I love the friendship between Legend and Ravio and it's endless possibilities. Like imagine like at first glance it looks like Ravio's presence is nothing but an inconvenience to Legend. Like the grumpy vet seems to either look annoyed or put out whenever he's around the merchant.
But then like the group start to notice things they never did before.
Like they notice that despite Legend complaining about Ravio's overpriced weapons and merchandise, he's also Ravio's number one customer. He'll grumble and complain but by the goddesses if he isn't already pulling out his rubee pouch to get something from Ravio. Or they'll see how Legend gets defensive whenever someone decides to bad mouth the Lorulian. The Hyrulian will straight up be ready to throw hands if he hears someone talking shit and God forbid someone goes to be threatening towards him cuz it's immediately on sight for Legend.
Or they'll notice how whenever Legend seems stuck on something, whether it's a temple or magical item, the hero won't go to Fable, much to the others surprise. But rather he'll go to Ravio and ask him about it, and the Lorulian is always helpful and incredibly intelligent and wise when it comes to giving Legend advice. They also notice that Ravio's wisdom is scarily good, like Zelda levels of good. (Que them debating on whether the unassuming merchant might be the Wisdom holder of Lorule and perhaps getting their Zeldas opinions on it).
They notice that Ravio's opinion is actually pretty important to Legend and he's always including the bunny merchant in plans involving strategy and magic. Always listening inventively to Ravio's words and heeds of caution. Even though Legend will act like he isn't listening at all. They'll notice how protective the vet is of his counterpart, always making sure that he's okay whenever shit hits the fan. (Which Ravio usually is he's a tough cookie beneath the supposed cowardice). And if he's hurt Legend's quick to respond to help him.
Or they notice how Legend memorized Ravio's preferred foods or drinks or hobbies, even taking a small nonchalant interest in a few of them.
Just little things that they never noticed about their traveling companion before till they really paid attention to how he interacts with Ravio in their shared home.
Like there's so much here to explore you don't understand how much this eats at me-

(Some modern au for Thanksgiving)
Legend: See, I didn't want to help, but now I'm emotionally invested. This is your fault. You did this to yourself.
Warriors: Lege, the mashed potatoes tasted fine, you can be done!
Legend: *slams hand down on counter* YOU SAID, AND I QUOTE, "IT TASTES OK!" OK IS NOT FINE, WHAT ELSE DOES IT NEED!?
Hyrule: Does he always get like this over mashed potatoes?
Ravio: Legend is passionate about a lot of things, I've found its best not to think too hard about it.

Legend/Ravio fluff from a prompt from forever ago on the lu discord ahahhah
---------
"Uhm, Mr. Hero? Are you sure I'm doing it right?" asked Ravio.
It was a sunny day. For the first time in months, the chain finally ended back up in the Hyrule of the Hero of Legend's era. Ravio, as the hero of Lorule, was a bit insecure of his inability to wield a sword. He had both of his hands wrapped around the hilt of his sword, and his legs were in a proper position to move quickly if needed. Legend and Ravio stood in Legend's backyard.
"Well, I wouldn't say that it's great, but it's not bad," Legend replied, "though if you were to use a shield, you need to learn how to hold your blade in only your right hand."
Ravio unwrapped his left hand from the hilt.
"Like this?"
Legend gasped, "Oh, God, no. You need to make sure your sword isn't pointed at you. That's, like, basic swordplay law."
The vet made his way over to Ravio, standing behind him. He reached his arms around the Lorulian, and grasped his right hand with his. He placed his left hand over Ravio's. Legend guided Ravio's hand to the proper position, pointed slightly more outwards than before. Ravio quickly felt his face heat up, and light panic flooded his veins. This wasn't supposed to happen. He was not supposed to feel gay today, no sir-ee. This was a plain, simple, normal day, one where Hyrule's most experienced (and handsome) hero would teach him how to use weapons other than his magic rods and his hammer. Not. A. Gay. Day.
"Here," said Legend, "you want to make sure that you won't fucking stab yourself instead of stabbing others."
His hands were so soft, yet so scarred and callused. And blistered. And not actually very soft. Something was wrong with Ravio's brain. He both hated and loved the feeling Legend brought to him. Ravio dubbed it the 'Link feeling'. He was freaking out. Lots.
Legend was freaking out. Years before, when Ravio first broke into his home, he was terrified (embarrassingly so) of the intruder. Only 6 months later had he begun to catch feelings. He wasn't supposed to feel this way. Not again. Especially after Marin she-who-shall-not-be-named. He was done with feeling feelings. Done. Forever. He retired from feeling these feelings. The feelings he hated and loved so much. The fluttery feeling in his stomach he refused to call love, even though, logically, he knew that's what it was.
With his hand wrapped around Ravio's, he could only imagine what it would be like for their hands to be tangled under different circumstances. Though helping his counterpart learn to wield a sword certainly wasn't a bad experience, he would've rathered if they were holding hands to feel close to one another. To feel loved.
With each second he guided Ravio's hands, his face grew warmer. Until, eventually, Ravio finally got the position down. He turned his head around to ask a question, and his feet was met with Legend's mere centimeters away. Their faces grew red, but neither could bare to break their shared gaze.
"Hey, Ravio?" Legend asked, albeit nervously.
"Yeah, buddy?" Ravio replied.
"No homo, but I thinkIhaveacrushonyouandIreallywanttokissyou."
"Sorry, repeat that?" questioned Ravio, slightly panicked.
Legends face grew red. "I'm not sure I can put it into words. Can I," he started, "can I show you?"
Ravio nodded, and Legend placed his hand on the taller's cheek. His eyes fell to his counterparts lips. He leaned in, and pressed his own lips over Ravio's in a loving embrace. Ravio leaned impossibly further into the kiss, and Legend turned his head to the side to deepen it. Ravio wrapped his hands around Legend's waist as the shorter moved his arms around Ravio's shoulders. They nipped at each other's lips, begging for more. Before they could get any further, a cry sounded from the back door.
"Guys! Wild made din-" yelled Wind, before he saw the sight before him, "WOAH! What the fuck?! I know it's your house, but ew! Get a room, you two!" Wind ran back inside the house and slammed the door, utterly disgusted. Ravio and Legend peeled apart from one another, and gave each other a horrified look before bursting out into laughter.
"Jeez, that kid sure is something isn't he?" exclaimed Ravio.
"Well, that's certainly one way to put it, Rav!" cackled Legend.
It was a sunny day, and Ravio and Link looked into each other's eyes lovingly, holding hands before they led one another back inside the home, forgetting Ravio's now long-lost sword.

I have this head canon that Link and Ravio make items together. In a lot of stuff I’ve read Links cottage is protected by a lot of spells and wards, so I got to thinking how those got there?
My conclusion was that what Link lacks in magic, Ravio makes up for. In other words, link is the strength and Ravio is the power.
This also offers the fun activity of creating weapons and rings together.
In linked universe, I think it’d be cool for the chain to see legend smithing rings, necklaces, weapons, whatever and Ravio enchanting them.
This also provides the potential for legend and Ravio to kick ass in a battle together. Like on their own both are plenty able to defend themselves, but together they dominate the battle field.

Legend wanting to do something reckless: I think we should do this thing.
Ravio ominously: Mr. Hero I don't think that'd be too wise to do.
Legend: Rav, it'll be fine trust me. I got this.
Later at Legend's House
Legend comes back beaten up and looking incredibly miffed
Ravio not even looking up from his tea: So.......
Legend throwing his hands up: Ugh! Fuck! You were right it wasn't wise!
Ravio: Ah music to my ears.
Legend: I hate you sometimes.

LU Headcanon for Ravio!!
Look out, angst ahead.
Ravio was the hero of Lorule, so it stands to reason that he would have once been trained depending on when his hero status was discovered.
The headcanon here is that Ravio once served as a knight in Lorule's army, and there are two reasons for him to not want to be the hero.
1. He felt pressured and overwhelmed by the expectations of being a hero.
And 2. I'm sure in the conflict during and after the destruction of Lorule's triforce many people d!ed, including people close to Ravio. The pressure and loss combined drove him away from his calling and made him seem like a coward.
