Pop Team Epic Season 2 Cast
Since the season isn't done yet, I'll be updating this later. Look forward to that!
Note:
Cast will be listed as the following order: Popuko and Pipimi
I will italicize which ones out of the episode I prefer more. The purpose of this is for those who only want to watch one part (since A and B are the exact same except for the voices and ad-libs)
If both are italicized, that means I liked both enough to vouch for watching both
If neither are italicized, that means I haven’t watched the episode yet.
Reasoning and my favourite roles will be listed under the cut if I wish to do so.
Episode 1:
A) Aya Hirano and Minori Chihara
B) Kazuhiko Inoue and Ryo Horikawa
Episode 2
A) Romi Paku and Rie Kugimiya
B) Nobuyuki Hiyama and Toshiyuki Morikawa
Episode 3
A) Ikue Ootani and Inuko Inuyama
B) Junya Enoki and Yuuma Uchida

Comments:
Episode 1:
A) The amount of joy I had watching this episode was
Episode 1:
A) It was a joy watching this pairing. This pairing is particularly known for Haruhi Suzumiya. It felt like watching something straight out of the late 2000s or something. They played off each other so well. Their bit at the end was also really sweet.
B) It’s not that I didn’t enjoy this pairing, but I thought they could’ve been even crazier with it considering the nature of the show. I feel like they probably had more significant roles together in the same show, but the first thing that came to mind for me was Naruto since they played Kakashi and Itachi respectively.
Episode 2:
The writing in this episode had significantly choppier writing. By that, I mean it was far less consistent in terms of getting laughs. Some segments felt like a waste of time.
A) At first, I felt like the roles should’ve been reversed UNTIL I REALIZED IT FIT PERFECTLY. Romi Paku plays the short blond Edward Elric and Rie Kugimiya plays the taller and blue Alphonse Elric. I was a fool. Their segments were genuinely good.
B) They were also really good, but I don’t recall a famous show that I’ve watched with this pairing since it was probably before my time.
Episode 3:
I really like the obvious spoof to Dora the Explorer. It was funny. "Can you point out the filthy old geezer as we chop his [bleep] off?"
A) OH MY FRICKING GOODNESS, THEY GOT PIKACHU AND MEOWTH!!! Yeah, it was fun to watch. They played off each other well. I thought this was going to be an easy win for the other side, but it was pretty much even. The only thing that made part B better were the ad-libs.
B) They are a well-known pairing as of recent anime like Jujutsu Kaisen and Kono Oto Tomare, but I wasn't prepared for how many funny ad-libs they were going to make. I mean, the amount of dick and other dirty jokes were hilarious. When I said this one was gonna be good, I MEANT IT. 110%. This actually made me smile all of the way through even when it wasn’t supposed to be particularly funny. I know not all of their ad-libs made it in (according to them), but they let in SO MANY AD-LIBS. IT WAS AMAZING. That's the only reason why I bolded them.

2022 Anime Watch: Anime-Gataris (Final Thoughts)
What started as just my excuse to watch something that had Anchan in it turned into an unexpected clusterfuck.
Tumblr media
(...and yet Kaede Hondo tried to win me over in the first episode).
Let-Let's actually talk about this anime for a while, because I'm still trying to wrap my head on the final two episodes. The comments on Crunchyroll and ANN aren't helping form a conclusion.
Instead, I'm breaking it down myself.
From episode 1-6, the episodes play out like a slice-of-life, sprinkling in some pretty informative references and nods to the animation industry in general. Hell, Erika....
Tumblr media
ACTUALLY, LET ME TELL YOU HOW BIG OF A DEAL ERIKA IS TO ME AND HOW MUCH I WANNA THANK THE WRITERS FOR MAKING HER A HUGE FAN OF "NOT FUTARI WA PRECURE". SHAMELESS OTAKU VOICED BY A LITERAL OTAKU FTW.
[Note: This is where you need to keep scrolling if you wish to avoid OP's sudden Anchan appreciation monologue. Otherwise, suffer the many Anchan caps coming your way.]
First off, it makes so much damn sense for Erika, AN OTAKU, to have such a pleasant, dynamic voice coming from Anchan, A LITERAL OTAKU IRL. Every moment involving her was enjoyable and entertaining; while at the same time, I get to see a side of Inami who is having fun with this role.
Tumblr media
(and no, the staff did not hold back on Love Live references...)
Tumblr media
(In fact, Precure and Love Live, alongside Re:ZERO, were mentioned so many times in the show I started questioning if this was the director's intent).
Other anime titles referenced include the following:
Neon Genesis Evangelion (not surprised)
Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon
Kuroko no Basket
Idolm@ster
Dragon Ball Z
Doraemon
Sally the Witch
Konosuba
Shirobako
Toradora
Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Paprika
Sakura Wars
Girls Und Panzer
Hamtaro
AND MUCH MORE!!!
-----------
[OP, we need to move on now and get to the clusterfucking].
Right....other than the Comiket ordeal; I mean, about the second half of the series. Episodes 7-8 start the whole "let's make an anime" phase, and I almost wanted to quit halfway when they actually did complete it (sans ending).
...although,
Tumblr media
DOES ANYONE SPOT ANCHAN IN THIS PHOTO OR AM I DERANGED?
Tumblr media
IS IT RIE OR IS IT ANCHAN??
MY MIND IS DYING
THIS POST IS GETTING TOO LONG
AND I'M LYING HERE WAITING FOR A CONFIRMATION
IS THIS RIE OR IS IT ANCHAN?!
------
Tumblr media
----
BEFORE I HAVE ANYMORE TANGENTS, LET'S END THIS POST WITH MY THOUGHTS ON THE FINAL TWO EPISODES, WHICH....
MAYBE THAT WAS TOO MUCH META FOR ONE SHOW TO HANDLE...THAT IT BROKE.
In fact, Episode 11 literally did it for me, from the Osomatsu style, to the text hitting Minoa in the face, to the dreaded 800x600 screen ratio (letterbox effect that was used in SO MANY FANSUBS AND DVD RIPS), and did I forget to mention...
THE RETURN OF THE [REDACTED]?
Episode 12 got even more fucked up...with the climax taking way too many plot twists to the point someone got ki--fourth wall broke the fourth wall broken by another fourth wall and everything collapses.
Even with a solid casting, decent comedy, and bold concept tackling the anime industry and everything that goes on, the final two episodes broke me. It was hilarious at times, but as soon as the main plot twist was revealed, I couldn't handle the pretzel that was forming in front of me.
Overall, I did enjoy it for the most part for being an ambitious project, albeit some of the characters felt a bit flat. YES GO WATCH IT IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN THE CLUSTERFUCK FOR YOURSELF.
For me, I'm giving this 🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊/ 10 CHIKAS IN A BOX OF MIKANS WAITING TO BOO ME FOR NOT RATING THIS SERIES ANY HIGHER.
-------------
That, my folks, concludes this month's anime watch. Next month will be packed with not only more Love Live Superstar, but the only Toei anime I will allow this year after the December 2021 incident. Continuing the Precure tradition as usual, join me next month as I dive into a "tropical" kind of time. Break out the makeup and--WAIT...MAKEUP!?
Tumblr media
Until next time, here's...you know what? Have some Soramaru while I go research some meditation techniques.

Happy 46th Birthday, Suzumura Kenichi-san! | 12.09.20
I only realized it was Suzuken’s birthday yesterday when I saw a Kiramune tweet wishing him a happy birthday. A day late, but here’s my birthday commemoration post talking about some of Suzuken’s roles that I love.
#1: Zack Fair - Final Fantasy VII
Tumblr media
Long live the best puppy, best friend, best soldier, best hero (and apparently it’s CC’s anniversary today on September 13, so... a happy 13th anniversary to Crisis Core!!). Anyway, in all seriousness, Suzuken’s voice suits Zack so much you can’t imagine anyone else voicing Zack once you’ve heard him. He sounds so natural. It’s like Zack was made for Suzuken xD Also, listening to Maaya and Suzuken as Aerith and Zack are just hhhhh so wholesome and cute >< Here’s to more Zack Fair in later parts of the Remake.
#2: Okita Sougo - Gintama
Tumblr media
God I’m sorry I love Okita so much the little shit xD No other comment other than he’s a little shit who has really cool action scenes and I love his interactions with Gintoki (dunno why but I love hearing him call Gin “danna” lol) and I will die asking for more Okikagu scenes (they’re hilarious omg) and Suzuken is just perfect
#3: Hitachiin Hikaru - Ouran High School Host Club
Tumblr media
another little shit, or well, two little shits. Hikaru and Kaoru, the insufferable twins xD I never really did read the manga and I’ve only watched like half of the anime (lol) but I loved Hikaru (for some reasons I don’t quite remember) and I kind of shipped him with Haruhi (and not because they’re Suzuken and Maaya, no). I like seeing them together :3
#4: Myoue - Kyousougiga
Tumblr media
Kyousougiga was a super cool anime. Very artistic and aesthetically pleasing. The story was quirky and unique with enough emotional depth. The characters were amazing! (Please I need more Rie Matsumoto anime!) Watched this back when I just started watching anime and I haven’t yet recognized a lot of seiyuu names but I remember loving Myoue and Suzuken as Myoue. Still one of the best anime in the last decade.
#5: Hans Humpty - Rokka no Yuusha
Tumblr media
Rokka no Yuusha was an interesting piece of locked-room mystery. Though I don’t quite remember the plot nor the characters, but I do remember liking it back when I first saw it, and Suzuken’s character was a favorite. Why I’m putting this on #5? Because I realize I haven’t seen a lot of Suzuken anime apparently and among others that I have seen, I think Rokka no Yuusha kind of tops them.
And for some honorable mentions:
Demyx - Kingdom Hearts
Tumblr media
I think I remember listening to Suzuken’s Demyx once upon a time. Yeah, kind of like that staple Suzuken’s upbeat character. I don’t remember much of Demyx’s Japanese voice, and my memory of him is based on his KH2 appearance (because I haven’t played KH3 yet). Still, I’d like to mention him here :)
Kokutou Mikiya - Kara no Kyoukai
Tumblr media
Another Maaya x Suzuken role :3 I need to get back to watching this tbh.
Mirokuji Yuuya - Re:Creators
Tumblr media
The series had an interesting premise, but it never really did deliver. Still, Yuuya was my favorite among the bunch, and Suzuken was a plus :D (also, it’s another anime with both Suzuken and Maaya!! And I loved the rivalry between their characters too! Maaya’s character was awesome)
Iyami - Osomatsu-san
Tumblr media
I still can’t quite associate Iyami’s voice with Suzuken... though I only watched the first...four episodes? of the first season ^^; Well, I’d still like to mention him here, because Suzuken as Iyami is just too weird xD

PICK MY NEXT RE-WATCH!
Hey, gang! So, it’s been a spell since I wrapped up my Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood re-watch, and I’m still buzzing from what a rewarding experience that was. Coming back to a show I watched a while ago with a fresh perspective, especially one I loved so much, stimulated my creative juices like never before. Not to mention it got me a whole hell of a lot of exposure; I’m inclined to think close to half of my current audience found me through one of my FMA posts that got popular. Bottom line, I really loved doing that re-watch, and with enough time past, I’m starting to think about doing the same for another show in the not too distant future. But this time, I put the controls in your hands: YOU get to choose which show I’ll take on for my next re-watch! Sound like fun? Click the “keep reading” tab to get all the details!
So, first things first: I’m limiting your choices to 6 different shows I can re-watch. I know, I wish I could give you total freedom too. Sadly, not every show I’ve watched would be condusive to a good re-watch. The reason re-watching FMA (and Evangelion earlier than that) was such a rewarding experience was because there was so much I had to say about it, so many things I had picked up on or was just picking up for the first time. The best shows to re-watch for this kind of analysis, in my estimation, are the shows I feel that I will have the most to say about. So the 6 shows I’ve picked out for you are the six shows that have most stayed in my mind from the days before I started this blog. They’re all incredibly popular, though, so I’m sure you won’t be at a loss for good options!
Second, and this is important: not all these shows are my favorites. All the shows I’ve re-watched up until now have been outright 10/10s for me, the best of the best that I will never stop singing the praises of. Not all of these options are. Some of them, I even would say I have significant issues with. But they’re issues I feel like I can get a lot of strong discussion out of; all of these are shows that I feel it would be worthwhile, for whatever reason, to watch again. So keep that in mind!
With all that said, here are your choices!
Angel Beats (currently 10/10)
Is it still my favorite anime after re-watching the rest of my top 3? Only one way to find out!
Code Geass  (currently 6/10 first season, 5/10 second season)
My opinion on this show has shifted so drastically since the first time I watched it; I feel like going into it with a clear head and plenty of context will really help sort out my overall thoughts.
Toradora  (currently 10/10)
The first rom-com I watched! Absolutely amazing, definitely want to see how it stacks up now that I’m more familiar with the genre. Also, I watched the (excellent) English dub the first time, so I might want to check out the original Japanese this time. For Rie Kugumiya, if nothing else.
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya  (currently 3/10)
God, this show is a mess. But I did watch it in the non-broadcast order the first time through, and I’m curious how experiencing it as the OG fans did would shift my perception of it.
Steins;Gate  (currently 7/10)
Again, watched the dub initially, and while I am loathe to surrender any J Michael Tatum in my life, Mamuro Miyano’s stellar work in Zombieland Saga makes me eager to see what else he’s got up his sleeve. Plus, it’ll give me an excuse to finally watch Steins;Gate 0, so that’s something.
Gurren Lagann  (currently 6/10)
My issues with this show can be summed up in one word: Kamina. Would I still have the same reaction today? Only one way to find out!
And there you have it! Whatever your choice, feel free to replog, reply, message me, shoot me an ask, just let me know what direction you folks are leaning in. I’ll probably make an official decision once the new year rolls around, so you have until Jan 1, 2019 to get your vote in! I look forward to whatever direction you folks take me!

My Top 10 Anime Openings (#10-6)
Tumblr media
#10 ◆︎ Hinamatsuri - Distance by Rie Murakawa
youtube
Coming from my most recent anime, Hinamatsuri’s opening is really good. This opening sequence shows us a glimpse of everyone’s daily life. The new life of Hina, symbolized by the cherry blossoms, is just about to begin. The song has a catchy guitar riff and your typical bittersweet japanese chord progression.
#9 ◆︎ Clannad After Story - Toki wo Kizamu Uta by Lia
youtube
This opening scene tugs my heartstrings really hard. Its serious tone reflects the atmosphere of this season and the last 20 seconds are really emotional. I also love the part where Nagisa is being illuminated from below.
#8 ◆︎ Bunny Girl Senpai - Kimi No Sei by the peggies
youtube
The visuals aren’t outsanding, but the song is really good and catchy. It has one of my favorite riffs in rock music and the full version is even greater! The lyrics also take a huge part on my appreciation since they kind of foreshadow the plot. Also, bunny girls.
#7 ◆︎ Gurren Lagann - Sorairo Days by Shoko Nakagawa
youtube
If this isn’t the true definition of “epic” then I don’t know what else could be. Gurren Lagann starts off with an heroic theme capable of piercing the heavens. Almost everything about this opening is amazing, the colors, the composition, etc. My favorite part is the segment after the 0:47 mark.
#6 ◆︎ The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya - Bouken Desho Desho? by Aya Hirano
youtube
The first time I watched this opening I knew I was going to fell in love with this show. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is truly a magical trip, and part of its magic is due to this wonderful opening. I can’t put my feelings into words, I love this opening. I guess the best adjective for it would be “nostalgic“.

30 Questions Challenge About Seiyuu
Inspired by @akaskira post.
Here’s my quick abridged version. I kept my answers as short as possible. I am planning on making an in-depth version of this challenge though where I’ll take each individual question and make a post about it! That includes updating my top ten seiyuu lists from before! I’ll also be including additional answers and more information, so stay tuned!
1. Your favourite male seiyuu?
Nobuhiko Okamoto and Yoshimasa Hosoya
2. Your least favourite male seiyuu?
I don’t have any “least favourites”, but I have a lot of “I definitely don’t like them as much as these people do”.
3. Your favourite female seiyuu?
Miyuki Sawashiro and Maaya Sakamoto
4. Your least favourite female seiyuu?
Since anime seems to be a bit lacking in terms of diverse archetypes of female characters, I end up not liking the voices behind the lacklustre characters.
5. A seiyuu you’d watch in anything?
Any of my favourites (female or male). That’s a wide range, so I usually go with whatever show’s plot is interesting. Those go on higher priority.
6. A seiyuu that always makes you laugh?
Tomokazu Sugita, Yuuichi Nakamura, Mamoru Miyano, the cast of Boku no Hero Academia
7. The seiyuu you recognize the easiest?
Hiroshi Kamiya, Yuuki Kaji, Noriaki Sugiyama, Mamoru Miyano,  Akira Ishida (sometimes), Saori Hayami (most of the time), Rie Kugimiya (sometimes)
8. The seiyuu you recognize the hardest?
Haruka Tomatsu, Aoi Yuuki, Akira Ishida (sometimes), Sakurai Takahiro (sometimes)
Akira Ishida has such a large range that sometimes it’s easy and sometimes it’s not.
9. A seiyuu you’d rather not watch in anything?
There isn’t a single seiyuu that I openly avoid.
10. A seiyuu that creeps you out?
Because of some of their roles - Yuuichi Nakamura - Yoshitsugu Matsuoka
11. The seiyuu with the best singing voice?
MAAYA SAKAMOTO and YOSHIMASA HOSOYA
12. A seiyuu you have a crush on?
Uh... no one? I don’t know. I don’t develop crushes easily.
Seiyuu that I think are attractive? Miyuki Sawashiro, Maaya Sakamoto, Sora Amamiya, Sakurai Takahiro, Nobuhiko Okamoto, Yoshimasa Hosoya, and a few others. The guys are most likely just for their voice and/or personality (that they show) though.
13. The seiyuu you’d pick to play you?
Yoshitsugu Matsuoka
14. Your favourite role from your favourite male seiyuu?
Nobuhiko Okamoto - Katsuki “Kacchan” Bakugou  Yoshimasa Hosoya - Sentarou
15. Your favourite role from your favourite female seiyuu?
Maaya Sakamoto - Haruhi Fujioka Miyuki Sawashiro - Bishamon
16. The seiyuu with the worst singing voice?

28. Best seiyuu match-ups, romance edition?
Kenichi Suzumura x Maaya Sakamoto Satomi Sato x Takuma Terashima
29. Seiyuu, who surprised you with their non-voice acting skills?
Of course, the fact that most seiyuu can sing/hold a tune
The number of seiyuu that can play instruments [source]

The fact that Mamo plays the harmonica and harp [source]
Nobuhiko’s ability to play shogi [source]

Sumire Morohoshi - Her roles in Bungou Stray Dogs and Welcome to the Ballroom have definitely left an impression on me as a viewer.

Seiyuu Rant: Gender Inequality
The following is a repost of a post I made in 2018. It was flagged and removed for “explicit content”.
The reason you don’t hear [female seiyuu] in anime is simply because she’s an older voice actor. Even someone as popular as Hanazawa Kana hasn’t been getting many roles lately. Those roles have all been going to cheaper and younger voice actors. It’s sad, but don’t expect Sakura Ayane to be as prominent after about five more years. That’s how the voice acting industry is.
- Reddit Commenter
Okay, so I was on Reddit when I asked, “What happened to Aya Hirano?” She used to be in her prime when she got roles in Lucky Star, Haruhi Suzumiya, Fairy Tail, and a whole bunch of other things. Her most recent role that stuck with me was Parasyte which was back in 2015. Since then, I have heard so little from her in seasonal anime.
That’s when someone brought up the elephant in the room… then shot it and stabbed it.
We all know the world is a sexist waste ball, but I have always turned a blind eye to the fact that female seiyuu get phased out really easily. I know Tumblr mostly focuses on male seiyuu since the demographic for this platform is usually younger women or something like that, but I think female seiyuu losing popularity and roles because they’re “getting older” is kind of sad.
In this rant, I rant about the inequalities and hardship facing female (and male) seiyuu. I added some stuff compared to last time.
Age:
Hanazawa was born in February 1989. She just turned 30. The idea that she’s not getting as many roles is kind of scary, isn’t it? Aya Hirano is 31. For Hanazawa and for the sake of anime, I hope that just isn’t true.
I know I always joke about people getting old and how they always go, “My back hurts!” or “I have to go to bed [at 8pm].” or “Back in my day…” (why do I even make fun of that? I do all of the above??) But these voice actresses aren’t even that old. I wouldn’t want anyone’s careers to slow down all because they reached the age of 30. A career slowing down should be by choice.
Average Age:
But if you want cold hard numbers, I’m going to do some math. I’m aware that I’m bad at math, so I’m going to explain this process. I made two posts about the TOP TWENTY seiyuu for both male and female.
Links: MALE | FEMALE
What is the average age? I added up the age of all twenty seiyuu then divided by twenty.  Unfortunately, all numbers hold the same amount of weight meaning that the number one spot and the number twenty spot both get calculated the same way.
Average Male Age: 37
From the No. 1 to the No. 20 spot: 43 + 33 + 38 + 38 + 35 + 40 + 32 + 44 + 40 + 27 + 51 + 32 + 36 + 27 + 38 + 44 + 34 + 35 + 46 + 31
Average Female Age: 29
From the No. 1 to the No. 20 spot: 23 + 33 + 29 + 26 + 24 + 27 + 31 + 39 + 24 + 23 + 38 + 29 + 28 + 26 + 25 + 38 + 24 + 34 + 33 + 30
I understand that male seiyuu tend to debut later, but that’s still a very large gap. Female seiyuu don’t even have anyone over 40.
[more below]
Health:
Not to mention, this seems to be a trend across the board, doesn’t anyone notice that both mangaka, seiyuu, and artists in general always get sick because they overwork themselves? Hosoya took a break because of his throat, Taneda took a break because of illness, Umehara took a break because of illness, Akesaka retired from singing because of her throat and health, Yurika Endou retired because her health was declining, Tooru Ookawa took a break due to illness, Keiji Fujiwara took a leave due to sickness then returned later on, and the list goes on.
Early Retirement and Demand:
If female seiyuu have to work that hard for a career that won’t last that long, no wonder some retire once they get married or pregnant. It’s not a viable option to stick around if you’re going to be pushed out like that in a few years time. I know there are exceptions and this and that, but this is just reality. Even once you finally make it, you’re only going to be there for a little while. And access to playing good female characters is always going to be limited, but that’s a rant for another time. I’m just saying that maybe if we had more good female characters, maybe we would have more demand for more voice actresses.
Image and Fans:
While male seiyuu have this too, I think it’s important to acknowledge that female seiyuu are expected to obtain “idol-like” images these days. They achieve this by restricting their personal lives by not dating and watching how they dress and present themselves and providing an innocent image for their fans to admire. While there are several examples of not being allowed to date, the most recent example of this is when Ayana Taketatsu got married to Yuki Kaji. [source]
Some of them do photo books (sometimes of a more provocative genre) that require them to pose and distribute images of themselves which can be uncomfortable, and while it’s arguably “consensual”, there is probably pressuring to do these types of things. Sometimes, they also post their “BWH” measurements. This means that they have to post their bust, weight, and hip sizes. It’s a very restricting lifestyle, and while fans of any seiyuu can be over-the-top, female seiyuu fans have been known to be exceptionally disrespectful.
Offences by Fans:
Eriko Nakamura was tracked when she went on a trip because someone went onto Google Maps and used her pictures to find out where she went and what route she took. But that’s just a specific example of how female seiyuu’s pictures are taken by fans and dissected (and distributed) to show what they do with their lives.
Nana Mizuki got death threats because she didn’t reply to a fan on a few occasions. Yurika Ochiai also received death threats and noted on her blog that she had to take a break from the public due to stress, but who wouldn’t be stressed about strangers threatening to kill them? Aya Ueto has received death threats as well. Arrests were made in these cases.
Haruna Ikezawa was stalked and defamed by a stalker who was later arrested. He wrote defamatory comments on the voice actress's homepage and repeatedly send messages asking for a personal meeting, telling the voice actress to "come by herself". It was not confirmed whether this was the same person, but someone also followed her through the streets at night resulting in a restraining order. [source]
Mai Kadowaki’s fan was arrested after he sent a letter saying that he would kill her parents. [source]
Aki Toyosaki got into heat because she was dating someone... despite being in her 30s. “Fans began posting photos her CD K-on singles broken into pieces and photos of her K-on character's face crossed out in red ink. One fan even uploaded a photo of Toyosaki surrounded by bullets and a hand menacingly gripping a knife (above). Another fan wrote on 2ch. about killing her. These might be "jokes", but they are hardly funny. [Source]
Sumire Uesaka was sent and read a letter where she was creeped out by a fan letter, but it was played off as a joke.
And during the Kokoro Connect scandal (which is included in some links below), Eri Kitamura was harassed by fans that were sending her dick pics and hate messages via twitter to the point where she had to stop using Twitter (she has resumed Twitter activity a while after).
I talk about this more below in the “scandals” section, but female seiyuu get heat for things that are arguably normal. Again, voice actors like Hikaru Midorikawa have gotten into scandals like this too (Midorikawa was accused of cheating because of a matching piece of jewelry or something).
Scandals:
When Aya Hirano’s scandal occurred, people were threatening her and cutting up her merchandise and pictures.
Daisuke Namikawa got into a scandal involving adultery where he allegedly cheated in 2004 when he got married in 2001. He cheated with a teenage girl who worked at his former agency. According to an interview, this relationship had gone on until “recently” (when it came to the surface in July 2017). [Source: Anime News Network]
In my opinion, cheating is one of the lowest things you can do to your partner, and if you do such a thing, you should have a good excuse. But with a teenage girl? Come on. At the start of the relationship, he was 28. He should’ve known better, yet, we never hold these acts against him. He’s still getting a lot of roles in anime, and as much as I don’t have anything against him as an actor and as a master of his craft, I can’t help but think of this whenever his image comes up.
In the Kokoro Connect Scandal, we see a public humiliation of a male voice actor. Two of the main players in the scandal are Takuma Terashima and Hisako Kanemoto. While I don’t know the complete reasons for this, Takuma Terashima can somehow still get roles and even sang the opening for that Slime anime? We don’t see Kanemoto often though.
The Arts Vision scandal was terrible. She was assaulted at only 16. This incident did occur in 2006, and he was released a few months later after his arrest. He stepped down as chairman in 2007. I feel like he wasn’t really held accountable. He apparently was released for medical reasons or something like that. Basically, bullshit. What’s even worse is the fact that he was the founder of the company, and this agency represents a lot of good voice actors Saki Fujita, Jun Fukushima, Souchirou Hoshi, Tomoaki Maeno, Kousuke Toriumi, Yuuichirou Umehara, and Daiki Yamashita just to name a few. It is also the parent company of I’m Enterprise which is another huge agency which houses Saori Hayami, Youko Hikasa, Kaede Hondo, Rie Kugimiya, Maria Naganawa, Mai Nakahara, Saori Oonishi, Ari Ozawa, Chiwa Saito, Ayane Sakura, Aya Suzaki, the Uchida siblings, Tatsuhisa Suzuki, Hiro Shimono, and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka. He had a lot of power, and I imagine this wasn’t his first time taking advantage.
Male Seiyuu Benefits:
So, male seiyuu get more leniency in expressing themselves, more time in the industry, more interesting parts, more work, and possibly more money. And when I say more leniency, I mean A LOT more leniency. The cast of Haganai was saying how it’s great how they can say “うんこ (poop)” in front of a large audience. Meanwhile, we have male seiyuu who can discuss panties without anybody judging. If a female seiyuu were to do that, she’d probably get scolded by her manager. They are to stick to a certain image, and they can’t do much outside of it. A huge part of Aya Hirano’s decline was caused by her sleeping with other band members (except for the bassist; RIP I’m a bass player).
While seiyuu in general cosplay, it’s far more difficult for female seiyuu to cosplay because of costumes in anime are... you know. There is a stream where Akari Kito is pressured into wearing the costume that her character wore, and yes, it did happen. If it’s any consolation, the seiyuu community felt a bit conflicted about it.
Harassment Within the Industry:
Like pretty much all industries, female seiyuu experience sexual harassment as well. Few have been open about it, but Atsuko Enomoto commented on the progression of the #metoo movement. She talks about wanting to give up and quit the industry. There have also been comments about producers and directors hitting on and harassing young female seiyuu, and they can’t do anything about it because they’re starting out. And this is only the stuff that makes it onto the surface.
Hiroko Konishi also shares her experience that happened decades ago where female seiyuu suffered from abuse, sexual harassment, and other hardship because they were expected to “sell themselves”.
There have even been comments on how there’s a “casting couch” in the industry.
Yurina Hase also speaks about the “casting couch” and how disgusting the industry is.
Hase revealed she experienced a "casting couch" situation once for an anime that was produced at Sunrise. She said that she was asked to perform sexual favors, and when she refused, she was notified the next day that she did not get the role. She said that this was her only experience with a casting couch as an anime voice actress.
Before the livestream, Hase wrote on Twitter that she planned to "reveal how I really feel," and that she has "the resolve to end everything."
In the stream, she also gave advice to "watch out for the male voice actors." She said that the newcomer male actors tend to let the attention go to their heads, and immediately try to lay their hands on the female actors.
She received multiple death threats in 2009, causing her stress. She later resigned from her role in the The IDOLM@STER series as Yukiho, and was replaced by Azumi Asakura. In 2014, she took a break from new voice acting roles.
Voice acting is a tough industry, but being a female voice actress is even tougher. I just wanted to put this rant out there because I casually say things about it from time to time, but with that Reddit comment, I think I finally wanted to give it its own post.

Project Sakura Wars will be set twelve years after the events of Sakura Wars 5: So Long, My Love. In this new entry, the Combat Revues, which previously protected nations from evil while working incognito, are well known to all.
Indeed, the Great Combat Reveue World War is more of a global sporting event, in which the Combat Revues from across the globe gather in Japan’s Imperial Capital to compete in a tournament. These disparate groups then compete to determine which country’s kouma-crushing corps reigns supreme. By the time Project Sakura Wars begins, two such events have already taken place, and the nations are gathering in the Imperial capital for the third. What should be a peaceful event, though, suddenly takes a turn for the serious.
Sega’s email communication describes the story as:
The stage is set in a romanticized version of 1940s Imperial Tokyo. 10 years ago, a cataclysm resulted in the devastating loss of the Imperial Combat Revue of Tokyo, the capital’s global defense force operating out of the Imperial Theater. The theater has since fallen on hard times and risks closure. As captain of the new Tokyo revue, it’s up to you to mend the hearts of your troops and restore the Imperial Theater back to its former glory!
Project Sakura Wars will receive an anime series, which will air in 2020. Manabu Ono (Sword Art Online: Alicization, Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere) will direct the project at Sanzigen and co-write the scripts with Tatsuhiko Urahata (Hi-Score Girl, GATE). Sakura Wars composer will score the soundtrack. Ohji Hiroi and Sega are credited with the original concept.
According to their Tokyo Game Show stream, the project will be a side story that supplements the events of the game.
Project Sakura Wars was first revealed on April 14, 2018 at Sega Fes, and was originally tentatively slated to launch prior to March 31, 2019. On April 19, 2019, Sega Holdings President and CEO Haruki Satomi confirmed that the project will be “more than a game.”
A western release was not confirmed until March 29, though Japanese Asian releases were confirmed to be in the works.
Sakura Wars is an original project by Sega CS2 R&D (later Overworks) and Red Entertainment. Ohji Hiroi (Moeyo Ken, Far East of Eden), Satoru Akahori (Saber Marionette J, Martian Successor Nadesico), and Kosuke Fujishima (Ah! My Goddess, You’re Under Arrest!) are listed as the original creators of the franchise.
The first title appeared on the Sega Saturn in 1996. The initial entry, while released only in Japan at the time, was estimated to have a 200,000 lifetime sales goal. The title sold 205,270 units in its opening week, which was roughly 57% of the launch shipment. At the time, the title was seen as having the largest debut for a Sega title to date. It would go on to move 359,485 copies throughout the Saturn’s lifespan.
Since then, the title has gone on to spawn:
Five main-line titles
Fifteen spin-off games
An anime TV series by Madhouse
Five anime OVA series
Seven manga and light novel adaptations
Sixteen high-profile live stage shows
The final main-line title in the series, Sakura Wars V: So Long, My Love was released in North America by NIS America. The title is available on Sony’s PlayStation 2, as well as Nintendo Wii console.

[caption id="attachment_12111" align="aligncenter" width="650"] Tựa game Kimi ga Nozomu Eien.[/caption]
[caption id="attachment_12113" align="aligncenter" width="650"] Misaka Mikoto (Toaru Majutsu No Index) – seiyuu Satou Rina[/caption]
Dưới đây là top 10 nhân vật tsundere được yêu thích nhất trong cuộc khảo sát trên trang mạng Charapedia:
Misaka Mikoto (Toaru Majutsu No Index) – seiyuu Satou Rina
Senjougahara Hitagi (Monogatari) – seiyuu Saitou Chiwa
Kousaka Kirino (Ore no Imoto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai) – seiyuu Taketatsu Ayana
Nishikino Maki (Love Live!) – seiyuu Pile
Kirisaki Chitoge (Nisekoi) – seiyuu Touyama Nao và Tomatsu Haruka
Shana (Shakugan no Shana) – seiyuu Kugimiya Rie

Louise (Zero no Tsukaima) – seiyuu Kugimiya Rie
Asuka Langley Soryu (Neon Genesis Evangelion) – seiyuu Miyamura Yuuko
Minase Iori (THE IDOLM@STER) – seiyuu Kugimiya Rie

Top Ten Favourite Female Seiyuu
My first one didn’t do a whole lot of justice, so I decided to have another go at it! Here we go! Time to edit this up!
I notice that I didn’t include as many female seiyuu in my honourable mentions, but that’s because I had an easier time choosing here! I kind of knew what voices I liked from the beginning. I also don’t like the really high pitched annoying characters sometimes (with exceptions), so that was taken into consideration.
Some honourable mentions that I didn’t get the chance to mention were: Yuu Kobayashi, Ami Koshimizu, Chiwa Saito, Marina Inoue, Mai Nakahara, and Mamiko Noto. I love their voices and their roles, but I haven’t watched a whole lot of them either in anime or singing. I also seem to remember seiyuu more from their characters, and it’s a real shame that there aren’t as many female anime characters that are as well developed as their male counterparts which is why I don’t remember their characters as often. But most of it is just because I haven’t watched their major work yet.
Honourable Mentions:
Sakura Ayane
Tumblr media
I just wanted to give a shout out to her because her performance of Uraraka is amazing, and she really nails her positive personality. She plays a range of other characters (sadly I haven’t watched most of them). I’ve been impressed by her other characters as well. Niwatori in Juuni Taisen has such an innocent personality at first, and even though it wasn’t a very good anime, she gave this character a lot of life despite being a character with only one episode of development. Haru in Nisekoi was the annoying little sister nobody wanted, but I’m proud of the fact that she makes me hate some characters that she plays because I think that’s the point most of the time. Suzuka from Tokyo Ravens is another example of this. That doesn’t mean she doesn’t have range though. Her role as Ryouko in Tsurezure Children surprised me. Roles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yh6QDBvTn34 Singing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpV6YFq6SrU Bonus: https://youtu.be/DRUzKPD68W0
Aoi Yuuki
Tumblr media
Range. Just range. I can’t tell it’s her ever. Just never. I originally knew her for voicing Tsuyu from My Hero Academia, but after searching her up, I realized her range. Even though I didn’t watch most of the anime she has done, just clips of it can give you the biggest shock of a lifetime. I didn’t realize she was Kayo from Erased, Madoka from Madoka Magica, Tatsumaki from One Punch Man, Diane from The Seven Deadly Sins, and Lulu in League of Legends. She apparently also games. Roles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7pnmeV3MD0 Singing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1C4bmNIWyA
Aya Hirano
Tumblr media
(I couldn’t find a gif of her, but have a Haruhi)
Okay, so maybe she has fallen off the grid for a bit, but the reason for some people now hating her is really stupid. I won’t get into it, but people are allowed to have lives outside of their work. Who would’ve known? Besides that, she is a talented singer who I know for voicing Lucy from Fairy Tail and Haruhi from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. She is also known for her role as Konata in Lucky Star and Misa in Death Note. Roles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dcDIA_VDyXA Singing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWB01IuMvzA (wow this song is catchy)
NOW FOR THE LIST!
10. Maaya Uchida
Tumblr media
This is slightly bias because she did just such a good job playing Hiyori. I love her voice and can’t imagine anyone else playing one of my favourite characters. With that being said, I think the best role I’ve seen from her, but she has done a ton of other roles too. Takanashi Rikka from  Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! is another role that stands out to me. She truly makes me want to believe alongside her with her “eighth-grade syndrome”. Alluka from Hunter x Hunter is a role I didn’t expect, but I thought for the few clips I watched it was amazing and bone-chilling. I haven’t watched Rea from Sankarea, Yusa from Charlotte, and a bunch of other roles. Roles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkGPh-BIoHo Singing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYSz35K8LaM
9. Mizuki Nana
Tumblr media
Wow. I have a hard time recognizing her too, but maybe that’s because of her incredible range. On top of being a singer, she’s a tremendously talented voice actor. I know her as the soft-toned Hinata, but she has so many other roles. I haven’t watched a lot of her more prominent roles, but I have watched her as Hakuei Ren in Magi, Lan Fan in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and Kisaki in WWW.Working! She has several other roles that I haven’t watched. The reason she has been placed this high on this list is that of the range I’ve seen in her performance and that craziness of her voice. Roles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZpcbDTZhbw Singing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBO64zFAF1Q
8. Romi Park
Tumblr media
(I couldn’t find a gif)
Yes. Her range is amazing. Edward Elric was given a voice by her. She is relatable, and she’s bilingual (and possibly trilingual) too! She speaks Korean and she has studied English! I haven’t watched a lot of shows with her in it (or at least completely), but here are a few roles that you might know her from. Ganta from Deadman Wonderland, Toshirou from Bleach, Temari from Naruto, Akane from Danganronpa, Switzerland from Hetalia, Angelina from Black Butler, Hange from Attack on Titan, and so many other roles! She’s really good at singing too! She’s so talented! Side note: She often represents Arakawa Hiromu (the mangaka of Fullmetal Alchemist), and I didn’t notice until now. Wow. Roles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgmvx1yfr4Q Singing: (in English apparently) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgmvx1yfr4Q (Japanese) https://youtu.be/cWbMom6MDCE
7. Tomatsu Haruka
Tumblr media
Weirdly, sometimes I have a hard time recognizing her voice. She has voiced such a large range of characters. She was one of the characters who gave me feels in Anohana where she played Anaru. I had so much fun watching a clip of Gintama’s genderbend where she played a female Gintoki. She was an independent protagonist in a shoujo as Shizuku in Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun and the Miyakoshi horrible cook who kills in WWW.Working. Other people might know her as Asuna from SAO, Megumi from Accel World, Shiro from Tokyo Ghoul, Ichika from Waiting in Summer, Rena in ReLife, Megumi from Shiki, and now you might know her as Zero Two in Darling in Franxx. But my favourite role from her is definitely Morgiana from Magi. She was such a badass, and I loved every minute with her on screen. She has so many other roles, and she sings really well too. Roles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQOmY_gFQrE Singing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwEofctFN3E
6. Kana Hanazawa
Tumblr media
She has done so many characters and is really popular. I love a lot of her roles, but this list is full of only the best of the best, so number 6 isn’t that bad! I love a good number of the characters she does too. She made me absolutely despise her in Akame Ga Kill as Seryuu. She was great as Shiemi from Blue Exorcist and broke my heart a little as Kanade from Angel Beats. I loved her little side roles as Lucy from Bungou Stray Dogs and as Kougyoku Ren from Magi. Sonohara from Durarara, Natsume from Tokyo Ravens, Chiaki from Danganronpa, and Onodera from Nisekoi are just a few other roles I’ve watched from her. I hope to watch Psychopass, the Monogatari series, Orange, Sakurada Reset, and Steins;Gate. Roles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDC6SpI3xA0 Singing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-caezFDfTs
5. Sora Amamiya
Tumblr media
She voices so many cool characters! Her portrayal of Akame was awesome. I was in it since then. But like all these other actors: range. I mean, Aqua from Konosuba is a character I despise, but she plays her brilliantly and makes me hate her so much. Other characters I’ve watched her play are Elise from Bungou Stray Dogs, Natsuki in Anthem of the Heart, Elizabeth in The Seven Deadly Sins, Touka in Tokyo Ghoul, and Shiho in WWW.Working. She has a lot of other roles too! Roles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AaQsOj9RUOY Singing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9IN61D92OY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rb85LQHEdqU Bonus: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQR5UM9VeyE
4. Saori Hayami
Tumblr media
She’s so cool. I’ve seen her play Chiriko from Anohana, Himawari from Boruto, Sharyuu from Juuni Taisen, and Emi from Your Lie In April. One of her most outstanding role for me was Shirayuki. I wouldn’t have it any other way because she gives her such a feeling of elegance, humility, and innocence. But one of the best roles I’ve seen from her is as Shouko from A Silent Voice. That movie shocked me and left me absolutely stunned. Her portrayal was timeless, moving, and amazing. I was hit in the feels, and her performance along with Miyu Irino will probably stay with me forever. She sings some good OPs, but she can also scream at the top of her lungs and play some insane characters. Just look at Kakegurui. I have only seen a couple of scenes from that anime, but there are so many other roles that I want to see from her! Serebryakova, Viktoriya Ivanovna from Youjo Senki, Urara from Yamada, Yukino from SNAFU, Yutsugi from the Monogatari series, Minami from Tokyo Ghoul (Jack), Shinoa from Owari no Seraph, Saki from Higashi no Eden, and several other roles! Roles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhBvZWG8oRQ Singing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_9PWDkqbcs
3. Rie Kugimiya
Tumblr media
Okay wow. She’s amazing. Alphonse Elric has such a childish and innocent personality that was aided by her voice. She gave Taiga the perfect tsundere voice. She gives Kagura life and energy with her high-pitched voice. Those are my top three roles from her. Nobody else would ever be able to top those. Nora from Noragami is a character that I love to hate. I really want to watch her as Shana in Shakugan no Shana and as Juuzo from Tokyo Ghoul, and even though she doesn’t have as many roles that I want to catch up on, she plays three anime characters that I love. Her voice is the only one I hear when I see those three characters, and I would love to see her in other works as well. Roles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mL6wgRNtkcc Singing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayJdEzhqQ0I
2. Maaya Sakamoto
Tumblr media
Holy moly her singing voice is really good. Her relationship with Kenichi Suzumura is so sweet, and I wouldn’t have found out about him if it wasn’t for her. She can play little girls, boys, and wonderfully beautiful well-developed androgynous characters. Her role in Kara no Kyoukai as Shiki sends chills down my spine. It almost distracted from the fact that I had no clue about the timeline. She portrayed the craziest Crona in Soul Eater was absolutely insane. Scherezade from Magi was another role I’ve seen from her. Nino from Arakawa Under the Bridge was so quirky and wonderful, and I loved her weirdness. Haruhi was another role from her that I absolutely loved. She was calm, talented, and played a nice protagonist that I liked compared to the rest of the main cast. But I have so much catching up to do on her other roles because she has so many! Motoko from Ghost in a Shell, Falangies from Arslan Senki, Shinobu in the Monogatari series, Ciel in Black Butler, Merlin in the Seven Deadly Sins, and Eto and Sen from Tokyo Ghoul. She is such a badass because she plays a lot of cool characters. Roles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=coN0PuJrp_o Singing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5j74CRP-QCA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4SL_Hd4ItPw
1. Miyuki Sawashiro
Tumblr media
She is honestly such a nice person. I watched a segment with her and her brother. She sounds like an awesome older sister. She plays so many badass women. Bishamon is honestly such a caring badass goddess who takes in people because she wants to care for them. She is a respectable goddess who is one of my favourite Noragami characters. Celty is a mysterious biker who is also a badass. Even though she barely speaks literally in Durarara, Miyuki reads her texts perfectly. The quest to find what she has been missing is one of my favourite sides of the story. Seo from Gekkan Shoujo is an inspiration who I love to this day. She’s one of my favourite characters, and I always rewatch her scenes. I have also seen her as Kusaribe in Zetsuen no Tempest (which I didn’t really like), Isasawa in Angel Beats, Touko in Danganronpa, Ul and Ultear in Fairy Tail, and Ayane in Kimi ni Todoke. I want to watch a lot more anime with her in the future including Shion in Psychopass, Sugura in the Monogatari series, Toto Sakigami in Deadman Wonderland, Seri in K, Shane in Charlotte, Kira in Btooom, Leona in Yamada, Himeko in Kokoro Connect, Kana in Kiseijuu, and Kurapika from Hunter x Hunter. I love her voice and her singing. She apparently knows how to play the piano too. I can’t even express in words how much respect I have for her. Roles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAcgJyuO5rM Singing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AM5OaDR-5U Bonus: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBhlM0UpHLU
I think this concludes the list. I had such a hard time coming up with the order. I love my female seiyuu picks, and if you know anyone that I missed that I should’ve mentioned, just tell me! There aren’t that many female seiyuu Tumblr accounts though, so if you know any, send those to me too!
Shout out to @akaskira for this idea!

My Top 10 Anime Ending Songs (#10-6)
Tumblr media
#10 ◆︎ Top Wo Nerae! Gunbuster - Try Again...! by Noriko Sakai
youtube
My 2019 was inaugurated by Top Wo Nerae! Gunbuster. This anime was recommended to me a lot of times when I asked for shows similiar to Gurren Lagann. At first, I tried to avoid it as much as I could as I couldn’t stand the old aesthetics, but, thank Haruhi I gave it a try. Gunbuster is now part of my Top 5 list and it deserves that spot. This ending is SO 80s I want to vomit. The catchy city pop tune goes really well with all the washed out visuals and it’s overall just too cute to exist. “Demo ne, ANKOORU!”
#9 ◆︎ Darling in the FranXX - Torikago by XX:me
youtube
Darling in the FranXX wasn’t that bad. It had some pretty cool ending themes, and it’s hard to choose the best one out of them. Musically, my favorites are Torikago and Manatsu No Setsuna, but, if we take into consideration the visuals, Torikago wins without a doubt. This ending shows our girls in casual outfits (never seen before), posing around a normal city, instead of the artificial plantations they live on. There’s a lot of post-processing and it looks SO PRETTY. The song also has a slight sad tone on the chorus and it alone makes me want to rewatch the series.
#8 ◆︎ Non Non Biyori Repeat - Okaeri by Kotori Koiwai, Rie Murakawa, Ayane Sakura and Kana Asumi
youtube
It’s impossible to not die from the beauty of this show. I watched Non Non Biyori and it’s sequel when the latter was airing. Hearing the flute at the end of the episode made me very pissed off because it’s “the end”. On the bright side, the ending song was beggining, and it was pure joy listening to such a cute theme. The xylophones, the accordion, the flute, everything screams purity and wholesomeness. I need to rewatch this soon.
#7 ◆︎ The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya - Tomare! by Aya Hirano, Yuko Goto and Minori Chihara
youtube
I survived The Endless Eight -- Wait, no. I LOVED The Endless Eight.
Tomare! is one of the coolest endings I’ve watched. It really captures the spirit of adventure The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is about. Visually, this ending is rather simple. We don’t get to see much action until the last part of it but that’s not a bad thing. Seeing the empty school corridors and classrooms makes me want to revisit those places in my head.
0:39 onwards is my favorite part. The song uses a sweet spine-chilling chord progression while we see our Haruhi Suzumiya standing against a bright blue sky, facing the wind. One by one, our friends join the scene. Next up is a shaky camera recording the heroes running in the courtyard, and then, some pictures of the SOS Brigade having “fun” while following Haruhi around. It’s amazing.
#6 ◆︎ K-On!! - No, Thank You! by Houkago Tea Time
youtube
A Top 10 Endings list without Houkago Tea Time? Impossible!
I don’t know what to say about this ending other than that it’s badass, serious and stunning. The song starts with a calm xylophone and then the distorted guitars and drums kick in blasting us away into another amazing theme by our tea-loving japanese highschoolers.

But what are my thoughts?
I think the public didn’t do too bad of a job. I would’ve done a lot differently, but they definitely picked some talented people. A good handful of my favourites are at least on the list. Apparently, Hanazawa topped the two previous years, and that doesn’t surprise me because she takes on a lot of roles. I hope Miyuki’s place doesn’t drop next year all because she got married and had a kid though.
