Sisters!
Leonore (left) and Mary Ann (right) are both antique French fashion dolls c. late 1860s-early 1870s. Two of my fire survivors- cleaned up, of course
Amy (middle) is a lovely reproduction of an 18th-century English wooden doll, by the Old Pretenders studio. She takes consoling her new family very seriously, since they’ve been through such trials

I'm mostly asking this as a test because I've had a problem recently with tumblr eating my asks. Do you have any fun facts you just want to share or any tangents you want to go on rn or anything?
I got the ask!
Tangents, hmmm...I HAVE A NEW DOLL COMING. SOON, HOPEFULLY
Obviously she is an 18th-century-style wooden doll, but don't be fooled- she's probably about 20 years old, or newer! One of my friends is a truly genius reproduction artist, and made hundreds of dolls with his partner from the 1990s until said partner's death a few years ago. This little darling is one of their unsold pieces- and he has very kindly allowed me to purchase her!
(She's marked, of course; these dolls aren't intended to fool anyone. There have been problems with repro dolls across the board getting sold as the real thing by scammers, but they're generally intended as honest art pieces)
I am. Excited beyond belief
Check out the Old Pretenders blog for more photos of her amazing siblings. She's in a few of them, too!

Some pics of one of my Fave Doll Couples, Repro Superstar Barbie and Chewbacca. They're both from '77 technically so it works. There also was a 12 inch Chewie figure made for Star Wars in the late 70s so this pairing could've happened back then too. Mixing your toys together can be so much fun.
