Since the ep is INSPIRED by POTO, I’mma point out the similarities and differences

Similarities/references to POTO:

-There are obvious parodies of the characters in the book/musical. Neema’s obviously the Phantom, Paka kinda has Christine’s role, Nne and Tano are kinda like Madame Giry, and there’s an herbivore with Carlotta’s role. Maybe a wild ass

-Neema pulls very similar stunts Erik pulls, mainly sabotaging performances. But he also has a secret lair in a water cave that he takes Kiburi’s float and Paka

-The Grasslands has a tradition called the “kupiga mpira”, meaning “masquerade ball” where everyone dresses up in costumes. Neema crashes the party lol

-Like Christine, Paka is a (rookie) performer and has a relationship with the Phantom

-I guess you could say both Erik and Neema had a hard life (granted, Neema’s past wasn’t as bad as Erik’s but still) that somehow affected their reputation

-He put Paka to sleep with a soothing melody (AKA he recreates “Music of the Night”)

-“[Why would anyone want to date a strange individual who’s killed people? That just sounds like a toxic relationship.]”-Neema at one point

-The reptiles like to refer to Neema as an “angel of music”

-Tamka brings up “the point of no return”

-Like Erik, Neema kills someone

-One of the reasons he sabotages a show is that a certain spot isn’t left for him. It’s HIS spot, no one else’s

-Neema and Erik both get exposed

-Both phantoms get affection at the end

-Neema’s point of no return is to either quit this double life thing and go back to being in Kiburi’s float or stick to being a phantom and leave his only family permanently. Although Tamka/Nduli think Neema’s gonna give THEM a choice to either join him or he’ll kill everybody, to which Kiburi shuts it down cuz that makes zero sense

Differences:

-There is no operatic singing in the episode. It has singing (the Grasslands are a musical place) but not actual opera. Also there’s no Raoul nor Persian

-While Erik loves/is obsessed with Christine, Neema is aromantic and has no interest in anyone

-Neema does not wear a mask that covers his face (except during the masquerade scene)

-Like I said before, everything between them is platonic and healthy. Though Neema DOES have a soft spot for her. If anything, they’d be QPP’s

-Erik and Neema haunt their respective places for different reasons. Erik does it cuz of his passion for opera and obsession for Christine. Neema honestly just likes the music. The hero thing just comes with it.

-Two things: it was completely platonic and Neema hummed the song since he’s mute and can’t sing. It’s more of a lullaby than a romantic ballad

-Neema isn’t jealous nor possessive. The most he does when he sees Paka with someone else is make sure they don’t hurt her. He’s more protective if anything

-my guy is not a teacher. He’s never taught anyone anything (except maybe how to stand up for yourself)

-As much as I love the scene, it ain’t happening with Neema and Paka. Way too sexual for them (and the episode fic) 😭

-Unlike Erik he killed someone cuz he was hungry, not to sabotage the show. Though everybody else seems to think differently

-He doesn’t kill anyone cuz of it, although he does cause a monkey to interrupt it by scaring him

-While Erik’s face gets exposed during an opera in front of everyone, Neema’s confronted by Kiburi’s float and basically gets exposed then

-Erik gets a kiss while Neema and Paka share a hug and a head pat :)

-Neema’s ending is veeeeeeery different from Erik’s. Neema doesn’t die like in the book nor does he completely quit being a phantom and not see Paka again. He goes back with his float in the end, but he continues to be a Phantom hero in the Grasslands.

There’s a reason Neema kept up the whole “Phantom” act and it kinda has something to do with his past. Neema was raised by strict, but somewhat supportive parents as a hatchling. He never learned to actually talk but his parents convinced him that being quiet was a good thing. “Silence is golden” they’d always say. “Just do as you’re told and they’ll like you”. It was like that for a while until the day he saved that lizard. Being referred to as a “hero” awakened something in him that day. He likes being some mysterious heroic entity, he likes playing with the Grasslanders and telling them what to do, he likes keeping animals on their toes, he likes the music the Grasslands have.

He likes being his own animal.

He’s been following and obeying his leaders all his life. Don’t get him wrong, he doesn’t necessarily mind it and he loves his friends, but it just feels nice to be someone now that he’s found his passion.

Nne and Tano found out when they got hungry and wanted to try something different rather than a mole rat or trying to eat animals from the Pridelands. They soon found themselves in the Grasslands and just so happened to spot Paka walking around. Just as they cornered her, Neema came out of nowhere, gave Paka a chance to run away, and began to attack the pair…until they recognized him like “Hey wait a minute…we know you! You’re one of the crocodiles in Kiburi’s float! What’re you doing here?”. It took a bit, but the pair finally figured out that Neema was a phantom and decide to join him. They never let anyone know since (until Kiburi basically forced them to tell where Neema was going).

Ever since Paka heard about this supposed phantom saving one of her lizard friends, her sleep schedule has been out of whack (seeing how black-footed cats are nocturnal) and she’s been obsessed with seeing it for herself. It only grew when Neema saved her and she went from wanting to see him to wanting to get to know him. Luckily, Neema took interest in the little feline due to her personality and shared love for music and began watching over her. He’s even led her to his water cave (where he hummed her his lullaby) and their friendship grew from there. She doesn’t really understand him so they communicate by yes or no questions until Kiburi comes along. Same with Nne and Tano.

Unrelated, but I just realized a pattern with my headcanons for Kiburi’s float: I gave them all desires

Kiburi wants to be good enough to make his dad proud like he promised

Tamka wants to be seen as more than just one thing (which is an idiot). He wants to pursue his passion and show he’s capable of doing things

Neema wants to feel like somebody. Like I said, he’s been a follower for way too long and he wants to find himself

Nduli wants everything to stay the same. He’s lost so much due to change and he doesn’t want to lose anything or anybody else, so he clings to his loved ones in hopes they won’t let go

Wakali wants to be taken seriously since her young age and albinism causes other animals to underestimate her

Even Makuu wants to show everyone that he’s changed his ways and wants to leave a legacy. It was the same thing with Pua, although nowadays he just wants to live his best life

Ucheshi got what she wanted in that Udugu episode I have-she got her big brother back :)

Episode 1

I don't think we've ever seen Assane do a genuine fourth-wall break before

OK so Claire has a last name now

Assane really expected that he could just show up and Claire would just fall at his feet

I'm surprised Benjamin is just allowed to continue working at his shop

This feels better-edited than Parts 1 & 2

Name a more iconic duo than Belkacem and failing constantly (she really doesn't listen, does she)

Episode 2

NEVER invite Guédira to a funeral lmaooo

Hang on I'm just now realizing that Juliette is at this funeral, too (she's standing in the second row behind Benjamin and Claire and honestly doesn't seem too upset about Assane's "death")

I like how in the flashback Babakar tells Assane that he reminds him of his mother and then it turns out she was a criminal

This seems to be around the time of Raoul's birthday again; he really can't catch a break on that

Episode 3

New shipping war just dropped: Guédira/Belkacem vs Guédira/Fleur

That bit where Claire was outright begging Benjamin to tell her Assane was alive and he couldn't...that was sad

But then it was followed by Benjamin doing the "uhh my FRIEND just died" act with Belkacem which was funny

This gang of thugs is trying a little too hard tbh

Assane's disguise in this episode is fucking terrible lol

The basketball coach disguise, on the other hand, is the only time I've genuinely thought he wasn't recognizable

Episode 4

Ironically that coach persona is probably the best parenting Assane has ever done

Claire? Doing things that are vaguely cool?? That feels illegal. Also, she looked so proud of herself for swiping that book, lol

Betraying Benjamin was certainly...a choice on Assane's part ("everyone disliked that")

This episode is going to devastate the show's Tumblr fandom

Episode 5

Assane trolling the shit out of Guédira will never not be funny

These 1998 flashbacks are pretty dark actually

Honestly the way Claire got that reveal out of Benjamin was very well-played on her part

Guédira out here looking like present-day Ringo Starr with that disguise

Aww look at Assane playing the matchmaker for Guédira and Belkacem, heh heh

This is easily one of the funniest episodes

Except Benjamin is straight up not having a good time -- it looks like he got beaten up in prison

Episode 6

Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, I'm not totally sure Benjamin knows that Assane betrayed him. It's possible he just thinks that he fucked up with the bracelet and then missed a cue in the maze

"Pasta with ketchup" jesus fucking christ Claire that sounds horrendous (although I'm guessing the only reason they did that was because of the ketchup-bottle reveal)

Assane really has Claire's number because he's now seduced her twice under two different identities

IDK whether or not Raoul has figured out that the coach is his dad but it's funny that he still seemed to be shipping it either way

It's nice that we get to see Claire's more playful side in this season, like her messing with Assane by acting really flirty with "Alex" after she realizes they're the same person

INCREDIBLE casting for the younger and older versions of Keller tbh; they easily look like they could be the same person

Episode 7

What a nice family reunion...it would be a shame if something happened to it...

The flashbacks are significantly darker than the present timeline this time around

Guédira finally got to arrest Assane, good for him!

The scene at the train station with the letter from Assane to Claire sort of reminds me of the ending to A Tale of Two Cities, which I had to read for AP prep a while back

Oh look, Hubert Pellegrini is back

So they're CLEARLY setting up another season with this ending

The choice of people to show on the montage there was interesting, lol

I could see a Juliette antagonist arc happening tbh

Maybe Assane's mom isn't all she seems either

Hi hi! So I say in my pinned post that I do the occasional song cover. And I guess by that I really meant OCCASIONAL. I haven’t done a song cover since I started this account. So here’s a shitty iPhone cover of “Think Of Me” from Phantom Of The Opera! I have no halfway decent recording setup so excuse the low quality. And excuse the lack of background music besides THE FUCKING WIND. IT SOUNDS LIKE I’M OUT IN A TORNADO. This isn’t perfect but that’s ok! Cause part of the reason I post these aside from just liking to sing is to get feedback! Don’t be afraid to tell me what I need to work on! I wanna improve! Except now I'm just imagine MC as Christine, COVE as Raoul, and Baxter as (you'll never guess) the Phantom. And it is a lot to take in.

-- Baxter just has his creepy little nest in the theatre and hides away from the rest of the world because he is very damaged emotionally.

-- He sees MC perform and he's like "this one I like this one"

-- Then MC hooks up with Cove, a great guy with who is stable, and he cannot have that now can he

-- Baxter kidnaps MC for a little bit and MC ends up kinda liking it

-- The Phantom is not a good guy, he does some awful things and Raoul was an angel, but like ... come on

-- Anyway eventually MC is like "hey this Baxter guy is kind of unhinged, Cove, can we like not be here anymore lol"

-- And Cove is like "yeah, I got you"

-- And Baxter, who was creeping watching this whole conversation is like "the fuck you do"

-- But the Cove is like, "Look, MC, I know this is scary because you're being stalked by this weirdo, but let's use you as bait so we can catch him and make him start being a weirdo"

-- I wish there was a character for Derek here because he'd be like "no, that's ridiculous, let's leave," but there's not so MC is like "lol ok"

-- Baxter, who has always been able to outsmart everyone, manages to outsmart everyone and kidnaps MC again, but this time he's like "I'm gonna keep you this time"

-- Cove comes to rescue MC and he and Baxter fight over them but they kinda like it again

MC: (to Baxter) Pitiful creature of darkness, what kind of life have you known? God give me courage to show you you are not alone *kisses Baxter*

Cove:

-- Baxter knows kindness for the first time and lets MC and Cove go, they run off all in love and he sits there in his little lair, "Masquerade, paper faces on parade. Masquerade, hide your face so the world will never find you. *cries* MC I looooooove yooooooou"

From my POV, even if you are not super active with the Weyler gang, I’m having fun seeing how passionate you are about the Phantom of the Opera. I’ve read the book in… fuck it’s been 22 years!… and I barely remember Raoul, I think I used to ship Christine and the bad guy (that ship must have a name?). Gonna have to read it again soon I guess! You are a constant reminder to pick that novel from my bookshelf and put it in my to read pile.

And I like those personal posts, those glimpses of your life you share sometimes through # or comments. I barely one year old in terms of Tumblr so I didn’t « know » people unfollowed others after a while… I don’t see why I would. You’ve always been nice to me, you wrote some interesting stuff and I’m not eager to strike people out of my life for no reason. Sorry if it’s weird for Tumblr users or whatever.

Here are my reviews of the nine Phantom of the Opera adaptations I own on dvd (I have than these digitally but for now I'm just doing my dvds)

Phantom of the opera (1925) - Lon Chaney

Accurate to the book in a lot of ways, good soundtrack and atmosphere, amazing makeup for Erik

The changed ending takes away from the story and the silent movie format doesn't work well with the emphasis on singing

Phantom of the opera (1943) - Claude Raines

Christine just vibes the whole time, fun interactions between the two normal suitors

Less sympathetic Erik, all the names are changed, less horror, weirdly would have worked better if they did their original plan of having Erik be Christine's estranged father

Phantom of the opera (1983) - Maximilian Schell

Keeps the horror part intact I guess?? Prosthetics good

Everyone has different names, the main plot is changed for the worse and there is no levity, Erik is a creep even before his "transformation"

Good song as Erik's hallmark, good prosthetics, good casting and references to the book

Supernatural elements and changed backstop for Erik lessens sympathy for Erik, somewhat hard to follow plot

Great cast, keeps the spirit of love and tragedy from the book, all plot changes work well, SO SAD

Why change Raoul to Philippe? Some lip-syncing not so good

So for real tho I think she started out just wanting to live her best life but got sucked into the opera drama and the gravitational pull of these 2 idiots and she’s too sentimental and kind to cut ties plus they are both endearing in their own ways haha.

Uh but I guess Christine and Raoul are in a courtship or whatever (not quite going steady, but they would have taken down their respective tinder profiles) and Erik is in Schrödinger’s friendzone lmao like Christine is aware of his feelings but her sentiments range from exasperation, to fondness, to exasperated fondness to ????

She doesn’t want to abandon him bc he can be so uwu 🥺🥺🥺 so she’s like, “well the best thing for everyone would be for me to help my dear ‘friend’ Erik become a better person”!!

And conveniently this situation allows her to keep him in her life and spend a lot of time helping him be “good” without having to make an official decision about their relationship status.

(Although she doesn’t really seem to have a clear lesson plan… like, will teaching him how to do income taxes really improve his moral character or is it just an excuse to sit together on the couch for extended periods of time looking at “financial documents” that he probably forged anyway??? 🤔🤔🤔)

Irl I’m the person with the “I side-eyed Raoul BEFORE LND!!” bumper sticker (lol jk, I don’t drive) but idk if in the doodle universe Christine and Erik will be a real couple outside of his daydreams bc my brand of humour is more “poor fool he makes me laugh (but also sympathize with his plight)”, so I will leave that sort of thing to the fic writers haha

I think the version of the moment where Erik realizes Christine accepts him for who he is, whether that's physically, emotionally, or both. I'm just a sucker for a sad man who thinks he'll never have love in his life realizing he finally does

🤡 What's a line, scene, or exchange you've written that made you laugh?

One that gets my every time is this exchange between Erik and Raoul from Thanksgiving Dinner:

'Just as Erik was about to comment on his friend’s lack of culture, Raoul entered the room and rudely thrust a wine glass at him. He arched an eyebrow as the insolent boy took a seat, his own wine glass in hand. Erik tried to be the bigger person, truly he did, but the wretched boy made it so difficult sometimes.

“Something on your mind?” he asked innocently, and was rewarded with seeing Raoul instantly bristle. Ah, he was simply too easy to rile, Erik thought with satisfaction.

“Absolutely nothing.”

“Indeed? I thought as much, but it’s always nice to be validated.” Really, irritating the boy was no challenge at all.

Raoul had turned an unflattering shade of red, Erik noted with satisfaction. Just as he was about to return his attention to Nadir, the boy spoke again. “By the way, nice shirt, jackass.”

Erik slowly allowed his gaze to return to the boy. Why was he cursed? Why did every person in his life have to be so irritating? Except for Christine, of course.

He stared at Raoul until he flinched slightly, but still he refused to break Erik’s gaze. After a moment in which he determined the boy wouldn’t back down and look away, Erik answered his insult. “This shirt is to please Christine. Obviously if you knew more about how to do that, maybe you would still be with her.” By now fully done with the conversation, Erik turned away once again, but Raoul refused to take the hint.'

⛔️ Do you have a fic you started, but scrapped?

There's been a few one shots that I started that never went anywhere, but the only one that had enough there to come to mind is a story I started right before I had the idea for Second Chances. It was also a marriage of convenience story (surprise lol), where Christine knows Erik is a man and not an angel. Mamma Valérius gets sick, and Erik offers to pay for a doctor. Christine thinks he will only do it if she marries him, and he thinks Christine is marrying him because she wants to. I don't really know what else would happen though so I've never gone back to it

I would probably never do a time travel story

I can't see that ever happening for me. However, I'm happy to consider any prompts people might send my way. I actually have a great one in my inbox right now, I just need to get to it

🧠 Pick a character, and I'll tell you my favorite headcanon for them

This is a hard one for me, as I don't necessarily have strong headcanons. I think there are so many ways to see the story that I can get into many different interpretations of it. However, as far as what I like to write:

Erik: I like an Erik that was probably a very sensitive and kind child, and it was everything he encountered that made him the way he is, as in he became who he had to in order to survive. And I like to think that under the right circumstances, he could reclaim at least some of who he once was

Christine: I like to write a Christine that recognizes Erik as her 'person', at least on some level, but has to deal with feeling as though she shouldn't want him, both due to his actions and to outside pressures

🤲 Would you please share a snippet of a wip?

This is from a story I started last summer but haven't posted anything from yet:

'Trailing along after her father and M. Khan, Christine glanced up shyly at the tall man walking silently next to her. Uncertain if she should remain quiet or not, she decided to try venturing a question.

“Destler is an unusual last name. Is it British?”

Taking so long to answer that Christine had decided he wasn’t going to at all, M. Destler slowly shook his head. “No, it’s just a name I took by chance. I have no idea what the origin is.”

“Oh,” she answered weakly. He really was the strangest person she had ever encountered. “I’m sorry if I offended you, M. Destler.”

“Offended me? You haven’t. But, I would prefer that you call me Erik.”

“Of course,” she answered automatically, wondering if she was trapped in some kind of bizarre dream. Wanting to be polite, she added, “And, you may call me Christine.” Slightly encouraged by his brief nod at her words, she continued, “So, with the given name Erik, are you Scandinavian? I was born in Sweden.”

Again, he shook his head. “No, I’m not Scandinavian. I suppose you can say I’m not really from anywhere.”

Thankfully they had arrived at the wagon by this point, because Christine truly had no idea what to reply to that statement. Fortunately, M. Destler - or Erik, as he wanted her to call him - seemed to forget what they had been discussing, completely changing the subject.'

😬 Which of your fics would you be most horrified for friends, family, or coworkers to stumble upon?

💔 Is there a fic of yours that broke your heart?

Although it ends happily, one part of Second Chances really got to me as I was writing it, specifically Erik's internal monologue during the climax of the story. I'm not usually a crier, but I cried a little when I was writing that

Reader interaction means the world to me, and any questions about my fics are so welcome! The entire reason I started writing was because I was feeling some kind of way during the pandemic, and I think I wanted some kind of way to connect with people. And that's still true today, so yes please to any and all reader interaction!

Socks Reviews POTO Stockholm 2016 Act 1

Old!Raoul looks dead. He's barely looking up at the auction items. The guy holding the monkey music box is staring directly at the camera and he looks scared. Swedish occasionally sounds close enough to German/English that I am getting confused as to what language I'm watching this in. jfc everything was so quiet and then the music is so loud This is a really nice shot of the chandelier rising. A couple light flashes synchronised with the drums. Honestly this looks so much cooler than when I saw the show on Broadway. Clearly I need to invest in a pair of opera glasses if I'm going to go to see any more shows that come my way because I always end up sitting in the way back.

This Piangi is a tiny king The way the slavemaster snapped the whip right behind the one manager and made him jump XD This Piangi forgot his sword on the ground and had to wave madly for someone to hand it to him. The camera work for this is so steady. Way to go, filmer. Piangi looks so into Carlotta when she's singing Think of Me. King behaviour. The one manager stops the other when he starts clapping early. The fallen backdrop has only been raised partway and there's three guys who keep looking under it and just interacting with each other behind it. Excellent. Raoul is blonde and looks so babey Meg sounds like a teenager. Christine sounds, well, older but not old. And I love how their voices sound together. One is a bell, one is a chime. The phantom is angry here, I actually jumped Oh and we're back to the nasally tone at "I am your angel of music" damn it Joback, you gave me hope and immediately let me down. He does sound better on the bridge. Let's see how is MOTN goes. How tall is Joback? he's barely taller than Christine oh that was an energetic cape removal, and a fairly decent self-caress He certainly is touching himself a lot during MOTN. Like his chest and stomach. And hips. Not. elsewhere. Okay that was a great high note. Why can't he sound like that all the time? Decent sprawl. Glad we could see it. But it looked like Christine had second thoughts about kissing him, rather than noticing anything that might have stuck out about him 😏 Another hip stroke jeez my dude Christine flinching when he starts crawling toward her is great. It's not his face at this point, it's how Weird he's being. OH OH He reaches toward her with his right hand, and exposes his face for several seconds and she just stares at him before slowly looking away. And she looks directly at him again when she returns his mask. This Christine is fantastic. Raoul is so much taller than everyone. lol Meg almost tripped running up to announce the Phantom of the Opera, and that looked like a struggle for her to run offstage No screaming of "the BALLET" here but he did run into a couple of the dancers. Ooooh we got to see an extra cape twirl from the shadow phantom in his last appearance. Usually he just fills up the entire backdrop but this time he swished the cape and then ran off to the left. Witness it here:

Christine's rooftop cape is either white or a very pale shade of blue. Her countess dress is also very pale, and I love it. so much better than the radioactive cupcake tint she wears in other productions. Chrstine sounds great. It's an AIAOY so I guess R/C fans will be happy. Okay that was a very gentle kiss. Very nice. They sound great together! Sad man time! That is a very small angel statue. This guy barely does the minimum. Sadder! More emotion! At least he shouts. Safety harness spotted.

hii i was gonna ask about the mc haru au but i kinda stalked the tag and read some of your asks so i have some other questions if you have time! my first question was if sojiro and akiren(akira i guess in this au?) will meet and have their past dadxson relationship but i saw he starts working part time in le blanc /yeay/which; do his parents know about it? what do they think?

Second question; does goro and akira know the other knows about their previous timeline? or will they have a ‘oh he knows’ moment later?

Thirdd: i learned akira won’t have his past memories of the ng+ akira which kinda saddens me that the ng+ akira won’t be the one gaining persona or will he? like.. the palace will be about ng+kira’s parents but akira doesn’t know about them.. or is it the richer version of his own parents?? but still they sound like two different people with different lives idk how does that work? won’t ann realize akira isn’t like his usual self (since they are childhood friends they must be close?) /also villain ann is sooo good ahhhhh/

hello!! I am Ready to Answer some Questions!!!

so 1. Akira's parents don't know about him working at Leblanc (Akira sneaks away and works when his parents think he's studying or doing....... model.... stuff) and Sojiro's not going to snitch on him anytime soon.

hang on I do know the answer to question 2......... okay after searching through my Discord DMs it seems Jazzy and I have yet to choose an actual moment where they both realise they know BUT the two of them awaken in the new timeline about ~3 months prior to Haru moving to Leblanc and kicking off the story etc etc so in those 3 months I imagine they find each other? I swear we've discussed this hang on

okay so yeah the two of them manage to find each other in the few weeks before the 'game' kicks off and in that short timespan Goro manages to wreak havoc on half of Tokyo. Akira's obviously a bit more organised and trying to work out what's going on and why it's going on while Goro is alternating wildly between beating up shadows in Mementos and beating up people irl. he's full of rage.

third: this is actually a plot hole I have yet to deal with!! I've even noted it in the ol' Google Doc(TM)

obviously this is less of a problem for magician!Goro because he's kind of a magical construct rather than getting isekai'd into the Goro Akechi of this timeline (I know "isekai" isn't a verb and yet I will continue to use it like that) BUT I would assume that the Personas, awakenings, outfit theme, etc etc in IYR/RTG DO reflect the Akira of that timeline, or else we'd just get Joker with Arsene and Raoul and some other third guy again. like even though NG+Akira is in his body, canon!Akira is still somehow in there? merging of minds? oh god I'm making the plot hole into a plot canyon. help

also for the parents thing: Jazzy and I actually worked this out yesterday! Akira's parents in this timeline are essentially the same as his own in the original timeline but in the IYR/RTG timeline they managed to get lucky and started the modelling business thing. that way Akira still has an attachment to them without him being like [person just standing there emoji]

as for the fourth question: if I told you that, I'd have to recruit you into the Super Secret Writer's Room (although I'm sure you can piece together who Haru fights based on parallels to the original timeline and palace lineups!) (also pls note the attack was NOT unprovoked. Haru stepped into save a girl being harassed. she's not just going around kneeing people in the crotch.) (or is she?) (edit: I realised I've literally already answered this and I'm a fool lol it's Kamoshida!!)

1. Are you named after anyone?

Yup, I have my grandma's middle name "May." I'm also named after a plant/nature theme too even though that wasn't my parents goal lol "Amber Chloe May Brooks" = Stone from tree sap, an alternative name for Demeter, the goddess of the harvest, the month of spring, and a small river :) I like it as well casue it goes with my Spirit Name "Braided Sweetgrass Spirit Woman" also v plant/nature based

2. When was the last time you cried?

Ohhhh, last week on wednesday. I had a rough day at work and started tearing up when talking with a coworker

3. Do you have kids?

if you don't count the 90 students I watch at work, then nope, but I would love having my own one day :)

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

Sometimes its the only language my students understand, but honestly not that often, maybe like a couple times a week and mostly with my friends

5. What's the first thing you notice about people?

facial features, then little ticks they do that make me remember them (ie, hand movements, twitches, expressions, how they respond to something, etc.)

Brown

7. Any special talents?

uhhhhh, I'm good at helping other ppl and ppl feel open talking to me I guess?

Reading, playing video games, chatting with coworkers/friends

I don't do any sports now, but I used to play hockey, flag football, soccer, and figure skating when i was younger
