Tokyo revenger one shot (Drakenxreader fluff) [she/her]
The door of a brothel opened. "Welcome young lady, is it your first time here?"
"Ah, yes but..."
"Would you prefer a woman or a man to take care of-"
"Actually," her cheeks burnt a bit as she spoke up, "I'm not here for this." She gulped.
"Oh, aren't you the girl that's always around Draken?" The woman slowly recognized her.
"Y-yes..."
"Oh, my. Sorry dear. I'm a bit busy these days."
"That's okay. Well, actually I'm-" She coughed. "I came because he's my friend and I wanted to check up on him."
"Why? What's wrong with him?"
"Uh, he- he's sick, right?"
"I don't know, dear. The door to his room is on this floor, last door at your right."
"Thank you, ma'am." She felt weird about it, but still went without asking anything more. She tried to ignore the sounds all around and knocked on the door firmly.
"Draken?"
"[Name]...?" The boy that was hidden in his bed, muttered weakly.
"You look so tired!" She gasped as she opened the door.
"Why'd you come? I told you I was okay."
"Well, you sure as hell don't look fine." She carried a thermos container to his desk.
"Don't get up." She demanded.
"It looks heavy, let me help." The sick one insisted.
"You're sick! Stay down."
He frowned which she tutted to, as amused as annoyed.
"Plus, if you actually decided to stay home, it can only mean one thing. You neglected your body's needs for so long it broke down."
"What's with the exaggeration?" He wheezed.
"Don't make fun of me. Accept the truth!" She pursed her lips out. "You scold me for not eating, but you didn't eat anything, did you?"
"It's not the same thing." He assured.
"It is. Fortunately I'm here."
"I'm not even hungry but I guess I'll eat it since you made it."
"You better! I poured my heart in this..." She mumbled.
"What'd you make?"
"Take a guess."
"Porridge?" He hummed.
She gasped. "I should've made that! Isn't this the best Japanese remedy for sickness?" She sighed, beating herself up mentally.
"Hey, that's okay. I'd eat anything up right now."
"Really?" She looked up at him, teary-eyed. "That actually doesn't make me feel better." She sighed, lowering her head simultaneously.
"Just tell me what you made."
"Curry..." She hesitated.
"Huh? Are you kidding? How could I not be happy with it??"
"Hmmn." She tried to be as resilient as her boyfriend.
"You remembered it's my favorite dish. I can't believe you made it for me."
Seeing him smile, she felt a bit better. "I guess eating something is better than nothing."
"This is all I could wish for."
She sat down next to him. "Do you want to eat now?"
"I'll do it later."
After a while she finally said what had been on her mind all this time. "...I wanted to tell your mother we were dating." She looked down at her hands while the sick boy sat up quickly. "Did you tell her?!" He asked with wide eyes.
"Is it really a bad thing? You don't want to tell her, neither do you want to let the others know. Are you embarrassed?" She pouted."Hey, of course I'm not. Don't say stupid stuff like that." "I guess..."
"I just don't want them to annoy you, there could be a lot of pressure from them knowing." "I get that, but we're kinda engaged already, remember?"He smirked weakly. "How could I forget that stuff, huh?"
"Then, why? Why couldn't they all know?"
"I guess I'm embarrassed... of myself." Her heart dropped for a second. Why'd he have to speak his sentences in two parts. "Because you're supposed to be emotionless?"
"Yeah, 'cause I've build up this character for me, ya know? I had never thought I'd be dating someone like you." He said, looking genuine. Gentle eyes that waited for an answer, a sign of understanding. "And that's positive."
She pushed her hair behind her ear. "Cute..." She mumbled. "You better be telling the truth, I'm telling ya!" She smiled to herself.
"Oh right! I got some notes from your classmates even though I know you don't really pay attention in class..." she mumbled that last part.
"You went in there to ask them?"
"Yeah, well. That'd be the only way, wouldn't it?"
"Amazing..." He exclaimed. "How'd you get in though?"
"Mikey.." She grinned, obviously proud of it. The sick boy nodded." Did anybody try to flirt with you?"
"Hey! Why would anybody flirt with me?"
He frowned. "There you go again. Don't badmouth my girlfriend!" They chuckled.
"You're welcome." she laid the papers on his desk. "Anyways, I know you're crazy about me, but you should really rest. So, I'll leave, yeah?" She smiled. "This can stay out of the fridge today but make sure to put it away later so you can eat more of it." She approached her boyfriend and pecked his forehead carefully. She caressed his hair out of his face slowly before smiling comfortably. Before she could pull away, Draken's hand came to caress her plump fingers.
"Stay a bit more." He hesitated to say.
Those exact words resonated into her head countless times before she could process them. Maybe they were right? Maybe she was his only soft spot.
She stayed cuddled onto him for some time before Draken spoke up. "I'll tell my parents myself alright? It'd be even more embarrassing if it came from you."
"I guess you're right." Feeling his erratic breathing, she thought of how she could get sick in no time as well, but she didn't move. If she wanted to do so, she would have. His arms were laying on her body confidently, making her feel loved. Perfectly perfect, in the most perfect of places.
