How would your KC react to coming home and finding all three of his son's drunk off their robo butts? Like let's say it's some good robot alcohol. Lol

KC would force them into beds and make them drink coffee to sober up a bit and eat something to assist that. Sure, they’re adults and they make their own choices but KC would rather not hear them drunkenly talking about who they find attractive.

Its nice knowing that his sons have love lives and all but he’d rather not hear Eclipse ever say he’s a bottom again, or Blood Moon drunkenly blabbing about finding DJMM hot now that he has a humanoid body, let alone the bleach he’d like to pour in his circuits when Harvest Moon talks about wanting a partner just to check if he truly likes being choked.

KC half-ignores them continuing to drunkenly admit things like Eclipse finally admitting he feels like he doesn’t deserve to be loved, Blood Moon tearily admitting he’s touch starved, and Harvest Moon crying talking about how he wants a pet cat to keep with him forever because he doesn’t like being alone now that the twins are in separate bodies.

robo’s rebellion moment made me chuckle, it’s also so sweet that his mom helped familiarize him with the guitar!

i still don’t know what questions to ask so ig this is like another ‘ today i want to talk about [ insert thing here]’ (heck, it can be another 5 of those, however many you need/want)

i guess a question is how did roope find robo and otter? what made them realize that they fit/work together in that way?

i had to marinate and think a Lot on how robo, jake, and roope all meet bc obviously coming from 3 different places there has to be an element of chance but also. i dont wanna go completely batshit lmao. here's an Attempt at explaining my thoughts!!:

otter still goes to college but instead of bu. bc he's not pursuing hockey. he ends up going to ut austin (its a good communications school and he actually has a communications degree like. real life)

he doesnt rlly Love school but he’s figuring out what he wants in life and his parents wanted him to go. so.

robo and him meet at some random ass show in texas, where robo only is bc his family drove over in the rv for a Different show

they dont immediately run off together and play music lol but they do keep in contact via text and calls for a few months, rlly Bond and become super close

robo comes through texas with his family again eventually but theyre not performing in austin this time, just dallas. so jake goes out there to see them

they've kind of vaguely been talking abt forming their own band at this point but obviously there's the distance that both of them are kind of. scared to close on a whim for smthn that might not work. and also they want to get someone who can consistently do lead vocals and play bass etc

anyways. they have a couple free days so they go to random house shows and smaller venues around dallas

roope is in the area bc at this time he's playing in the NAHL but heavily considering dropping hockey for music (he Actually played for bismarck and for like 2 games but. for the au ive decided he played longer for the lone star brahmas lol) and is basically just trying to find out what he's heading for, what he Wants

they see roope performing with a band that is like. Not His but just kind of a random assortment of his friends in the scene fucking around having fun (the house show is at one of his friend's places)

and roope is not. a great singer. he's not professionally trained and amazing. but he has a really fucking unique and cool voice (they will later find out this is bc of his accent and aversion to having a clear throat) so theyre like. heavily heavily intrigued bc they think it could make for a sick sound . in their band. what a coincidence!!

robo. looking like the most average dude ever. walks up to him after like hey ... we saw u from across the punk house and rlly dig ur vibe. and otter is kind of mortified but also is like ^^ play music with us please just to see ^^

roope is in an . emotionally difficult time in his life trying to decide if he wants to take a leap and leave all he's ever known his entire life. so obviously he jumps at the first chance and is like. Fuck It let's do it

obviously there's more logistics - roope finishes out his season before fully committing to the band, robo has to have this whole discussion with his family and have this emotional ass move to dallas, otter doesnt drop out completely but does have to explain to his family that his band is going to be his first priority at some point and starts taking only online classes etc - but thats how those three kind of. Meet and Click

theyre also still having bassist woes and thats when roope calls miro etc but. this isnt abt him rn for once

its a weird mix of a lot of Right Place Right Time scenarios, but how else do two americans who have no reason to ever meet end up with two finns who have little reason to be in america in the first place!!

i also think at first there's not really. Issues necessarily. but it takes a while for otter and robo, who are both super friendly open people, to kind of figure out roope's whole thing so they can finally click. which he's not Unfriendly per se but also he's not going out of his way to make conversation. but once they figure out oh he doesnt hate us and he's not even like one of those mean snappy punks he's just. european.. it's all relatively smooth sailing from there lol . it also helps when miro finally arrives and is both much friendlier at face value and also has roope being overly affectionate and up his ass 24/7 (which eventually bleeds over into his interactions with the other two)

Number 14.5: Valnar of the Sea, is the first scenario of the GaoGaiGar game BLOCKADED NUMBERS. While obviously released much later, it is intended to go here, the events are not too relevant to GaoGaiGar itself, but will matter later.

G-Park Sea is a theme park off the coast of G-Island. Orca handler Kazamatsuri Sumire is having trouble with Valnar, who refuses to eat, but emerges to greet the kids, who have befriended them, by coincidence Sumire is also Gai and Mikoto's kohai, Penchinon is also at G-Park Sea. In the Main Order Room discussion turns to the days off, Swan has been saving her time off up, but is currently helping Dr. Leo, who wants to adapt the Cyborg tech for civilian medical use. Sumire and Mikoto were in gymnastics club together, while the kids met her at her previous aquarium on a field trip, as well as Valnar. Mamoru and Valnar okay, the kids then ride around the park, Ushi briefly spots the camouflaged Volfogg by the fish attached to him, Mamoru is now aware the ninja is watching out for him. They then collect stamps around the park, watch the hero show, Gagagacchi Vs King Snow, a Magic Show, Uppo has now moved to G-Park Sea, and Valnar's show, the orca seeming unhappy, and go to cheer her up.

When the kids see Mikoto and Gai, Reiko wants to throw herself at her DFL, but Ushi stops her so the two can have their moment, multiple times, as they Water Slider, get bored by an educational film. 

In a private moment, Sumire tells Gai how sad Mikoto was after the Shuttle explosion, and she became depressed as well, and admits she had feelings for Gai as well, or rather still does, she runs off embarrassed, the kids overheard, and when they see Mikoto it's all they can do to stop Ushi blabbing, she finds Gai and hits the nail on the head instantly, Gai unwilling to admit it, the kids panicking as she seeks Sumire, then Mamoru really panics when he sees Mikoto annoyed with Gai using binoculars, and they look for Sumire, and see there may have been some rivalry over Gai. 

Valnar is still sad, upsetting Sumire, as Penchinon approaches with Zonder Metal, triggering Mamoru's senses. 

Mikoto is refusing to talk to Gai when he gets the alert, Volfogg invisibly rushes last dropping off Gai's armour, and GGG dispatch HyoRyu and EnRyu. 

As the Zonder Robo rampages, the kids can find neither Valnar not Sumire, and they escape on the coaster, the course switches to another route, and they get launched in the air but mysteriously land safely, as they head for the emergency exit they seem unaware of the loner boy watching while holding a ton of merch. The kids find Sumire and the Zonderised Valnar, Volfogg protects them while Sumire chases after Valnar, seeing Cyborg Guy telling Sumire to let them handle Valnar, as the Zonder Robo appears overhead, GaiGar facing it as HyoRyu and EnRyu evacuate. 

Mikoto makes it back to the Main Order Room in time to initiate Final Fusion, but Valnar grabs GaoLiner, stopping the process, Big Volfogg with some effort shoots Valnar's attacks to retrieve it, so they Take 2, Dividing Drivers an arena, Broken Magnums but can't penetrate the shield, overwhelmed, until the brothers hold Valnar off so he can recover, he readies Hell and Heaven, Sumire panics seeing this, and begs him to stop as he rips the core from the Zonder, but after Mamoru purifies it Valnar isn't breathing. Give this has never happened before everyone's pretty shocked, Taiga orders EI-15 records to be expunged. Swan and Dr. Leo request to be sent straight there. 

In the Pendant End the Cyborg process was a success, Valnar is now kept alive by a G-Stome, and performs with Sumire, she gives Gai a pendant of herself and confesses, leaving Gai dumbfounded and Mikoto jokingly wishing him happiness. 

In the Boyfriend End, Mamoru insists on following Sumire, leaving Volfogg, and directly running into Gai and Sumire arguing, and Broken Magnum breaks through the barrier, breaking through the Zonder Robo:s body, at which point Sumire runs away devastated, before Hell and Heaven. Here she tells Mikoto about her feelings after the show, but introduces her boyfriend, saying Gai is her idol.

In the Cyborg End the survey is more total, creating Cyborg Valnar, guardian of the seas. 

In the Zonder End, Gai stops Hell and Heaven in response to Sumire's shout, and GaoGaiGar is impaled by the Zonder Robo, the G-Stone shatters and a massive explosion occurs, Gai is certainly dead. In the Main Order Room everyone is devastated, while Penchinon celebrates an assured victory. The credits who the Zonderians conquest of earth, before the moon crashes into it, Complete Mechanisation achieved.

completely impromptu mario and luigi characterization (specifically about remake stuff) blabbing under the cut bc I Am Like This… 

i genuinely am kinda confused how some say bowser’s minions proves that fawful wanted to betray cackletta… 😅

i usually see the scene where he’s like, “i’m busy with scheming” to cackletta - or the scene where he has a giant robo factory in bowser’s castle are both brought up…

…but he still refers to cackletta respectfully in the former scene (not to mention, in earlier scenes he says he’s recruiting for cackletta’s army, versus his own, or something like that)  - and for the latter - he mass-produced the very same robots to destroy the beanbean kingdom for cackletta. 

there’s also the bis remake’s addition of his battle theme, which contains cackletta’s leitmotif (on top of the emphasis of her leitmotif in the pre-existing deep castle theme). 

i def think there’s an angle you could take in interpreting him where fawful’s tired of being overworked by his mistress and may have not seen her favorably - esp since there is pre-remake dialogue that supports this interpretation - (mainly his pre-final battle speech in superstar saga, as well as his final speech in bowser’s inside story in the french and japanese vers of the game)… but again, none of it suggests a desire to outright betray her.

I often love talking about comics but rarely get to do so with others. It was really fun to write about my favorites awhile back due to that twitter prompt. So I wanted to share 5 other favorites of mine.

Spider-man Epic Collection: With Great Power

When I was 8 years old i was obsessed with Spider-man, where i devoured everything that had to do with him. As i got older, I had fallen completely out of love with Spider-man for a variety of reasons. These comics reminded me of everything i loved about him. It’s pure fun. It’s fun watching Peter Parker grow out of the kind of self centered asshole he is at the beginning. It’s fun seeing this comic be both a send up of both superman conventions and archie love triangles . It’s fun seeing this poor kid way way way over his head and blunder into things horribly but still come out on top. And it’s fun to see how friggin’ colorful and b-movie monster the series can be. But most importantly, it’s “Amazing” to see Steve Ditko really drawing his heart out. There are pages in this comic that if i could i’d frame on my wall.  Damn it’s friggin’ beautful.

King City/Multiple Warheads

People who know me know how massive a fan of Brandon Graham i am. It’s rather embarrassing. But it’s mostly because his works opened up a whole world of possibilities for me and i haven’t looked back since. Ask me on different days and i’ll tell give you a different answer as to which is my favorite. What draws me to this stuff is the incredible world building, the artstyle which is still unlike anything i’ve ever seen before (a blend of european/japanese/underground/graffiti), the wonderful exotic weirdness for the works, and the writing which can be equal parts minimal, insightful, and pun heavy. There just really isn’t anything like it. But most of all it’s cool. From cool characters, cool fashion, cool lingo, it’s a breath of fresh air in a sea of comics that play it safe.

Death: The High Cost of Living

Neil Gaiman was an author i only knew from an episode of Arthur and that time he wrote “the death of batman“. Since then i’ve dove right into his works and fell in love with the sandman universe. And to this day, Death the High Cost of Living is one of my favorite works. I love it for the high concept “one day every century, death becomes mortal“, the pacing, and how lovingly illustrated it is. It’s a brilliant look at mortality but it’s also such an enjoyable read because Gaiman gives Death a wonderful personality. And of course i fell in love with her instantly.

Atomic Robo Vol. 4: Other Strangeness

“If under Iron Man’s armor beat the heart of Indiana Jones, you’d get an idea of what Atomic Robo is like“ This was on the back of one of the TPB’s and it’s entirely accurate. The first 5 or so volumes are my cherished possessions. Because it had everything. Comedy, action, adventure, robots, dinosaurs, and super science gone mad. It was fun with a capital F and pulp with a capital P. I specifically chose this volume because it’s Robo at his best and it includes adventures involving the ghost of Thomas Edison, a mad scientist dinosaur who is stupid, a kaiju rampage in japan, and a dimension filled with vampires.

Ai Yori Aoshi: Vol. 1

I’m a hopeless romantic at heart and I like wholesome love stories. Ai Yori Aoshi fits that bill perfectly.  It’s a beautiful love story of 2 people who really need the other but first have to understand each other as people. Who have to give things up in life and decide what’s really important; each other. It’s sweet, awkward, funny, and full of feels. The series is kinda weird because it starts off as well written/well drawn if outlandish love story then turns into a crummy harem comedy for most of its run before going back to what it was at the beginning. For that reason i treat the first volume as a stand alone manga.

i’m not uncomfortable with cortana being mandatory on current laptops, including my own. i have no beef with robos. the REAL problem is the humans, the corporation behind these robos; the corporations our info is being sent to.

Remember That Time... Vol. 01

Remember that time Eobard created giant robot horses from prison in exchange for a pardon, and then released one back into the 20th century in a long con to have an ugly statue stolen for him by Hal while he and Barry vibrated into each other, fusing together to defeat the giant robot horse by stomping it to death, and then Eo accidentally blabbed his whole plan after Hal returned with a dissolved statue and Barry defeated him by stripping his suit off?

This is the cover art to one of Eo’s lengthy Eobarry fanfics, because you know he’s one of those fanfic authors who’s extra like that.

“THAWNYE” sounds like some kind of diminutive if you say it like “Thawn-ya”. Great job keeping track of things, guys. Look at Barry pretending he doesn’t know who Eo is... or maybe it’s just the name thing. I’m not sure how humanity managed to drive horses to extinction, but I’m taking that as an indication that the 25th century is actually a horrid dystopia. I assume Eo does know what horses really look like, and just took some creative license, but it would be funny if he didn’t. I’m also concerned that they gave him a shop to work in, what with him being a mad scientist and all.

LOOK AT THAT OUTFIT. My boy is always out there, bringing the hottest new looks. Since his giant collar is the same color as his pants, and it’s The Future, I’m willing to bet that he wearing a--say it with me--mid-20th century retro-futuristic jumpsuit! And those pirate boots! And that consistently inconsistent hairline!

I kinda can’t help but wonder if Eo has some deep, hidden desire to become a sculptor. And is it the getting of the statues, or the having? Is it the thieving, or the collecting? And is shitty modern art the only art that exists in the future? Oh god, now I can’t get the image out of my head of Eo making a (life-size) reproduction of Blucifer, the 32ft tall patricidal horse statue, in his prison workshop. It just seems like an appropriate thematic progression to the robo-horses.

Side-sidebar: It amuses me that people in the 70s couldn’t imagine that we would move beyond the CRT screen. But I hope to god we don’t move on to the holographic/clear glass screens that Current Year people think we’ll have.

Ugh, the Guardians. If the worst Earth-cops ever did was steal the occasional bad statue, we’d be in a good place.

Also, uhhhh. Folks who are up on the Lantern lore--is time travel a standard feature of the rings, or is this one of those “it happened because we needed it to in this one issue” things?

Is it me, or does Central City--20th and 25th century--have a lot of movin’ around room? Lots of PLAZAS. Lots of pedestrian spaces. I like it in concept, kinda like how the Europeans do it, but in execution it has the feeling like you could start walking to those buildings on the horizon, and you would never get there.

I’m not going to lie to you. I included this page solely and entirely for the butts.

I don’t know about you, but. I’m aroused. Not gonna lie, before I’d read this, I’d already been contemplating what a Eo-Barry fusion would look like and. Well, this isn’t what I had in mind. And I kinda got stuck on the resulting costume being ENTIRELY ORANGE.

Eo’s FACE in the 3rd panel is priceless. Is this confirmation that Barry would lead in any hypothetical dances? I’m taking it as that. And they’re doing a great job, considering! Eo seems so excited in the last panel. I want to see these moves at regular speed. They must be... somethin’ else.

Oh, right: Heh heh... the beast with no backs. Pffffff--

I know it’s a mindless robo-horse, but this, uh. I kinda feel like I need to call some sort of humane organization about what I’m seeing here. And that pink cloud HAS to be an environmental hazard.

WHAT IF...? They weren’t able to separate, and just had to DEAL with it for like the next year or so? Don’t think about it too hard, though.

Eo’s FAAAACE in panel 5 is *chef’s kiss*.

An ASTONISHING HR nightmare! I have a love-hate relationship with how the older comics avoid explaining how these suits work. They always pop out like they’re one single piece--gloves and boots and all! Do ya gotta slide yourself in through the neck hole? Where is all this excess fabric on Eo’s suit coming from? It sure doesn’t look like Barry’s making any headway in removing it. He’s a 25th century Draupadi over here. And he’s just wearing regular ol’ clothes underneath a skintight suit, a thing that will continue to baffle me about Flash comics for decades to come.

You know this silly AU i made a while back? Well, decided to write down roles for characters and such in it. Still dunno if I’m gonna write it but-- Includes ships where applicable. Only if there’s some sort of pre-established relation/interest tho

Metis - MC #1 of the AU. Suffering from a mutated form of Crawford Ende’s disease. It’s killing her, but the cells that attack others are growing as an oddly slow rate. Experimental Treatment and Physical Therapy are helping extend her lifespan. Stuck in the hospital and doing online schooling.

Aigis - MC #2 of the AU. A college student who started growing out her hair when her twin had no choice but to cut most of it off. Very smart, but awkward in her speech and gestures (mostly to hide hints of a Kansai dialect). Visits Metis often, is dating Elizabeth.

Labrys - MC #3 of the AU. A nice girl, but very focused on college and her activities there. Doesn’t visit Metis often due to her looking like their dead mother and that causing too much stress on Labrys.

Shinjiro - Closest thing to an MC outside of the sisters. Volunteers at the hospital and often helps out the Physical Therapists due an accident in his past. Usually helps out with Metis and Minako when volunteering. Dating Theodore.

Akihiko - College student and friend of Aigis and Shinjiro. Sometimes visits the hospital with both of them and often gets into arguments with Metis when he does. Aspires to become a police officer. Dating Minato.

Mitsuru - Eldest daughter of her family and doing her best to run it due to her father passing away from a heart attack in her third year of high school. Often visits the hospital to speak to patients who she believes were affected by her family. Dating Fuuka.

Minato - Brother of Minako and Ryoji. Suffers from severe PTSD and minor psychical issues that stemmed from a car accident when he was only 7. Fairly removed from most people, but seems to get along with his family and Aigis well. Dating Akihiko.

Minako - Sister of Minato and Ryoji. Is undergoing physical therapy in order to be able to walk again and suffers from minor PTSD from the same accident as Minato. Very chipper despite her circumstances and seems to have a great interest in Metis.

Ryoji - Brother of Minato and Minako. He was the only one not involved in the crash and has taken it upon himself to take care of his siblings whenever he can. Often takes Minako to her physical therapy sessions and loves to chat with those there. Has a minor crush on Metis.

Fuuka - A friend of Aigis, Metis, and Labrys. She often visits Metis when Aigis can’t make it to see her. Likes to try and keep everyone feeling at least a little happy whenever she can. Going to college for a tech degree. Dating Mitsuru.

Yukari - A friend of Aigis, working as a model and actress to make it through college. Somewhat stubborn girl who seems to always want the best for others, but doesn’t really get along with Metis. She only visits her if Aigis asks.

Junpei - Baseball coach who decided against college. Considers Metis, Aigis, and Labrys to be his friends and often tries to get Metis to laugh, he has yet to succeed. Lost his first girlfriend his second year of high school and may have feelings for Yukari.

Elizabeth - A college student who takes too much joy out of her own naivety of the world. Was home schooled up until high school and is often seen with her brother or Aigis. Likes to pester Metis. Dating Aigis.

Theodore - A college student who doesn’t realize he’s just as naive about the world as his sister. Was home schooled for the same about of time as his sister, and often takes trips to the hospital out of curiosity. Dating Shinjiro.
