I'm so disgusted by the portrayal of the israeli genocide in palestine by the western media. My country has a far right government and watching the national news is unbearable. Journalists are scraping the bottom of the barrel to find anything related to israel to talk about and they barely mention the constant bombing in gaza. They even found relatives of italian-israeli residents there who don't even speak italian!! They are like 0.5% italian at best but they do the most to cover everything happening on the israeli side. Then you open social media and it's flooded with videos and pictures of the genocide and it's sickening. I consider myself priviliged to have access to information on the internet, but i can imagine the elderly (there are a lot here) or people who can't access internet for some reason and rely on television for updates on the situation. It's very easy to be misled by this sionist propaganda.

You don't have to be an expert on the situation to speak up, killing thousands of children is wrong, no matter the circumstances. I am revolted by the stance of my government and the west and i feel ashamed to be represented by a party of fascists.

I found this article with all the resources to ask for a ceasefire to italian institutions, it might not be much (especially considering the position of our government) but it's still a way to protest against the genocide in palestine:

The transformation hurt, Wyll's skin screaming as ridges stretched it from underneath, as horns burst through, the fire of his contract burning like it had just been set. Worse were everyone's faces, the horror, the disgust. Even Karlach stepped back, revolted by what Mizora did to him. But what did she expect? She knew devils. She knew how well they took a "no".

Even after he caught his breath and managed to stand upright, the pain remained, flickering over the underside of his skin and across his organs at random. Any hope that Wyll had of returning home burned away with his humanity. His father couldn't accept him with devil's magic in his veins; he certainly wouldn't accept him with a devil's horns on his head.

Wyll tried to stay positive. No one wanted to hear him whine. No one cared that this brought him right back to his father's rejection, that his nights were filled with dreams of their last hug. Nightmares. Broken promises. He needed to put this old anger aside and save the duke.

He held his head high, neck and shoulders sore and shaking from the new load, and he did what he always did: he saved the day.

"Great work today," Asharak said to him. With the goblin threat gone, the tiefling had taken a break from training the children and dipped into the celebration for a pint. He gave a tight lipped smile. "It was inspiring, seeing you fight up close."

Flattery, Wyll was certain, and a little thickly laid on. Asharak was nearly twice his age. Nearly his father's age. Still, there was a starry-eyed-ness to Asharak that suggested this might be the truth, and Wyll would be lying if he claimed the words didn't soothe him. Soon he found himself pouring it all out: how he couldn't sleep because of his horns, and when he did the flailing from his nightmares meant his horns cut and bruised his arms. How his teeth ached and kept cutting his mouth, how his skin and bones felt bruised from his new ridges rubbing against them.

"But listen to me. Talking to you as if you don't understand," Wyll said. "Oh, no, insulting you, too! I didn't mean it like—there's nothing wrong with horns. I only… damn. I'm sorry."

"I don't understand," Asharak said. "I was born this way. Well, my horns were smaller, and I was shorter—a bit, only a bit—but I've been a tiefling forever. My parents were tieflings. My sister is–was one. It's who I am. You've had horns for…"

"Eight days."

"Gods. Right, well. This is my body. That is the body you were forced into. But I've put together an entourage for you, if you're willing. We have Guex here, horns nearly as big as yours."

"I have an excellent method for preserving headboards!" Guex said. "It's called: do not use them."

"And Alfira, to help with the fangs."

"We'll have you back in your old voice in no time," grinned the bard. Wyll nodded gratefully; even though his teeth looked the same, each was razor sharp, slowly turning his tongue into a fringe.

"Bex has offered to alter your clothing, make it easier to take everything on and off," Asharak said.

"I'm not the best," Bex said, "but I did all of Danis's, and I think he looks great! Although, that might just be Danis."

"And finally… myself. For support." Again, Asharak gave that tight lipped smile, like his help was a thing that was inevitable. Wyll gave up.

He listened as Guex outlined various sleeping positions and showed him the easiest ways to get a shirt on and off. Lakrissa showed him how to oil his horns and ridges, and massage his neck. Cal and Lia delivered knitted covers for him to wear at night, the base padded with rabbit fur to protect the sensitive skin, the tips padded with old wine corks.

"If you're petty," said Rolan, refilling his wine, "Take pleasure in knowing that she gave you horns any devil would eat themself for."

"She really did," Dammon agreed. He gifted Wyll a set of cuffs with matching combs and ornaments for his hair, and a mouthguard to use at night. In a low voice he said, "A lot of us use them when our adult fangs come in. Wax can help it stay."

Wyll popped it in then popped it out, fumbling it into Karlach's pint. She laughed until she coughed and dared him to chug it.

Alfira nearly got his teeth handled by the end of the evening, and Wyll only nicked his tongue once saying "salutations". Lakrissa, with a wink, offered to teach him how to kiss, but Alfira whacked on the horn until she apologized. The kids gave him a bag of hard candies they said could help his mouth heal. All the tieflings held flame behind his horns until they were convinced that it had a core and not a root, and thus wouldn't shed, then Zevlor himself taught Wyll the best way to avoid bleeding out from a broken horn, Karlach chiming in about her own experience losing one. She even apologized to him–to him, the sword who nearly killed an innocent tiefling at the command of a devil!–for her reaction to his punishment.

"I should've done something more," she said. "Just, seeing Mizora after all that time? All I could do was sass her. I'm sorry, Wyll. I'll make it up to you."

Somehow Wyll kept the proper decorum, assuring her she didn't need to, before slipping off into the forest.

"Wyll," Asharak called, following him. "Where are you going? Mirkon wants to give you something he wrote."

"It's too much," he said. Overwhelmed, touched, Wyll found himself tearing up. His voice went thick, his new ridges hardening with emotion. "Everyone is far too generous. I haven't done anything to deserve this."

"You saved the Grove," Asharak said, patting his shoulder. "Twice. But even if you hadn't, you're a person. Something awful happened to you. We can help. You deserve to be helped, saer."

"I…" Wyll's words got lost somewhere in his throat.

"You don't believe me." Asharak threw an arm around Wyll, and for a moment Wyll was in two embraces: Asharak's and his father's. Wyll closed his eyes. "You're a good man, Wyll. They say to never meet your heroes, but I'm glad to know you. Now, you don't need to go back to the party, but Mirkon will cry if he doesn't get this story to you. And, er, try not to laugh, but he spelled your name wrong the entire way through. Wyll with an i. Can you imagine?"

This reminds me of a popular post on here that showed the Russian Royal Family, and someone lamented "Oh I never knew the communists executed children too that's so sad :(" and the tankies came and said "lol shitlib simps" and started writing essays that could rival the Tanakh itself like "sometimes violence is necessary and imagine how underfed and suffering the millions of other Russian children were" and blah blah blah.

All I remember is thinking "If a core component of your political movement is 'we are going to kill children' or 'children being murdered is acceptable for our goals' your political movement is dead on fucking arrival. Every normal person is going to think you are a freak and they're going to hate you and want you dead. The easiest way to lose the pr war is to hurt children."

And well... I mean that's why they're so desperate to run this narrative that Israel is barrel bombing thousands of Palestinian children every day into the ground. They know that on the other end, we have video evidence and unapologetic confirmation from testimonies that Hamas tortured, raped, and killed children, and held others in captivity and also tortured and raped some of them too.

And to the average person, a detached and clinical airstrike that happens to kill an unconfirmed number of children is just not going to viscerally raise the hackles compared to irrefutable accounts, and sometimes VIDEO FOOTAGE showing someone brutally and intimately causing a child pain, fear, bodily and psychological harm, lasting trauma, and relishing in that. It's just not a contest.

But it's not like the Leftists who purport to represent the average person secretly disdain the average person as a spineless rube whose values are all illegitimate facades of imperialist capitalist propaganda. The delusions of grandeur sure are something.

I saw an archived Reddit thread from some ML forum where people kept trying to outdo each other in cheering for the murder of the Romanov children. Apart from being morally evil - it's also a weird thing to even care about in this day and age. It's like specifically building a political ideology around the guy who shot James Garfield. Reject reality, embrace theory.

The moral of the college president testimony affair is that most people don't talk like the "awareness-raising" departmental space aliens who now run our elevated discourse. Don't talk like it and also find the sound of it automatically revolting. There will be a price to pay for these river-to-sea DSA types. I know that every fandom has that problem to some extent, but from my personal experience it seems to be much worse in the furry fandom. I was in it for many years as a young teen (age 13-16 ish) and literally ran away from it by the end. If you're into fursuiting at all you will be surrounded by adults in their 20s ish that are often dangerously and upsettingly immature for some reason. Despite how "sfw" the like to claim they can be, they aren't. The amount of times in which either I have or had witnessed someone else under 18 being intentionally shown p-rn either directly or through groups that call themselves "sfw" is revolting. Fuck's sake I once saw one of those "guess my age by my art" posts in which some grown adult went "I guess you're 15? Can you guess mine?" and attached nsfw art to their comment (the genitals were censored but STILL). facepalm with me, please. Attending irl events is another can of worms, really. Just hope that event runners keep an eye out for predators in the community and promptly ban them. Id like to think that there was a misunderstanding, really, but I once had to report an adult commissioner who took advantage of their commission contracts with minors to get flirtatious with them regardless of how much discomfort they voiced (I even had a video of the guy m-sturbating that he had sent to someone that was even younger than me that I would have happily provided as proof). And the convention runners didn't blacklist that guy. This isnt an isolated case either, registered sex offenders have been hard to blacklist from cons in the past. The problem here is the immaturity that adults who claim to be able to make a safe space for everyone have makes them really struggle to hold that promise.

I haven't hung out in furry spaces much. I do think that in-person events that are at least partly about sexual stuff are a minefield and many of them just ban everyone underage because it's easier.

Is suspect Furry spaces are suffering from a common problem that happens when something perfectly reasonable is seen as freakish and socially unacceptable. When banal queer sexuality is driven underground, it's harder to sort the consensual adult stuff from the predatory stuff. When half the priests out there have secret, forbidden but perfectly consensual adult relationships, it makes it easier for the predators to hide in the general atmosphere of secrecy.

People cry wolf so often about furry being scarybadcringeyuck that I'm sure a lot of furries just dismiss any challenge to anything.

Las Vulpess: the scandal

Just 40 years ago, four girls from the Bilbo neighborhood of Irala, between 17 and 21, starred in the first media scandal related to freedom of expression in Spain. Las Vulpess had not yet recorded a single single when the music critic Carlos Tena decided to make a music video with them on his new program on TVE, Caja de ritmos.

The sisters Loles and Lupe Vázquez (guitar and drums, respectively), were responsible for adapting the lyrics of I Wanna Be Your Dog - by Iggy Pop & The Stooges - in their own way, which Mamen Rodrigo would sing while Begoña Astigarraga played the bass. The song's title?: I like to be a whore.

Nothing happened at that time, since it was a program with a very small audience. The scandal erupted ten days later, when newspaper ABC published the lyrics of the song and vigorously protested its broadcast in children's programming hours, arguing that the song "degrades Spanish society, revolts the father of a family, unworthy the responsible citizen, breaks the intimacy of the home, violates what is established in the Constitution and goes beyond the limits of what is tolerable".

The media of that time asked for heads to roll: Caja de ritmos was not broadcast again, the presenter submitted his resignation and, the following Saturday, what the children's audience could see at that time was… a bullfight.

The snowball continued to grow until it reached the courts. The State Attorney General's Office filed a criminal complaint against the director of the program "for offense to modesty and good customs" and Loles Vázquez as the author of the lyrics and Mamen Rodrigo as vocal interpreter for public derision. Three, five years in prison and ten years of disqualification were requested for them. In 1986, the case was dismissed.

Thanks to growing up in very politically committed families, Loles – whose parents had fought against Franco in hiding, from unionism and women's associations – also had that support.

"My family helped us, my parents and brothers understood and supported us, we all went together, and it was quite important to feel so supported," the guitarist confesses. "We did not fear for our future, but of course it did worry us, because handling a scandal at the age we were was not easy, on the contrary, it was very difficult. A lot of stress, the phone did not stop ringing, everybody wanted to exploit the whole scandal: first musically and then the media, the political parties… It was pretty fucked up, speaking clearly".

Las Vulpess were the first all-female punk-rock quartet in Spain. I would venture to say that, even, rock in general. "If in the US or England it was already difficult for women to be in a rock group, well imagine in the Basque Country at that time. Even the boys had a hard time getting their instruments or a place, nobody had money, we were in a super harsh crisis. Rock and roll was very sexist, women's work was basically escort, groupie. Punk revolutionized everything, and one of the things that changed was the role of women. We too could be in a stage", concedes Loles Vázquez.

Now we are more accustomed, not only in punk but in more formal commercial pop, to hearing the word "bitch" or "whore" reversing its connotations of insult as a symbol of pride and self-affirmation. And, although it is impossible to collect data that proves anything, if they were not the first in the world, Las Vulpess sure were pioneers in this. Before rappers like Queen Latifah or MC Lyte began to use "bitch" in the same way in the US at the end of the 80s, no other precedents have been revealed. "I first played with Latin, hence the Vulpes thing," [Vulpes means fox in Latin, fox in Spanish has the same meaning that bitch in English] explains the author of the adaptation, which she wrote at the age of 15.

"It was what I received then. I wore leopard miniskirts made from car upholstery, we tore our stockings at the feet, because there weren't those things like leggings today… So with those looks, the stiletto shoes, the nets, the eyes painted with the eyeliner, when the guys passed by me they yelled at me: Whore! That was what they called me the most. And, well, I liked it. I liked being who I was. Being different was a source of pride. Those guys who defended marriage and those who were junkies and considered themselves cool, all told me the same. All those people calling me a bitch made me think, to that age, that being a whore was cool."

But what happened to Las Vulpess? Their label, Dos Rombos, hurried them to record the single that quickly sold out a circulation of 7,000 copies and, shortly after, sold 5,000 more, but the girls said they saw hardly any money from it.

Although the worst came with the concerts. On May 18, 1983, barely a month after the controversy, they performed at the temple of the Movida in Madrid, the Rock-Ola. But they ran into the peculiar reception of the security personnel in the room, who gave them a beating in the dressing room for singing a song critical of the Police. According to what Las Vulpess recounted, when they went to the nearest police station to report what had happened, they found that the agents who attended them were the same ones who had attacked them. They were policemen who had infiltrated the concert. It was not the only time, as confirmed by the guitarist.

"Yes, they used to beat us, yes. We were included in concerts with groups that had nothing to do with us. Then the press also released many lies and there were people who thought we would go out naked or in our panties. People weren't going to see a punk rock concert, they were going to cause a scandal. Buses full of fascists also came to boycott us, and we had to get out on our feet many times".

"In the end, everybody wanted to take advantage -adds Loles-, we were fresh meat, and both the politicians and the promoters took advantage, (…) they took all the money and we could not return home. All that burned us out a lot, it annoyed us quite a bit, and clearly, that caused us to break up, although it must also be emphasized that there were already musical differences between us".

That summer at the Bilbo festivities Las Vulpess said "enough" and disbanded a fortnight before entering to record what should have been their first album.

1 7 10 and 13 for Warriors?

1 - Frecklewish. Not a compliment. Mapleshade too, but on a different scale because it's the people pushing "perfect victim" on Frecklewish that play along with two YouTubers' out-of-context words being used to say Mapleshade was evil from the very start actually. Appledusk plays a part here too. I'll come back to this.

7 - Frecklewish, again. She's angry. She's absolutely furious. She and Oakstar plan to raise the trio as weapons to kill Appledusk. She wants one to be named Birchface because she sees them as only extensions of him. Mapleshade did a bad thing- for the sake of her kits, in her eyes- but Frecklewish does not wait for a reaction of any sort before she pounces on her and slits her eyelid. It takes two full-grown warriors to pull her off. All in front of the toddlers she calls half-clan creatures and stopped giving a rat's ass about as soon as they weren't related to her. Their confrontation at snakerocks was not a case of Frecklewish being non-confrontational or Mapleshade provoking her for the entire scene. Frecklewish jumps at her and screams that she wished Mapleshade had died, and this is during Mapleshade talking about Frecklewish seeing her kits in the river and never mentioning Freckle doing nothing to aid her.

Frecklewish shouldn't have jumped into the river, of course not. But she saw the RC patrol and they didn't realize what had happened right away. If Mapleshade could be IN THE WATER and hear Appledusk calling for her, then Frecklewish could've yelled over the river as soon as she saw the patrol to make sure the kits got across the stones safely. She followed them out of camp in the first place, making it impossible for Mapleshade to hide them on the territory considering Frecklewish attacked her once already and as we hear in the snakerocks scene, wants Mapleshade dead. She doesn't care about the kits as soon as they aren't related to her. She's not a precious little baby constantly crying for a blankie. She's impulsive and angry and judgemental. She didn't deserve hell, sure, but the fandom should've been angry that Oakstar and Appledusk stayed sippin' wine in heaven while only she got booted, rather than immediately going to "she did nothing wrong!11"

10 - I can easily get into more of Frecklewish and Appledusk here, but lets go for Mapleshade being painted as evil from birth and manipulative from the start and pinned as "Appledusk's abuser" is revolting. I don't care that the fandoms precious pair of leading YouTubers said one thing that can be taken as them thinking this. That one video is not well-written and full of out of context things and them acting morally superior for not liking Mapleshade because that wasn't the trend at the time until the fandom 180'd the second the video gained traction. The title of the video alone is spiteful. I could directly quote and talk about one thing said in that video that isn't twisting a simple line from the book, but I think the fandom would hang me. It's ironic that Mo/onk/itti can come out with acknowledging that people will defend male characters while "pulling apart every tiny infraction a female character has ever committed" while The Mapleshade Problem is doing nothing but that.

On another end, people who script the MAPs "about" Reedshine should ask themselves why they need to woobify and sympathize with Appledusk to sympathize with Reedshine (because everything is about a man and female characters are just DLC for male characters). The way so many people see nothing wrong with Freckle and Reed being characterized by the fandom as sad all the time purely over a man and thinking about a man 24/7 says a lot. Spending her whole life mourning a man who had an affair behind her back and called his children mistakes and used her to fuel his crocodile tears apology is nothing Reedshine deserves.

Reedshine's got an attitude herself, telling Mapleshade to go away and that she caused enough trouble was blatantly bitchy and a horrible thing to do, but considering her husband is a dishonest, two-faced, chickenshit son of a bitch I think she has the right to a rude moment or two. And no, that's not applicable to me refusing to play along with or defend the fandom ignoring Frecklewish's actual character.

I loved the HTTYD franchise dearly right up until HTTYD 3, which is a revolting, mean-spirited, ugly slap in the mouth to everything beautiful or poignant in the franchise. It's thought that part of this is because Universal bought Dreamworks, and part of it seams to have been Dean DeBlois, but for whatever reason, the better-movies we almost had were all scrapped multiple times until we finally got The Hidden World.

The Light Fury is Millie in the sense that she's a tool and that the movie/people making it barely make an effort to hide that fact, never describing her beyond "feminine and graceful", and explaining that her atrocious design was to "convey the idea that she's female," and quite literally saying that she exists to "lure" Toothless into the wild and then bare his children. She starts out as a non-character, but in the Christmas special, she becomes abusive to Toothless, getting angry at him for suggesting they go visit Hiccup. She's sort of what you'd get if you crossed Millie with Stella.

If you've got about six hours to kill, my httyd tag is a place to start; before the Vivzie shit started, it was probably the biggest thing I've ever talked about here/people came to me to bitch about. If you've had enough of what I think about things, here's a pretty good video that breaks it down. This one's good too.

One of Hello Future Me's videos on revolution brought up an event from the Philippines back in the 80s: the dictator sent a battalion to crush a supposed revolt, only for the soldiers to be met with nuns and children offering food and water. The majority of the army defected as a result

I'm going to use rwby to try hammering this abstract concept into a coherent thought, but this incident got me thinking about how nonviolent protest is theater

If a similar event were to occur in rwby, for it to be successful, the protestors would have to be the cutesy faunus types: rabbits, cats, dogs, and the like because they're non-threatening. Attacking a sweet cat faunus would be akin to attacking a child or nun, paragons of innocence and virtue respectively. Only a monster could cut them down, and no one wants to be seen as a monster

A scorpion faunus, though? Their mere existence is a threat. That tail is dangerous, a weapon available at all times. Bull faunus have horns they can use to gouge out eyes and organs. Claim they attacked and most people would agree that killing them in self-defense is justified

Because nonviolent resistance relies on public perception, people who could possibly taint the image of the movement will get left in the dark no matter how important they are. Bayard Rustin was the one who taught Dr King about civil disobedience and was an organizer for many major events, but he opted to ride to events in the trunk of people's cars so his status as an openly gay man wouldn't harm the movement's image

There would be little wonder why the White Fang would be more popular with the "scarier" faunus. Public perception is already against them, so it's not going to change much for them if they join a violent organization, but this in turn will be seen as justification for discrimination against these types of faunus. A hellish self-perpetuating cycle

These faunus would also be far more likely to experience violence at a much younger age, akin to how black children are treated as adults even if they're literally six years old

The strategy behind nonviolent protest like the ones Dr King did is to show the world the mistreatment of the innocent, but when your existence is deemed a threat, there's little hope that you'll ever get enough support to change the system. This is why bigots constantly spew the "queer groomer" and black crime "statistics": by portraying someone's freedom as a danger to the innocent, any level of violence is justifiable defense. The police aren't attacking queers, black, and brown folk discriminately, they're attacking dangerous criminals, so it's okay!!1!

Listen, the more I read about the way that Israel is blatantly, and also explicitly, promoting genocide against Palestinians the more disgust I feel.

It is impossible not to trace any parallels between this and the fucking holocaust. That fucking war hero of theirs that was saying how Israeli soldiers should ERASE Palestinian history and lives, the government’s official accounts constantly dehumanizing citizens, the bombings oh hospitals, refugee camps, the cutting of essencial supplies, the complete refusal of any pause to offer medicine and food to Gaza. All of this? Genocide. There is no other way to describe this atrocity but to call it what it is: cold blooded murder. Ethnical cleansing. It’s revolting to think that in 2023, almost 2024, we are at a time that people are trying to defend murder of innocents. They aren’t even bothering to pretend it’s a hunt for Hamas anymore. It’s straight up just agains Palestinian people.

One day, people will look at this happening right now in the same way that we look at accounts of murder in history books, and they too will wonder how could anyone let this happen.

My heart goes out for everyone suffering in this conflict. Boycotting MC

I find this little trend hilarious, at least until it gets to a serious point, kinda. To the point we use actual wars where people sacrificed their lives for whatever cause. I watched this one video where they used the REVOLUTIONARY WAR. yes, the war for FREEDOM against BRITAIN. a MONARCHY. To "invoke" a feeling of war. Rebellion. Whatever you wish to use.

The revolutionary war was a war between Great Britain against the revolt of its colonies leading to the beginning of a new nation called America. So why are we using this war, a war where people on both sides sacrificed their lives for their way of thinking; to boycott a simple, NON-WAR LIKE, video game because they wont add all the Mobs on.

Not only has the mob vote been going on for years now, but its also a way to get feedback from the people, and a way to excite people about the upcoming updates.

Minecraft is updated almost on a 2 month basis. Most being minor, but every year there comes more or less a major update. A lot of games DONT do this.

You paid 26-27 U.S dollars for this game that gets updated more than a game that costed you.. lets say 60 dollars. Thats A PRETTY GOOD FUCKIN DEAL. RIGHT??

They also posted a poster of being like "support your modding community." You boycotting against the modders of mohjang is 1. not supporting. 2. Yes, a modder made a mod of the upcoming characters in the mobvote the crab in just under 16 hours. Woahhhh. They have the time to do that.

Mojang devs and creators are paid. To them this is a job. Yes a job they may like. BUT a job. Which means there are job hours. I do not know about you but me personally? Id rather not work overtime.

Mojang devs are not being lazy, they are working on their own time. They are people just like us. They have lives. Some may get sick, some may have wife and children. JUST BECAUSE they are not working up to speed, like modders do in THEIR FREETIME, does not mean they are lazy.

These updates go into the OFFICIAL game. They have to make sure they do not break or damage the original software. Also its the mob vote, sure is one of the bigger updates, but its also in a series of updates. More things are added than just a mob. Ask modders how long it took them to mod an entire biome, an entire mob series, how long it took to take designs, the small details. A while, right? Now put that into an official game.

PEOPLE THIS IS AN ACTUAL. RUNNING. COMPANY. This means, that they are not just in charge of the game, theyre in charge of trades, all products. the lego products, the plush products, weird toy products. They are in charge of overseeing their revenue, and so many more things. MODDERS. dont typically have to do this.

Board meetings are gonna come and go. Thats when ideas come in. Remember that these devs are probably high-ranking people.

They are not modders, modding in their freetime. This is a job. A company.

Stop calling the devs lazy.

Stop using actual wars to invoke a feeling of "revolt".

I have 3 theories about what happened to Poppy and Viva's mother and King Peppy's queen. I'm pretty sure that if they did have a mother, she and Viva were separated from Poppy and Peppy by the Bergans at Trollstice. So here's where my theories come in:

1. The pop troll queen managed to escape the Bergans grasp and ran for her life with her daughter. She managed to safely hide Baby Viva and protect her from harm, but sadly was unable to save herself as the Bergans found her and ate her. 😔

Perhaps other Trollstice survivors found Baby Viva and may have raised her as their own. Her mother's death inspired Viva to lead the other Trollstice survivors (now known as the Putt Putt Trolls) to revolt against the Bergans, though she's currently unaware that the Pop Trolls and Bergans are now friends due to Poppy showing them true happiness is already in them.

I imagine Viva's mother's death being very similar to the deaths of other fictional mother's who sacrificed their lives for their children, e.g. Kira's mother, Po's mother and Tod's mother. *Warning* - Some of video examples I added may be distressing for some people.

2. Poppy and Viva's mother is still alive and living with Viva. I imagine it would certainly would a sweet idea to see Poppy and her long-lost mother reuniting, even more so, King Peppy reuniting with his wife and queen. I definitely see it being similar to Stoick and Valka's reunion

It's probably the least likely option as this movie is focused on Branch and his brothers reunion and this moment will probably take the attention away from that, but I still find this idea to be very sweet. 😊

3. It's very possible that Poppy and Viva don't have a mother. Considering we have proof that trolls can reproduce asexually, e.g. Guy Diamond giving birth to Tiny Diamond. I don't know if it's only glitter trolls that can do this, still it's certainly possible that happily single trolls can make and have babies by themselves if they want to start a family alone. It's certainly possible that King Peppy was one of these trolls. Plus, being a king he knew he needed an heir. Maybe Poppy expected herself to follow this process, which explains why see finds the idea of her and Branch getting married weird (that and because the idea of former hermit, Branch becoming king of the Pop Trolls also seems weird).

Possibly then, only Viva was taken by the Bergans, but either managed to escape or was rescued and raised by another Trollstice survivor. Viva later started a revolution against the Bergans for the many trolls lives taken by the Bergans and to protect the survivors.

Personally I believe that Poppy and Viva did/do have a mother, partly because the idea was mentioned in the original art of Trolls book that Poppy's mother died and I'd like to think this remains canon, and because I think twins usually happens when both sets of parents lay an egg each, though this is just a theory of mine.
