Getting real sick of a certain subset of Destiny players complaining that it’s a baby game and crying to Bungie to nerf exotics and abilities when their ENTIRE POINT IS TO BE STRONG in specific ways as if they are being locked into using them.
IF YOU WANT AN EXTRA CHALLENGE STOP BEING SUCH A DPS GOBLIN AND JUST EQUIP SOMETHING THATS NOT TOP TIER META AND STOP COMPLAINING JESUS FUCKING CHRIST
MOOD. Go off.
It's incredibly annoying to me. They always use the argument of "the game should FORCE me to do things, I should not SELF-IMPOSE challenges." And like. ? I'm sorry but what? It's a video game for a big audience, it's here to be playable and accessible to the widest possible playerbase. There are plenty of ways to make the game difficult for yourself, so knock yourself out if that's your thing, but don't force others into it.
Like, I enjoy hard content, I regularly at least attempt day 1 raids, I do master raids, GMs, solo and solo flawless content and all that. But only when I want to. Sometimes I don't and I don't want to suffer in a patrol zone or struggle in a seasonal activity I'm doing for the story. The majority of the players don't want that. Designing games for the professional gamers only has NEVER been a good idea and never will be. Fifty streamers can't sustain a video game. It needs casual players who will want to come back to the game instead of feeling defeated.
One of the reasons I really enjoy helping others is because I know that casual players tend to struggle in stuff that's basic activity for me. I've seen people unable to get through a strike. I've sat for 10 minutes rezing someone who couldn't do the jump in a seasonal activity. I want those people to be able to play basic content without feeling frustrated and I want them to know that there are people out there who will help them out.
And this doesn't apply just to basic content, although it should start with that. I think all dungeons and raids and everything should be things that all players can complete. Fine, doing a master raid with all challenges should be tough, but it should be achievable with time and practice, not impossible. What a lot of these "pros" want is just completely divorced from reality.
It takes days and days of practice every time a new master raid is out for me and my team (all with thousands of hours of playtime) to get comfortable to finally finish it. We're far from casual players and it still takes a lot of time to be able to finish hard content. Making it even harder is insane to me. Like, if something is so hard that my team full of people, each with 5000+ hours of playtime and a coordinated team that's been raiding together for years now can't finish it, that means it's absolutely impossible for probably 90% of the playerbase. That's wild to me. Raids and GMs should have more people playing them. If master raids are too easy for you, Mr. I-Play-Destiny-For-A-Living, that's on you buddy. Unequip the super god tier god roll meta guns and loadouts or play something else.
And ofc, another excuse they make is "if I don't use meta, I am not going to win a raid race!" Then don't. Idk. Let me play you the tiniest violin. This affects literally nobody except a grand total of 50 people. Run your meta in day 1, and play with random shit otherwise. Play raids with all white weapons. Play without mods. Play without a HUD. Do things solo only. I don't know, make up a way to spice things up for yourself. I'm not interested in that and neither are 99% of the players out there. The game is genuinely hard enough for the majority of the players. On top of that, I am here to feel like a powerful space fantasy superhero. I am NOT here to die to dregs in patrol zones. If there's ONE thing that I know for a fact that put people off from Lightfall (as in this year of Destiny), it's the difficulty changes. They're annoying, frustrating and for some a barrier to entry more than anything else.

You can watch the speed build on my YouTube channel:
For some small tweaks TwistedMexi’s T.O.O.L. mod was used, but you don’t need the mod in your game for this to show up the way I built it.
Floorplan and more info under the cut!
Known issue:
While I was playtesting, my sim sometimes couldn't wash any dishes in the kitchen sink. Any other interactions with the sink would work without problems though (like taking a glass of water or washing their hands). Deleting the lamp above the sink seems to be the easiest way to fix this. Alternatively, you'd just have to drag the dishes into the sink manually. Sorry for this inconvenice, everything else should work fine though.
(I know I could have swapped out the lamp right away before uploading the build, but the whole issue was somewhat confusing (as I sometimes got the sink to function without having to delete the lamp, so I wasn't sure what was actually causing the issue). I'm also trying to explain it in the video, but yeah, at some point I just gave up and left the lamp where it was... Sorry again...)

“If a lot of men get killed at one go, does it make the killing of one man less of a crime? I don’t know, Andy, I don’t know. I’m only twenty and they say today the world is ours, but Pa was twenty once and felt the world was his, and long, long ago Mad was twenty too, laughing at applauding audiences, smiling from picture postcards, and when I am as old as she is nothing will have changed…”

nothing more morally reprehensible than a cleric (checks notes) using the key features of their class…? surely that can’t be where we are regarding analysis of character actions in cr at this point.

c!tommy's animal crossing island would be super messy and ugly and have a hodgepodge of unpopular villagers but he’d play every day and put so much effort into it and adore all his villagers.
c!dream's animal crossing island would be one of those beautifully decorated ones with themed popular villagers and expensive items but he wouldn’t actually play the game much and doesn’t really care about his villagers outside of taking photos and bragging that he has raymond

Even just reordering the songs in bway hadestown so that Eurydice is on stage during Why We Build The Wall and Our Lady of the Underground would improve things so much….you have the “step into my office” bit, you have Persephone react to that, then you have the song where Eurydice meets the other workers and sees what’s actually going on, then Why We Build the Wall is her having apparently given up and lost her identity like the others…..THEN at the end of Why We Build the Wall, Hades leaves the stage and the other workers turn to Eurydice and take her by the hands and smile, and they bring her to Persephone’s bar and they’re all in the chorus for Our Lady and Eurydice realizes that the people here ARE still people and they do have somewhere to talk where Hades isn’t listening (and all the lyrics to Our Lady actually make sense again lmao, ESPECIALLY “there’s a crack in the wall”)
Also I just really want to see Persephone and Eurydice interact on stage in this context….like Eurydice is a little wary bc she’s pretty sure Persephone is jealous of her, but Persephone knows what’s up and sees the new girl that Hades tricked and discarded and picks her out of the crowd during the musical interlude, and twirls her around while the rest of the cast cheers, and gives her a drink and sends her back to her seat…Eurydice stares at her like she’s entranced…idk. Just a little something that sets up how close they are in “I Raise My Cup to Him” as well as Persephone’s sympathy for Orpheus and Eurydice specifically

probably a dumb thing to ask but is it true that chapter 6 has several routes???? o_o and almost a hundred battles???????
it doesn't have routes in terms of, like, alternate endings or meaningful choices or anything -- I don't know how spoilery you're good with so, uhh, erring on the side of no details, the characters split up into three groups and then there are subchapters that follow each group until they converge again. that's all!
most of the battles are from 6-66 and 6-67, and I think each group has the same amount...oh no, numbers...I think it's thirty-three minimum if you get lucky, and eighty-one max if you don't? and then adding in the other episode 6 battles, yeah, that's...probably at least a hundred. :')
66 and 67 were uniquely terrible though, for reasons that got long:
1) you had to lock in all three teams at the beginning, use them for all the battles, and couldn't change them without resetting the entire chapter and losing all your progress.
2) instead of building teams by card, they have you build by character. so you can't use multiple cards of the same character, and you can't share characters between groups. also, no guest/friend cards.
4) each group had two or three required characters, and heck you if you don't have any good cards for them. (I have no idea what it would do if you somehow didn't have any cards for them at all. if it gives you a temporary one I probably would have been better off, because I have literally no good Rook cards.)
5) it told you upfront what the boss elements were going to be, but all the other battles were just, like. whatever. so you have to build your team for the boss if you don't want to get utterly screwed, but then the other battles could still end up being a huge headache based on the type matchups.
6) that goddamn rock healing itself between turns. why. why did it heal for so much. why was that battle so hard. why did they do this to me.
so if, say, you're someone -- coughmecough -- who likes to focus on your favorite characters, and if, say, most of your good cards are of a particular wet rat dragon man and his entourage, you might be just a little bit boned THANKS TWST. I got through it eventually but oh boysie was it brutal for a game where the usual difficulty level is negligible.
tl;dr eng and newer players take heed, learn from my mistakes and try to build up halfway decent cards for more than five or six characters. (the guest room collection battles have random required characters so not a bad idea for those either.)
also...I am now very, very afraid of what buffoonery episode 7 is going to throw at us. take pity on me...please...
