Places to Visit in Edmonton: Local Suggestions
Fuwa Fuwa Pancakes
Delicious extra-floofy pancakes done Japanese-style. Available at two locations in Edmonton (Windemere and Whyte Ave), as well as in Calgary and three cities in Ontario (Toronto, Mississauga, and Maple).
I’ve tried their Matcha White Chocolate and their Creme Brulee pancakes and they were both amazing. :)
They also have tasty-looking drinks, but their pancakes are the main attraction.

i’m working on a restaurant fic rn and me and my bf are joking about how the chapter names should be restaurant lingo like “86” or “corner”.
and he’s like, “one chapter can be called behind and then the next chapter there should be a betrayal and you can all it behind with a knife”

40 year old Zosan "messing around" in Sanji's office
Zoro: *chuckling* What's the matter beautiful? Don't you like it?
Sanji: *laughing hysterically* NO WAY! GET OFF OF ME!
Zoro: *continues tickling his sides* You sure sound like you like it.
Sanji: *laughing harder* PLEASE! I'LL DO ANYTHING!
Zoro: Anything?
Sanji: *weezing* ANYTHING!
Zoro: *kissing his neck* I want you to take the night off and stay with me.
Sanji: *crying laughing* OKAY JUST STOP!
Zoro: *stops tickling* A deals a deal. Just a warning I'm not gonna let you get even a minute of sleep.
Sanji: Filthy swordsman.
Zoro: You like it when I'm filthy.
Sanji: How the hell do you know?
Zoro: You're pretty vocal sexy cook. The louder you are the more I know you like it.
Sanji: We'll see about that. I'll take a vow of silence.
Zoro: No way honey, I know exactly which of your buttons to push. *bites his neck*
Sanji: *involuntary moan*
Zoro: See?
Sanji: Cheap trick.
Zoro: If you say so.

Okay, I need feedback 😂
I work at “upscale” restaurant downtown and our managers do these menu/food tests every now and then - great, fine, makes sense - but because I’m a host, it’s not a huge concern for me. My thing here is… I’m not doing work outside of work. It’s not university, I shouldn’t have “homework.” I’ll learn the menu if I need to but not on my own time, not if I’m not being paid to. If it’s part of my job, I should be compensated…
My question is: is this a millennial thing? Am I being unreasonable? Does everyone who works at a restaurant, as adults, - I’m not talking about when you were a teenager and wanted to make good impressions, - take work home with them when it’s this kind of thing?
Because I’ve tried to see it both ways. Like maybe I should be learning the menu outside of work so I can test myself and come in and feel confident; I don’t have time to do it before my shift because I can only clock in 5 minutes before, and during my shift obviously is a no go, so maybe doing it at home is the easiest. Then, I think, no. I could just stay after I’ve done all my closing duties, when I’m no longer on the floor, and sit at a table and take 20 minutes to learn the menu and test myself and it shouldn’t be an issue. I’d be giving them what they want, just on their dime. It seems… fair?
It’s a petty thing, believe me I know, but this place has broken my soul and I’ll be damned if I put in unpaid time to it when I feel like they don’t appreciate me. I’m just curious if this sounds incredibly out of touch or entitled or if it makes sense to anyone else?

I know it's a little belated, but I'm not ready to move on to Christmas music just yet personally. If you know any other good Thanksgiving-themed songs, please do tell me in the notes! I'm always looking to expand my holiday playlists and Thanksgiving is definitely the shortest on holiday-specific songs.
Edited to add, I know everybody says this, but please reblog for reach! I'm largely fishing for more songs to expand my Thanksgiving Playlist so the more people see this, hopefully the more suggestions I'll get. Also, even if it's not your all-time favorite thanksgiving song, you can still drop it in the notes :) Thanks, and happy belated Thanksgiving!

Thinking about yet another Salvation AU:
High end restaurant. Darius is the brilliant but insufferable executive chef. Liam, an rising sous chef. Harris, an investor. And Grace, the new floor manager who is already sick of dealing with Darius' shit while trying to convince herself she isn't falling for him at the same time she wants to strangle him daily.

Ahhh just had to ask at work if our holiday dinner get together thing could be moved to a restaurant that has a vegan option that is not just a salad
and now I'm anxious, because asserting needs is hard, and I don't want to be seen as a troublemaker or picky.
But I also don't want to be sitting there with my coworkers being the only one not eating because the only vegan option is a salad I can already tell I would not like (my sensory issues can tolerate quinoa, or edamame, but not both)
