pleasseee i'm begging you to share some roku or roku x sozin headcanons 🙏

okay so many apologies I STARTED this but my computer hated me, froze, and I lost everything ,T-T, many apologies again. Solely Roku headcanons first, Rozin second (some canon-compliant, some not)

Roku gets arthritis in his hands and wrists when he gets older, and he gets this really nice lotion that smells like wisteria that he uses to massage his knuckles and fingers to reduce the pain

Roku learned how to use Airbending to lighten his footsteps, lessening their sound, in order to sneak around the house at night and not wake up Ta Min and their child(ren)

Roku gained a fanclub due to his gentle demeanour (and his pretty pretty face), and he was a bit creeped out sorta accepting about it in the beginning... but then he met one of the members. After that, he avoided them like the plague; he even sometimes jumped over houses and walls and into rivers to get away

Roku tried to learn how to heal, but he could never really get the hang of it

Roku actually really, really likes Water Tribe cuisine! It's canon that he stayed in the Northern Water Tribe for multiple years before he was able to start learning Waterbending, and I like to think that he gained a taste for the food about a year into his stay. Sometimes he goes to Water Tribe restaurants wherever he can find them, and he can immediately tell when it's authentic or not from the taste. It became a kind of honour (HONOURRR) if Avatar Roku were to come into your Water Tribe restaurant and like your food

Roku was scary good at composing poems. He learned how to do them when in school (with Sozin bcs they learned in the same class (they were the only two in the class bcs Royal Privilege and that's what Sozin asked for)), and it eventually matured into a hobby. Roku would express affection by composing poems and reciting them; he composed a few for Ta Min and proposed through one, and he wrote a few at the birth of his child(ren). He might have composed one for Sozin, but he'll never tell...

Rozin starts here!

Sozin is so possessive that it's not even funny. Like the MOMENT he knew Roku was back in the Fire Nation he had a spy or two on him. You just know that he was spitting fire and blood when he learned that Roku and Ta Min were going to get married. (Also like he kinda lowkey steals some things of Roku's to put in his chambers to pretend that Roku's living with him… pathetic yearning)

Roku had a teeny little crush on Sozin when they were pre-teens. It was awkward, and Roku eventually grew out of it by convincing himself "It wouldn't work anyway, he's going to be the Fire Lord and I'm just some kid"

Sozin didn't know that he was down bad for Roku until about a year after Roku left. He was just sitting in a garden somewhere, lying in the sun, and was just like "I wish I had Roku here so I could have his head in my lap and play with his hair..." and then he was just like "WHAT"

Sozin tried to send letters to Roku while he was away, but because of his dad they never were sent. They were supposed to be burned, but someone stored them away instead. Somewhere, within the depths of the Fire Nation Royal Palace, there's a box full of decades-old letters, just waiting to be read or burned... and those letters might just contain a confession...

Sozin is soooooo touch starved—every chance he can get, he's draped over Roku in some way, and they snuggle every night they can. They're the kind of couple you can find lounging on a couch with literal feet of couch available, but Sozin's either pressed up against Roku's side or is sitting on his lap

When Rozin fight, they split up to cool off and then spar about it. They continue the fight whilst they actually fight, and they end up making outup when they end the fight&spar. Sometimes it's bending only, but when they're really angry it's just throwing punches & kicks. The inherent homoeroticism of beating each other up-

0.1 : The Southern Air Temple

Pairing(s): Aang x Toph, Katara x Zuko, Sokka x OC! Kodi

Summary: For every Avatar born, they are paired with a guide or a soul-tie, someone who can teach them how to keep peace between the mortal and spiritual realm. For some, their guide can be a lover while others are strictly friends. After the era of Avatar Roku, the 100 year war has begun and the new Avatar and his guide are nowhere to be found. Some even believed that they had fallen with the rest of the Air Nomads. Until a hundred years later...

"...The Air Temple Sanctuary," a voice speaks. "There's someone I'm ready to meet."

Their footsteps echo down the hall before coming to a stop in front of the massive wooden door. "But, Aang," a soft voice follows, "no one could have survived in there for a hundred years."

"It can't be impossible," the boy shrugs, "I survived in that iceberg for that long." The girl replies with a quick, "good point."

The boy then states, nearly shouting in excitement, "Katara, whoever's in there, might be able to help me figure out this whole Avatar thing!"

"And whoever's in there might have a medley of delicious cured meats!" Another voice shouts. It went silent for a moment before a soft dung on the door rings.

"I don't suppose you have a key?" The third person asks. Aang smiles, "the key, Sokka, is airbending."

The door howls, creaking open. The light of the sun that peaked in through the tiny windows broaden once the door opens. The three figures step inside the mysterious room.

"Hello?" Aang calls out, "anyone home?" The teens continue to walk forward before coming to a stop at the sight of the stone carved statues.

The statues were purposefully placed in a spiral, leading to the circular ceiling. The statues further up seemed as if they were looking down on the children.

"Statues?" Sokka blurts, "that's it? Where's the meat?" He raises his arms in exasperation.

Katara rolls her eyes, gazing at the statues in curiosity. "Who are these people?" She looks over at Aang. The boy shrugs, "I'm not sure but it feels like I know them somehow."

He travels further into the spiral, pointing at one of the statues, "hey, look! That one's an airbender!" Katara follows, pointing out another statue, "and this one's a waterbender."

"They're lined up in a pattern," she notes. "Air, water, earth, and fire. It's the Avatar cycle!" She looks over at Aang, "all these people are your past lives."

The airbender smiles at first before frowning in confusion, "if that's so, then who are these other people?" He asks.

Katara hums, "I'm not too sure. They seem to be built in pairs, but they don't seem to follow the cycle." Sokka raises an eyebrow, "past lives?"

He returns to their side, "Katara, you really believe in that stuff?" She nods, "it's true. When an Avatar dies, they are reincarnated into the next nation in the cycle."

Aang stutters at the sight of Roku before completely stopping at the sight of a young airbender, no older than him but she stood alone. His eyebrows scrunch in confusion before his face falls blank.

As if hypnotized, his eyes were focused on the statue of the young girl. "Aang?" Katara calls. "Aang, are you alright?" She gently shakes him from his stump.

He turns to look at the siblings, "huh?" Katara raises an eyebrow, "who is that?" He answers, "that's Avatar Roku and his Guide, Ta Min. He was the Avatar before me."

"And the girl who looks like you?" Katara asks again. Aang's smile falls, "I don't know, but she feels so familiar and... and alive. I wonder what happened to her Avatar."

Sokka's eyes widen, "you were a firebender? No wonder I didn't trust you when we first met." Ignoring her brother, Katara studies Roku and Ta Min's statues.

"There's no writing," she shakes her head. "How do you know their names?" Aang shrugs, "I'm not sure. I just... know it somehow."

Sokka frowns, crossing his arms, "you just keep getting weirder and weirder." The sound of wind whooshing into the room makes the group spin in fright, their bodies tensing with alarm.

Within the doorway, a shadow appears and moves towards them. The three rush to hide behind two statues. Katara and Aang on one side while Sokka resides behind another on his own. There were two tall, sharp spikes sitting on the shadow's head.

"Firebenders," Sokka whispers. "No one make a sound." Katara glares at him, "you're making a sound." The boys shush her, quickly.

Sokka slowly stands up, raising his club over his head. He jumps from behind the statue, ready to attack, but as soon as he did, his offense falters and instead, he hunches in confusion.

The two younger kids lean over to see what could've caused such a change. Now standing in the light, a lemur chittered mindlessly with a shocked look on his furry face. A huge smile stretches across Aang's face in familiarity, "lemur!"

"Dinner," Sokka drools, eyes dilating with greed. Aang steps into the creature's view, "don't listen to him, little guy."

The boy slowly walks closer but before he could reach the animal, Sokka lurches forward and chases after it. The lemur screeches and scurries off, flying to find safety. "Wait, come back!" Aang shouts, using his bending to keep up.

Disappointed, but not surprise, Katara simply shakes her head and continues to study the statues. "Hm, if every Avatar has a Guide," she trails, placing her eyes on the lonesome statue, "why are you all alone?"

Before she could ramble off to herself, every pair of eyes from the ceiling to the statue of Roku seem to come to life with a pure white glow. The mysterious statue in front of her does the same, but instead a green glow takes over her eyes and arrow.

The Guide statues follow the girl's action. The room begins to shake, trembling under the force of the otherworldly powers that involuntarily attack the mountain side.

"Aang," Katara gasps but before she could run off, the statue before her falls apart. The stone cracks and shifts as spurts of green lights shine through even brighter.

Unexpectantly, instead of the statue following to dust, an actual human form is revealed underneath the stone. Just as her figurine implied, the person was a young girl dressed in yellow and orange robes similar to Aang's.

Her skin was darker than Katara's, painted with the traditional arrow tattoos that glowed hauntingly. Her black hair was curly and long, the thick tresses were tied up and braided in a ponytail with a soft undercut as an array of stray curls dangle across her forehead.

As the stone cast crumbled, her eyes snap open as harsh, dense currents of air begins to circulate through the room. Her small, muscular form slowly rises above Katara, who watches in fear.

"What in the spirits?" She whispers.

Covering her eyes from the debris, she calls out to the figure. "Please, listen to me!" She shouts over the winds, "my friends and I mean no harm to you. I understand that you must've witnessed nothing but anguish and pain. Your home and family has been taken from you, but the Avatar has returned!"

She notices that girl's eyebrow slightly raises, so she continues. "His name is Aang and he's an airbender, just like you! Together you two can restore peace and even find a new family, somewhere you can call home. My brother, Sokka, and I can be that for you. Just please, come down!"

Hesitantly, the teenager descends to her feet as the winds calm down. Once all pads of her feet settle against the ground, the air settles and the ethreal glow begins to dim. Reaching full consciousness, the teen's blank gaze stares at Katara.

She falls into a bow, "I apologize if I have frightened you, outsider. My name is Kodi, and you are?" Katara smiles, returning the gesture, "I'm Katara. If you don't mind, could you help me calm down my friend?"

"Of course," she nods, "show me where he resides." The two run out of the sanctuary. At first, she was confident in where she resided but once her eyes feel onto the landscape, she realized that she never returned back to the Eastern Temple.

Her eyebrows scrunch in confusion as her mind wonders, hopefully RooRoo is safe. There's no way we could've reached the south within a day, so who led me here?

Reaching a familiar center, her eyes widen at the sight of the prayer hall trembling under the force of intense winds. Another Airbender? There's others who survived the attack?

Reaching inside, the teen expected to be met with a number of airbenders holding off an invader or some firebenders. However, her jaw drops at the sight of the armored corpses of Fire Nation soldiers. Her eyes trail the line of bodies only for them to land on the boy with similar tattoos.

His small body floated amongst the air, his eyes and tattoos glowing white as tears streak down his ample cheeks. Beneath him was another corpse, but it was the only one dressed in a yellow robe with a notable traditional medallion.

"Aang?" She whispers. Katara looks over, "you know him?" Rather than answering, Kodi easily redirects the wind currents. Stepping into the center of the storm, she begins to scream for the boy's attention.

"Aang! It's me, Kodi!" She shouts. "I know you're upset, you have a right to. We have a right to be upset. The airbenders, our nation, is gone. It hurts now, but it'll get better soon. You're not alone, kid. You still have me and now we have new friends."

Her words, much like Katara's, were able to calm him down as the wind dies down. He slowly lands on his feet, his small body falling with exhaustion and grief. Kodi, Katara, and a confused Sokka move in closer.

Taking the boy into her arms, she tightens her grip. "We aren't going to let anything happen to you," the Water Tribe boy states.

His deep blue eyes fall onto Kodi with slight recognition. Feeling his gaze, she looks up causing their eyes to meet. His own widens, chaotically bouncing around for something else to look at as a plum colored blush dusts across his cheeks.

Aang's droopy eyes shift up, a soft light flickers at the sight of the older nomad. "Kodi? You're alive," he hums with a soft smile. In a matter of seconds, it falls as he recollects what just happened.

"I'm sorry," he nearly croaks. Kodi shakes her head, "it's okay. It wasn't your fault, kiddo." He simply shakes his head, "Katara was right. If the Fire Nation found this temple then that means--"

Kodi nods, "they found the others, too. We're the last Airbenders, Aang." His eyes begin to water, so he nuzzles his face within her chest to muffle his cries. Holding back her own, she pulls him in tighter with soft coos of reassurance.

I have the end of term tests and a book report I haven't even started next week so I should be studying for my coding quiz.

Instead, I'm dissecting the love that Korra and Asami share while reading The Rise Of Kyoshi which lead to this.

And before someone asks, no I unfortunately cannot do my book report on The Rise Of Kyoshi.

Wywoływanie filmów czarno-białych cz 6 - wywoływacze

Rodzaj i właściwości wywoływacza mają bardzo duże znaczenie dla ostatecznego wyglądu negatywu. Obecnie na rynku mamy bardzo duży wybór wywoływaczy. Co wybrać by uzyskać pożądane przez nas efekty? Wywoływacze możemy podzielić na dwie grupy. Pierwsza grupa to taka, która „rozpuszcza srebro” w czasie wywoływania, a druga to ta która go nie rozpuszcza bądź robi to w minimalnym stopniu. Pierwsze dają mniejsze, a drugie większe ziarno i kontrast. Pamiętać należy, że zarówno kontrast jak i wielkość ziarna zależą również od rodzaju emulsji, temperatury, sposobu mieszania oraz od stężenia roztworu roboczego, dlatego ilość możliwych do uzyskania efektów jest bardzo duża. Używając danego wywoływacza, zawsze warto korzystać z najświeższych materiałów udostępnianych przez producenta filmu lub wywoływacza, gdyż skład emulsji lub wywoływacza, a więc i czasy wywoływania mogą się w jakimś stopniu różnić. I tak na przykład czas wywoływania dla Ilforda fp4 w Ilfosol S w nowych danych to dla ISO 50 7.30 min, a w starych taki sam czas dla ISO 125.

Pierwsza grupa, czyli wywoływacze rozpuszczające ziarno, to wywoływacze, które dają negatywy drobnoziarniste, które zazwyczaj w jakimś stopniu obniżają czułość materiału. Dlatego filmy które mamy wywoływać w wywoływaczach z tej grupy, szczególnie w Kodaku D23 i pochodnych, można trochę prześwietlić. W czasie działania tych roztworów rozpuszczone srebro osadza się w emulsji zwiększając efekt drobnoziarnistości. Pamiętać należy też, że znaczne rozcieńczenie koncentratu skutkować może wzrostem ziarnistości negatywu, ponieważ stężenie substancji odpowiedzialnych za rozpuszczanie srebra spada. Z drugiej strony wraz z rozcieńczeniem rośnie również czas wywoływania, więc odczynniki te mają więcej czasu na działanie. Dlatego najlepszą zadowalającą nas metodę wywoływania i rozcieńczenia należy po prostu wypraktykować. Wywołaczami tego typu są między innymi: Kodak D76, D23, D25, ilfosol S czy Kodak X-tol.

W przypadku drugiej grupy efekt ten nie zachodzi, aż w takim stopniu lub wcale, więc materiały obrabiane w takich wywoływaczach dają znacznie większe ziarno, niż te wywoływane w wywoływaczach wspomnianych powyżej. Mimo to wywoływacze z tej grupy mają swoje plusy, do których zaliczyć można to, że zazwyczaj dużo lepiej wyzyskują światłoczułość negatywu, dają też wyższy kontrast, co bywa przydatne przy bardzo niekontrastowych filmach. Wywoływacze te zazwyczaj są dość energiczne, w związku z tym nadają się do wywoływania forsownego lub akutancyjnego (niektóre wywoływacze z pierwszej grupy również umożliwiają takie wywoływanie). Do grupy drugiej zaliczyć można między innymi: Rodinal i jego odmiany, HC110 czy Kodak D19.

Kodak D76

Jest to wywoływacz opracowany w 1926 roku. Był odpowiedzią na rosnące zapotrzebowanie na wywoływacz drobnoziarnisty, który umożliwiłby wywoływanie z akceptowalną jakością zdjęcia wykonane w aparatach o mniejszych formatach. D76 delikatnie obniża światłoczułość filmu i daje negatywy o gradacji normalnej. Przy jego pomocy możemy kontrolować kontrast poprzez rozcieńczanie roztworu. W stężeniu 1+0 (stock) jest dość kontrastowy, ale już w 1+3 działa łagodniej i wyrównawczo. Receptura D76 jest powszechnie znana, w związku z czym wywoływacz ten produkowany jest przez wiele firm pod różnymi nazwami i markami. Co ciekawe receptura nieznacznie zmieniała się na przestrzeni lat i obecnie najbliższy oryginalnemu składowi z 1926 roku jest Ilford Id-11.

Kodak D23

Wywoływacz ten opracowano w 1944 roku. Jest to jeden z najprostszych wywoływaczy, zawiera zaledwie dwa składniki i wodę. Daje dość miękkie negatywy o dużej ilości szczegółów i dobrze wypracowanych światłach oraz nie zgubionych cieniach. Jak wspominałem wcześniej, D23 dość znacznie obniża światłoczułość filmu i z tego względu planując wywoływanie materiału w tym wywoływaczu, warto go trochę prześwietlić. Negatywy wywoływane w tym wywoływaczu charakteryzują się dobrą ostrością i drobnym ziarnem, chociaż zaznaczyć należy, iż D23 nie zalicza się do wywoływaczy ultra drobnoziarnistych. W rozcieńczeniach 1+1 i większych działa akutancyjnie. Kodak D23 nie jest obecnie produkowany, acz niektóre firmy konfekcjonują ten wywoływacz we własnym zakresie i sprzedają pod własną marką.

Kodak X-tol

Jest to uniwersalny wywoływacz normalny o dość drobnym ziarnie. Doskonale nadaje się do wywoływania filmów naświetlanych nominalnie lub do forsowania. W przeciwieństwie do innych wywoływaczy tego typu dobrze wyzyskuje światłoczułość emulsji. Negatywy wywoływane w x-tolu mają dobrze wyrobione kontrasty ze szczegółami zarówno w cieniach jak i w światłach. Wywoływacz ten daje ostry obraz, najostrzejszy przy rozcieńczeniu 1+1. Odpowiednikiem x-tola produkowanym przez ilforda jest wywoływacz ilfosol 3, który sprzedawany jest w formie koncentratu. (20. 4. 2020) Výběrově k českým podcastům o výběrové kávě.

Když muška spadne do piva, je to vždy nemilá situace, a za nouzového stavu to platí dvojnásob. Naštěstí jsem byl na podobnou svízel minulý týden dobře připraven a využil jeden z posledních párů rukavic, které mi zbyly od trénování zpětného oplachu. A pivo samotné, tedy Cherry Raspberry Kompot 17° Sour Ale od pivovaru Zhůřák, bylo úžasné a jde o první zápis do pivní TOP 10 za rok 2020. Druhou třetinku jsem si už bohužel dát nestihl, protože došlo (a můj oblíbený výčepní mi řekl, že si myslel, že mi to bude chutnat), ale vzpomínky na červený rybíz z dětství (ať už ten velkoplodý u babičky v Opavě anebo drobnější odrůdu v brněnské čtvrti, kde mají už dva pivovary), kynutou buchtu, kousky drobenky a bombičkový sifon s rybízovou šťávou byly neodbytné...

Ač je četba nejen v těchto dnech bezvadná věc, je nasnadě, že po dvanácti až šestnácti hodinách sledování písmenek a videí na telefonu nebo obrazovce počítače mohou oči pocítit únavu anebo dokonce začít štípat. Proto je vhodné dát jim odpočinout nejen zelení na procházce, ale zaměstnat i uši – třeba tuzemskými webovými pořady o kávě.

Výhodou formátu je zaměření na úzce vymezený problém bez časového limitu, vlezlé reklamy a zejména vycpávkových písniček téměř vždy pouštěných z playlistu. V letech 2005 až 2006 jsem brigádničil v malinké, studenty vytvářené a na studenty zaměřené rozhlasové stanici – kde platili hodinové honoráře, sice nijak zázračné, ale platili – a je opravdu otrava, když máte zajímavého hosta, třeba Erazima Koháka, a ať je rozhovor sebezajímavější, po nevelkém počtu minut přijde písnička, která dramaturgicky vůbec nezapadá do daného tématu.

V tomto mi pak jen dodalo, když se na mě loni v listopadu na doporučení tiskového mluvčího univerzity obrátili z Českého rozhlasu Brno s tím, jestli bych jim nepřispěl s něčím o kávě. Tedy štěk o cca 4 minutách do stanice Leonardo, přičemž předpokladem podle všeho byla vědecká kvalifikace v kávě a tak jsem dotyčné ihned vysvětlil, že moc nechápu, proč jí bylo dáno doporučení zrovna na mě a že jí přeji hodně štěstí najít v ČR někoho, kdo má z přírodovědného zaměření na kávu Ph.D. nebo docenturu. A na opakovaně vyjádřenou obavu, aby případný vstup nebyl příliš lifestylový, mohu říci jen tolik, že takhle uražen jsem nebyl od doby co... :-) Ale třeba jednou přijde den, kdy pod pláštíkem serióznosti a s pomocí hackera oklamu hudebního redaktora, vysílacího technika i editora dne a na vlnách Radiožurnálu k úděsu Jana Pokorného a celého vedení namísto nového alba Chinaski zazní třeba něco ze “Sibelia 23. století”.

Právě stopy rebelie a, chcete-li, disruptivní ráz podcastu, pro mě zosobňuje šestá a prozatím poslední epizoda Roast Different Mário Adamčíka. Při úvodním ze zhruba pěti poslechů jsem si pro sebe musel parafrázovat slova Jay Raynera, jež pronesl při hodnocení prvního chodu čtvrtfinálového vystoupení pozdějšího vítěze Masterchef The Professionals 2018: “I think this is the most disastrous start to a listening session I’ve ever had, because it can only be a downhill from here, can’t it?”

Proč? Jsou tři věci, které dělají zajímavý rozhlasový pořad nebo podcast. Kompetentní a připravený moderátor, zajímavý host a podnětné téma. A v šesté epizodě se všechny tyto faktory protnuly v úžasný výsledek. Na Adamčíkovi je “vidět”, že je připravený, že o svých hostech něco ví, ať už proto, že je osobně zná anebo si udělal rešerši. A jakkoli je poslední epizoda jeho podcastu rozkročena mezi více témat (počátky, zkušenosti a anekdoty točící se okolo cukrárny Alchymista, role české SCAE, čeští a slovenští pražiči a snahy o roasting championship a samozřejmě především dopady současné krize na kavárny), nikdy se tato nezvrhne v kámošské tlachání.

Obrovský podíl na úspěchu této části má osobnost a kultivovaný projev (divadelníka) Petra Holaty, který mě zaujal už svým moderováním na posledním Baristovi roku. A on i Adamčík se naprosto nerozpakují být kritičtí a kousaví vůči výběrové komunitě, což je v tuzemských poměrech, kde mediální i oborové rozpravě takřka neotřesitelně dominuje příběh kvality, poctivosti a kávového “probuzení”, něco ojedinělého. A za to, že oba pánové otevřeně řeknou, že známé značky (např. Candycane, Respekt, Doubleshot) mají i sekundární řadu pro kanceláře či firmy anebo že české a slovenské výběrové pražiče u té samé kávy cenově často porazí jejich konkurence z Evropy, by oba zasloužili metál.

Samozřejmě, ne všichni mají tolik co říct a takovou míru analytičnosti, nadhledu a zkušeností, jaké nasbíral za 13 let Petr Holata, ale jak Petr Kvasnička z ostravských Father’s, tak první slovenský Q grader a jeho zkušenosti určitě stojí za soustředěný poslech. A Jaroslav Slámečka je prostě Jaroslav Slámečka. Tedy zarputilý popularizátor české výběrové scény a (vlastními slovy) balič kávy v Candycane, který dle mého soudu vedle až příliš jednoznačných závěrů trpí i osvětovou nadprodukcí – vedle občas zašuměných a improvizovaně působících několikaminutových příspěvků spíše než plnokrevných podcastů na 365 cups of coffee točí i videa, věnuje se 365 cups na Facebooku, kávově radí ženám a aby toho nebylo málo, před pár dny spustil laděním spíše interní Candycane podcast.

Ale z jeho zpovídání v Roast Different jsme se dozvěděli, že Candycane mají coby současnou pražičku 20kg Mill City a že měsíčně udělají cca 1500 kg kávy (ve Father’s je měsíční produkce mezi 900 a 1100 kg zrnek a Happy Baristas v Berlíně uvaří měsíčně cca 150 až 180 kg kávy), což je fajn vědět a zvídavé dotazy Adamčíka na používané vybavení a měsíční objemy patří k tomu nejzajímavějšímu z jeho pořadu – a zrovna tak závěrečná palba otázek ve stylu buď anebo.

Zvukově jsou občas mezi jednotlivými programy velké rozdíly a je obtížné poslouchat rozhovor, kde díky nekvalitnímu záznamu ruší hudba anebo je děsivá akustika. V tomto ohledu rozhodně nemá problémy Rumelier, který spolu s Roast Different utíká nejen co do obsahu, ale i zvukové kvality ostatním podcastům. Oproti vyhraněně kávovému programu Mário Adamčíka má však projekt Jakuba Stejskala několik odlišností. Zaprvé je šířeji rozkročen co do zvaných osobností a dále je zde odlišný přístup moderátora, z něhož září optimismus a radost z aktivit hostů a někdy je to na můj vkus už skoro za hranou.

Jeho hezký rozhovor s Adamem Neubauerem jsem zmiňoval už v jednom z předchozích článků a nově jsem si poslechl i zbylé epizody zaměřené na kávu (pražič The Space, majitel Kofi-Kofi a Táňa Kmenta a Momenta), přičemž povídání s bossem vozítek se strašlivou kávou určitě stojí za pozornost (celý podnik už zaměstnává více než 150 lidí a spoluzakladatel má ještě prodejnu elektrokol a je vášnivý muškař) a to, že tady asi káva opravdu nebude na prvním místě, potvrzuje i krédo ze závěru epizody (”My opravdu nepřipravujeme kávu, my prostě děláme zážitek, prostě, ti lidi, opravdu, se k nám vrací, protože ten barista s nimi pokecá, ten barista s nimi, jim zlepší, prostě, den”).

A Táňa Kmenta? Přiznávám, že Momentu bojkotuji, protože při druhé návštěvě před více než čtyřmi lety mě obsluha ignorovala (po 26 minutách a pěti průchodech lidí přes plac jsem to vzdal a šel si objednat dovnitř) a jejich tiramisu bylo říznuté smetanou jakkoli mi všichni při objednávání tvrdili, že je tam jen mascarpone.

Vyložená legrace je pasáž o kávě v Momentě. Začíná to ve 26:35, kdy se Kmenta pohoršuje nad mastnou a italskou kávou (před těmi x, x lety, tedy 5 lety, když s kávou začala, ji pila, ale dnes by si ji už nedala) a dále informuje, že Momenta často dělá cappuccino “napřímo” (některé národy mají údajně rády cappuccino “na vysrknutí” a jiné zase teplé). Ale co víc: v Momentě si prý každou kávu, každou porci kávy, váží, dělají si na to čas. (Světe div se, to je opravdu nevídané...) A její baristi s třískupinovým XLVI zjevně usilují o nové a drahé kávové hračky a paní Táně podle všeho trochu věší bulíky na nos:

“Ta káva nám vydělává naštěstí tolik, že si můžeme dovolit vod začátku vlastně koupit už zase jinej, novej mlýnek, jako jo, kterej mě vysvětlujou, že chladí, jo, a že kdyby nechladil, takže vlastně už, když se to mele, tak už vlastně ničím tu kávu. Jo? Takže, já se pořád dozvídám nový a nový věci a stojí to víc a víc peněz, jako jo, protože by nejradši po mě chtěli teďka po třech letech, abych koupila ještě jinej kávovar, ještě větší Mercedes, prostě, aby to byl Bentley...

Nedivil bych se, kdyby vzal brzy za kliku podniku spokojený obchoďák Nuova Simonelli/Victoria Arduino a položil na bar bílou nebo černou PC case s číslem 2. :-) V Momentě používají kávu, která je několik dní napražená a podle Kmenty je ideální asi osmej den. Konec zábavy je ve 31:27 min. Když nic jiného, oněch zhruba pět minut opravdu doporučuji. :-)

Podcast Doubleshotu je pro mě svého druhu zvukový obchod. Probírají se zde historky z farem, se kterými pražírna spolupracuje, popisují jednotlivé kávové regiony a pozornost má i dění v pražírně (nové kávy, naskladněné vybavení a firemní úspěchy). Proletěl jsem namátkou pár epizod a odnesl si aspoň vysvětlení toho, proč se pražírna zbavuje výborných a ještě nerozbalených mlýnků. Ano, je v tom zase touha hrát si a honit se za vysokými extrakcemi, ale trochu pochybuji, že se to u většiny doubleshotích káv projeví. Úplně chápu přání ticha a snadné údržby, ale kladu si otázku, jak asi funguje pražírna, která nakoupí nové mlýnky a pak se jich vzápětí, oslepena novým modelem, zase zbavuje :-)

Pro úplnost dodávám, že jsem nalezl i čtyři epizody podcastu Mamacoffee, ale jelikož jejich kávu považuji za velmi průměrnou (naposledy ochutnáno na jaře 2018 po úprku z ministerstva a při čekání na otevření Geek Beer Baru na Vinohradech, cca 10/20), netoužil jsem po zvukové ochutnávce. A pro úplnost ještě musím zmínit liberecký podcast Na Jedno Kafe, který jsem kromě Elišky Jandové také nechal bez většího průzkumu, protože manželů Daviesových, Zdeňka Hýbla a koneckonců i Ondřeje Hurtíka je všude kolem nás docela dost. Takže nastražte uši a zkuste to prosím sami, protože tentokrát jsem to pojal opravdu výběrově.
