oh this made me laugh out loud. that's quite the getup. i feel so bad for the fool square-r Milennials including myself who never had the guts to be this far out, so you can imagine as somebody who is more square than Scott Weiland, who was considered like ... a corporate whore by most people anyone talked music with, and still is probably... when he's way more far out than all his critics, I just don't know, kids...

What's funny is Weiland sounds exactly like Kurt Cobain or the incesticide liner notes here. I'm guessing Scott Weiland was ripping off Kurt on that. Also it's really creepy to me how much he copped Cobain's accent and applied it to myself... one hell of a mimic here, though I mean, that's generous and I should just say plagiarist.

Stone Temple Pilots - Big Bang Baby (Official Music Video)

This music video came out when I was 11 and on vacation in Florida.  I already loved Stone Temple pilots, so it was nice to see this every few hours on MTV- I was stuck inside after having a seizure due to dehydration and heat stroke.  My family was across the street at the beach while I sat on shag carpet in the beach house, knees pulled to my chin, drinking strawberry kiwi Gatorade with the worst skin peeling and blistering of my life- a bottle of cold aloe vera sat on the glass coffee table behind me.  But MTV, VH1, and BET saved me during that vacation.  This video came on and I loved all of it- the drunken, sloppy dancing and eyeliner, Scott’s green pants, Dean’s goofing off.  All of it.  And at the time I also got a sense of the androgynous aspects in the video that I could not quite explain then...and am having trouble explaining now, really.  I knew then, as I know now, that what attracts me or peaks my interest isn’t strictly masculine or feminine in the traditional sense of those words.  I get nauseatingly bored with tradition and cookie-cutter.
