Seb left a 40 million dollar contract to be at Mercedes, and has so clearly been delegated to the number two driver. He must have known how the team was going to treat him, as the new driver and as someone who hasn’t won the WDC in a few years. He had known, and had signed the contract anyways.

Lewis thinks about whether he trusts Seb, and what trust even means, for people like them.

oh my god, one of my favorite fics of all time! i've read it twice even though it's pretty long by my standards.

unfortunately, i haven't currently read too many seblewis fics, feel free to recommend me any of your faves. i hope you find something to enjoy here!

A million little times | Lewis/Nico, Lewis/Seb

Lewis used to think that if he just pushed hard enough, pushed hard enough for the both of them, they could be who they were in the beginning. Back when their worst enemies weren’t each other, back when they could have a conversation that didn’t end in screaming or complete silence.

When he started sleeping with Seb, he knew there was no going back. This was it; there was no fixing it anymore. They’d never be Lewis and Nico again; at least not in the way everyone thought they were.

Hi dear, thank you for the prompt, here you go! Hope you'll enjoy it, a bit short and a little cliché, but it was fun to write XD

“So," Lewis drawled, arms crossed and face closed. "You lied to me.”

Sebastian looked down, helpless.

"You said you wouldn't retire," Lewis stammered, taking a step closer, and Sebastian had to fight the urge to put more distance between them. He had never been scared of Lewis before.

"I'm sorry," he mumbled, still looking at his feet, unable to face Lewis' fury. "You would've tried to change my mind."

"A sorry is not gonna cut it," Lewis growled. "Of course I would've tried! You belong here, on the track, in the car!"

And, after a moment of silence, he added, so softly that Sebastian almost missed it,

"With me."

He snapped his head up, surprised to find sorrow instead of anger in Lewis' traits. He was the one to take a step forward, this time, and pulled Lewis into a tight embrace.

"You can't leave me, please," he begged. Sebastian could feel the fabric of his shirt a little damp, where Lewis was pressing his face. Fuck.

He had made Lewis Hamilton cry. He was never going to be able to forgive himself. He had made his best friend, the sweetest, kindest human being he knew, cry.

"I'm not abandoning you, I promise," he tried to reassure him, petting his back clumsily. "I still want to see you, Lew. I'm not gonna disappear, we'll always be friends, you know that, right?"

Lewis pushed him away, suddenly. He was flustered, eyes red, and looking angry again.

"You don't get it, Seb," he shook his head. "You're not just a friend to me. That's why I can't lose you!"

He was crying again, and Sebastian was too overwhelmed to know how to react. He got into motion when Lewis turned his back and darted away - he caught him by the wrist, just before he could get away.

"I didn't know," Sebastian blurted out. "I swear! Otherwise I wouldn't have-"

"Wouldn't have what? Lied to me?" Lewis scoffed.

"Wouldn't have lost all this time," he whispered, tugging at Lewis' arm to pull him back to him.

Lewis consented to turn, unnaturally shy, suddenly.

"Can I kiss you?" Sebastian asked, and Lewis nodded. He gently cupped his jaw with his hand, lifting his chin, and their eyes met - just before Lewis leaned in, closing his eyes.

Sebastian met him halfway, his eyes shut.

Do you mean f1 pairings? Bc, in that case, it’s exclusively charlos (and chalex if em is writing it) LOL. When I have an OTP, it totally consumes me to the point I can’t see outside of it. Altho when I first started watching f1 and wasn’t yet deep into my charlos brainrot, I read a couple seblewis fics and maybe tried maxiel ? But it feels like that was a lifetime ago haha (outside of f1, I read stony, dinluke, ronan/adam (trc), james bond/Q, and arthur/eames (inception))

When it comes to tropes, it sorta depends on the pairing. But my top tag in my ao3 bookmarks is ‘angst’ apparently 😂 followed by hurt/comfort. I love a good soulmate fic, enemies/friends to lovers, slow burn, mutual pining, sharing a bed… Basically anything I’ve written is a trope I also love to read haha. This isn’t really a ‘trope’ but historical/royalty AUs are a big love of mine as well

Lewis steps up to the operating table, rolling his shoulders, cracking his neck.

“Put on the Beatles for him. Maybe some —“

Yuki grins from across the patient, eyes crinkling above his mask. Lewis bites back a smile.

“Can we mute the gallery, please?”

Sebastian’s laugh is cut off halfway through. Lewis is halfway through the surgery, ten hours in, when he caves and tells one of the nurses to change his playlist to one of the Beatles albums, Yuki wisely saying nothing, only ducking his head and watching Lewis work.
