He was the one who told Haru the right words for him to realize his feelings ("I want to swim with Rin") and gave in if put in the relay (THE RELAY THAT WAS SO SO IMPORTANT FOR THE TEAM AND AAAAAAH)

Great swimming teacher, literally thanks to him is that Nagisa, Haru and Makoto know how to swim well in the first place

Makoto's father figure (this is more of a hc and something I wish would have been explored more but I'm still putting it in)

He always believed that the boys could go far and gave them his full support when the swimming club was just starting

Provided pizza to the team (very important lmao)

He literally witnessed the entire angst moment between Rin and Haru (when Rin camel back from Australia im talking abt THE MOMENT) and if it wasn't for him, Makoto would never have found out what happened

rebuilt the swim club and is literally helping the new generation to enjoy swimming

Alright, I understand that this blog sent this exact same ask to other blogs that are mostly about Free and I'm pretty sure that Fee already answered this better than I could so go check her answer.

Haruka: Haruko. Like that girl from Slam Dunk. Yep.

Makoto: Megumi. I personally like this name, almost everything that ends with "I" sounds cute for me (probably because my first language is spanish). Can you imagine. Megumi Tachibana. I love it.

Hey! I would love to hear your thoughts on how style 5 would react to their sweet girlfriend admitting she feels very safe with them, which is significant bc she grew up in an abusive household. If this makes you uncomfortable pls delete it!!

Haru

He's pretty sensitive himself, even if it might be hard to see it at times.

So when Haru began noticing how you've been letting your "guard down" around him for a while, he can't help but think about the things you told him about your past and the abusive relationships in your life.

He knows it must have been hard, and it must have taken a toll on how you relate to people now.

The moment you tell him about how at peace and safe you feel when you're together, he can't help but smile.

He acknowledges how important it is that you feel comfortable enough to even share this with him. So he lets you know how much that means to him with physical affection (he still believes he's great with words), if you’re comfortable with that. If not, he’d treat you to your favorite meal.

Makoto

It probably was very early into the relationship when you realized how comfortable and safe it always felt with Makoto. He’s truly one of the nicest people you know, and he’s specially sweet with you being his s/o.

He’d be beaming with joy and confidence when you let him know, he’ll feel warm and special, too. Either he will be melting into a puddle of tears from his uncontrollable sobbing or he will be all smiles for the rest of the week (maybe even month????). Or maybe both, in that same order.

What’s safe to say, he won’t ever let you go, figuratively and literally speaking. Bear hugs, lots of bear hugs. Beware.

Rei

He could cry on command after you tell him how you feel, honestly.

Rei is very knowledgeable about the psychology behind being constantly exposed to abusive environments, because after you told him your story, he spent weeks researching how he could help you feel more comfortable and what not to do.

He’d be happy that his research worked and he was about to tell you about it when you thanked him for being so nice to you. Then, he realizes you are really nice to him too. And maybe his research wasn't everything there is to how close your relationship has grown.

Rei loves you, and he wants to make you feel special when you're together, and even maybe when you're not, if possible. He lets you know, and makes sure you feel free to tell him whenever something’s wrong at all.

Nagisa

It would mean the world to him; he'd be very blushy and would let out soft giggles.

Nagisa would probably brag about it with everyone he knows, maybe even to strangers. Your barista taking your order? Sure, why not? “Hey! My lovely y/n feels very safe with me! I’m a good boyfriend!!”

You might earn a few weird looks from weird people, but most of them would smile back and congratulate your relationship.

He will never let go of your hand, he will protect you until the end of his days. Nagisa seriously feels so proud that he can make you feel this way, so he will give you lots of love so it can stay that way.

Rin

At first, it would take him a minute to process. But then, he'd become unnoticeably flustered, slightly turning his face away from you, and pulling you in for a side hug.

After the big knot in his throat softens up, he'll mumble a little "me too".

He didnt quite grow up in an abusive household, but his childhood was in fact neglectful, so he can very much understand what you mean. And he feels the same way about you. He really won destiny's lottery or perhaps saved an entire country in his past life.

Rin is very glad you're by his side; and, if going through a tough childhood was the price he had to pay to be able to experience the level of fulfillness he has with you... He'd go through it again, no doubt.

A/n: this is from that one tik tok challenge! But I was inspired by @onetouchq to do this! go check out her hq version! <3 also I could’ve done this in teams but oh well :3

Haru

Good luck trying to get him up 🤡

Mhmm especially when he’s got himself wrapped around like that^

He clearly doesn’t want to be bothered

It’s gonna be pretty early in the morning (for him atleast) so we’re gonna say around 8am

“psst Haru!” you gently start to shake him awake, voice sounding urgent

Haru just groans, burying himself deeper into the covers

“Haru! You have to wake up! My boyfriend’s here! You have to hide! Hurry!” You give him a push

He ends up rolling off the bed

Haru lets out a grunt, actually complying as you urge him under the bed

It’s really too funny lmao mans just wants his sleep

Makoto

Here we have another heavy sleeper

“Makoto...Makoto!” You whisper in his ear, shaking his shoulder

“Hmmm?”

You felt bad, really, for bothering him like this

“Makoto you have to get up, my boyfriend is coming!”

“Huh?” Is all a half asleep Makoto can muster as he begins to stir

“Makoto!!! You have to hide! Hurry he’s almost here!”

This is where Makoto shoots up, his body awake but his mind still groggy

“Ahhh! Who! Who’s coming?!” He feels around the sheets, panicking

You bite your lip, holding back your laughs as you try shoving him into a corner

“Hurry Makoto! My boyfriend is almost here!”

“...b-boyfriend...?” Makoto curls up in the space between the bed and dresser, his mind still trying to register your words

“Wait, boyfriend?!”

Nagisa

You carefully tried prying his arms off of your torso

It didn’t help that he was a tree hugger in his sleep

You took this opportunity to turn around to face him, slightly tapping his cheeks

“Hey Nagisa!” You whispered

“Nagisa wake up!”

“nnnhh ah 5 more minutes...(y/n)-chan...”

“No Nagisa you have to get up right now and hide! My boyfriend is coming!”

Nagisa sits up on the bed, rubbing his eyes

“What are you talking about (y/n)-chan...I am your boyfriend.” Nagisa wraps his arms around your torso once again, pulling you both back into bed

Rei

“Reeeeeiii! Hey Rei!”

After another long study sesh, Rei had crashed right on his desk, his body limp in the chair

“Reiiii!” You shook him again.

“What’s wrong (y/n)...I told you that we can do the rest tom...orrow...”

“Rei you have to hide! Like right now!”

“Hide?...why?”

“My boyfriend is here!” You back out his rolling chair, getting ready to push it into his closet

you can’t help but stifle a laugh as Rei’s head falls back on the chair, the boy mumbling incoherently in his sleepy state

You finally manage to push his chair in the closet, closing the door as you lean against it, slamming your hand over your mouth

“...boyfriend...WAIT BOYFRIEND?!”

Rin

The moment he came back from practice, Rin had crashed right onto the couch not even bothering to change his clothes

You sought this as the perfect opportunity to prank him

“Rinnnn!” You quickly rush by his side, urging him in hushed tones to get up

“Rin! He’s here! My boyfriend is here! Please you have to hide!”

“Hmmm?”

You shook him again and then pulled on his arm

“Baby you have to hide.”

“Hide?...but where?” Rin was like a little baby in his sleep making you go absolutely 😣❤️

“The shower! You can go hide in the shower! Just hurry before he comes!”

Rin grunts, letting himself get dragged by you into the bathroom

You push aside the shower curtain as Rin steps inside

A giggle accidentally slips out your lips as you pull the curtain back in it’s place

Poor Rin is so confused, rubbing his forehead as it finally hits him

“O-Oi!”

You held your stomach in laughter as he stepped out giving you a bemused look

“That’s not funny” he flicks your forehead, you laughing out an apology

“Okay but seriously Rin...shower.”

Natsuya

“Hey, hey, Natsu!”

Seeking out the perfect opportunity to play this prank, you took advantage of Natsuya’s dazed out state from his alcohol intake

He was currently napping in your shared bedroom, his flushed face in the midst of pillows with a blanket lazily draped over his torso

Entering into the bedroom, you made sure to prop up your phone in an ideal spot and pressed record as you quietly made your way to Natsuya’s sleeping form

“Natsuya!” You pulled off the blanket and turned him onto his back

“Natsu! Hurry baby get up!”

Just how much did he drink?

“Natsuya! Get up! You have to hide!”

Natsuya stirred, turning back onto his side, nuzzling further into the warmth of the pillows

You huffed before trying again, this time shaking him more aggressively, sometimes even lightly slapping his face

“Natsuya my boyfriend! He’s here, you have to hide Natsu! Hurry and get up!”

“Hmm?” Natsuya hummed in your direction

“My boyfriend, Natsuya! Get up so you can hide! My boyfr-”

Eyes closed, natsuya grinned as he pulled you into his chest, nestling into the crook of your neck

“I am your boyfriend silly.”

SERIOUS S/O BURSTS OUT LAUGHING | Iwatobi

Haru:

It all happened unintentionally.

My man will probably not even try to make you laugh for the first time

It's cannon that he has a weird sense of humor. For Japanese standards.

He is super sarcastic

He was just hanging out with you and he made some snarky remark at something already stupid

And that's when he heard it

The second you start laughing he goes 😮

My boy might start a stand up carreer.

Not only someone finally understands his sense of humor but he made bae laugh too???

He won the lottery

He will now try to be extra funny whenever you're around

Everyone else may be confused because they think you're both weirdos but Haru couldn't care less, you're laughing and find him funny, that's all he needs

Makoto:

Makoto is not exactly the funny type.

Not intentionally, at least.

He's really clumsy as a whole and he's very nervous.

I imagine it's an important date, not necessarily an anniversary or anything, just him trying to be romantic like in movies by taking you to a nice fancy restaurant.

He's delightful company and a top tier boyfriend, but I imagine things could go really wrong if he tries too hard for them to be perfect.

Like, from the beginning, he messed up the reservations during rush hour so the restaurant he saw in that magazine (bc my man is cannonically the type that trusts those) so he gets nervous that he ruined the date until you suggest eating at home in your apartment.

(Since his has few cutlery and measuring cups are not exactly romance enhancing).

He feels bad for ruining the date so he offers to be the one to cook, ignoring the fact that he can barely make decent sunny side eggs and like 2 mackerel dishes Haru taught him.

You go to a convinience store and purchase some ingredients to make pasta and alcohol free sider (he a good responsible boy), and make it to his place.

It all goes wrong from the second he opened the ravioli bag, he used too much strength and a few flew out... that should've been a warning that things would only go downhill from there.

He almost forgot the salt and oil on the water with the pasta.

When he was opening the can with tomato sauce he may have squeezed it a bit too hard and a few splattered on the kitchen wall.

He panicked when the boiling water started... well bubbling.

Despite your countless times.

But the epitome of chaos was when he learned, tomato sauce bubbles and boils too.

He reacts barely fast enough to cover his face with the rag. But his shirt doesn't make it out alive and he ends up with a bunch of red stains on his shirt and a hard blush on his face to match.

Specially when the high-pitched hiccupy giggles that he soon realized were coming from his lover.

R.I.P. Makoto. He's dead, not only is he flustered but your laugh is the sweetest sound he has ever heard.

Once you've calmed down and he's recovered from dead by adorable he finally admits cooking is not his forte so he finally accepts help.

The rest of the evening is lovely but maybe... just maybe suggesting watching a comedy movie of your choosing is so he has a chance to hear you laugh again. Just maybe.

Rei:

I'm willing to bet money that it was unintentionally over doing something embarrassing to him.

Like, you are chatting in class, well mostly it's because he's lost in one of his cute theory rambles.

You're listening to it ocassionally asking questions that Rei is more than delighted to answer.

It's so nice to hear him talk but another cute yet back-firing side of him not paying attention is that it often gets him in trouble.

Like signing up for a for a class reading play that for once he didn't know.

He ended up reading in the most monotone and stiff tone ever which instead of a charming prince made him sound like robot.

And Nagisa's robot noises only seemed to embarrass him further.

He is red in the face and collapsed when the on his desk when the class ended.

Nagisa comes to tease him while you're trying to tell him it wasn't so bad.

Rei just yells at him to shut up, but their cute banter is interrupted by a stream of laughter from you.

Nagisa teases Rei that his poor acting skills were at least useful for comedic sense.

And, yeah, he's right.

Nagisa:

Nagisa is usually one to cause laughing among his group of friends with his sporadic ideas and random non-filtered comments.

But you were different.

He loved you more than anyone, but he had not seemed to make you laugh.

You just seemed too calm all of the time, not serious like Haru but you didn't seem to react too strongly to anything he did.

You just calmly tagged along or declined.

He just tries everything.

His most recent plot is forcing everyone to make tell jokes and funny stories by the pool to see if someone manages to make you laugh.

You tag along without knowing his true intentions.

Everyone has a great time.

Because some are genuinely funny like Rin, Asahi, and surprisingly Kisumi.

Omg it's been literally years, but i just happened to stumble upon my old Free! blog and found this gem because: friend, same. I have a similar skin condition. I literally have to wear hoodies and pants ALL YEAR LONG or my skin gets weird (sometimes painful) allergic reactions and it kinda pops and peels off...(?) and sometimes swimming makes it worse because of the sunscreen and pool chemicals.

So...

Haru:

LATE NIGHT SWIM ESCAPADES, HEAR ME OUT.

He’ll understand if you’d rather not swim during the days, but when the sun starts going down, he’d take you for sunset walks and night swimming dates (I’m sorry, but if you wanna date Haru, swimming or chilling in the pool/water is a must), or maybe, when youre not in the mood, you’ll watch him from the sides of the pool or shore.

He’ll come out of the pool sometimes to give you kisses.

I think he’ll be pretty chill about everything, wont make a big deal about it (not like Rei *cough, cough*), but he’ll help you if you ever need support.

Makoto

He’s just a sweetheart, okay?

He’ll even sort of give up going out for a swim during the day because if youre not there it really doesnt make sense. But he’ll often take you swimming to indoor pools, if you ever want to!!

God, he’d help you put on sunscreen *eye-covering monkey emoji* E V E R Y T I M E.

Isn’t that kinda good?

(Listen, I hate wearing and applying sunscreen, but if Makoto offered himself to help, who am i to tell him no?)

He’ll make sure all your dates are under-a-roof settings, unless you want it otherwise, and in that case, he’d be mindful of anything you might need.

At first, he'd be like ???? babe, what??? Allergic??? To the sun???

But after a few hours of research on medical websites and academic articles, he’d be very worried (and pretty much over protective) everytime you guys go out.

He’ll also be very apologetic about all those times he asked you to come watch them during practice.

He’ll always pack stuff that’s useful for you if you ever need, whether that is sunscreen, a long-sleeved shirt, if you take any medication, or whatever else you’ve told him that helps.

You’d giggle a lot, sometimes it seems he’s the one with a sun allergy from how much he worries about yours. Just his ways of showing how much he loves you.

You’re his own personal cute vampire (?)

He’ll often tell you how cute you look wearing the layers of clothes you sometimes wear so you’ll avoid the sunrays (he’ll be specially nice about it if he ever notices youre self-conscious about your looks or outfit).

He’ll try to remind you of useful stuff, like meds, that you might need to cool down, or if you get any blisters, he’ll hold your hand so you can’t poke at them.

He’ll be easy going and not ask too much unless you tell him about it so that you dont feel overwhelmed, but he’d be very observant and pay attention to small details so youre more comfortable.

He will ALWAYS carry cute umbrellas for the both of you, and when you guys go swimming at the sea, he’d wear matching long-sleeved swimsuits with you.
