🖤 Phantom - Is your F/O superstitious? Are they interested much in the paranormal or the occult? - Oh, very much so. Luna definitely seems like the type to take a strong interest in those kinds of things, and appreciating them for what they are rather than simply decrying them for not being “ordinary” or “normal”. Besides, considering the way Pokémon are, a lot of what would count as supernatural in the real world is probably quite natural indeed to her! Plus, one of her closest friends is Shade, who is quite literally a floating black silhouetted entity whom no-one really knows much about. So, suffice it to say, this is her thing =P

🕸 Widow - Does your F/O like spiders? - I don't see why she wouldn't! Luna has never been shown to have any spider-like Pokémon, but at the same time, well - she can relate to them greatly, as something that dwells in the darkness and is often feared and seen as a scary monstrous thing. (Her dialogue around her Gym battle is definitely coming to mind here ;w;) So I think she would be fine with them!! Even if they might not be overly common in the castle to begin with, given that she likes to keep it tidy - for some reason I can also imagine Gardevoir, her best friend, being very loudly scared by spiders (something, something, Psychic-types are weak to Bug), so she may not interact with them overly often for this reason.

Trees (What is your f/o's comfort items(s) and vice versa?)-

For Armin, it may sound strange, but he finds comfort in our bedsheets. We sleep there every night and read together so there are good memories, and he likes how they smell. I think he's used to finding comfort in a blanket because he was really attached to one when he was young. I like taking his bookmarks. We both like reading so it's nice to be reminded of him when I open or close a book when we're apart.

As for Osamu, he likes to steal my hair ties and wear them on his wrists, especially during missions. He likes to keep a piece of me with him, and it's subtle enough that no one could use it to track anything. I, on the other hand, love stealing his trench coat. It's so big and it has lots of pockets and it smells like him. Sometimes he lets me wear it when we go out during the colder months.

Snow (What hobbies do you two have in common or enjoy doing together?)-

Armin: reading, being introverts, talking philosophy, watching the rain, coffee shops, really sad stories, communicating without words.

Osamu: Cat cafes, rom coms, reading, learning to cook something new, feeding stray cats, singing along to the radio, subtle touches.

Garden- (How would you describe your f/o's vibe?)-

Armin switches between light and dark academia depending on his mood. It intensifies when he wears his glasses. Always very cozy. He likes cardigans and button up shirts at the beach on a windy day. A very warm person, everyone trusts him. He gives off a kind of reserved intelligence, he's smart and observant but waiting to use it at the right time. Osamu gives off a pretty nice coffee shop aesthetic, at least when it comes to his clothing. When you first meet him, he's pretty charismatic and most people often immediately like or hate him, but there's always this inkling under the surface that there's more to know.

Soil (What aesthetic reminds you of your f/o or you and your f/o's bond?)- I wasn't really sure how to answer this, so I looked up a quiz and found that I was satisfied with the results.

Okay I’ve been simmering on this today but like. We need more representations of fatness and weight gain as signs of healing. So so often in media weight loss is meant to be a sign of becoming healthier or happier and I’m ready to see more of the opposite!

Give me characters who hadn’t had secure access to food in the past having stable food and filling out from finally being able to eat when they’re hungry.

Give me characters who have always felt like they had to adhere to a standard for fear of judgment finally gaining weight as they become more comfortable with themselves and their bodies.

Give me couples getting fatter together because they know they’ll be loved and because life’s too short to worry about dieting and controlling intake all the time.

Give me characters who’ve struggled with disordered eating habits in the past who get progressively chunkier as they recover with the help of people who adore them.

Give me fatness as a sign of comfort. Of health. Of security and recovery and confidence. Give me fatness as a sign of happiness.

hey. it's okay that your self-ship blog is small.

your blog doesn't need to be big or be noticed by tons of people to be considered a "good" one. your self-ship doesn't need to be noticed and praised by tons of people to be considered valid. you don't need any followers to help validate that your self-ship is good enough.

the point of self-shipping is to feel love for a character in a way that makes you happy. a romantic f/o is supposed to make you feel special and loved. a platonic f/o is supposed to make you feel like someone has your back. a familial f/o is supposed to make you feel like you have someone to come home to. a pet f/o is supposed to make you feel happy and joyful. an enemy f/o is supposed to make you feel creative.

getting a lot of notes, a ton of asks, a bunch of followers- that doesn't matter. self-shipping is not a popularity thing, it's not a trend, it's not something you should feel the need to put yourself out for.

you should do it to have fun, feel comforted, be safe, think of yourself, take care of your mental and physical health. do it because it makes you happy. do it for your f/o that'll know you better than any follower or anon ever will.
