OHHH GOSH its like- okay well its midday here but I've just woken up and the only thing i can think of in clarity is ocs so

so i made caviar a wife. sjksjdksdj i'm gonna try speedrun finishing her ref in a little nit bc talking abt her is gonna make me SO motivated again but ANYWAY she's a lighthouse keeper in the creme republic

(because i fucking love lighthouses i love them. it's becoming increasingly obvious i want to be a lighthouse keeper, or some kind of marine biologist- i hear there are a lot of benefits. the sea cookies never really appealed to me but i love how the fandom took one look and said. yeah. one big family. so i'm adding another one to the mix.)

she's based off rock, which i reckoned was cute because it's a traditional sorta seaside sweet, plus it has the stripes and is very, yknow, strong.. i its fitting

and then i was like...,. oh yeah, this decor exists. but that's okay because the lower city has a harbour too, and i can imagine they're not disciples of the divines, so they have a normal lighthouse. plus that titchy goddamp lightbulb aint doing anyone favours.

since rock isn't a sweet pastry or salty, she's an immigrant to the republic. she's a lady, in that she welcomes visitors with coffee and cakes even though she hates company. i also made the bottom floor home of the lighthouse look look look

there're myths about her being a ghost, she's so elusive and basically nocturnal. she's friends with sea fairy, and gives offerings to black pearl to stop her from attacking the republic, even though she's seen her only once.

she's married to caviar in the way they had a six-ish month relationship and now they hardly talk. he's with her whenever he's on land, but. it's complicated but healthy, let's put it that way.

game wise she's a super epic (because she deserves to be hashtag special), her gacha quote is "it's getting dark... time to get to work." and her role is defence.

maybe a little bit generic of me, but i adore the dream land four!

magolor and bandee are tied for tippy top favourite, but this whole group just mean everything to me and i am extremely normal about them. after these guys it's probably a very close galacta knight and marx!

king dedede was actually my first ever played exposure to the franchise (through smash multiplayer at a party where i picked him due to Bird) and marx was my first 'character i recognised + played + was obsessed with outside the mains' in star allies so i still consider him my original Little Freak (affectionate)

modern au acoc pcs playing totk

amethar: plays the game sprinting from one combat to the next. hasn't been a big gamer even as a kid but once he got in the groove of the controls with botw he's been killing it. first to beat the final boss in the household and jokingly rubs it in everyone else's face while they yell at him for skipping the side quests.

jet: hyper-completionist. really good at the close combat, has basically memorized the timing for perfect flurry rushes for every enemy. Will continue to hog the switch until she has successfully completed all shrines, seen all memory cutscenes, and collected all 900 korok seeds

ruby: tbh idk if she even has her own save file, she might just borrow Jets every once in a while to fuck around. her fav thing to do in the game is make fucked up contraptions and drive them thru enemy camps or record herself getting crazy trick shots to put on her soc media

liam: very much into the exploring and cooking! Doesn't find the depths as creepy as the rest of the household and goes frighteningly long without putting down a light. passes the controller to jet or amethar for bosses bc he's not as good at the close combat and mainly just likes to play to compare game progress with his family

cumulous: not really his speed. got to the optional boss in the starting area and beat it with just 13 arrows and a couple sticks for weapons and went mmmm not for me 🫤 and went back to ripping people apart in mortal kombat and street fighter

saccharina: either didn't grow up with video game consoles and isn't as much of a gamer or literally is a streamer shes fifty fifty in my head. if she plays I think she likes the shrine puzzles and the building mechanics in particular, but really plays for the story

theo: used to play a lot of games when he was younger and made the mistake of backseat gaming a little too much while every one else had their turn. when he got to play and was just barely passable at the game he got clowned on so hard. overly relies on the meals and upgrading armor to survive combat, takes comfort in the fact that he is only the Second Worst gamer in the household.

lapin: woefully, painfully bad at the game. everyone else made him play as a joke but he's not even like the kind of bad that's fun to watch. doesn't move the movement stick all the way so link will just walk until one of the younger rocks literally shows him the exact position his hands need to be in and then will literally forget in a few minutes and act like something's wrong with the controller. picked up the concept of backseat gaming from when everyone was yelling at Theo and uses it much to argue much to everyones chagrin as they despairingly try to get him to replace his weapons after they break and he doesn't notice. doesn't get annoyed or actually care about the lack of progress or deaths, just has fun fucking around not ever leaving the starting area. no one makes him play a video game ever again.
