“Don’t want the Board to watch,” Darling explains, not without an edge of embarrassment. “I mean, can you imagine if this --” he gestures to the small space between them-- “showed up on their minutes? I’d be-- mortified , is the word.”
Trench stares at him. It takes him a moment to find the coherency to respond.
“I’m sure,” he manages to say, “they wouldn’t mind extracurricular activities.”
a scene from my trench/darling fic, "minutes of the meeting" <3 i may not have finished the game yet but i am utterly enamored with darling and trench's dynamic of the bureau's golden child and his handler υ´• ﻌ •`υ

Summary:
Time slowed, and the only thing his mind registered was a flash of red before it went numb.
"Sir!" Donovan turned to the owner of that voice. "Koschev and Vlad will remain with the young master. The paramedics are almost here, and they will transport him to King William Hospital as soon as they arrive. We really should-"
"I need a moment before we leave."
"But it's dangerous, and we have yet to determine if there might be others lurking about..."
Donovan silenced him with a glare strong enough to wither flowers, before stalking past the sea of people surrounding the victim of the scene. He leaned down next to the fallen body, the expensive silk of his suit trousers staining against the dirt and blood.
