I don’t know if anyone else has thought of this but I really like the thought that TMAGP kinda might be like if Sasha was the main character. Like, I don’t know I mean a lot of us have come to the consensus that Gwen is Jon coded and Alice is Tim Coded and Sam is Sasha coded. But in TMA we don’t get a lot of Sasha bc yk ⚠️!!!Spoiler Alert!!!⚠️ She dies. And we know that Gertrude intended for her to be Head Archivist instead of Jon. Sam is relentlessly curious and a little reckless (but hey, what’s caution in the face of knowledge’s pursuit?) just like we see Sasha is when she decides to FOLLOW MICHAEL. INTO A CEMETERY. And I love that Jon is our Archivist, don’t get me wrong, but sometimes I mourn the fact that we don’t get to see Sasha in action, even as a side character, as one of Jon’s companions. I dunno I just like to think that we get to see a little bit of Sasha as a main character in everything Sam does, enjoy just a liiiitle bit of her potential and personality a tad longer, even if it’s through a completely different character. Or yk. I cld be wrong. Idk.

sasha could’ve been a major character, she was an archival assistant, but she was eaten by the not!them. if she’d stuck around we would’ve learned her history that’s only hinted at in the text, but she was eaten by the not!them.

when she was eaten by the stranger she was made a stranger to us. she was made unknown, so now we do not know her.

Truly tragic that we don’t get more of season one TMA gang and their investigations. Like Tim was flirting his way into confidential files and straight up stealing. Man was combing through thousands of incident files just in case something relevant came up instead of just going ah well I've done my reasonable diligence like a normal person would. Sasha was ‘turning up’ security footage and private info that there is no way she just happened to find and willingly followed mr ominous knife hands into a graveyard like that's not the start of a horror movie if ever I've seen one. Martin broke into some guys basement (twice!) to stick it to his boss. And Jon. Oh Jon. You can put the neurotic obsessive in a management position, but you cannot take the neurotic obsession out of the man. I truly believe that feral, around the world let's have tea with a murders and shake their hands is just an extreme (traumatised) version of normal researcher Jon.

I want their scoobie doo, CSI, Mystery Files investigations of supernatural events. I want Hawaiian shirt Tim seducing info out of nurses while running on two hours of sleep and coffee. I want Sasha with UKs version of Area 51's passwords bookmarked on her phone. I want Martin to punch a man (he has it in him, I believe in him).

i think i just came up with the most crack yet angstiest hc I could

so. back during s1 and even before that, tim and sasha had a shared wattpad account where they would write the cheesiest fics (in a satire way)

after sasha gets replaced, tim updates the fic, saying its going on hiatus and that he'll try to see if it'll be back

s3 tim..........hoo Boy

s3 tim updates the fic, but it's not the typical corny chapter the readers would expect. no, it's a vent chapter-

it uses the same main character, but there are now placeholders for the people in tim's life

elias' placeholder gets beaten to death by the main character

jon's placeholder almost gets shot, but the mc ends up having a breakdown sooo

martin's placeholder is yelled at for being naïve

melanie and basira's placeholders are apologized to for being brought into this mess

sasha and danny............i know it would be the angstiest part of the chapter, but i'm not sure if he'd write sasha n danny comforting him or blaming him, so. yeah

once the unknowing happens, martin logs onto tim's computer to give the readers an update, since he knew how much the fic meant to sasha and tim

he tells the readers that tim has died, not including the details of how. he just says that the fic will no longer be continued as both the authors have died

This is poisoning me

The Crack Side: Martin writes it Ao3-In-Average-Peril Style “no excuses for Tim’s absence: he died”

The Painful Side: Martin writes Tim’s death into his story (changes it a bit) and then in the end notes, apologizes and bids one last goodbye
