oh that means there’s a human, maybe that human is me,” and krs learning to turn into human form which is red headed and good looking

- krs looking around the cave, making and breaking plans to ensure his survival in this new scenario

- krs finding an egg

- egg hatching

- “mama!”

- krs becoming brand new single daddy to a gray dragon with large brown eyes and a penchant for sticking to krs like a burr

- krs eventually leaving cave because food and resources

- krs learning to find his way through the forest sureounding the cave and eventually into a snow capped mountain where he meets a white dragon named sheritt

- sherrit and krs swapping kid stories

- sherrit showing krs her ickle baby eggs which haven’t hatched, showing off her ample nursery and hologram system for backup planning like a proud mom and secretly fretting and hoping krs approves because he seems like such an accomplished parent and she just wants to do right by her twin babies

- krs patting sherrit on the head and congratulating her and sherrit beaming like a radiant sun

- meanwhile krs’ baby daughter [insert name here] suckling on krs’ shirt because she’s teething and smiling with wet gums at the expectant baby mommy who coos and tells her she’s adorable

- krs feeding baby daughter with a bottle

- krs being official greatest mom/dad/parent in the world

- inevitably white star coming to destroy sherrit as per the original plot of tboah but krs putting two and two together and foiling his plans like a boss

- sherit and krs driving white star away

- not being a permanent fix to the problem but he’s dead for now so they at least have several decades of peace

- the red dragon hatching

- sherit making krs a godparent and krs making her his daughter’s and they hold a baby shower together and invite all dragons who have to swear not to kick up a fuss if they intend to attend

- only dragon showing up is eruhaben

- golden dragon attending for the snacks and free food and blinking at the kids from afar because wtf he doesn’t know how to handle children (yet)

- krs finding him in the corner and sighing before getting up on his aching legs, making sure his baby is ok before making his way over

- eruhaben and krs hitting it off

- sherrit in her corner spying on the two and keeping tabs on the kids and Making Plans

- after several play dates and lunches with eruhaben and sherrit and krs discussing that he seems trustworthy, cool, let’s make him a babysitter

- sherrit negotiating prices with gold dragon and inviting him over after telling krs they can have the day off and when he’s arrived disappearing with both the kids and a hologram note that tells the boys to have fun and make like a porn film, she’ll take care of the kids for the day

- krs and eruhaben keeping it PG but surprisingly enjoying the day they had together

- krs escorting eruhaben out and “I had a fun time, would you like to do this again?” and eruhaben (who’s young and kind of awkward at this point) looking away ears warm and nodding

- the kids rushing back in and swarming krs and sherrit on their heels looking exhausted but like she’s happy for him

- krs resolving to give her a day off of her own and following through

- babies taking their first steps and krs and sherrit going nuts with their magic cameras and eruhaben in the background fueling them with extra mana because they’re really going to town with their 3D motion pictures and holograms and everything

- krs’ baby daughter calling eruhaben “papa” for the first time

- krs and eruhaben falling in love and not much changing between them despite that

- raon hatching

- sherrit making a contest for names for raon and making it anonymous and krs popping the history of his past and winning the contest because he makes sherrit cry by saying he wouldn’t go back if he had the choice anyway, his family is them now, and ”demand to know which entry was yours” ”that defeats the purpose of it being anonymous” and “fuck purpose just hand it over.”

- sherrit being comfortable being alone while krs and eruhaben explore their relationship with each other

- raon and red dragon [insert name here] and krs’ baby daughter growing up as siblings

- // I had more planned including WS’ return and Choi Han and the original plot of the novel but I’m out of juice so I’ll end it here for now

—You really did well. You completely change the fate of this world.

Cale scowling when the first thing he heard after his conscious awake was that annoying voice. He didn't open his eyes just yet, because he knew he was still in a dream. Just like any dream he has after fainting for a long time. Because if not, he pricely would hear the children's voices. Often, it was their crying voices. It was not pleasant to hear, of course. But at least, that voices made him know, there was someone waiting for him; everyone still here and did not leave him by himself. Because of their voices, he knew he was not alone when he opened his eyes.

—You're a very amazing human. You go beyond my expectations every so often. Tell me, a human who changes the fate. What do you want as a reward for changing this world's fate?

Cale sighed. He planned to just ignore this voice until he woke up from his dream, but his mouth immediately said something after he heard what that annoying voice had asked. "Just don't bother me and everyone I know ever again. Your voice's very annoying, you see." Unfortunately, it looks like his curse just made that voice feel pleased, because it is now laughing so hard and makes Cale's ears feel sore.

—I know you will say it. But you will not wake up from this dream before we finish our talk.

"That annoying god..." Cale cursed under his breath before he opened his eyes. He then found himself in a familiar room. So familiar that it makes him freeze when memories come to his mind as he finds himself sitting up in that chair—the chair that was Kim Rok Soo's own when he was very weak, without any first grade abilities years ago.

—I will let you talk to the ones you miss the most for a short time. This is my gift for your hard work. So don't hate me so much, alright?

Cale's heart beat faster when he heard what that god was saying. He can't even focuses on the last sentence that god gave before the voice really disappears. He couldn't move himself as the emotions filled him. Talk to the ones he misses the most? He very well knows who the god refers to, and it makes him filled with excitement; but on the other hand, felt hesitation and anxiety too.

Cale knew, their deaths weren't his fault nor themselves. He knew they were happy now. But to talk to them again? He felt his mind gone blank and he didn't know where all the words he always had for them when he reminiscing disappeared. But when he heard footsteps behind him, he cursed with the fact that god didn't even let him think about what to say. Cale clenched his fist before letting it go and sighed once again. He turned up and saw very familiar faces greet him with a wide smile on their lips.

"Is this you now, Rok Soo?" Lee Soo Hyuk is the first one who greeted him. Cale can see Choi Jung Soo behind him but didn't say anything while his face shows how surprised he is right now. Their appearances are the same as the last time Cale saw them—not with their wound and blood of course, but the ages and styles they used were the same as that time, before that accident destroyed everything. Cale then finally realized that in this dream, he is in Cale's body. The one he lives on right now. Cale nodded while seeing the two men finally in front of him.

They first checked Cale's outfit and appearance because it was very different from what it had in their world. Choi Jung Soo pinch his nose and cheeks before pulling his long red hair. It was very annoying and Cale couldn't help but slap that rascal's hand out of his head. Lee Soo Hyuk laughed so hard because of that, but Choi Jung Soo just smirked, "Now I know this is really you. No one can be this rude to other people except you."

All anxiety and hesitation disappeared in just a few seconds in Cale's heart. They really are still the same as before; so-called annoying hyungs that Cale knows so well. Cale snorting and rolling his eyes because of what Choi Jung Soo said. He wanted to protest, but Lee Soo Hyuk and Choi Jung Soo grabbed his shoulders before he could do that. Their eyes glimmering and there is a cheeky smile in their lips, "So what kind of mess did you pull until you can make a deal with literal god, Rok Soo?"

That question makes Cale frown deeper. From their choice of words, it makes him like the one who causes trouble all over the world. No, he didn't do it, didn't he? He just wants to live a peaceful life, but it looks like the world and gods hating him and dragged him into trouble every so often. He snorted, "I never want to make a deal with that annoying god. It just drag me as it pleased."

Cale didn't realize that his face right now formed a very cute face for Lee Soo Hyuk and Choi Jung Soo. Soo Hyuk laughed again and Jung Soo joined in. Their hands roaming in Cale's cheeks and pinch it as they realize with this Kim Rok Soo's new appearance, Cale really seems very young, and they are his big hyungs with longer gap ages.

"Have you been well?" Cale turned toward Jung Soo again after finally success getting away from their irritating grasp. Cale can see affection in his eyes before the man hides his hand in his jeans pockets. "It is so unfair that Soo Hyuk-hyung had met you before me. Aren't I your hyung too??" Choi Jung Soo pouting, but Cale just frowned with act the man pulled. He sighed before answering, there was a few seconds pause in his voice, "I... have been well."

"Have you met another person that can save your ass when you're getting into trouble in your world, Rok Soo?" Lee Soo Hyuk pulled another question with a smirk in his lips, but Cale knows better that Soo Hyuk really means that question. He wants to know if Cale has someone he can trust and lean on in his new world.

His mind immediately remembered everyone that filled his days from the day he became Cale Henituse. He is now wondering how they have been when he was unconscious and has anyone got seriously injured because of the battle they pulled last time. He couldn't confirm it himself before because he passed out too fast.

But before he can say anything, something halt him from speaking. There are crying voices. Cale knows very well whose crying voices it is. Cale turned his head up even if there was nothing he could see there. He concentrated more just to hear the children cry because Cale did not wake up for too long between their hiccups. He sighed, just like any other time before, hearing their crying voices really not pleasant to him.

"It looks like we didn't need an answer. You are very loved there, huh." Lee Soo Hyuk smiled once again before hugging him. Cale could feel Choi Jung Soo joining in and they just hugged each other for a moment.

If it is the normal Kim Rok Soo, he will refuse this hug because it felt strange and weird to do it with them. But Cale knew very well. The chance to have this moment again with them in the future is very small. He didn't want to regret this moment again, just like when he regretted not speaking his honest feelings toward them before they died.

They let Cale free after that. Choi Jung Soo patted his shoulder a few times before stepping back to stand beside Lee Soo Hyuk. "We couldn't hold you back for too long because there are people who are worried about you, aren't we?" Cale clenched his hands once again. His eyes focus on two men in front of him and recording all the moments in front of him right now; their facial expressions, their voices and so their warmth in his memories before nodding. He could see himself faded as indicated he would wake up soon in his world.

"You still remember what I said back then, right?" Lee Soo Hyuk and Choi Jung Soo directed their fists toward him. Cale sighed, but he couldn't stop his lips from forming a smile for the first time in front of them and directed his own fist, "Being alive is the best, isn't it?" Cale can see their smile getting wider as he said that. And then, he really faded away.

He will never forget this moment for his entire life. And he will always be grateful for this second chance of life in this world. (Though he will never admit that, especially in front of the God of Death).

The first thing he saw when his eyes opened was the big black blob crying river in his chest and making his shirt very wet. Besides him, two other clumps stuck their heads on his arm and made another wet spot on his shirt. Cale sighed. His hand still has not regained its strength yet, so he can't comfort them as fast as possible. He roaming his eyes and scanning surrounding to find he was in his bed on Super Rock's Villa, before he stared again at the black blob that had gotten bigger than the last time he saw, "Why are you guys crying so hard?"

The three of them flinched instantly and looked up toward him. Cale shook his head twice before reaching one hand toward Raon and another hand toward On and Hong. His hand was still shaking, but it was enough to move his hand toward them and gave a stiff pat on their head. He can see they are freezing in their place, unable to respond to his question. Cale then hummed gently, still tried to pat their heads more smoothly and gave them comfort, "I'm awake now, so don't cry."

"CALE!!" They rushed toward his face and nearly choked him, but Cale tried to adjust this torture with a hug to calm them down. He could hear the children protesting to Cale that he was unconscious for too long; he can also hear Raon telling everyone in the Villa to come to the 5th floor as fast as possible because Cale is finally awake. They are crying again because of relief and there is nothing Cale can do other than pat their back gently.

Eruhaben, Molans Duo, Choi Han, Lock, the wolf siblings, Rosalyn, Mary and even Gashan quickly arrive in his bedroom. He still understands that. After all, they are all monsters with strong physics and magic. What he didn't anticipate was even Alberu, Henituse members family, Toonka, Witira, Litana, Hannah and Jack, and even Bud Illis together with Glenn would shortly arrive in his chamber after Raon announced the news. Aren't they having another things to do?? How can they be transported shortly here in the middle of day? And is Raon just told everyone—literally everyone they knew—about his consciousness?

"Uh... has everyone been well? Is there someone getting seriously injured because of the battle before?" Cale felt a bit flustered because how many people came to his chamber for a very short time. He cleared his throat before turning toward three bundles in front of him after seeing disbelief stares and glares immediately thrown toward him after he opened his mouth.

It looks like their viciousness is getting updated while he is unconscious. Because he felt very small just with all the death threats they sent from their eyes.

Ron approached him first and helped him sit properly with a pillow to lean on. He adjusted the position, so the three children were perfectly wrapped under his two hands and sat down on his lap. He turned up again after he heard Alberu's voice. "Are you really asking that right now?" His face is unusually more emotional than ever before. And Cale didn't know why he could see frustration in everyone's faces. Cale frowned out of his confusion but didn't open his mouth because he was afraid it would make them more angry than this.

Alberu sighed and rubbed his face with two palms. Cale flinched with how vicious Alberu looked after they facing each other again, but Alberu didn't give him time to turn away and immediately said, "You are the only one who had been seriously injured and unconscious for a year and a few days. Are you really in the position to ask us that question??"

A year? He fainted for a year?? He never thought it would be this long. Now he knew why the children in his lap got bigger and heavier than he ever remembered. And now he knows why everyone looks a bit different than they used to be in his memories.

Cale scanning his surroundings and recording all their new looks. He smiled with satisfaction when he finally ensured himself that everyone was healthy and good. There is no one who dies. He saves everyone. It was different from the last bad memories he had with Lee Soo Hyuk and Choi Jung Soo.

Cale can see another disbelief that shows on their faces because of Cale's smile. He shook his head a few times, facing them with more confidence while still patting the children's back, before saying, "But it was worth it, isn't it?" He saw they were all flinching because of that, but he just continued while holding the children more tight. "If I can make you all alive with just one year worth of living, I will never ask myself twice to do it."

Those few sentences successfully make everyone emotional. The wolf siblings and even Lily, crowded Cale as they cried hard while others stood in their position while having their bodies shake. The room is filled with children's crying voices. Cale flinched first because eleven children as reinforcement really made him feel loaded, but he just sighed after. It was understandable for children to cry in this kind of situation. And he didn't want to stop them, at least now.

He could hear Raon, On and Hong told him he was an idiot and weak that he should never do that ever again. And Cale just pat every head in his reach to calm them down. He then saw others silently shaking their bodies with wet eyes. "Thank you," Cale whispered as his head reached the children's head, but knew everyone in the room still could hear his voice, "thank you for staying alive."

Cale can hear a hiccup for them. Emotions filled them as they finally saw their precious family opened his eyes. They heard his voice, and saw that he is alive; sound and healthy. It felt like forever, but as much as they were frustrated because of Cale, they felt relieved too. Cale is okay. And Cale is still their idiot sacrificial self that they love so much.

There is nothing changed; except for the fact that, they finally felt like winning the war. It was because their hero had now finally woken up from his long unconscious stead.

Review #69: Love in the Moonlight

I was going to write about this drama after I finished the last episode, but I'm halfway through and I just can't contain myself anymore.

This drama is such a joke. I'm honestly laughing incredulously here. Well, I'm up to the part where Yoonsung goes to fetch Raon with a bunch of guards behind him to - in his own words to his dad - "test the depth of his feelings for her". What a joke. You know and I know and he knows and we all damn know that he's too soft hearted to hurt anyone. And the writer is expecting us to believe that he would hurt Raon? The girl he's in love with? The girl he would go against his long-term friend and family for? The only girl he's ever liked even after frequenting a hundred kisaengs? Yeah, right.

That is this writer's biggest downfall. They're just too much of a softie. I'm pretty sure this writer fell in love with their own characters, so much to the point where they're too mushy-hearted to do anything bad to them. This happens multiple times throughout the drama, I can't even count. Nothing bad EVER happens to the characters. Well, let me rephrase that. Nothing bad EVER lasts for long with these characters - because the writer just can't bear to see them suffer for long!

Think about it. EACH damn time Raon and Young have to go through a tearful and heart-wrenching separation, they just get back together in the next episode or even earlier. The writer can't pull through with their own storytelling. The separation of the two main characters is always presented in this intensely tear-jerking fashion as though it's the hardest thing they have to go through, but in less than an hour there the prince is AGAIN, and all I can do is sit here and cry out in frustration because there are no stakes! How are we as the audience supposed to be sad and emotionally invested and feel like their love is a life and death situation when it just really ISN'T?

The examples go on and on. Think about the time Byeongyeon sacrificed himself for Raon and the prince. (Don't worry, Raon's unbearable passivity is coming up in another huge post of its own.) I actually liked that scene. I mean, yeah I love Byeongyeon as a character (more than Raon for sure) but his death meant something. It was an incredibly meaningful moment. You could see how much love he had for the prince and the entire scene was done pretty well, including the dialogue. And then what happens? HE DOESN'T DIE. Like, really? Okay, so he got shot by several arrows (and one of them definitely hits very close to his vital organs) and gets slashed by a sword and he still LIVES? So a hundred other people who gets slashed just once in the drama all die but this dude LIVES? Oh please. I swear, the moment I saw him lying down getting taken care of I wanted to smash the wall. That's not how it works! When you do that, you totally destroy the meaningful scene that you initially set up. If he comes back to life so easily, what was his death for? What meaning does it hold now? Ultimately, it tells the audience that nothing really is at stake, and that all of the "important" characters will come out unscathed. Nothing bad will ever happen to them. And what does this do? It destroys every ounce of tension in the drama. Nobody in the audience is going to ever feel that the situation in the drama is a life and death situation. Because it isn't.

That's really bad writing. One of the first things I learned in my screenwriting class was that you gotta put your main character through hell and you gotta have zero sympathy. You have to keep making bad things happen to them. The moment you become a softie, the tension just goes splat. It's really got to feel like a life and death situation and the stakes have to feel REAL. At the moment, the drama does none of that.

That's why I had to stop watching and rant when Yoonsung (of course) takes out his sword and slays the guards. Of course. I wasn't expecting anything else anyways. Who in the world would even think Yoonsung would do something other than protect Raon? Well, for a second I guess I was kind of hopeful - but only for a second, because the drama of course ruined it as quickly as possible. The drama never lets things simmer and turn bad. The writer is too weak-hearted for that. They probably can't bear to see any of their characters suffer for long. So of course Yoonsung would take out his sword but of course it wouldn't be to harm Raon. Of course he would stop at the SLIGHTEST squeak from Raon and start slaying all of his guards lol. I was trying really hard from not typing lol but I really can't help it. It's just too incredulous.

If only the writer would pull through with their threats. If only they would actually let things go bad. Then the tension would rise and rise and the rubber band would be pulled and pulled tight until all that's left to do is for it to snap and all hell breaks loose, which is when you reach the story climax before the happy happy ending. Other dramas do this really well. Especially when they make the main couple break up for reasons outside their control. You really gotta milk that situation. But this drama just can't do that and has never done it. It's supposed to do that the most right now, when there are only so many episodes left until the end. However, the drama DOESN'T do that when it most needs to. I'm so frustrated.

Don't get me started on how much I hate Raon. Well, more like, how much I hate the way Raon is written by the writer. Raon used to be a great character in the beginning. But the moment she falls in love with the prince - well, let's say "falls in love" but where's the evidence that she even loves him? I could write ten pages on how much Raon doesn't love the prince and how passive and wide-eyed she is while the prince actually loves her and ACTS it out ALL the time. Okay, let's have a pause here, and I'll go watch the rest of the episode (well, try to) before going on another huge rant.

If you're going to do a sageuk, do it like 100 Days My Prince or don't do it at all. Or even like Scarlet Heart. At least the stakes there were huge. So many people actually died and the main girl was ACTUALLY tortured. The biggest advantage of sageuks (compared to modern dramas) are the fact that the situations can get really life-and-death. This drama didn't use any of that strong point. What a waste.

Okay. I just came back from watching the rest of Yoonsung's sudden attack on the guards and wow. I was not expecting HIM to die. After all that ranting I did up top about how the drama doesn't pull through and doesn't kill any of their important characters, this is kind of a huge blow. But I have to say, I don't understand why he had to die. When Byeongyeon sacrificed himself, it made all the sense in the world - with his sacrifice, he was able to save Raon, her dad, and even the prince. But didn't Yoonsung lead the guards to Raon himself? He then attacked the bunch of guards himself. Then you see Raon actually try to do something FINALLY but it might have been better if she hadn't done anything this time, cause he clearly got stabbed trying to save her. I guess I just wish his death was worth more than this. I really liked him as a character and I still feel like the drama did him dirty. He could have died a more meaningful death. Not like this.

Now everything is being wrapped up and I honestly feel like there was no real climax in this drama. Maybe it's coming up. Let's see. But from the look of things everything is being wrapped up like a pretty gift box with no imperfections. Have I also mentioned just how much I hate the fade out transitions in this drama? I honestly hate it. It feels like a cop out each time. It feels like a lazy cop out instead of following through with the action that is presented at the time.

As the drama wraps up, I gotta say that I've grown to really love the second female lead. I started off disliking her (just cause I liked the main couple too much back then) and thinking she was just a plot device but she's shown a lot of character throughout the time she was in the drama. SHE is the one who truly loved the prince and actually acted it out each time. And just as I say this, here we go again - the writer lets her off easy, making the king erase her princess-to-be history and ultimately making her sacrifice useless and bland. Sigh. Just LET people sacrifice and be selfless and just let the audience see and feel the deep worth in that! Why you gotta keep taking that away from us?!

I have finally finished the entire drama. I loved Young as a character and I love Park Bogum as the actor who acted him out. Young was BY FAR the best character in the drama, followed by Byeongyeon. Raon was annoying until the very end and even seeing her smile was annoying me. All I could think of was the fact that she was lifeless and had no personality and didn't even properly love the prince and even despite all that she was standing in front of him receiving his love. The prince deserves better.

Reactions to Mad Worshipper's Chapter 244

TL;DR - Archie recalls how Witira beat up a trash whale beastman in the past. Witira and Yanni's fight continues. Wild wind elementals and Cale's elementals join Tasha in her fight.

Troubled Archie The scene between Archie and Hannah today was so funny. The two were former enemies, so being together in one place was bound to be awkward for them. But Archie's panic over Witira's fight made him forget that. He even narrated to her what happened when he was young.

-the earth shakes and loud thuds are continuously heard- Archie: *trembling* Hannah: What's wrong? Archie: ...She's angry. Hannah: Huh? Archie: ...When I was young. You know our village is on ice, right? There... At that time, there was a trash whale beastman who messed with a penguin beastman that was a friend of the whale tribe. -a loud thud sounds as the ground shakes again- Archie: *wipes the cold sweat off his forehead* Anyway, Witira went to beat up that bastard. Hannah: And? Archie: That trash ran away by turning to a whale and diving into the sea. Hannah: So? Archie: Witira caught that whale, and... Narrator: After the young Archie witnessed that scene, he vowed to never mess with Witira. Archie: And then, Witira lifted the whole whale and slammed it to the ground. Hannah: ... -a loud thud sounds as the ground shakes again- Archie: T-That's what we're hearing now! Like that time when she beat him up! When she held the tail fin and swung it side by side in a semicircle like striking a paddle! The sound at that time was like this! Hannah: ... -a loud thud sounds as the ground shakes again- Archie: She's seriously furious right now! Witira's eyes rolled back then! Paseton was young at that time, and he came crying and saying, 'Noona, please stop.' No one can stop her unless he clung to her like that time! Paseton has grown up now... no- Even if the current Paseton comes crying and clings to Witira, she will stop! But Paseton-nim is in Roan! How do I bring him here! Huh? Hannah: ...Why are you asking me that? Archie: I mean, we're in real trouble! *stands up and looks out the tent* Damn it! Snow keeps falling! The snowfall is getting worse! Damn it! You don't have to worry about water running out here! Hannah: Then isn't that good for whale beastmen? Archie: That's the problem! It's a problem because it's good! There's so much snow! *clutches his hair* She might even go berserk! *runs out of the tent* Damn it! The elemental is completely beat up! I have to stop her! Hannah: ??? *looks at Archie as if he was a crazy person* Raon: Human, Archie is running to the battlefield! Why is that? Cale who is also scared of Witira right now: ...I understand him.

Quite a long scene, but it was so hilarious to see Archie panicking. 🤣🤣🤣 At first, I suspected that the trash was actually Archie, but the narration convinced me that he was just a traumatized witness at that time. 😂

Hannah's reactions to his panic was also funny, like she's confused why Archie was even troubled because the enemy being beaten up was good for their side. Or perhaps seeing her former enemy who was awkward with her suddenly confiding about the past and panicking. 😂

The Elementals Witira's fight continued today, and ended up with Witira clutching the earth elemental, who had lost its earthworm form, by her bare hands. There was also some stuff about Yanni's past and how she treated the earth elemental as her precious friend.

Peterson considered Yanni as crazy though because of what she did to her 'friend.' She was its friend, but also turned it into a brainless tool for fighting. Tasha's wind elemental was angry because it knew that the earth elemental lost its form after it got devoured by the source of the world.

Moving on, Tasha was angry at the enemy elves for crossing the line. I said that she was a polearm user last chapter, but she was actually a long spear user. She had her contracted wind elemental to help her, but Cale's wind elementals (the ones who always shout Chaos and Destruction) also joined in to help her. Even the wind elementals that lived in the Erghe Mountains joined her.

Ending Remarks Much of the chapter was about Witira's fight (and Archie panicking), and a prelude to Tasha's battle. As for Rosalyn, there was no mention of her at all today. I guess she'll have a chapter dedicated to her battle too? Given the pattern, perhaps we'll have 2 battle chapters per character. And Cale... it feels strange yet refreshing to see him as a spectator this time.

Reactions to Young Master Shield's Chapter 210

TL;DR - GoD agrees with Cale. Sui and CJS versus the wanderer. The wanderer warns Cale. Cale's shield legend returns and he says the iconic line.

GoD Suspects Wanderers Too The reason why GoD left Cale's message on read was because he immediately began a secret investigation on all wanderers and their locations once he read Cale's message. He and CJS also support Cale's speculation that the Five-Colored Bloods were wanderers.

CJS Goes Flying Again There was a scene where Alberu questioned CJS about the wanderer. CJS had replied that it was an enemy and he was not allies with that wanderer. Alberu left to handle the situation, but not before warning CJS to not be reckless and cause trouble.

To be honest, I was confused with that scene. Was Alberu doubtful of CJS because he was a wanderer too? Or was it just MTL messing up the translation again? 🤔

Moving on, Sui switched to his bird form and flew straight towards the enemy. CJS followed him, and the three forces clashed. However... CJS got blown away again and fell on a building roof, destroying said roof.

Seriously, why does CJS always get blown away? 🤣🤣🤣 Alberu had warned him earlier to not cause trouble, and here he is, causing property destruction... 😂

Wanderer is Like CH? There was a scene where CH felt that the wanderer's power was similar to his. If you recall, CH's power was black (despair something something) with some white (hope) in it. And the enemy's power was said to be similar to it, though in a more perfected form.

Hmm? So the enemy had the same experience as CH? Okay, hear me out, I have a crazy theory. Is the enemy wanderer perhaps another Choi Han from a parallel world? After all, Cale's world was called Nameless 1, so it isn't strange if there's a Nameless 2 and Nameless 3, right?

The Wanderer and Cale We did not get any physical description of the enemy, except that it was hard to distinguish if their voice was male or female, and that they spoke coldly. The enemy called out Cale's name, asking if it was Cale who killed the Huayans patriarch back in Xiaolen because Cale was the last person the patriarch saw.

So it seems like they have an ability to see people's memories? But how did they do that when the Huayans patriarch did not even leave behind a corpse?

Anyway, the enemy continued, "You of Thames blood. If you want to protect it, meddle not. Your power is only this much." And the enemy proceeded to send an attack to Cale.

Now, I'm confused again on whom the enemy was referring to when it came to protection. Was it the Thames? Or the audience in the academy's plaza? It seemed to be latter based on the flow of their words, but it could also mean that the enemy would go after the Thames if Cale interferes with what they were doing.

The Shield Will Not Break HE SAID IT! HE SAID IT! Okay, Cale did not really, really, really want to say this iconic line (the amount of sentences in the chapter just describing that he did not want to say that line was 🤣🤣🤣), but he had no choice because people were panicking and he had to reassure everyone.

He was also worried because his younger siblings were present today unlike that time in the plaza terrorist bombing incident. Cale was mentally cursing several times while thinking of how to protect his siblings and everyone.

Of course, when he revealed his silver shield to block the enemy's attack (Raon and Alberu also deployed their own shields to assist Cale), everyone was in awe of the shield's beauty. After he said his iconic line of "The shield will not break," the enemy's attack collided with his shield, and... and... AND... IT'S A CLIFFHANGER! AAAAAAAH!!! 😭😭😭

Ending Remarks There wasn't any funny moments today, except if you consider CJS getting blown away for the nth time. 😂 Now, who is that wanderer? CJS said that the enemy was hundreds of years older than him, and seemed stronger, though he did not recognize the enemy.

Anyway, Cale's speech is as good as cancelled. Or maybe not? If you want to write a transcript of it, it would go like this:

"It's a pleasure to meet everyone." "Damn it." "Silence." "Everyone, please be silent." "Don't panic." "The shield will not break."

Well, Cale, your speech is indeed neat and short like you wanted earlier, right? 🤣🤣🤣

have not finished the novel but can you please spoil if the family of original cale knows cale isn't the real one? and did krs!cale tell anyone he transmigrated?

Good question! If you don't mind getting SPOILERS, I'm happy to answer!

In short, no, the Henituse family members don't find out, at least not in Part 1 (as Part 2 is still in progress).

I also do not get the feeling that they ever will, because when Cale meets OG Cale, who now goes by Kim Rok Soo himself, he's encouraged to embrace the identity of Cale Henituse the same way OG Cale had fully embraced his new identity in Korea.

Cale's old team on Earth 1 noticed that their "Team Leader" had become different, but he also seems happier and adopted a daughter (his reincarnated mom), so they don't mind the change and are actually glad for him. Which is the perfect reflection of how the Henituse family reacted when Cale "finally" stopped being "trash", because both Cale and OG Cale were not happy before the transmigration swap and everybody could see it. So them changing so suddenly was seen as them "dropping their mask", so to speak – which is funny because that's exactly what happened. Both of them let go of the burdens of their past lives to fully enjoy their new ones. Everybody involved is all the better for it (the only thing the God of Death ever done right, lol).

But here's the interesting bit. While the Henituses never find out, there are other characters who do.

First comes Choi Han, who practically speaking got "spoiled" by the God of Death himself. He gets the memories of his relative Choi Jung Soo, Cale's long dead best friend. Seeing KRS in those memories Choi Han easily puts the two and two together, as Cale never really changed personality-wise from his old life (especially his desire for slacker life, hahaha!).

Immediately after Choi Han finds out, Cale tells Raon as well, as he was present while everything was going down and the curious Dragon wanted to understand. Cale's explanation of his transmigration to Raon was extremely short, but very sweet.

Third, there was Alberu, who found out during the Sealed God's Test – which is a whole huge plotline which is too complicated to explain in detail right now, so keep things short, Cale was put into his old 20-year-old body to re-experience his biggest trauma, and both Choi Han and Alberu got to join him there to help him out. Alberu did not recognize Cale immediately, but he saw him using his Ancient Powers, so he put it together quickly as well.

Then followed one of the most hilarious yet heartwarming exchanges between the two, as Alberu realized that whatever was going on put Cale in a very vunerable position, so he sincerely offered to hear him out. Then Cale, with his usual subtlety of a rampaging elephant, info dumps about his and Choi Han's dimension travellers status. Alberu's reaction is one of the funniest moments in the book for me.

Shortly after, there was Lee Soo Hyuk in the Sealed God's Test, Cale's old Team Leader, whom Cale decided to tell the truth before he went back to the fantasy world; as it turned out that there was a younger KRS inside the same body all along, and he wanted someone to know the truth why he was acting differently all of a sudden.

So Choi Han, Raon, Alberu and Lee Soo Hyuk from Earth 2 were the characters who found out about Cale's transmigration (and also the KRS from Earth 2, but I'm not sure if we count him....? Let's say he counts). But I said earlier, Part 2 is still ongoing... And it looks like Ron and Beacrox Molan will found out soon.

Why? Because they joined in on one of Cale's dimension trips, and with Cale changing his appearance accordingly, they seem to be finally putting it together why Cale's personality suddenly changed overnight 2 years ago. They've seen enough clues, and they're not stupid. The conversation about it seems to be put on hold right now, however, but I'm pretty sure it's going to happen sooner or later.

If things happens as I predict, then that will be full 7 characters (aside from OG Cale, Earth 1's CJS & LSH, and various gods) who know about Cale. Seeing as Cale is allergic to explanations, I doubt anyone else will found out any time soon, lol.

They can handle it, but we have to deal with the monsters on our own now Taerang: Sir, at this moment, my prediction is that you're definitely going to die Eruhaben, Mary & others: *show up* Taerang: …ok, so now the chances of survival definitely increased Roan Soldiers: Gasp! We got a real Dragon on our side!!
