Realizing I've never drawn my idea for the full Rokkaku family..... Gouji's eldest is the successor seen silhouetted at the end of JSR; he and Kikai have a bit of a strained relationship because he's so much more responsible LOL

JET SET RADIO FUTURE
Hello everyone! I am a DJ PROFESSOR K, the embodiment of beauty and wisdom, and a heroic companion!! Do you feel that life is boring? Looking for something fun to do? Come on! Listen to my Tokyo underground radio station! ! Don't forget the name, yes! ! It's "JET SET RADIO"! ! YEEEEEEEE~~~~HAAAAAA! ! !
Let's start with an introduction to the current situation! Tokyo is now dominated by Gouji Rokkaku , whose "Rokkaku Group" is more powerful than the local government, and no matter what level it is, such as real estate, society, culture or entertainment, it is also controlled by them, and the people have no freedom of choice at all, day after day, month after month, they live according to the meaning of the Rokkaku, without a soul and without their own selves. Recently, Rokkaku succeeded in becoming the mayor, which completely fell to the hands of Rokkaku in Tokyo, even the law can be changed by him at will, of course, the police are not spared, and they have become Rokkaku's Corps and they are fighting against those who are against him, OH MY GOD!
However, where there is darkness, there is light, and a group of young people who are passionate about life are determined to vent their inner grievances with graffiti and to awaken the sleeping people with crazy actions. But there was one thing that surprised them, When it happened, it turned out that "Rokkaku Expo Stadium" was in full swing, and the surrounding vigilance was also strengthened a lot, which made the struggle between these young people and the Rokkaku Group heated up. Although the enemy is a group with great power, fortunately, many capable people have joined in the process of protest, which has ignited new hope for this group of young people. And this class of ideal Stormy Teenagers, they call themselves "GG"! !
Members of GG
CORN
The person who already existed when GG was founded is now GG's leader, very competitive, and often considers himself a genius.
GUM
She is another main member of GG, is responsible for the operation of the organization together with CONE (CORN), she is so calm that the men who have a crush on her automatically give up after ten minutes.
YOYO
The new member of the GG, the typical storm boy, is arrogant and often calls himself a cannon king.
BEAT
The mysterious boy who appeared on the streets of Tokyo, since his appearance, things have changed rapidly.
ROBOY
The robot that CONE(CORN) retrieves, everything else is unknown, only known to be as arrogant as CONE(CORN).
ROKKAKU GROUP
Rokkaku Police
The front-line personnel of the Rokkaku Group, everything that will hinder the people and things of the Rokkaku Group is also their goal.
HASHED (HAYASHI)
The police commander of the Rokkaku Police Force, Division 0 is a very troublesome policeman. If he is targeted by him, he will never have a good life.
Gouji Rokkaku
The chairman of the Rokkaku Group, who dominates Tokyo's economy and culture, is a very authoritarian careerist.

Various Actions Basics
Walk/Run
Left STICK is to control the character's movement. After inputting a few directions, the character will make a sprint start and then move forward at an even speed.
Jump
The A button is for jumping, The distance and height depend on the time of pressing the button, if you press it for a long time, you will jump higher, different characters will have more or less jumping power.
Turn
On the way to several directions, press the Y button to make the character turn his back foward and make a backward movement.
Dialogue
Some characters can have a dialogue with the player, as long as you approach the player, the dialogue icon will appear, and you can press the right button
Accelerate
Each time you use it, you need to consume 10 cans of spray paint, press the B button to use it, and you don't need to use it while jumping.
Camera Correction
During the game, the camera will turn with the character's movement, press the left button to correct it to look straight ahead.
TIC Tips
When fighting against the enemy or Rival, the left button can be used to lock the target. When the opponent is in front and the CURSOR is yellow, press the left button, and the CURSOR will turn red. At this time, press the B button to accelerate, and there is a chance to make a straight line to recover the gap, but it still needs 10 cans of spray paint.
TRICK
GRIND
Basically all handrails or fences can also do this action, just walk close to the above facilities, press the A button to jump, the character will automatically slide on the handrail or fence, and is not limited by the slope, even if it's vertical.
AIR
Using speed or an inclined platform, you can jump higher than normal, and the movements you make while flying are classified as AIR.
WALLRIDE
Specific walls (such as advertising boards) allow players to slide on them, and they are not limited by the slope, as long as the character touches the wall, and the speed is faster than that on the ground.
HANDPLANT
In some "U" shaped terrain, it is possible for the character to make this action, and when the character is about to reach the edge of the item, press the X button to make an upside down posture, which has the effect of accelerating.
COMBINATION
GRIND COMBINATION
On the railing-shaped terrain, it is possible to make GRIND movements, but in fact, combined actions can also be added to GRIND movements. And the method is simple, just press the X and Y buttons, and press continuously to make a series of actions to increase the score, as for what the use of the extra score is, I will introduce it to you later.
AIR COMBINATION
AIR COMBINATION is almost the same as GRIND, as long as you enter X and Y in the air state, the character will make fancy.
Spray Painting Tips
In the game map, there will be a rotating round plan (GRAFFITI POINT) on the wall, which represents a place that needs to be painted, the player has to make the character approach and then press the right button to spray the pattern. Each GRAFFITI POINT needs to consume a can of spray paint, but one thing to note is that pressing the right button anywhere will also consume a can of spray paint.
Continuous spraying
If there are more than one GRAFFITI POINT side by side on the wall, it means that the spray painting is of a larger size. Players can start from the first pattern and press the right button until the last one.
The type of spray painting
There are five sizes of spray painting in the game, namely SS, S, M, L, and XL.
NEW GAME
After selecting NEW GAME, you will start the main game mode for one person only and in order to spray GG's spray paint all over Tokyo, the player must travel through all the different areas and solve the obstacles in front of you. The game consists of two main parts, "STREET" and "GARAGE PARK", which will be introduced in detail below.
STREET
Based on Tokyo, each "STREET" can be regarded as a level, and certain conditions must be completed before moving on to the next one. As for the conditions, it is different each time, the player can ask other team members at Garage Park or listen to JSR'S DJ PROFESSOR K for information. But there is one thing common to all STREETs, that is, all spray painting must be completed. Another thing that we must mention is that each STREET will have certain hidden things that will not be provided with intelligence, how to find out, you have to look at your skills.
GARAGE PARK
The base camp of GG, all team members will also gather here, players can freely practice here, and listen to the ADVICE of teammates. In addition, if you talk to ROBOY, you can enter the GARAGE MENU screen, which has functions such as game setting change, SAVE, custom spraying, basic skill training, and character rotation in use. And every time you finish a street, you have to come back here once, so GARAGE PARK is definiteky an important place.
GG Handbook
In the GG Handbook, you can clearly understand the "STREET MISSION" of each version, so what is STREET MISSION?
In fact, these are the conditions for the appearance of the hidden "GRAFFITI SOUL" and every time you complete a STREET MISSION, a GRAFFITI SOUL will appear. GRAFFITI SOUL is an optional spray pattern that can be viewed and selected in the GARAGE MENU after obtaining it. However, in order to make STREET MISSION appear, you must first find and get the "MYSTERY TAPE" in this section, then the STREET MISSION can be found in the GG Handbook.

Game Screen Explanation

BATTLE screen
There is a slight difference between BATTLE and MAIN GAME game modes, so the screen representations are different.
1.TIME - An item that will appear in RACE MODE, which will give the player a better understanding of the current situation when racing with RIVAL.
2.CURSOR - Whether it is BATTLE with the enemy or a RIVAL, CURSOR will also appear. When you approach the opponent, CURSOR will appear on the opponent.Press the left button at this time, and the CURSOR will turn red, indicating that the person has locked the target.

My Jet Set Radio New Game Predictions
Here's what i think theyre going to do for the new jet set radio!
They are going to retell the plot of the first JSR and/or Future but with a new coat of paint
There are going to be purchasable DLC graffiti and music packs
the graffiti editor will be even more hostile to human life
Corn is going to die in the first ten minutes of the game
They are introducing a new member of the GGs named "Snorf", and his catchphrase is going to be "It's snorfin' time!"
Pots is finally going to have the fully humanoid body he's always wanted.
yoyo is not going to be in it, they are replacing him with Ecco the Dolphin (This has actually been Confirmed by SEGA!)
You play as a member of Poison Jam this time. you get to chill in da sewers and watch monster movies between levels ^.^
They are going to implement motion controls.
We'll finally get confirmation on which members of the GGs are and aren't furries!
@dailyoyo is going to be working on it :D everyone contgraltulate them for how many sega employees they had to slaughter to get here
Beat will lose both of his arms and get giant horrible frightening mechanical claws as replacements
there will be a sanity meter mechanic!
It will be "Fortnite 2".
There will be a chapter of the game where Beat's headphones go missing and you have to find them! During the entire chapter, there will be no music whatsoever to emphasize Beat's lack of headphones.
there is going to be a 2-hour segment that is just an artsy and inscrutable experimental depiction of yoyo goig into a dissociateive spiral
Hayashi and Onishima will both be in the game, and they're going to be making out sloppy style every time they're onscreen. They won't even function as enemies? They're just a setpiece?
There will be no rival gangs, the entire plot will entail the GGs turning on each other like rabid dogs for ill-defined and petty reasons.
to be innovative and try something different from teh rest of the series, the soundtrack is going to be bad.
Yoyo is going to perish and be consumed by a malevolent warehouse, which will merge with his consciousness.
Bis/Mew/Ryth will have a new name
There's gonna be robot doppelgangers of ALL the ggs! uh oh! theyre all going to die before they get any significant screentime though in order to punish me specifically
There is going to be a minigame where you play as an overworked ordinary Rokkaku Group employee desperately trying to balance the company budget as Gouji continues to pour more money into the Killing Teenagers fund.
Tumblr media
^ can someone buy this for me. i cant pay you back
New mechanic where you can escape enemies by killing them, but the character you used to do this will go into a crisis over having had to take a fellow human's life at such a young age and the traumatic effects will lower their stats. Pots is immune to this effect
yoyo will get euthanized
There will be a new area named "The Unforgiving Abyss". Grind down the spine of the thousand mile long leviathan who perished within!
Ice skating instead of rollerksating?
aiai from super monkey ball will be in there
You won't be able to play it without pirating it to be truer to the spirit of the game
The moral of the story will be that the real radio was the jet we set along the way.

Just for fun (and to make these easier to find) I have made a compilation of JSRF quotes!
I did find the quotes from this video by RisingSonic17 on YouTube. I do suggest watching it as it gives more context to the lines:
youtube
Keep in mind that some interactions may be missing, as I have never played JSRF and may be unaware of some interactions. Characters and their quotes appear in chronological order according to the video.
Corn:
"This is the GG's Garage. Hey, where's our pizza? Huh? You're not the pizza guy? Oh, you're here to join the GG's, eh? Heh... Tell you what. Find Gum. She's the one you wanna talk to. Just get close to her and pull the 'Right Trigger'. Got it?"
"Why don't you talk to her now?"
"Now, just 'cause you're new don't mean you can act like a big baby. The police are tightening up here, especially since the Rokkaku took over the police force. I know we look crazy 'n all, but even we know to pick our fights. So don't mess things up for the rest of us, got it?"
"Roboy's training changes as your skill level changes, so be on the lookout."
"I had a feeling Poison Jam would have their hideout in the sewers beneath Rokkaku-dai Heights. This is it... looks like the time to throw down has finally come."
"Man, those Poison Jam freaks are out of control. I say we start on Chuo Street and cover everything to Rokkaku-dai Heights and 99th Street in our graffiti. Chuo Street is probably the best place to start."
"Roboy told you, right? If you find a Mystery Tape, you gotta check the GG-notebook. It'll tell you where to find the Graffiti Souls in the area."
"Where the hell is Yoyo? Maybe he freaked out and skipped town? I'm sure he's alright. But we gotta take care of those Immortals. They've been walkin' around like they own the place. We gotta go and cover up all their graffiti."
"I'll send those Immortals back to the grave as many times as I need to!"
"We'll stop those Noise Tanks!"
Gum:
"Poison Jam knows something about Yoyo. I know they do."
"Damn! Punk, I'll get you for that!"
"The fortified residential zone... that's deep in the ghetto. And it could be the fake one again..."
"Here they come. The crazies from the Golden Rhinos. Concentrate, and watch your back. These guys ain't no joke."
"We gotta protect the streets. That's not a choice. We can't let these fools just waltz in and take over."
"The real enemy is your own fear. Remember that."
"So you're the cat that wants to join us, huh? I don't know where you're from, but the streets are tough. Real tough. Let's see what you're made of. We'll start you off nice and slow. Let's see how much air you can grab. Press the "A Button" to jump."
"Dogenzaka Hill is GG territory. I heard there's some headphone wearin' freak creepin' up here. If I could just find him, I'd show him what's up...."
"You can do it, can't you?"
"There are a couple of places in Shibuya Terminal where you can get on the roof of some buildings. You can get there by jumping from a Grind. You should check it out. Who knows what you'll find up there? When you're looking for something, the best place to start is the Map. You can see it by pressing the START button."
"The area of 99th Street is built around a tower that has a bunch of places to Grind. Definitely check that place out. There are also telephone poles to Grind and billboards to Wallride... the most important thing is to just try everything out. Oh, and don't forget to check the map by pressing the START button. That should give you some helpful hints"
"We actually found Roboy in a dumpster. Corn fixed him up real nice."
"I've been lost in the severs before. Its kinda crazy in there, but as long as you keep moving up, you'll be ok."
"Yoyo just can't chill and stay out, can he? He'll be back soon, I'm sure. I heard the Immortals hang out in the skyscraper district or something..."
"Actually, they say Roboy is actually a Noise Tank prototype. Don't tell him that though, ok? We don't wanna make him cry or nothin'. In any case, we're gonna get those damn Noise Tanks."
Yoyo:
"Those tracks should connect Sky Dinosaurian Square to the edge of the skyscraper district..."
"I hear that Poison Jam's woman leader has been showin' her face in town."
"Man, the Rhinos gotta be pissed off!"
"Shibuya Terminal is in a state of panic. I really wanna stay out of this, but we gotta go over there and take care of business."
"Don't use your eyes. Just try to feel it, ya know?"
"Graffiti has the power to wake up the energy that's asleep in the streets of Tokyo. The Rokkaku Group... the police... they don't know what's up. So let's just cover this whole place in art, yo."
"Yo, you know that dude Hayashi from the Rokkaku police force? That guy is one messed up dude. He's a complete psycho. Watch out for him."
"I heard through the grapevine that some weird-lookin' girl's been hangin' out at Rokkaku-dai Heights."
"So you think Poison Jam is after us?"
"We gotta get the Doganzaka Hill goddess statue that Poison Jam took. We better hurry, or things are gonna get real ugly."
Beat:
"Anything go down while I was gone?"
"I've always thought that thing in Shibuya Terminal was nasty lookin' anyway! Let's do a little redecoration."
"Sometimes, you just gotta get moving or else nothin's gonna get done, yo.
"Hey, I've heard of you. You're one of the GG's, huh? Tell you what... I'll race you. If I can beat you in a race around Doganzaka Hill, then this place belongs to me. Got it?"
"Hope you won't regret that."
"Shibuya Terminal? Now that you mention it, there was this huge guy wandering around there... And fishy graffiti? That sounds familiar, but I didn't really look close enough to see if the graffiti that the fool was paintin' actually looked like a fish or nothin'."
"Hey. Is it true Poison Jam used to cause trouble in Chuo Street under a different name?"
"Rapid 99 of 99th Street. They don't show their faces in public very often. Some say Rapid 99 and Poison Jam are sworn enemies because something big went down a while back. I don't know the details, though. A friend of mine told me that the girls in Rapid 99 are real lookers. I just think he was too scared of 'em to say otherwise. In any case, it ain't gonna be easy to find 'em."
"You meet Rapid 99 yet?"
"Noise Tanks? Never heard of 'em. But we gotta find Yoyo. I'll go through the sewers and check out Kiboganoka Hill."
"Those Immortals really get on my nerves..."
"Crazy stuff is going down all over town! Looks like it's time for a little clean up... GG's style!"
Combo:
"Time to get serious."
"This kid's kinda funny."
"This time we should be able to tell if it's the real one or the fake Yoyo just by talkin' to him, right?"
"That crazy guy?! What're you talkin' about? He looks nothing like me. Besides, we don't got time to deal with that fool. Remember? The Golden Rhinos??"
"Well, they told us to come. Don't look like we got any choice."
"There are some things that you can only feel when you're out in the streets, you know?"
"What's this?! Who's been sprayin' these ugly tags on my turf?! Hmph. I'm guessin' it was you... Its on! If you loose, you're gonna be answerin' to me from now on, punk!"
"You think you can do this too? Let's see it!"
"Man, you're not all that. Here, I'll show you one more time."
"The deep end of the sewers is closed off because it's contaminated. At least, that's what I heard..."
"Hey, why you gotta go out and get a dog?! There's only one thing I hate more than dogs, and that's goldfish."
"I heard Rapid 99 used to run under a leader named Cube..."
"Thing that ticks me off most is, the Immortals ain't worth all this talk and trouble. I wonder if they got somethin' to do with Yoyo's disappearance?"
"There's a bunch of real big guys with real big attitudes causin' a big scene over on Highway Zero. Maybe they might know something about the Noise Tanks. Man, where the hell is Yoyo?!"
Rynth:
"What is UP with Yoyo, anyway?!"
"Hey, Graffiti Souls are a big commodity, right?"
"I don't care if it's a golden rhino or a blue hippo, I'll send 'em right back to the zoo where they belong."
"What's their master plan? I mean, the Golden Rhinos don't seem like their just out here to run the streets, you know what I'm sayin'?" (This quote was spelled like this in game. From my knowledge it should be "they're just out here...")
"Here comes Gouji. Let's end this."
"Did you get all the Graffiti Souls? We still got a full laundry list of things to take care of, you know."
"Hehehe... So this is your hideout."
"Poison Jam are... kinda cute!"
"Is it just me, or does Captain Hayashi not look like he eats his breakfast?"
Poison Jam:
"I don't think Yoyo's that kind of a person."
"I think hes hiding something."
"This feels like a trap. Be careful."
"Someone's after DJ-K?! You sure about that?!"
"Gouji Rokkaku is kinda interesting. But, I think he went a little too far this time..."
"I love everything about Tokyo... even the things I hate."
"Hur hur hur. You want to get rid of us, don't you? Nothing in life is free. You gotta work for it. Beat us in this race and we won't mess with you anymore."
"Har har har!! I told ya'll you were a bunch of wussies!"
Rapid 99:
"ghahah! Next thing you know, you will be all crying like a baby."
"If you can win a flag battle against us, I'll tell you where Poison Jam' s hideout is."
"Suit yourself."
Garam:
"I won't hold back."
"Hey. Keep it real."
"There's this lightning-quick girl over at Kiboganoka Hill. Dunno if she's still there. But man, I gotta say, I'm really trippin' out over Yoyo missin' and all."
"When it comes down to it, the Immortals are just dried up mummies, man. I bet they all nasty under those bandages."
Boogie:
"The Noise Tanks might look strong, but they're like cheap action figures! Just run into them and they fall apart! Oh yeah, that girl from the stadium... I heard she's been lookin' for us. You seen her yet?"
"Aww man..."
"The fortified residential zone... it's directly attached to the underground sewers. Man. I don't like that place at all."
"Is that dude in black even human? My heart's pounding... I don't know why."
"You're never as good as you can be! Don't slack off!"
"Y'all are crazy!"
Jazz:
"This doesn't look good."
"Alright. Stay cool."
"Yeah.... we were a little too laid back this time, I think."
"The fortified residential zone... hey, why don't we pick numbers to decide who goes?"
"It's about time the Rhinos brought things up a notch. We better be ready to get real serious too."
"What the hell IS that big thing, anyway? But, you better watch out for that fool in black..."
"If you get a "Jet" in the Trials, you can even use people who aren't here to take out into the streets."
"You're one of the GG's, right? Then tell this fool that they got the wrong girl! They think I'm one of you guys! So, they dragged me out here and looked what's happened to me!!"
"Hurry up! Tell him that I'm not a GG!!"
Noise Tanks:
"Hey, you're that GG that helped me out! Thanks for that man. Say... there's something that I've been wondering since then. You wanna find out who's the fastest? I KNOW I can beat you. Let's give it a shot!"
"Alright. Fine. See ya."
"I'll get 'em good no matter what!"
"The more worked up we get about this, the harder it'll be to find what we're lookin' for."
"There's somethin' not right about the way the Golden Rhino's are actin'."
"Why are those Golden Rhinos going after the Radio station? Well, make sure to be on the lookout for Captain Psychopath."
"We gotta save DJ-K! I can't stand listening to this music anymore!"
"If this town could talk, what poetry it would speak..."
"Ready?"
"Practice all you want, it will not make a difference."
"It is not over yet. Prepare yourselves."
"Heh... Go on. Fight!"
"Are you ready?"
Special interactions:
"Sometimes it just doesn't matter how much you practice."
Slate:
"Dude. I'm bored. Entertain me."
"Hmph. What a bore."
"My sources tell me that the Noise Tanks and the Rokkaku Group are in this together. Be careful."
"So is that Clutch guy in with Rokkaku too? Or is he just a little punk?"
"I'm about ready."
"The Golden Rhinos are really startin' to get on my nerves..."
"I got better things to do than play house with Gouji Rokkaku, but man, that big ugly thing has GOT to go."
"Graffiti Souls' sole purpose is to be sought out."
Clutch:
"You're looking for that kid, Yoyo, right? Tell ya what, if you go out and get some Graffiti Soul points... Hey! Wait a sec, you've already got quite a few. Lemme see those... Sucka! Thanks for the Graffiti Souls! See ya around!"
"Hah, hah! I look forward to it!"
"I dunno, but I just don't get what's going on here. Heh..."
"This Gouji Rokkaku dude is pretty funny!"
"Haaaahaha! Tokyo ain't half bad!"
Cube:
"If you can beat me at my own game, I'll leave you alone."
"Suit yourself."
"The fortified residential zone... Unless you're absolutely sure of your skills, you should stay away from that place."
"I've dealt with the Golden Rhinos once before. If you don't take them seriously, you're as good as dead."
"I can't stand even looking at that thing. Its just so... so... damn ugly!"
"Yeah. You just have to try everything with an open mind."
Beat to Corn:
"So you're the leader of the GG's? Heh... How's this sound? If I beat you in a race around Doganzaka Hill, you and your buddies have to answer to me from now on. If you beat me... well, we'll just see when it happens."
"Huuuh? You're so boooring..."
Talking to Beat in the garage before fighting the police:
"Anyway, I'm ready to rock. But what's up with that pooch, eh? Where did ya pick him up? You sure that's not the leader in disguise? Heh heh. Its only a matter of time before I become the leader of the GG's anyway."
Combo to Gum:
"What's this?! Who's been sprayin' these ugly tags on my turf?! Hmph. Was it you, princess? You've been a bad, bad girl. You've better hit me with everything you've got, 'cause I ain't gonna hold back just because you're a girl!!"
"The cue tone get you all jumpy?"
"You liked that, eh? I'll do it again for you."
Yoyo to Rynth:
"You're... like... you know... yo."
"Where'd you come from?"
Gum to Rynth:
Rynth to Beat:
"Cool. Welcome aboard."
"You kinda... smell weird."
Garam to Boogie:
"Hey. I'm next in command around here, little lady. The name's Garam,"
Combo to Boogie:
"This group is growing bigger every day. Fool just dig me, I guess."
Gum to Boogie:
"So you're the one from Kiboganoka Hill, huh? Well, this is the GG's. What you see is what you get. Just be yourself, you'll be cool."
Garam to Jazz:
"Well, um... I... uh... be cool."
"That freak who's been making all those weird tags... you think he's connected with the Golden Rhinos somehow?"
Boogie to Garam:
"Alright. Stay cool."
Jazz to Garam:
"I feel ya, but I think you should try to chill a bit. Keep it together."
Corn to Clutch:
"What a fool. But the fortified residential zone... that's deep in the ghetto. And it could be the fake one again..."
Jazz to Clutch:
"Don't push your luck."
Beat to Clutch:
"You just wanted some attention from us, right? Aww..."
Combo to Clutch:
"Man, you're such a jerk I almost like you."
Garam to Clutch:
"One of these days, I'll get you one-on-one! Just you and me, fool!"
Boogie to Clutch:
"Fine. I'll let you off just this once."
Slate to Clutch:
"Heh... Stay outta trouble."
Corn to Yoyo:
"Long time no see, bro."
Clutch to Yoyo:
"So you're that Yoyo guy, huh? Heh..."
Jazz to Yoyo:
"So, you're the real deal, huh? 'Sup. I'm Jazz."
Combo to Yoyo:
"You gonna go and try to get back into shape, huh?'
Garam to Yoyo:
"Heh... I caused enough havoc for the both of us while you were gone, bro."
Rynth to Yoyo:
"The most unbelievable stuff was happening while you were gone! Hehehe..."
Yoyo to Slate:
"Hey, sorry about all that, yo. My bad. But thanks to those fools, I'm all out of shape now. Maybe I'll go out and cause a little havoc to warm up, yo."
Yoyo to Jazz:
"Man, things have sure gotten busier sice I was last here?"
Gum to Beat:
"That fool dressed in black who's been hanging around Chuo Street... now that I think about it, you guys kinda look alike."
Clutch to Beat:
"In times like this, you won't fall as long as you look where you're going. Heh heh."
Garam to Beat:
"Hey, you know that guy everyone's been saying looks like you? Well, is it you?"
There is some cutscene dialogue missing from these lines. If I can find all the cutscenes, then I'll be sure to add them.

Love your Jet set art ! Quick question: Do you have a backstory for Zero Beat?
IM SO GLAD YOU ASKED because what I have for Zero Beat is. a lot. we’re going to have to go into my JSR/JSRF Multiverse Theory. I’ve wanted to make comics about it, but, well. its kind of a lot thats hard to convey in comic format... so this is going to be pretty text heavy. and long There’s obviously going to be spoilers, so read ahead with caution.
-------- To start, I don’t think Zero Beat is a robot. He wears a skin to appear like he might be, but not only is his body built in way thats way more advanced than any other robotics we’ve seen in game. The ring that protrudes from his chest looks almost bone-like... Not to mention, his voice has no distortion whatsoever. Both the Noise Tanks and NT-3000, in game, have some static quality to their voices, whereas Zero Beat does not.
So, what is he?
I propose that Zero Beat is a demon. At the end of the first game, Gouji Rokkaku plays the Devil’s Contract vinyl, and is thrown off the building by the GG’s. The day is saved, DJ Professor K says that nothing happened after the record was played, so it must have all been a rumor! ... or so we are led to believe I think the record did work. With the awakening of the demon, Zero, Gouji asked the demon to make him into a god, but there wasn’t much he could do to grant this wish, given his current position. So, he ripped Gouji out of his current timeline (JSR) and placed him into a new timeline (JSRF), giving him more time to build his empire. Notice how literally everyone in JSRF has been redesigned....... except for Rokakku?
Tumblr media
of course theres little things, like the addition of the bolo tie and his glasses, but considering how different everyone else looks between the games, I feel like this is too coincidental.
In this new timeline, the Rokakku family now holds more control over Tokyo-To than it ever has before. Kogane-Cho from JSR, the residential, orange color scheme city with the sewers is now named Rokkaku-Dai Heights in JSRF, including a statue of someone who looks just like Gouji right in the middle of it. With his knowledge from the original timeline, Gouji has the power to prevent the GG’s from initially forming with Beat, and also takes the Noise Tanks out of the original gangs to give them the funding to make them into real androids, and make them his allies (which is where my involvement with Kikai comes in,) Gouji is so far removed from his humanity, his family, that he allows his own son to be horribly disfigured to further his agenda, while calling Zero Beat his child, because he’s a God now... he’s Above all these humans.
So, where does Zero Beat come in in all of this?
Well, technically he’s been here this whole time, watching, and supporting Gouji where he needs to. In the end, he knows he’ll walk away, having swallowed up this entire city. Despite Yo-Yo technically being the starting character, or “main character” in JSRF, because Gouji and Zero are from the original timeline where Beat is the “main character”, which is why they target him specifically. Zero takes on the form he does as a sort of temptation for Beat.
Tumblr media
He looks almost eerily like the Graffiti Souls... which is not a coincidence, I think. Collecting Graffiti Souls unlocks more artwork, which is like... Expanding a person’s style, Graffiti Souls ARE the soul of the streets. Being a Rudie, living on the street, these are all things that are incredibly important to Beat. This is the life he chose, as a runaway. Zero sees that strong spirit, he’s fascinated by this boy’s spunk, he wants to suck him in and sink his teeth in. For lack of a better term, he wants to convert him, and like the Devil he does so with temptation. His form is Beat’s transfigured form, which is why he takes his name.
Zero Beat is a demon intend on consuming as many souls as he can get his hands on. The form he takes at the end of the game is simply laying the path for his next target.

ok so like i manifest theese thoughts in the form of like dj k x gouji yaoi jokes but for real gouji WANTS what dj k has so bad he practically wants to BE him i think.
though really that's just an extension i think of Wanting rudie culture all to himself. like he is not a part of it he CANNOT be a part of it because he is the enemy it is fighting against but he wants it and he does not just want to be included he wants The Whole Thing. (worlds most realistically written rich guy tbh) and like. some random pirate radio station should not be his business. but dj k is lionized among rudies he is a figurehead of this subculture and gouji WANTS that. he wants to be the dj everybody thinks is so cool. none of the other rokkaku group guys are like street themed this is JUST a him thing but he has them dedicating all their time to dealing with graffiti gangs and like putting up their own graffiti and shit.
He fucking steals the physical jet set radio station in future? You want to fuck be dj professor k so bad it makes you look stupid man

Man oh man
p5 thoughts thus far under the cut because I’m in the meat of the game forreal now
HOW THEY GOT AKECHI IS SO COOL
holy shit he is forever cemented in my head as Pancake-kun he sold himself out for ‘delicious pancakes’ congratulations you played yourself
Real talk tho--they didn’t have to explain it like three times I mean it was certainly a complicated plan but I could have done without that 20 minute exposition and I get they told the overall story like this for impact and like, a backwards outline (its an actual storytelling process I forget the name)
but it really takes the bite out of the ‘gotcha’ moment when you already know what happened from the opening scenes and you’re just waiting on the ‘how they did it’ I know this isn’t everyone’s opinion, just my own, but the story up until this point lost all sorts of meaning because I know what its leading up to. Like, the game spoiled most of his climax
I’m 100+ hours in the game and I’m just know knowing what the eff happened in the beginning? Mmmmm... I suppose I can just say I’m not a fan of this type of storytelling. I do like everything in between but its yet to feel like a full cohesive story at this point, even so close to the end.
On to other topics tho, thanks Akechi for givin me all your shit so I can sell it before you left Twerk Squad thanks Pancake-kun 8D you’re still a jerkwad for doing what you did tho
Shido aka Rokkaku Gouji’s younger self aka Pitbull is the sleaziest of the sleaze and I can’t wait to take his ass down but man does your palace involve a lot of backtracking UGH
the mouse mechanic isn’t too troublesome, thank goodness (even tho my dumbass self stood still too long looking for a vent and a Shadow ‘bumped’ up behind me and I felt the controller vibrate and Akira ran just like a little mouse whhoooops) and now that I think about it, would Morgana turn into a mouse, too?? (gotta test that out)
I’m glad that Sae ain’t goin aggro anymore and is on our side, and good on them for finally tellin Sojiro everything. But now with the current situation and junk, I wanna try and max out at least Iwai’s S.Link and level up enough so I can fuse Yoshitsune without breakin the hell outta my wallet so he can be ready for me for NG+ I already got my other bros Nebiros and Trumpeter and I found a new friend in Dionysus, too my Persona game on point, haha
Also, I really like fishing. Not as much as I liked it in P4G, but its def enjoyable. I wanted a larger challenge out of it tho, cause I got the big bag guardian in two attempts and it wasn’t even that big =/ Totally understandable tho since this is in a controlled, sporting environment versus the river and the beach in P4 (seriously that sea guardian was a fuckin boss fight to get and it was SO HUGE! and the cat you could feed would EAT IT ALL best cat <3 <3 <3.)
Also, Ryuji that phone call before we went into Shido’s palace was super gay bro you can confess to me anytime I’m here for ya <3

Jet Set Radio, low-res pixel style!
As I said in my review, Jet Set Radio has a lot of style but suffers as a game, especially for me who grew up on the sequel. Still, I love the cast so here they are all blocky-like. DJ Professor K is uniquely playable in the GBA version.
Beat, Gum, Tab/Corn, Pots, Garam, Mew/Bis, Yo-yo, Piranha, Slate/Soda, Combo, Cube, DJ Professor K, Love Shockers, Posion Jam, Noise Tanks, Gouji Rokkaku
