notes from bloom: hi guys. i know it’s been a minute, i’ve been losing my motivation to write recently. but i rewatched all of free last week and i remembered how much i was in love with rin and makoto so without further ado, here’s a little gift ❣️

Haruka Nanase

🫧 Haruka loves to spend most of his time in the water, so obviously this means many, many swim dates

🫧 And lots and lots of mackerel

🫧 He loves swimming with you though, he loves you almost as much as he loves water. You can’t ever keep up with him when he tries to race you, but he’s learned to slow down for you.

🫧 His favorite thing about you is the fact that you’re supportive of everything he does. Haru wants to practice? You’ll help him achieve a new personal best. He wants to go shopping? You’ll help him pick out the best outfits and swim suits.

🫧 He also loves to cook with you. You’re an amazing cook, so he really loves when you sleep over and get to cook breakfast for him. You know he loves mackerel, but you try to get him to eat real breakfast foods from time to time.

🫧 Speaking of which, since Haru lives alone, ever since he started dating you he’s come to hate being alone. He wants you to be there with him, so he invites you to sleep over often.

🫧 Believe it or not, he’s super touch starved, so he’s probably gonna want to be held while he sleeps the first few times you sleep together. He loves being the little spoon.

🫧 He does have the annoying habit of not locking the door though. Makoto will come to wake the two of you up and almost forgets about it upon seeing Haru snuggled into you, your arms wrapped around him tight.

🫧 Makoto is Haru’s number one cheerleader, he’s so happy for you two. He’s Haru’s best friend, so it makes him happy to have Makoto’s support.

Makoto Tachibana

🫧 Makoto is a soft, simple man, the pure definition of gentle giant.

🫧 And that surely translates into your relationship.

🫧 He’s a romantic, he has the biggest heart you’ve ever seen. He wants to hold you, feed you, care for you, and protect you.

🫧 He’ll take you out for picnics, on coffee dates, even swim dates too once in a while. Beach dates are also common in the summer

🫧 Mako’s favorite dates with you though are the ones where he gets to take you out with his friends. He’s all about family and he loves his friends, he wants to be able to incorporate his time with you sometimes with his time with them

🫧 And it works because his friends love you, all of them. Haru, Ikuya, and Asahi. Some days after classes you meet up with them at Asahi’s sister’s place.

🫧 He also loves cat cafe dates. He loves getting to pet all the kitties that want his attention, and he’s always more than happy to give it to them. He secretly wants to adopt a cat with you, but he’ll save sharing that thought for another day.

🫧 He loves feeding you. He loves knowing he’s the reason you’re eating well. He’ll cook for you, and he loves to cook with you. And if you hate deciding what to eat then that’s okay to, because he’ll remember all of the foods you love, and pay attention to what you don’t like.

🫧 Very big spoon. He loves to hold you and protect you from anything outside of your bubble. He’s so large around you it sends you into sub-space sometimes, in a non sexual way of course. He just makes you feel that safe and loved.

🫧 He’s very attentive towards you. Sometimes you might feel out of place, but he’s always quick to try and make the bad feelings go away before they can fester. He wants to be the reason you smile.

🫧 Overall, if your future husband isn’t Makoto, you don’t want him. There is no one more perfect to you.

Nagisa Hazuki

🫧 Nagisa is pretty hyper and all over the place so buckle in for the ride

🫧 He loves to sneak off with you during lunch. Sometimes he’ll invite Rei, but where’s the fun in that?

🫧 Rei is often left third wheeling since Nagisa hates excluding him, but Rei never minds it because he loves you.

🫧“You and Nagisa are like night and day, so how did he manage to get you to fall in love with him?” He’ll always ask, but you’ll just shrug and give Nagisa a kiss on the cheek.

🫧 Nagisa loves inviting you to swim practice. You aren’t a member of the team, but he loves having you there to watch him show off compared to the other guys. Having you there motivates him to do his very best.

🫧 You’ll bring snacks and hand them out after they finish practice. Nothing horrific like Gou that one time with the chocolate filled rice balls, and Rei appreciates that you always try to pick up fruit or protein bars.

🫧 He looks forward to Sundays. He tries to plan surprises for you every Sunday. It could be a trip to the beach, a visit at the aquarium, or even out to play laser tag, we all know he’s a child at heart.

🫧 Definitely likes being the little spoon, but will be the big spoon if you’re having a bad day. He knows he feels safe and loved in your arms, so he knows you need that same feeling sometimes too.

🫧 He can’t cook but he’ll definitely feed you cookies by hand that’s for sure. He knows what your favorite snacks are.

🫧 Dating Nagisa definitely comes with a new adventure every day.

Rei Ryugazaki

🫧 Rei learned from books on how to be a good boyfriend.

🫧 Unfortunately Rei should know by now that not everything works with the answers in books. Some things just take time and practice.

🫧 Relationships are one of those things. And you are always ever so patient with Rei.

🫧 Your patience is definitely his favorite thing about you. You’re always helping him in the life skills department, while he’s always helping you in book smarts.

🫧 He’s a baker. He always thought ladies loved sweets more than they loved anything, so he picked up baking somewhere in life. He bakes for you all the time, so make sure you have a sweet tooth for him

🫧 He likes to take you out to try new foods, and it ends up becoming your go to date idea.

🫧 Rei also loves doting on you. He wants to hold your hand all the time, and he’ll hand you things with a soft kiss to your temple. He’d wash dishes and fold your laundry if you lived together.

🫧 Rei is also probably lenient when it comes to being big or little spoon, he doesn’t care as long as he’s close to you. This man loves cuddles from you, he swears they recharge his brain after a long day or training.

🫧 Rei would probably enjoy running with you in the morning though. He loves working out with you, whether it’s running or lifting weights or doing core exercises he’s all over it.

🫧 Rei loves to just make sure you’re healthy and happy, he’ll strive to be the best boyfriend you’ve ever had

Rin Matsuoka

🫧 Biggest drama queen. He’s an Aquarius so you shouldn’t expect anything less than dramatics

🫧 But he’s also very attentive and sweet with you. You’re such a good thing to him and he wants to smother you in his affection.

🫧 Rin loves to travel though. And that definitely is a perk when it comes to dating him. He’ll fly you both out to Australia for a week and take you on a grand tour.

🫧 He’s a foodie. He’s not the best cook but he definitely knows where the best food is at. Every Saturday after he’s out of swim practice he’ll take you out to eat somewhere new.

🫧 He’s probably the type of guy to not care about PDA too much. Always wants to hold your hand, and he’s not scared to give you casual kisses in front of others. You’re his, he should be allowed to show you off as such.

🫧 He’s also the jealous type. One time Seijuro Mikoshiba tried hitting on you, and that did not go well. Rin had you underneath him in his bed no more than 20 minutes later.

🫧 Rin is a certified big spoon. He values you so much and he wants to protect you from anything or anyone that could hurt you. He’d hold you all through the night too, not wanting to risk anything happening.

🫧 When high school was almost over, Rin wanted to go back to school in Australia for a little while. He practically begged you to come with him.

🫧 And considering you were also ready to start a new chapter, you picked a university out in Sydney. He was so happy you were accepted in, and that you’d be starting this chapter with him.

🫧 Besides, it’s not like you’d never come back. You supported the hell out of Rin and his dreams.

Valentines Day with the Free! Boys 🌹

𝙆𝙞𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙢𝙖 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙨𝙪𝙮𝙖 🍰꒷︶꒦

Natsuya is a gentleman(child).

He crushes on you every time he's with you. It's like highschool all over again.

He's very romantic. Will write you a love letter, and put his favorite picture of you two in it. Takes you to an amusement park and gets you cute plushies from the claw machines. (Not to mention how you two share a cotton candy, it’s so freaking cute >_<)

He's so soft with you. Always holding your hand. You're very playful with Natsuya, so when you boop his nose with yours he just gets so flustered and melts internally, even though he's a grown man.

Gifts you a mixtape with all the songs he dedicates to you. (And the songs that reminds him of you.) Man's is just smitten for you.

“Gosh.. why’d you have to be so cute” Natsuya mumbles under his breath as he watches you play an arcade game.

You both cuddle and watch movies all night. And of course, he didn't forget your gift. Gets you matching starfish rings with him.

“Cute,” he mumbles as he sees your figure asleep on his chest.

a/n: welcome to my xmas special for the free boys !! i would do anything to do anything domestic w rin like pls let me LEMME AT HIM. anyways, i left ikuya/kisumi/asahi outta this because i could NOT think of anything for them. AND ONCE AGAIN: REIGISA FOR LIFE, I AINT WRITING X READER FOR THEM. pls enjoy 🎄

nanase haruka actually enjoys watching christmas movies. he likes to make you dinner (mackerel) beforehand and get cozy underneath the kotatsu while you debate which movie you should watch.

haru always chooses to watch elf, for some reason. you don't know why and he won't say why. but you always end up watching it with haru’s head resting in your lap and your fingers threading through his hair.

“you're laughing.” haru points out during the snowball scene in the movie, a soft smile reaching his eyes and making them crinkle. you raise an eyebrow at him before looking back up at the screen.

“yeah, elf’s funny!”

“i know, that's why i chose it.”

“because you think it's funny? i haven't seen you laugh once, haru!” you ruffle his hair lightly, earning a small whine from him.

“no, because you laugh. and i like it when you laugh. it's nice.” haru says simply, not taking his attention away from the screen. you raise your eyebrows as you look down at your introverted, sometimes emotionally constipated boyfriend.

of course, he's said romantic and sweet things to you before, but it always catches you off guard. his blatant honesty always comes out of nowhere and squeezes your heart till you're breathless.

you resume combing through his feather soft, raven black hair with your fingers and sigh happily. you're never exactly sure how to respond, but you knew that haru was never one for words anyways.

matsuoka rin believes he's a master at decorating christmas cookies. he stands behind you and tries to make it romantic by placing his hands over yours while you try to draw cute little drawings on the cookies.

but it really just ends up in a petty argument, much to both your chagrin and your delight. riled up rin is one of your favorite types of rins.

“why are you fighting me so much? i'm literally steering you in the right direction.” rin points a finger at the lopsided christmas tree on one of the cookies. “what is that?”

“christmas tree.” you answer with a shrug, purposely acting with such simple resolve that it made rin exasperated almost immediately.

“why does it look like that, though? it's uneven!”

“well, it has its own style!” a sly smile spreads across your lips. “looks like you could stand to have some, too.” you inch toward him with the piping bag in your hands, before quickly reaching up and swiping a glob of green frosting across rin’s cheek.

he narrows his eyes at you and grabs a piping bag from the counter, squeezing till some frosting squirts out and hits you in the nose.

this continues on for longer than the two of you would've liked, since now the kitchen and your bodies are covered in red, white, green, blue, and yellow frosting.

“i'm sorry.” rin huffs stubbornly, taking a wet paper towel and starting to wipe down the counter. “i just wanted the cookies to be perfect.”

you chuckle at rin’s furrowed eyebrows and slide up to him, splaying your hands against his chest while you hug him from behind. “who says they have to be perfect?”

he turns around in your hold, a soft smile relaxing his features. he takes your face in his hands, and you can tell he's fighting the blush that is breaking out across his cheeks. “perfect cookies for a perfect girlfriend?”

you smile and lean up to press a kiss to his blue frosting speckled cheek. “sweet.” you grin at him, licking your lips.

“now, let's go get cleaned up, hmm?” rin flashes you a toothy grin before grabbing you, tossing you over his shoulder with ease, and carrying you off to the bathroom.

tachibana makoto is a master at decorating the christmas tree, since he's had tons of practice helping his younger siblings do it. you've not met another man with a better eye for design than makoto. there was one thing that he absolutely could not do, however, which would leave him totally depressed and helpless if he ever decorated a christmas tree by himself. the star.

sometimes he's tall enough to just stand on the tip of his toes and plop the star down, but he likes to get big and majestic trees. and he just can't do it.

he's afraid of the height. although it's a mere six feet up off the ground, which he already naturally is, it's something about getting up on a ladder and falling such a short distance onto the hard ground below that makes his stomach churn.

but, of course, he has you to do this for him!

“okay, ready?” makoto’s arms are encircling your knees and he's squatting below you, ready to lift you up whenever you’re ready. you've got the star in hand, all whites and yellows and gems and sparkles—it's makoto’s favorite thing. his weakness.

“ready whenever you are, mako!” you smile down at him and he hoists you up, holding steady while you situate the star on top of the tree until you're satisfied with the look. he carefully lowers you back down and holds you by the shoulders while you flip the switch to turn on the christmas tree.

the christmas tree glitters and shines in all of its white and gold glory while you and makoto look on in pure joy. he leans down to press a soft kiss to the top of your head and wraps his around around your shoulders, bringing you back to rest against his chest.

“couldn't have done it with you, y/n.” he sighs happily, eyes glowing with joy in the light of the tree you brought to life together.

yamazaki sousuke is way too good at ice skating, like, it should be illegal for someone to be so handsome, so good at swimming, have such a good heart, and be good at ice skating. no one’s good at ice skating! especially not you.

you couldn't really help it, though. you had seen all these ads of this new pop up ice skating rink with an attached rooftop hot chocolate bar in downtown tokyo and you knew you just had to take your boyfriend there.

you thought it'd be cute to glide around the rink, fingers intertwined with sousuke’s, then stop for some delicious hot cocoa afterward. but instead, sousuke has to carry you back to your shared apartment on his back while you moan in pain. you'd taken a pretty nasty fall five minutes into ice skating, effectively twisting your ankle to hell and cutting the date night incredibly short.

sousuke sets you up on the couch, a pack of ice underneath your ankle, a blanket spread across your legs, and pillows propping you up.

“here you go, daredevil.” you look up to see sousuke holding a mug out to you, and you take it with a smile. you peer down into the mug and smile up at sousuke with excitement in your eyes when you see what's inside.

“you made hot cocoa?” you asked excitedly. sousuke smiles at you and places a kiss to your forehead before placing his own mug on the coffee table in front of the couch.

“'course i did, you didn't get to have any downtown.” sousuke gently moves your legs out of the way so he can prop them up on his lap, holding the pack of ice against your ankle for you.

“how are you so perfect, sou?”

“perfect for you.” he gives your leg a gentle, what was supposed to be affectionate, squeeze. you hiss in pain and he grimaces. “sorry, sorry!”

↘ Kisumi has no problem with that. He’s a good and cheerful kid who really loves you and who doesn’t want to put limits on you.

↘ He also loves skinship with his closest friends, so he perfectly understands your need for closeness among other people (friends or family members). He also sees the difference between your body contact and that between you and your male friends whom you even consider older brothers. With him you are even more clingy, less tense and definitely more sensitive.

↘ The boy trusts you a lot and I think he is the type of partner who likes to capture your pleasant moments with the phone camera. That’s why your Instagram is full of photos of your friends who put their arms around you or lift you high up so you can see the nest with recently hatched chicks. He loves compliments, kisses and long hugs. He’s very supportive and respects your every friend. Anyway, he would be a hypocrite if he forbade you to have male friends. After all, he himself has many female friends whom he treats as his sisters!

It’s okay for him, although often after your meetings with friends, he asks you ‘Why you have such a relation with that particular person?’, ‘How long you know each other?’ and ‘Does this person also have a life partner?’. He’s just curious, although he doesn’t seem to be.

↘ He cares about your good relationship, so he doesn’t want to forbid you anything. In the same time, you always ask him to express his opinion about such things. Even if them could push you to change your behavior – after all, the relationship is a compromise for you and you don’t want your boyfriend to ever feel bad seeing you in friends’ arms (even if they are like brothers from another mother to you).

↘ But still – Haruka has no problems with your friends and if they are interested in sports (especially swimming) he’s willing to ask them to hug you more often just so he can talk to them about sports competitions or diet.

↘ He’s jealous, he’s very jealous! He is grumpy and snappy when you meeting your friends, but over time he understands that only friendship connects you and your male pals, and you two have a completely different type of relation.

↘ Although he will always look carefully at your male friends who hug you to greet you or pat you on the head for ‘Goodnight’, but then he remembers that at home you’ll be all his again and he will be able to hug, touch and kiss you without any problems while watching the next Disney movie or k-drama on a laptop.

↘ Natsuya is a big kiddo and he really don’t want to lose you (although you both know this will never happen).

Makoto Tachibana Headcanons

He's a very sweet mother hen

I'm not saying he's controlling, but he does like knowing what you're doing, when you're doing it, with who, etc etc. He just wants a plan

He deals with kid, so he can handle you if you're tired and want him to carry you, want piggyback rides, if you're upset

But you call him out, saying he's treating you like he treats the kids he works with and he immediately feels bad

He doesn't mean to treat you like a kid, his parent gene is just hard to turn off

He's very supportive and anything you want to do, he'll be supportive [As long as it's not something that will kill you, obviously]

^You're more spontaneous than him, so even if you're activity/passion only lasts a day, he still treats it like a forever thing with you

You find it so easy to talk to him, like you could tell him anything in the world and he would never judge you

When he takes you out places, Haru is usually involved too and you both ping pong on being the third wheel [You'd be annoyed, but you and Haru get along, so sometimes you and Haru make Makoto a third wheel]

This drabble is part of my summer celebration collection! Prompt: Sundress Characters featured: Makoto (Free!), 2nd person GN Reader Requested by: @ominous-meme [a/n]: While clothes do not have a gender, I was momentarily struggling to make the prompt fit a GN reader, and had to redo my original plan. I actually liked the way this turned out though, and I hope you do too! Enjoy!

They say a sundress on a woman is one of the most beautiful and flattering things she can wear. The feel of summer, the flowy fabrics, usually decorated with beautiful patterns, there was something that elevated her presence and made her all the more attractive.

Now you weren’t quite sure about those sundresses, but now that summer came to an end, Makoto had gotten his flannel shirts out of the closet again, an alternative to a light jacket whenever the evenings got a little too cold to just keep walking around in a t-shirt.

And that had an effect on you. You weren’t quite sure what about the red and black pattern called out to you the most, but it was like a celebration of the end of summer, a cuddly feeling that you couldn’t describe in any other way than ‘home’. They were soft, and warm, and you liked the feeling of the fabric against your bare arms when you hugged him. You liked the way they smelled like him, when you secretly steal them from the chair to wear them around your apartment. You love the way he smiles when he finds you in one, and when you reject his offer to get you one as well. ‘It’s not the same, it doesn’t smell like you, it’s not like home.’ He laughs and hugs you close. You continue, holding on to him. “A shirt is like home?” “Yes, cause it reminds me of you.”

Getting a Kiss on the Cheek by his Crush | Several

Haru:

After a whole day together at the pool with his crush, Haru is over the moon. Not that he shows because 😐

"Thank you, Haru... I had fun today" and chuik!💋

He is awful at handling affection.

So the exact second your lips come in contact with his skin, he freezes.

He has no idea what to do. Don't get him wrong, he likes it, given this is his crush we're talking about. But my god, he's stupid.

He malfunctions.

Which could give you the wrong idea, so probably he will panic when he sees you all discouraged.

You're leaving but... NO, he doesn't want you to leave!

So he has to be quick, and call your name... A bit louder than he intended.

"I... I liked it too..."

His face says it all, the shy pouty face he does when he's embarrassed and his cheeks just a nice shade of pink.

It's impossible not to smile at that.

"We should do it more often" and he gets another kiss. And these times, he returns the gesture.

"Yeah... we should" and he finally lets you see that lovely smile of his.

Makoto:

Makoto is really shy, he's friendly and lovely, but he has no idea how to approach his crush.

You hang out as friends and everyone (for argument’s sake I'll say you're part of the swimmer group of friends, whether as a swimmer or like Kisumi) can tell you both like each other but the two of you.

To the point where they ditch you both, so you spend a day together as an unexpected date of sorts. Like in a festival or something, and you're both left to be together-

He is really nervous at first, especially if he is made aware what's going on:

"Nagisa: We're not arriving, Mako-chan, enjoy your date lol"

He starts off very stiff and awkward because he likes you a lot and why are you so beautiful and why are his hands sweating-

But again, one of the things he likes about you is that you're friends, and you make him laugh.

So it doesn't take long for him to honestly just have a good time.

You guys laugh and joke and spend all your designed money on games and snacks.

It's a lot of fun, but Makoto is really swooning.

So by the end of the night, you stand on your tip-toes to what he assumes it's a hug.

But he just feels the light flutter along with a soft chuik! 💋

He can't stop his heart from racing. His face is red, his palms sweaty, knees weak, arms heavy, mom's spaghetti. He is absolutely flustered.

But unlike Haru, you can tell in his eyes that went to heaven. He even does the tilt head smile.

It's not official until a while after, but dates likes this became a common thing immediately.

Rin:

Oh my god, he's so CUTE

He invites you over to a competition, and he does great, as usual.

And to celebrate, you all go to a karaoke. Which Rin's canonically awful at, LOL

But anyway, Sousuke and Haru pressure him into signing in front of everyone.

Which he does.

And it sucks.

Look, before an angry crowd comes to get me, I don't think he's a bad singer, at all. He probably just gets nervous and mumbly.

But the song ends and everyone is laughing and teasing.

He does this pout bad boy thing he does when he's embarrassed, looking down, frowning, and turning his voice deeper to be scary.

"The mic's wrong... and I don't even know the song that well..."

So you take the chance to whisper in his ear, "I think you did great" and peck his cheek. 💋

He goes red in a second.

Of course, everyone else notices, obviously.

And he wouldn't be so embarrassed if you weren't laughing about it too.

And it's hilarious, he will be buried next Saturday-

Just kidding.

Somehow, that whole number got him a date with you... But he wasn't the one that had the guts to ask 😉

I feel like he would be really upset that you beat him to it... But really happy to know you return his feelings, and he, being as competitive as he is, has determined that he will be the one asking you out on your next date.

Sousuke:

Sousuke is a very chill person, he doesn't get shaken much by emotions, right?

Hahahaha. WRONG!

He's what 10 years of anime slang have led me to classify as a kuudere, like Haru and Ikuya... sort of. But better because (sorry Haru and Ikuya, but at least) he does express emotions, he's just generally calm and well-mannered.

He would even be a very good flirt, given how in control of his emotions he is. Like sure, he can take a smartsy comment and shoot one back, this verbal love battle is something he has on the bag.

BUT GODDAMMIT, IF THESE BOYS AREN'T EASY TO FLUSTER, MAY I BE STRUCK BY A LIGHTNING BOLT RIGHT NOW.

I feel Sousuke would be especially flustered by casual PDA.

Like, he went to buy drinks and got one for you because... he be crushing badly and in general loves to do stuff for you.

He thinks he has his feelings under control, he's just being nice because he likes to be nice to you.

Right?

Well, he wouldn't even see it coming.

Just a casual "thanks" and an absentminded kiss on the cheek 💋, and he's done for.

Given the naturality of the situation, he wouldn't make a huge fuss. But oh boy does that little kiss keep you on his mind more than usual. That cute lil' "I don't stay up all night thinking about them" later that night, up thinking about you... "Uh oh".

It was just a little thing, but you did it like it was just engraved in your soul to do so. And it felt so good that he just knew that he wanted one of those every day for the rest of his life.

Definitely, the last push he needed to officially ask you out.

Asahi:

Oh boy, look. Let's get the cat out of the bag and start of saying... it's gonna be dramatic... and very loud.

WHICH IS NOT A BAD THING! It's not a bad thing.

That's just who Asahi is. He's very vocal about his feelings... and noisy...

Honestly, it's for the best. That way there's no room for doubt and (cue author's toxic relationship flashbacks that I didn't delete because I find it funny) anxiety because you don't know how he really feels about you, and having to ask over and over what he's thinking... And long discussions over the same thing so nothing gets fixed and relationship slowly dying, and cheating and...

Wait, what was I saying? Oh, right.

Asahi would be AT LEAST very obvious about his feelings for you... if he doesn't just straight up say it to your face.

Like, not the second he suspects he likes you, obviously.

He do be taking his time to analyze if it's just "do I just think they're pretty and cool, funny and them being around makes my day a thousand times better, or is this an actual crush?"

I feel like he would do the thing where he talks to the mirror to ask himself about you 🤣

But once he figures out this is serious. He would hype himself up to tell you. Even picking a flower to gift you. I feel like he would try to give you a full bouquet, but his friends would suggest starting off chill, so he doesn't overwhelm you, particularly if you happen to be a shy bean.

So he meets you by the campus gardens with the flower behind his back and just gifts it to you as he effusively tells you how he feels.

He is ready for a rejection when...

Chuik! 💋

It's the loveliest feeling ever to open his eyes and see that the sound was a sweet kiss to the cheek and his feelings returned.

He would do this cute thing some guys do of punching the air excitedly like "YES, YES, YES, YES!!!"

Ikuya:

Ikuya tries to act like Haru, but he is like a bazillion times easier to fluster.

Just like Sousuke, casual affection would be the end of him.

And at first, when you're just friends, it's fine!

He just gets a bit embarrassed that you peck his cheek when you greet him or say goodbye before parting ways. Just a snitch.

He does that thing he does when he's shy of puffing his cheeks and looking away red in the face.

Just as his base personality can't decide if he's a kuudere (like Haru and Sousuke) or a tsundere (Rin), and it's really cute. Honey, you're infatuated, that's what you are.

I feel like whether you're oblivious of his feelings or not, it's just funny and cute to see him all flustered when you're affectionate.

It's all friendly banter for now.

Until it isn't.

One day it changes, and the kiss feels different.

It's a full on kiss while you cup the other cheek, just overly gentle but definitely beyond friendly smooch 💋

It feels overly intimate and special. And he just loses it.

He stutters and covers his face, completely shy.

On one hand, he's happy because that confirms it? You like him too?!?!?! Yeah, u do. But he didn't know that.

Rei is definitely the type to try to impress you, but just makes you laugh because he never quite succeeds.

So you're the one to make the first move and after his swim practice, you ask him out to watch a movie or something. He's thrilled!

"Okay... I'll b-be sure to pick you up at six!" his voice is cracking he's so nervous.

Nagisa is the kind to talk throughout the movie making excited or happy comments, and jokes from time to time. So depsite it being a movie, the conversation is lively. RIP the other people who paid for their ticket.

It's actually quite fun, not gonna lie. He has eyes only for you, even if he chose the movie.

After movie, you go to eat something because Nagisa is always very hungry. Impressively he pays for it all, like a gentleman (I mena, sure he asks for the rest of the swim dork squad to treat him, of course he has saved up money).

Once again, he's talking the whole time trying to entertain you with funny stories of his friends regardless if you know who he's talking about.

It's actually very endearing how eager he wants you to feel integrated to his life.

At the end of the night you thank him with a soft kiss 💋

HE DOES THAT CUTE ⭐👄⭐ HE DOES WHEN HE IS VERY HAPPY AND EXCITED

And just tackles you in a hug.

You gave a sigh as you analyzed your reflection in the full length mirror in the girls' locker room at the beach.

Makoto, the ever loving boyfriend wanted to bring you to the beach for a special date, just the two of you and the silver linning to this was the beach was actually empty today. Nobody was around even though it was a beautiful day, but you were grateful for it since it was one less thing to worry about.

Your hands smoothed over your arms and thighs where light colored scars adorned your soft skin. It was noticable which was why you always had your arms and legs covered, or at least tried to. It was hard when the Summer heat was blazing and you got questioning looks wearing a cover up and jeans when it was over 100 degrees.

The swimsuit was cute and a one piece it was black and had sunflowers all over it. The bottom had ruffles giving the illusion that it was a skirt. It did make your scars more prominate making you second guess going out there. You felt bad...poor Makoto has been waiting for you for a while.

Sighing and taking a moment to ground yourself, you turned and walked out of the locker room with your clothes in hand. You started to walk toward the towels that your boyfriend had laid out under the umbrealla. A smile appeared as you saw he was relaxing on the towel enjoying the sun. He needed this, he worked too hard and always though of everyone before himself and with you both going into college in a few weeks you wanted him to relax and unwind as much as he could.

He had his eyes closed on the beach towel and you quickly threw your clothes on your bag and grabbed one of your cover ups to hide your scars. Making sure they were covered, you carefully sat on the towel next to him.

"You look relaxed Mako." He peeked over at you with a grin that turned into a frown. "I though you were changing Y/N?" I smiled down at him. "I did...I just was a little chilly is all." He sat up on the towel and reached for your hand holding it gently.

"Y/N, we both know you're not chilly, what's going on?" You squeezed his hand and sighed. Over the two years that you both have been together you haven't told him about yours scars and how you used to self-harm. It was a sensitve topic for you, one that you try to forget about, but the scars are always a reminder. They remind of you of how far you've come, you were in a dark place some time ago and hurting yourself was a form of escape, but after getting some therapy, some medication and bettering myself, you stopped, but the scars always hold as a reminder.

Turning to Makoto you let go of his hand and took off your cover-up, yours scars stuck out with the sun out and bright. "No...I'm not chilly, I was hiding my body, more specifically my scars from you." You streached your arm and leg out lifting up the peek a boo bottom of your swimsuit to show him the scars on my thighs and arms.

He grasped your arm gently and looked at the scars adorning it. You weren't sure what the look on his face read, so you continued to talk. "I..I used to self-harm a few years back, this was before we got together...I was in a bad place mentally and the only thing that made me feel good was hurting myself and I used to hide it until one day I cut too deep and had to get stitches for it. After that, I went to therapy and got put on some medication and I'm in a better place, but I still have these scars and I..I don't like showing them."

Makoto listened to you as you confided in him about this and when you were done, he cupped your cheeks and kissed you. You were surprised by the kiss, but accepted it nonetheless as your arms wrapped around his neck. He pulled back from the kiss and softly kissed the scars on your arms.

"Thank you for telling me Y/N, I know it was hard for you to tell me something like that, but I'm glad you did. I love every single aspect of you and that includes these scars. They tell me that you overcame something and you're stronger for it. I don't want you to hide them, but I know that'll take time."

You felt tears start to fall at his words. You knew Makoto would be understanding, but for him to say such sweet words, you knew you found the one. "I love you Makoto, t-thank you for saying that...for everything."

He brought you into a hug, holding your body close to his. "I love you too Y/N, I'm here for you through thick or thin." You hugged him back, the soft beach breeze blowing through your hair as you both stayed there enjoying each other on the quiet beach.

also for general notes please know not all of this is 100% accurate to japan’s marital laws and traditions, i just doubt some of our boys are destination wedding type men, and this is my idea of what they would enjoy.

Haruka Nanase

🫧 You better like water.

🫧 Maybe you won’t have to like it as much as Haru does, but be prepared for Haru to argue for the two of you to be wed in a pool.

🫧 Instead, you may settle for a beach. Haru would be able to rip his tux off after the wedding and take a dip, and you’ll join him as his bride.

🫧 It’s something that’s probably not normal for most people, but for those that know Haru, they know you’re partaking for the same reason you’re marrying him.

🫧 Meeting his elusive parents almost seemed like it was something you had only dreamt. It wasn’t like they were bad or weird people, they were just never home.

🫧 The wedding reception is super awkward for Haru. After being stared at by loads of people, talking to not just his friends and family about the same things and then to your friends and family about the same things was really socially exhausting for him.

🫧 Especially when his ridiculous best friends put together a speech that was actually pretty embarrassing thanks to Nagisa

🫧 So when it’s time to leave for your honeymoon, he’s more than relieved.

🫧 You’re his real dream come true. Swim is his passion and first love, but he swears you are the key to helping him succeed at everything he does
