I normally just leave opinions as 'if we disagree we disagree' but I found your post comparing the golden core transfer and consent in remarkably bad taste. I don't care how passionate you are about this fictional book comparing the real fucking trauma rape victims have gone through the shit we have experienced to fictional xianxia surgery is so so disrespectful rape victims are more important then a fucking fictional consent argument. Thanks.
i had to go back and search for what the fuck you’re talking about, bc initially i thought you were talking about this post and i was like ??? and then i realized you probably meant the initial tags on this other post (which…there’s a reason it wasn’t in the actual post, which was a salt/rant post to begin with.)
sorry you found my off the cuff rant in response to some of the abhorrent things people have said about consent while trying to argue that wwx was 100% in the right (see the aforementioned posts), and my comparison of a horrific violation of consent, agency, and bodily autonomy to *checks notes* a different but also horrific violation of consent, agency, and bodily autonomy to be in poor taste but like. not actually.
bc i personally find it to be in poor taste when a fictional character lies to someone whose agency and bodily autonomy was violated and was traumatized by the experience in order to get them to “agree” to another violation of agency and bodily autonomy (but it’s fictional, so whatever.)
but i find it in even poorer taste for real life people to claim that actually that character did nothing wrong; consent was given and there was no violation. or if there was a violation, it’s his own fault, and he should have known better.
bc it’s true that fictional xianxia surgery doesn’t exist, but consent, agency, and bodily autonomy DO, and if real people have used their real world judgement to conclude that THIS situation was consensual—especially if they bend over backwards, unironically using the same arguments used to discredit survivors of rape to argue as such—that’s a red flag.

Today was incredibly terrible in real life so imagine my surprise when I got this extremely cursed toy out of the Neopies???? (For those of you who don't go here, that's a good thing. OMG.)
Anyway, a while ago I played with a neopoints-only Malevolent Sentient Poogle Plushie custom and ended up with this very silly concept, so I might go for a silly hacker-related pet name (I found one that's free!), but I should not make these decisions this late at night.

@avispatr - liked for a starter!
"Hey there, mister. I uh... I can't tell. Are you lost? Or am I lost?" Her hand waved to their surroundings a moment before her fingers sank into her wavy hair - confusion evident on her face. After a moment she began pacing about, "I can't remember. Is it late? It looks late. I'm not supposed to be out late in this town." Was it even still the same town? Nothing looked right. Or did it? The young woman merely groaned quietly to herself.

patches for the character bingo?
I will be speaking about Bloodborne incarnation specifically, since I main this one I guess...?
Honestly, there should be some way to mathematically calculate how much the character is slept on that factors both fandom particularly wasting a potential and... well, actual potential drawn FROM the canon. Because I am physically not able to imagine MORE slept-on character than Bloodborne Patches o_o' Like, for example, sleeping on Yurie or Emilia or idk, Yahar'gul hunters is fair as they do not offer anything grandiose to begin with, but sleeping on Bloodborne Patches? The character that is said to become a spider through knowledge, is part of some cult of spiders with human heads known as Nightmare Apostles, possible explanation to how Rom is 'Spider', works with legit Great One, might have been a Byrgenwerth scholar himself, like... There are just so many lore things about just the fact that he exists?
...Or maybe it is just all in my head and yet again I try to pretend that it is not me overthinking, but other people UNDERthinking. :pensive:
Either way there is no point in commenting on Patches' charisma that is both charming and annoying as all heck, this is self-explanatory, but I am very intrigued by his possible history! I also don't know why devs removed the bit where Lonely Old Dear was going to be his mother. xD Was it done so fans have to take guesses whether he is a normal Yharno or one of the inhabitants of the dungeons? (Nightmare Apostles are found there too)
He is a very good character though, his Bloodborne incarnation is super good and I personally think this is the best version of him. (I am also biased because I fuckin love fluffy spiders so much, he had NO right to make his body perfect but he does what he wants ig xD)
